In our study, we evaluated simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers from expressed sequence tags (ESTs) of Fenneropenaeus chinensis. Characteristics of 11 EST-SSR loci were investigated using 34 F. chinensis individuals. The number of alleles per locus ranged from 4 to 9. The observed heterozygosity ranged from 0.118 to 0.826,
while the expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.623 to 0.847. Two loci (T2 and T12) conformed to the Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium.
There was no LD observed between all pairs of EST-SSRs loci. The PIC values of 11 microsatellite loci were higher than 0.5.
These loci and markers will be useful for population genetics and systemic evolution of F. chinensis. 相似文献

We isolated and characterized 15 microsatellite loci from the endemic Jamaican streamertail hummingbird Trochilus polytmus. Loci were screened in 12 individuals of both T. polytmus and its sister species T. scitulus, also a Jamaican endemic. The number of alleles per locus ranged from 2 to 10, observed heterozygosity ranged from 0 to 1,
and the probability of identity values ranged from 0.038 to 0.663. These new loci provide tools for characterizing the narrow

Twenty-six polymorphic microsatellite markers were developed for the fox squirrel (Sciurus niger). The number of alleles ranged from 2 to 11 and observed heterozygosities ranged from 0.037 to 0.815. Preliminary screening
revealed that numerous loci also were polymorphic in other squirrel species: Sciurus carolinensis and Tamiasciurus hudsonicus. These loci should be useful tools for investigating the social structure, mating tactics and movement behavior of fox squirrels. 相似文献

A total eight polymorphic microsatellite loci were obtained from genomic library of Indian feather back, Chitala chitala (order Osteoglossiformes, family Notopteridae) and the 46 samples were analysed to determine genetic variation. The mean number of alleles per locus ranged from 4.50 to 5.25, and expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.124 to 0.852. Deviation from Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium expectations (P < 0.002) was observed at loci Cch2, Cch9 (Bhaghirathi) and Cch9 (Brahmaputra). The identified microsatellite loci were found promising for population genetics studies of C. chitala and related species Notopterus notopterus (family Notopteridae). 相似文献

The first five variable microsatellite DNA loci for mangrove crab, Scylla paramanosain, were developed. Allelic variation and other characteristics at these loci were examined in this species captured at the Urado Bay, Japan. The number of alleles per locus ranged from 24 to 44. The expected heterozygosity across loci ranged from 0.900 to 0.999 and probability of identity (PI) ranged from 2.8 × 10?3 to 1.7 × 10?2. Here we report development and characterization of 14 polymorphic microsatellite loci from Sebastes schlegel. Polymorphism at these loci revealed from 3 to 23 alleles. The observed heterozygosity ranged from 0.34 to 1.00, and the
expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.31 to 0.95. No linkage disequibrium was found. Two loci were significantly deviated
from HWE (P < 0.01). The 14 loci were also surveyed in four other Sebastes species and 12 loci successfully amplified, where allelic diversity ranged from highly polymorphic to monomorphic. These

We describe the microscopic structure of the sperm storage tubules (SSTs) of the polygynandrous alpine accentor, Prunella collaris. The SSTs were found at the utero‐vaginal junction of the oviduct and were composed of a single layer of columnar epithelium. The cells of the tubule proper were non‐ciliated and had a round or oval nucleus in their basal portion. Their cytoplasm was finely or coarsely vacuolated due to lipid inclusions. Under the electron microscope, the epithelial cells exhibited a number of mitochondria, Golgi bodies, occasional lysosome‐like dense bodies, granular endoplasmic reticula, junctional complex, and tonofilaments. The apical margin of the cells was fringed with numerous microvilli. The epithelial lining of the SSTs was devoid of mucous cells, but showed occasional infiltration of lymphoid cells. No contractile elements were found in association with the SSTs, but a close apposition of unmyelinated nerve fibres to the basal part of the SST cells was recognized. Intraluminal sperm were arranged in bundles, and their heads were orientated towards the distal portion of the SSTs. Evidence for engulfment of sperm by the SST cells was obtained for the first time. A sign of atrophy or regression of the SSTs was found in one specimen. 相似文献

Eight polymorphic microsatellite markers were developed from morphotype L1 of the Southeast Asian army ant, Aenictus laeviceps in Borneo, and characterized for morphotypes L1 and L2. The number of alleles per locus ranged from nine to 24 (average 15) in morphotype L1 and two to 16 (average 9.8) in L2. Observed heterozygosity ranged from 0.75 to 0.96 in morphotype L1 and from 0.08 to 0.96 in L2. All loci were in Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium. One pair of loci showed linkage disequilibrium in morphotype L1. All markers successfully amplified in morphotype S, and some markers amplified in other Aenictus species. 相似文献

In order to study hybridisation, taxonomic boundaries and phylogeography in the genus Pseudopanax (Araliaceae), we developed seven novel microsatellite loci from enriched genomic libraries of P. lessonii and P. crassifolius. In this study, we isolated 20 novel microsatellites loci associated with the growth of Hexagrammos otakii (Fat greenling) by using 2b-RAD sequencing method. The characteristics of 20 microsatellite loci were amplified in 105 H. otakii individuals which came from four different groups and tested by Capillary electrophoresis. The number of allele of the 20 microsatellite loci ranged from 8 to 26 with an average of 19.95. PIC value ranged from 0.1659 to 0.9227 with an average of 0.7555. Observed and expected heterozygosity varied from 0.0667 to 0.8571 and from 0.1710 to 0.9314, respectively. Highly polymorphic characteristics were observed in each microsatellite loci of the study except HO6. Further research showed that 10 microsatellite loci had transferability in Hexagrammos agrammus. In this study, high polymorphism and genetic diversity using the 15 polymorphic microsatellite loci suggest that they are suitable for investigating the fine-scale population structure, genetic relationship and further evaluating the artificial reproduction strategy of H. otakii. 相似文献

Eight polymorphic microsatellite loci were isolated and characterized from the Bengalese finch (Lonchura striata var. domestica). In analyses of 25 individuals, the number of alleles ranged from two to four, and observed heterozygosity ranged between 0.05 and 0.73. At four loci, the observed heterozygosity of the Bengalese finches was significantly different from the expected heterozygosity. Primer sets were also tested in Javan munia (Lonchura leucogastroides), and the same eight loci were successfully amplified. Dioon edule (Zamiaceae) is an endemic Mexican cycad. Nineteen microsatellite loci were isolated from three enriched genomic libraries of D. edule var. angustifolium, D. tomasellii, and D. caputoi. Seven of these loci showed polymorphisms in D. edule. Levels of polymorphism were assessed using 16 individuals from each of seven populations throughout the range of this species. The number of alleles per locus ranged from two to five and the observed and expected heterozygosities ranged from 0.0 to 0.9821 and from 0.0088 to 0.6318, respectively.
