Five new Liphistius species (Araneae, Mesothelae) from Thailand

Five new Liphistius species are described: L. lahu from northern Thailand, L. isan from northeastern Thailand, L. sayam from central Thailand, L. phileion from southeastern Thailand and L. phuketensis from southern Thailand. Liphistius thaleban Schwendinger is recorded from a new locality in southern Thailand. Notes on natural history are given, zoogeography and relationships between the species examined are discussed and four superspecies are distinguished within the trung -species group.     

Four new species, a new variety, and a status change in Argostemma (Rubiaceae) from Thailand

Four new species of Argostemma , all endemic to Thailand are described: A. thaithongae , restricted to northern Thailand; A. monophyllum , rather widely distributed in the easern half of Thailand: A. puffii and A. routundicalyx , both endemic to peninsular Thailand. Var. variabile is a new variety of the peninsular Thailand, species A. lobulatum. A. setosum , previously thought to be an endemic species of peninsular Thailand, is now considered to be a subspecies of A. laeve (Malay peninsula and Sumatra): A. laeve subsp. setosum , stat. nov.     

Contributions to the orchid flora of Thailand XI

The present paper contains further additions and corrections to earlier papers on the orchid flora of Thailand. Five new species are proposed, three species are new records for Thailand, and three earlier established taxa are reduced to synonyms.     

Contributions to the orchid flora of Thailand IX

In continuation of earlier papers in this series, published in the now discontinued Botanisk Tidskrift Vol. 65–72, 1969–1977, additions and corrections to earlier papers on East Asiatic orchids are supplied. Seven new species are proposed, of which five from neighboring countries, and further seven new records for Thailand are listed. The five species alien to Thailand may be expected to be found also in Thailand. Some nomenclatural changes and new synonyms are proposed. An attempt is made to clarify taxonomical and nomenclatural problems on some entities in the Rhopalanthe section of Dendrobium.     

Elettariopsis chayaniana ( Zingiberaceae) , a New Species from Eastern Thailand

A new species of Elettariopsis from eastern Thailand, E. chayaniana, is described and illustrated. Key to all species currently enumerated for Thailand is also provided.     

Ascomycetes from Northern Thailand

12 pyrenomycetes and 22 discomycetes are recorded from the Chiang Mai Province of Northern Thailand. 25 species are new to Thailand. Pulvinula anthracobia Schum. is described as new, and Xylaria scopiformis (Mont, ex Joly) Schum. comb. nov. is proposed.     

Seven new species of Miliusa (Annonaceae) from Thailand

Seven new species of the genus Miliusa are described from Thailand (M. fragrans, M. hirsuta, M. intermedia, M. nakhonsiana, M. sessilis, M. thailandica, and M. umpangensis). A key to the 19 species of Miliusa in Thailand is provided. In addition, the complete taxonomic nomenclature of all known species of Miliusa in Thailand is given, with several new proposed synonyms. The new as well as the known species of Miliusa in Thailand are classified into four morphological groups on the basis of a combination of flower and/or inflorescence position and inner petal morphology proposed earlier.     

Myxomycetes from Thailand

Thirty–four species of mycomycetes are reported, mostly from northern Thailand, of which sixteen are new records for Thailand. Cribraria rufa is reported from tropical latitudes for the first time.     

Aliquandostipitaceae, a new family for two new tropical ascomycetes with unusually wide hyphae and dimorphic ascomata

In two short surveys of lignicolous, fruitbody-forming ascomycetes in Thailand and southern China, six species were found, of which five were new to science. Two fungi with affinity to the Dothideomycetes, one from Thailand and one from China, are described here in the new genus ALIQUANDOSTIPITE: and included in the new family Aliquandostipitaceae. Aliquandostipite khaoyaiensis was found in a tropical rain forest in Thailand and A. sunyatsenii in a small stream in southern China. Both new species are closely related based on morphological and molecular characteristics and with uncertain affinity to other taxa of the Euascomycetes based on phylogenetic analyses of SSU rDNA sequences. The distinguishing features of the new species are the presence of both sessile and stalked ascomata side by side on the substratum and the widest hyphae known from ascomycetes.

Three new species of Hedychium from Thailand are described and illustrated, H. samuiense, H. tomentosum , and H. biflorum . A key to the species occurring in Thailand is provided.     

Four new species and one new record of Lasianthus (Rubiaceae) from Thailand

Four new species of the genus Lasianthus are described from Thailand and accompanied with taxonomic remarks. These new taxa are: L. ellipsoideus, L. flavi-hirtus, L. loeiensis and L roosianus. One variety, L. politus var. insularis is considered to be a synonym of L. coronatus extending the range of this species to Thailand.     

Rotifera from Peat-Swamps in Phuket Province,Thailand, with the Description of a New Colurella Bory de St. Vincent

The rotifer fauna of three peat-swamps in Phuket province, southern Thailand was investigated. A total of 77 species is identified, 12 of which are new to Thailand. A new species, Colurella sanoamuangae n. sp., is described. The zoogeography of the registered species is discussed.     

A synopsis of Goniothalamus species (Annonaceae) in Thailand, with descriptions of three new species

A comprehensive taxonomic revision of Goniothalamus species (Annonaceae) occurring in Thailand is presented for the first time. Twenty-five species are recognized, including three that are described as new to science ( Goniothalamus aurantiacus from South-Western Thailand, Goniothalamus maewongensis from Northern Thailand, and Goniothalamus rongklanus from Northern and North-Eastern Thailand). Several taxonomic and nomenclatural misunderstandings are corrected. The name G. griffithii is shown to be widely misapplied for populations in Northern Thailand, for which the name G. calvicarpus should be applied; 'true' G. griffithii is restricted to South-Western Thailand and Myanmar. In addition, the widely used name G. marcanii is shown to be a synonym of G. tamirensis , and the name G. latestigma , previously regarded as a synonym of G. undulatus , is reinstated. Goniothalamus cheliensis is furthermore newly recorded from Thailand. Three new species of Caulokaempferia (Zingiberaceae) from Thailand with a discussion of the generic diversity

Three new species of Caulokaempferia from Thailand, C. appendiculata, C. bracteata , and C. violacea , are described and illustrated. The diversity of genus is discussed. A key to the species known from Thailand is provided.

New Liphistius species (Araneae, Mesothelae) from western and eastern Thailand

Eight new Liphistius species, L. erawan from western Thailand, L. tenuis, L. nesioticus from southeastern Thailand and L. dangrek, L. suwat, L. thoranie, L. pusohm, and L. onoi from northeastern Thailand, are described together with the male of L. ochraceus Ono and Schwendinger. New species and a new record of Cycas (Cycadaceae) from Thailand

Two newCycas species from Thailand are here described.C. petraea andC. elephantipes. A noteworthy extensions of the range ofC. macrocarpa into southeastern Thailand is recorded. New taxa are illustrated, distributions of the new taxa are mapped, and a key to the species ofCycas in Thailand is provided.     

Review of the odd chrysidid genus Loboscelidia Westwood, 1874 (Hymenoptera, Chrysididae, Loboscelidiinae)

The chrysidid genus Loboscelidia is reviewed and 11 new species are described, including Loboscelidia cinnamonea (Borneo), Loboscelidia fulgens (Viet Nam), Loboscelidia fulva (Thailand), Loboscelidia incompleta (India), Loboscelidia kafae (Borneo), Loboscelidia laminata (Viet Nam), Loboscelidia meifungae (Borneo), Loboscelidia nasiformis (Thailand), Loboscelidia nitidula (Thailand), Loboscelidia pecki (Viet Nam), and Loboscelidia sisik (Borneo). A key to males of the species of Loboscelidia is given.
