A new karyotype for blind mole rats was recorded in Tunceli province in Eastern Turkey. The karyotype contained 44 chromosomes, including 13 biarmed pairs, 7 acrocentric pairs, and one heteromorphic pair with a submetacentric and an acrocentric homologue in the autosomal complement (FNa=69). The X chromosome was submetacentric and the Y chromosome medium-sized subtelocentric (FN=73). Distinct dark centromeric C-bands were observed on most of the biarmed and three pairs of the acrocentric autosomes. The NORs were detected on short arms of three subtelocentric pairs and one acrocentric pair of autosomes. The diploid number of chromosomes and the karyotype characteristics observed are obviously unique among hitherto studied populations of blind mole rats and the complement can be evaluated as a new chromosome race of Nannospalax xanthodon. The distribution ranges of individual chromosome races of the species recorded in Eastern Anatolia are revised and possible interracial hybridization is discussed in respect of the finding of a new race.  相似文献

Karyotypes of Calomyscus from different regions of Turkmenistan, Iran, and Azerbaijan were studied using chromosome banding (G- and C-banding) and analyses of meiosis in laboratory hybrids. Extensive variation in the diploid number and the number of autosomal arms (FNa) was revealed (2n = 30, FNa = 44; 2n = 32, FNa = 42; 2n = 44, FNa = 46; 2n = 44, FNa = 58; 2n = 37, FNa = 44; 2n = 50, FNa = 50; 2n = 52, FNa = 56). Centric and tandem fusions and heterochromatin changes were identified as the major modes of karyotype evolution in this group. Natural hybrids between individuals with different karyotypes were recorded, and regular chromosome pairing in meiosis was observed in laboratory hybrids. Fluorescence in situ hybridization with a 353-bp BspRI complex tandem repeat indicated that chromosomal repatterning occurred recently within the genus. There is no unequivocal evidence suggesting the role of chromosomal change in the speciation of the populations of Calomyscus examined.  相似文献

Karyotypes of four Chinese species of field mice of the genus Apodemus were examined, including Apodemus chevrieri(diploid chromosome number,2 n=48, fundamental number of autosomal arms,FNa=56), A. draco(2 n=48, FNa=48), A. ilex(2 n=48, FNa=48), and A. latronum(2 n=48, FNa=48).Karyotypes of A. chevrieri, A. draco, and A. ilex are reported here for the first time, providing useful information for their species taxonomy. Determining the karyotypes of all species of Apodemus in Asia,both in this and previous studies, provides a solid overview of the chromosome evolution and species differentiation of the genus in East Asia. In addition to allopatric speciation, chromosome rearrangements likely played an important role in the formation of the four Apodemus species groups as well as speciation within each group in East Asia. For example, increased centromeric heterochromatin in A. latronum may have contributed to the post-mating reproductive isolation from the A. draco-A. ilex-A. semotus clade.  相似文献

Two cytotypes (2n = 36 and 38) of blind mole rats, Nannospalax xanthodon (Nordmann, 1840), from the Ayd?n and Manisa provinces in Turkey were investigated. Conventional chromosome staining, Ag-NOR staining and C-banding analysis were carried out. From the cytogenetic point of view, the particular phylogenetic position of these populations is supported by their low diploid numbers only, and the Cbanding pattern and the NORs distribution seem generally similar to populations with higher chromosome numbers. Several autosomal pairs with centromeric dark Cbands were observed in the 2n=36 cytotype. One autosomal pair possessed an interstitial dark C-band on the short arm; another pair possessed an interstitial dark Cband on the long arm. Whole C-heterochromatic short arms were observed in three subtelocentric autosomal pairs in the 2n=38 cytotype. Most of the other autosomal pairs possessed centromeric dark C-bands. Distinct dark C-bands were observed also in the presumed X chromosomes of both the cytotypes. The Ag-NOR regions were found on three autosomal pairs of both the cytotypes. These sites were located in telomeric areas of the short arms of two subtelocentric and one submetacentric pair.  相似文献

A karyometric analysis of the chromosome set of the marine turbellariansMonocelis fusca, M. lineata andParotoplana macrostyla has been carried out. The karyotype of the twoMonocelis species investigated (2n=6) is formed by three pairs of small and similarly sized chromosomes: InM. fusca, chromosome 1 is metacentric, chromosome 2 acrocentric and chromosome 3 is subtelocentric.M. lineata also presents one pair of metacentric chromosomes (chromosome 2), while chromosomes 1 and 3 are submetacentric.P. macrostyla (2n=12) reveals two pairs of large metacentric and four pairs of small chromosomes, three of which are metacentric, whereas the last is subtelocentric.  相似文献

The Choeroniscus genus (Glossophaginae, Phyllostomidae) has five monotypic species: C. minor, C. godmani, C. intermedius, C. inca and C. periosus. This paper analyses the karyotype of a female C. minor, collected close to the Guama river (Belém, Para, Brazil). G-, C-banding and NOR-staining were performed. This species has 2n = 20 chromosomes, where there are two bi-armed pairs (numbers 1 and 9) and seven subtelocentric pairs (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8). The probable X chromosome is a submetacentric. The constitutive heterochromatin can be found in the short arm of five subtelocentric pairs (4, 5, 6, 7 and 8) and is centromeric in the bi-armed pairs numbers 1 and 9, and the X chromosome. The heterochromatic bands are heteromorphic in three pairs (1, 2 and 3). Active NOR were observed in the short arms of eight subtelocentric chromosomes, suggesting that at least four pairs are nucleolar organizers. This paper describes for the first time the karyotype of C. minor from the Amazon region.  相似文献

The Vespertilionidae is the largest family in the order Chiroptera and has a worldwide distribution in the temperate and tropical regions. In order to further clarify the karyotype relationships at the lower taxonomic level in Vespertilionidae, genome-wide comparative maps have been constructed between Myotis myotis (MMY, 2n = 44) and six vesper bats from China: Myotis altarium (MAL, 2n = 44), Hypsugo pulveratus (HPU, 2n = 44), Nyctalus velutinus (NVE, 2n = 36), Tylonycteris robustula (TRO, 2n = 32), Tylonycteris sp. (TSP, 2n = 30)and Miniopterus fuliginosus (MFU, 2n = 46) by cross-species chromosome painting with a set of painting probes derived from flow-sorted chromosomes of Myotis myotis. Each Myotis myotis autosomal probe detected a single homologous chromosomal segment in the genomes of these six vesper bats except for MMY chromosome 3/4 paint which hybridized onto two chromosomes in the genome of M. fuliginosus. Our results show that Robertsonian translocation is the main mode of karyotype evolution in Vespertilionidae and that the addition of heterochromatic material also plays an important role in the karyotypic evolution of the genera Tylonycteris and Nyctalus. Two conserved syntenic associations (MMY9 + 23 and 18 + 19) could be the synapomorphic features for the genus Tylonycteris. The integration of our maps with the published maps has enabled us to deduce chromosomal homologies between human and these six vesper bats and provided new insight into the karyotype evolution of the family Vespertilionidae.  相似文献

Karyotypes of Siberian taimen Hugo taimen from the Manoma River (Amur basin) were investigated. The karyotypes examined differed in chromosome number from 2n = 82 to 2n = 83; chromosome arm number was NF = 112. These differences, as well as the difference in the karyotype of Siberian taimen from the lower flow of the Amur River (2n = 84) described earlier, are due to Robertsonian polymorphism of one pair of large submetacentric chromosomes. The nucleolus organizer regions are located on the short arms of one or two subtelocentric chromosomes of different pairs. The probable sequence of karyotype divergence in taimens of the Hugo genus is discussed.  相似文献

The karyotypes of Biomphalaria tenagophila collected from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil were studied using the air-drying method. Somatic cells of this species had 2n=36. The 18 chromosome pairs were identified and classified into 3 groups. The diploid cell has 7 pairs of metacentric, 8 pairs of submetacentric, and 3 pairs of subtelocentric chromosomes. Observed chromosomes ranged from 2.4 to 6.4 µm, and the total length was 122.3 µm. This is the first report on the chromosome of B. tenagophila.  相似文献

For the first time, we studied the karyotype of the flathead sculpin Megalocottus platycephalus taeniopterus (Kner, 1868) from Vostok Bay of the Sea of Japan. The karyotype is stable: 2n = 42 (2 metacentric, 2 submeta-subtelocentric, 30 subtelocentric, and 8 acrocentric chromosomes), NF = 44 + 2. The nucleolar organizers (NOs) were identified using Ag banding in two pairs of chromosomes: in the telomeric parts of the short arm of the medium-size subtelocentric chromosome and the long arm of the large acrocentric chromosome. Variations in the number of nucleolar organizer chromosomes and in the number of NO staining blocks were found. Comparison of the karyotypes of M. p. taeniopterus and previously studied M. p. platycephalus (Pallas, 1814) from the northern Sea of Okhotsk revealed their similarity in the number and morphology of chromosomes and the number of chromosome arms and difference between the subspecies in the number and location of NO, which allows their discrimination.  相似文献

The presumed ancestral karyotype of the bat family Vespertilionidae consists of 44 chromosomes with a fundamental number of autosomal arms (FNa) of 50. Previously, only two of the roughly 350 vespertilionid species have been reported with 2n lower than 26. In this paper we report the 2n = 22 karyotype of the African vespertilionid Glauconycteris beatrix which shows an X-autosome translocation and extended, paracentromeric, chromomycin-A3-positive heterochromatin.  相似文献

The karyotypes of four species of Dyscophinae and eight species of Cophylinae were analyzed. The chromosome number was 2n=26 in all cases. Between the two subfamilies a difference in the form of the karyotype was observed; the chromosomes show a gradual decrease in length in the Dyscophinae, whereas in the Cophylinae the karyotype demonstrates a clear discontinuity of size between pairs 5 and 6.Chromosomal polymorphism was found in Plethodontohyla tuberata, the chromosomes of pair 4 were subtelocentric in the homozygous specimens, whereas this pair showed a subtelocentric and a submetacentric chromosome of equal length in the heterozygous one, suggesting a pericentric inversion. Although in the Cophylinae the chromosome number is constant, the number of chromosome arms is variable. Pericentric inversions seem to play an important role in the chromosomal evolution of the Cophylinae.  相似文献

本文首次报道了一种革螨——茅舍血厉螨核型及染色体C带、G带的研究。用剖腹取卵法、玻璃纸压片、Giemsa染色,经分析茅舍血厉螨的核型,单倍体n=7,二倍体2n=14。 用氢氧化钡—吉姆萨技术显示茅舍血厉螨染色体C带。在第1、2、4、5染色体上出现恒定的C带部分,第3、6、7染色体上出现不恒定的C带部分。根据C带带型,茅舍血厉螨着丝点的位置可分为近中区域(sm),近端区域(St),末端区域(t)和末端点(T)四类。 G带分析用胰蛋白酶—吉姆萨技术显示。 本文对茅舍血厉螨的核型、革螨染色体研究中螨卵的收集方法和染液的改进、C带带型与着丝粒位置的确定和G带显带问题进行了讨论。  相似文献

A karyological study was carried out in order to compared the chromosome numbers, chromosome morphologies and karyotypes of the oriental liver fluke, Clonorchis sinensis (Trematoda: Opisthorchiidae), collected from Korea and China. Chromosome preparations were made by means of air-drying method. The chromosome number was 2n = 56 in both Korean and Chinese flukes, and chromosomes were divided into two groups based on this size; consisting of 8 pairs of large and 20 pairs of small chromosomes. However, the karyotypes showed some differences between Korean and Chinese flukes. The karyotype of liver flukes from Korea consisted of three metacentric pairs, one meta-/submetacentric pair, 16 submetacentric pairs and eight subtelocentric pairs of chromosomes. On the other hand, liver flukes from China consisted of two metacentric pairs, two meta-/submetacentric pairs, 16 submetacentric pairs and eight subtelocentric pairs of chromosomes.  相似文献

采用PHA和秋水仙素体内注射法直接制作肾细胞染色体标本,对彭泽鲫种群内两个不同雌核发育克隆的亲本进行染色体数目及组型分析。结果表明,彭泽鲫种群内的两个不同克隆存在染色体数目及组型差异,其中克隆H包含6条超数染色体在内的染色体众数是156,150条基本染色体的组型公式为:42M 36SM 39ST 33T,NF=228;克隆L包含12条超数染色体在内的染色体众数是162,150条基本染色体的组型公式为:36M 45SM 33ST 36T,NF=231。两个不同雌核发育克隆的发现及其染色体的差异说明彭泽鲫种群内同样存在着类似银鲫种群内的遗传多样性。  相似文献

The chromosomes of an undescribed species of the genus Apareiodon (Characiformes, Parodontidae) from the Verde River, a headwater affluent of the Tibagi River (Paraná State, Brazil), were investigated using conventional Giemsa and Ag stainings, C-banding, CMA(3) fluorescence and fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) using 18S and 5S rDNA probes. The diploid chromosome number was 2n = 54, with the karyotype composed of 48 meta/submetacentric and six subtelocentric chromosomes in males, and 47 meta/submetacentric + seven subtelocentric chromosomes in females. The difference is hypothesized to be due to a ZZ/ZW heteromorphic sex chromosome system, a cytotaxonomic characteristic previously observed only in some species of the genus Parodon (family Parodontidae). The presence of similar and/or identical heteromorphic sex chromosome systems might suggest that species of the genera Parodon and Apareiodon bearing ZZ/ZW heteromorphic sex chromosomes likely constitute a monophyletic group, a hypothesis to be tested by a robust phylogeny of the family.  相似文献

The karyotype of a subspecies of the golden loach,Sabanejewia aurata balcanica from eastern Slovakia was studied by conventional Giemsa staining, Ag-NOR staining, and C-banding. The diploid chromosome number was 2n = 50. The karyotype comprised 2 pairs of metacentric, 6 pairs of submetacentric and 17 pairs of subtelocentric to acrocentric chromosomes. Both metacentric pairs and 2 large subtelocentric pairs had massive pericentromeric blocks, while all other elements had only weak blocks of heterochromatin. The NORs were localized on the short arms of one middle-sized subtelocentric pair. The karyotype ofS. a. balcanica differs from that ofS. aurata kubanica, suggesting chromosomal polymorphism of this widely distributed, polytypic cobitid species. The polymorphic karyotypes of the golden loach may thus demonstrate transient stages, linking primitive and advanced cobitid karyotypes.  相似文献
