The synthesis and characterization of several complexes of the composition [{M(terpy)}n(L)](ClO4)m (M = Pt, Pd; L = 1-methylimidazole, 1-methyltetrazole, 1-methyltetrazolate; terpy = 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine; n = 1, 2; m = 1, 2, 3) is reported and their applicability in terms of a metal-mediated base pair investigated. Reaction of [M(terpy)(H2O)]2+ with 1-methylimidazole leads to [M(terpy)(1-methylimidazole)](ClO4)2 (1: M = Pt; 2: M = Pd). The analogous reaction of [Pt(terpy)(H2O)]2+ with 1-methyltetrazole leads to the organometallic compound [Pt(terpy)(1-methyltetrazolate)]ClO4 (3) in which the aromatic tetrazole proton has been substituted by the platinum moiety. For both platinum(II) and palladium(II), doubly metalated complexes [{M(terpy)}2(1-methyltetrazolate)](ClO4)3 (4: M = Pt; 5: M = Pd) can also be obtained depending on the reaction conditions. In the latter two compounds, the [M(terpy)]2+ moieties are coordinated via C5 and N4. X-ray crystal structures of 1, 2, and 3 are reported. In addition, DFT calculations have been carried out to determine the energy difference between fully planar [Pd(mterpy)(L)]2+ complexes Ip-IVp (mterpy = 4′-methyl-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine; L = 1-methylimidazole-N3 (I), 1-methyl-1,2,4-triazole-N4 (II), 1-methyltetrazole-N3 (III), or 3-methylpyridine-N1 (IV)) and the respective geometry-optimized structures Io-IVo. Whereas this energy difference is larger than 70 kJ mol−1 for compounds I, II, and IV, it amounts to only 0.8 kJ mol−1 for the tetrazole-containing complex III, which is stabilized by two intramolecular C-H?N hydrogen bonds. Of all complexes under investigation, only the terpyridine-metal ion-tetrazole system with N3-coordinated tetrazole appears to be suited for an application in terms of a metal-mediated base pair in a metal-modified oligonucleotide.  相似文献

A series of mononuclear acetonitrile complexes of the type [Ru(CH3CN)(L)(terpy)]2+ {L = phen (1), dpbpy (3), and bpm (5)}, and their reference complexes [RuCl(L)(terpy)]+ {L = phen (2), dpbpy (4), and dpphen (6)} were prepared and characterized by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, UV-vis spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammograms (CV). Abbreviations of the ligands (Ls) are phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, dpbpy = 4,4′-diphenyl-2,2′-bipyridine, bpm = 2,2′-bipyrimidine, dpphen = 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline, bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine, and terpy = 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine. The X-ray structures of the two complexes 2 and 3 were newly obtained. The metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) bands in the visible region for 1, 3, and 5 in acetonitrile were blue shifted relative to those of the reference complexes [RuCl(L)(terpy)]+. CV for all the [Ru(CH3CN)(L)(terpy)]2+ complexes showed the first oxidation wave at around 0.95 V, being more positive than those of [RuCl(L)(terpy)]+. The time-dependent-density-functional-theory approach (TDDFT) was used to interpret the absorption spectra of 1 and 2. Good agreement between computed and experimental absorption spectra was obtained. The DFT approach also revealed the orbital interactions between Ru(phen)(terpy) and CH3CN or Cl. It is demonstrated that the HOMO-LUMO energy gap of the acetonitrile ligand is larger than that of the Cl one.  相似文献

Two new neutral, binuclear CuIICuII bis(oxamato) complexes with the formula [Cu2(opba)(pmdta)(MeOH)] · 1/2MeOH · dmf (3) and [Cu2(nabo)(pmdta)(MeOH)] (4), with opba = o-phenylene-bis(oxamato), nabo = 2,3-naphthalene-bis(oxamato), pmdta = N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine and dmf = dimethylformamide have been synthesized and their crystal structures have been determined. The structure of 3 consists of dimeric [Cu2(opba)(pmdta)(MeOH)] entities, joined together by mutual intermolecular Cu?O contacts of the Cu2+ ion of one [Cu(opba)]2− complex fragment and one carboxylate atom of the oxamato group of a second [Cu(opba)]2− complex fragment. The structure of 4 consists of neutral binuclear complexes joined together by hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions, giving rise to an unique supramolecular 1D-chain. The magnetic properties of 3 and 4 were studied by susceptibility measurements versus temperature. For the intramolecular J parameter, identical values of (−114 ± 2) cm−1 (3) and (−112 ± 2) cm−1 (4) were obtained.  相似文献

[Pd(sac)(terpy)](sac)·4H2O (1), [Pt(sac)(terpy)](sac)·5H2O (2), [PdCl(terpy)](sac)·2H2O (3) and [PtCl(terpy)](sac)·2H2O (4) (sac = saccharinate, and terpy = 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR. In 1 and 2, a tridentate terpy ligand together with an N-coordinated sac ligand form the square-planar geometry around the palladium(II) or platinum(II) ions, while one sac anion remains outside the coordination sphere as a counter-ion. X-ray single crystal studies show that the [M(sac)(terpy)]+ ions in 1 and 2 reside in the centers of a hydrogen bonded honeycomb network formed by the uncoordinated sac ions and the lattice water molecules. Complexes 3 and 4 are isostructural and consist of a [M(Cl)(terpy)]+ cation, a sac anion and two lattice water molecules. The [M(Cl)(terpy)]+ ions interact with each other via M-M and π-π stacking interactions and these π interacted units are assembled to a 2D network by water bridges involving the sac ions and lattice water molecules. Convenient synthetic paths for 1-4 are also presented, and spectral, luminescence and thermal properties were discussed.  相似文献

The reaction of [RuIII(edta)(H2O)] (edta4− = ethylenediaminetetraacetate) and [RuIII(hedtra)(H2O)] (hedtra3− = N-hydroxyethylethylenediaminetriacetate) with various purine based 5′-nucleotides (Nu) viz. adenosin-5′-monophosphate (AMP), guanosin-5′-monophosphate (GMP), inosin-5′-monophosphate (IMP) was studied kinetically as a function of [Nu] at various temperatures (15-35 °C) at a fixed pH (4.5). Kinetic results suggest that the binding of 5′-nucleotides takes place in a rapid [Nu] dependent rate-determining step. Kinetic data and activation parameters are accounted for the operation of an associative mechanism. The antitumor activities of both [RuIII(edta)(H2O)] (1) and [RuIII(hedtra)(H2O] (2) have been evaluated using MCF-7 (breast cancer), NCI-H460 (lung cancer) and SF-268 (CNS) cell lines.  相似文献

The ruthenium complexes [RuII(bbp)(L)(Cl)] (1), [RuII(bbp)(L)(H2O)] (2) and [RuII(bbp)(L)(DMSO)] (3) {bbp = 2,6-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine, L = o-iminoquinone} have been synthesized in a stepwise manner starting from [RuIII(bbp)Cl3]. The single crystal X-ray structures, except for the complex 2, have been determined. All the complexes were characterized by UV-Vis, FT-IR, 1H NMR, Mass spectroscopic techniques and cyclic voltammetry. The RuIII/RuII couple for complexes 1, 2, and 3 appears at 0.63, 0.49, 0.55 V, respectively versus SCE. It is observed that complex 2, on refluxing in acetonitrile, results into [RuII(bbp)(L)(CH3CN)], 4 which has been prepared earlier in a different method. The structural, spectral and electrochemical properties of complexes 1, 2 and 3 were compared to those of earlier reported complex 4, [RuII(bbp)(L)(CH3CN)].  相似文献

The distorted square-planar complexes [Pd(PNHP)Cl]Cl (1) (PNHP = bis[2-(diphenylphosphino)ethyl]amine), [M(P3)Cl]Cl [P3 = bis[2-(diphenylphosphino)ethyl]phenylphosphine; M = Pd (2), Pt (3)] and [Pt(NP3)Cl]Cl (5) (NP3 = tris[2-(diphenylphosphino)ethyl]amine), coexisting in the later case with a square-pyramidal arrangement, react with one equivalent of CuCl to give the mononuclear heteroionic systems [M(L)Cl](CuCl2) [L = PNHP, M = Pd (1a); L = P3, M = Pd (2a), Pt (3a); L = NP3, M = Pt (5a)]. The crystal structure of 3a confirms that Pt(II) retains the distorted square-planar geometry of 3 in the cation with P3 acting as tridentate chelating ligand, the central P atom being trans to one chloride. The counter anion is a nearly linear dichlorocuprate(I) ion. However, the five-coordinate complexes [Pd(NP3)Cl]Cl (4), [M(PP3)Cl]Cl (M = Pd (6), Pt (7); PP3 = tris[2-(diphenylphosphino)ethyl] phosphine) containing three fused five-membered chelate rings undergo a ring-opening by interaction with one (4, 6, 7) and two (6, 7) equivalents of CuCl with formation of neutral MCu(L)Cl3 [L = NP3, M = Pd (4a); L = PP3, M = Pd (6a), Pt (7a)] and ionic [MCu(PP3)Cl2](CuCl2) [M = Pd (6b), Pt (7b)] compounds, respectively. The heteronuclear systems were shown by 31P NMR to have structures where the phosphines are acting as tridentate chelating ligands to M(II) and monodentate bridging to Cu(I). Further additions of CuCl to the neutral species 6a and 7a in a 1:1 ratio resulted in the achievement of the ionic complexes 6b and 7b with ions as counter anions. It was demonstrated that the formation of heterobimetallic or just mononuclear mixed salt complexes was clearly influenced by the polyphosphine arrangement with the tripodal ligands giving the former compounds. However, complexes [M(NP3)Cl]Cl constitute one exception and the type of reaction undergone versus CuCl is a function of the d8 metal centre.  相似文献

Complex fac-[RuCl3(NO)(P-N)] (1) was synthesized from the reaction of [RuCl3(H2O)2(NO)] and the P-N ligand, o-[(N,N-dimethylamino)phenyl]diphenylphosphine) in refluxing methanol solution, while complex mer,trans-[RuCl3(NO)(P-N)] (2) was obtained by photochemical isomerization of (1) in dichloromethane solution. The third possible isomer mer,cis-[RuCl3(NO)(P-N)] (3) was never observed in direct synthesis as well as in photo- or thermal-isomerization reactions. When refluxing a methanol solution of complex (2) a thermally induced isomerization occurs and complex (1) is regenerated. The complexes were characterized by NMR (31P{1H}, 15N{1H} and 1H), cyclic voltammetry, FTIR, UV-Vis, elemental analysis and X-ray diffraction structure determination. The 31P{1H} NMR revealed the presence of singlet at 35.6 for (1) and 28.3 ppm for (2). The 1H NMR spectrum for (1) presented two singlets for the methyl hydrogens at 3.81 and 3.13 ppm, while for (2) was observed only one singlet at 3.29 ppm. FTIR Ru-NO stretching in KBr pellets or CH2Cl2 solution presented 1866 and 1872 cm−1 for (1) and 1841 and 1860 cm−1 for (2). Electrochemical analysis revealed a irreversible reduction attributed to RuII-NO+ → RuII-NO0 at −0.81 V and −0.62 V, for (1) and (2), respectively; the process RuII → RuIII, as expected, is only observed around 2.0 V, for both complexes.Studies were conducted using 15NO and both complexes were isolated with 15N-enriched NO. Upon irradiation, the complex fac-[RuCl3(NO)(P-N)] (1) does not exchange 14NO by 15NO, while complex mer,trans-[RuCl3(NO)(P-N)] (2) does. Complex mer,trans-[RuCl3(15NO)(P-N)] (2′) was obtained by direct reaction of mer,trans-[RuCl3(NO)(P-N)] (2) with 15NO and the complex fac-[RuCl3(15NO)(P-N)] (1′) was obtained by thermal-isomerization of mer,trans-[RuCl3(15NO)(P-N)] (2′).DFT calculation on isomer energies, electronic spectra and electronic configuration were done. For complex (1) the HOMO orbital is essentially Ru (46.6%) and Cl (42.5%), for (2) Ru (57.4%) and Cl (39.0%) while LUMO orbital for (1) is based on NO (52.9%) and is less extent on Ru (38.4%), for (2) NO (58.2%) and Ru (31.5%).  相似文献

Copper(II) coordination complexes of the neutral ligand, tris(3-tert-butyl-5-methyl-1-pyrazolyl)methane (L2′), i.e. the copper(II) nitrato complexes [Cu(L2′)(NO3)][Cu(NO3)4]1/2 (1) and [Cu(L2′)(NO3)](ClO4) (2) and the copper(II) chloro complex [Cu(L2′)(Cl)](ClO4) (3), and its anionic borate analogue, hydrotris(3-tert-butyl-5-methyl-1-pyrazolyl)borate (L2), i.e. the copper(II) nitrato complex [Cu(L2)(NO3)] (4) and the copper(II) chloro complex [Cu(L2)(Cl)] (5), were synthesized in order to investigate the influence of ligand framework and charge on their structure and physicochemical properties. While X-ray crystallography did not show any definitive trends in terms of copper(II) atom geometry in four-coordinate copper(II) chloro complexes 3 and 5, different structural trends were observed in five-coordinate copper(II) nitrato complexes 1, 2, and 4. These complexes were also characterized by spectroscopic techniques, namely, UV-Vis, ESR, IR/far-IR, and X-ray absorption spectroscopy.  相似文献

The reaction of trans(N)-[Co(d-pen)2] (pen = penicillaminate) with HgCl2 or HgBr2 in the molar ratios of 1:1 gave the sulfur-bridged heterodinuclear complex, [HgX(OH2){Co(d-pen)2}] (X = Cl (1a) or Br (1b)). A similar reaction in the ratio of 2:1 produced the trinuclear complex, [Hg{Co(d-pen)2}2] (1c). The enantiomers of 1a and 1c, [HgCl(OH2){Co(l-pen)2}] (1a′) and [Hg{Co(l-pen)2}2] (1c′), were also obtained by using trans(N)-[Co(l-pen)2] instead of trans(N)-[Co(d-pen)2]. Further, the reaction of cis · cis · cis-[Co(d-pen)(l-pen)] with HgCl2 in the molar ratio of 1:1 resulted in the formation of [HgCl(OH2){Co(d-pen)(l-pen)}] (2a). During the formations of the above six complexes, 1a, 1b, 1c, 1a′, 1c′, and 2a, the octahedral Co(III) units retain their configurations. On the other hand, the reaction of cis · cis · cis-[Co(d-pen)(l-pen)] with HgCl2 in the molar ratio of 2:1 gave not [Hg{Co(d-pen)(l-pen}2] but [Hg{Co(d-pen)2}{Co(l-pen)2}] (2c), accompanied by the ligand-exchange on the terminal Co(III) units. The X-ray crystal structural analyses show that the central Hg(II) atom in 1c takes a considerably distorted tetrahedral geometry, whereas that in 2c is of an ideal tetrahedron. The interconversion between the complexes is also examined. The electronic absorption, CD, and NMR spectral behavior of the complexes is discussed in relation to the crystal structures of 1c and 2c.  相似文献

Synthesis and crystal structure of two coordination polymers of composition [MnII(H2bpbn)1.5][ClO4]2 · 2MeOH · 2H2O (1) and [CoII(H2bpbn)(H2O)2]Cl2 · H2O (2) [H2bpbn = N,N′-bis(2-pyridinecarboxamido)-1,4-butane], formed from the reaction between [Mn(H2O)6][ClO4]2/CoCl2 · 4H2O with H2bpbn in MeCN, are described. In 1 each MnII ion is surrounded by three pyridine amide units, providing three pyridine nitrogen and three amide oxygen donors. Each MnII center in 1 has distorted MnN3O3 coordination. In 2 each CoII ion is coordinated by two pyridine amide moieties in the equatorial plane and two water molecules provide coordination in the axial positions. Thus, the metal center in 2 has trans-octahedral geometry. In both 1 and 2, the existence of 1D zigzag network structure has been revealed. Owing to π-π stacking of pyridine rings from adjacent layers 1 forms 2D network; 2 forms 2D and 3D network assemblies via N-H?Cl and O-H?Cl secondary interactions. Both the metal centers are high-spin.  相似文献

Iron (II) and iron (III) complexes, [FeII(DEDTC)2(dppe)] · CH2Cl2 (1), [FeII(ETXANT)2(dppe)] (2) (DEDTC = diethyldithiocarbamate, ETXANT = ethyl xanthate, dppe = 1,2-bis (diphenylphosphino) ethane), and [FeIII(DEDTC)2(dppe)] [FeIIICl4] (3) have been synthesized and characterized. Since 3 contains two magnetic centers, an anion metathesis reaction has been conducted to replace the tetrahedral FeCl4 by a non-magnetic BPh4 ion producing [FeIII(DEDTC)2(dppe)]BPh4 (4) for the sake of unequivocal understanding of the magnetic behavior of the cation of 3. With the similar end in view, the well-known FeCl4 ion, the counter anion of 3, is trapped as PPh4[FeIIICl4] (5) and its magnetic property from 298 to 2 K has been studied. Besides the spectroscopic (IR, UV-Vis, NMR, EPR, Mass and XPS) characterization of the appropriate compounds, especially 2, others viz. 1, 3 and 4 have been structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. While FeII complexes, 1 and 2, are diamagnetic, the FeIII systems, namely the cations of 3, and 4 behave as low-spin (S = 1/2) paramagnetic species from 298 to 50 K. Below 50 K 3 shows gradual increase of χMT up to 2 K suggesting ferromagnetic behavior while 4 exhibits gradual decrease of magnetic moment from 60 to 2 K, indicating the occurrence of weak antiferromagnetic interaction. These conclusions are supported by the Mössbauer studies of 3 and 4. The Mössbauer pattern of 1 exhibits a doublet site for diamagnetic (2-400 K) FeII. The compounds 1, 2 and 4 encompass interesting cyclic voltammetric responses involving FeII, FeIII and FeIV.  相似文献

A series of osmium(VI) nitrido complexes containing pyridine-carboxylato ligands OsVI(N)(L)2X (L = pyridine-2carboxylate (1), 2-quinaldinate (2) and X = Cl (a), Br (1b and 2c) or CH3O (2b)) and [OsVI(N)(L)X3] (L = pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate (3) and X = Cl (a) or Br (b)) have been synthesised. Complexes 1 and 2 are electrophilic and react readily with various nucleophiles such as phosphine, sulfide and azide. Reaction of OsVI(N)(L)2X (1 and 2) with triphenylphosphine produces the osmium(IV) phosphiniminato complexes OsVI(NPPh3)(L)2X (4 and 5). The kinetics of nitrogen atom transfer from the complexes OsVI(N)(L)2Br (2c) (L = 2-quinaldinate) with triphenylphosphine have been studied in CH3CN at 25.0 °C by stopped-flow spectrophotometric method. The following rate law is obtained: −d[Os(VI)]/dt = k2[Os(VI)][PPh3]. OsVI(N)(L)2Cl (L = 2-quinaldinate) (2a) reacts also with [PPN](N3) to give an osmium(III) dichloro complex, trans-[PPN][OsIII(L)2Cl2] (6). Reaction of OsVI(N)(L)2Cl (L = 2-quinaldinate) (2a) with lithium sulfide produces an osmium(II) thionitrosyl complex OsII(NS)(L)2Cl (7). These complexes have been structurally characterised by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

One-dimensional (1-D) helical coordination polymers, [MII(H2O)3(BPDC)]n · nH2O (M = Co (1), Fe (2)), have been prepared by the self-assembly of cobalt(II) and iron(II) ions, respectively, with 2,2′-bipyridyl-3,3′-dicarboxylic acid (H2BPDC) in an aqueous solution. X-ray crystal structures of compounds 1 and 2 show that each metal ion displays a distorted octahedral coordination geometry including three water oxygen atoms, one oxygen atom of the carboxylate of a BPDC2− belonging to the adjacent metal ion and two nitrogen atoms from the BPDC2− acting as a chelating ligand. In 1 and 2, one carboxylate oxygen atom of coordinated BPDC2− binds to the neighboring metal ion, which give rise to 1-D helical coordination polymers. The helical chains of 1 and 2 are linked by the hydrogen bonding interactions between the carboxylate oxygen atom of the BPDC2− ion belonging to a chain and the water molecule of the adjacent helical chain, which lead to 2-D networks extending along the ab plane. The supramolecules 1 and 2 show isomorphous structures regardless of the metal ions.  相似文献

Four novel coordination polymers, [Cd(Hdtbb)(dtbb)0.5(DMF)]n (1), {[Cd(dtbb)(2,2′-bpy)(H2O)]·2DMA}n (2), {[Cd2(dtbb)2(1,4-bix)2]·3DMF}n (3) and [Cd(dtbb)(1,4-btx)]n (4) [H2dtbb = 2,2-dithiobisbenzoic acid, 2,2′-bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine, 1,4-bix = 1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene, 1,4-btx = 1,4-bis(triazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene] have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Complexes 1 and 2 possess one-dimensional (1D) infinite structures. The structures of complexes 3 and 4 exhibit two dimensional (2D) frameworks, which mainly due to the differences in the bridging modes of dtbb2− ligand and the effect of the N-donor auxiliary ligands. The infrared spectra, thermogravimetric and luminescent properties were also investigated for these compounds.  相似文献

The new mononuclear bis(oxamato) complex [n-Bu4N]2[Cu(obbo)] (1) (obbo=o-benzyl-bis(oxamato)) has been synthesized as a precursor for trinuclear oxamato-bridged transition metal complexes. Starting from 1 the homotrinuclear complexes [Cu3(obbo)(pmdta)2(NO3)](NO3)·CH2Cl2·H2O (2) and [Cu3(obbo)(tmeda)2(NO3)2(dmf)] (3) have been prepared, where pmdta = N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine, tmeda = N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediamine and dmf = dimethylformamide. The crystal structures of 1-3 were solved. The magnetic properties of 2 and 3 were studied by susceptibility measurements versus temperature. For the intramolecular J parameter values of −111 cm−1 (2) and −363 cm−1 (3) were obtained.  相似文献

Three new organic-inorganic hybrid materials with 4,4′-bipy ligands and copper cations as linkers, [CuII(H2O)(4,4′-bipy)2][CuII(H2O)(4,4′-bpy)2]2H[CuIIP8Mo12O62H12] · 5H2O (1), [CuI(4,4′-bipy)][CuII(4,4′-bipy)]2 (BW12O40) · (4,4′-bipy) · 2H2O (2) and [CuI (4,4′-bipy)]3 (PMo12O40) · (pip) · 2H2O (3) (pip = piperazine; 4,4′-bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine), have been hydrothermally synthesized. The single X-ray structural analysis reveals that the structure of 1 is constructed from [Cu(H2O)(4,4′-bipy)2] complexes into a novel, three-dimensional supermolecular network with 1-D channels in which Cu[P4Mo6]2 dimer clusters reside. To the best of our knowledge, compound 1 is the first complex in which the [P4Mo6] clusters have been used as a non-coordinating anionic template for the construction of a novel, three-dimensional supermolecular network. Compound 2 is constructed from the six-supported [BW12O40]5− polyoxoanions and [CuI(4,4′-bipy)] and [CuII(4,4′-bipy)] groups into a novel, 3-D network. Compound 3 exhibits unusual 3-D supramolecular frameworks, which are constructed from tetrasupporting [PMo12O40]3− clusters and [CuI (4,4′-bipy)n] coordination polymer chains. The electrochemical properties of 2 and 3 have been investigated in detail.  相似文献

The trinuclear [{RuII(bpy)2(bpy-terpy)}2CoII]6+ complex (16+) in which a Co(II)-bis-terpyridine-like centre is covalently linked to two Ru(II)-tris-bipyridine-like moieties by a bridging bipyridine-terpyridine ligand has been synthesised and characterised. Its electrochemical, photophysical and photochemical properties have been investigated in CH3CN. The cyclic voltammetry exhibits two successive reversible oxidation processes, corresponding to the CoIII/CoII and RuIII/RuII redox couples at E1/2 = −0.06 and 0.91 V vs Ag/Ag+ 10 mM, respectively. The one-electron oxidized form of the complex, [{RuII(bpy)2(bpy-terpy)}2CoIII]7+ (17+) obtained after exhaustive electrolysis carried out at 0.2 V is fully stable. 16+ and 17+ are only poorly luminescent, indicating that the covalent linkage of the Ru(II)-tris-bipyridine centre to the cobalt subunit leads to a strong quenching of the RuII excited state by an intramolecular process. Luminescence lifetime experiments carried out at different temperatures indicate that the transfer is more efficient for 17+ compare to 16+ due to lower activation energy. Continuous irradiation of 17+ performed at 405 nm in the presence of P(Ph)3 acting as sacrificial electron donor leads to its quantitative reduction into 16+, whereas similar experiment starting from 16+ with a sulfonium salt as sacrificial electron acceptor converts 16+ into 17+ with a slower rate and a maximum yield of 80%. These photoinduced electron transfers were followed by UV-Visible spectroscopy and compared with those obtained with a simple mixture of both mononuclear parent complexes i.e. [RuII(bpy)3]2+ and [CoII(tolyl-terpy)2]2+ or [CoIII(tolyl-terpy)2]3+ (tolyl-terpy = 4′-(4-methylphenyl)-2,2′:6′,2′′-terpyridine).  相似文献

Three new Cu(II) complexes of formula [Cu(L1)(pyz)(CH3OH)]ClO4 (1), [Cu(L1)(4,4′-bpy)(ClO4)]·0.5H2O (2) and [{Cu(L2)(ClO4)}2(μ-4,4′-bpy)] (3) have been synthesised by using pyrazine (pyz) and 4,4′-bipyridine (4,4′-bpy) and tridentate O,N,O-donor hydrazone ligands, L1H and L2H, obtained by the condensation of 1,1,1-trifluoro-2,4-pentanedione with salicyloylhydrazide and benzhydrazide, respectively. The ligands and their complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopies. Single crystal X-ray structure analysis evidences the metal ion in a slightly deformed square pyramidal geometry in all the complexes. However complexes 1 and 2 are mononuclear with pyz and 4,4′-bpy, respectively, showing an unusual monodentate behavior, while complex 3 is dinuclear with 4,4′-bpy adopting the typical bridging coordination mode. Self assembly of the complex units by hydrogen bonding interactions produces one-dimensional arrangement in each crystal packing. The magnetic characterization of complex 3 indicates a weak antiferromagnetic exchange interaction between the Cu(II) ions (J = −0.96 cm−1) mediated through the long 4,4′-bpy bridge. Electrochemical behavior of the complexes is also discussed.  相似文献

Two new mononuclear bis(oxamato) complexes with the formula [nBu4N]2[M(nabo)] M = Ni (4), Cu (5), with nabo = 2,3-naphthalene-bis(oxamato) have been synthesized as precursors for trinuclear oxamato-bridged transition metal complexes. Starting from 5 the homo-trinuclear complex [Cu3(nabo)(pmdta)2(BF4)](BF4) · MeCN · Et2O (7), with pmdta = N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine, has been prepared. The central N,N′-2,3-naphthalene bridge of 7 is so far the most extended π-conjugated bridge of trinuclear bis(oxamato) type transition metal complexes. The goal of this work was to verify the N,N′-2,3-naphthalene bridge of 7 on its magnetic properties in comparison to the N,N′-o-phenylene bridge of the related homo-trinuclear complex [Cu3(opba)(pmdta)2(NO3)](NO3) · 2MeCN (6) (opba = o-phenylene-bis(oxamato)). The crystal structures of 4-7 were solved. The magnetic properties of 6 and 7 were studied by susceptibility measurements versus temperature. For the intramolecular J parameter, values of −89 cm−1 (6) and −113 cm−1 (7) were obtained. The different J values are discussed based on the crystal structures of 6 and 7.  相似文献
