SUMMARY: We present a tool called MRSD (Metabolic Route Search and Design) to search and design routes based on the weighted compound transform diagraph. The search submodule returns routes between a source and product compound within seconds in the network of one or multiple organisms based on data from KEGG. The design submodule designs a route from an appointed compound in an interactive mode. The two complementary functions, Metabolic Route Search and Design, can be broadly used in biosynthesis, bio-pharmaceuticals and the other related fields. Re-evaluating the Silk Road's Qinghai Route using dendrochronology   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The opening of the Silk Road vigorously promoted economic and cultural exchanges between Central Asia, Europe, northern India and China. The easternmost section of the ancient trade route was established during the Qin-Han period (221 BC to 220 AD). Previous research has shown that there were three routes: the first is known as the “Hexi Route”, the second is known as the “Juyan Route” or “Prairie Route”, and the third is known as the “Qinghai Route”. The Qinghai Route has long been viewed as merely an auxiliary line of the Hexi Route which was used when the main Hexi Route was blocked by warfare. Others believe that the Qinghai Route was used during the 5th to 6th century when it was controlled by Tuyuhun Kingdom. Yet, by the 7th to 8th century, after the Tibetan occupation of the region, it was no longer a main trade route. Dendrochronology, the study of tree-rings, is a precise dating method that can be accurate to the year. In this study, wood remains excavated from tombs along the ancient Qinghai Route were studied by the means of dendrochronology in order to determine the date and better understand when Qinghai Route was used. In the tombs a lot of commercial goods such as silk products, pottery, lacquer carpentry were found. The date of the tombs determined by dendrochronology when viewed together with other archaeological data, showed that from the early Tang Dynasty to the High Tang Dynasty (early 7th century to late 8th century), the Qinghai Route was one of the routes of communication between the West and China. This disproves the hypothesis that this route was only used during the 5th to 6th century.  相似文献

Soaring migrants travelling through Israel use three principal routes which are used in the opposite directions during the spring and autumn: (1) the Western Route lies mainly along the western edge of the central mountain range, (2) the Eastern Route lies mainly along the Jordan Valley, crossing the mountain range during part of the day, continuing southward along the Dead Sea towards the Sinai, and joining the Western Route in autumn and (3) the Southern-Elat Mountains Route. The geomorphological structure of Israel, with a central mountain range dividing the country roughly into three landscape units, plays a central role in route selection. In the autumn, the Western Route migration axis is deflected at the beginning of the day from east to west for 10–25 km, depending on weather conditions and the flock's roosting locations. Between 10.00 h and 11.00 h, the daily breeze blowing from the Mediterranean Sea influences the migration axis, which is slowly deflected back to the east. A parallel deflection of the migration axis occurs in the Eastern Route in the autumn. The route moves southwest over the eastern slopes of the central mountain range during the morning hours and over the slope, which absorbs direct radiation from the sun, creating good soaring conditions. Towards late afternoon, when the breeze from the sea starts, the axis is deflected to the east, to the Jordan Valley. In the Elat Mountains, the wind flow plays a similar role, but because the topography of the southern Arava Valley causes a change in wind direction, the axis moves during the day in a north-south direction. In addition to the axis movement on a daily scale, a seasonal deflection of the migration axis from east to west also exists. During autumn migration, early migrants (e.g. White Storks Ciconia ciconia) tend to travel on an eastern route, while late migrants (e.g. White Pelican Pelecanus onocrotalus) travel along the Mediterranean coast. This fluctuation was probably because of sub-optimal soaring conditions along the coastal plain during August. In September, temperature differences between the sea and land decrease and the influence of the marine inversion gradually declines, until its influence disappears completely in October. A comparison of the numbers of soaring birds seen over Israel in the autumn and spring shows significant seasonal differences in the use of the various routes. For example, only one species, the Steppe Eagle Aquila nipalensis, flies over the Elat Mountains in the autumn, compared to more than 30 species in the spring. In the autumn, White Storks pass over only along the Jordan Valley axis, whereas in the spring, about half the migrating storks also pass over the western edge of the central mountain range. Honey Buzzards Pernis apivorus fly along the Western Route in large numbers in the autumn, while concentrating almost totally over the Elat Mountains in the spring. These differences are related to the global migration routes between the breeding and the wintering grounds in relation to the Red Sea, which birds avoid crossing, thus causing them to follow different routes in autumn, and spring.  相似文献

The preparation of 6(I)-amino-6(I)-deoxy-2(I-VII),3(I-VII)-tetradeca-O-methyl-cyclomaltoheptaose is reported. Two different routes (A and B), both starting from beta-cyclodextrin (betaCD), have been examined. Route A involved: (i) synthesis of heptakis(6-O-tert-butyldimethylsilyl)-betaCD from betaCD; (ii) permethylation of the secondary hydroxyl groups with methyl iodide and sodium hydride; (iii) desilylation of the primary hydroxyls with ammonium fluoride; (iv) monotosylation at O-6 position of per-(2,3-O-methyl)-betaCD; (5) nucleophilic replacement of the tosyl group with azide anion; (v) reduction of the azido group by catalytic transfer hydrogenation using hydrazine hydrate in the presence of Pd/C in methanol/water. Route B started from the known 6(I)-monoazido-6(I)-monodeoxy-beta-CD (two steps from beta-CD) and entailed: (i) protection of the remaining primary hydroxyls using tert-butyldimethylsilylchloride (TBDMSCl); (ii) exhaustive methylation of the secondary hydroxyls with methyl iodide and sodium hydride; (iii) removal of the TBDMS protecting groups with ammonium fluoride; (iv) reduction of the azido group as above. Route A was found to be less convenient than Route B due to the inherent difficulty of controlling the monotosylation of per-(2,3-O-methyl)-betaCD.  相似文献

There are three main routes for the utilization of fructose by Escherichia coli. One (Route A) predominates in the growth of wild-type strains. It involves the functioning of the phosphoenolpyruvate:glycose phosphotransferase system (PTS) and a fructose operon, mapping at min. 48.7, containing genes for a membrane-spanning protein (fruA), a 1-phosphofructose kinase (fruK) and a diphosphoryl transfer protein (fruB), under negative regulation by a fruR gene mapping at min. 1.9. A second route (Route B) also involves the PTS and membrane-spanning proteins that recognize a variety of sugars possessing the 3,4,5-D-arabino-hexoseconfiguration but with primary specificity for mannose(manXYZ), mannitol (mtlA) and glucitol (gutA) and which, if over-produced, can transport also fructose. A third route (Route C), functioning in mutants devoid of Routes A and B, does not involve the PTS: fructose diffuses into the cell via an isoform (PtsG-F) of the major glucose permease of the PTS and is then phosphorylated by ATP and a manno(fructo)kinase (Mak+) specified by a normally cryptic 1032 bp ORF (yajF) of hitherto unknown function (Mak-o), mapping at min. 8.8 and corresponding to a peptide of 344 amino acids. Conversion of the Mak-o to the Mak+ phenotypeinvolves an A24D mutation in a putative regulatory region.  相似文献

Glycoside hydrolase cellulase family 6 from Trichoderma reesei (TrCel6A) is an important cellobiohydrolase to hydrolyze cellooligosaccharide into cellobiose. The knowledge of enzymatic mechanisms is critical for improving the conversion efficiency of cellulose into ethanol or other chemicals. However, the process of product expulsion, a key component of enzymatic depolymerization, from TrCel6A has not yet been described in detail. Here, conventional molecular dynamics and steered molecular dynamics (SMD) were applied to study product expulsion from TrCel6A. Tyr103 may be a crucial residue in product expulsion given that it exhibits two different posthydrolytic conformations. In one conformation, Tyr103 rotates to open the ?3 subsite. However, Tyr103 does not rotate in the other conformation. Three different routes for product expulsion were proposed on the basis of the two different conformations. The total energy barriers of the three routes were calculated through SMD simulations. The total energy barrier of product expulsion through Route 1, in which Tyr103 does not rotate, was 22.2 kcal·mol?1. The total energy barriers of product expulsion through Routes 2 and 3, in which Tyr103 rotates to open the ?3 subsite, were 10.3 and 14.4 kcal·mol?1, respectively. Therefore, Routes 2 and 3 have lower energy barriers than Route 1, and Route 2 is the thermodynamically optimal route for product expulsion. Consequently, the rotation of Tyr103 may be crucial for product release from TrCel6A. Results of this work have potential applications in cellulase engineering.  相似文献

American woodcock (Scolopax minor; woodcock) migratory connectivity (i.e., association between breeding and wintering areas) is largely unknown, even though current woodcock management is predicated on such associations. Woodcock are currently managed in the Eastern and Central management regions in the United States with the boundary between management regions analogous to the boundary between the Atlantic and Mississippi flyways, based largely on analysis of band returns from hunters. Factors during migration influence survival and fitness, and existing data derived from banding and very high frequency telemetry provide only coarse-scale information to assess factors influencing woodcock migratory movement patterns and behavior. To assess whether current management-region boundaries correspond with woodcock migratory connectivity in the Central Management Region and to describe migration patterns with higher resolution than has been previously possible, we deployed satellite transmitters on 73 woodcock (25 adult and 28 juvenile females, and 8 adult and 12 juvenile males) and recorded 87 autumn or spring migration paths from 2014 to 2016. Marked woodcock used 2 primary migrations routes: a Western Route and a Central Route. The Western Route ran north-south, connecting the breeding and wintering grounds within the Central Management Region. The hourglass-shaped Central Route connected an area on the wintering grounds reaching from Texas to Florida, to sites throughout northeastern North America in both the Eastern Management Region and Central Management Region and woodcock following this route migrated through the area between the Appalachian Mountains and the Mississippi Alluvial Valley in western Tennessee during autumn and spring. Two of 17 woodcock captured associated with breeding areas in Michigan, Wisconsin, or Minnesota migrated to wintering sites in the Eastern Management Region and 12 marked woodcock captured on wintering areas in Texas and Louisiana migrated to breeding sites in the Eastern Management Region. Woodcock that used the Western Route exhibited high concentrations of stopovers during spring in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains and northern Missouri, and along the Mississippi River on the border between Wisconsin and Minnesota, and autumn concentrations of stopovers in southwestern Iowa, central Missouri, the Arkansas portion of the Ozark Mountains, and around the junction of Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Woodcock that used the Central Route exhibited high concentrations of stopovers during spring in northern Mississippi through western Tennessee, western Kentucky, and the Missouri Bootheel, and autumn concentrations of stopovers in northern Illinois, southwestern Ohio, and the portions of Kentucky and Tennessee west of the Appalachian Mountains. We suggest that current management of woodcock based on 2 management regions may not be consistent with the apparent lack of strong migratory connectivity we observed. Salmonella enterica can obtain pyridine from exogenous nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) by three routes. In route 1, nicotinamide is removed from NMN in the periplasm and enters the cell as the free base. In route 2, described here, phosphate is removed from NMN in the periplasm by acid phosphatase (AphA), and the produced nicotinamide ribonucleoside (NmR) enters the cell via the PnuC transporter. Internal NmR is then converted back to NMN by the NmR kinase activity of NadR. Route 3 is seen only in pnuC* transporter mutants, which import NMN intact and can therefore grow on lower levels of NMN. Internal NMN produced by either route 2 or route 3 is deamidated to nicotinic acid mononucleotide and converted to NAD by the biosynthetic enzymes NadD and NadE.  相似文献

The Stock Route Network (SRN) of New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland is a large‐scale system of predominantly roadside remnant vegetation, which was established in the 1800s to allow livestock to be moved. Proposed changes to the management of the SRN could result in some portions of it being sold to private landholders, or subjected to long‐term set‐stocking. This may have potentially negative impacts on some of the values of the SRN. One key feature of the SRN is that it covers low‐lying parts of the landscape, which are poorly protected by national parks. To quantify this, we specifically analysed a 41 million hectare portion of the SRN which transects the NSW ‘wheat‐sheep belt’, characterising its representation of woody vegetation cover and topography, and contrasting this with the National Reserve System. Our analysis revealed that 55% of stock routes occur in low‐lying valley portions of the landscape, compared with only 6% of the National Reserve System. The SRN supports a wide range of vegetation types and, unlike the National Reserve System, is not biased towards heavily forested areas. White Box‐Yellow Box‐Blakeley’s Red Gum woodland, which is listed as critically endangered by the Australian Government, was recorded in 803 (or 17.5%) of the 4575 stock routes in our data set. In contrast, only 10 of the 335 reserves within our spatial study region are known to support small occurrences of this community. Our findings suggest that the protection of the SRN and National Reserve System together may fulfil the ‘representation’ goal of systematic conservation planning far better than the National Reserve System on its own. Future research should quantify which stock routes in particular should receive priority for protection.  相似文献

We argue here that ants and bees have a piecemeal representation of familiar terrain. These insects remember no more than what is needed to sustain the separate and parallel strategies that they employ when travelling between their nest and foraging sites. One major strategy is path integration. The insect keeps a running tally of its distance and direction from the nest and so can always return home. This global path integration is enhanced by long-term memories of significant sites that insects store in terms of the coordinates (direction and distance) of these sites relative to the nest. With these memories insects can plan routes that are steered by path integration to such sites. Quite distinct from global path integration are memories associated with familiar routes. Route memories include stored views of landmarks along the route with, in some cases, local vectors linked to them. Local vectors by encoding the direction and/or distance from one landmark to the next, or from one landmark to a goal, help an insect keep to a defined route. We review experiments showing that although local vectors can be recalled by recognising landmarks, the global path integration system is independent of landmark information and that landmarks do not have positional coordinates associated with them. The major function of route landmarks is thus procedural, telling an insect what action to perform next, rather than its location relative to the nest.  相似文献

The amphipod Dikerogammarus villosus has colonized most of the European main inland water bodies in less than 20 years, having deteriorating effect on the local benthic communities. Our aim was to reveal the species phylogeography in the native Black Sea area, to define the source populations for the colonization routes in continental Europe and for the newly established UK populations. We tested for the loss of genetic diversity between source and invasive populations as well as along invasion route. We tested also for isolation by distance. Thirty three native and invasive populations were genotyped for mtDNA (COI, 16S) and seven polymorphic nuclear microsatellites to assess cryptic diversity (presence of deeply divergent lineages), historical demography, level of diversity within lineage (e.g., number of alleles), and population structure. A wide range of methods was used, including minimum spanning network, molecular clock, Bayesian clustering and Mantel test. Our results identified that sea level and salinity changes during Pleistocene impacted the species phylogeography in the Black Sea native region with four differentiated populations inhabiting, respectively, the Dnieper, Dniester, Danube deltas and Durungol liman. The invasion of continental Europe is associated with two sources, i.e., the Danube and Dnieper deltas, which gave origin to two independent invasion routes (Western and Eastern) for which no loss of diversity and no isolation by distance were observed. The UK population has originated in the Western Route and, despite very recent colonization, no drastic loss of diversity was observed. The results show that the invasion of the killer shrimp is not associated with the costs of loosing genetic diversity, which may contribute to the success of this invader in the newly colonized areas. Additionally, while it has not yet occurred, it might be expected that future interbreeding between the genetically diversified populations from two independent invasion routes will potentially even enhance this success.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: In spite of the large number of studies that have evaluated DNA-based immunization, few have directly compared the immune responses generated by different routes of immunization, particularly in non-human primates. Here we examine the ability of a hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg)-encoding plasmid to induce immune responses in mice and non-human primates (rhesus monkeys: Macaca mulatta) after delivery by a number of routes. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Eight different injected [intraperitoneal (IP), intradermal (ID), intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), intraperineal (IPER), subcutaneous (SC), sublingual (SL), vaginal wall (VW)] and six noninjected [intranasal inhalation (INH), intranasal instillation (INS), intrarectal (IR), intravaginal (IVAG), ocular (Oc), oral feeding (oral)] routes and the gene gun (GG) were used to deliver HBsAg-expressing plasmid DNA to BALB/c mice. Sera were assessed for HBsAg-specific antibodies (anti-HBs, IgG, IgG1, IgG2a) and cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) activity measured. Three of the most commonly used routes (IM, ID, GG) were compared in rhesus monkeys, also using HBsAg-expressing vectors. Monkeys were immunized with short (0-, 4- and 8-week) or long (0-, 12- and 24-week) intervals between boosts, and in the case of GG, also with different doses, and their sera were assessed for anti-HBs. RESULTS: In one study, anti-HBs were detected in plasma of mice treated by five of eight of the injected and none of the six noninjected routes. The highest levels of anti-HBs were induced by IM and IV injections, although significant titers were also obtained with SL and ID. Each of these routes also induced CTL, as did IPER and VW and one noninjected route (INH) that failed to induce antibodies. In a second study, GG (1.6 microg) was compared to ID and IM (100 microg) delivery. Significant titers were obtained by all routes after only one boost, with the highest levels detected by IM. Delivery to the skin by GG induced exclusively IgG1 antibodies (Th2-like) at 4 weeks and only very low IgG2a levels at later times; ID-immunized mice had predominantly IgG1 at 4 weeks and this changed to mixed IgG1/IgG2a over time. Responses with IM injection (in the leg or tongue) were predominantly IgG2a (Th1-like) at all times. IV injection gave mixed IgG1/IgG2a responses. In monkeys, in the first experiment, 1 mg DNA IM or ID at 0, 4, and 8 weeks gave equivalent anti-HB titers and 0.4 microg at the same times by GG induced lower titers. In the second experiment, 1 mg DNA IM or ID, or 3.2 microg by GG, at 0, 12, and 24 weeks, gave anti-HB values in the hierarchy of GG > IM > ID. Furthermore, high titers were retained after a single immunization in mice but fell off over time in the monkeys, even after boost. CONCLUSIONS: Route of administration of plasmid DNA vaccines influences the strength and nature of immune responses in mice and non-human primates. However, the results in mice were not always predictive of those in monkeys and this is likely true for humans as well. Optimal dose and immunization schedule will most likely vary between species. In a previous study, a marine isolate Clostridium sp. EDB2 degraded 2,4,6,8,10,12-hexanitro-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazaisowurtzitane (CL-20) under anaerobic conditions (Bhushan B, Halasz A, Thiboutot S, Ampleman G, Hawari J (2004c) Chemotaxis-mediated biodegradation of cyclic nitramine explosives RDX, HMX, and CL-20 by Clostridium sp. EDB2. Biochem Biophys Res Commun 316:816–821); however, the enzyme responsible for CL-20 degradation was not known. In the present study, we isolated and purified an enzyme, from strain EDB2, responsible for CL-20 degradation. The enzyme was membrane-associated and NADH-dependent and had a molecular weight of 56 kDa (with SDS-PAGE). N-terminal amino acid sequence of enzyme revealed that it belonged to dehydrogenase class of enzymes. The purified enzyme degraded CL-20 at a rate of 18.5 nmol/h mg protein under anaerobic conditions. Carbon and nitrogen mass balance of the products were 100 and 64%, respectively. In LC–MS–MS studies, we detected three different initial metabolites from CL-20, i.e., mono-nitroso derivative, denitrohydrogenated product, and double-denitrated isomers with molecular weight of 422, 393, and 346 Da, corresponding to presumed empirical formulas of C6H6N12O11, C6H7N11O10, and C6H6N10O8, respectively. Identity of all the three metabolites were confirmed by using ring-labeled [15N]CL-20 and the nitro-group-labeled [15NO2]CL-20. Taken together, the above data suggested that the enzyme degraded CL-20 via three different routes: Route A, via two single electron transfers necessary to release two nitro-groups from CL-20 to produce two double-denitrated isomers; Route B, via a hydride transfer necessary to produce a denitrohydrogenated product; and Route C, via transfer of two redox equivalents to CL-20 necessary to produce a mono-nitroso derivative of CL-20. This is the first biochemical study which showed that CL-20 degradation can be initiated via more than one pathway.  相似文献

Animals use information from multiple sources in order to navigate between goals. Ants such as Cataglyphis fortis use an odometer and a sun-based compass to provide input for path integration (PI). They also use configurations of visual features to learn both goal locations and habitual routes to the goals. Information is not combined into a unified representation but appears to be exploited by separate expert guidance systems. Visual and PI goal memories are acquired rapidly and provide the consistency for route memories to be formed. Do established route memories then suppress the guidance from PI? A series of manipulations putting PI and route memories into varying levels of conflict found that ants follow compromise trajectories. The guidance systems are therefore active together and share the control of behavior. Route memories do not suppress the other guidance systems. A simple model shows that observed patterns of control could arise from a superposition of the output commands from the guidance systems, potentially approximating Bayesian inference. These results help show how an insect's relatively simple decision-making can produce navigation that is reliable and efficient and that also adapts to changing demands.  相似文献

We present an appreciation of some of the potential challenges and describe the principles and practices that have shaped the Route Design culture within AstraZeneca. Route of nutrient supply is important in regulation of intestinal protein metabolism, because total parenteral nutrition, compared with enteral feeding, leads to profound atrophy. Participation of the fractional rate of protein synthesis (Ks), their degradation in regulation of gut protein balance, and their possible modulation by specific nutrients are the focus of our work. We developed an in situ experimental system that allows controlled exposure of intestinal mucosa to nutrients systemically, luminally, or both. We examined the effects of systemic glucose and amino acid (AA) infusion in overnight-fasted piglets. Jejunal segments within each piglet were simultaneously, luminally perfused with solutions containing various AAs or glucose. Intravenous infusion of glucose increased mucosal Ks by 16% (P < 0.05), whereas intravenous infusion of AA had no effect on Ks. Systemic glucose infusion had no effect on mRNA levels for components of the ubiquitin-proteasome proteolytic pathway. However, levels of these mRNA were reduced by intravenous or luminal AA supply. This effect was greatest (-50%) when highest tissue concentrations of AAs were achieved by the simultaneous infusion of AA by both routes (P < 0.05). Our findings suggest that not only is the modulation of protein balance in the intestine in response to nutrients in part attributable to anabolic stimulation of protein synthesis initiated by the systemic appearance of glucose, but a fall in protein degradation is also a likely contributor. AAs appear to be a key factor required to reduce expression of genes connected with proteolysis.  相似文献

We investigated the effects of either intravenous (IV) or intrabronchial (IB) treatment with transforming growth factor beta1 (TGF-beta1) during bacterial pneumonia in rats. Immediately following IB Escherichia coli inoculation (T0), animals (n=270) were randomized to receive a single treatment with human recombinant TGF-beta1 either via IV or IB, or via both IV and IB routes, or to receive placebo (human serum albumin, HSA) only. Blood and lung analysis was done at 6 and 168 h after E. coli inoculation. Other animals (n=40) were administered IV TGF-beta1 or HSA at T0 and 6, 12 and 24 h after E. coli inoculation to investigate the effects of multiple treatments also on survival rates alone. All animals received ceftriaxone daily. Route of administration did not influence TGF-beta1 (p=ns for the effect of TGF-beta1 comparing IV vs IB routes) and we averaged over this variable in analysis. The relative risk of death (mean +/- sem) was not altered by either single treatments administered at T0 (-0.18 +/- 0.25, p=0.47) or multiple treatments (0.40 +/- 0.50, p=0.66) of TGF-beta1. Single treatment with TGF-beta1 first decreased and then increased vascular leukocytes at 6 and 168 h, respectively, but increased alveolar leukocytes at both time points (p=0.02 comparing the differing effects of TGF-beta1 on vascular and alveolar leukocytes at 6 and 168 h). Although TGF-beta1 decreased blood and lung bacteria counts at 6 and 168 h, it also increased serum tumor necrosis factor levels and lung injury scores at these time points (p<0.05 for the effects of TGF-beta1 on each parameter at 6 and 168 h together). Thus, while increases in lung leukocyte recruitment with TGF-beta1 were associated with improved microbial clearance in this rat model of pneumonia, worsened lung injury may have negated these beneficial host defense effects, and overall survival was not significantly improved. Despite these harmful effects, additional studies may be warranted to better define the influence of exogenous TGF-beta1 on host defense during acute bacterial infections.  相似文献

于2018年5月—2020年6月对南水北调中线总干渠11个采样点表层水中18种重金属的浓度进行周期性采样监测, 并分别利用USEPA推荐的健康风险评价模型和物种敏感性分布(SSD)法评估常见重金属的人体健康风险水平和水生态风险水平。化学分析结果显示, 18种重金属均被普遍检出, 平均浓度大小排序为: Fe>Sr>Ba>Zn>Ti>Ni>Mn>Cu>V>Cr>As>U>Rb>Se>Pb>Bi>Co>Cd, 均未超出《地表水环境质量标准》(GB 3838—2002)Ⅰ类水标准和《生活饮用水卫生标准》(GB 5749—2006)限值。健康风险评价结果显示, 南水北调中线总干渠表层水中8种常见重金属(Cr、Cd、As、Cu、Pb、Zn、Ni、Mn)对儿童和成人的总健康风险值处于10–8级别。基于构建的8种常见重金属(As、Ni、Pb、Cr、Zn、Se、Cd、Cu)的SSD曲线, 计算重金属对本土淡水生物5%危害浓度(HC5)和潜在影响比例(PAF), 结果显示, 南水北调中线总干渠水中目标重金属对全体水生生物种群的影响比例小于5%, 但Cu和Zn分别可对8.54%和16.77%的藻类种群造成影响, Cr可对6.44%的甲壳类种群造成影响。上述结果表明, 南水北调中线总干渠水中重金属的当前含量不高, 不会对人体造成潜在健康风险; 以保护95%的生物物种为标准, 个别重金属对总干渠中藻类、甲壳类种群可能具有一定潜在风险, 尚有待进一步关注。  相似文献

Roadways may pose barriers to long-distance migrators such as some ungulates. Highway underpasses mitigate wildlife-vehicle collisions and can be an important management tool for protecting migration corridors. In northern California, 3 underpasses were built on United States Route 395 (Route 395) in Hallelujah Junction Wildlife Area (HJWA) in the 1970s for a migratory mule deer (Odocoileus hemionus) herd that had been negatively affected by highway traffic. To determine whether these underpasses were still reducing mule deer mortalities >40 years after construction, we investigated deer use of the underpasses from 2006–2019 using cameras, global positioning system (GPS) collars, and roadkill records. We used occupancy models, approximations of GPS-collared mule deer movement paths, and roadkill locations to estimate the highway crossing patterns of deer. From camera data, there was higher use of the underpasses by deer during migration (spring [Mar–Jun], fall [Oct–Dec]) than in summer (Jul–Sep), when only resident deer were present. Higher underpass usage occurred in the spring compared to fall migrations. Eleven of 21 GPS-collared migrating mule deer crossed Route 395. We estimated 30% of the crossings (by 7 of the 11 deer) occurred south of the underpasses where deer could easily access the highway because of short (1-m high) and deteriorating highway fencing. Roadkill data confirmed that deer-vehicle collisions were occurring south of the underpasses and at the underpasses. This was likely due to deteriorating infrastructure at the underpasses that allows wildlife access to the highway. Overall, our study indicated that although underpasses can provide safe passage for migratory deer decades (>40 yr) after their construction, deteriorating infrastructure such as fencing and gates can lead to wildlife mortalities on highways near underpasses. © 2021 The Wildlife Society.  相似文献
