在编写《广东植物志》爵床科的过程中,我们采用广义爵床属Justicia的概念,因此有部分种类的名称需要重新组合.提出了爵床属4个新名称:矮爵床J.demissa N.H.Xia&Y.F.Deng,海南爵床J.hainanensis(C.Y.Wu&H.S.Lo)N.H.Xia&Y.F.Deng,线叶爵床J.neolinearifoliaN.H.Xia&Y.F.Deng和两广线叶爵床J.neolinearifolia N.H.Xia&Y.F.Deng subsp.liangkwangensis(H.S.Lo)N.H.Xia&Y.F.Deng.  相似文献

The taxonomic importance of the rising placenta in capsules of Acanthaceae is briefly discussed, particularly in relation to Justicia versus Rungia. Rungia naoensis is described as a new species. Justicia imlayae and J. internodialis are new names. New combinations are Justicia stolonifera, Pseuderanthemum lapathifolium, P. latifolium, Ptyssiglottis isophylla, P. kunthiana, Rungia adnata, R. burmanica, R. clauda, R. eberhardtii, R. monetaria, R. oligoneura, R. purpurascens, R. selangorensis, R. subtilifolia, R. vegeta. We used sequence data from the intron and spacer of the trnL-trnF chloroplast region to study phylogenetic relationships among Acanthaceae. This region is more variable than other chloroplast loci that have been sequenced for members of Acanthaceae (rbcL and ndhF), is more prone to length mutations, and is less homoplasious than these genes. Our results indicate that this region is likely to be useful in addressing phylogenetic questions among but not within genera in these and related plants. In terms of phylogenetic relationships, Elytraria (representing Nelsonioideae) is more distantly related to Acanthaceae sensu stricto (s.s.) than Thunbergia and Mendoncia. These last two genera are strongly supported as sister taxa. Molecular evidence does not support monophyly of Acanthaceae s.s., although there is strong morphological evidence for this relationship. There is strong support for monophyly of four major lineages within Acanthaceae s.s.: the Acanthus, Barleria, Ruellia, and Justicia lineages as here defined. The last three of these comprise a strongly supported monophyletic group, and there is weaker evidence linking the Ruellia and Justicia lineages as closest relatives. Within the Acanthus lineage, our results confirm the existence of monophyletic lineages representing Aphelandreae and Acantheae. Lastly, within the Justicia lineage, we develop initial hypotheses regarding the definition of sublineages; some of these correspond to earlier ideas, whereas others do not. All of these hypotheses need to be tested against more data.  相似文献

LESTER, R. N. & EZCURRA, C, 1991. Enzyme etching treatment as an aid in the study of seed surface sculpture in Justicia and Ruellia (Acanthaceae). Enzyme etching treatment of seeds of Justicia was tested before scanning electron microscope examination. On all species tested the treatment removed the outer periclinal walls of the epidermal cells of the seeds, revealing the shape and morphology of the anticlinal walls. This treatment provides additional characters of the structure of the testa that may be useful in assessing relationships between species in this large and complex genus, but it proved useless in Ruellia. Here the seeds produce a coat of mucilage when moistened that completely protects the testa from the action of even extensive enzyme treatment.  相似文献

基于中国科学院西双版纳热带植物园收集保存的爵床科植物资源,运用层次分析法构建评价体系,对67种具有园林应用潜力的爵床科植物进行观赏价值综合评价。结果表明,在一级指标中,花观赏性所占权重最大,表示花观赏性在爵床科植物观赏价值综合评价中是最重要的方面;在二级指标中,花(序)量、花(序)色鲜艳度和盛花期时长对爵床科植物观赏价值的影响权重均超过10%,对评价结果有较大影响,而花(序)大小、花后观赏性和叶片盖度对爵床科植物观赏价值的影响权重均低于5%,对评价结果影响较小。依据指标权重和评分标准,对67种爵床科植物的观赏价值进行综合评分并划分等级,赤苞花(Megaskepasma erythrochlamys)、宽叶十万错(Asystasia gangetica)、鸟尾花(Crossandra infundibuliformis)、翠芦莉(Ruellia simplex)、翼叶山牵牛(Thunbergia alata)、金苞花(Pachystachys lutea)、黄花老鸦嘴(Thunbergia mysorensis)、白苞爵床(Justicia betonica)、叉花草(Strobilanthes hamiltoniana)、绯红珊瑚花(Pachystachys coccinea)、白金羽花(Schaueria calytricha)、山牵牛(Thunbergia grandiflora)等12种植物的观赏价值较高,综合评价等级为Ⅰ级,具有较好的园林应用前景。  相似文献

Justicia areysiana Deflers (Acanthaceae) is an endemic shrub of the monsoon affected coastal mountains of the southern Arabian Peninsula with ballochorous seed dispersal. Its occurrence in a vegetation belt of relics of the (semi)-evergreen Afro-montane woodland characterised by Olea europaea subsp. cuspidata and Juniperus procera above an elevation of c. 750-800 m is strongly dependent on the activity of the Indian Ocean southwest monsoon. Therefore, the species offers a good model to study the palaeo-climate induced habitat fragmentation of the once continuous distribution range of the Afro-montane woodland belt on the southern Arabian Peninsula. Thirteen populations from the total distribution range of the species were analysed using AFLP fingerprinting and show a distinct geographic distribution pattern with a main split between eastern (Hawf Mountains/Dhofar) and western/central populations (Jabal Urays, Jabal Gedu, Kor Seiban). Our results on the genetic differentiation of populations clearly demonstrate the strong isolation among populations and confirm geographical patterns found in former studies based on chloroplast haplotypes. The dating of the main regional split between eastern and western/central populations based on nrDNA ITS sequence variation, is dated to 0.8–1.8 Myr before present. This indicates drastic habitat fragmentation processes during the Pleistocene which are compatible with periods of aridisation assumed for the African continent at around 1.7 Myr and 1.0 Myr before present.  相似文献

Extracts from Justicia adhatoda L. (Acanthaceae) strongly reduced the fitness of the mosquito, Aedes aegypti Linn. The methanolic extracts inhibited several enzymes responsible for protecting insects from oxidative and other damage, including glutathione‐S‐transferase, superoxide dismutase, cytochrome P450, and α‐ and β‐esterases. They increased repellency (maximum repellency at 100 ppm) in host‐seeking adult females using the “arm‐in cage assay.” Histopathological examination showed the extracts led to serious midgut cell damage. Justicia adhatoda extracts led to reduced fecundity and oviposition of gravid females compared to controls. The extracts led to substantially reduced A. aegypti survival. We infer that the extracts have potential to reduce pathogen transmission by suppressing population growth of A. aegypti, and possibly other mosquito species.  相似文献

Elenoside is a cytotoxic arylnapthalene lignan (NSC 644013-W/1) derived from Justicia hyssopifolia (Family: Acanthaceae). The neuropharmacological activity of this lignan, a beta-D-glucoside was studied. The LD50 (24 h) of elenoside in mice is 305 +/- 7 mg/kg by i.p. route. In the present study elenoside was given to rats at doses of 25 and 50 mg/kg, and its effects on locomotor activity (Varimex test), muscular relaxant activity, open-field test and with chlorpromazine, 10 mg/kg was compared. On Varimex test, spontaneous activity was reduced. Elenoside produced a reduction in the permanence time on muscular relaxant activity (traction test). On open-field test, ambulation and rearing were reduced compared with the control group and an increase in boluses of dose-dependent rate was obtained. Thus it can be concluded that elenoside has central sedative effects and possible application in anxiety conditions.  相似文献

We provide the first information on the morphology of the immature stages (egg, larva, and pupa), oviposition and larval behavior, and host plant, for the Brazilian crescent butterfly Ortilia liriope (Cramer), based on material from Santarém Municipality, Pará State, Northern Brazil. Females of O. liriope lay eggs in clusters. After hatching, larvae eat the exochorion and remain gregarious in all but the final instar. The host plant recorded in the study site is Justicia sp. (Acanthaceae). Despite the scarcity of data on the immature stages of Neotropical Melitaeini, we can already say that some morphological and behavioral traits observed in the immature stages of O. liriope are also present in all known genera in this tribe.  相似文献

Summary Studies in Costa Rica on two ornithophilous flowers, Justicia aurea (Acanthaceae) and Columnea glabra (Gesneriaceae) showed a constancy of nectar solute concentrations that was attributed to microclimatic protection by the tubular corolla and to copious nectar secretion, helped by waterproofing by a lipid film on the nectar surface in Justicia and by preferential compass orientation of the flowers of Columnea.Most of the corollas in the patch of Justicia had been pierced by nectar-robbers. A consequence of this damage, together with local microclimate effects, was flower-to-flower variation in the amount and accessibility of nectar and in the nature and concentration of its minor components, notably amino acids.McDade and Kinsman's (1980) finding that nectar secretion could be suppressed by repeated sampling or by nectar-robbing was confirmed.  相似文献

Wood can be distinguished by a range of minor morphological differences and are treated as distinct subspecies with subsp. chiquitana J. R. I. Wood described as new. In a previous study we demonstrated greater abundance of the parasitoid Anagrus epos (Girault) in grape vineyards located downwind of prune trees that function as overwintering habitats. This study examines whether these higher A. epos numbers translated into higher egg parasitism rates of the grape leafhopper, Erythroneura elegantula (Osborn). Paired commercial wine-grape vineyard plots, one with and one without adjacent prune trees, were studied within a complete block design in northern and central California. A. epos was the key mortality factor affecting E. elegantula eggs. Point estimates of A. epos parasitism rates were significantly greater in vineyards associated with prune trees during the first E. elegantula generation in both 1991 and 1992. No consistent differences in parasitism rates were observed during the second or third generations. The results indicated that prune trees enhance early season parasitism rates. Cumulative estimates of egg parasitism across E. elegantula generations demonstrated that enhanced early-season parasitism resulted in a net season-long increase in the degree of mortality imposed by A. epos on E. elegantula eggs. Two factors were found to influence parasitism rates: the abundance of early-season A. epos adults moving into vineyards and the density of E. elegantula eggs in vineyards. Our results indicate that diversification of vineyards using prune trees supports overwintering populations of a specialist parasitoid and thereby alters host-parasitoid interactions to favor enhanced parasitism in vineyards.  相似文献
