海南省蚋属一新种(双翅目：蚋科)

记述采自海南省尖峰蚋属蚋亚属Simulium(Simulium)一新种,乐东蚋Simulium(Simulium)ledongense sp.nov.。新种隶属多叉蚋组Simulium multistriatum-group,与秦氏蚋Simulium qiniCao et al.,1993和鞍阳蚋Simulium dphippiodum Chen and Wen,1999近缘。对其各虫期形态进行描述并与其近缘种比较作分类讨论。模式标本保存于遗阳医学院生物学教研室。     

西藏蚋属一新种（双翅目：蚋科）

记述西藏自治区蚋属Simulium蚋亚属Simulium 1新种,以陈汉彬教授的名命名为汉彬蚋Simulium(Simulium) hanbini sp. nov.。该新种与Simulium (Simulium) jingfui Cai & An, 2008及Simulium (Simulium)liubaense Liu & An, 2009相似,但该蚋爪无基齿,拉氏器较长,食窦的形状也不同。模式标本保存在北京军事医学科学院医学昆虫标本馆。     

四川蚋属二新种记述(双翅目,蚋科)

记述了采自四川省泸定县的蚋属蚋亚属2新种,尖板蚋Simulium(Simulium)acontum sp.nov.和矛板蚋Simulium(Simulium)lonchatum sp.nov.前者隶属于淡足蚋组malyschevi-group,后者隶属于杂色蚋组variegatumgroup,二者均以雄虫生殖腹板的形态特征命名.模式标本存放于贵阳医学院生物学教研室.

本文记述采自贵州雷公山的蚋属一新种 ,以产地命名为黔蚋Simulium (Simulium )qianensesp .nov。新种隶属于杂色蚋组S .variegatumspecies group ,与台湾蚋S .taiwanicum最近似 ,但可依其特殊的盾饰、足的颜色、雄尾中骨端裂和幼虫后颊裂深并在后腹部具附骨等特征与其他近缘种相区别。模式标本存放于贵阳医学院生物教研室。

本文报道云南省蚋科一新种：谭氏梯蚋Ｔｉａｎｏｐｔｅｒｙｘ ｔａｎａｅ ｓｐ．ｎｏｖ．。标本采自大理市郊一小溪中。新种雄虫的生殖腹板和雌虫的生殖叉突较近似于斯里兰卡的Ｓｉｍｕｌｉｕｍ（Ｂｙｓｓｏｄｏｎ）ｌａｎｇｕｉｄｕｍ Ｄａｖｉｅｓ ｅｔＧｙｏｒｋｏｓ,但其他特征有明显的不同。

四川省山蚋亚属一新种记述(双翅目,蚋科)

继作者于2005年首次发现并记述四川省山蚋亚属二新种之后,报道四川省山蚋亚属另1新种,Simulium (Montisimulium)jiajinshanense sp.nov.(夹金山山蚋).本新种与报告自中国的S.(M.)tibetense Deng et al.,1993(西藏山蚋)and S.(M.)moxiense Chen et al.,2005(磨西山蚋),阿塞拜疆的S.(M.)assadovi(Djafarav,1956),亚美尼亚的S.(M.)litshkense(Rubtsov,1947),哈萨克斯坦的S.(M.)quattuordecimfiatliatum(Rubtsov,1947)和塔吉克斯坦的S.(M.)quattuordecimfilum Rubtsov,1947相似,均具14条呼吸丝,但新种可依据食窦弓具中突,两性生殖器的特殊形态,茧简单和呼吸丝特殊分枝等综合特征和上述近缘种相区别.     

Two new species of Simulium (Gomphostilbia) (Diptera, Simuliidae) from Peninsular Malaysia, with keys to Peninsular Malaysian members of the Simulium ceylonicum species-group

Two new species of black flies, Simulium (Gomphostilbia) roslihashimisp. n. and Simulium (Gomphostilbia) lurauensesp. n., are described on the basis of reared adult, pupal and larval specimens collected from Peninsular Malaysia. These two new species are placed in the ceylonicum species-group within the subgenus Gomphostilbia. Simulium (Gomphostilbia) roslihashimisp. n. is most distinctive with the male having almost entirely yellow antennae, and Simulium (Gomphostilbia) lurauensesp. n. is characterized in the female by having the elongate sensory vesicle and the yellowish-white hairs on the base of the costal vein and on the stem vein, in the male by the greater number of large upper-eye facets and the spindle-shaped hind basitarsi which are much narrower than the hind tibiae and femora and in the pupa by the small terminal hooks. Keys to species of the ceylonicum species-group reported from Peninsular Malaysia are provided for females, males, pupae and mature larvae.     

A new species of the Simulium damnosum complex from Uganda, and comparative morphology of the tarsal claws in females of this complex

The female, male, pupa and larva of Simulium (Edwardsellum) pandanophilum sp. nov. (Diptera: Simuliidae) from western Uganda are described. Diagnostic features are the shape of the tarsal claws of females and, cytogenetically, new intraspecific inversions on chromosomes I and II. Simulium pandanophilum is assigned to the Simulium damnosum complex. Different tarsal claw shapes of West African members of the S. damnosum complex are also described.     

Simulium (Psilopelmia) virescens, a new black-fly species (Diptera: Simuliidae) from the southwestern region of the state of Bahia, Brazil

The last-instar larva, pupa, male and female of Simulium virescens sp. nov. are described and illustrated. This species has a peculiar larva, which has an elongated head capsule and light-green colour. The first thoracic segment has tubercle on its dorsal region and the third thoracic segment has one pair of tubercles; the first to the fourth abdominal segments have one pair of tubercles on each segment. Until now this new species had only been collected at the type locality, which is on the middle stretch of the Correntina River in the southwestern portion of the state of Bahia, Brazil. Females were voraciously biting humans during the field work. This new species represents the second species of Simulium (Psilopelmia) in Brazil and the first registered outside of the Brazilian Amazon Region.
