The memory effect (the dependence of the dynamic breakdown voltage U b on the time interval τ between voltage pulses) in pulse-periodic discharges in pure argon and the Ar + 1%N2 mixture was studied experimentally. The discharge was ignited in a 2.8-cm-diameter tube with an interelectrode distance of 75 cm. The measurements were performed at gas pressures of P = 1, 2, and 5 Torr and discharge currents in a steady stage of the discharge of I = 20 and 56 mA. Breakdown was produced by applying positive-polarity voltage pulses, the time interval between pulses being in the range of τ = 0.5–40 ms. In this range of τ values, a local maximum (the anomalous memory effect) was observed in the dependence U b (τ). It is shown that addition of nitrogen to argon substantially narrows the range of τ values at which this effect takes place. To analyze the measurement results, the plasma parameters in a steady-state discharge (in both pure argon and the Ar + 1%N2 mixture) and its afterglow were calculated for the given experimental conditions. Analysis of the experimental data shows that the influence of the nitrogen admixture on the shape of the dependence U b (τ) is, to a large extent, caused by the change in the decay rate of the argon afterglow plasma in the presence of a nitrogen admixture.  相似文献

为探明种植翻压山黧豆绿肥与减施氮肥下的水稻生产潜力,通过3年田间定位试验,设置冬闲+不施肥(NF)、山黧豆绿肥(GM)、冬闲+常规氮肥(100%N,CK)、山黧豆绿肥+80%常规氮肥(GM+80%N)、山黧豆绿肥+70%常规氮肥(GM+70%N)、山黧豆绿肥+60%常规氮肥(GM+60%N)6个处理,研究不同处理对水稻生长、养分吸收及产量的影响。结果表明:(1)与CK相比,翻压山黧豆绿肥并减施氮肥处理均能够显著提升水稻株高、增加水稻分蘖数、提高水稻干物质积累量,其中以GM+70%N施肥处理提升效果最为明显。(2)GM+70%N施肥处理下,不同生育时期水稻株高、有效分蘖数分别较对照常规施肥(100%N)提升了13.32%~ 15.73%和33.98%~59.47%,水稻干物质积累量提高了23.19%~144.18%,且随着生育时期的推进增加速率依次降低。(3)种植翻压山黧豆绿肥并减施氮肥处理下水稻产量均有所提高,其中GM+70%N和GM+80%N处理显著提高,增产分别达13.84%,7.25%,且GM+70%N处理下水稻植株和籽粒养分吸收更为全面。研究发现,种植翻压山黧豆并适量减施氮肥能有效促进水稻生长和养分的吸收积累,显著提高水稻产量,说明翻压山黧豆绿肥可替代稻田30%~40%的氮肥施入量,并可在避免水稻旺长的同时实现水稻高产,是四川水稻种植较好的耕作措施。  相似文献

对25keV的氩离子束辐照两种嘧啶碱基(胞嘧啶,胞腺嘧啶)引起它们分子结构的变化进行了研究,通过紫外光谱的分析,得到了氩离子注入后两种嘧啶碱基的残余紫外吸收曲线;富里叶红外光谱仪的分析,说明两种嘧啶碱基各受到了一定程度的损伤使得红外吸收出现不同程度的减弱;茚三酮反应的测定证明了辐照后的样品中出现了新的化学成分-伯胺类物质。  相似文献

Potency of isoflurane and nitrous oxide in conventional swine   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The minimum alveolar concentration (MAC) of isoflurane in oxygen (O2) was determined to be 1.55 +/- 0.08 (SEM) volumes % in twelve pigs (Sus scrofa). Values for isoflurane MAC in the presence of 50% (I-50%N2O) and 66% (I-66%N2O) nitrous oxide were determined in nine and six of these same animals, respectively, and equalled 1.03 +/- 0.05 vol % for I-50%N2O and 0.95 +/- 0.07 vol % for I-66%N2O. Animals respired spontaneously and arterial blood pressure (AP), heart rate (HR), rectal body temperature, and arterial blood gases (PO2, PCO2, and pH) were recorded throughout the study period. These parameters were within normal limits near MAC for all three gas combinations. The MAC for isoflurane in swine was similar to that for other animals and, man and the use of this agent was associated with rapid and uneventful anesthetic induction and recovery. The addition of 50% and 66% nitrous oxide (N2O) reduced the isoflurane MAC by 30% and 42%, respectively.  相似文献

利用 30Kev的N+ 、Ar+ 离子辐照离体质粒DNA ,分析了不同离子对DNA单双链断裂及转化活性的影响。结果表明 :N+ 、Ar+ 离子辐照均可引起质粒DNA单双链断裂和转化活性的变化 ,且随着辐照剂量的增加 ,单双链断裂频率增加 ,转化活性下降。Ar+对离体质粒DNA比N+ 具有更强的单双链断裂效应 ,且从 9× 10 15Ar+ cm2 剂量开始 ,质粒可完全丧失转化活性。质粒转化活性的大小与DNA单双链断裂频率呈正相关  相似文献

The analytical method described in the preceding article was applied to spectrophotometric Ca2+-titrations of the metallochromic indicator arsenazo III (Ar). At various reactant concentrations it was determined that Ar forms 1:1,1:2 and 2 : 1 complexes with calcium. The equilibrium constants and extinction coefficients at 602 nm were determined. Corrected to zero ionic strength at 293 K and pH 7.0, the reactions Ca + Ar = CaAr, CaAr + Ar = CaAr2 and CaAr + Ca = Ca2Ar are associated with dissociation equilibrium constants k(11) = 1.6 x 10(-6)M, K12 = 3.2 x 10(-4)M and K21 = 5.8 x 10(-3)M. respectively. The extinction coefficient of unbound indicator is (602) = 9.6 (+/-0.3) x 10(3) cm(-1) M(-1). Arscnazo III complexes with monovalent ions like Na+ and K+ : at zero ionic strength, the dissociation constant of the Na+-Ar complex is about 0.1 M.  相似文献

Weakly polar interactions between aromatic rings of amino acids and hydrogens of backbone amides (Ar-HN) have been shown to support local structures in proteins. Their role in secondary structures, however, has not been elucidated. To investigate the relationship between Ar-HN interaction and the stability of local and secondary structures of polypeptides and to improve the prediction of this interaction based on amino acid sequence, the structures of 560 nonhomologous proteins, from the Protein Data Bank, were searched for Ar-HN interactions between the aromatic ring of each Phe, Tyr, and Trp residue at position i and the backbone amide group of any residue, except Pro, at the positions i, i - 1, i - 2, i - 3, i + 1, i + 2, and i + 3. Ar-HN interactions were identified by calculating the chemical shift of the amide hydrogen caused by the proximal aromatic ring. Ar(i)-HN(i + 1, i + 2 and i + 3) interactions were more common (7.10%, 2.08%, and 0.54%, respectively) than were Ar(i)-HN(i - 1, i - 2, and i - 3) interactions (0.66%, <0.1%, and 0.18%, respectively). The value of the chi(1) torsion angle of the aromatic residue in position i depended on the direction of the Ar-HN interaction. The position of the aromatic ring in Ar(i)-HN(i + 1, i + 2, and i + 3) interactions was mostly trans, in Ar(i)-HN(i - 1, i - 2, and i - 3) interactions mainly gauche(-), and in Ar(i)-HN(i) interactions mostly gauche(+). The analyses of the secondary structures of the protein fragments containing Ar-HN interactions showed that Ar-HN interactions were in all types of secondary structures. Search results suggest that Ar-HN interactions have a stabilizing effect on all types of secondary structures.  相似文献

Vegetation albedo is a critical component of the Earth's climate system, yet efforts to evaluate and improve albedo parameterizations in climate models have lagged relative to other aspects of model development. Here, we calculated growing season albedos for deciduous and evergreen forests, crops, and grasslands based on over 40 site‐years of data from the AmeriFlux network and compared them with estimates presently used in the land surface formulations of a variety of climate models. Generally, the albedo estimates used in land surface models agreed well with this data compilation. However, a variety of models using fixed seasonal estimates of albedo overestimated the growing season albedo of northerly evergreen trees. In contrast, climate models that rely on a common two‐stream albedo submodel provided accurate predictions of boreal needle‐leaf evergreen albedo but overestimated grassland albedos. Inverse analysis showed that parameters of the two‐stream model were highly correlated. Consistent with recent observations based on remotely sensed albedo, the AmeriFlux dataset demonstrated a tight linear relationship between canopy albedo and foliage nitrogen concentration (for forest vegetation: albedo=0.01+0.071%N, r2=0.91; forests, grassland, and maize: albedo=0.02+0.067%N, r2=0.80). However, this relationship saturated at the higher nitrogen concentrations displayed by soybean foliage. We developed similar relationships between a foliar parameter used in the two‐stream albedo model and foliage nitrogen concentration. These nitrogen‐based relationships can serve as the basis for a new approach to land surface albedo modeling that simplifies albedo estimation while providing a link to other important ecosystem processes.  相似文献

Positive relationships between species richness and ecosystem processes such as productivity or nitrogen cycling can be the result of a number of mechanisms. We examined how species richness, biomass, and legume presence, diversity, and abundance explained nitrogen dynamics in experimental grassland plots in northern Sweden. Nitrogen concentrations and '15N values were measured in plants grown in 28 mixtures (58 plots) including 1, 2, 4, 8 or 12 local grassland species over four years. Values for '15N declined over time for all three functional groups (grasses, legumes, and non-leguminous forbs), suggesting greater reliance on N fixed by legumes over time by all species. Above ground percent nitrogen (%N) also declined over time but root %N and total N did not. Path analysis of above ground data suggested that two main factors affected %N and the size of the N pool. First, higher plant diversity (species richness) increased total N through increased biomass in the plot. Although in the first two years of the experiment this was the result of a greater probability of inclusion of at least one legume, in the last two years diversity had a significant effect on biomass beyond this effect. Second, percent legumes planted in the plots had a strong effect on above ground %N and '15N, but a much smaller effect on above ground biomass. In contrast, greater plant diversity affected N in roots both by increasing biomass and by decreasing %N (after controlling for effects mediated by root biomass and legume biomass). Increased legume biomass resulted in higher %N and lower '15N for both non-legume forbs and grasses in the first year, but only for grasses in the third year. We conclude that a sampling effect (greater probability of including a legume) contributed towards greater biomass and total N in high-diversity communities early on in the experiment, but that over time this effect weakened and other positive effects of diversity became more important.  相似文献

对3个品种(GT1、RRIM600、PR107)巴西橡胶(Hevea brasiliensis)实生苗进行不同N素(0%N,50%N,100%N)处理,分析比较叶片SPAD值、N素营养和农艺性状的变化及其关系。结果表明:(1)缺N胁迫明显降低了叶片SPAD值、叶片N含量和硝酸还原酶活性,缩小了叶蓬距、叶面积,且影响幅度随胁迫强度的加大而增大;(2)不同品种橡胶树实生苗对缺N胁迫的响应程度不同,总体上GT1较为敏感,PR107次之,RRIM600较不敏感;(3)橡胶树实生苗叶片SPAD值、叶蓬距、叶面积与叶片N含量、硝酸还原酶活性之间均呈显著或极显著正相关。因此,有可能采用测定叶片SPAD值、叶蓬距和叶面积等简易方法判断橡胶树新生叶蓬的N素营养状况。  相似文献

O2-inactivation of pyruvate:NADP+ oxidoreductase from mitochondria of Euglena gracilis was studied in vitro, and a mechanism which consists of two sequential stages was proposed. Initially, the enzyme is inactivated by the direct action of O2 in a process obeying second-order kinetics. Although the catalytic activity for pyruvate oxidation is lost by this initial inactivation, NADPH oxidation with artificial electron acceptors still occurs. Subsequently, a secondary, O2-independent inactivation occurs, rendering the enzyme completely inactive. Pyruvate stimulates the O2-inactivation while CoA and NADP+ protect the enzyme from O2. The O2-inactivation is accelerated by reduction of the enzyme with pyruvate and CoA. Reactivation of the O2-inactivated enzyme was studied in Ar by incubation with Fe2+ in the presence of some other reducing reagent such as dithiothreitol. The evidence obtained indicates that the partially inactivated enzyme, which retains catalytic activity for NADPH oxidation, can be reactivated, but the completely inactivated enzyme is not. When Euglena cells were exposed to 100% O2 the enzyme in the cells was inactivated by O2, but the rate was quite slow compared with that observed in vitro. The enzyme inactivated by O2 in the cells was almost completely reactivated in vitro by incubation with Fe2+ and other reducing reagents in Ar, suggesting that the secondary, O2-independent inactivation does not occur in situ. When the cells were returned to air, reactivation of the O2-inactivated enzyme in the cells began immediately. The enzyme, kept in isolated, intact mitochondria, was stable in air; however, the enzyme was inactivated by O2 when the mitochondria were incubated with a high concentration of pyruvate.  相似文献

Increased gravity impairs pulmonary distributions of ventilation and perfusion. We sought to develop a method for rapid, simultaneous, and noninvasive assessments of ventilation and perfusion distributions during a short-duration hypergravity exposure. Nine sitting subjects were exposed to one, two, and three times normal gravity (1, 2, and 3 G) in the head-to-feet direction and performed a rebreathing and a single-breath washout maneuver with a gas mixture containing C(2)H(2), O(2), and Ar. Expirograms were analyzed for cardiogenic oscillations (COS) and for phase IV amplitude to analyze inhomogeneities in ventilation (Ar) and perfusion [CO(2)-to-Ar ratio (CO(2)/Ar)] distribution, respectively. COS were normalized for changes in stroke volume. COS for Ar increased from 1-G control to 128 +/- 6% (mean +/- SE) at 2 G (P = 0.02 for 1 vs. 2 G) and 165 +/- 13% at 3 G (P = 0.002 for 2 vs. 3 G). Corresponding values for CO(2)/Ar were 135 +/- 12% (P = 0.04) and 146 +/- 13%. Phase IV amplitude for Ar increased to 193 +/- 39% (P = 0.008) at 2 G and 229 +/- 51% at 3 G compared with 1 G. Corresponding values for CO(2)/Ar were 188 +/- 29% (P = 0.02) and 219 +/- 18%. We conclude that not only large-scale ventilation and perfusion inhomogeneities, as reflected by phase IV amplitude, but also smaller-scale inhomogeneities, as reflected by the ratio of COS to stroke volume, increase with hypergravity. Except for small-scale ventilation distribution, most of the impairments observed at 3 G had been attained at 2 G. For some of the parameters and gravity levels, previous comparable data support the present simplified method.  相似文献

A simple three equation model is proposed for the feedback regulation of nitrate uptake and N2 fixation, based on the concentration of the organic N substrate pool within the plant and two parameters denoting the N substrate concentrations at which half-maximal inhibition occurs. This model simulated three contrasting phenotypes of white clover (Trifolium repens L.) inbred lines with (1) normal rates of nitrate uptake and N2 fixation (NNU); (2) low rates of nitrate uptake (LNU); and (3) very low rates of N2 fixation (VLF). The LNU phenotype was simulated by a decrease in the value of the inhibition parameter for nitrate uptake and the VLF phenotype was simulated by a decrease in the value of the N2 fixation inhibition parameter. The model was tested against nitrate uptake data obtained from white clover plants growing in flowing nutrient culture. There was an accurate prediction of the increase in nitrate uptake caused by N2 fixation activity of the NNU and LNU inbred lines being interrupted by a switch in gas phase from air to Ar : O2. The model was also tested against data for nitrate uptake, N2 fixation and %N from fixation for the three inbred clover lines grown in flowing nutrient culture at 0, 5 or 20 mmol m(-3) N(3-). Again there was accurate prediction of nitrate uptake, although simulated values for N2 fixation were more variable. The simple model has potential use as a sub-routine in larger models of legume growth under field conditions.  相似文献

Ninety eight white clover genotypes were cloned and grown in pots at two levels of phosphorus (P) supply in soil. After harvest the nitrogen (N) and P content of shoot (leaf, petiole and unrooted stolon), stolon and root tissue was determined. Broad sense heritabilities for %N, %P, and proportion of total N or P in each tissue type were calculated. Heritabilities ranged from 0.22 to 0.68. They were generally higher for %P than %N; and higher in shoot and stolon tissue than root tissue for %P, %N, and proportion of N or P. Level of P in which plants were grown had little effect on heritability values. Genotypes from bred cultivars differed from those collected from hill country pastures for plant size, and partitioning of N and P to shoot, stolon and root. Relationships between plant characters were examined to determine the consequences of selection.  相似文献

Bacteriophage lambda was bombarded with low-energy Ar+ ions with the goal of determining whether particular regions of the DNA genome are found preferentially in the outer portion of the packaged DNA mass. The strategy was to fragment the DNA selectively near the surface of the virus by exposing intact phage to Ar+ ions energetic enough to break covalent chemical bonds in DNA but not energetic enough to penetrate deeply beneath the viral capsid shell. Broken DNA was then isolated, and its genomic origin was identified by Southern hybridization to mapped restriction fragments of lambda DNA. Analysis of such Southern blots revealed that all regions of the lambda genome were represented among the small DNA fragments generated during all times of Ar+ bombardment examined. Depending on the duration of exposure, however, particular regions of the genome were found to be enriched in the small-fragment population. After short periods of exposure, sequences from the leftmost 10% and from the right half of the standard genetic map were enriched in the broken-DNA fraction. Among sequences in the right half of the genome, the enrichment was progressively more pronounced beginning in the middle of the genetic map and proceeding toward the right end. In phage bombarded for longer periods of time, rightward sequences were preferentially depleted in the small-fragment population. In contrast, when Ar+ bombardment was carried out with free lambda DNA rather than intact phage, small DNA fragments arose uniformly from all regions of the genome at all times of exposure examined. The results indicate that in the intact phage, DNA sequences from the right half and from the very leftmost regions of the genome have a tendency to lie closer to the capsid than does the remainder of the genome. Since DNA is packaged into the prohead beginning at the left end, our results suggest that packaging occurs in such a way that newly entering DNA tends to be disposed externally to that packaged at earlier times.  相似文献

Results are presented from theoretical and experimental studies of an optical radiation source based on a microwave discharge excited in an Ar + Hg mixture. The main attention is paid to the so-called “resonance” discharge operating at low pressures of the working gas (argon). It is shown that a decrease in the Ar pressure leads to significant increase in the Hg radiation intensity (including biologically active UV radiation) and considerable decrease in the intensity of argon emission lines. The intensity of discharge radiation is calculated in the framework of the collisional-radiative model. The results of calculation agree qualitatively with experimental data.  相似文献

Metabolically active heterocysts were isolated from a mutant of Anabaena sp. strain CA with fragile vegetative cells. Heterocysts isolated from cultures grown in 1% CO2 in air reduced C2H2 at 57 and 10 nmol of C2H2 per mg (dry weight) per min under H2 and Ar, respectively. However, if whole filaments were sparged with 1% CO2 in 99% Ar for 12 h before heterocyst isolation, these heterocysts showed C2H2 reduction rates of 83 nmol of C2H4 per mg (dry weight) per min under either H2 or Ar, or 40% the activity of whole filaments grown in 1% CO2 in air. Heterocysts isolated from cultures sparged with 100% Ar or 1% CO2 in 99% N2 had the same C2H2 reduction pattern as heterocysts from cultures grown in 1% CO2 in air, i.e., low activity under Ar and high activity under H2. Labeling of whole filaments incubated with NaH14CO3 for 12 h under 1% CO2 in air or 1% CO2 in 99% Ar resulted in a twofold higher accumulation of 14C-labeled compounds in vegetative cells and heterocysts of Ar-incubated cells. Our results suggest that during incubation under 1% CO2 in 99% Ar, presumably a nitrogen starvation condition, continuing photosynthetic fixation of CO2 leads to accumulation of material(s) in the heterocysts that supports a high, persistent endogenous rate of C2H2 reduction. This material appears to be, in part, glycogen.  相似文献

用He—Ne、Ar~+和CO_23种激光分别辐照小麦浙麦3号干种子,以不处理为对照(CK),在三叶期分别提取酯酶,应用等电聚焦聚丙烯酰胺疑胶(SDS—PAGE)电泳分析其酯酶同工酶,电泳模式表明,He—Ne激光、Ar~+激光处理后出现的酶谱同对照一样,主要集中在Ⅲ区,并有4条相同酶带(Rf=0.88、0.78、0.75和0.71),而CO_2激光处理则出现了16条酶带,其中8条分布在Ⅲ区,6条分布在Ⅱ区,2条分布在Ⅰ区。电泳分析表明,不同激光的诱变效应为:CO_2>He—Ne>Ar~+>CK。  相似文献
