本文报道长尾蚴吸虫幼虫在菲律宾蛤仔的寄生部位及其组织化学的研究,长尾蚴吸虫幼虫主要寄生于哈仔的生殖腺组织中,仅少部分进入生殖腺附近的消化腺,鳃等。受感染严重的蛤仔,其生殖腺的滤泡等组织被虫体占满并被耗尽,长尾蚴吸虫子胞蚴的胞壁及尾蚴的皮导主要含碱性蛋白质和粘蛋白,子胞蚴的胚球,尾蚴的吸盘,生殖原基,单细胞腺体主要DNA阳性物质,排泄囊含丰富的碱性蛋白质;尾蚴体的中部含有呈颗粒团的粘蛋白和抗淀粉酶的  相似文献

The cercaria of Austrobilharzia sp. from the marine prosobranch gastropod Planaxis sulcatus in Kuwait Bay is described. The surface microtopography and pattern of the tegumentary sensory receptors are examined using scanning electron microscopy. The general microtopography of the surface of the cercaria is similar to that previously observed in cercariae of mammalian schistosomes, although differences are recorded in the types, numbers and distribution of the sensory receptors. The study identified more than 13 types of receptors comprising aciliated, uniciliated and for the first time a multiciliated receptor in a strigeid cercaria. The ciliated receptor types differ in the cilium length and structure of the surrounding collar and tegumentary base. The receptor types are site specific: (1) the aciliated and pitlike on the anterior organ-neck region and ventral sucker; (2) the uniciliated with a long flexible cilium with or without collar or a tegumentary base on the body and tail; and (3) the uniciliated with a short rigid cilium and a robust collar and tegumentary base, and the multiciliated with 6 flexible cilia and a high cylindrical collar on the anterior organ tip. The reported SEM information on the sensory receptors may contribute to elucidating their functional role and to establishing morphological characters for the phylogeny of the family Schistosomatidae.  相似文献

Ultrastructure of daughter sporocysts and cercariae of Schistosoma japonicum were studied 2 and 4 months after infection of Oncomelania hupensis hupensis. The body walls of daughter sporocysts are similar at all infectious stages. They consist of an external syncytial tegument on a basement membrane, and an internal cellular subtegument surrounding a body cavity containing developing cercariae. The cercariae embryos develop 2 months after infection from germinal balls in the brood chamber of the daughter sporocyst. They are at first enveloped by a primitive epithelium rising from the daughter sporocyst. Four months after infection, the cercariae were almost fully developed and the primitive epithelium had degenerated. The body wall of the cercaria consists of a thin tegument covered by a surface coat of fibrous material and connected to the subtegumental cells by cytoplasmic processes. The matrix of the tegument contains numerous dense bodies, vacuoles, and spines. Two types of sensory structures - uniciliated and multiciliated - are found at the anterior tip of the cercaria. There are five pairs of penetration gland cells of two distinct types differentiated by the morphology of secretory granules. Flame cells are found in both daughter sporocysts and in cercariae. The cilia of the flame cells are characterized by the typical 9 and 2 cilium pattern.  相似文献

本文报道应用组织化学反应方法初步观察了腔阔盘吸虫(Eurytrema coelomaticum)尾蚴及后蚴体中单细胞腺的组织化学成分及其生理功能。尾蚴的5对大单细胞腺主要分泌粘蛋白、酸性粘多糖及微量碱性蛋白质,当子胞蚴被排到外界时,此腺体物质分泌出充满子胞蚴内囊腔并包被着各尾蚴。尾蚴在此腺体分泌物保护下渡过其在外界生存的时间。尾蚴的4对小单细胞腺主要包含中性糖蛋白及结合氨基的蛋白质(可能是含酶物质),此腺体物质可能是在尾蚴进入昆虫宿主(草螽)体内穿钻其胃壁进入血腔时分泌出能溶解胃壁组织帮助尾蚴的穿钻行为。成熟后蚴的穿刺腺对PAS反应呈强阳性,其分泌物可以溶解囊蚴的囊壁,使后蚴迅速脱囊。各幼虫期其他器官组织的组化成分也经观察。  相似文献

A new 23-collar-spined cercaria and metacercaria are described from intertidal molluscs of the coast of New Zealand. The new cercaria found emerging from the mud snails Zeacumantus subcarinatus (Sowerby) (Prosobranchia: Batillariidae) is characterized mainly by the number and arrangement of the cephalic glands, the size of the suckers, and the size and number of the collar spines. The cercaria encysts in the cockle Austrovenus stutchburyi (Wood) (Bivalvia: Veneridae) which lives in sympatry with the first intermediate host throughout New Zealand. Laboratory infections of cockles by cercariae from naturally infected snails resulted in metacercariae identical to those found in naturally infected cockles. The main features of the cercaria and metacercaria are the presence of a reniform collar with 23 spines, two pairs of small cephalic glands at the oral sucker level, another two pairs of much longer ones posterior to the pharynx, and the excretory vesicle Y-shaped with the main collecting canals extending to the anterior level of the ventral sucker. Each of the main collecting canals had 10-11 pairs of bilateral diverticula between the anterior edge of the ventral sucker and anterior body end. A brief discussion of its possible life cycle and ecology is also provided.  相似文献

The roles of secretory glands during the developmental process from an immature cercaria to a metacercaria in Cercaria shikokuensis were studied. Four types of secretory cells were identified in this species. On maturation of the cercaria in redia, the products of ventral gland cells and mucoid gland cells formed a thick surface coat on the mature cercaria, and the products of cephalic gland cells also formed a thin cover on the surface coat. In the process leading to the formation of a metacercaria, the surface coat constituted the outer layer of the cyst, mucoid gland cells secreted mucous substances inside the wall, and then cystogenous gland cells discharged their products to the inner wall. The cyst wall was composed of four layers, and it was thought that the outermost surface layer helped the cyst wall to adhere to the matrix and the intermediate layers helped to put together outer and inner walls.  相似文献

Argentophilic staining and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to study the tegumentary papillae of Echinostoma revolutum cercariae. The most abundant papilla was uniciliate and arranged bilaterally on the body and tail of the cercaria. The distribution of these papillae was similar to that seen in other 37-collar spined echinostome cercariae. SEM revealed a total of 18 multiciliate papillae--16 on the anterior end and 2 at the middle of the body. These papillae contained up to 18 cilia per papilla and have not been reported previously from any cercaria.  相似文献

While in the sporocyst, the cercaria of Schistosoma mansoni has a pair of unicellular escape glands whose funduses are located together on one side of the body. The funduses taper into microtubule lined ducts that open on the anterior surface of the oral sucker through desmosome supported pores in the immediate vicinity of the ducts of the acetabular glands. The glands contain membrane-bound secretory granules which have a fine medium-dense, homogeneously granular material in their matrices. A large membrane-bound reservoir of granular material, whose texture is similar to that of the secretory granules, is often seen in the cytoplasm of the funduses. In free-swimming cercariae, the ducts in the oral sucker are the only obvious remains of the escape gland.  相似文献

The secretory-excretory system of C. elegans, reconstructed from serial-section electron micrographs of larvae, is composed of four cells, the nuclei of which are located on the ventral side of the pharynx and adjacent intestine. (1) The pore cell encloses the terminal one-third of the excretory duct which leads to an excretory pore at the ventral midline. (2) The duct cell surrounds the excretory duct with a lamellar membrane from the origin of the duct at the excretory sinus to the pore cell boundary. (3) A large H-shaped excretory cell extends bilateral canals anteriorly and posteriorly nearly the entire length of the worm. The excretory sinus within the cell body joins the lumena of the canals with the origin of the duct. (4) A binucleate, A-shaped gland cell extends bilateral processes anteriorly from cell bodies located just behind the pharynx. These processes are fused at the anterior tip of the cell, where the cell enters the circumpharyngeal nerve ring. The processes are also joined at the anterior edge of the excretory cell body, where the excretory cell and gland are joined to the duct cell at the origin of the duct. Secretory granules may be concentrated in the gland near this secretory-excretory junction. Although the gland cells of all growing developmental stages stain positively with paraldehyde-fuchsin, the gland of the dauer larva stage (a developmentally arrested third-stage larva) does not stain, nor do glands of starved worms of other stages. Dauer larvae uniquely lack secretory granules, and the gland cytoplasm is displaced by a labyrinth of large, transparent spaces. Exit from the dauer stage results in the return of active secretory morphology in fourth-stage larvae.  相似文献

Rediae, cercariae, and adults of Ribeiroia marini were examined using a scanning electron microscope to determine the types of tegumental sensory structures and their locations. Sensory structures were observed among numerous tegumental folds in the area immediately surrounding the mouth of the rediae. These sensory structures are similar in appearance, location and fine structure to sensory structures described from the anterior tips of rediae known to be predacious on the sporocysts of Schistosoma mansoni. These uniciliated structures may function as chemoreceptors to aid the redia in migration through snail tissue. Five types of sensory structures bearing one, two, or multiple cilia were distinguishable on the cercariae. These structures were located on and around the oral sucker, dorsal and ventral body surfaces and on the tail. They may be used by the cercariae to locate the intermediate host fish and to find suitable sites within the lateral line scales for encystment. The ventral surface of the adult fluke is covered with spines and shows an absence of sensory structures on the general body surface. Sensory structures were seen in the area surrounding the oral and ventral suckers. The extended cirrus organ has a folded tegument, but lacks spines or sensory structures.  相似文献

The prevalence and intensity of experimental infections of Aedes aegypti with the digenean Plagiorchis noblei increased significantly with the level of trickle exposure to cercariae. Daily exposure to doses of 16 cercariae/day yielded a mean infection intensity of 13.0 metacercariae; doses of 1 cercaria/day resulted in only 2.4 metacercariae per infected mosquito larva. The prevalence of infection rose from 46% at an exposure of 1 cercaria/day to 99% at 16 cercariae/day. Host mortality rose concomitantly from 25% to 88%. Host mortality and parasite acquisition were independent of environmental temperatures (21-29 C), despite the fact that developmental times, and consequently the number of daily exposures, were more than 50% greater at the low end of the temperature scale. This may be attributable to low activity of mosquito larvae and the resulting decrease in the number of encounters with cercariae.  相似文献

Phalloidin-fluorescein isothiocyanate staining of filamentous actin was used to identify muscle systems within the cercariae of Schistosoma mansoni. Examination of labeled cercariae by confocal scanning laser microscopy revealed distinct organizational levels of myofiber arrangements within the body wall, anterior cone, acetabulum, and esophagus. The body wall throughout showed a typical latticelike arrangement of outer circular and inner longitudinal myofibers, with an additional innermost layer of diagonal fibers in the anterior portion of the body. Circular and longitudinal fibers were also evident in the anterior organ and esophagus and, to some extent, the ventral acetabulum. Most striking was the striation of the cercarial tail musculature.  相似文献

The life cycle of Brachylaima llobregatensis n. sp. (Trematoda: Brachylaimidae) is elucidated. Embryonated, operculated, asymmetric eggs (30.9 x 18.2 microm) are eliminated with feces of natural hosts wood mouse Mus spretus; white-toothed shrew, Crocidura russula; and an experimental host, domestic mouse, Mus musculus var. domesticus. The eggs are ingested by the helicid gastropod Helix (Cornu) aspersa, the only natural and experimental first intermediate host. The miracidium hatches from the egg, infects the snails, and develops into a branched sporocyst in the digestive gland. Microcaudate cercariae emerge from this snail and develop into unencysted metacercariae in the kidney of second intermediate host snails H. (C.) aspersa and Otala punctata (natural hosts) and Theba pisana (experimental host). Ingestion of infected snails leads to the infection of definitive hosts, with the adults inhabiting the middle part of the small intestine. There is a chaetotaxic pattern specific on the acetabular (S(II) 5-6 papillae) and body (papillae absent on P(II)) levels. Three types of cercaria papillae were observed by scanning electron microscopy: argentophilic papillae with fingerlike processes (cephalic, body, and acetabular levels); argentophilic papillae with opening (2 papillae in the M body level); and nonargentophilic dome-shaped papillae (on the cephalic C(II) level, alternating with argentophilic S(II) papillae on the ventral sucker). Suckers are subequal, with the acetabulum located in the posterior part of the anterior third of body. Vitellaria extend from anterior margin of acetabulum to between middle level and anterior margin of anterior testis.  相似文献

Schistosomiasis is a global health problem caused by several species of schistosome blood flukes. The initial stage of infection is invasion of human skin by a multicellular larva, the cercaria. We identified proteins released by cercariae when they are experimentally induced to exhibit invasive behavior. Comparison of the proteome obtained from skin lipid-induced cercariae (the natural activator), a cleaner mechanical induction procedure, and an uninduced proteomic control allowed identification of protein groups contained in cercarial acetabular gland secretion versus other sources. These included a group of proteins involved in calcium binding, calcium regulation, and calcium-activated functions; two proteins (paramyosin and SPO-1) implicated in immune evasion; and protease isoforms implicated in degradation of host skin barriers. Several other protein families, traditionally found as cytosolic proteins, appeared concentrated in secretory cells. These included proteins with chaperone activity such as HSP70, -86, and -60. Comparison of the three experimental proteomes also allowed identification of protein contaminants from the environment that were identified because of the high sensitivity of the MS/MS system used. These included proteins from the intermediate host snail in which cercariae develop, the investigator, and the laboratory environment. Identification of proteins secreted by invasive larvae provides important new information for validation of models of skin invasion and immune evasion and aids in rational development of an anti-schistosome vaccine.  相似文献

The ventral sucker of Schistosoma mansoni cercaria is a cupshaped structure that is attached to the ventral surface of the organism by a homogeneous connective tissue that surrounds the acetabular glands. The sucker consists of an extensive complex of circular and longitudinal muscles. The longitudinal muscles extend outwoard in a radial pattern to form the cup of the organ. Intermingled with the muscles are nerve bundles and subtegumental cells (cytons). Dendritic nerve fibers connect to sensory papillae which are found on the surface tegument. Two types of sensory papillae are present: a commonly found unsheathed uniciliated papilla, and a previously unidentified tegumental encapsulated structure. Tegument with spines covers the ventral sucker, although the tegumental encapsulated sensory papilla lacks spines. © 1995 Wiley-Liss, Inc.  相似文献

Cercaria caribbea LVIII Cable, 1963 (Digenea: Cyathocotylidae) was detected from a brackish water gastropod species (Cerithideopsilla cingulata) in a coatal area of Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Province), the Republic of Korea, and its surface ultrastructure was studied using a scanning electron microscope. The cercariae were found freely swimming or enveloped within daughter sporocysts when the snail host was mechanically broken. They were morphologically characterized by a linguiform and ventrally concave body, a long and bifurcated tail, and the presence of a holdfast (=tribocytic) organ posterior to the ventral sucker. On the whole ventral and dorsal surfaces, peg-like tegumental spines were densely distributed. Around the oral sucker, several sensory papillae, each with a short cilium, were distributed, and on the tail, sensory papillae, each with an extensively long cilium, were observed. This is the first record describing a cyathocotylid cercaria from a brackish water gastropod in the Republic of Korea.  相似文献

Recent interpretations of developmental gene expression patterns propose that the last common metazoan ancestor was segmented, although most animal phyla show no obvious signs of segmentation. Developmental studies of non-model system trochozoan taxa may shed light on this hypothesis by assessing possible cryptic segmentation patterns. In this paper, we present the first immunocytochemical data on the ontogeny of the nervous system and the musculature in the sipunculan Phascolion strombus. Myogenesis of the first anlagen of the body wall ring muscles occurs synchronously and not subsequently from anterior to posterior as in segmented spiralian taxa (i.e. annelids). The number of ring muscles remains constant during the initial stages of body axis elongation. In the anterior-posteriorly elongated larva, newly formed ring muscles originate along the entire body axis between existing myocytes, indicating that repeated muscle bands do not form from a posterior growth zone. During neurogenesis, the Phascolion larva expresses a non-metameric, paired, ventral nerve cord that fuses in the mid-body region in the late-stage elongated larva. Contrary to other trochozoans, Phascolion lacks any larval serotonergic structures. However, two to three FMRFamide-positive cells are found in the apical organ. In addition, late larvae show commissure-like neurones interconnecting the two ventral nerve cords, while early juveniles exhibit a third, medially placed FMRFamidergic ventral nerve. Although we did not find any indications for cryptic segmentation, certain neuro-developmental traits in Phascolion resemble the conditions found in polychaetes (including echiurans) and myzostomids and support a close relationship of Sipuncula and Annelida.  相似文献

Developmental and free-living stages of the chordoid larva of the cycliophoran species, Symbion pandora Funch and Kristensen 1995, were studied using light and electron microscopy. In the free-living stage of the larva, about 200 μm long, four ciliated areas are found: two anterior bands, a ventral ciliated field, and a posterior unit on the ventral side of the foot. The nervous system consists of a dorsal brain and a pair of ventral longitudinal nerves. A gut is absent. A pair of protonephridia, each with a single multiciliated terminal cell and at least one duct cell, is present. Nephridiopores are not localized. A pair of corsal ciliated organs is posterior to the brain. The homology between these and the apical organ of a trochophore larva is discussed. A distinctive longitudinal rod, the chordoid organ, consists of vacuolized cells with circular myofilaments. The organ is comparable to a similar structure in gastrotrichs. In the discussion of the phylogenetic position of Cycliophora among protostomians, important morphological observations that are described in the present study indicate that, despite some dissimilarities, the chordoid larva is a modified trochophore. © 1996 Wiley-Liss, Inc.  相似文献
