A selective uptake of ethanol by presenting its 5% solution as the only source of fluid was elaborated in rats for 2 months. It was found that lithium chloride injected intravenously in a dose of 35 mg/kg twice per 24 hours for 14 days depressed the ethanol preference causing a motivation inversion whose mechanism was associated with the changes in the activity of the hypothalamic centres of the neuroendocrine regulation. A possibility of lithium salts in the therapy of chronic alcoholism is discussed.  相似文献

Proliferation of the C cells of the rat thyroid gland under conditions of prolonged hypercalcemia induced with vit. D3 leading sometimes to a formation of adenoma-like nodules was observed. Metaplasia of the follicular epithelium into the C cells observed in the process of nodules formation seems to point out that the C cells and the follicular cells of the thyroid gland arise from a common maternal cell.  相似文献

The investigation of the thyroid gland was carried out in Wistar rats, SPF colony 4.5--13 h and 25 days after a 18.5 days flight on board the space biosatellite "Cosmos-936". In animals subjected to weightlessness, moderate symptoms of the thyroid hypofunction were observed, statistically significant decrease in number and volume of the nuclei in calcitonin-secreting cells (C-cells) was especially pronounced during 4.5--9 h after landing. Similar but less pronounced changes were observed in C-cells of the rats subjected to artificial conditions of space flight, besides weightlessness. The similarity of the changes in the animals of both groups made it possible to connect the increasing amount of C-cells and the morphological symptoms of their functional inhibition with the effect of weightlessness and hypokinesia. During the space flight, the animals were kept under the conditions of artificial gravitation on board the biosatellite and therefore morphological peculiarities specific for the earth conditions were preserved in C-cells and the thyroid gland. Thus, it was concluded that artificial gravitation prevented the development of the thyroid changes which appeared under the influence of weightlessness.  相似文献

Chronic experiments were performed to study the effect of lithium chloride on morphological and functional characteristics of rat thyroid and on the endocrine regulation of calcium metabolism. As a result of a prolonged exposure to low doses of lithium the thyroid manifests the signs of activation of tissue structures. As the lithium dose is raised, the thyrostatic effect of lithium occurs according to the mechanism similar to the Wolff-Chaikoff effect (colloid accumulation by follicles and suppression of hormones secretion into blood). Lithium chloride stimulates calcitonin production by C cells of the thyroid. However, the increase of the basal level of calcitonin has no substantial effect on calcium metabolism in the animals, since such an increase is accompanied by increment of the production of the physiological antagonist parathyroid hormone by the secretory cells of the parathyroid glands.  相似文献

Well developed desmosomes can be seen between the C-cells and follicular cells in the rat thyroid gland. They are structurally similar to the desmosomes at the boundaries of homotypic cells. The present study considers the quantitative variations of the physiologic proteinuria with theophyllin in the rat. The urins are collected, during 8 hours, every Rat being its own reference. The single theophyllin injection (20 mg/kg) induces an increased diuresis (+ 42,1 %) and proteinuria (+ 73,7 %). The repetitive theophyllin injections (during 5 days) confirms this constation. The hypothesis of a modification of the permeability of the glomerular barrier to proteic macromolecules is proposed to agree this result.  相似文献

It was shown on hemithyroidectomized male rats (2--2.5, 8--10 and 14--16--month-old) that with the advance of age there occurred an increase in the inhibitory effect of the same (as per 100 g of body weight) dose of the exogenous thyroxine on the thyroid compensatory hypertrophy. Effects of L-tryptophan on learning and behavior were studied in male rats with a deficit or excess of thyroid hormones. Learning was assessed in active avoidance paradigm, and behavior was estimated in the "open-field" test. It was found that L-tryptophan restored the capability of thyreoidectomized rats for acquisition and reproduction of the active avoidance reaction and increased the exploratory behavior of these rats in the open-field. In triiodothyronine treated rats, L-tryptophan eliminated a light stimulatory effects of thyroid hormones on the processes of formations and retention of the active avoidance reaction, increased the exploratory activity, but decreased grooming in the open-field.  相似文献
