The phylogeny of the cetrarioid lichens with bifusiform spermatia and dorsiventral thalli which contain usnic acid is reanalysed using three parts of the genome, ITS rDNA, β-tubulin and GAPDH sequences. Molecular data from five cetrarioid species are presented for the first time, and 13 new sequences are combined with sequences from the gene bank to delimit the genus Nephromopsis. A monophyletic clade of Nephromopsis, Tuckneraria, ‘Cetraria’ leucostigma and ‘C.’ melaloma is identified and circumscribed as one genus, Nephromopsis, which now includes 19 species. Four new combinations are presented. A key to the species is provided.  相似文献

Based on the study of the neotype and the astogeny of the type specimens of the species Ascopora nodosa (Fischer von Waldheim, 1837), the diagnosis and species composition of the genus Ascopora Trautschold, 1876 are emended. The genus Ascopora and three species out of the five included in this genus—A. nodosa (Fischer von Waldheim, 1837); A. sokolovae Schulga-Nesterenko, 1955; and A. latiaxis Schulga-Nesterenko, 1955—are described. A new genus, Tetrasella gen. nov., with the type species T. blanda sp. nov. is described. This genus comprises five species, transferred from the composition of the genus Ascopora. An emended diagnosis of the genus Ascoporella Krutchinina, 1986, is provided. This genus comprises nine species, of which two, A. lecta sp. nov. and A. mera sp. nov., are described as new species.  相似文献

One new kinorhynch genus and species and one new species from the genus Zelinkaderes are described from sandy sediment off Fort Pierce, Florida. The new genus and species, Tubulideres seminoli gen. et sp. nov. is characterized by the presence of the first trunk segment consisting of a closed ring, the second segment of a bent tergal plate with a midventral articulation and the following nine segments consisting of a tergal and two sternal plates. Cuspidate spines are not present, but flexible tubules are located on several segments, and in particular concentrated on the ventral side of the second segment. Middorsal spines are present on all trunk segments and are alternatingly offset to a position slightly lateral to the middorsal line. Zelinkaderes brightae nov. sp. is characterized by its spine formula in having middorsal spines on trunk segments 4, 6 and 8–11, lateroventral acicular spines on segment 2, lateral accessory cuspidate spines on segments 2 and 8, ventrolateral cuspidate spines on segments 4–6 and 9, lateroventral acicular spines present on segments 8 and 9, and midterminal, lateral terminal and lateral terminal accessory spines on segment 11. The spine formula of Z. brightae nov. sp. places it in a position in between Z. submersus and a clade consisting of Z. klepali and Z. floridensis. The new findings on Z. brightae nov. sp. have led us to propose an emended diagnosis for the genus.  相似文献

A Gram-positive, moderately halophilic, facultatively alkaliphilic, catalase- and oxidase-positive, obligately aerobic, filamentous actinomycete strain, designated YIM 90022T, was isolated from saline soil collected from the Qaidam Basin, north-west China. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that the new isolate was a member of the genus Nocardiopsis and the sequence similarities between the isolate and the type strains of members of the genus Nocardiopsis were in the range of 95.1–98.7%. Phenotypic and chemotaxonomic properties of this organism also indicated that strain YIM 90022T was a member of the genus Nocardiopsis. The strain grew well on most of the media tested, producing yellow-white to deep brown substrate mycelium and white aerial mycelium. Light gray to deep brown diffusible pigments were produced. The substrate mycelium was well developed and fragmented with age; the aerial mycelium produced long, straight to flexuous spore chains with non-motile, smooth-surfaced, rod-shaped spores on them. The strain grew in the presence of 1–15% (w/v) total salts (optimum, 3–5%) and at pH 6.0–10.5 (optimum, pH 8.5) and 10–45°C (optimum, 30°C). Whole-cell hydrolysates of strain YIM 90022T contained meso-diaminopimelic acid and no diagnostic sugars. The predominant menaquinones were MK-10(H4), MK-9(H8), MK-10(H6) and MK-10(H8). Polar lipids comprised diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylglycerol and phosphatidylmethylethanolamine. The major cellular fatty acids were iso-C16:0, anteiso-C17:0, 10-methyl-C18:0 and 10-methyl-C17:0. The DNA G + C content of strain YIM 90022T was 71.5 mol%. The combination of phylogenetic analysis, DNA–DNA relatedness data, phenotypic characteristics and chemotaxonomic data supported the suggestion that strain YIM 90022T represents a new species of the genus Nocardiopsis, for which the name Nocardiopsis terrae sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is YIM 90022T (=CCTCC AA 208011T =KCTC 19431T).  相似文献

The genus Endohyalina is characterized by crustose, autonomous, or obligately lichenicolous thalli, lecideine apothecia with a hymenium often more or less inspersed with oil droplets and a brown hypothecium, Bacidia-type asci, small Dirinaria-type ascospores developing with type B ontogeny, bacilliform conidia and containing diploicin as the major secondary metabolite. The genus is based on four species previously included in RinodinaR. ericina s. lat., R. insularis, R. interjecta and R. kalbii—and on two lichenicolous species from the Canary Islands described here as new, Endohyalina brandii and E. diederichii. The generic type, Endohyalina rappii, is reduced to synonymy with E. ericina whereas E. circumpallida is excluded from the genus and returned to Buellia s. lat. Except for the thalline growth form and the common lichenicolous habit, the diagnostic characters of Endohyalina are akin to those of Diploicia. New chemical data on Endohyalina insularis and E. kalbii are reported, and a simple method for determining the secondary chemistry of lichenicolous fungi is provided.  相似文献

To determine a suitable DNA barcode for the genus Neonectria, the internal transcribed spacer rDNA, β-tubulin, EF-1α, and RPB2 genes were selected as candidate markers. A total of 205 sequences from 19 species of the genus were analyzed. Intra- and inter-specific divergences and the ease of nucleotide sequence acquisition were treated as criteria to evaluate the feasibility of a DNA barcode. Our results indicated that any single gene among the candidate markers failed to serve as a successful barcode, while the combination of the partial EF-1α, and RPB2 genes recognized all species tested. We tentatively propose the combined partial EF-1α and RPB2 genes as a DNA barcode for the genus. During this study, two cryptic species were discovered, based on the combined data of morphology and DNA barcode information. We described and named these two new species N. ditissimopsis and N. microconidia.  相似文献

Five new species, Petrobius caucasicus sp. n., Trigoniophthalmus presimplex sp. n., T. divnogorski sp. n., T. kislovodski sp. n., and T. adigei sp. n. (Machilidae), are described from the Caucasus. A key to all the known species of the genus Trigoniophthalmus is given. Two subgenera (Trigoniophthalmus s. str., Trigoniocellus subgen. n.) in the genus Trigoniophthalmus are described. 2 + 2 retractile vesicles are present on abdominal segments II–IV in the species of Trigoniocellus subgen. n. and on II–V abdominal segments in Trigoniophthalmus s. str. Analysis of the evolution and phylogenetic relations between the species of the genus Trigoniophthalmus is performed for the first time. The formation of bristletails of the genus Trigoniophthalmus appears to occur in the Caucasian mountain province of the European area, from where they penetrated to the Central European mixed province and the Mediterranean subarea. Among the described species of the genus, T. kislovodski is distinguished by the greatest number of plesiomorphic states of morphological characters.  相似文献

Umbelopsis gibberispora is described as a new species in the genus Umbelopsis, Umbelopsidaceae, Mucorales. The species differs from others in this genus by ellipsoidal sporangiospores with unilaterally thickened walls. Phylogenetic analyses based on nuclear large subunit ribosomal DNA (nLSU rDNA) partial sequences suggest that U. gibberispora, U. swartii, and U. westeae form a clade together with the strains of Umbelopsis ramanniana. The ex-type strain of Micromucor ramannianus var. angulisporus is found to be very close to Umbelopsis vinacea, whereas other isolates identified under the former name in the sense of Linnemann fall in the U. ramanniana subclade. For these isolates, a new species, Umbelopsis angularis, is introduced. Phylogenetic relationships among Umbelopsis species are discussed related to their attributes of the sporangial wall and mature spore shapes. Summary  A new monotypic genus and a new species of Monimiaceae, Grazielanthus arkeocarpus from the Brazilian Atlantic coastal forest are described, illustrated and compared with morphologically related taxa. The new taxon occurs in the State of Rio de Janeiro in the central coastal plain and was collected in the Po?o das Antas Biological Reserve, municipality of Silva Jardim (22°30′– 22°33′S; 42°14′– 42°19′W). The new taxon is represented by dioecious climbing shrubs of the sub-canopy that have urceolate, four-lobed flowers and a fleshy hypanthium that is closed until the fruit ripens. When ripe, the hypanthium ruptures irregularly and the fruitlets are exposed. The relationships between the new genus and other neotropical (Hennecartia J. Poiss. and Macrotorus Perkins) and paleotropical (Palmeria F. Muell.) genera are discussed.  相似文献

A new species of genus Microrasbora Annandale (1918), M. microphthalma, is described from the Nanwan River, a tributary of the Ruili River, Irrawaddy drainage, in southwest Yunnan province, China. This new species is the first record of the genus Microrasbora in China. Microrasbora microphthalma can be distinguished from the other species of Microrasbora by the following combination of characters: 15–16 predorsal scales, eye diameter/head length 27–38%, eye diameter/interorbital width 70–93%, predorsal length/ standard length 60–68%, the preanal length/ standard length 65–71% and the origin of dorsal fin is posterior of that of the ventral fin. Xiao-Yong Chen and Jun-Xing Yang contributed equally to this paper.  相似文献

During the course of our research on new actinobacterial sources, a novel actinomycete strain YIM 63101T was isolated from the surface-sterilized roots of Artemisia annua L. collected from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan province, south-west China and characterized by using a polyphasic approach. The strain formed well-differentiated aerial and substrate mycelia. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain YIM 63101T belongs to the genus Pseudonocardia, with highest similarity to “Pseudonocardia artemisiae YIM 63587T” (99.4%). Sequence similarities between strain YIM 63101T and the other Pseudonocardia species ranged from 97.0 (Pseudonocardia saturnea IMSNU 20052T) to 94.0% (Pseudonocardia compacta IMSNU 20111T). The chemotaxonomic characteristics, such as cell wall diaminopimelic acid, whole-cell sugars, fatty acid components and the major menaquinones suggested that the organism belonged to the genus Pseudonocardia. The G + C content of the genomic DNA was 69.4 mol%. Based on comparative analysis of physiological, biochemical and chemotaxonomic data, including low DNA–DNA hybridization results, it is proposed that strain YIM 63101T represents a novel species of the genus Pseudonocardia, named Pseudonocardia bannaensis sp. nov. The type strain is YIM 63101T (= CCTCC AA 208077 T = DSM 45300T).  相似文献

In view of the taxonomic revision of the Fauchea genus based on morphological, molecular and genetic studies and transfer of most of its species, including the type one F. repens, to the genus Gloiocladia [1], a new taxonomic combination was proposed for the recently described representative of the family Faucheaceae in Russian waters of the Pacific Ocean—Gloiocladia guiryi (Selivanova) Selivanova, comb. nov. (basionym: Fauchea guiryi Selivanova).  相似文献

A new species, Justicia jamisonii is described and illustrated. It resembles Rungia paxiana but has a much narrower membranous margin on the inflorescence bracts and the corolla is hairy on the outside. The species has an extraordinary geographical distribution, it is only known from Guinée and C?te d’Ivoire in the west and Kenya in the east, two areas separated by a c. 4,700 km gap. It is described here in Justicia because the genus Rungia will soon be united with the older genus Justicia by the second author.  相似文献

Salinibacter is a genus of red, extremely halophilic Bacteria. Thus far the genus is represented by a single species, Salinibacter ruber, strains of which have been isolated from saltern crystallizer ponds in Spain and on the Balearic Islands. Both with respect to its growth conditions and its physiology, Salinibacter resembles the halophilic Archaea of the order Halobacteriales. We have designed selective enrichment and isolation techniques to obtain Salinibacter and related red extremely halophilic Bacteria from different hypersaline environments, based on their resistance to anisomycin and bacitracin, two antibiotics that are potent inhibitors of the halophilic Archaea. Using direct plating on media containing bacitracin, we found Salinibacter-like organisms in numbers between 1.4×103 and 1.4×106ml−1 in brines collected from the crystallizer ponds of the salterns in Eilat, Israel, being equivalent to 1.8–18% of the total colony counts obtained on identical media without bacitracin. A number of strains from Eilat were subjected to a preliminary characterization, and they proved similar to the type strain of S. ruber. We also report here the isolation and molecular detection of Salinibacter-like organisms from an evaporite crust on the bottom of salt pools at the Badwater site in Death Valley, CA. These isolates and environmental 16S rRNA gene sequences differ in a number of properties from S. ruber, and they may represent a new species of Salinibacter or a new related genus. A novel Gram-negative, aerobic, moderate halophilic, and psychrotolerant bacterium, designated as strain H7T, was isolated from a hypersaline lake located in Skarvsnes, Antarctica. Cells were filaments with varying lengths. Coccoid bodies developed in old cultures. Growth occurred with 0.5–15% (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 5.8–7.0%), at pH 6.0–10.0 (optimum, pH 7.0–8.0), and at 10–28°C (optimum, 25°C). The strain had a G+C content of 34.9 mol%, which is within the range of 32–36 mol% reported for the genus Psychroflexus. Chemotaxonomic data (major respiratory quinone: MK-6; major fatty acids: aC15:0, iC16:0 3-OH, and aC15: 1 A) supported the classification of strain H7T within the genus Psychroflexus. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain H7T should be assigned to the genus Psychroflexus and has a homology with Psychroflexus salinarum (98.2%), P. sediminis (96.1%), P. torquis (95.2%), P. tropicus (95.8%), and P. gondwanense (92.2%). Strain H7 is not identified as P. salinarum because that DNA-DNA hybridization data were 8.5% between strain H7T and P. salinarum. The combination of phylogenetic analysis, DNA-DNA hybridization data, phenotypic characteristics, and chemotaxonomic differences supported the view that strain H7T represents a novel species of the genus Psychroflexus. The name Psychroflexus lacisalsi is proposed, and the type strain is H7T (=JCM 16231T =KACC 14089T).  相似文献

Nucleotide sequences from the internal transcribed spacers (ITS) of nuclear ribosomal DNA and 5.8S gene were used to infer the phylogeny of Tilia species (represented by 13 distinct populations) growing in different geographical areas of Hyrcanian forests in northern Iran. Four well-supported lineages were revealed, including that of a new species, T. hyrcana, with stellate trichomes on both sides of the leaves and petiole. T. hyrcana is a well-supported cladospecies, with the ITS sequence and secondary structure following the diagnosable phylogenetic species concept, and is also characterized by a distinct morphology. A controversial species is Tilia rubra subsp. caucasica, with three different forms—an assemblage of taxa characterized by a lack of stellate trichomes on leaves—while Tilia begonifolia is distinguished by stellate trichomes on the underside of both leaves and petiole. The fourth lineage group, T. dastyla, is characterized by the presence of trichomes on the style. A single taxon found in the west of the Hyrcanian forest region is similar to T. begonifolia, but due to the former being located in a distinct group, a reassessment of the diagnostic morphology is recommended. ITS sequence data also suggested a closer relationship between T. rubra and T. begonifolia. Compensatory base change analysis was not strong enough to separate individual species within the Tilia genus. In general, the study supports the utility of ITS sequence data and secondary structure as accessory taxonomic characteristics with which to help clarify the systematics of the Tilia genus.  相似文献

A new genus and species of zoarcid fish, Gosztonyia antarctica, is described on the basis of four specimens collected from the Bellingshausen Sea, Antarctic Ocean, at a depth of 615 m. Gosztonyia is placed in the subfamily Lycodinae and can be distinguished from all other zoarcid genera by the following combination of characters: seven branchiostegal rays, interdigitating ceratohyal–epihyal articulation, palatal arch reduced, posterior hyomandibular ramus longer than anterior, cranium narrowed, supratemporal commisure and occipital pores absent. A new species, Gosztonyia antarctica, is described and the relationships of the new genus are discussed.  相似文献
