Alimentary instrumental conditioned reflex (CR) was elaborated in dogs to light flashes (I series), electrostimulation (ES) of the hippocampus (II series) and the hypothalamus (III series). Nonreinforced ES of the hypothalamus, amygdala, hippocampus and septum reproduced pressings on the pedal to the least extent in the I series (17-40% of trials), increasing in the II-nd one up to 40-87% during stimulation of the lateral hypothalamus, medial amygdala and contralateral hippocampus. In the III-rd series the number of pressings increased statistically significantly in comparison with the I-st series for most structures. Probably, besides the artificial increase of motivation during ES of the limbic structures which took place in all series, in the II-nd and III-rd series significance for movement reproduction was acquired by CR generalization appearing due to close interconnection of the structures. In this phenomenon connections (evaluated by the EPs) from the tested structures to the initially signal one are important.  相似文献

The structure-affinity relationships of two novel 2-substituted adenosine series containing a substituted pyrazole attached at the N-1 or C-4 position for the adenosine (ADO) A2A receptor are described. Compounds in the 2-(N-1-pyrazolyl) adenosine series IV provided the highest affinity for the ADO A2A receptor as compared to the 2-(C-4-pyrazolyl) series V. The main structural differences between the two series point to the N-1 nitrogen of series IV imparting more favorable binding interactions with the receptor than those of series V.  相似文献

A quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) study has been made on some series of anti-hepatitis B virus (HBV) agents, namely, a series of novel bis(L-amino acid) ester prodrugs of 9-[2--(phosphonomethoxy)ethyl]adenine, a similar series of compounds comprising of 2- amino-6-arylthio-9-[2-(phosphonoethoxy)ethyl] purine bis(2,2,2- trifluoroethyl) esters, and a series of 1-isopropylsulfonyl-2-amine benzimidazoles. In each case significant correlations are found between the anti-HBV potencies and some physicochemical and steric properties of the compounds, indicating that for the first two series the activity is controlled by the hydrophobic and the bulk properties of the molecules and, for the third series, the steric and hydrogen bonding properties of compounds are crucial for their anti-HBV potency.  相似文献

ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND: Early classification of time series is beneficial for biomedical informatics problems suchincluding, but not limited to, disease change detection. Early classification can be oftremendous help by identifying the onset of a disease before it has time to fully take hold. Inaddition, extracting patterns from the original time series helps domain experts to gaininsights into the classification results. This problem has been studied recently using timeseries segments called shapelets. In this paper, we present a method, which we callMultivariate Shapelets Detection (MSD), that allows for early and patient-specificclassification of multivariate time series. The method extracts time series patterns, calledmultivariate shapelets, from all dimensions of the time series that distinctly manifest thetarget class locally. The time series were classified by searching for the earliest closestpatterns. RESULTS: The proposed early classification method for multivariate time series has been evaluated oneight gene expression datasets from viral infection and drug response studies in humans. Inour experiments, the MSD method outperformed the baseline methods, achieving highlyaccurate classification by using as little as 40%-64% of the time series. The obtained resultsprovide evidence that using conventional classification methods on short time series is notas accurate as using the proposed methods specialized for early classification. CONCLUSION: For the early classification task, we proposed a method called Multivariate ShapeletsDetection (MSD), which extracts patterns from all dimensions of the time series. Weshowed that the MSD method can classify the time series early by using as little as40%-64% of the time series' length.  相似文献

Estrous female voles (Microtus montanus) received (a) no copulation, (b) one ejaculatory series, (c) two ejaculatory series, or (d) more than two series. Copulation was shown to be essential for ovulation, and increasing amounts of copulatory stimulation were demonstrated to increase the probability of ovulation. Only 25% of females receiving one ejaculatory series ovulated, whereas 100% of those receiving more than two series ovulated. Thus, multiple ejaculations play an important role in successful reproduction in this species.  相似文献

We compared three methods: arteriovenous anastomosis, doxorubicin administration, and combination of anastomosis and doxorubicin, with the intention of designing a simple, stable model of chronic heart failure. Twelve dogs were divided into three groups of four. One group received carotid-jugular anastomosis (Ana series), another group received anastomosis and doxorubicin injection (A/D series), and the last group received only doxorubicin (Dox series). Animals were followed for eight weeks. Fifteen different haemodynamic parameters were tracked and compared to baseline values. After eight weeks, diastolic pressure in the right atrium increased from 3.8+/-2.0 mmHg at baseline to 5.3+/-5.9 mmHg in the Ana series, to 6.3+/-3.3 mmHg in the Dox series and to 8.0+/-2.0 mmHg in the A/D series (P<0.05 A/D vs. baseline). Systolic pulmonary wedge pressure increased from 11.6+/-2.0 mmHg at baseline to 15.5+/-3.4 mmHg in the Ana series, 14.0+/-3.7 mmHg in the Dox series and 17.3+/-4.2 mmHg in the A/D series (P = NS vs. baseline). Left ventricular ejection fraction decreased from 53.9+/-10% at baseline to 36.1+/-5.6% in the Ana series (P<0.05 vs. baseline), 31.5+/-5.4% in the Dox series (P<0.05 vs. baseline) and 25.8+/-5.8% in the A/D series (P<0.001 vs. baseline, P<0.05 vs. Ana series and Dox series). In conclusion, eight weeks are not enough to produce stable heart failure using arteriovenous anastomosis alone. Doxorubicin administration alone produces a left ventricular failure. However, a combination of both of these interventions provides a more stable model of right-and left-sided heart failure.  相似文献

目的 :探讨磁共振短时的反转恢复序列 (STIR)在膝关节骨挫伤中的临床应用。方法 :通过 32例膝关节外伤病例在常规SE序列、FSE序列和STIR序列中的影像表现 ,分析STIR序列的优越性。结果 :32例共 45个骨挫伤病灶 ,T1W发现 38个 (占 84% ) ,T2W发现 37个 (占 82 % ) ,STIR序列病灶全部显示( 1 0 0 % )。结论 :STIR序列对骨挫伤的敏感性较高 ,能显示微小的骨髓水肿 ,充血及骨小梁的微骨折及其周围的骨软骨、关节囊的细微变化 ,对膝关节外伤具有较高价值。  相似文献

A series of mirror image (ent) forms of prostaglandins F2 and E2 have been compared for potency in a hamster antifertility test. In the PGF2 series, ent-compounds surveyed had less potency than corresponding natural structures. For the PGE2 series, 11alpha-(15S)-ent-PGE2 methyl ester was 10-fold more potent than PGE2. Altering the C-9 hydroxy configuration in the PGF2 series from the natural alpha to beta decreased potency dramatically for compounds tested.  相似文献

A series of Milnacipran analogs with variation in the aromatic moiety were prepared in high enantiomeric excess. Structure-activity relationships for two parallel enantiomeric series are described. The (-)-(1R,2S)-naphthyl analog (8h) showed the highest potency in the two series and is a triple reuptake inhibitor of the SERT, NET, and DAT.  相似文献

On 42 subject three experimental series were carried out: in the first (12 persons) and second (24 persons) series the presented interval was limited by two short clicks, in the third series (6 persons)--by electrocutaneous stimuli. Duration of the stimuli was 1 ms. There were three regimes of work in the first and third series: the intervals successively increased from 100 to 500 ms with a step of 100 ms (1), decreased from 5000 to 100 ms (2) or varied in a random order (3). In the second series only the regime 3 was applied. In all series the method of temporal intervals reproduction was used. The means of the reproduction varied: in the second and third series the interval was reproduced by button pressing according to the presented duration: in the first series the end of the interval was marked by a short button push, and the beginning was the moment of the second stimulus presentation. With the first means a considerable overreproduction was observed of the presented duration at all intervals and all regimes. At the second and third series a phasic character of the reproduction duration was noted: up to 1000 ms the interval mostly was overestimated, over 2000 ms--it was significantly underestimated. It is suggested that as the estimation of the temporal interval implies some motor reaction, the afferent flow of signals from the active muscles can change the value of the reproduced duration. In the first series, the subjects probably do not take into account the time necessary for the realized signal perception.  相似文献

The importance of metabolic feedback regulation vs. feedforward regulation of hepatic glucose production (HGP) during exercise was investigated in rats by infusing glucose intravenously from the onset of running. Glucose infusion equaled the average exercise-induced increase from basal to steady state in HGP found in saline-infused control rats. Rats were studied at two work loads, running at 21 (series I) or 18 m/min (series II) for 35 min. Glucose turnover was measured by means of an intravenous [3H]glucose infusion. HGP was suppressed by glucose infusion corresponding to the infused amount of glucose in both series, except for late in exercise in series I, where HGP plus infused glucose tended to exceed HGP in saline-infused rats (P less than 0.10). Muscle glycogenolysis and fat metabolism were similar in both groups in the two series. Plasma glucose was never elevated, whereas insulin was, in glucose- vs. saline-infused rats of both series. Plasma catecholamines were lower in glucose- compared with saline-infused rats in series II. In conclusion, HGP is very sensitive to metabolic feedback inhibition at low exercise intensities. Feedforward control of HGP may play a role at higher work loads (series I). Exogenously supplied glucose, in moderate amounts, may replace HGP specifically without concomitant changes in mobilization of other substrates.  相似文献

Pigeons accustomed to food reinforcement for responding in the presence of a 25-Hz flickering light were exposed to several sets of flicker-frequency stimuli arranged as increasing and decreasing series. In the first experiment, food was occasionally delivered for key pecks during 30-s periods of 25-Hz flicker appearing at the beginning, midway, and at the end of an ascending and descending series of nine frequencies, ranging from 13 to 37 Hz. These stimuli appeared for 15-s periods with no food available (extinction). Gradients of responding to flicker values in the ascending series differed from those in the descending series, showing displacements in peak responding toward the lower and higher frequency values, respectively. The same effects occurred when the sequence was changed so that a descending series was followed by an ascending series of frequencies. These effects are consonant with an adaptation level (AL) interpretation and were replicated in a second experiment in which durations of the extinction presentations were increased to 30s. In a final condition, only a descending series was presented and displacement of peak responding from 25 Hz to a higher frequency stimulus, 28 Hz, was observed.  相似文献

The efficacies of the standard procedure for application of negative pressure on the lower part of the body (NPLB) and a combination of NPLB and negative-pressure respiration (NPR) during a simulated last stage of a spaceflight under conditions of antiorthostatic hypokinesia (ANOH, –6°) and isolation for 7 days have been compared in the course of three series of tests involving six volunteers in an EU-100 pressurized chamber. After the end of the 7-day ANOH and isolation, episodes of orthostatic disorders were observed in all six subjects in the first series of tests (the control series) and in four subjects in the second series (NPLB). In the third series (NPLB + NPR), orthostatic disorders, if any, were slight. Two main conclusions have been made. First, ANOH combined with isolation in a small chamber may be used to simulate the effects of the combined factors of spaceflight on humans in order to obtain model gravitational circulatory disorders. Second, the combined use of NPLB + NPR under these conditions may be effective for the prevention of orthostatic circulatory disorders in humans.  相似文献

An improved surrogate method for detecting the presence of chaos in gait   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
It has been suggested that the intercycle variability present in the time series of biomechanical gait data is of chaotic nature. However, the proper methodology for the correct determination of whether intercycle fluctuations in the data are deterministic chaos or random noise has not been identified. Our goal was to evaluate the pseudoperiodic surrogation (PPS) [Small et al., 2001. Surrogate test for pseudoperiodic time series data. Physical Review Letters 87(18), 188,101-188,104], and the surrogation algorithms of Theiler et al. [1992. Testing for nonlinearity in time series: the method of surrogate data. Physica D 58(1-4), 77-94] and of Theiler and Rapp [1996. Re-examination of the evidence for low-dimensional, nonlinear structure in the human electroencephalogram. Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology 98, 213-222], to determine which is the more robust procedure for the verification of the presence of chaos in gait time series. The knee angle kinematic time series from six healthy subjects, generated from a 2-min walk, were processed with both algorithms. The Lyapunov exponent (LyE) and the approximate entropy (ApEn) were calculated from the original data and both surrogates. Paired t-tests that compared the LyE and the ApEn values revealed significant differences between both surrogated time series and the original data, indicating the presence of deterministic chaos in the original data. However, the Theiler algorithm affected the intracycle dynamics of the gait time series by changing their overall shape. This resulted in significantly higher LyE and ApEn values for the Theiler-surrogated data when compared with both the original and the PPS-generated data. Thus, the discovery of significant differences was a false positive because it was not based on differences in the intercycle dynamics but rather on the fact that the time series was of a completely different shape. The PPS algorithm, on the other hand, preserved the intracycle dynamics of the original time series, making it more suitable for the investigation of the intercycle dynamics and the identification of the presence of chaos in the gait time series.  相似文献

Associations of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) with the form traits, branch cluster frequency and stem straightness, were studied in three radiata pine (Pinus radiata D. Don) breeding populations. For branch cluster frequency, high genotype by environment (G×E) interactions were found between two sites of the POP1 trial series (Tarawera and Glenledi) and between two sites of the POP2 trial series (Tarawera and Woodhill). For stem straightness, high G×E interactions were found between two sites (Tarawera and Woodhill) in both the POP2 and POP3 trial series. Thirty-two and 26 SNPs were associated with branch cluster frequency and stem straightness respectively, across a number of sites and trial series in a genetic model assuming heterogeneous additive genetic variances across sites. These SNPs had significant associations with branch cluster frequency or stem straightness either in one site only, across sites within a trial series or across different trial series. Seven SNPs had significant associations with branch cluster frequency and seven SNPs with stem straightness across two of three trial series. One SNP had significant association with stem straightness across all three trial series. Strong G×E interactions resulted in fewer significant SNPs in common across the sites among which there were large effect differences. The percentage of genetic variance explained by SNPs showing significant associations ranged from 0.23 to 8.76 % for branch cluster frequency and from 0.37 to 12.75 % for stem straightness. This study showed that SNP effects for a trait change across environments if G×E interactions exist for that trait.  相似文献

Comparative analysis of the indices of oxygen supply for the body and the brain and the functional state of the brain was carried out in three experimental situations: performance of cognitive-mnestic tests under normoxic (TN) and hypoxic conditions (TH) and exposure to hypoxia in the absence of cognitive tasks (H). Each subject participated in all of the experiments. Hypoxic conditions were created by breathing of a hypoxic gas mixture (HGM) consisting of oxygen and nitrogen for 25 min. The first group (eight subjects) was exposed to moderate hypoxia, with the gas mixture containing 12% O2 (HGM-12); the second group (eight subjects) was exposed to severe hypoxia, with the gas mixture containing 8% O2 (HGM-8). The cognitive-mnestic activity (CMA) under both normoxia and hypoxia was continuous and included the following tests: “Arithmetic calculations,” “Memory for numerals,” “Colored figures”, and “Sensorimotor response time.” The CMA efficiency was significantly impaired only under severe hypoxia (HGM-8). The CMA efficiency was higher in some subjects of the first group (HGM-12) in the TH series as compared to that in the TN series. The EEG spectral power (SP) during CMA was decreased as compared to the background in all subjects in the TN series and in most subjects of the first group, exposed to HGM-12, whereas it was increased in all subjects of the second group, exposed to HGM-8. The EEG SP was lower in most subjects of both groups studied in the TH series as compared to that found in the H series. The rheographic index of cerebral blood flow rate was not changed compared to the background in the TN series and was increased in the H and TH series during HGM-8 treatment. The increase in cerebral blood flow was less pronounced in the TH series as compared to the H series in most subjects of the second group (HGM-8). Oxygen consumption by the body was elevated by 10–20% in the TN series. A significant increase in oxygen consumption was found in the subjects of both groups studied during hypoxia treatment (H), and it was greater in HGM-12. The following differences were found between the subjects of the two experimental groups: the increase in oxygen consumption in most subjects of the first group (HGM-12) was higher in the TH series as compared to the H series, whereas, in most subjects of the second group (HGM-8), the increase in oxygen consumption was higher in the H series. The data are discussed from the point of view of synergic and concurrent relationships between different forms of energy expenditure on structural and functional reorganization and organ-specific functions.  相似文献

By the means of spectral analysis, dependency of heart rate variability (HRV) on average R--R-intervals (R--Rav, sec) is explored at controlled (forced) breathing. According to our findings, the dependency of the peak frequency at a spectral density graph for source series of R--R-intervals upon the RRav may be presented by the following formula: fp 1.0 = fr: RRav, where fp 1.0--peak frequency when R--Rav = 1.0 sec, fp--peak frequency at current R--Rav. For correcting (standardization) the frequency domain borders of spectral power (fd) of sources series of the R--Rav-intervals it is possible to use the formula: fd = fd 1.0 R--Rav, where fd 1.0--frequency domain border at R--Rav = 1.0 sec. The correction (standardization) of frequency domain borders of spectral power (fd), frequency peaks (fp 1.0) of sources series of the R--Rav-intervals as compared to current R--Rav allows to compare different series of the R--Rav-intervals without using the transformation to the discrete event series (DES).  相似文献

We analyzed 44 moldy corn samples for the B and C series of fumonisins by high-performance liquid chromatography. Of the 44 samples, 32 (73%) were contaminated with both the B and C series of fumonisins and 6 were contaminated with only the B series of fumonisins. The incidence of fumonisin C1 in moldy corn was 71%; the incidence was 11% for fumonisin C3 and 43% for fumonisin C4. Their mean levels ranged from 500 to 1,900 ng/g. This is the first report on the natural occurrence of the C series of fumonisins and fumonisin B4 in moldy corn.  相似文献
