Triterpenoids of Cnidosculus urens

The ethanol extract of Cnidosculus urens yielded β-amyrin cinnamate and germanicol acetate. Also, using ¹³C NMR spectroscopy, mixtures of β-amyrin, germanicol and lupeol as well as their acetates were identified.     

Lupeol long-chain fatty acid esters and other triterpenoid constituents from Plumeria obtusifolia

From the bark of Plumeria obtusifolia was isolated a series of lupeol fatty esters with the carbon numbers 16, 18,20 and 21–28 in the fatty acid part. Furthermore, lupeol, lupeol acetate, sitosterol, stigmasterol and campesterol were also identified.

首次从朱砂藤根中人离并鉴定了β－香树脂醇乙本能酯,蒲公英醇,β－谷甾醇,另有两个结晶尚在鉴定中,将另文报道。     

The biosynthesis,metabolism and translocation of β-amyrin in Sorghum bicolor

The biosynthesis of [¹⁴C] β-amyrin and three other labelled 3β-hydroxypentacyclic triterpenes from [2-^14C] acetate in leaves of Sorghum bicolor was demonstrated. Evidence for the metabolism of [¹⁴C] β-amyrin to the corresponding C-3 ketone (β-amyrone) and for the transport of [¹⁴C] β-amyrin in leaves was also obtained.     

In vitro cyclization of squalene 2,3-epoxide to α-amyrin by microsomes from bramble cell suspension cultures

Squalene 2,3-epoxide incubated with microsomes from bramble cell suspension cultures is shown to be converted into α-amyrin.     

Latex extractables of Calotropis gigantea

The hexane and methanol soluble extract of the latex coagulum of Calotropis gigantea afforded two new triterpene esters, viz. 3′-methylbutanoates of α-amyrin and ψ-taraxasterol, besides the known 3′-methylbutanoates of three triterpene alcohols. The compositions of the alkane fraction, total triterpene alcohol fraction, and free, acetyl and 3′-methylbutanoyl triterpene alcohol fractions of the extract were determined.

用溶剂提取和硅胶柱色谱方法,从狼毒大戟中分得两个三萜化合物和一个酸类化合物,经物理常数和色谱分析鉴定为羽扇豆酮、羽扇豆醇乙酯和没食子酸。     

Triterpenoids from Hyptis suaveolens roots

A new natural triterpenoid, 3β-hydroxylup-12-en-28-oic acid, has been isolated from the roots of Hyptis suaveolens in addition to α- and β-amyrin.     

Aplotaxene epoxide from Cirsium hypoleucum

Aplotaxene epoxide (11,12-epoxyheptadeca-1,8,14-triene) was isolated from the roots of Cirsium hypoleucum. The pentacyclic tritepenes lupeol, taraxasterol and β-amyrin, and other acetates, were identified in C. hypoleucum, C. canum and C. carolinianum.     

Triterpenoids in epicuticular waxes of Dudleya species

The pentacyclic triterpenoids, β-amyrin acetate and taraxerone, are major components in the epicuticular wax of the genus Dudleya.     

3,5,7,3′,5′-Pentahydroxyflavan and 3α-methoxyfriedelan from Humboldtia laurifolia

The leaf, bark and timber extractives of Humboldtia laurifolia were investigated and the following compounds have been isolated: O-acetyloleanolic aldehyde, a sitosteryl ester, lupeol, sitosterol, a fatty acid, 5,7,4′-trihydroxyflavone (apigenin), (2R,3R)-3,5,7,3′,5′-pentahydroxyflavan and 3α-methoxyfriedelan. The latter two compounds are new natural products.
