Abstract. Spatial data can provide much information about the interrelations of plants and the relationship between individuals and the environment. Spatially ambiguous plants, i.e. plants without readily identifiable loci, and plants that are profusely abundant, present non‐trivial impediments to the collection and analysis of vegetation data derived from standard spatial sampling techniques. Sampling with grids of presence/absence quadrats can ameliorate much of this difficulty. Our analysis of 10 fully‐mapped grassland plots demonstrates the applicability of the grid‐based approach which revealed spatial dependence at a much lower sampling effort than mapping each plant. Ripley's K‐function, a test commonly used for point patterns, was effective for pattern analysis on the grids and the gridded quadrat technique was an effective tool for quantifying spatial patterns. The addition of spatial pattern measures should allow for better comparisons of vegetation structure between sites, instead of sole reliance on species composition data.  相似文献

Abstract

Life history theory predicts that the patterns of resource allocation in animals are associated with different strategies, selected in the course of evolution. In the present study, the life history of Leptinaria unilamellata was characterized under laboratory conditions. We determined the growth, reproduction, and longevity patterns of this species and elucidated the strategy related to the development of embryos, through direct observations and examination of the morphology of the gravid uterus. Furthermore, we attempted to analyze the glycogen and galactogen contents of the albumen gland, digestive gland and cephalopedal mass in order to understand energy allocation to life history traits, for three life stages. Leptinaria unilamellata's life history is characterized by great longevity, a short juvenile phase, early sexual maturity, and repeated reproductive events, with little reproductive effort at each event and some mortality shortly after the first reproduction. In the terraria, we found juveniles but no eggs. However, the results of the anatomical study showed no morphological connection between the embryos and the parental organism. Thus, this species should be described as ovoviviparous rather than viviparous. Egg retention in the parent organism is the primary cause of the release of juveniles, instead of eggs, enabling the offspring to withstand environmental stress. The higher quantity of galactogen found in the adults' albumen gland, as compared to juveniles and senescent individuals, as well as the ratio of glycogen to galactogen, reveal the allocation of energy to reproduction rather than to growth. The remaining energy is directed to the maintenance of omeostasis. Such pattern was confirmed by the low levels of glycogen and galactogen observed in the senescent stage, compared to the juvenile and adult stages. In the life strategy of L. unilamellata, the distribution of the reproductive effort among many events associated with ovoviviparity indicates a long-term investment in reproductive success.  相似文献

Studying the spatial pattern of insect pests and the temporal stability of their patterns is important in understanding underlying ecological mechanisms and in developing pest management programs in cultivated crop systems. To elucidate the spatio-temporal pattern of the black rice bug, Scotinophara lurida, in rice fields, samplings were conducted in two rice fields over 2 years. Using spatial analysis by distance indices, the spatial pattern of each developmental stage of S. lurida and their temporal stability of the spatial pattern were identified. Most of the I a (the index of aggregation) values for overwintered adults and eggs of S. lurda were close to 1, indicating random distribution pattern while nymphs and new adults mainly had I a values >1, indicating an aggregated distribution pattern. According to spatial association analysis between successive samples using X (the index of spatial association), the spatial pattern of S. lurida showed strong temporal stability throughout the season. Also, there was strong association between the spatial patterns of developmental stages, indicating the great effect of the spatial pattern of the previous developmental stage on that of later developmental stage. Factors influencing the spatial pattern and spatial stability of S. lurida are discussed.  相似文献

森林景观是区域整体景观的重要组成部分,研究其空间分布格局对于优化区域景观整体结构和发挥生态经济效益具有重要意义。基于庐山2010年植被斑块数据,将森林景观划分为常绿阔叶林、落叶阔叶林、松类、杉类和竹类等5类景观,从森林景观的不同发育阶段和林分类型角度出发,运用点格局分析法分析5类森林景观空间分布格局特征。最邻近距离分析表明:5类森林景观空间分布类型均服从集聚分布但聚集强弱有变化;不同发育阶段的森林景观空间分布类型以集聚分布为主,随机分布为辅,尤其幼龄林比较显著,中龄林和老龄林次之;5类森林景观的天然林均服从集聚分布,人工林大多趋于随机分布,只有松类和杉类呈显著集聚分布。Ripley's K函数揭示了不同发育阶段和林分类型的森林景观的多尺度集聚特征,即在小尺度范围内服从随机分布,随着空间距离的增大,以空间特征尺度为分界线,空间聚集强度先逐渐增强,随后不断减弱。总体来看,庐山森林景观的发育阶段主要处于幼年时期,原始植被遭到人类大肆破坏,幼龄林大片分布,属于典型的恢复性植被,未来要重点保护好天然林,减少人为干扰,实现森林景观适度集聚。研究庐山森林景观的空间分布和多尺度特征可以为生态环境保护和实现森林可持续经营提供理论指导。  相似文献

The architectural development ofViburnum dilatatum andV. wrightii was investigated quantitatively. In both species, the major axis is developed from terminal buds of vegetative shoots and from axillary buds on the most distal nodes of reproductive shoots. The architecture of the two species is formed mainly by four branching patterns: a monopodial pattern (M), a sympodial pattern producing a pair of opposite daughter shoots (SP), a sympodial pattern producing a single daughter shoot (SS), and a pattern terminated with a dormant or dead bud (D). In the process of the architecture formation, four successive stages are recognized: 1) height growth, where the M pattern is dominant; 2) crown formation, in addition to the M pattern, the SP pattern occurs frequently; 3) crown expansion, the M and SP patterns are also frequent; 4) over mature, the M pattern becomes dominant again. These four stages are common to the two species, butViburnum wrightii proceeds with the crown formation stage more rapidly and stays in the crown expansion stage for a longer time thanV. dilatatum. The crown ofViburnum wrightii is thus more branched than that ofV. dilatatum.  相似文献

Availability of food and habitat complexity are two factors generally invoked to explain the high density of fish in vegetated habitats. The role of food resources (zooplankton) and habitat complexity (expressed by a vegetation structural index) in determining juvenile fish abundance and fish species richness in three morphologically contrasted macrophyte types (Sagittaria, Ceratophyllum and Nuphar) was studied for a large, lowland river.
Our results showed that fish abundance increased with food availability, and was maximal for intermediate values of vegetation complexity. Food resources and vegetation complexity did not, however, explain the higher juvenile fish abundance observed in Sagittaria beds. We suggested that plant growth form, acting on fish foraging success and risk of predation, might influence patterns of juvenile fish distribution.
Species‐abundance relationships were similar among the three macrophyte types, but relationships between number of fish species (fish richness) and number of samples differed. Fish richness in terms of total number of fish species found at each sampling point showed the same pattern as for fish abundance: it increased with food availability and was highest at intermediate vegetation complexities. However, since both fish abundance and fish richness responded in the same manner to food availability and vegetation complexity, we were not able to distinguish statistically any effect for the specific fish richness formulated by the number of fish species per unit fish abundance. The current paradigm that structural complexity of vegetation provides a wider range of niches, increasing species diversity, was thus not verified. This finding indicates a simple species‐abundance relationship (the passive sampling hypothesis), and suggests that no special mechanism acts directly on fish species richness.  相似文献

Comparisons of variations of morphological features, treated quantitatively, of the megagametophytic stages in Cornus asperifolia Michaux., C. stricta Lam., C. amomum Miller, C. florida L., and C. alternifolia L. suggest differences in growth patterns of their megagametophytes. The successful application of the clearing fluid 41/2 (Herr Fluid) affords adequate data for assessment of quantitative features of such minute plants. This method, less time consuming than traditional paraffin sectioning techniques, allows for statistical treatment of a sufficient number of species for valid inferences of angiospermous embryological features. An investigation of megagametophytic size was directed both to successive stages within each species and to each stage among all five species. In both instances, means, confidence intervals (CI), and growth increments (GI) were compared. Without exception, the largest means for length and width occurred in the 8-nucleate stage for all species. The greatest GI for length occurred in the 8-nucleate stage for C. stricta, C. alternifolia, and C. asperifolia and in the 4-nucleate stage for C. florida. The 4- and 8-nucleate GI were nearly equal for C. amomum. Overlapping of 95 % CI between successive stages indicated uniform growth between stages for the megagametophyte. Only C. asperifolia had CI overlapping between all successive stages for length and width. These five species are clearly separated on the basis not only of variations in qualitative features but also on megagametophytic growth patterns among species.  相似文献

Three plots representing two stages of old-field succession and the climax were selected in each of three vegetation types in Oklahoma: oak-pine forest, post oak-blackjack oak forest, and tall grass prairie. Soil samples from the 0–15 and 45–60 cm levels were analyzed every other month for 1 yr for exchangeable ammonium nitrogen and for nitrate. On alternate months numbers of Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter were determined in the 0–15 cm level. The amount of ammonium nitrogen was lowest in the first successional stage, intermediate in the second successional stage, and highest in the climax stand. This trend was remarkably consistent throughout all sampling periods, all vegetation types, and both sampling levels in the soil. The amount of nitrate was highest in the first successional stage, intermediate in the second successional stage, and lowest in the climax stand in both sampling levels, all vegetation types, and virtually all sampling periods. The numbers of nitrifiers were high in the first successional stage, generally, and decreased to a very low level in the climax. In fact, there was often no Nitrobacter in the climax stands. These results indicate that the nitrifiers are inhibited in the climax so that ammonium nitrogen is not oxidized to nitrate as readily in the climax as in the successional stages. Evidence from other geographic areas and vegetation types strongly supports this conclusion. This would certainly appear to be a logical trend in the evolution of ecosystems because of the increased conservation of nitrogen and energy. The ammonium ion is positively charged and is adsorbed on the negatively charged colloidal micelles, thus preventing leaching below the depth of rooting. On the other hand, nitrate ions are negatively charged, are repelled by the colloidal micelles in the soil, and thus readily leach below the depth of rooting or are washed away in surface drainage. There is growing evidence also that many plant species can use ammonium nitrogen as effectively or more so than nitrate nitrogen. If ammonium nitrogen is used directly, this eliminates four chemical steps because nitrogen which is oxidized to nitrite and then to nitrate must be reduced back to nitrite and then to ammonium nitrogen before it can react with keto-acids in the formation of amino acids. We studied patterns of small mammal abundance and species richness in post-fire habitats by sampling 33 plots (225 m2 each) representing different stages of vegetation recovery after fire. Small mammal abundance was estimated by live trapping during early spring 1999 and vegetation structure was sampled by visual estimation at the same plots. Recently–burnt areas were characterised by shrubby and herbaceous vegetation with low structural variability, and unburnt areas were characterised by well developed forest cover with high structural complexity. Small mammal abundance and species richness decreased with time elapsed since the last fire (from 5 to at least 50 years), and these differences were associated to the decreasing cover of short shrubs as the post-fire succession of plant communities advanced. However, relationships between vegetation structure and small mammals differed among areas burned in different times, with weak or negative relationship in recently burnt areas and positive and stronger relationship in unburnt areas. Furthermore, the abundance of small mammals was larger than expected from vegetation structure in plots burned recently whereas the contrary pattern was found in unburned areas. We hypothesised that the pattern observed could be related to the responses of small mammal predators to changes in vegetation and landscape structure promoted by fire. Fire-related fragmentation could have promoted the isolation of forest predators (owls and carnivores) in unburned forest patches, a fact that could have produced a higher predation pressure for small mammals. Conversely, small mammal populations would have been enhanced in early post-fire stages by lower predator numbers combined with better predator protection in areas covered by resprouting woody vegetation.  相似文献

Plant species diversity has been recognized as one of the vital attributes for assessing vegetation restoration. Changes in the diversity may be related to different stages of succession. In this study, 54 sites of humid, evergreen, broad-leaved forest were selected in the Rainy Zone of West China. A chronosequence of the sites was used to study the successive patterns of the diversity in the forest that had undergone natural regeneration for 5 to 350 years and to test the hypothesis that the diversity is maximized in mid-succession. Data were collected simultaneously at different stages of succession, and four α-diversity indices (species richness, Margalef index, Shannon-Wiener index, Pielou Evenness index) and two β-diversity indices (Whittaker index, Sørensen’s index) were calculated for each stratum in each plot. A total of 394 vascular plant species were recorded. From the β-diversity indices, the forest succession may be divided into the early-successional stage (before 50 years), mid-successional stage (from 50 to 300 years), and late-successional stage (after 300 years). In this community, the species diversity and richness were found to be the greatest at the mid-successional stage, followed by the late- and early-successional stages. The results of regression analysis indicated that the richness and Margalef index peaked around the 175th and 165th year, respectively. Shannon-Wiener index values also appeared to follow an approximately humped pattern of succession and were maximal around the 100th year. However, the species evenness did not show any significant relationship with successional age. Our results demonstrate (1) forest restoration is a long-term process and the formation of climax forest requires at least 300 years and (2) the forest has a strong capacity for restoration. Our results also suggest Lindera limprichitii and Machilus pingii as ideal tree species for afforestation because of their wide niche.  相似文献

All-occurrence recording is generally thought to yield unbiased results. However, its accuracy and power to detect real effects may depend on the temporal patterning of the observation periods. Although several studies evaluated the suitability of time-sampling methods (one-zero and instantaneous sampling), there has not been an evaluation of various temporal patterns of the ‘all-occurrence’ method to date. Here we present an empirical comparison of time-sampling and all-occurrence recording methods, based on a large data set, with special reference to various temporal patterns of all-occurrence recording. The three different sampling methods were imposed on raw data protocols. The scores, obtained by the use of each method and temporal pattern, were compared with true values from the corresponding continuous video recordings. The accuracy and power of each method was estimated by comparison of medians and magnitudes of effect (rm), respectively. We were able to confirm results of earlier studies on the suitability of time-sampling methods (one-zero and instantaneous sampling), but we found that different temporal patterns of all-occurrence sampling yielded magnitudes of effect that differed from true value magnitudes. We conclude that behavioural studies may reveal different results, even when all conditions are the same, only because of power differences of different temporal pattern of the observation periods, for example 1 × 15 min versus 15 × 1 min. Recommendations are made about appropriate application of methods.  相似文献

The longitudinal patterns of the macroinvertebrate community in the Xiangxi Bay of the Three Gorges Reservoir (TGR) were investigated during the second (2nd) and third (3rd) impoundment stages (October 2006–July 2010), to test the effects of increased water level fluctuations (WLF) on the macroinvertebrates. By comparing to the former reports of the first (1st) impoundment stage (inter‐annual WLF 4 m), we found that oligochaetes dominated in three different stages in the Xiangxi Bay. However, the total abundance of macroinvertebrates showed a dramatical decline from the 1st to 2nd stage (inter‐annual WLF 11 m), but changed slightly from the 2nd to 3rd stage (inter‐annual WLF 30 m). This indicated that higher WLF in the 2nd stage had already greatly reduced the macroinvertebrates abundance, thereby the disturbance in the 3rd stage could only slightly affect the already reduced abundance. Three longitudinal zones (the mainstream zone, the lacustrine zone and the transitional zone) were found based on the macroinvertebrate density, biomass, and taxa richness, combined with the geographical location of each site. Significant differences in density and biomass of macroinvertebrate were found among different zones (P < 0.05), yet no significant difference was found in taxa richness (P > 0.05). Two‐way indicator species analysis showed that the community type in most sites varied in different seasons from the 2nd stage, exhibiting a dynamic zonation pattern, which differed with the stable pattern of the 1st stage. 针对典型黄土丘陵沟壑区陕西延安羊圈沟小流域坡面上单一刺槐林、单一撂荒草地以及林草搭配的草地-林地-草地及林地-草地-林地4种不同植被格局,利用磷脂脂肪酸(phospholipid fatty acid,PLFA)谱图分析法对土壤微生物群落结构进行监测研究,旨在揭示坡面上不同的植被恢复格局对土壤微生物群落结构的影响。研究发现4种不同植被格局下,2种林草搭配的植被格局磷脂脂肪酸的结构比较相似,与单一植被格局相比,表层土壤中表征真菌的特征脂肪酸所占的比例有所提高。主成分分析显示4种植被格局0—10 cm土壤微生物群落结构存在差异,差异主要存在于2种林草搭配的植被格局与2种单一的植被格局之间,其中草地-林地-草地的植被格局与刺槐林和撂荒草地之间土壤微生物群落结构的差异均达到了显著水平。不同微生物菌群的量在4种植被格局土壤间显著性差异主要存在于表层土壤中的细菌菌群和革兰氏阳性菌,革兰氏阴性菌和真菌在4种植被格局土壤之间无显著差异。总之,4种不同植被恢复格局的土壤微生物群落结构存在差异且差异主要存在于表层土壤,坡面上人工林的种植及林草搭配的恢复模式较直接撂荒更有利于提高微生物菌群的生物量。  相似文献

Questions: 1. What is the scale and extent of spatial variability in factors affecting Betula invasion of heaths? 2. How much effect does each factor have on within‐patch patterns of invasion? 3. How can this understanding aid in managing Betula invasions? Location: Lowland heath of southern England. Methods: Determinants of Betula (both B. pubescens and B. pendula) invasion: biomass density, necromass density, mean vegetation height, P‐availability, soil water content and total Betula seed bank density, were measured at two sites on a 5‐ha sampling grid. Spatial pattern was assessed using geostatistics. Contributions of each determinant to within‐site heterogeneity in predicted Betula seedling densities were estimated by varying variables over their full and interquartile ranges in a statistical model derived from experimental data. Results: Salient spatial trends were revealed: strong autocorrelation over distances of < 50 m for soil factors and more extensive autocorrelation (0 to > 150 m) in vegetation variables and Betula seed bank densities. The latter resulted in single across‐site gradients, the former small, distinct patches. All patterns were overlain with variance that was present at distances of < 17.6 m. Variables displaying spatial pattern also accounted for within‐site heterogeneity in predicted Betula seedling densities but their relative contribution to this varied between sites. Conclusions: Identifiable spatial autocorrelation in factors controlling patch‐scale invasion patterns allows managers to target invasion prone patches, potentially reducing management intensities. Furthermore, management effort may be optimised by spatially de‐coupling Betula seed from safe‐sites. This plan may adaptable to the management of other weeds and open‐land ecosystems.  相似文献

The oviposition behaviour ofCoelocephalapion aculeatum Fall (Coleoptera: Apionidae), a host specific florivore exploiting an ephemeral resource, was studied in relation to host development. Immature inflorescences of its host, the weedMimosa pigra L. (Mimosaceae), were categorised into 5 developmental stages ranging from first appearance to one day before opening. The duration, weight, percent abortion, and nitrogen content of each stage were measured. Oviposition preferences ofC. aculeatum for all inflorescence stages were determined in multiple choice trials. Newly hatched, larvae were transferred into inflorescences of each stage to determine larval survival as a function of stage. Numbers of eggs laid into inflorescences generally correlated with larval survival except that oviposition was greater in stage 4 inflorescences than expected from the larval survival. Numbers of eggs laid into inflorescences generally correlated with their carrying capacity except that adults avoided stage 5 inflorescences in which larval survival was low. The evolution of oviposition preferences ofC. aculeatum appears to have been influenced by two opposing selective forces. The need to complete development before the inflorescence deteriorated would have selected for oviposition in young inflorescences. The greater availability of food and lower probability of abortion offered by older inflorescences would have selected for oviposition in these. The net outcome of these pressures has resulted in the observed oviposition strategy.  相似文献

竞争是形成特定群落结构、构成分布格局的基本驱动力之一,树种的空间分布和大小并不是相互独立的,而是广泛受到竞争过程影响。在大兴安岭设置一块具有代表性的天然次生林恢复样地,采用点格局分析中的最近邻体距离Gr)函数、双关联函数gr)和基于个体胸径标记的点格局分析方法同时结合4种点格局零模型(完全随机模型、均值托马斯模型、随机标签模型、先决条件零模型)研究分析大兴安岭次生林区优势种落叶松不同生活史阶段的分布格局、关联性及竞争作用。研究结果显示:落叶松不同发育阶段分布格局不同、同一发育阶段不同研究尺度分布格局也不同;落叶松种群内存在潜在的竞争、且竞争作用与龄级和研究尺度有关;落叶松幼龄个体在小尺度(r<5m)下的聚集分布是由扩散限制作用和竞争作用所导致;落叶松种群内成龄与幼龄个体间有较强的正关联性、成龄个体对幼龄个体在小尺度下有明显的庇护作用;标记点格局分析方法在检测植物群落中的竞争作用时敏感性较高。  相似文献

Massive digitization of natural history collections (NHC) has opened the door for researchers to conduct inferential studies on the collection of biological diversity across space and time. The widespread use of NHCs in scientific research makes it essential to characterize potential sources of spatial bias. In this study, we assessed spatial patterns in records from the Australian Virtual Herbarium (AVH), based on >3 000 000 vouchered specimens of around 21 000 native plant species. The AVH is the main database for describing Australia's flora, and identifying its limitations is of paramount interest for the validity of conservation and environmental studies. We characterized how sampling effort is distributed across each Interim Bioregion of Australia (IBRA), then asked: (i) How complete are species inventories for each bioregion? We define completeness (C) as the ratio of observed to estimated species richness, using the Chao 1 estimator, (ii) How is sampling effort related to a commonly used Human Influence Index (HII)? and (iii) What is the probability that additional collections would result in the identification of previously unrecorded species in each bioregion? Sampling effort across bioregions is unequal, which partially reflects the collecting behaviour of naturalists in relation to species richness patterns. The density of records in bioregions ranges from 0.02–8.37 km?2. At the bioregional scale, completeness is generally high with 79% of bioregions estimated to have records for at least 80% of their species. Completeness is partly explained by sampling effort (r = 0.43, p = 0.01), although some bioregions (e.g. Northern Kimberley and Burt Plain) have high completeness yet relatively low sampling effort. The inventory of Hampton, however, is substantially less complete than other bioregions (C = 0.66). Bioregions with high HII consistently have high completeness, while regions with low HII span the full range of completeness values. We calculated that an additional specimen collected from a bioregion has a 0.33% (Wet Tropics) to 11.7% (Arnhem Coast) probability of representing a new species for that region. Our assessment can assist with directing future systematic survey efforts by identifying bioregions where additional surveying may result in the greatest return, in terms of increasing knowledge of species richness and diversity.  相似文献

为揭示3种四照花的苗期生长规律,对1a生大花四照花(Cornusflorida)、香港四照花(C.hongkongensis)和东京四照花(C. hongkongensis subsp. tonkinensis)幼苗的年生长节律进行了观测分析。结果表明,根据拟合的Logistic方程生长模型(R~20.98,P 0.01),可将3种四照花苗期的苗高和地径年生长进程划分为生长初期、生长盛期、生长后期3个时期。其中,生长盛期的苗高和地径的生长量分别占全年的55.23%~59.06%和59.46%~60.71%。大花四照花的年生长积累均大于2种东亚类常绿四照花,而香港四照花和东京四照花的苗高和地径生长相似;大花四照花的生长初期和生长盛期的启动时间早于2种东亚类四照花,但持续时间最短。3种1 a生四照花的苗高和地径生长呈现出"慢-快-慢"的生长节律,符合"S"型生长曲线;且地径和苗高呈现出异速生长现象。这为四照花栽培推广、引种驯化提供了理论依据。  相似文献

Diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) was assessed in two 9.2 × 9.2-m plots planted with landscape trees and shrubs at an experimental site in Phoenix, AZ, USA. Twenty-five soil samples were collected in a regular grid pattern from each plot, and AMF species were identified using trap cultures. A total of 12 species were detected, with 7 species detected in one plot and 11 in the other. We found that sampling effort had a major impact on assessing species richness and composition in this local community. Fifteen samples would be necessary to detect 70–80% of species present in each plot. A limited number of additional undetected species are likely to be present in both plots, based on the sampling effort curves and jackknife estimates. Only two species, Glomus eburneum and Glomus microaggregatum, were detected in over 50% of the samples from both plots, and rank–frequency plots revealed a lognormal species distribution. Despite the patchiness of plants in the plots, the number of species detected per point exhibited spatial structuring only at the smallest sampling scale in a single plot, and only a single species in each plot was not randomly distributed. These results indicate that sampling effort and strategy can affect perceptions of AMF community structure.  相似文献

The geographic distribution of Amblyomma americanum (the lone star tick) has increased as has its role as a pathogen vector. The objectives of this study were to determine seasonal activity patterns of each life stage of A. americanum in the northwestern part of the species range and the relationship of these activity patterns among life stages and degree days. Tick activity was monitored over four years since 2007 in a forest and old field habitat located in northeast Missouri. Every other week from February to December, ticks were collected using bait and drag methods. Autocorrelations demonstrated yearly seasonal patterns in each life stage and cross‐correlations between life stages depicted a relationship between activity at a life stage and the previous stage's activity. Cross‐correlations indicated that degree days were related to activity. These data indicated that A. americanum generally complete their life cycle in a minimum of two years in northeast Missouri, with overwintering occurring predominantly in the nymphal and adult stages. These data provide a baseline to compare the life cycle of A. americanum in northeast Missouri to populations in different parts of the species range or at different times in the region.  相似文献
