The amino acid compositions of the proteinaceous components of the gum exudates from Prosopis alba, P. chilensis, P. glandulosa, P. laevigata, P. torreyana and P. velutina, and for a sample of commercial gum mesquite, are presented. In agreement with data published previously for the polysaccharide components of their gums, only minor differences in composition are shown by these species. The amino acid compositions are characterized by very high proportions of hydroxyproline and by high proportions of proline and serine; these three amino acids account for 62.5% of those present in the gum from Prosopis velutina. The amino acid compositions of these Prosopis gums are remarkably similar to that established recently for the gum from Acacia senegal (gum arabic).  相似文献

The alkaloids present in the seeds of four Erythrina species, E. brucei, E. cochleata, E. thollonia and E. caribaea have been screened by GC/MS. A new alkaloid, erythrocarine, has been isolated from E. caribaea and characterized as a methylenedioxy analogue of the known dienoid alkaloids erysoline and erysonine.  相似文献

A particulate enzymatic preparation, extracted from fenugreek seedlings (Trigonella foenum-graecum) catalyses the transfer of mannose from guanosine diphosphate-[U-14C]mannose and its incorporation into an alkali-soluble polysaccharide. Chemical and enzymatic study of this polysaccharide reveals the presence of only one type of osidic linkage, namely β-(1 → 4)-s-mannopyranosyl. The influence of some factors on this biosynthesis was studied, as well as the MW of the polysaccharide and the existence of an endogenous acceptor.  相似文献

Ammodendrine, together with seven other known lupin alkaloids, was isolated from Thermopsis lupinoides. (+)-Lupanine (+)-17-oxolupanine occurred together with (?)anagyrine, (?)-baptifoline, (?)-cytisine, (?)-N-methylcytisine (?)N-formylcytisine. These alkaloids have the opposite stereochemistry to that of (+)-lupanine and (+)-17-oxolupanine. The distribution of alkaloids in fresh flowers, leaves, stems roots of this plant was also examined.  相似文献

Two new alkaloids, calpurmenine (12β,13α-dihydroxylupanine) and its 13α-pyrrolylcarboxylic acid ester have been isolated from a South African sample of Calpurnia aurea.
