动物对辽东栎(Quercus liaotungensis Koidz.)坚果的捕食被认为是影响辽东栎坚果命运的主要因素,因此直接影响幼苗的建立和自然更新。在东灵山一个落叶阔叶林中调查了辽东栎坚果被脊椎动物转运和就地消耗状况。在排除部分小型啮齿目动物前后,辽东栎坚果的丢失动态曲线不同。到实验结束时,基本上所有放置的辽东栎坚果都消失了。排除动物前的曲线上有一个拐点,而排除动物后的丢失曲线上有多个拐点。两曲线相似的地方是:最初一两天辽东栎坚果的丢失非常迅速。排除小型啮齿目动物对辽东栎坚果的丢失有影响,然而坚果尺寸和微生境条件对坚果的丢失没有影响。任意2个因子的交互作用以及3个因子的交互作用对辽东栎坚果的丢失也都没有影响。排除啮齿目动物和坚果尺寸对辽东栎坚果的就地消耗有影响,微生境以及其它因子的交互作用对坚果的就地消耗没有影响。在9月份3d捕鼠的时间里,共捕到啮齿目动物3种:大林姬鼠(Apodemus speciosus)、社鼠(Niviveniter confucianus )和花鼠(Tantias sibiricus)。研究结果表明,尽管啮齿目动物的排除能够降低辽东栎坚果的丢失速度,但它们(或者和其它的脊椎动物一起)有足够的能力将辽东栎坚果捕食或搬运到其它地方分散埋藏或将它们搬运到它们的洞穴中用作漫长冬季的主要食物来源。  相似文献

Aphyllocladus spartioides Wedd . is a native and aromatic herb used in traditional medicine, however it is still poorly investigated. In this work, the volatile profile of A. spartioides growing in Hornillos‐Northwest Argentina was determined by GC/MS/FID and the phenolic compounds of hydroethanolic and decoction extracts were analyzed by HPLC‐DAD. The antibacterial potential, antioxidant activity and α‐glucosidase inhibition activity were checked by in vitro assays. The volatile profile allowed the identification of 68 compounds, being α‐pinene and cadinene the main ones. Eighteen phenolics were identified, isorhamnetin derivatives and different phenolic acid derivatives were found in higher amounts, mainly in the hydroethanolic extract. A concentration‐dependent activity was noticed against DPPH·, , and α‐glucosidase, these activities being reported for the first time. Hydroethanolic extract was most active against DPPH·, ·NO and α‐glucosidase (IC50 = 79, 206 and 181 μg/ml). Decoction extract proved to be better against (IC50 = 20 μg/ml). Regarding the antibacterial activity, hydroethanolic extract was more active compared with decoction and essential oil. MICs of 0.3 – 0.6 mg/ml were obtained against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, and Micrococcus luteus. Results suggest that the extracts of A. spartioides from Northwest Argentina may be interesting to use as a source of natural antioxidants/antimicrobials for pharmaceutical incorporations or food supplementation.  相似文献

Supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2), hydrodistillation (HDO), ethanol extraction (EE), and petroleum ether extraction (PE) were used to extract the essential oil and extracts of Cinnamomum camphora fruit in this study. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry was used to identify the volatile components of essential oils and extracts, and 63 compounds were identified. 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2′-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) radical scavenging assay and Ferric reducing ability of plasma (FRAP) assays and the inhibition experiment of bacteria and fungi (Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), Hay bacillus (H. bacillus), Escherichia coli (E. coli), Aspergillus niger (A. niger), Candida albicans (C. albicans)) showed these essential oils and extracts indicated antioxidant and antibacterial activities. S. aureus was the most sensitive to the essential oil (MIC=0.08 mg/ml). Combined with the Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) experiment, HDO (LD50=68.21 μg/ml) was considered to have the most potential natural preservative. Subsequently, the inhibitory mechanism of HDO on bacteria and fungi was explored through extracellular conductivity and SEM, and the possibility of HDO to preserve the freshness of bananas was verified through banana shelf-life experiments. The results suggested these essential oils and extracts of Cinnamomum camphora fruit indicated effectively inhibit the growth of microorganisms on the surface of bananas, extend the shelf-life, and have the potential to become a natural antiseptic ingredient.  相似文献

In studying the spatial and temporal patterns of acorn predation of Quercus liaotungensis Koidz. by vertebrates, Three forests in Dongling Mountain, Northern China, including a broad-leaved forest, a Pinus tabulaeformis Carr. forest and a Larix principis-rupprechtii Mayr. forest were selected in which acorn predation was observed in the peak period of acornfall and the period after natural acornfall. The survival of acorn from predation was influenced by forest types and period of acornfall as well as the interaction of forest types and the period of acornfall. The rates of acorn loss are high in the Pinus tabulaeformis forest and Larix principis-rupprechtii forest in both peak period of acornfall and period after natural acornfall. All the acorns deployed on the ground disappeared within two days. In the broad-leaved forest, the rate of acorn loss was high in the period after natural acornfall, but low in the peak period of acornfall probably due to predator satiation. In addition, the acorn removal by the small mammals under study was different among 3 forests. These results suggest that small vertebrates play an important role in predating and dispersing acorns with different spatial and temporal patterns which may affect the acorn fate in different types of forests and the establishment of seedlings as well as the natural regeneration of Q. liaotungensis population.  相似文献

The essential oils isolated from three organs, i.e., fruits, stems and leaves, and flowers, of the endemic North African plant Scabiosa arenaria Forssk . were screened for their chemical composition, as well as their possible antibacterial, anticandidal, and antifungal properties. According to the GC‐FID and GC/MS analyses, 61 (99.26% of the total oil composition), 79 (98.43%), and 51 compounds (99.9%) were identified in the three oils, respectively. While α‐thujone (34.39%), camphor (17.48%), and β‐thujone (15.29%) constituted the major compounds of the fruit oil, chrysanthenone (23.43%), together with camphor (12.98%) and α‐thujone (10.7%), were the main constituents of the stem and leaf oil. In the case of the flower oil, also chrysanthenone (38.52%), camphor (11.75%), and α‐thujone (9.5%) were identified as the major compounds. Furthermore, the isolated oils were tested against 16 Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, four Candida species, and nine phytopathogenic fungal strains. It was found that the oils exhibited interesting antibacterial and anticandidal activities, comparable to those of thymol, which was used as positive control, but no activity against the phytopathogenic fungal strains was observed.  相似文献

2000年8月底至9月底,在北京东灵山地区小龙门林场对2块辽东栎样地中虫损种子下落动态进行了调查.结果表明:2块样地辽东栎种子产量分别高达19.15和91.23颗·m-2,而2块样地虫损种子较多,分别为49.23和33.38个·m-2,所占种子库比例分别为36.93%和25.96%;1999年研究发现(阎文杰,2000),2样地辽东栎种子产量为13.09和7.24颗·m-2,其中虫损种子产量为10.87和5.90颗·m-2,虫损率高达82.22%和75.43%.2年的观察结果均证实虫损种子在种子雨早期迅速下落,且低产年份的虫损种子在种子库中的比例显著高于高产年份.高比例的虫损种子可能是导致辽东栎实生苗更新率低的重要因素.  相似文献

Predation and dispersal of Quercus liaotungensis Koidz. acorns by Chinese Rock squirrel (Sciurotamias davidianus) and Eurasian jay (Garrulus glandarius) were examined in a Pinus tabulaeformis Carr. forest in Dongling Mountain. Both of them were important acorn dispersal agents. Chinese Rock squirrels frequently forage food in this forest. They consumed a small portion of acorns in situ, while they transported large quantities of acorns in their big cheek pouches. Eurasian jays have great capacity to transport acorns, although they were uncommon visitors to this forest. They carry acorns in their sublingual pouches to other forest. Of the 18 acorns scatterhoarded by a Chinese Rock squirrel, only 3 remained in two different caches 111 days after they were cached. These results indicate that vertebrates play an important role in acorn dispersal and seedling establishment of Quercus liaotungensis.  相似文献

Globba schomburgkii Hook.f. is an ornamental plant that has recently found increasing demand as cut flowers, hence generating a significant number of by‐products from different parts of the plant. To investigate the further applications of these by‐products, twelve crude extracts from rhizomes, stalks, leaves, and flowers were prepared by serial exhaustive extraction. The volatile composition of these extracts was analyzed by GC/MS; a total of 89 compounds were identified, most of which were sesquiterpenes as well as some labdane‐type diterpenes. The antimicrobial activities of these extracts were evaluated, revealing a correlation between the terpenoid content and antibacterial activities. Notably, the dichloromethane extracts of rhizomes and flowers, which contained the highest amount of terpenoids (e. g., α‐gurjunene, guaia‐9,11‐diene, γ‐bicyclohomofarnesal, β‐caryophyllene, and caryophyllene oxide), displayed the most prominent antibacterial activities. This work demonstrates the potential use of the crude extracts from G. schomburgkii as natural antibacterial ingredients for pharmaceutical and other applications.  相似文献

Toddalia asiatica (L.) Lam. is extensively used in traditional medicinal systems by various cultures. Despite its frequent use in traditional medicine, there is still a paucity of scientific information on T. asiatica growing on the tropical island of Mauritius. Therefore, the present study was designed to appraise the pharmacological and phytochemical profile of extracts (methanol, ethyl acetate and water) and essential oil obtained from aerial parts of T. asiatica. Biological investigation involved the evaluation of in vitro antioxidant and enzyme inhibitory potentials. The chemical profile of the EO was determined using gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC/MS) analysis, while for the extracts, the total phenolic (TPC) and flavonoid content were quantified as well as their individual phenolic compounds by LC/MS/MS. Quinic acid, fumaric acid, chlorogenic acid, quercitrin and isoquercitrin were the main compounds in the extracts. Highest total phenolic (82.5±0.94 mg gallic acid equivalent (GAE/g)) and flavonoid (43.8±0.31 mg rutin equivalent (RE/g)) content were observed for the methanol extract. The GC/MS analysis has shown the presence of 26 compounds with linalool (30.9 %), linalyl acetate (20.9 %) and β-phellandrene (7.9 %) being most abundant components in the EO. The extracts and EO showed notable antioxidant properties, with the methanol extract proved to be superior source of antioxidant compounds. Noteworthy anti-acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and anti-butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) effects were recorded for the tested samples, while only the methanol and ethyl acetate extracts were active against tyrosinase. With respect to antidiabetic effects, the extracts and EO were potent inhibitors of α-glucosidase, while modest activity was recorded against α-amylase. Docking results showed that linalyl acetate has the highest affinity to interact with the active site of BChE with docking score of −6.25 kcal/mol. The findings amassed herein act as a stimulus for further investigations of this plant as a potential source of bioactive compounds which can be exploited as phyto-therapeutics.  相似文献

Phytochemical screening of aqueous extract from six medicinal wild plants grown in South-eastern of Tunisia: Atriplex halimus, Teucrium polium, Moricandia arvensis, Deverra tortuoa, Haplophyllum tuberculatum and Polygonum equisetiforme were evaluated. Both decoction and ultrasound assisted extraction were used. Antioxidant, antibacterial proprieties, and phenolic profiling, using LC-ESI-MS method, were assessed. Total polyphenols, flavonoids, and condensed tannins contents ranged from 7.47±0.19 to 22.25±0.49 mg GAE/g Dw, 5.47±0.06 to 7.55±0.07 mg RE/g Dw, and 0.33±0.02 to 19.43±0.64 mg TAE/g Dw, respectively. Moreover, the reducing power and DPPH tests showed that P. equisetiforme (EC50: 12.50±0.50 μg/ml; DPPH⋅+: 213.49±4.24 mg TEAC/g DW), T. polium (EC50: 25.00±1.00 μg/ml; DPPH⋅+: 181.39±9.47 mg TEAC/g DW) as well as H. tuberculatum (EC50: 56.25±0.25 μg/ml; DPPH⋅+: 177.83±5.85 mg TEAC/g DW) extracts were the most effective natural antioxidants. For anti-bacterial activity, the ultrasonic extract of H. tuberculatum showed the highest activity against both P. aeruginosa (13.50±0.71 mm) and S. aureus (13.00±0.00 mm) at 10 mg/ml. Furthermore 24 phenolic compounds were identified, with predominance of quinic acid, gallic acid, protocatechuic acid, syringic acid, p-coumaric acid, trans-ferulic acid, catechin (+), trans-cinnamic and silymarin. These results were further consolidated by to heatmap clustering with P. equisetiforme, H. tuberculatum, T. polium as the main antioxidant and antibacterial sources which supports their domestication and industrial use.  相似文献

The major aim of the present study was to: (i) develop an efficient clonal in vitro propagation procedure, and (ii) investigate and compare phytochemicals, antioxidant, and DNA damage protection activity in methanolic extracts of in vitro raised and mother plant leaves of Quercus serrata. The study succeeded in establishing an efficient clonal micropropagation procedure using nodal segments taken from in vivo growing mother plant. The WP medium supplemented with six-benzyleaminopurine (BAP: 8.88 μM) plus indole-3-acetic acid (IAA: 1.43μM) produced the highest number of shoots/explant having maximum average shoot length. In vitro derived shoots exhibited best rooting upon application of 100μM indole-3-butyric acid for 48 h. Among studied phytochemicals, the total phenol content was recorded higher from in vitro raised plants and total flavonoid in the mother plant. Antioxidant activities were recorded higher in case of in vitro raised plants. Also, the methanolic leaf extract of in vitro raised plants exhibited higher antimutagenic activity that of mother plant. These findings indicate Q. serrata as a promising source of natural antioxidants that could be utilized commercially for the prevention of photoaging and oxidative stress-mediated skin diseases.  相似文献

The essential oils (EOs) from leaves, stems, and whole plant of Piper boehmeriifolium were analyzed using GC/FID and GC/MS. The main constituents of P. boehmeriifolium EOs were β‐caryophyllene, caryophyllene oxide, β‐elemene, spathulenol, germacrene D, β‐selinene, and neointermedeol. The antioxidant potential of the EOs were determined using DPPH?, ABTS?+ and FRAP assays. In ABTS?+ assay, the leaf oil exhibited a remarkable activity with an IC50 value of 7.36 μg/mL almost similar to BHT (4.06 μg/mL). Furthermore, the antibacterial activity of the oils as well as their synergistic potential with conventional antibiotics were evaluated using microdilution and Checkerboard assays. The results revealed that the oils from different parts of P. boehmeriifolium inhibited the growth of all tested bacteria and the minimum inhibitory concentrations were determined to be 0.078 – 1.250 mg/mL. In combination with chloramphenicol or streptomycin, the oils showed significant synergistic antibacterial effects in most cases. Besides, the results of MTT assay indicated that the oil of the whole plant exhibited significant cytotoxic activities on human hepatocellular carcinoma cells (HepG2) and human breast cancer cells (MCF‐7). In summary, the P. boehmeriifolium oils could be regarded as a prospective source for pharmacologically active compounds.  相似文献

The compound of essential oils (EOs) is a key approach to achieving the superimposed efficacy of plant EOs. In this article, grey correlation analysis was applied for the first time to explore the compound ratios and contribution between constituents and the bioactivity of the compound EOs. There were 12 active constituents shared in rosemary and magnolia EOs prepared by negative pressure distillation. With different proportions, these two EOs were blended and analyzed for the antioxidant, bacteriostatic and antitumor effects. According to the results of the inhibition circle, minimum bactericidal and inhibitory concentration, the most obvious inhibition effect of the compound EOs on different strains of bacteria was shown in Staphylococcus aureus. The results of antioxidant test showed that single EO from rosemary had the best antioxidant effect, and its EO content was directly proportional to the antioxidant effect. The cytotoxicity results showed that, there was a significant difference in the lethality of the compound EOs between tumor cells Mcf-7 (human breast cancer cells) and SGC-7901 cells (human gastric cancer cells). Furthermore, single EO from magnolia had an obvious inhibitory effect on the growth of Mcf-7 cells and SGC-7901 cells, and the cell lethality rate was as high as 95.19 % and 97.96 %, respectively. As the results of grey correlation analysis, the constituents with the maximal correlation of inhibitory effects on bacteria were as follows: S. aureus – Terpinolene (0.893), E. coli – Eucalyptol (0.901), B. subtilis – α-Pinene (0.823), B. cereus – Terpinolene (0.913) and Salmonella – α-Phellandrene (0.855). For the ABTS and DPPH scavenging effects, the constituents with the maximal correlation were (−)-Camphor (0.860) and β-Pinene (0.780), respectively. In terms of the effects of the active constituents of compound EOs on the inhibitory activities of tumor cells Mcf-7 and SGC-7901, the three active constituents of γ-Terpinene, (R)-(+)-β-Citronellol and (−)-Camphor were in the top three, and their correlation were Mcf-7 (0.833, 0.820, 0.795) and SGC-7901 (0.797, 0.766, 0.740). Our study determined the contribution degree of active constituents in the antibacterial, antioxidant, and antitumor bioactivities of rosemary-magnolia compound EOs, and also provided new insights for the research of EOs combination formulations.  相似文献

栎属植物的橡子常常受到象甲的侵害, 对橡子存活产生影响, 但有关橡子对象甲幼虫适合度影响的研究尚未见报道。本研究旨在通过对槲栎Quercus aliena种子雨进程以及象甲幼虫逃逸过程的调查, 研究二者之间的进化适应关系。结果表明: 当年槲栎的种子产量为51.92±29.26粒/m2, 虫蛀率达到42.4%。虫蛀的橡子中65%以上被象甲超寄生, 且显著大于完好的橡子。在种子下落过程中, 早期从橡子中逃逸的象甲幼虫要比后期逃逸的大。对某一超寄生的橡子而言, 首先逃逸出的象甲幼虫要比随后逃逸的幼虫大。另外, 从早期脱落的橡子中逃逸的幼虫明显小于后期脱落的橡子。象甲幼虫的干重随着橡子内象甲幼虫数量的增加而显著下降。象甲幼虫寄生数量与橡子的长径和短径呈现明显的正相关关系。尽管超寄生降低了象甲虫的适合度, 但雌性成体象甲产卵过程中偏好选择大橡子在一定程度上可以减少这种不利影响。因此, 小橡子可能更容易逃脱象甲的超寄生而获得较大的存活机会。  相似文献

Quercus species have a plethora of applications, either in wine and wood industries, in human and animal nutrition or in human health. In order to improve the knowledge on this genus, the aim of the present study was to correlate, for the first time, the phenolic composition of different Quercus ilex L. plant tissues (leaves in two maturation stages, acorns, teguments and cotyledons) and different extraction procedures with scavenging and anticholinesterase activities. The hydromethanolic and aqueous extracts obtained showed strong radical scavenging activity against DPPH, superoxide anion radical and nitric oxide radical, leaves exhibiting higher total phenolic content and revealing the best antioxidant properties, followed by tegument and acorns. Concerning the phenolic profile, fifteen compounds were identified and quantified by HPLC‐DAD, ranging from 1568.43 to 45,803.16 mg/kg dried extract. The results indicate that Qilex can be a source of strong antioxidant phenolic compounds with possible interest for food and pharmaceutical industries.  相似文献

The Cistaceae family is well represented in Sardinia, and the Cistus genus is widely used in traditional medicine. Nowadays only few studies have been performed on this genus vegetating in Sardinia in spite of its ethnobotanical importance. Moreover, in the past there have been conflicting opinions among botanists for the exact assignment of the species growing in Sardinia. We started several years ago to carried out studies on this genus and in the present study was to evaluate the in vitro activity of several samples of Cistus salvifolius L., Cistus monspeliensis L., and Cistus albidus L. collected in Sardinia as antimicrobial agents against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and four Candida species and their antioxidant activity using DPPH, ABTS, and FRAP assays. Furthermore, the phenolic content and composition of the extracts were first evaluated. Using statistical multivariate analysis on the complete metabolomics profile of all Cistus species growing wild in Sardinia, we confirmed the botanical classification, and we observed an interesting correlation between metabolomics profile and antioxidant activity.  相似文献

This work aimed to investigate, for the first time, the chemical composition, antioxidant, antiparasitic, cytotoxicity, and antimicrobial activities of the aromatic plant Limonium oleifolium Mill. essential oil (EO) and organic extracts. L. oleifolium aerial parts essential oil was analyzed by GC-FID and GC-MS, and 46 constituents representing 98.25±1.12 % of the oil were identified. γ-Muurolene (10.81±0.07 %), cis-caryophyllene (7.71±0.06 %), o-cymene (7.07±0.01 %) and α-copaene (5.02±0.05 %) were the essential oil main compounds. The antioxidant activity of L. oleifolium EO and organic extracts (MeOH, CHCl3, AcOEt, BuOH) was explored using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), ABTS, β-carotene/linoleic acid, cupric reducing antioxidant capacity (CUPRAC), and ferric reducing power assays. The results showed that L. oleifolium EO exhibit antioxidant capacity (IC50=17.40±1.32 μg/mL for DPPH assay, IC50=29.82±1.08 μg/mL for β-carotene assay, IC50=25.23±1.01 μg/mL for ABTS assay, IC50=9.11±0.08 μg/mL for CUPRAC assay and IC50=19.41±2.06 mg/mL for reducing power assay). Additionally, the EO showed significant activity against trophozoite form of Acanthamoeba castellanii (IC50=7.48±0.41 μg/mL) and promastigote form of Leishmania amazonensis (IC50=19.36±1.06 μg/mL) and low cytotoxicity on murine macrophages (LC50 90.23±1.09 μg/mL), as well as good antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella oxytoca, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. These results suggest that L. oleifolium essential oil is a valuable source of bioactive compounds presenting antioxidant, antiparasitic, and antimicrobial activities. Aims: In traditional Thai medicine, nutgall of Quercus infectoria G. Olivier is well‐documented as an effective agent for wound and skin infections. The present study was aimed to establish modes of action of the ethanol extract of the plant as well as its main constituents to induce anti‐methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) activity. Methods and Results: The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC)/minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) values of ethyl acetate I, ethyl acetate II, 95% ethanol and 30% ethanol fractions against MRSA were 0·06/0·25, 0·13/0·25, 0·25/0·5 and 0·5/1·00 mg ml?1, respectively. Ellagic acid, gallic acid, syringic acid and tannic acid as major components of Q. infectoria nutgall extract were included in this study. Among these, gallic acid and tannic acid demonstrated good MIC/MBC values at 0·06/0·06 and 0·13/0·25 mg ml?1, respectively. A lysis experiment demonstrated that the ethanol extract, ethyl acetate fraction I and all of the main components failed to lyse MRSA cells. In contrast, both MRSA and Staph. aureus ATCC 25923 treated with the ethanol extract, ethyl acetate fraction I, gallic acid and tannic acid displayed significant loss of tolerance to low osmotic pressure and high salt concentration. Conclusions: The results documented the effect of different fractions of Q. infectoria and purified compounds on MRSA and Staph. aureus. In addition, the study demonstrated that treatment with Q. infectoria extract and the purified compounds results in hypersensitivity to low and high osmotic pressure. Significance and Impact of the Study: This study provides scientific information to support the traditional uses of the nutgall extract and suggesting its anti‐MRSA mechanisms.  相似文献
