It was found that acetylcholine (ACh) at the concentration of 10(-3) M inhibited ADH-stimulated water transport through the wall of amphibian urinary bladder. This effect was suggested to be caused by an interaction of ACh with acetylcholinesterase (AChE) rather than by a stimulation of the M- or N-cholinoreceptor. The inhibitory action of ACh was completely suppressed in the presence of various AChE inhibitors (physostigmine, proserine, armine, Gd-42, acridine-iodmethylate), while an inhibitor of butyrylcholinesterase (BuChE), AD-4, failed to affect it. In accord with this observation the activity of AChE (but not of BuChE) was demonstrated in the urinary bladder epithelium. Since, in addition to the hydrosmotic effects of pituitrine, 8-arginine-vasopressin or oxytocin, ACh blocked also effects of forskolin or cyclic AMP, one may conclude that it acts at some post-cyclic AMP production stage. AChE-dependent inhibition of the ADH-stimulated water transport decreased significantly when the serosal pH was raising from 7.2 to 8.0, but was augmented by serosal acidification (pH 6.8), whereas such pH alterations did not affect the activity of the epithelium AChE. The effect of ACh under consideration was suppressed by adding amiloride (10(-4) M) to the serosal solution. Similarly, the ACh effect was blocked by an inhibitor of Ca-dependent K+ channels, 4-aminopyrdine, which in addition prevented the inhibition of the ADH-stimulated water transport by the serosal acidification. It was noteworthy that some other K+ channel blockers (Ba2+, Cs+, tetraethylammonium, apamine, quinine) did not affect either the water transport or the antipituitrine effect of ACh. In conclusion, we suggest that the inhibitory action of ACh on the ADH-stimulated water transport in the urinary bladder is mediated through the intracellular acidification resulting from ACh interaction with AChE. It is unlikely that the acidification is merely a consequence of the ACh hydrolysis, rather the ACh-AChE interaction induces directly an increase in the proton conductivity of the basolateral membrane of the urinary bladder epithelium.  相似文献

The aim of our present study was to investigate the short-circuit current response to carbachol in cultured rat cauda epididymal epithelia and the signal transduction mechanisms involved. Carbachol added basolaterally induced a concentration-dependent increase in short-circuit current (Isc) across the epididymal epithelium consisting of a rapidly rising phase and a long term sustained response. The response was almost abolished by removing Cl(-) from the extracellular medium and blockable by pretreating the tissues with DPC, indicating a substantial contribution of Cl(-) secretion to the carbachol-induced response. The muscarinic acetylcholine receptor antagonist atropine inhibited the response, but the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors antagonist curarine had no effect, suggesting that only the muscarinic acetylcholine receptors mediated the secretory response of the basolateral side of rat cauda epididymal epithelium to carbachol. Addition of carbachol to the apical side of the tissue was found not to elicit an Isc response. These results suggested that muscarinic receptors are present in the basolateral side of rat cauda epididymal epithelium. Activation of these receptors by acetylcholine released from the nerve endings regulates epididymal transepithelial Cl(-) secretion. Cholinergic stimulation therefore contributes to the formation of luminal fluid microenvironment.  相似文献

This study addressed the mechanisms by which dietary zinc affects diarrhoea and aimed to study possible interactions between zinc status and the presence of zinc in vitro on secretagogue-induced secretion from piglet intestinal epithelium in Ussing chambers. In addition, it was studied from which side of the epithelium zinc would perform an effect and if copper caused similar effects. Twenty-four piglets (28 days of age) were weaned and fed diets containing 100 or 2500 mg zinc/kg (as ZnO) for 5 or 6 days (12 piglets per group). Intestinal epithelium underwent the following 5 treatments: zinc at the mucosal side (M(Zn)), zinc at the serosal side (S(Zn)), zinc at both sides (MS(Zn)), copper at both sides (MS(Cu)) or water at both sides (control). Provoked secretion in terms of short circuit responses to serotonin (5-HT) and vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) were measured. Zinc at the serosal or both sides of the epithelium reduced the 5-HT induced secretion (P<0.001); however, due to interactions (P=0.05) the effect of zinc in vitro was only present in the ZnO(100) group. The secretion caused by VIP was not affected by the diet (P=0.33), but zinc at the serosal side or both sides reduced the response to VIP (P<0.001). Copper reduced the 5-HT and VIP induced secretion to a larger extent than zinc. However, copper also disturbed intestinal barrier function as demonstrated by increased transepithelial conductance and increased short circuit current, which was unaffected by zinc. In conclusion, zinc at the serosal side of piglet small intestinal epithelium attenuated 5-HT and VIP induced secretion in vitro. These in vitro studies indicate that in vivo there will be no positive acute effect of increasing luminal Zn concentration on secretagogue-induced chloride secretion and that zinc status at the serosal side of the epithelium has to be increased to reduce secretagogue-induced chloride secretion and thereby diarrhoea.  相似文献

Protective role of epithelium in the guinea pig airway   总被引:9,自引:0,他引:9
We developed an in vitro system to assess the role of the epithelium in regulating airway tone using the intact guinea pig trachea (J. Appl. Physiol. 64: 466-471, 1988). This method allows us to study the response of the airway when its inner epithelial surface or its outer serosal surface is stimulated independently. Using this system we evaluated how the presence of intact epithelium can affect pharmacological responsiveness. We first examined responses of tracheae with intact epithelium to histamine, acetylcholine, and hypertonic KCl when stimulated from the epithelial or serosal side. We then examined the effect of epithelial denudation on the responses to these agonists. With an intact epithelium, stimulation of the inner epithelial side always caused significantly smaller changes in diameter than stimulation of the outer serosal side. After mechanical denudation of the epithelium, these differences were almost completely abolished. In the absence of intact epithelium, the trachea was 35-fold more sensitive to histamine and 115-fold more sensitive to acetylcholine when these agents were applied to the inner epithelial side. In addition, the presence of an intact epithelium almost completely inhibited any response to epithelial side challenge with hypertonic KCl. These results indicate that the airway epithelial layer has a potent protective role in airway responses to luminal side stimuli, leading us to speculate that changes in airway reactivity measured in various conditions including asthma may result in part from changes in epithelial function.  相似文献

High potassium diets lead to an inverse regulation of sodium and magnesium absorption in ruminants, suggesting some form of cross talk. Previous Ussing chamber experiments have demonstrated a divalent sensitive Na(+) conductance in the apical membrane of ruminal epithelium. Using patch-clamped ruminal epithelial cells, we could observe a divalent sensitive, nonselective cation conductance (NSCC) with K(+) permeability > Cs(+) permeability > Na(+) permeability. Conductance increased and rectification decreased when either Mg(2+) or both Ca(2+) and Mg(2+) were removed from the internal or external solution or both. The conductance could be blocked by Ba(2+), but not by tetraethylammonium (TEA). Subsequently, we studied this conductance measured as short-circuit current (I(sc)) in Ussing chambers. Forskolin, IBMX, and theophylline are known to block both I(sc) and Na transport across ruminal epithelium in the presence of divalent cations. When the NSCC was stimulated by removing mucosal calcium, an initial decrease in I(sc) was followed by a subsequent increase. The cAMP-mediated increase in I(sc) was reduced by low serosal Na(+) and serosal addition of imipramine or serosal amiloride and depended on the availability of mucosal magnesium. Luminal amiloride had no effect. Flux studies showed that low serosal Na(+) reduced (28)Mg fluxes from mucosal to serosal. The data suggest that cAMP stimulates basolateral Na(+)/Mg(2+) exchange, reducing cytosolic Mg. This increases sodium uptake through a magnesium-sensitive NSCC in the apical membrane. Likewise, the reduction in magnesium uptake that follows ingestion of high potassium fodder may facilitate sodium absorption, as observed in studies of ruminal osmoregulation. Possibly, grass tetany (hypomagnesemia) is a side effect of this useful mechanism.  相似文献

The effect of removing the airway epithelium on the responses of canine airways of decreasing diameter to contractile and relaxing agonists was explored. Three orders of canine bronchus were studied: second order (lobar bronchus), third order (segmental bronchus), and fourth order (subsegmental bronchus). Paired rings of tissue, with and without epithelium, were placed in organ chambers in physiological salt solution gassed with 95% O2-5% CO2 and maintained at 37 degrees C. For second- and third-order bronchi, epithelium removal caused significant left-ward shifts of the concentration-effect curves for 5-hydroxytryptamine, histamine, and acetylcholine. In fourth-order bronchi, there was no significant shift for any of the contractile agonists. Isoproterenol (during contractions evoked by acetylcholine) induced concentration-dependent relaxations that were significantly greater in bronchi with than in those without epithelium. This effect was most prominent in fourth-order bronchi. These results suggest that 1) the canine airway epithelium releases a relaxing factor, 2) in larger airways the major effect is reduction of contractile responses, and 3) in smaller airways the major effect is enhancement of relaxing responses.  相似文献

By Ussing's flux chamber method the effect of ATP and acetylcholine (ACh) on the sodium transport was studied in bullfrog colon. The results obtained are as follows; 1. ATP added to the mucosal medium caused biphasic changes in the transmural potential difference (P.D.) and short-circuit current (S.C.C.), although serosal ATP was ineffective. After an initial rapid and transient rise, both the P.D. and S.C.C. increased in parallel to reach a peak in about 10 min suggesting that the tissue conductance is little affected by ATP. Addition of ouabain to the serosal fluid depressed both the P.D. and S.C.C. and abolished the electrical responses to ATP. The application of ouabain to the mucosal side did not cause any significant depression. These results can be explained in terms of stimulation of sodium pump by ATP added to the mucosal medium. 2. ACh added to either the mucosal or the serosal medium caused increased in the P.D. and the S.C.C. The serosal application was more effective than the mucosal application. The increase in S.C.C. was more remarkable than that in the P.D., indicating an increase in the tissue conductance. It is suggested that ACh stimulates ion transport systems by changing the membrane permeability of the colon.  相似文献

Abstract: The experiments described in this paper were designed to test whether increasing choline availability over normal physiological levels increases acetylcholine synthesis in the cat's superior cervical ganglion. When ganglia were perfused with Krebs solution, an increase in the medium's choline concentration over physiological (10−3M) levels increased tissue choline but did not increase tissue acetylcholine or the release of acetylcholine from stimulated ganglia. However, increasing plasma choline in the whole animal increased ganglionic acetylcholine levels. The basis for this difference in the effects of in vivo and in Vitro exposure to elevated choline levels on the tissue acetylcholine content was found to involve plasma factor(s), rather than indirect actions of choline, and the acetylcholine content of isolated ganglia was increased when the tissue was perfused with plasma, instead of Krebs solution, containing 10−3M-choline. The extra acetylcholine generated by this procedure was associated with a subsequent transient increase in transmitter release during short intervals of stimulation, but most of the extra acetylcholine was not readily available for release from stimulated ganglia. It is concluded that increasing choline available to sympathetic ganglia over physiological concentration does not have a sustained effect on the turnover of releasable transmitter under the conditions of these experiments.  相似文献

Summary A simple numerical model for theNecturus gallbladder epithelium is presented. K+, Na+ and Cl cross the mucosal and serosal membranes as well as the junctions by means of electrodiffusion; furthermore the mucosal membrane contains a neutral entry mechanism for NaCl and the serosal membrane contains an active pump for K+ and Na+. The values which have been used for the model are taken from the literature. The model can only attain steady states if the resistance of the serosal membrane is lower than 1000 cm2. Values reported in the literature for the resistance of this membrane vary from about 3000 to about 100 cm2. We shall argue, however, that the higher estimates are in error because they are derived from a model of the tissue in which each membrane and the junction are modeled by a resistor; this procedure is invalid because the resistance of the lateral intercellular space relative to the resistance of the tight junctions is neglected and consequently the resistance of the serosal membrane is overestimated by a factor of about four. Apart from predicting a realistic steady state at normal external concentrations the model can predict quantitatively several experimental results obtained from the living epithelium. We have focused on the experiments which test the permeabilities of the serosal membrane and the properties of the pump:i) Replacement of serosal Cl by an impermeant ion.ii) Replacement of serosal K+ by Na+.iii) Inhibiting the (Na+, K+)-pump. The best correspondence between model and experiments is obtained when the pump is assumed to be electrogenic (or rheogenic) with a ratio of coupling between Na+ and K+ of 32. In this case both model and direct experiments (also presented in this paper) show an initial abrupt depolarization of 6 to 7 mV. The model also shows that it cannot be concluded fromi andii that the Cl permeability of the serosal membrane is low. The model explains, even with high passive Cl permeabilities, why the intracellular Cl concentration is relatively unaffected by paracellular currents, a fact which in other epithelia has been taken as an implication of a low Cl permeability of the serosal membranes.  相似文献

The effects of theophylline and dibutyryl cyclic AMP, on in vitro unidirectional galactose fluxes across the mucosal and serosal borders of rabbit ileum have been studied. 1. When Ringer [galactose] = 2mM, theophylline and dibutyryl cyclic AMP reduce both mucosal-serosal and serosal-mucosal galactose flux by approx. 50%. The K1 for theophylline inhibition of flux in both directions is 2 mM. 1 mM dibutyryl cyclic AMP elicits a maximal inhibitory response. Concurrent with the inhibition in transmural galactose fluxes, theophylline and dibutyryl cyclic AMP increase the tissue accumulation of [galactose] and the specific-activity ratio R of 3H : 14C-labelled galactose coming from the mucosal and serosal solutions respectively. It is deduced that theophylline and dibutyryl cyclic AMP are without effect on the mucosal unidirectional permeability to galactose but cause a symmetrical reduction in serosal entry and exit permeability. 2. Reduction in the asymmetry of the mucosal border to galactose by reducing Ringer [Na], raising Ringer [galctose] or adding ouabain reduces the theophylline-dependent increase in galactose accumulation. 3. Hypertonicity in the serosal solution increases the permeability of the serosal border to galactose and reduces tissue galactose accumulation. Serosal hypertonicity partially reverses the theophylline-depedent effects on galactose transport. Replacing Ringer chloride by sulphate abolishes the theophylline-dependent effects on galactose transport. 4. It is considered that the theophylline-dependent increase in galactose accumulation results from the reduction in serosal permeability. This is shown to be a quantitatively consistent inference. 5. Further support for the view that the asymmetric transport of galactose in rabbit ileum results from convective-diffusion is presented.  相似文献

In agreement with previous reports, we found that absence of K+ from the serosal bath of the toad urinary bladder substantially impairs vasopressin and cAMP-stimulated water flow. The decreased response to vasopressin appears unrelated to prostaglandin production since inhibition of endogenous prostaglandins by pretreatment with naproxen 10(-5) M failed to prevent the effect seen with K+-free Ringer's. The resistance to vasopressin does not appear to be directly related to epithelial K+ concentrations, in that maneuvers leading to decreased intracellular K+ failed to produce a similar effect. A more likely explanation appears to be that K+-free Ringer's induces an increased cytosolic Ca++ which, in turn, decreases the hydrosmotic effects of vasopressin. Several lines of evidence argue in favor of such an explanation: (a) Increased cytosolic Ca++ had been found in other tissues with low extracellular K+; (b) The resistance to vasopressin decreases with decreased serosal Ca++; (c) The effects of K+-free Ringer's are not additive in situations believed to have increased epithelial Ca++, i.e. replacement of serosal Na+ with choline; (d) The effects of K+-free serosal bathing medium could be both prevented and/or reversed if already established by increasing serosal bath, and presumably intracellular, pH, which is believed to decrease intracellular Ca++.  相似文献

Prostaglandin D2 (PGD2) has marked inhibitory effects on the canine proximal colonic epithelium set up in Ussing chambers. These effects involved a receptor that is pharmacologically distinct from the classical DP, presumably the recently identified CRTH2/DP2 variety. The mechanism underlying these effects was studied using 13,14-dihydro-15-keto-PGD2 (DK-PGD2), a stable metabolite of the parent prostanoid. The metabolite quickly reversed short circuit currents (I(sc)) stimulated by diverse agonists. Greater inhibitory effects were seen with stimulants such as carbachol and cyclopiazonic acid (CPA) rather than with forskolin or protein kinase A activators. Since the same stimulants were differentially affected by removal and replacement of serosal Ca2+, we tested the possibility that the prostanoid inhibited basolateral Ca2+ entry. In the absence of serosal Ca2+, tissues primed with CPA demonstrated concentration-dependent increases in I(sc), to cumulative additions of Ca2+ or Sr2+, though the former was more potent. Cl- removal and pretreatment with bumetanide virtually abolished responses, suggesting that the increase in I(sc) reflected Ca2+ dependent Cl- secretion. Though responses were insensitive to the L-type channel antagonist, verapamil, a marked inhibition was seen in the presence of metal cations (Gd3+, Cd2+, and La3+). Pretreatment with DK-PGD2 inhibited responses to Ca2+ in CPA-primed tissues. Thus, basolateral Ca2+ entry via store-operated Ca2+ channels may be the locus for the inhibitory effects of PGD2 in this tissue. These results could indicate a potential transduction mechanism for the novel DP receptor variously called CRTH2 or DP2.  相似文献

The effect of epithelium removal on the responses of porcine airways to exogenously applied agonists and nerve stimulation was examined. Paired rings of third- (segmental), fourth- and fifth-order (subsegmental) bronchi, with and without epithelium, were placed in organ chambers in physiological salt solution (95% O2-5% CO2, 37 degrees C). Removal of the epithelium caused a leftward shift in the concentration-effect curve for acetylcholine (3rd and 4th order). A similar shift occurred for histamine (3rd and 5th order). The relaxation to isoproterenol was reduced by epithelium removal in a similar fashion in the three orders. Removal of the epithelium reduced the maximal response to KCl (3rd and 4th order) and acetylcholine (5th order). The peak response to nerve stimulation showed a significant rightward shift in the absence of epithelium. In fifth-order bronchi, tissues with epithelium showed a significantly greater degree of fade of the response to sustained electrical stimulation. Thus both epithelium-derived relaxing and contracting factors may be released in porcine airways.  相似文献

Summary The optical sectioning video imaging technique was used for measurements of the volume of mitochondria-rich (m.r.) cells of the isolated epithelium of toad skin. Under short-circuit conditions, cell volume decreased by about 14% in response to bilateral exposure to Cl-free (gluconate substitution) solutions, apical exposure to ouabain resulted in a large increase in volume, which could be prevented either by the simultaneous application of amiloride in the apical solution or by the exposure of the epithelium to bilateral Cl-free solutions. Unilateral exposure to a Cl-free solution did not prevent ouabain-induced cell swelling. It is concluded that m.r. cells have an amiloride-blockable Na conductance in the apical membrane, a ouabain-sensitive Na pump in the basolateral membrane, and a passive Cl permeability in both membranes. From the initial rate of ouabain-induced cell volume increase the active Na current carried by a single m.r. cell was estimated to be 9.9±1.3 pA. Voltage clamping of the preparation in the physiological range of potentials (0 to –100 mV, serosa grounded) resulted in a cell volume increase with a time course similar to that of the stimulation of the voltage-dependent activation were prevented by exposure of the tissue to a Cl-free apical solution. The steady-state volume of the m.r. cells increased with the clamping voltage, and at –100 mV the volume was about 1.15 times that under short-circuit conditions. The rate of volume increase during current passage was significantly decreased by lowering the serosal K concentration (K i ) to 0.5mm, but was independent of whether K i was 2.4, 5, or 10mm. This indicates that the K conductance of the serosal membrane becomes rate limiting for the uptake of KCl when K i is significantly lower than its physiological value. It is concluded that the voltage-activated Cl currents flow through the m.r. cells and that swelling is caused by an uptake of Cl ions from the apical bath and K ions from the serosal bath. Bilateral exposure of the tissue to hypo- or hypertonic bathing solutions changed cell volume without detectable changes in the Cl conductance. The volume response to external osmotic perturbations followed that of an osmometer with an osmotically inactive volume of 21%. Using this value and the change in cell volume in response to bilateral Cl-free solutions, we calculated an intracellular steady-state Cl concentration of 19.8±1.7mm (n=6) of the short-circuited cell.  相似文献

Transfer of glucose and galactose in vitro from the mucosal to serosal side of the entire small intestine was significantly reduced in male rats 10 days after infection with 100 or more larvae. Transfer of hexoses across the mucosa into the gut tissue by the entire intestine was generally not significantly affected by infection but transfer from the tissue to serosal fluid was significantly reduced, the reductions occurring throughout the intestine, and the metabolism of glucose significantly increased, the increases occurring in the distal two-thirds of the intestine. Females showed a reduction in serosal glucose transfer at an infection level of 50 larvae whereas males did not and the uninfected distal third of the intestine showed the same response to infection as the infected proximal third. The length of the intestine increased significantly at infection levels of 100 or more larvae.  相似文献

The effects of ion substitutions on the Cl- secretion rate and tissue conductance of isolated short-circuited opercular epithelia from sea-water-adapted Fundulus heteroclitus were investigated. Serosal Na+ substitution had the same effect on the Cl- secretion rate that serosal Cl- substitution had on the active component of the Cl- efflux. This similarity indicated a 1:1 Na-Cl requirement for active Cl- secretion across this epithelium, which supports the proposal of a coupled NaCl uptake mechanism at the serosal membrane of Cl- secretory epithelia. Mucosal Na+ and Cl- substitutions appeared to inhibit completely the active Cl- secretory flux. The reductions in the tissue conductance with mucosal ion substitutions suggested that this effect can be attributed to a blocking of the apical membrane Cl- conductance. These mucosal ion effects suggested a possible direct regulatory influence of the external salinity on the Cl- secretion rate and tissue conductance, which provide alternative explanations for observations with the teleost gill epithelium.  相似文献

Studies were carried out on the isolated urinary bladder of the toad, Bufo marinus, in order to explain the dependence of active sodium transport on the presence of potassium, in the serosal medium. Attempts to obtain evidence for coupled sodium-potassium transport by the serosal pump were unsuccessful; no relation between sodium transport and uptake of K42 from the serosal medium was demonstrable. Rather, the predominant effect of serosal potassium appeared to be operative at the mucosal permeability barrier, influencing the permeability of this surface to sodium. The mucosal effects of serosal potassium were correlated with effects on cellular cation content. When sodium Ringer's solution was used as serosal medium, removal of potassium resulted in significant decrease in tissue potassium content, commensurate increase in tissue sodium content, and marked depression of mucosal permeability and sodium transport. When choline replaced sodium in the serosal medium, removal of potassium resulted in only slight alterations of tissue electrolyte content, and effects on mucosal permeability and sodium transport were minimal.  相似文献

Whole skins and isolated epithelia were bathed with isotonic media (congruent to 244 mOsm) containing sucrose or glucose. The serosal osmolality was intermittently reduced (congruent to 137 mOsm) by removing the nonelectrolyte. Transepithelial and intracellular electrophysiological parameters were monitored while serosal osmolality was changed. Serosal hypotonicity increased the short-circuit current (ISC) and the basolateral conductance, hyperpolarized the apical membrane (psi mc), and increased the intracellular Na+ concentration. The increases in apical conductance and apical Na+ permeability (measured from Goldman fits of the relationship between amiloride-sensitive current and psi mc) were not statistically significant. To verify that the osmotically induced changes in ISC were mediated primarily at the basolateral membrane, the basolateral membrane potential of the experimental area was clamped close to 0 mV by replacing the serosal Na+ with K+ in Cl--free media. The adjoining control area was exposed to serosal Na+. Serosal hypotonicity produced a sustained stimulation of ISC across the control, but not across the adjoining depolarized tissue area. The current results support the concept that hypotonic cell swelling increases Na+ transport across frog skin epithelium by increasing the basolateral K+ permeability, hyperpolarizing the apical membrane, and increasing the electrical driving force for apical Na+ entry.  相似文献

Summary The standard one-dimensional model of the unstirred layer is applied in a re-examination of the experimental results of Wright, Smulders and Tormey (Wright, E.M., Smulders, A.P., Tormey, J. McD., 1972,J. Membrane Biol. 7:198) who reported large transients in the osmotic flux of water from the serosal to the mucosal side of rabbit gallbladder epithelium. They initiated osmosis by the addition of sucrose to the mucosal bathing solution (initially, approximately 300mOsm NaCl) and observed that the initial flux was more than ten times its eventual steady-state value; they interpreted this as a consequence of the piling-up of NaCl in the unstirred tissue layer on the serosal side of the epithelium. The present analysis (both steady-state and unsteady) shows that if measured values of layer thickness are used, together with reasonable values of the reduced diffusivity of NaCl in the tissue and of the fraction of tissue available for water flow, then one would predict a discrepancy of only about 10%, not tenfold, between the initial and final values of the flux. Thus the standard model is inconsistent with the observations. Furthermore, Wright et al's results cannot be used to infer that the osmotic permeability of epithelial cell membranes is much larger than steadystate measurements on whole epithelia would indicate. Mucosal-to-serosal flow is also analyzed, and in this case a considerably greater osmotic permeability is predicted; this result is consistent with the observed changes in structure of the lateral intercellular spaces when the direction of flow is reversed.  相似文献
