Abstract

Site 48SH312 is part of an Early Middle Period complex in which at least part of the economy was oriented toward small-scale trapping of bison, utilizing the natural badland topography of the Powder River Basin. A small cave in northeastern Wyoming yielded a number of bone fragments and artifacts representing an intermittent cultural deposition since the Early Period. A radiocarbon age of 6975 ± 275 years was obtained for one of the oldest components in the site.  相似文献

Abstract

During the summer of 1959, the writer investigated several rock shelters at the mouth of the Wind River Canyon, about 3 miles south of Thermopolis, Wyoming. One of the rock shelters proved to be of archaeological value. A test trench revealed nearly 3 feet of stratified cultural deposits. The cultural materials fits well in the sequence for the Northwestern Plains, (Mulloy 1958: 204-223) and should be important in an area little known archaeologically.  相似文献

Abstract

This fissure burial in the southern mountains contained four adults and one child. Its age is estimated to be between 100 and 300 years, and the anthropometric evidence is consistent with a Shoshonean affiliation. Though considerably disturbed prior to investigation, the site yielded important information about the burial mode and artifacts of a fairly recent people.  相似文献

Abstract

During the summer of 1964, the University of Wyoming and the Wyoming Archaeological Society conducted exploratory excavations in two sites near Buffalo, Wyoming. Site 48J03ll consists of a number of stone circles and is apparently a camp site and site 48J0312 is a bison kill and butchering site. Artifact assemblages suggest an affiliation with late prehistoric and early historic sites in the Yellowstone River drainage.  相似文献

This famous site was investigated by the Wyoming Archaeological Society in August, 1958. An earliest date of 1760 A.D. was established by dendrochronological methods for the construction. Abstract

Daugherty Cave is a double component site in the Big Horn Basin of northern Wyoming. The earlier level is representative of a widespread Late Middle Prehistoric Period occupation. The surface material is believed to represent the Late Prehistoric Period, Crow Indian occupation of the area. The site produced considerable amounts of perishable material.  相似文献

根据GenBank已发表的pEGFP-C1序列,设计并合成两对引物,PCR扩增出两端各含一loxP位点的GFP表达盒GFP-loxP。克隆于转移载体pSKLR获得pSKLR-GFP-loxP。基于同源重组原理, pSKLR-GFP-loxP与 PRV SH株基因组DNA共转染293T细胞,在BrdU 的筛选压力下,利用蚀斑法在TK-143细胞上筛选出表达GFP的TK基因缺失的重组毒株rPRV1。将表达Cre酶的质粒载体pPOG231与rPRV1基因组DNA共转染293T细胞,在Cre酶的作用下去除GFP表达盒以及一个loxP位点,筛选得到含单个loxP位点的重组病毒株rPRV2。PCR 扩增证实所获得的重组病毒TK缺失270bp,只有一个34bp的loxP位点,并且能在RK-13细胞上稳定传代。LD50试验表明rPrV2的毒力下降。  相似文献

Summary Some physico-chemical properties of the DNAs released from the actinophages SH3, SH10, SH11, and SH12 are described. The four phage DNAs have a linear double-stranded secondary structure and are unique with respect to their high G·C contents which, from melting studies and buoyant density experiments, were found to be in the range of 68–73 mol-%. The DNA molecular weights were determined by sedimentation velocity experiments and by electron microscopic length measurements, the mean values of the two corresponding data sets being 34.0·106 (SH3), 26.7·106 (SH10), 26.1·106 (SH11), and 28.7·106 (SH12) with a mean relative error of ±5%. From different observations it was concluded that SH10 DNA, and possibly also SH11 and SH12 DNA, have cohesive ends and can undergo intramolecular or intermolecular association to form ring-like monomers or linear and ring-like multimers. Cleavage of the DNAs of SH3, SH10, SH11, and SH12 by EcoRI restriction endonuclease delivered two, one, zero, and two cleavage sites, respectively, and by BamHI restriction endonuclease eight, zero, zero, and zero cleavage sites, respectively.  相似文献

Using 26 restriction endonucleases, a cleavage site survey was undertaken for DNAs of several unrelated Streptomyces phages SH3, SH5, SH10 and SH13. Only EcoRI was found to produce single cleavage in SH3 and SH10 DNA. The complete maps were prepared for the 2, 9 and 11 fragments of SH10 DNA, as generated by EcoRI, KpnI and BglII, respectively. The evidence is presented that SH10 DNA contains cohesive ends. Moreover, a clearplaque mutant of SH10 was shown to contain a deletion of 790 bp in the right part of the genome, including two KpnI sites.  相似文献
