目的:调查研究医院口腔颌面部骨折(OMF)患者的临床特征及治疗效果。方法:选取我院2011年2月至2013年2月期间收治的OMF患者135例作为研究对象。对患者临床特征进行全面分析,并根据患者具体情况制定相应治疗方案,分析对比临床疗效情况。结果:患者男女比例为2.14:1,平均年龄为34.6±4.2岁,其中20~30岁所占比例最高,达42.96%。骨折原因主要为交通事故,占45.19%。骨折类型以单纯型下颌骨骨折最高发,占46.67%。切开复位并行钛板钛钉内固定较单纯接受钛钉颌间牵引内固定,前者临床有效率显著高于后者,差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。结论:OMF高发于男性青壮年,主要骨折原因为交通事故,且以单纯型下颌骨骨折类型居多,临床治疗切开复位并行钛板钛钉内固定疗效显著优于单纯接受钛钉颌间牵引内固定。  相似文献

The proximal colon of the rat is characterized by a 'herring bone' pattern of oblique mucosal folds (OMF) which are arranged in a parallel array. By light and electron microscopy the OMF exhibited rich subepithelial elastic system fibers which bound the epithelial basement membrane and the smooth muscle cells of the lamina propria together. The elastic system fibers usually consist of elastic, elaunin and oxytalan fibers. However, the subepithelial elastic system fibers of the OMF were composed of relatively thin elastic fibers with a few microfibrils, and elaunin and oxytalan fibers which were almost indiscernible. Areas other than the OMF were quite poor in subepithelial elastic system fibers. The interpositions between each of the OMF were composed of typical components: elastic, elaunin and oxytalan fibers. The composition of the subepithelial elastic system fibers of the OMF does not correspond to that of any other organs previously reported. The present study suggests that the OMF of the rat proximal colon might be equipped in such a way to resist to distension or compression.  相似文献

It has been found that the Soviet anticonvulsant drug Benzonal is an inducer of the liver cytochrome P-450 of the phenobarbital type. The drug causes formation of the cytochrome P-450 form which is immunologically identical to the phenobarbital inducible form of the hemoprotein with identical molecular mass determined with the SDS-gel electrophoresis method in PAAG. The microsomes, obtained from the rats treated with Benzonal display increased rates of metabolism of 7-pentoxiresorufin and 16 beta-hydroxylation of androstenedione which are specific substrates for the cytochrome P-450b.  相似文献

The Orchidaceae are globally distributed and represent a diverse lineage of obligate mycotrophic plants. Given their dependence on symbiotic fungi for germination and/or plant development, fungal community structure in substrates is expected to influence the distribution and persistence of orchid species. Yet, simultaneous characterization of orchid mycorrhizal fungal (OMF) communities in roots and in soil is rarely reported. To explain the co-distributions of OMF in roots, orchid-occupied, and bulk soil, we characterized mycorrhizal fungi associated with Platanthera praeclara over multiple years across its entire natural distribution within the North American tallgrass prairie. Root derived OMF communities included 24 Ceratobasidiaceae and 7 Tulasnellaceae operational taxonomic units (OTUs) though the orchid exhibited high spatio-temporal specificity toward a single Ceratobasidiaceae OTU, which was strongly stable across population sizes and phenological stages of the sampled individuals. The preferred OMF OTUs were primarily restricted to orchid-occupied locations while infrequent or absent in bulk soil. Variation in soil OMF assemblies was explained most by soil moisture, magnesium, manganese, and clay. In this first study of coupled root and soil OMF communities across a threatened grassland ecosystem, we report a strong relationship, further nuanced by soil chemistry, between a rare fungus and a rare orchid.  相似文献

The study of the time course of typhoid-paratyphoid infections in the Chimkent region for the period of 1944-1979 has revealed the periodicity of their rises (falls) repeating every 2-4 years. Since 1964 the tendency towards the decrease of morbidity has been observed. The annual rate of this decrease is 4.9%. Periodic changes in the annual level of typhoid-paratyphoid infections do not depend on the temperature of the air and the seasonal number of winged flies. There is a pronounced direct correlation between the annual morbidity level and the frequency of summer precipitations, this correlation being more pronounced during the first 2 summer months.  相似文献

Background and Aims

Many terrestrial orchids have an obligate requirement for mycorrhizal associations to provide nutritional support from germination to establishment. This study will investigate the ability of orchid mycorrhizal fungi (OMF) to utilize a variety of nutrient sources in the nutrient-impoverished (low organic) soils of the Southwest Australian Floristic Region (SWAFR) in order to effectively compete, survive and sustain the orchid host.

Methods

Mycorrhizal fungi representing key OMF genera were isolated from three common and widespread species: Pterostylis recurva, Caladenia flava and Diuris corymbosa, and one rare and restricted species: Drakaea elastica. The accessibility of specific nutrients was assessed by comparing growth including dry biomass of OMF in vitro on basal CN MMN liquid media.

Key Results

Each of the OMF accessed and effectively utilized a wide variety of nutrient compounds, including carbon (C) sources, inorganic and organic nitrogen (N) and inorganic and organic phosphorus (P). The nutrient compounds utilized varied between the genera of OMF, most notably sources of N.

Conclusions

These results suggest that OMF can differentiate between niches (micro-niche specialization) in a constrained, highly resource-limited environment such as the SWAFR. Phosphorus is the most limited macronutrient in SWAFR soils and the ability to access phytate by OMF indicates a characterizing functional capacity of OMF from the SWAFR. Furthermore, compared with OMF isolated from the rare D. elastica, OMF associating with the common P. recurva produced far greater biomass over a wider variety of nutritional sources. This suggests a broader tolerance for habitat variation providing more opportunities for the common orchid for recruitment and establishment at a site.  相似文献

Objectives:  Melanoma cells take advantage of impaired ability to undergo programmed cell death in response to different external stimuli and chemotherapeutic drugs; this makes prevention of tumour progression very difficult. The aim of this study was to demonstrate whether 3- O -methylfunicone (OMF), a metabolite of Penicillium pinophilum , has the ability to arrest cell population growth and to induce apoptosis in A375P (parental) and A375M (metastasis derivatived) melanoma cell lines.
Materials and methods:  Cell proliferation and apoptosis were analysed by flow cytometry, DNA fragmentation, caspase-3 and caspase-9 activation, and PARP-1 cleavage.
Results:  We demonstrated that OMF affected cell proliferation in a time- and dose-dependent manner, reaching the best effect at concentration of 80 µg/ml for 24 h. Flow cytometry revealed that OMF caused significant G2 phase arrest, which was associated with marked decrease in cyclin B1/p34cdc2 complex and p21 induction. OMF also induced marked decrease of survivin expression. Reduced levels of apoptosis were evident after silencing p21 expression in both cell lines. Finally, the effect exercised by OMF on hTERT and TEP-1 gene expression confirmed the ability of this molecule to interfere with replicative ability of cells.
Conclusions:  The results reported here seem to suggest that OMF as a promising molecule to include in strategies for treatment of melanoma.  相似文献

Cysteine, a sulphur-containing amino acid, is required to metabolize ascorbic acid (as ascorbate sulphate) and detoxify cyanide (to thiocyanate). In guinea pigs, conjoint use of laetrile (a cyanogenic glycoside) and ascorbic acid (in large doses) decreases the detoxification of cyanide derived from laetrile through diminishing the availability of cysteine, but not impairing hepatic rhodanese activity, which is involved in the detoxification of cyanide to thiocyanate. These results agree with the symptoms of a sublethal dose of KCN toxicity manifested by the animals. The studies, therefore, indicate that individuals taking megadoses of ascorbic acid concurrently with laetrile may be subject to self-poisoning.  相似文献

Objectives: 3‐O‐methylfunicone (OMF), a secondary metabolite produced by Penicillium pinophilum, affects cell proliferation and motility in a variety of human solid tumours. The aim of this study was to demonstrate whether OMF has the ability to arrest cell division and motility, in a human mesothelioma cell line. Malignant mesothelioma is an aggressive cancer that does not respond to standard therapies the cells of which are considered to be highly resistant to apoptosis. Material and methods: Cell motility and invasion were measured using a modified Boyden chamber. Gene expression was examined by RT‐PCR, while ERK1/2 was investigated by Western blot analysis. All experiments were also performed on primary cultures of mesothelial cells. Results: The present study shows that OMF inhibited motility of the NCI mesothelioma cell line by modulating ERK signalling activity, and affected αVβ5 integrin and MMP‐2 expression, inducing marked downregulation at both mRNA and protein levels. Substantial downregulation of VEGF gene expression was also demonstrated. These effects were not observed in normal mesothelial cell cultures. Conclusion: OMF may have potential as a naturally derived anti‐tumour drug for treatment of mesothelioma.  相似文献

3-O-Methylfunicone (OMF), a secondary metabolite produced by Penicillium pinophilum, inhibits the in vitro growth of plant pathogenic fungi. This specific property suggested that the compound could be used against other fungal pathogenic activities, including dermatological ones. However, for such applications, toxicological side-effects should be taken into account, in order to prevent other types of risk to mammalian cells. Therefore, investigations were made of the basic toxicity of OMF toward a human tumour cell line. The compound was found to have a cytostatic effect, which represents a counter-indication to its use as a therapeutic agent in dermatology, but suggests that it may have potential as an anti-tumour agent. This study confirmed the validity of in vitro systems for preliminary assays on new compounds, in order to avoid the use of animals in toxicological studies.  相似文献

Background  

The evolution of insecticide resistance and persistence of resistance phenotypes are influenced by the fitness of resistance alleles in the absence of insecticide pressure. Experimental determination of fitness is difficult, but fitness can be inferred by measuring changes in allele frequencies in appropriate environments. We conducted allele competition experiments by crossing two highly related strains of Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus mosquitoes. One strain (ISOP450) was permethrin resistant (due to P450-mediated detoxification) and one was a susceptible strain. Allele and genotype frequencies were examined for 12 generations under three environmental conditions: standard laboratory, temephos exposure (an insecticide to which the P450 detoxification mechanism in ISOP450 confers no resistance and which is commonly used in mosquito control programs) and cold temperature stress (mimics the colder temperatures within the habitat of this mosquito).  相似文献

Limnanthes alba Benth. (meadowfoam), a diploid (x=5) winter annual, produces novel very long-chain seed oils (C20 and C22) with less than 2% saturated fatty acids. The first genetic map of meadowfoam, a recently domesticated species, is described herein. Two phenotypically diverse inbred lines, OMF40–11 (L. alba ssp. alba) and OMF64 (L. alba ssp. versicolor), were screened for amplified fragment length polymorphisms (AFLPs) using 16 primer combinations. Twenty three percent of the AFLP bands (415 out of 1,801) were polymorphic between OMF40–11 and OMF64. One hundred (OMF40–11×OMF64)×OMF64 BC1 progeny were genotyped for 107 polymorphic AFLP markers produced by nine AFLP primer combinations. One hundred and three AFLP loci amalgamated into five linkage groups with 14 to 28 loci per linkage group (four loci segregated independently). The map was 698.5-cM long with a mean interlocus spacing of 6.7 cM and no dense clustering of loci. The segregation ratios for 25 loci (23.2%) were significantly distorted. Twenty one of the distorted loci (84%) had an excess of L. alba ssp. versicolor (recurrent parent) alleles. The distorted loci, apart from one locus on linkage group 4, were distally clustered on both ends of linkage groups 1, 4 and 5. The development of the map was facilitated by the small chromosome number, an abundance of restriction site polymorphisms between the two subspecies (23%), and a high multiplex ratio of the AFLP markers (112 per primer combination). Statistical materials of recording the number of patients and of the typhoid-paratyphoid infections morbidity level in Russia and the USSR from 1891 to 1976 was studied. A stable tendency to reduction of this morbidity was noted. In analysing the empirical and flattened--by 3 and 5 points--curves of the number of patients and the morbidity level a regularity of declining morbidity rises was revealed. Elevation periodicity persisted, despite the reduction of morbidity level. The mean duration of the whole cycle constituted 12 years. The period of increasing morbidity from minimal to maximal in each cycle constituted 4 years, and of the declination period--8 years. Formalized empirical series of the number of patients and of the morbidity level deviated from 1908 to 1956 not more than by 1 year from the formalized basic curve. Cyclic changes of typhoid-paratyphoid infections morbidity should be taken into consideration in determining the efficacy of prophylatic measures, particularly of mass vaccination.  相似文献

Mathematico-statistical analysis of typhoid-paratyphoid infection morbidity in the USSR during 1900--1940 revealed a regular many-year cyclic recurrence of the changes in the morbidity level. The intensity of the morbidity level reduction at the periods of decline--in 1900--1917, 1920--1928, and in 1932--1939--was similar. A successive reduction of morbidity of this group of infections, by 6.45% on the average, annually, occurred in 1930--1976. The character of reduction of typhoid-paratyphoid infections morbidity level in the USSR during that period is well described by the exponential function.  相似文献

Flavobacterium psychrophilum is the causative agent of coldwater disease, which is responsible for serious losses in fish aquaculture in several parts of the world. No commercial vaccines are currently available for the prevention of coldwater disease. The present study sought to assess the efficacy of a F. psychrophilum vaccine based on the antigenic outer membrane fraction (OMF). This fraction induced significantly higher protection against coldwater disease in both rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and ayu (Plecoglossus altivelis) compared to inactivated whole cell F. psychrophilum bacterin. Coincident with higher protection, sera of fish immunised with the OMF vaccine had higher agglutination titres than those of fish immunised with inactivated whole cell F. psychrophilum.  相似文献

Objectives: Cancer stem cells make up a subpopulation of cells within tumours that drive tumour initiation, growth and recurrence. They are resistant to many current types of cancer treatment, causing failure of such therapeutic approaches, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In the study described here, anti‐proliferative effects of 3‐O‐methylfunicone (OMF), a metabolite from Penicillium pinophilum, were investigated on human breast cancer MCF‐7 cells and cancer stem cells selected as mammospheres derived from MCF‐7s. Materials and methods: Stemness markers were analysed on isolated mammospheres showing positive expression of CD24, CD29, CD44, CD133, CD184 and CD338. Cell proliferation and apoptosis were analysed by flow cytometry and RT‐PCR. Cell colony formation assays were performed to evaluate colony formation of mammospheres. Results and conclusion: OMF treatment affected both MCF‐7 and mammosphere growth, inducing apoptosis. In addition, OMF strongly reduced stemness markers and survivin, hTERT and Nanog‐1 gene expression. Growth of colonies in soft‐agar was significantly affected by OMF treatment, too. Lastly, we tested ability of MCF‐7 cells to form mammospheres after treatment with OMF or cisplatin, demonstrating that OMF treatment resulted in drastic reduction in number of mammospheres. These results introduce OMF as an effective molecule in suppressing breast cancer stem cells.  相似文献

Mycorrhizal symbiosis in orchids is unique in that fungal presence is considered a requirement for germination as well as for further development. Additionally, orchid fungal associations can exhibit high specificity in nature. Yet, an important ecological question remains unanswered: ‘With which orchid mycorrhizal fungi (OMF) do un-inoculated orchid seedlings form symbiosis when cultured ex situ?’ Simultaneously, it is asserted that orchid conservation efforts involving ex situ plant culture should exclusively utilize natural symbionts of the respective orchid taxa. We present a first comparison of OMF communities within the roots of asymbiotically cultured plants of the rare orchid Platanthera chapmanii grown ex situ (ES), and those occurring naturally in situ (IS). Nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer (nrITS) barcoding region was used to identify peloton forming OMF from roots collected between 2012 and 2014 from both growing environments. Our 114 sequences clustered into 11 operational taxonomic units (OTUs) belonging to four closely related clades of the fungal family Tulasnellaceae. Shannon–Wiener (H) and Simpson diversity (D) indices were similar (p = 0.81 for both) for ES and IS OMF communities. Beta diversity comparisons also showed similarity between ES and IS treatments based on weighted (p = 0.10) and unweighted (p = 0.20) Bray–Curtis dissimilarity matrices. Bayesian and Maximum Likelihood (ML) phylograms clustered ES and IS derived fungal OTUs into the same clades. Our data suggest that P. chapmanii: (1) forms symbiosis with taxonomically similar fungi in ex situ culture and in its native soil, and (2) exhibits a narrow phylogenetic breadth of mycorrhizal fungal OTUs within the Tulasnellaceae.  相似文献

3-O-Methylfunicone (OMF) is a secondary metabolite produced by the soil fungus Penicillium pinophilum which has cytostatic properties. The aim of this study was to investigate the mechanisms by which such properties are exerted, with special reference to any anti-proliferative and apoptotic potential, on HeLa cells. OMF treatment caused about 44% inhibition of cell growth after 24 h, and modifications in the tubulin fibre organization. In addition, a significant increase in p21 mRNA expression and a decrease in cyclin D1 and Cdk4 mRNA expression resulted at the same time. Apoptosis induction was demonstrated by the annexin V assay, cytofluorimetric analysis of the DNA content of the sub-G1 fraction and DNA laddering. Taken together, our data showed that the compound inhibits proliferation of HeLa cells by several mechanisms, such as disruption of tubulin fibres, cell cycle arrest and apoptosis induction. The capacity of the compound to affect the cell cycle and to modulate apoptosis is indicative of a potential for the development of a new agent for cancer chemotherapy.  相似文献
