To elucidate age-related changes of mineral contents in human veins, the relative contents (RCs) of elements in the human internal jugular veins, superior and inferior venae cavae, and femoral veins from 27 subjects ranging from 40 to 98 yr old were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. The average RCs of calcium in the 27 specimens were the highest in the internal jugular vein, followed in descending order by the superior vena cava, femoral vein, and inferior vena cava. The RCs of calcium and phosphorus in the internal jugular veins started to increase after the age of 50 yr, became the highest in subjects in their 60s and thereafter decreased gradually. It is noted that such accumulations of minerals, similar to the internal jugular vein, were also found in the veins, such as the superior and inferior venae cavae, and femoral vein. Accumulation of minerals in the veins is different from that of arteries, which increase progressively by aging, but do not decrease.  相似文献

To elucidate compositional changes of the veins with aging, the authors investigated the relationships among element contents in the internal jugular veins, in which a higher accumulation of calcium and phosphorus occurred with aging. The subjects consisted of 15 men and 10 women, ranging in age from 40 to 98 yr. The element contents of the internal jugular veins were determined by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry. It was found that there were extremely significant direct correlations among the contents of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and sodium in the internal jugular vein. In addition, very significant direct correlations were also found both between zinc and either iron or silicon contents and between sulfur and iron contents in the vein. As calcium and phosphorus increased in the internal jugular vein, the mass ratios of Mg/Ca and Mg/P decreased gradually in the vein, whereas the mass ratio of Ca/P hardly decreased. These results indicated that with regard to both the relationships among the contents of calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium and the changes of the mass ratios of Mg/Ca and Mg/P, the internal jugular vein was very similar to the arteries.  相似文献

The author studied the structure of the tissue components of the tunicae of the terminal segment of the sigmoid sinus, particularly at the level of the transition between the sigmoid sinus, the superior bulb of the jugular vein and the first portion of the human internal jugular vein; it was established that the transition between the sigmoid sinus and the first portion of the internal jugular vein occupies the whole extension of the superior bulb of the jugular vein up to the inferior third of the first portion of this vessel. These vascular walls exhibit a structure similar to that of the dura, i.e. the tunica adventitia is formed by fascicles of collagenic fibers which describe discontinuous spirals, more open proximal to the beginning of the first portion of the internal jugular vein. Approximately in the inferior third of the first portion of the internal jugular vein, there appear fascicles of smooth muscle fibers which are arranged similarly to those of the venous walls. The tunica intima of these vascular segments exhibits an endothelium resting on a network of elastic fibers which may play the role of an internal elastic lamina. From the bony border of the jugular foramen there originates a connective system whose fascicles of collagenic and elastic fibers incorporate to the wall of the internal jugular vein after describing a stretch in spiral around the vascular lumen.  相似文献

The occurrence of ischaemic changes, arterial occlusion, and other complications which may follow percutaneous arterial cannulation was assessed in a survey of 155 patients. No patient complained of or had signs of ischaemic damage though signs of arterial occlusion were found in 33 patients (22%). These signs were significantly more common after periods of cannulation greater than six hours (43%) than after less than six hours cannulation (17%). During recovery from occlusion all patients had palpable pulsation over the artery even though blood flow seemed to be absent. By the end of follow-up blood flow had returned in 19 of the 33 occluded arteries.  相似文献

Isolated rings of rabbit jugular vein have been used to test the hypothesis that formation of cAMP within the endothelial cell contributes to relaxations that are attributable to the endothelium-derived hyperpolarizing factor, EDHF. Relaxations induced by acetylcholine under conditions of combined NO synthase and cyclooxygenase blockade were almost abolished by inhibition of adenylate cyclase with the selective P-site agonist 2', 3'-dideoxyadenosine (2',3'-DDA). They were similarly attenuated by the gap junction inhibitors 18alpha-glycyrrhetinic acid (18alpha-GA) and Gap 27 peptide which interrupt direct endothelium-smooth muscle communication without themselves affecting smooth muscle tone. By contrast, stimulation of adenylate cyclase with forskolin promoted gap junction-dependent relaxations, with concentration-relaxation curves to this agent exhibiting an equivalent rightward shift in the presence of 18alpha-GA and following endothelial denudation. The findings suggest that cAMP may cross from the endothelium to smooth muscle via gap junction channels and/or enhance the endothelial hyperpolarization normally associated with agonist stimulation. Both mechanisms may contribute to EDHF/gap junction-dependent relaxations.  相似文献

Summary The autonomic innervation of rat jugular vein was studied using glyoxylic acid fluorescence and acetylcholinesterase histochemical methods. The rat jugular vein is provided with both adrenergic and cholinergic nerve fibers organized in plexuses located at the adventitial-medial border. The existence of these nerve plexuses does not seem to support biochemical findings that suggest a lack of innervation in the rat jugular vein and which propose this blood vessel as a model for the analysis of drug-smooth muscle cell interaction without the interference of neuronal uptake mechanisms.  相似文献

目的比较彩色超声引导与盲探穿刺右侧颈内静脉置管术的并发症情况。方法将我院拟择期(在腹腔镜下)行结直肠肿瘤切除术的患者100例,ASA分级Ⅰ~Ⅲ级,年龄23~81岁,体重32~81kg。采用抛硬币法将患者随机分为彩色超声组(C)和盲探穿刺组(M)各50例。记录两组病人黑色细针试穿中静脉时次数、薄壁蓝空针穿刺中静脉时次数、穿刺点的数目、导管置入失败的次数,并记录病人由于穿刺引起的机械并发症及术后留置导管并发症情况。结果两组患者均未见明显机械并发症,且两组比较无统计学意义;两组无误穿动脉、血气胸及心律失常或心脏损伤的情况。结论彩色超声引导下行右颈内静脉穿刺成功率较盲探穿刺高,盲探穿刺刺破颈内静脉后壁概率较彩色多普勒超声引导下穿刺组高,其余机械并发症及留置中心静脉导管并发症比较无统计学意义。  相似文献

The goal of this study was to assess the duration of pain-related clinical effects and referred hyperalgesia after surgery in rats. Isoflurane anesthesia with or without femoral vein cannulation was performed (n = 6 per group). Body weight and food and water consumption were monitored daily for 48 h, and tail-flick latency was measured twice daily for 24 h after surgery. Water consumption at 24 h after surgery was significantly decreased in the surgical group compared with baseline values and those of the anesthesia group. Body weight change and food consumption showed nonsignificant decreases compared with baseline in both groups 24 h after the procedure. There was a trend toward decreased food consumption after surgery compared with that for the anesthesia-alone group. Tail-flick latency was nonsignificantly decreased the afternoon after surgery compared with baseline values or that after anesthesia alone. Tail-flick latency was similar to baseline and between groups 24 h after surgery. All parameters were similar between groups and compared with baseline by 48 h after surgery. Our results show some changes in postsurgical pain-related parameters only during the initial 24-h period after femoral cannulation surgery, but only the change in water consumption was significant. Although this study involved only a small number of animals, our findings suggest that femoral vein cannulation produces a less painful stimulus than that seen in studies assessing these parameters after abdominal surgery. Hyperalgesia from a distant painful stimulus could not be measured in this model by using the tail-flick assay.  相似文献
