In dogs with the electrodes implanted in the hippocampus, amygdala, septum and hypothalamus an instrumental alimentary conditioned reflex (CR) was elaborated to electrostimulation of the hippocampus. Intralimbic evoked potentials (EPs) were studied during the elaboration and extinction of this reflex and during stimulations of limbic structures conducted with the purpose of CR generalization checking. Late EP components in the lateral hypothalamus and central nucleus of the amygdala changed during CR elaboration and extinction and in the hippocampus during amygdala testing. In both cases the amplitude of trace positivity and of slow negative wave was less, when during stimulation of the structure an instrumental movement was initiated than at its absence.  相似文献

In experiments on three dogs there was shown that testing electrostimulation of the lateral hypothalamus reproduced the motor reaction which is a signal stimulus at elaboration of classic alimentary conditioned reflexes (CRs) and did not reproduce it at elaboration of classic defensive CR. Testing electrostimulation of medial parts of the hypothalamus reproduced, as LH electrostimulation the "signal" motor reaction, but in less percentage of cases, during elaboration of classic alimentary CRs and did not reproduce it at elaboration of classic defensive CRs. The reproduction of the signal motor reaction at LH electrostimulation is connected with activation of backward conditioned connection from motivation structures of the hypothalamus to representation of the signal stimulus in the motor cortex.  相似文献

The behavioral effect of electrical stimulation of the lateral hypothalamus with a current of equal parameters in chronic experiments on dogs depended on the signal significance of the surroundings. Stimulation of the lateral hypothalamus against the background of a defensive situational reflex in dogs which were in an experimental situation for the first time, far from evoking orientation to food and the act of feeding, enhanced the background fear reaction. After transformation of the defensive signal significance of the situation into an alimentary one, stimulation of the lateral hypothalamus began to activate the alimentary instrumental reflex and the act of feeding. However, at first the former was manifested irregularly. Combinations of stimulation of the lateral hypothalamus and achievement of the alimentary instrumental reflex with subsequent reinforcement stabilized and enhanced the alimentary instrumental reflex to the stimulation of the lateral hypothalamus.  相似文献

Paired heterogeneous stimulation of the lateral geniculate body (LGB) and pulvinar (Pulv) as a conditioned stimulus of alimentary instrumental conditioned reflex (CR), resulted in a change of relations between afferent inputs from LGB and Pulv to the visual and associative cortex of cats. At stimulation of LGB preceding by 40 ms, facilitation of the response to testing Pulv stimulation observed in untrained cats, appeared only at the beginning of the learning and was suppressed by the end of elaboration, when the amplitude of the response to the conditioning LGB stimulation greatly increased. In the process of CR elaboration (in the middle of learning), Pulv stimulation preceding by 40 ms facilitated the response to the testing LGB stimulation and simultaneously increased the amplitude of the response to the conditioning Pulv stimulation.  相似文献

In experiments on 3 dogs it was shown that instrumental defensive conditioned reflex (CR) to electrical stimulation of the hippocampus is generalized within the limbic system (LS). The rate of generalization depended on the place of testing stimuli in LS. Stimulation of the medial parts of LS at the stage of stabilized initial reflex did not produce the generalized CRs, while they appeared distinctly in response to stimulation of the lateral parts of LS. In the process of elaboration of heterogeneous CRs (defensive and alimentary) to electrical stimulation of the hippocampus, generalized conditioned reactions from some brain structures appeared in both situations to the same degree while from other structures--with considerable differences. These data point to a possible participation in the genesis of the generalized CRs both of signal and reinforcing brain mechanisms.  相似文献

Alimentary instrumental conditioned reflex (CR) was elaborated in dogs to light flashes (I series), electrostimulation (ES) of the hippocampus (II series) and the hypothalamus (III series). Nonreinforced ES of the hypothalamus, amygdala, hippocampus and septum reproduced pressings on the pedal to the least extent in the I series (17-40% of trials), increasing in the II-nd one up to 40-87% during stimulation of the lateral hypothalamus, medial amygdala and contralateral hippocampus. In the III-rd series the number of pressings increased statistically significantly in comparison with the I-st series for most structures. Probably, besides the artificial increase of motivation during ES of the limbic structures which took place in all series, in the II-nd and III-rd series significance for movement reproduction was acquired by CR generalization appearing due to close interconnection of the structures. In this phenomenon connections (evaluated by the EPs) from the tested structures to the initially signal one are important.  相似文献

In dogs with electrodes implanted into the brain, a defensive instrumental conditioned reflex (CR) was elaborated to light flashes, stimulation of the dorsal hippocampus (DH) and caudate nucleus (CN) stimulation. Reproducibility of the learned movement was tested for the contralateral DN, CN, nucleus accumbens (AN) and pallid globe (PG). In the second series the percent of the elicited movements was compared to EPs, appearing in response to signal and testing stimulation. The degree was elucidated of structures participation in motivational, signal and executive links of CR. Low degree of AN participation in the executive CR link (2-nd series) and a high degree of AN and PG participation in the signal link (3-d series) were shown. Thus, intrasystemic CR generalization was more effective than the intersystemic one.  相似文献

It has been shown that the effect of stimulation of the caudate nucleus head in the contralateral hemisphere differs at different stages of achievement of a defensive instrumental habit in dogs. Stimulation preceding the action of the conditioned signal or delivered simultaneously with the beginning of the latter did not change the criteria for the achievement of successive programs of the instrumental defensive reaction. Stimulation of the same areas in the last phase of the instrumental response, as a rule, lead to the cessation of instrumental movement. A conclusion has been drawn that in a defensive situation the inhibitory influence of the caudate nucleus on instrumental behaviour of intact dogs is not so sharply expressed as in experiments with alimentary reinforcement. In dogs with a preliminary ablation of the CI and CII cortical zones of the contralateral hemisphere, stimulation of the caudate nucleus head was attended with a sharp drop in every criterion of the instrumental defensive reactions.  相似文献

In cats with elaborated alimentary instrumental reflexes to light net characteristics of neurones of visual, motor cortex and the hypothalamus lateral nucleus were studied on the basis of revealed interneuronal interactions by means of cross-correlation method of analysis. Different organization of net properties of the cortical neurones in organization of local and distributed neuronal networks was shown, namely: predominance of the divergent characteristics over the convergent ones for cells in local networks and levelling of these relations in distributed nets. Neurones of the lateral hypothalamus nucleus had equal presentation of divergent and convergent properties in organization of local and distributed networks. Net characteristics of neurones of the cortical and subcortical structures were manifested in the background after the elaboration and the extinction of conditioned reflexes. Only small cells of the visual cortex were functionally dependent and changed correlation of net characteristics in local networks at CR extinction.  相似文献

In white rats resuscitated after 10-minutes stop of the blood circulation, conditioned switching over was elaborated on the basis of alimentary and defensive instrumental reflexes and the effect was studied of neurotizing influences. Single application of electrocutaneous pain stimulus in alimentary situation ("collision") led to more expressed disturbances of conditioned activity in resuscitated rats than in intact ones. Differentiation of a signal different from the positive conditioned stimulus only by the height of the tone, was practically not elaborated in resuscitated rats, and the disturbance of the conditioned alimentary reflex to the reinforced signal appearing during differentiation elaboration, was manifest in them to a greater degree. The obtained data testify that even a short-time brain ischemia, accompanied by a fast and full restoration of the neurological status, leads to functional defects of the CNS appearing at subsequent neurotic influences.  相似文献

A conditioned food-procuring reaction previously elaborated to an acoustic stimulus was reproduced in chronic experiments on six cats by means of direct electrical stimulation of the posterior parts of the lateral hypothalamus. Folloiwng extensive bilateral electrolytic ablation of the caudate nucleus, conditioned food-procuring reaction to the stimulation of the hypothalamus could not be reproduced for 40 to 70 days. The conditioned foor-procuring reflex to the acoustic stimulus disappeared for 14 to 30 days to be subsequently spontaneously restored. After caudatotomy, a diminution of the average amplitude of background oscillations and of evoked potentials to acoustic stimuli was recorced in the examined zones of the lateral hypothalamus. The part played by the caudate nucleus in the processes of alimentary behaviour activation is discussed.  相似文献

Generalization of defensive conditioned reflexes elaborated to electrical stimulation of the lateral hypothalamus (LH) was studied in four dogs with electrodes implanted in various structures of the limbic system. Electrocutaneous stimulation was switched off when the dog lifted the foreleg to a definite level. Generalization of the conditioned reflex was manifested in different degrees when testing different formations of the limbic system, or testing one and the same structure, but at different stages of conditioning. Two types of generalization were found: the first one--a well pronounced motor reaction, by its latency, level and duration of lifting the foreleg similar to movements appearing in response to the conditioned stimulus; and the second one--low amplitude or short-term movements differing from conditioned ones. The first type of generalization was observed in response to stimulation of LH, contralateral to the point of signal stimulation, of the ventromedial hypothalamic nucleus, the mammillary bodies and the basal, lateral and to a lesser degree, the central nucleus of the amygdaloid complex; the second type--in response to stimulation of the ventral hippocampus, the medial and lateral septum nuclei.  相似文献

By means of daily alimentary deprivation and presentation of acoustic stimuli, a hunger dominant was created in rabbits. After dominant testing by eye stimulation with air puff, when not only winking of one eye but also swallowing or chewing appeared,--the dominant was disrupted by giving food to the animal. Disruption of motivational hunger dominant led to rapid formation of stable temporary connection. At subsequent creation of hunger dominant the animal itself disrupted it by winking reaction with the significant eye. The basis of goal-directed reaction is the activation of feedback temporary connection, established at the dominant summation stage. The conditioned alimentary reflex, elaborated on the basis of dominant disruption is designated as endogenous alimentary conditioned reflex.  相似文献

In experiments on rabbits, instrumental and complex conditioned alimentary behaviour was studied at various ways of raising alimentary motivation to extreme levels. Animals behaviour in these conditions could acquire an outwardly non-motivated (in relation to alimentary need) character. It is suggested that these phenomena are based on the transformation of the dominant motivation and not on the mechanism of "shifted" activity. In experiments on rats, a long "pseudoreinforcement" of extremely enhanced motivation of thirst by ethanol led to profound changes of physiological and neurochemical properties of the primary drinking motivation centres of the hypothalamus. It is suggested that such changes underlie the realization of plasticity properties of the dominant motivation.  相似文献

Properties were studied of elaboration of conditioned alimentary secretory reflexes to threshold electric stimulation of the caudate nucleus in dogs. The rate of formation of such a reflex and its magnitude were considerably lower than in reflexes elaborated to distant stimuli. Latencies were longer; dynamics of conditioned and unconditioned secretory reactions was similar to that of reflexes to a weak stimulus--light. The motor component of the conditioned alimentary reaction, as a rule, was absent. Characteristics were revealed of formation of alimentary reflexes to stimulation of the dorsal and ventral parts of the head and body of the caudate nucleus.  相似文献

To study functional connections in the limbic system (LS), a model was used of instrumental alimentary CR, elaborated in response to low-frequency hippocampus electrostimulation with testing of its generalization within the LS. The dependence was established of the generalization on activation of corresponding pathways between the signal and tested brain structures, the activation of pathways was estimated by EPs recorded in limbic structures in response to hippocampus stimulation (during CR performance), or vice versa (in generalization trials). It turned out that for the appearance of CR generalization, two-way connections between signal and tested brain structures or connections only to the signal structure are more important. One-way connections from the signal structure to tested ones, judging by data, are not important for appearance of the CR generalization in used model of conditioning.  相似文献

Response was recorded in the pyramidal tract (PT) under three experimental situations modelling the shaping of conditioned reflex (CR) during experiments on unrestrained but unanesthetized rabbits. The first paradigm consisted of direct stimulation of two points on the sensorimotor cortex, the second of the same stimuli combine with electrical stimulation (used as additional reinforcement) of the lateral hypothalamus (LH), and the third of LH stimulation in response to a rise occurring in PT response to above control level (modelling instrumental CR). An overall increase in the monosynaptic wave indicative of altered efficacy of synaptic connections was most commonly observed under all these conditions. Increase in the component directly reflecting pyramidal neuronal excitation appeared significantly more pronounced in the second and third than in the first experimental paradigm. The data obtained would point to reinforced efficacy of excitatory synaptic connections as the principal mechanism of CR, while the changed quality of electrical excitability at the membrane of cortical neurons reflects mechanisms underlying the contribution of reinforcement triggered by LH activation in cortical reordering of the motivational/emotional component of reinforcement.Higher Nervous Activity and Neurophysiology Research Institute, Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Moscow. In chronic experiments on cats it was shown that the lesion of the medial part of the septum does not result in the "septal syndrome"; the ratio of the different sleep-wakefulness cycle phases remains within the baseline values; the acquisition, retrieval and extinction of instrumental alimentary conditioned reflexes proceed normally; the delayed conditioned reflexes are impaired. Massive septal lesion, including its lateral part, leads to the development of the "septal syndrome"; there are changes in the structure and percentage of the different sleep-wakefulness cycle phases; the acquisition and extinction of instrumental alimentary reflexes with the sound discrimination are markedly retarded; the performance of delayed conditioned reflexes is completely destroyed. The section of the entorhinal cortex produces an increase in the number of repeated errors and perseverative movements during performance of instrumental alimentary reflexes, the deceleration of the acquisition and extinction of instrumental alimentary reflexes, complete disturbance of the delayed conditioned reflexes and does not affect the sleep-wakefulness cycle. The problems of the role of the hippocampus and its main inputs in the regulation of the short-term operative memory in the "pure form" as well as the significance of the descending influence of the hippocampus on the regulation of general animal behavior were also discussed.  相似文献

Two conditioned reflexes (CR) on flash were elaborated in five dogs in three experimental series. In one of them pressing on pedal were constantly reinforced with two pieces of liver, in other--escape or avoidance of skin stimulation with lifting of leg. In a third series, series of reinforcement choice, in front of animal with electrodes, fasting on leg, put the pedal. During of choice series defensive reactions were dominated in two dogs, alimentary reactions--three of them. For restoration alimentary behaviour in dog with great dominating of defensive reactions were many times reinforced with--food "passive" pressing legs on pedal during conditional stimuli, dog with less dominating of these reactions for restoration were enough a few coupling of conditional stimuli with food. With intensification electrocutaneus stimulation of legs or decreasing alimentary reinforcement we a success of diminishing of degree of alimentary reaction domination in one dog and in other ones temporarily changed of these domination on prevalence of defensive reactions. The results were compared with data, obtained in these dogs with technique of choice between probability and value of alimentary reinforcement. This comparison were permitted us of ranging dogs on scale "carefulness-riskiness", revealed of individual typological features of these animals.  相似文献

In experiments on cats with chronically implanted electrodes a conditioned stimulus (200 c/s tone) was paired with electrical stimulation of limbic structures, which produces pronounced emotional behaviour: defensive, aggressive, alimentary or drinking reactions. It has been shown that conditioned reactions are not elaborated on the basis of electrical stimulation, which activates alimentary, drinking or aggressive behaviour. Neither is a conditioned reflex formed to the combination of sound and stimulation of the brain structures, which inhibits alimentary behaviour. A distinct conditioned fear reaction sets in as a result of combination of sound and electrical stimulation of brain structures, which evoke defensive behaviour. The data obtained are analyzed in the light of the significance of natural requirements of the organism for the elaboration of conditioned reflexes.  相似文献
