Room temperature reaction of Cu(NO3)2 · 6H2O and pyrazine-2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylic acid (ptecH4) in the presence of pyridine (py) in water-methanol (1:1) mixture results in the formation of {[Cu2(ptec) · (py)2 · (H2O)3] · 4H2O}n (1). With pyridine-2,4,6-tricarboxylic acid (pytcH3) and Cu(NO3)2 · 6H2O, crystals of {[Cu(pytc)] · 1/2[Cu(H2O)6] · H2O}n (2) could be obtained hydrothermally at 180 °C. The structure of 1 consists of 2D polymeric sheets. These sheets are stacked on top of one another due to strong C-H?π interactions forming an overall 3D structure. The structure of 2, on the other hand, consists of twin-chain coordination polymers. The void spaces between two polymeric chains are occupied by [Cu(H2O)6]2+ ions which are H-bonded to the polymeric chains. The variable temperature magnetic measurements for 1 and 2 show weak antiferromagnetic interaction between Cu(II) centers. The EPR spectra of the compounds are consistent with their structures.  相似文献

Five novel bpca-based Cu(II) polynuclear coordination compounds [Hbpca = bis(2-pyridylcarbonyl)amine] were prepared using the [Cu(bpca)(H2O)2](NO3)·2H2O (1) building block and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. We have also isolated and characterized two new crystal forms of the starting species, with lower water contents. Three of the new products are dinuclear complexes obtained by reacting 1 with different rigid or flexible spacer ligands: [Cu2(bpca)2(H2O)2(bipy)](NO3)2·6H2O (2) (bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine) and [Cu2(bpca)2(H2O)2(bpete)](NO3)2·xH2O (3) [bpete = (E)-1,2-di(pyridin-4-yl)ethane] are linear dumbbell-like species with Cu?Cu separations of 11.075 and 13.275 Å, respectively. The third dinuclear compound, [Cu2(bpca)2(H2O)2(bpx)](NO3)2·8H2O (4) [bpx = 1,4-bis((1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methyl)benzene], with the flexible bpx ligand, assumes an unusual S-shaped conformation and shows a quite shorter Cu?Cu contact of 6.869 Å only. We have also obtained a chiral 1D neutral polymeric complex, [Cu3(bpca)2(bipy)3(NO3)4]·6H2O (5), that shows a central linear -Cu-bipy-Cu- chain, with all these Cu atoms connected to two lateral [Cu(bpca)(NO3)2] groups on two opposite sides by means of bipy spacers. An unprecedented type of Cu(II) neutral trinuclear complex, [Cu3(bpca)2(H2O)2(NO3)2] (6), was obtained which has a centrosymmetric structure with two external [Cu(bpca)(NO3)2] units chelating on a central copper atom via the two pairs of carbonyl groups of the bpca ligands. The central metal is octahedral with two axial water molecules, while the two lateral Cu atoms are in square pyramidal geometry; the Cu?Cu separation is 5.205 Å. The magnetic properties of 6 have been rationalized through a ferromagnetic coupling between the central metal ion and the peripheral ones which are coupled by a smaller antiferromagnetic interaction. DFT calculations have been also performed in order to give a better insight into magnetic interactions.  相似文献

Two new dinuclear isophthalato-bridged copper(II) complexes [Cu2(ntb)2(μ-ipt)](ClO4)2·4CH3OH·0.33H2O (1), [Cu2(bbma)2(μ-ipt)(NO3)(CH3OH)]NO3·CH3OH (2) and one mononuclear complex [Cu(bbma)(ipt)(CH3OH)0.67(H2O)0.33]·2CH3OH (3) containing tetradentate and tridentate poly-benzimidazole ligands were synthesized, where ntb is tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine, bbma is bis(benzimidazol-2-yl-methyl)amine and ipt is isophthalate dianion. All of the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra and X-ray crystallography. The structures of complexes 1 and 2 consist of μ-ipt bridging two Cu(II) centers in a bis(monodentate) bonding fashion. The coordination geometry around the Cu(II) ions of both compounds has a distorted square pyramidal geometry. The Cu···Cu distances are 9.142 and 10.435 Å for 1 and 2, respectively. Complex 3 has a distorted square pyramidal geometry achieved by the three N-atoms of the bbma ligand, one isophthalate-oxygen atom and one oxygen atom from a coordinated methanol molecule. The magnetic susceptibility measurements at variable temperature over the 2-300 K range for complexes 1 and 2 are reported, with J values to be −0.013 and −0.32 cm−1, respectively. The results show that the two complexes exhibit very weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the dinuclear copper(II) centers.  相似文献

Four novel nicotinato-copper(II) complexes containing polybenzimidazole and polyamine ligands were synthesized with formula [Cu2(bbma)2(nic)2](ClO4)2·CH3OH·0.5H2O (1), [Cu2(dien)2(nic)2](ClO4)2·2CH3OH (2), [Cu(ntb)(nic)]ClO4·H2O (3) and [Cu(tren)(nic)]BPh4·CH3OH·H2O (4), in which bbma is bis(benzimidazol-2-yl-methyl)amine, dien is diethylenetriamine, ntb is tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine, tren is tris(2-aminoethyl)amine and nic is nicotinate anion. All of the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and X-ray diffraction analysis. Complexes 1 and 2 contain centrosymmetric dinuclear entity with the two Cu(II) atoms bridged by two nicotinate anions in an anti-parallel mode. The Cu···Cu separation is 7.109 Å for 1 and 6.979 Å for 2. Complexes 3 and 4 are mononuclear with nicotinate coordinated to Cu(II) ion by the carboxylate O atom in 3 and the pyridine N atom in 4. All of the complexes exhibit abundant hydrogen bonds to form 1D chain for 1, 3, 4 and 2D network for 2. Magnetic susceptibility measurements over the 2-300 K range reveal very weak ferromagnetic interaction between the two Cu(II) ions in 1 and antiferromagnetic interaction in 2 mediated by nicotinate ligand, with J value to be 0.15 and −0.19 cm−1, respectively.  相似文献

The reaction of aqueous solutions of the preformed 1:1 Cu(ClO4)2-polydentate amine with tetrasodium 1,2,4,5-benzene tetracarboxylate (Na4bta) afforded three different types of polynuclear compounds. These include the tetranuclear complexes: [Cu4(Medpt)44-bta)(ClO4)2(H2O)2](ClO4)2·2H2O (1), [Cu4(pmdien)44-bta)(H2O)4](ClO4)4 (2), [Cu4(Mepea)44-bta)(H2O)2](ClO4)4(3), [Cu4(TPA)44-bta)](ClO4)4·10H2O (4) and [Cu4(tepa)44-bta)](ClO4)4·2H2O (5), the di-nuclear: [Cu2(DPA)22-bta)(H2O)2]·4H2O (6), [Cu2(dppa)22-bta)(H2O)2]·4H2O (7) and [Cu2(pmea)22-bta)]·14H2O (8) and the trinuclear complex [Cu3(dppa)33-bta)(H2O)2.25](ClO4)2·6.5H2O (9) where Medpt = 3,3′-diamino-N-methyldipropylamine, pmedien = N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine, Mepea = [2-(2-pyridyl)ethyl]-(2-pyridylmethyl)methylamine, TPA = tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine, tepa = tris[2-(2-pyridyl)ethyl)]amine, DPA = di(2-pyridymethyl)amine, dppa = N-propanamide-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amine and pmea = bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-[2-(2-pyridylethyl)]amine. The complexes were structurally characterized by elemental analyses, spectroscopic techniques, and by X-ray crystallography for complexes 1, 2, 4, 6, 7 and 9. X-ray structure of the complexes reveal that bta4− is acting as a bridging ligand via its four deprotonated caboxylate groups in 1, 2 and 4, three carboxylate groups in 9 and via two trans-carboxylates in 6 and 7. The complexes exhibit extended supramolecular networks with different dimensionality: 1-D in 2 and 4 due to hydrogen bonds of the type O-H···O, 2-D in 1 and 7, and 3-D network in 6 as a result of hydrogen bonds of the types N-H···O and O-H···O. Magnetic susceptibility measurements showed very weak antiferromagnetic coupling between the CuII ions in 1-5, 7-9 (|J| = 0.02-0.87 cm−1) and weak ferromagnetic coupling for 6 (= 0.08 cm−1).  相似文献

The reaction of MCl2 · 2H2O (M = Cu, Zn) with 2,3,5,6-tetra(2-pyridyl)pyrazine (tppz) (referred hereafter as L) in 2:1 molar ratio in acetonitrile at room temperature afforded binuclear complexes [M23-L)Cl4] [Cu (1), Zn (2)] where the ligand is bis-tridentate manner. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, FAB-MS, IR, EPR, NMR and electronic spectral studies. Solid state structures of both the [Cu23-L)Cl4] · 5H2O (1), [Zn23-L)Cl4] · H2O (2) have been determined by single crystal X-ray analyses. A well-resolved uudd cyclic water tetramer and water monomer were reported in the crystal host of [Cu23-L)Cl4] · 5H2O (1) and [Zn23-L)Cl4] · H2O (2) showing the contribution of the water cluster to the stability of the crystal host 1 and 2.  相似文献

In air, hydrated ethanolic (95%) solution of 2-(aminomethyl) substituted pyridine and quinoline, on stirring with half equivalent of Cu(OAc)2·H2O, respectively afforded [Cu(bpca)(OAc)(H2O)]·H2O (1) and [Cu(bqca)(OAc)(H2O)] (2) {bpca = bis(2-pyridylcarbonyl)diimide ion and bqca = bis(2-quinolylcarbonyl)diimide ion} in good yields. These reactions involve oxidation of the methylene group and formation of the bond between nitrogen and carbon in N-C(O) through coupling. The complex [Cu(pqca)(OAc)(H2O)]3[Cu2(OAc)4(EtOH)2]1.5 (3) {pqca = (2-pyridylcarbonyl)(2-quinolylcarbonyl)diimide ion} was synthesized by stirring an ethanolic solution of the Schiff base [(2-pyridyl)-N-((2-quinolyl)methylene)methanamine] (L1) and with one equivalent of Cu(OAc)2·H2O. A plausible mechanism for the conversion has been proposed. The free ligands were isolated as crystalline solids from compounds 1-3, by extrusion of Cu2+ ion using EDTA2−. The molecular structures of 1-3 and bqcaH were established by X-ray crystallography and compounds having quinolyl group have π-stacking interactions.  相似文献

Two oxime-functionalized diazamesocyclic derivates, namely, N,N′-bis(acetophenoneoxime)-1,4-diazacycloheptane (H2L1) and N,N′-bis(acetophenonoxime)-1,5-diazacyclooctane (H2L2), have been prepared and characterized. Both ligands (obtained in the hydrochloride form) can form stable metal complexes with CuII and NiII salts, the crystal structures of which were determined by X-ray diffraction technique. The reactions of H2L1 with Cu(ClO4)2 and Ni(ClO4)2 afford a penta-coordinated mononuclear complex [Cu(H2L1)Cl] · ClO4 (1) and a four-coordinated monomeric [Ni(HL1)] · ClO4 (2), in which the ligand is monodeprotonated. The ligand H2L2 also forms a quite similar mononuclear [Ni(HL2)] · ClO4 complex with Ni(ClO4)2, according to our previous work. However, reactions of different CuII salts [Cu(ClO4)2, CuCl2 and Cu(NO3)2 for 3, and CuSO4 for 4] with H2L2 in the presence of NaClO4 yield two unusual mono-μ-Cl dinuclear CuII complexes [Cu2(HL2)2Cl] · (ClO4) (3), and [Cu2(H2L2)(HL2)Cl] · (ClO4)2 · (H2O)(4). These results indicate that the resultant CuII complexes (1, 3 and 4) are sensitive to the backbones of diazamesocycles and even auxiliary anions.  相似文献

The dinuclear dicarboxylato-bridged copper(II) complexes [Cu2(TPA)2(μ-tp)](ClO4)2 · H2O (1), [Cu2(TPA)2(μ-fum)](ClO4)2 · 2H2O (2) and [Cu2(pmedien)2(μ-fum)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (3) (tp = terephthalate dianion, fum = fumarate dianion, TPA = tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine and pmedien = N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine) were synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. The structures of the TPA complexes 1 and 2 consist of μ-tp or μ-fum bridging two Cu(II) centers in a bis(monodentate) bonding fashion. The coordination geometry around the Cu(II) ions in these compounds has a distorted trigonal bipyamidal geometry, TBP with four nitrogen atoms from the TPA ligand and a coordinated oxygen atom supplied by the carboxylate group of the bridged dicarboxylato ligand. Complex 3 has a distorted square pyramidal geometry achieved by the three N-atoms of the pmedien, one fum-carboxylate-oxygen and by an oxygen atom from a coordinated water molecule. The intradimer Cu…Cu distances in these complexes are 11.078(3), 8.663(4) and 9.520(3) Å for 1, 2 and 3, respectively. The electronic spectra of the complexes in aqueous solutions are in complete agreement with the assigned X-ray geometry around the Cu(II) centers. Also, analysis of the infrared spectral data for the ν(COO) stretching frequencies of the tp-carboxalato groups reveals the existence of the bis(mondentate) coordination mode for the bridged dicarboxylato ligands in compounds 1 and 2. The susceptibility measurements at variable temperature over the 2-300 K range are reported. For 1-3, it has been observed slight antiferromagnetic coupling with J values of −0.8, −3.0 and −2.9 cm−1, respectively.  相似文献

A series of new binuclear copper (II) and nickel (II) complexes of the macrocyclic ligands bis(1,4,7-triazacyclononan-1-yl)butane (Lbut) and bis(1,4,7-triazacyclononan-1-yl)-m-xylene (Lmx) have been synthesized: [Cu2LbutBr4] (1), [Cu2Lbut(imidazole)2Br2](ClO4)2 (2), [Cu2Lmx(μ-OH)(imidazole)2](ClO4)3 (3), [Cu2Lbut(imidazole)4](ClO4)4 · H2O (4), [Cu2Lmx(imidazole)4](ClO4)4 (5), [Ni2 Lbut(H2O)6](ClO4)4 · 2H2O (6), [Ni2Lbut(imidazole)6](ClO4)4 · 2H2O (7) and [Ni2Lmx (imidazole)4(H2O)2](ClO4)4 · 3H2O (8). Complexes 1, 2, 7 and 8 have been characterized by single crystal X-ray studies. In each of the complexes, the two tridentate 1,4,7-triazacyclononane rings of the ligand facially coordinate to separate metal centres. The distorted square-pyramidal coordination sphere of the copper (II) centres is completed by bromide anions in the case of 1 and/or monodentate imidazole ligands in complexes 2, 4 and 5. Complex 3 has been formulated as a monohydroxo-bridged complex featuring two terminal imidazole ligands. Complexes 6-8 feature distorted octahedral nickel (II) centres with water and/or monodentate imidazole ligands occupying the remaining coordination sites. Within the crystal structures, the ligands adopt trans conformations, with the two metal binding compartments widely separated, perhaps as a consequence of electrostatic repulsion between the cationic metal centres. The imidazole-bearing complexes may be viewed as simple models for the coordinative interaction of the binuclear complexes of bis (tacn) ligands with protein molecules bearing multiple surface-exposed histidine residues.  相似文献

Two new mononuclear bis(oxamato) complexes with the formula [nBu4N]2[M(nabo)] M = Ni (4), Cu (5), with nabo = 2,3-naphthalene-bis(oxamato) have been synthesized as precursors for trinuclear oxamato-bridged transition metal complexes. Starting from 5 the homo-trinuclear complex [Cu3(nabo)(pmdta)2(BF4)](BF4) · MeCN · Et2O (7), with pmdta = N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine, has been prepared. The central N,N′-2,3-naphthalene bridge of 7 is so far the most extended π-conjugated bridge of trinuclear bis(oxamato) type transition metal complexes. The goal of this work was to verify the N,N′-2,3-naphthalene bridge of 7 on its magnetic properties in comparison to the N,N′-o-phenylene bridge of the related homo-trinuclear complex [Cu3(opba)(pmdta)2(NO3)](NO3) · 2MeCN (6) (opba = o-phenylene-bis(oxamato)). The crystal structures of 4-7 were solved. The magnetic properties of 6 and 7 were studied by susceptibility measurements versus temperature. For the intramolecular J parameter, values of −89 cm−1 (6) and −113 cm−1 (7) were obtained. The different J values are discussed based on the crystal structures of 6 and 7.  相似文献

The alkoxo-bridged dinuclear copper(II) complexes [Cu2(ap)2(NO2)2] (1), [Cu2(ap)2(C6H5COO)2] (2) and [Cu2(ap)2μ-1,3-C6H4(COO)2(dmso)2]·dmso (3) (ap = 3-aminopropanolato and dmso = dimethyl sulfoxide) have been synthesized via self-assembly from copper(II) perchlorate, 3-aminopropanol as main chelating ligand and nitrite and isophthalate anions as spacers and benzoate anion as auxiliary ligand. Complexes 1 and 3 crystallize as 2D and 1D coordination polymers, respectively, and their structures consist of dinuclear [Cu2(ap)2]2+ units connected with nitrite and isophthalate ligands. The adjacent dinuclear units of 2 and 1D polymers of 3 are further connected by hydrogen bonds resulting in the formation of 2D layers. The variable temperature crystallographic measurements of 1 at 100, 173 and 293 K indicate the static Jahn-Teller distortion with librational disorder in the nitrite group. Experimental magnetic studies showed that complexes 1-3 exhibit strong antiferromagnetic couplings. The values of the magnetic exchange coupling constant for 1-3 are well reproduced by the theoretical calculations.  相似文献

The synthesis and crystal structure of four new copper(I) and copper(II) supramolecular amine, and amine phosphonate, complexes is reported. Reaction of copper(I) with 2-,9-dimethyl-1-10-phenanthroline (dmp) produced a stable 4-coordinate Cu(I) species, [Cu(I)(dmp)2]Cl · MeOH · 5H2O (2), i.e., the increased steric hindrance in the ‘bite’ area of dmp did not prevent interaction with the metal and provided protection against oxidation which was not possible for the phen analogue [R. Clarke, K. Latham, C. Rix, M. Hobday, J. White, CrystEngCommun. 7(3) (2005), 28-36]. Subsequent addition of phenylphosphonic acid to (2) produced two structures from alternative synthetic routes. An ‘in situ’ process yielded red block Cu(I) crystals, [Cu(I)(dmp)2] · [C6H5PO3H2 · C6H5PO3H] (4), whilst recrystallisation of (2) prior to addition of the acid (‘stepwise’ process) produced a green, needle-like Cu(II) complex, [Cu(II)(dmp) · (H2O)2 · C6H5PO2(OH)] [C6H5PO2(OH)] (3). However, addition of excess dmp during the ‘stepwise’ process forced the equilibrium towards product (4) and resulted in an optimum yield (99%). The structure of (4) was similar to the phen analogue, [Cu(II)Cl(phen)2] · [C6H5PO2(OH) · C6H5PO(OH)2] (1) [R. Clarke, K. Latham, C. Rix, M. Hobday, J. White, CrystEngCommun. 7(3) (2005), 28-36], but the presence of dmp exerted some influence on global packing, whilst (3) exists as a polymeric layered material. In contrast, reaction of copper(I) with di-2-pyridyl ketone (dpk), followed by phenylphosphonic acid produced purple/blue Cu(II) species, [Cu(II)(dpk · H2O)2] Cl2 · 4H2O (5), and [Cu(II)(dpk · H2O)2] · [C6H5PO2(OH)2 · C6H5PO(OH)2] (6), respectively, i.e., in both cases oxidation of copper occurred. Solid-state luminescence was observed in (2) and (4). The latter showing a 5-fold enhancement in intensity.  相似文献

The reaction of the new bidirectional ligand 3-phenyl-5-(2-pyridyl)-4-(4-pyridyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazole (pyppt) with Cu(ClO4)2 · 6H2O in a 2:1 molar ratio in EtOH affords the complex [CuII(pyppt)2(ClO4)2] · H2O (1) as a microcrystalline turquoise solid. Recrystallisation of complex 1 from MeCN by vapour diffusion of Et2O gives blue crystals of the monomeric octahedral complex [CuII(pyppt)2(ClO4)2] · MeCN (2). In contrast, addition of EtOH to a solution of complex 1 in MeCN followed by slow evaporation yields blue crystals of the five-coordinate polymeric complex {[CuII(pyppt)2](ClO4)2 · EtOH} (3). The structures of both complexes have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

A new perylene-pendent tridentate ligand, N-(3-perylenylmethyl)-N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amine (perbpa) 1 and its Cu(II) complex, [Cu(perbpa)Cl2] (2) were prepared and structurally characterized by the X-ray diffraction method. In the packing structure of ligand 1, perylene groups were aggregated to form a π-π stacked layer of dimerized pelylene moieties similar to the packing of pristine perylene. This result suggests both that the π-π interactions among the perylene moieties predominate for the arrangement of perbpa molecules in the crystal and that this ligand is a good candidate for constructing electron conducting path. A complex 2 was prepared from the ligand 1 and a copper(II) chloride dehydrate. Complex 2 had a mononuclear and 5-coordinate distorted square pyramidal structure with a perbpa and two coordinated chloride ions. The chemical oxidation of 2 by iodine resulted in the unprecedented binuclear Cu(II) species, [Cu2(μ-Cl)2(perbpa)2](I3)2, 3·(I3)2. An X-ray crystal structure analysis of 3·(I3)2 revealed the binuclear structure bridged by the chloride ions. A temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility measurement of 3 showed a weak ferromagnetic exchange interaction with S = 1 ground state, g = 2.12 and J = +1.17 cm−1, based on H = −2JS1 · S2. The UV-Vis absorption and the EPR spectra of 3 showed that the perylene groups are not oxidized. These results indicate a couple of Cu(II) constructed S = 1 ground state with intermolecular ferromagnetic interaction. The electrochemical study suggested that the crystallization of 3·(I3)2 was initiated by the oxidation of the N,N-bis-(2-pyridylmethyl)amino (bpa) groups of 2 by I2.  相似文献

Three mono-nuclear copper(II) complexes [Cu(tepza)X]ClO4 (X = Cl, 1; X = NCS, 2; X = dca, 3) and two dinuclear bridging complexes [Cu2(tepza)2(μ-C4O4)](ClO4)2·H2O(4) and [Cu2(tepza)2(μ-C5O5)](ClO4)2(5) where tepza = tris[2-ethyl(1-pyrazolyl)]amine, dca = dicyanamide, C4O42− = 3,4-dihydroxycyclobut-3-ene-1,2-dionate (squarate dianion) and C5O52− = 4,5-dihydroxycyclopent-4-ene-1,2,3-trionate (croconate dianion) were synthesized and structurally characterized by IR and UV-Vis spectroscopy as well as by single X-ray crystallography. In the solid state, the geometry of copper(II) centers in these complexes are as follows: close to SP in 2, distorted TBP in 3, predominant SP in 4, and distorted octahedral in 5, whereas in solution distorted SP geometry was generally found. The squarato and the croconato dianions in complexes 4 and 5 are bridging the two copper(II) centers in cis-bis-monodentate and bis-bidentate bonding modes, respectively. Magnetic susceptibility measurements at variable temperatures (2-300 K) reveal the weak antiferromagnetic coupling in the two bridging dinuclear complexes 4 (= −24.9 cm−1) and 5 (= −3.1 cm−1).  相似文献

A novel series of copper(II) complexes of formula [Cu(tren)(mpda)](ClO4)2 · 1/2H2O (1), [Cu2(tren)2(mpda)](ClO4)4 · 2H2O (2), and [Cu2(tren)2(ppda)](ClO4)4 · 2H2O (3) containing the tetradentate tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (tren) terminal ligand and the potentially bridging 1,n-phenylenediamine [n = 3 (mpda) and 4 (ppda)] ligand have been prepared and spectroscopically characterized. X-ray diffraction on single crystals of 1 and 3 show the presence of mono- (1) and dinuclear (3) copper(II) units where the mpda (1) and ppda (3) ligands adopt terminal monodentate (1) and bridging bis(monodentate) (3) coordination modes toward [Cu(tren)]2+ cations with an overall non-planar, orthogonal disposition of the phenylene group and the N-Cu-N threefold axis of the trigonal bipyramid of each copper(II) ion [values of the Cu-N-C-C torsion angle (?) in the range of 50.8(3)-79.2(2) (1) and 80.9(2)-86.5(2)° (3)]. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements on the dinuclear complexes 2 and 3 show the occurrence of moderate ferromagnetic (J = +8.3 cm−1, 2) and strong antiferromagnetic (J = −51.4 cm−1, 3) couplings between the two copper(II) ions across the meta- and para-phenylenediamine bridges, leading to S = 1 (2) and S = 0 (3) ground spin states [H = −JS1 · S2 with S1 = S2 = SCu = 1/2]. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations on the triplet (2) and broken-symmetry (BS) singlet (3) ground spin states, support the occurrence of a spin polarization mechanism for the propagation of the exchange interaction through the predominantly π-type orbital pathway of the 1,n-phenylenediamine bridge. Finally, a new magneto-structural correlation between the magnitude of the magnetic coupling (J) and the Cu-N-C-C torsion angle (?) has been found which reveals the role of σ- versus π-type orbital pathways in the modulation of the magnetic coupling for m- and p-phenylenediamine-bridged dicopper(II) complexes.  相似文献

Complexes [Cu(HSas)(H2O)] · 2H2O (H3Sas = N-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-l-aspartic acid) (1), [Cu(HMeSglu)(H2O)] · 2H2O (H3MeSglu = (N-(2-hydroxy-5-methylbenzyl)-l-glutamic acid) (2), [Cu2(Smet)2] (H2Smet = (N-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-l-methionine) (3), [Ni(HSas)(H2O)] (4), [Ni2(Smet)2(H2O)2] (5), and [Ni(HSapg)2] (H2Sapg = (N-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-l-aspargine) (6) have been synthesized and characterized by chemical and spectroscopic methods. Structural determination by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies revealed 1D coordination polymeric structures in 2 and 4, and hydrogen-bonded network structure in 5 and 6. In contrast to previously reported coordination compounds with similar ligands, the phenol remains protonated and bonded to the metal ions in 2 and 4, and also probably in 1. Six 2D and 3D supramolecular complexes [Cu(L1)(O2CCH3)2] · H2O (1), [Cu2(L2)22-O2CCH3)2](BF4)2 (2), [Cu2(L1)2(BDC)(NO3)2] · 0.5H2O (3) [Cu2(L2)2(BDC)(NO3)2] (4), [Cu2(L3)2(BDC)(NO3)2] · 0.5H2O (5) and [Cu2(L2)2(BDC)(H2O)2](BDC) · 8H2O (6) (L1 = 4′-(4-pyridyl)-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine, L2 = 4′-(2-pyridyl)-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine, L3 = 4′-phenyl-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine, BDC = 1,4-benzenedicarboxylate), have been prepared and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction crystallography. In complexes 1, 3, and 4, 1D channels are formed through C-H?O and C-H?N hydrogen-bonding interactions, and further linked into 3D structure via C-H?O and O-H?O interactions. Complex 2 is a 2D layer constructed from intermolecular C-H?F and π-π stacking interactions. In the structure of 6, the BDC2− ions and solvent water molecules form a novel 2D layer containing left- and right-handed helical chains via hydrogen-bonds, and an unusual discrete water octamer is formed within the layer. In 2, 4, 6 and [Ag2(L2)2](PF6)2 (7) the bonding types of pendent pyridines of L2 depending on the twist about central pyridines are involved in intramolecular (2 and 4), intermolecular (6) or coordination bonds (7) in-twist-order of 5.8°, 3.7°, 28.2° and 38.0°, respectively. Differently, the pendent pyridines of L1 in 1 and 3 form intermolecular hydrogen bonds despite of distinct corresponding twist angles of 25.1° (1) and 42.6°(3). Meanwhile, π-π stacking interactions are present in 1-6 and responsible for the stabilization of these complexes.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of four new complexes with the bioactive ligand 3-aminoflavone (3-af) are reported. The complexes of general formula [M(3-af)2(H2O)2](NO3)2 · nH2O], where M = Co(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II), and n = 0, 2, 0, respectively, and [Cu(3-af)2(NO3)2] compound were prepared and studied. In particular, to investigate the binding in detail, the crystal structures of the free ligand (3-af) and [Cu(3-af)2(NO3)2] (1) were determined. The new coordination compounds were identified and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic measurements, and infrared and ligand-field spectra. The crystal structure of the Cu(II) complex reveals that the ligand acts as a N,O-bidentate chelate ligand forming a five-membered ring with the copper(II) ion. The copper(II) ion is octahedrally surrounded by the two amino nitrogens and two carbonyl oxygens from two chelating organic ligands in trans arrangement. Two molecules of coordinated nitrate anions occupy axial positions. The spectral and magnetic properties are in accordance with the structural data of the copper(II) compound. From X-ray powder-diffraction patterns and IR spectra, the complexes of nickel(II) (2) and cobalt(II) (3) were found to be mutually isomorphous. The results of the spectroscopic studies suggest a mononuclear structure of 2 and 3 complexes. The variable-temperature (1.8-300 K) magnetic susceptibility data of 2 indicate a weak ferromagnetic interaction. The magnetic behavior of complex 3 is characteristic of cobalt(II) systems with an important orbital contribution via spin-orbit-coupling and also suggests a weak ferromagnetic interaction.  相似文献
