A new ichnospecies of Arthrophycus Hall 1852, A. minimus , is described from Upper Cambrian-Lower Tremadocian, shallow-marine strata of northwest Argentina. This new ichnospecies consists of small, long, regularly annulated hypichnial elements displaying subcircular to squarish cross-section and a ventral median groove. Side branches are occasionally present, but palmate, fan-like structures and scribbling patterns are absent. We adopt a relatively narrow diagnosis of Arthrophycus , suggesting that roughly annulated, cylindrical structures should not be included in this ichnogenus, unless other diagnostic features (i.e., squarish cross-section, median groove, zipper-like annulations) are also present. Arthrophycus is a common ichnotaxon in Ordovician-Silurian shallow-marine siliciclastic environments. Post-Paleozoic occurrences are removed from Arthrophycus . Arthrophycus has been proposed as a biostratigraphic index fossil in Ordovician-Silurian rocks. The presence of A. minimus in the Santa Rosita Formation of northwest Argentina indicates that Arthrophycus ranges at least from the Upper Cambrian-Lower Tremadocian with probable representatives in the Lower Cambrian and, therefore, its biostratigraphic utility is extended. Arthrophycus minimus represents the first Cambrian occurrence exhibiting not only fine, diagnostic morphologic features, but also the classical Arthrophycus behavioral pattern in dense monoichnospecific assemblages. The exploratory behavioral pattern displayed by A. minimus is simpler than that of the younger ichnospecies, particularly A. brogniartii, A. alleghaniensis, and A. lateralis . This is consistent with the basal position of A. minimus within the arthrophycid lineage.  相似文献

The MAT A locus of Yarrowia lipolytica, which was on the basis of its ability to induce sporulation in a diploid B/B strain, represses the mating capacity of this strain. The gene functions required for induction of sporulation and repression of conjugation could be separated by subcloning. Sequence analysis revealed two ORFs in the MAT A locus. One of them (MAT A1) codes for a protein of 119 amino acids which is required to induce sporulation. The other (MAT A2) codes for a protein of 291 amino acids that is able to repress conjugation. Both genes are oriented divergently from a central promoter region, which possesses putative TATA and CAAT boxes for both genes. The product of MAT A1 shows no homology to any known protein and seems to represent a new class of mating-type genes. MAT A2 contains a HMG box with homology to other mating-type genes. Both MAT A1 and MAT A2 are mating-type specific. In cells of both mating types, the regions flanking the MAT A locus contain sequences with homology to either S. cerevisiae SLA2 and ORF YBB9, respectively. From hybridization and subcloning data we estimate that the MAT A region is approximately 2 kb long and is present only once in the genome. Summary. The Adoretini of the Malagasy endemic genus Adorodocia Brenske 1893 is revised. Fourteen new species and one new subspecies are described and compared with their most closely related species: A. constricta n. sp., A. cuccodoroi n. sp., A. flava n. sp., A. liliae n. sp., A. marginata n. sp., A. peyrierasi n. sp., A. pseudoconstricta n. sp., A. pseudoflava n. sp., A. pseudostrigata n. sp., A. recta n. sp., A. robusta n. sp., A. sogai n. sp., A. vadoni n. sp., A. viettei n. sp. and A. vittaticollis flavipes n. ssp. The synonymy between Adoretus strigatus Waterhouse 1878, and Pseudadorodocia aenigma Arrow 1901, is confirmed. Thus, based on the results of this study, the genus Adorodocia includes 16 species, and one of them is represented by two subspecies. Diagnostic characters to separate the species in the genus deal mostly with the shape of parameres, color of body and legs, shape of pronotum and female eighth tergite, setation of pronotum and elytra. Key to species, diagnoses and distribution for each species are provided. Endophallus and female genitalia are illustrated for the first time for this genus.  相似文献

Alansmia, a new genus of grammitid ferns is described and combinations are made for the 26 species known to belong to it. Alansmia is supported by five morphological synapomorphies: setae present on the rhizomes, cells of the rhizome scales turgid, both surfaces of the rhizome scales ciliate, laminae membranaceous, and sporangial capsules setose. Other diagnostic characters include pendent fronds with indeterminate growth, concolorous, orange to castaneous rhizome scales with ciliate or sometimes glandular margins, hydathodes often cretaceous, and setae simple, paired or stellate. The group also exhibits the uncommon characteristic of producing both trilete and apparently monolete spores, sometimes on the same plant. New combinations are made for Alansmia alfaroi, A. bradeana, A. canescens, A. concinna, A. contacta, A. cultrata, A. dependens, A. diaphana, A. elastica, A. glandulifera, A. heteromorpha, A. immixta, A. kirkii, A. lanigera, A. laxa, A. longa, A. monosora, A. reclinata, A. semilunaris, A. senilis, A. smithii, A. spathulata, A. stella var. stella, A. stella var. flava, A. turrialbae, A. variabilis, A. xanthotrichia. Lectotypifications are made for Alansmia concina, A. variabilis, Polypodium ciliare, P. flexile, and P. ovalescens. The genus is named in honor of pteridologist Alan R. Smith.  相似文献

During the formation of radical A (2) and its precursor (tris(2-deoxy-2-L-ascorbyl)amine, 1) by the reaction of dehydroascorbic acid (DHA) with amino acid, ascorbic acid (AsA) and the reduced red pigment (3) were newly identified, in addition to scorbamic acid (SCA) and the red pigment (4), as intermediate products. The addition of AsA to the DHA-amino acid reaction, as well as to the DHA-SCA reaction, greatly increased the formation of 3 and 1. The reaction of AsA with 4 gave rapidly 3, followed by the gradual production of 1. From these results, a reaction pathway is proposed that 3 formed by the reduction of 4 with AsA is a key intermediate and its condensation with DHA followed by reduction with AsA might produce 2 and 1.  相似文献

Pitipeptolides A (1) and B (2) are cyclic depsipeptides isolated from the marine cyanobacterium Lyngbya majuscula from Piti Bomb Holes, Guam. Additional analogues have now been isolated by revisiting larger collections of the same cyanobacterium. The four identified analogues, pitipeptolides C–F (36), are the tetrahydro analogue (3), an analogue with a lower degree of methylation (4) as well as two homologues (5 and 6) of pitipeptolide A. Their structures were elucidated using 2D NMR experiments, chiral HPLC analysis and comparison with pitipeptolide A. The identified analogues showed weaker cytotoxic activities compared to the two major parent compounds, pitipeptolides A (1) and B (2), against HT-29 colon adenocarcinoma and MCF7 breast cancer cells. On the other hand, pitipeptolide F (6) was the most potent pitipeptolide in a disc diffusion assay against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The latter finding suggests that the structure of pitipeptolides could be optimized for selective antibacterial activity.  相似文献

目的 分析河北省二甲、三甲医院卫生技术人员参加继续医学教育项目学习的状况和经费负担特点。方法 采用分层抽样方法对45所二甲、三甲医院6 013名卫生技术人员问卷调查和描述性研究方法分析。结果 三甲医院人员各类项目参加率均高于二甲医院。两级医院人员参加率高的项目有收益率低,参加率与有收益率背离。教育费用负担有单位全部负担、单位和个人共同负担和个人全部负担3种形式。二甲医院3种负担的课程次数构成比分别为22.23%、16.03%、61.74%,单位全部负担和个人全部负担是主要的负担形式;三甲医院为19.50%、29.56%、50.94%,单位和个人共同负担是主要的负担形式。结论 投入不足和制度落实不到位是二甲医院滞后的主要原因,单位和个人共同负担是较为合理的负担形式。  相似文献

This paper describes Ascogrammitis, a new genus of grammitid ferns formerly combined under Terpsichore. Seventeen species are recognized, including five new ones: A. clavigera, A. colombiensis, A. loxensis, A. oxapampensis, and A. tungurahuae. New combinations are made for A. alan-smithii, A. anfractuosa, A. angustipes, A. athyrioides, A. clathrata, A. cuencana, A. david-smithii, A. dilatata, A. nana, A. pichinchae, A. pichinchensis, A. stuebelii, and a lectotype is chosen for Polypodium induens. A key is provided to distinguish the species, and illustrations are provided for 12 species. The genus occurs primarily in neotropical cloud forests, with the greatest diversity in the Andes. Ascogrammitis is one of two monophyletic groups of grammitid ferns that are consistently associated with Acrospermum, an epibiotic bitunicate ascomycete that produces black clavate fruiting bodies.  相似文献

Background and aim1−42 is an amyloidogenic peptide found within senile plaques extracted from those who died with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. The potent neurotoxicity of this peptide is related to its propensity to form aggregated conformations in vivo, a process that is influenced by the species and concentration of metal ions present within the local environment. This study examines the impact of different metals upon the early aggregatory behaviour and size of Aβ1−42 under simulated physiological conditions.MethodsThe size and aggregatory behaviour of Aβ1−42 in the presence and absence of metal ions was monitored during the initial 30 min of fibril formation in real-time using dynamic light scattering.ResultsIntensity scattering measurements showed a clear tendency towards aggregation with regards to Aβ1−42 only solutions (10 μM). Both equimolar Al3+ & Cu2+ lowered and stabilised the dimensions of Aβ1−42 aggregates; however, a diminutive but significant increase in size was still observed over a 30-min period. While excess Al3+ continued to supress the size of Aβ1−42, a 10-fold increase in the concentration of Cu2+ accelerated peptide aggregation relative to that observed for equimolar metal but not compared to Aβ1−42 alone.ConclusionThese results infer that Al3+ ions stabilise and aid in the maintenance of smaller, toxic intermediates while excess Cu2+ facilitates the formation of larger, more inert, amorphous species exceeding 1 μm in size. Furthermore, we propose that metal-induced toxicity of Aβ1−42 is reflective of their ability to preserve smaller oligomeric species in vitro.  相似文献

A mutagenic fraction was separated by gas chromatography (gc) from the gaseous phase of protein pyrolyzate and a compound in the fraction was identified as hydrogen cyanide (hcn). Authentic hcn shows mutagenicity. It is proposed that most of the mutagenic activity in the gaseous phase of protein pyrolyzate is due to hcn.  相似文献

Background: A key current issue in studies of global CO2 is the cause of the recent pronounced changes in the timing (phase) and amplitude of its annual cycle.

Aim: To use a sensitivity analysis in order to identify the most influential parameters in a new four-box diffusion model of global CO2 transport.

Methods: A new diffusion model of global atmospheric transport is developed, implemented by optimisation and used to assess the effects of oceanic, terrestrial and anthropogenic CO2 fluxes on the annual CO2 cycle. As the terrestrial phenology of living organisms in the temperate zones is identified as the central process of concern an improved phenological model for the temperate zones is proposed and used in up-scaling from plant to planet.

Results: The diffusion model is found to be able to mimic many of the features observed by the GLOBALVIEW-CO2 network, including the global trend, latitudinal gradient, and annual waveform.

Conclusions: It is concluded that, out of five rival hypotheses considered at the outset, the springtime phenology of terrestrial biomes is the dominant controller of recent changes to the annual CO2 cycle.  相似文献

The names of all 135 species-group taxa of Cerambycidae described by N. N. Plavilstshikov are listed. Types of all these taxa preserved in the Zoological Museum of the Moscow State University and in the Zoological Institute (St. Petersburg) are catalogued, with lectotypes and paralectotypes designated. New synonymies are proposed: Pseudosieversia rufa (Kraatz, 1879) = Macrorhabdium ruficollis Plavilstshikov, 1915, syn. n.; Pseudo sieversia Pic, 1902 = Macrorhabdium Plavilstshikov, 1915, syn. n.; Agapanthia angelicae Reitter, 1898 = A. jacobsoni Plavilstshikov, 1915, syn. n. Dorcadion arietinum phenax Jakovlev, 1900, stat. n. is a valid name of the taxon known before as D. arietinum strandi Plav. Alosterna tabacicolor subsp. tokatensis Pic, 1901 (= A. t. caucasica Plavilstshikov, 1936, syn. n.) is regarded as a valid name (nomen protectum), and A. chrysomeloides var. subvittata Reitter, 1885 is regarded a nomen oblitum, as well as Cortodera umbripennis var. pallidipes Pic, 1898, while C. ruthena Plavilstshikov, 1936 is nomen protectum. Vadonia bipunctata puchneri Holzschuh, 2007, stat. n. is widely distributed in southern Ukraine and southern Russia from Dnepropetrovsk to Rostov-on-Don, and in the North Caucasus; specimens of this subspecies, as also specimens of V. saucia (Mulsant et Godart, 1855), stat. rest., known from the southern Crimea, constitute a part of the type series of V. bipunctata mulsantiana (Plavilstshikov, 1936).  相似文献

A taxonomic revision of the genus Aneorhachis Kleine 1923 (Coleoptera: Brentidae) and a phylogenetic analysis of species belonging to this genus are carried out. The genus Ipsopisthius Kabakov 2001 is synonymised with Aneorhachis, and two new combinations are proposed: Aneorhachis hirta (Kabakov 2001), n. comb. and A. incerta (Kleine 1935), n. comb. Higonius nitens Goossens 2008 is synonymized with A. incerta. One new species is described from New Guinea, A. papuana n. sp. All the species are redescribed and type-specimens are illustrated; an identification key is proposed. A maximum parsimony analysis is provided on the base of 23 characters from adult morphology. This analysis confirms the monophyly of the genus and seems to show that Aneorhachis originated on continental Asia and then spread out eastward to colonize Pacific islands.  相似文献

The reaction force F(R) and the position-dependent reaction force constant κF(R) are defined by F(R)=-∂V(R)/∂R and κ(R)=∂2V(R)/∂R2, where V(R) is the potential energy of a reacting system along a coordinate R. The minima and maxima of F(R) provide a natural division of the process into several regions. Those in which F(R) is increasing are where the most dramatic changes in electronic properties take place, and where the system goes from activated reactants (at the force minimum) to activated products (at the force maximum). κ(R) is negative throughout such a region. We summarize evidence supporting the idea that a reaction should be viewed as going through a transition region rather than through a single point transition state. A similar conclusion has come out of transition state spectroscopy. We describe this region as a chemically-active, or electronically-intensive, stage of the reaction, while the ones that precede and follow it are structurally-intensive. Finally, we briefly address the time dependence of the reaction force and the reaction force constant.  相似文献

Three new species of the genus Aeschnosoma are briefly described and illustrated. A. pseudoforcipula n. sp. and A. heliophila n. sp., both from the Brazilian Central Plateau are respectively related to the two Amazonian species A. forcipula Hagen in Selys 1871, and A. auripennis Geijskes 1970. A. louissiriusi n. sp. from Northern Brazil is not closely related to any known species. Based on larval and adult derived characters, the genus Aeschnosoma appears closely related to the Australian genus Pentathemis Karsch 1890, and also to the Madagascan genus Libellulosoma Martin 1907. The clade Aeschnosomata nov. is erected to receive the three genera. Some putative plesiomorphies would place this clade sister group of the remaining Corduliidae s.str.  相似文献

目的 通过对某省老年人口卫生服务需求、利用、就医流向及费用负担等卫生服务指标进行测算,了解现行医保制度的实施效果。方法 通过抽取某省第五次卫生服务调查的老年人群数据,对社会人口学特征、卫生服务需求与利用、医疗卫生费用负担及住院流向等指标进行测算与分析。结果 不同医保制度下,老年人口卫生服务需求与利用存在差异性,且在住院就医服务的选择上尚未形成合理格局,卫生费用负担较重。结论 某省现行医保制度对老年人口的经济保护力度仍有待提高,应调整医保制度卫生福利包的覆盖范围并提高补偿水平,通过政策倾斜构建合理就医格局,进而减轻老年人口的疾病经济负担。  相似文献

BackgroundAPOBEC3F (A3F), a member of the human APOBEC3 (A3) family of cytidine deaminases, acts as an anti-HIV-1 factor by deaminating deoxycytidine in the complementary DNA of the viral genome. A full understanding of the deamination behavior of A3F awaits further investigation.MethodsThe real-time NMR method and uracil-DNA glycosylase assay were used to track the activities of the C-terminal domain (CTD) of A3F at different concentrations of A3F-CTD and ssDNA. The steady-state fluorescence anisotropy measurement was used to examine the binding between A3F-CTD and ssDNA with different lengths. The use of the A3F-CTD N214H mutant, having higher activity than the wild-type, facilitated the tracking of the reactions.ResultsA3F-CTD was found to efficiently deaminate the target deoxycytidine in long ssDNA in lower ssDNA concentration conditions ([A3F-CTD] ≫ [ssDNA]), while the target deoxycytidine in short ssDNA is deaminated efficiently in higher ssDNA concentration conditions ([A3F-CTD] ≪ [ssDNA]). This property is quite different from that of the previously studied A3 family member, A3B; the concentrations of the proteins and ssDNA had no effect.ConclusionsThe concentrations of A3F-CTD and ssDNA substrates affect the ssDNA-length-dependence of deamination rate of the A3F-CTD. This unique property of A3F is rationally interpreted on the basis of its binding characteristics with ssDNA.General significanceThe discovery of the unique property of A3F regarding the deamination rate deepens the understanding of its counteraction against HIV-1. Our strategy is applicable to investigate the other aspects of the A3 activities, such as those involved in the cancer development.  相似文献
