A cladistic analysis of Lophopidae was performed, using 73 observed morphological characters and 41 taxa. This analysis involved 36 genera belonging to the Lophopidae family and 5 outgroups. For a better understanding of the selected characters some illustrations are provided. The most parsimonious cladograms obtained show that the Lophopidae cannot be considered as a monophyletic lineage unless two genera are withdrawn from this family: Hesticus Walker, 1862, and Silvanana Metcalf, 1947. The systematic position of these two genera remains uncertain. They cannot yet be included in another family of Fulgoromorpha. A cladistic analysis of each of the 19 remaining Fulgoromorphan families must be performed first. A new family could be created for these two genera, but not before we are sure that these two genera are in no way members of an existing family. The outgroup problem is discussed. The monophyletic lineage represented by the Lophopidae can be divided into four natural groups: Carriona+, Makota+, Sarebasa+, and Bisma+. When a cladistic analysis is completed using a data matrix without characters linked to females, the cladogram obtained presents a disrupted basal resolution. Female characters appear to bring a phylogenetic signal important basally in the evolution of the Lophopidae but also apically, directly between the relationships of some genera. A similar analysis, using a matrix without characters linked to males, provides a phylogeny disrupted between the groups that form the Lophopidae and in the basal resolution in these groups. The respective impacts of the genitalic characters are discussed in relation to sexual selection conflict.  相似文献

Abstract. This study compares the results of Rozen's cladistic analysis of the larvae of fifteen genera of cleptoparasitic bees in the subfamily Nomadinae with an independent data set of adult characters for the same genera. Adult characters exhibited considerably higher levels of homoplasy and poorer resolution of cladistic relationships, with multiple equally parsimonious cladograms. However, comparison of a Nelson consensus tree based on adult characters with the cladogram based on larval characters reveals three components consistently supported in both analyses (the tribes Epeolini and Ammobatini, and Neopasites + Neolarra) , one component supported only by adult characters (Isepeolus + Protepeolus) , and one terminal component supported only by larval characters (Nomada + Ammobatini), as well as several more inclusive groupings based on larval characters that are difficult to compare with the adult consensus tree because it shows so much less resolution. When adult and larval characters are combined in a single data matrix, the resulting cladogram closely resembles the cladogram based on larval characters alone, although levels of homoplasy are considerably higher than in the larval analysis.
A preliminary analysis of adult characters for thirty-four genera in the Nomadinae also exhibited high levels of homoplasy and very large numbers of equally parsimonious cladograms. Nevertheless, certain consistent monophyletic groupings, most notably the Epeolini and Ammobatini, were also supported in this analysis. The one currently recognized tribe whose monophyly has received no support from any analysis is the Nomadini.
The relevance of these phylogenetic hypotheses to our understanding of host associations and variable features of egg morphology and oviposition behaviour in nomadine bees is briefly discussed.  相似文献

Abstract. The phylogenetic relationships of the genera, subgenera and species-groups of the Vespinae are analysed using cladistic techniques. The results are used as the basis for a natural classification of these wasps. The cladogram for the four genera recognized is: Vespa + (Provespa + (Dolichovespula + Vespula)). No subgenera are recognized; all those previously described are synonymized with the appropriate genus. The synonymies of Nyctovespa with Vespa and Rugovespula with Vespula are new.  相似文献

This paper provides the first quantitative cladistic analysis of linyphiid morphology. Classical and novel homology hypotheses for a variety of character systems (male and female genitalia, somatic morphology, spinneret silk spigot morphology, etc.) are critically examined and studied within a phylogenetic context. Critical characters have been illustrated. A sample of linyphiid taxa (nine genera in four subfamilies), five species of Pimoa (Pimoidae), and two other araneoid families (Tetragnathidae and Araneidae, represented by Tetragnatha and Zygiella , respectively) were used to study the implications of the phylogeny of Pimoidae for the systematics of linyphiids. The phylogenetic relationships of these 16 exemplar taxa, as coded for the 47 characters studied, were analysed using numerical cladistic methods. In the preferred cladogram Pimoidae and Linyphiidae are sister groups, Stemonyphantinae are sister group to the remaining linyphiids, and Mynogleninae are sister group to the clade composed of Erigoninae plus Linyphiinae. These results agree with the relationships recently proposed by Wunderlich, except by finding erigonines as the sister group to linyphiines rather than to mynoglenines.  相似文献

Abstract. The phylogenetic relationships of tribes of the geometrid subfamily Sterrhinae (Lepidoptera) were studied, with special emphasis on finding delimiting characters for the tribe Scopulini. Two cladistic analyses were conducted for fifty‐nine species representing all previously recognized Sterrhinae tribes and covering the geographical range of the subfamily. In the first analysis, twelve putative synapomorphies of Scopulini, taken from the literature, were coded for actual specimens in order to test their ability to support the monophyly of the group. The resulting strict consensus cladogram was totally unresolved. In the second analysis, the twelve characters were combined with additional information from the morphology and ecology of adults and immature stages. Analysis of these ninety‐six characters resulted in a well‐resolved cladogram. The tribes were found to be monophyletic, except Cosymbiini and Rhodostrophiini. There are two main lineages within Sterrhinae: Cosymbiini + Rhodometrini + Timandrini and Rhodostrophiini + Cyllopodini + Sterrhini + Scopulini. Aletini and Problepsini lay within the concept of Scopulini. The association of the included Larentiinae taxa with the Cosymbiini + Rhodometrini + Timandrini lineage questions the monophyly of Sterrhinae. A majority of the recovered synapomorphic characters had been recognized previously, but several new phylogenetically informative characters were found, especially from the thorax. No unique characters diagnosing the tribe Scopulini were found, but many homoplastic synapomorphic features were found which diagnose parts of it. All recognized Sterrhinae genera are assigned tentatively to tribes and problematic cases are discussed.  相似文献

 Sperm ultrastructure was studied in ten genera of the Porricondylinae (Cecidomyiidae). Sperm structure is remarkably simplified by the absence of the acrosome and the accessory tubules, as happens in all the cecidomyiid flies. All genera of the Porricondylinae show a peculiar 9+3 axonemal model except Diallactes, which retains the plesiomorphic condition of a 9+2 axoneme, and Winnertzia, which appears to have secondarily acquired a 9+0 model. A cladistic analysis of relevant sperm characters (based on the axonemal model, the number of mitochondrial derivatives and the size and structure of the centriolar adjunct) was performed to infer phylogenetic relationships among six tribes of the Porricondylinae. In this cladogram, the Porricondylini are the sister group to the Asynaptini, Heteropezini and Winnertzini and these four taxa form the sister group to the Dicerurini. Abstract A consensus cladogram is presented for ninety-seven of the ninety-nine (sub)species of the cicada subtribe Cosmopsaltriina on the basis of a cladistic analysis of forty-nine characters. The consensus cladogram confirms the monophyly of the eight genera constituting the subtribe, and the monophyly of the subtribe as a whole. Cosmopsaltriina occur in Sulawesi, the Moluccas, New Guinea, Cape York, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. The subtribe demonstrates a high rate of endemism on genus, species group and species level. The taxon-area and consensus-area cladograms resulting from Brooks parsimony analysis are discussed in relation to the palaeogeography of the area.  相似文献

Abstract— A cladistic analysis of the endemic South American family Tristiridae was performed using 29 characters from external morphology and the genitalia. Polarity of characters was based on the outgroup comparison method. One most parsimonious cladogram of 54 steps was obtained, from which a classification of the family Tristiridae was constructed. The analysis of phylogenetic relationships showed that the different kinds of characters define taxa at different levels in the cladogram. Those mostly from the phallic complex define suprageneric taxa while those from external morphology characterize genera. It is hypothesized that in Tristiridae differentiation of the phallic complex preceded differentiation of external morphology and that characters from the phallic complex arc less conservative than those from the external morphology.  相似文献

本文选取了裸藻类的33个属级分类单位,以及它们的35个性状,利用分支系统学的原理和方法,对性状的演化极性进行了分析,同时对性状间的极性关系进行了和谐性分析,使性状间极性关系处在较为合理的状态,然后建立了分支分析的数据矩阵。应用徐克学建立的“演化极端结合法”进行微机运算.得简约系数远小于1(o.2159)的分支谱系图。根据分支诺系图对裸藻类的系统发育关系进行了探讨,井与已有的关于裸藻类分类系统和演化假设进行了比较。在此基础上按照裸藻类的亲缘关系及单系原则,对裸藻类的分类等级进行了划分,初步提出了建立1门1纲5目的分类系统。按照在分支谱系中的演化地位,认为裸藻属的5个亚属,明显地都应是独立的属。同时对裸藻类的共生起源与演化的关系也进行了讨论。  相似文献

A new phylogenetic hypothesis for the living species of triplespine fishes of the Indo-Western Pacific family Triacanthidae (Tetraodontiformes, Teleostei) is proposed. A data set of 55 morphological characters (34 osteological and 21 morphometric) was constructed. A cladistic analysis of the osteological data set yielded a single most-parsimonious tree. This cladogram does not support the monophyly of one of the four genera, Tripodichthys , but Bremer values for this analysis are low. The osteological data set was then combined with a data set of 21 morphometric characters that had previously been used to diagnose the four genera. The analysis of the combined data set produced the same phylogenetic hypothesis, but with greater nodal support. The biogeographical distribution of the living species is then interpreted with the use of this new phylogenetic information.  相似文献

The phylogenetic relationships of the Taenogera genus-group, consisting of nine genera, are examined using cladistic methods. Twenty-one species representing nine genera and one outgroup were compared in a cladistic analysis across 99 states in 44 characters. The genus Taenogera Kröber is revised to contain only T. longa (Schiner), T. nitida (Macquart) and T. notatithorax Mann. Two new genera are described and figured: Actenomeros gen. n., with two species, A. corniculaticaudus sp. n. and A. onyx sp. n.; and Taenogerella gen. n., with four species, Ta. elizabethae sp. n., Ta. platina sp. n., Ta. schlingeri sp. n. and Ta . nigrapicalis (Mann) comb. n. 对螟黄足盘绒茧蜂复合群Cotesia flavipes complex (膜翅目:茧蜂科:小腹茧蜂亚科)分布全世界的5个种和外群侧沟茧蜂Microplitis 及荻茧蜂Diolcogaster 的25个性状,以及复合群5个种和外群螟蛉盘绒茧蜂Cotesia ruficrus、粘虫盘绒茧蜂Cotesia kariyai、粉蝶盘绒茧蜂Cotesia glomerata 的24个性状,分别进行比较研究,并运用支序分析的方法探讨该复合群内5个种种间的系统发育关系。支序分析表明螟黄足盘绒茧蜂复合群是一单系群,二化螟盘绒茧蜂C. chilonis 和大螟盘绒茧蜂C. sesamiae 近缘,芦螟盘绒茧蜂C. chiloluteelli 和汉寿盘绒茧蜂C. hanshouensis 近缘,螟黄足盘绒茧蜂C. flavipes相对独立。 以上研究表明无论是以近缘属作外群还是以同属其它种作外群,所得结果基本上都能反映螟黄足盘绒茧蜂复合群各种之间的分类地位。  相似文献

本文对鲴亚科Xenocyprinae共4属6种鱼和鲢亚科Hypophthal michthyinae的鲢、鳙Aristichihys nobilis进行了骨骼系统的研究,并对鲴亚科的6种鱼同工酶谱型,进行了分析比较。鲢亚科虽然具有鲴亚科的共同祖征和全部离征,但因其有较多的特化性状,仍将其列为和鲴亚科并列的一个亚科。应用分支系统学原理推导出鲴亚科的系统发育图。鲴亚科6种鱼的肝、肾、心、眼的晶状体、鳍、脑,肌肉等7种组织5种同工酶(LDH,MDH,ES,ADH,G6PDH)的电泳分析表明,生化分类和经典分类结果完全一致。  相似文献

Abstract. The higher classification of Tenebrionidae is analysed using numerical phenetic, numerical cladistic and traditional Hennigian methods. In all, eighty characters are examined for about 335 taxa; definitive analyses are made on combinations of eighteen to seventy characters for thirty-three OTUs. At lower levels of relationship (genera and closely related tribes) phenetic and cladistic classifications are shown to be congruent, but at higher levels (tribes and subfamilies) there is marked discordance with phenetic results being more stable. A consensus classification is more similar to the Hennigian cladogram than is any single computer generated cladogram. Two main tribal groups – the Lagrioid and Tenebrionoid groups – are suggested which differ in defensive glands, female anatomy, wing and mouthpart morphology, larval characters and other features. The Tenebrionoid group consists of three main subdivisions – the tenebrionine, coelometopine and diaperine lineages. Changes in classificatory position are recommended for eighty-seven genera and tribes (listed in Appendix E) and implied for numerous others.  相似文献

The phylogenetic relationships of the genera in the geometrid tribe Scopulini (Lepidoptera: Sterrhinae) were examined using 141 characters of adult morphology and ecology. The study material included 92 species, representing all previously recognized genera and covering the morphological variation and full geographical range of the tribe. The cladistic analysis resulted in 20 equally parsimonious trees and a strict consensus cladogram based on these was well resolved. A majority of the recovered synapomorphic characters have been used previously in the taxonomy of the tribe. However, many novel characters were found in the sclerotized structures of the thorax. Many previously recognized genera were found to be nonmonophyletic and based on the present revised, synapomorphy-based classification, the number of recovered genera is reduced considerably. Twenty new generic synonyms and 90 new or revived species combinations are proposed. Seven genera are considered valid, with the large genus Scopula Schrank including over 85% of all species in the tribe. The taxonomic history of the tribe is reviewed and the problems of earlier classifications are discussed. A key to the genera is presented, although an informal diagnosis is preferred. A manual cladistic analysis of the unnamed monophyletic taxon Alpheoidea plus Crangonoidea produced a cladogram containing 36 terminal taxa and 185 characters. The genealogical relationships of most of the 35 genera presently classified under the Hippolytidae have been resolved. Ten of these genera have been transferred, with the Processidae, from the Alpheoidea to the Crangonoidea. The concept of the Hippolytidae Bate, 1888 has been considerably restricted, the available names Lysmatidae Dana, 1852, Thoridae Kingsley, 1878, Hippolytinae Bate, 1888, and Latreutinae Ortmann, 1896 have been invalidated, and the new, family group names Barbouridae, Nauticarididae, Alopidae, and Bythocarididae are proposed. The traditional practice of naming monotypic taxa of suprageneric level has been avoided, yet all genealogical information indicated in the cladogram can be retrieved from the final classification proposed here for the Crangonoidea and Alpheoidea.  相似文献

By means of a comparative analysis of 12 morphological and behavioural characters, the timaliine genus Trichastoma and its relatives in the tribe Pellorneini are revised to reflect new understanding of inter- and intrageneric relationships (cf. Mann et al. 1978). Trichastoma as constituted by Deignan (1964) is here subdivided into three unambiguously monophyletic genera, the Malayan Trichastoma and Malacocincla , and the African Illadopsis.
Evidence is presented indicating that the reconstituted Trichastoma should be considered the stem genus for the tribe. Reviewing the distribution of morphological and behavioural characters, the general implication is that the African forms share a recent common ancestor with those from Asia. Distributional data support the contention that the group originated in the Malayan region and colonized westward through southern Asia and Arabia to Africa (probably in early Quaternary) when humid and warm conditions fostered a continuous Afro-Asian corridor of tropical wooded habitats. The postulated greater age of the pellorneine assemblage in Malaysia, along with the region's insular geography, has fostered a larger species radiation than that in continental Africa. Recent desiccation of Arabia and central and northwestern India probably caused widespread regional extinction of linking forms and has isolated the Pellorneini into two humid forest refuges in equatorial Africa and eastern Asia.  相似文献
