In general, coagulase-negative staphylococci were found to be relatively less susceptible to the lytic action of lysostaphin than coagulase-positive staphylococci. To achieve, arbitrarily, a lysis greater than 75%, it was necessary to use an increased concentration of enzyme or a longer incubation period than that usually required with coagulase-positive strains. For the most part, the cultures studied were sensitive to oxacillin, cloxacillin, dicloxacillin, nafcillin, ancillin, cephalothin, cephaloridine, fusidic acid, lincomycin, novobiocin, and neomycin [median minimal inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of 1.56 mug/ml or less]. Some degree of resistance (median MIC values of 12.5 mug/ml or greater) to benzylpenicillin, ampicillin, methicillin, tetracycline, chloretetracycline, erythromycin, ristocetin, and lysostaphin was found. Ten methicillin-resistant, coagulase-negative staphylococal strains were found to be cross-resistant to all nine of the penicillins tested, but much less resistant to the two cephalosporin analogues. In several instances, some of these strains seemed to be more sensitive to benzylpenicillin and to certain of the semisynthetic penicillins than to methicillin. Of the 18 antibiotics tested with the viable plate count method, the methicillin-resistant strains were found to be the most sensitive to lincomycin and novobiocin.  相似文献

beta-Lactamases of Proteus and their role in the mechanism of the microbe resistance to penicillins and ceporin were studied. It was found that the beta-lactamase of Proteus had low activity and were produced by both beta-lactamide resistant and sensitive clinical strains of Proteus. The resistant cultures of Proteus produced enzymes more frequently (3.4--5 times) than the sensitive ones. The synthesis of beta-lactamase in the clinical Proteus strains was inducable. The high induction coefficient was achieved only in the presence of high concentrations of the inductor. No significant dependence of the culture sensitivity level of ampicillin and ceporin on the induction level was observed. The most significant part of the constitutive enzyme in Proteus was intracellular, while that of the inducable enzyme was extracellular. No correlative dependence between the culture resistance levels to penicillins and ceporin and the enzyme activity was noted. The beta-lactamase activity was not found in the transconjugants with the in vitro acquired R-factor controlling the ampicillin and ceporin resistance, as well as in the resistant mutants selected on the media with increasing concentrations of the above antibiotics. Induction of beta-lactamase synthesis was not found in these strains either. The ability of Proteus to synthesize beta-lactamase can be lost on the strain storage under laboratory conditions which was not always accompanied by reduction of the culture sensitivity to ampicillin and ceporin. The enzymatic destruction of beta-lactamides was not the main mechanism of Proteus resistance to the above antibiotics.  相似文献

Between 1989-1989 276 strains of Acinetobacter genus were isolated which contained: Acinetobacter calcoaceticus subsp. anitratus (n = 167), Acinetobacter calcoaceticus subsp. Iwoffi (n- = 83), Acinetobacter haemolyticus (n = 26). Their sensitivity to aminoglycoside antibiotics, beta-lactams, tetracyclines, chloramphenicol, colistin, and ofloxacin was tested. More than 90% of strains were sensitive to colistin and ofloxacin. The sensitivity to remaining antibiotics differentiated depending on species. Acinetobacter anitratus were highly resistant to Ist and IInd generation of cephalosporins, and moreover to penicillins, tetracyclines, and chloramphenicol. Cephalosporins of IIIrd generation were active against 70% of strains with exception of cefoperazone what was also the case for representatives of aminoglycosides as netilmicin and amikacin. Strains of Acinetobacter Iwoffi were in majority sensitive to all antibiotics with exception of cephalothin, cephradine and cefoperazone. More than 90% of Acinetobacter haemolyticus strains were sensitive to gentamicin, carbenicillin, azlocillin, ceftriaxone, cefotaxime and tetracyclines.  相似文献

Antibacterial activity of 32 chemotherapeutics against 15 strains of Yersinia ++pseudotuberculosis was studied in vitro. The majority of the strains or 80% were sensitive to penicillins, cephalosporins, monobactams, aminoglycosides, tetracyclins , anzamycins, fluorine derivatives of quinolonecarboxylic acid, levomycetin and a combination of trimethoprim and ++sulfamethoxazole. It was shown that with respect to the Y. pseudotuberculosis strains with multiple antibiotic resistance, the fluorine derivatives of quinolonecarboxylic acid (ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin and enoxacin), tetracyclines, netilmicin, amikacin, cefotaxime and cefazolin were promising for in vivo studies.  相似文献

Using three different plasmid DNA codings for kanamycin (KM), chloramphenicol (CP), and ampicillin- (AMP) and tetracycline- (TC) resistance, four different competent Escherichia coli strains were transformed by the calcium chloride method to produce KM-, CP- and AMP- and TC-resistant strains. Evaluation of minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of 22 antibiotics, showed KM-resistant E. coli to be cross resistant only to fradiomycin (FRM); CP-resistant E. coli, especially HB101 and JM109 strains, exhibited cross-resistance only to thiamphenicol (TP). On the other hand, AMP- and TC-resistant E. coli showed cross resistance to several penicillins, tetracyclines and erythromycin. E. coli ATCC-27166, the strain most sensitive to all drugs in this experiment, was employed for disc diffusion experiments and from the pattern of appearance of the inhibition zone, eight major antibiotics were divided into three groups depending on their activity against containing each of the three plasmids. Only gentamicin (GM) activity was not affected by any of the drug resistant strains. Assay techniques utilizing three resistant strains may be the technique for screening foods for antibiotic residues in the future.  相似文献

Two beta-lactamases, A and B, have been shown to be present in a strain of Yersinia enterocolitica (w222). Beta-Lactamase A hydrolyses a variety of penicillins and cephalosporins. This enzyme is sensitive to thiol reagents, is only partially inhibited by 0-1 mM-cloxacillin and has a molecular weight of approximatley 20,000.beta-Lactamase B shows strong cephalosporinase activity but does not hydrolyse some of the penicillins. It is more resistant than beta-lactamase A to thiol reagents, is completely inhibited by 0-1 mM-cloxacillin and has a molecular weight of about 34,000. With cephaloridine as a substrate, which is readily hydrolysed by both enzymes, about 85% of the total activity of a cell extract is due to beta-lactamase A and 15% to B. Addition of 6-aminopenicillanic acid to the culture during growth results in a 2-to4-fold selective increase in the amount of beta-lactamase B. Two beta-lactamases similar to enzymes A and B have been found in five other strains of Y. enterocolitica. In contrast, only one beta-lactamase, similar to enzyme B, has been detected in a different strain of Y. enterocolitica (H66), which is abnormal in that it is sensitive to ampicillin. Addition of 6-aminopenicillanic acid to cultures of this strain results in an 8-to 10-fold increase in beta-lactamase production.  相似文献

目的检测15年前后细菌L型临床耐药性的变迁,分析影响因素,指导临床用药。方法对新乡市中心医院15年来临床检出的常见细菌L型菌株逐个进行药敏监测,逐年进行耐药性变化分析研究。结果1990年至1999年细菌L型常见菌株耐药性逐年上升,特别是青霉素类大部耐药;2000年至2005年,耐药性趋势变缓,青霉素类耐药率有所下降。结论合理应用抗生素,不滥用抗生素是细菌L型耐药性变迁的重要原因,药物敏感试验是良好的监测方法。  相似文献

Antibiotic susceptibilities of 80 strains of Yersinia enterocolitica biotype 1A isolated from human, swine and various aquatic sources to 20 β-lactam and 26 non-β-lactam antibiotics were studied. Most isolates were resistant to penicillins, first-generation cephalosporins, macrolides and lincosamides, while sensitive to aminoglycosides and quinolones. In comparison to earlier studies, the majority of the strains were either intermediately sensitive or resistant to piperacillin. Relatively decreased susceptibility or resistance to third-generation cephalosporins was also observed in several Y. enterocolitica isolates. Sensitivity of 6 F. tularensis strains to 57 antibiotics and synthetic antibacterial drugs was studied. It was shown that the strains were highly sensitive to aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, anzamycins, quinolones, chloramphenicol, nitrofurantoin, nitroxoline, novobiocin and fusidin and resistant to penicillins, cephalosporins, polypeptides, vancomycin and sulfanylamides. The interrace differences in F. tularensis could be detected only by sensitivity to erythromycin, oleandomycin and spiramycin. There was observed no cross resistance to streptomycin and other aminoglycosides in F. tularensis. Assay of F. tularensis sensitivity to antibacterial drugs of various groups with the rapid photometric procedure and the agar diffusion method revealed that the results were highly comparable.  相似文献

Sensitivity to penicillins, tetracycline, erythromycin and lincomycin was tested in 1513 staphylococcal strains isolated from the skin of various anatomic areas of the breast of nursing mothers. It was shown that 82.9, 78.4 and 33.9 per cent of the isolated cultures were highly sensitive to lincomycin, erythromycin and methicillin respectively. Sensitivity to tetracycline and benzylpenicillin was detected in 33.1 and 19.8 per cent of the cultures respectively. The study of the resistance spectra of 1343 strains resistant to certain antibiotics revealed that 498 cultures (37.1 per cent) were polyresistant. None of the tested antibiotics could be used for selective decontamination of the breast skin with respect to S. aureus in prophylaxis of lactic mastitis.  相似文献

目的:探讨亚抑菌浓度头孢他啶对大肠埃希菌生物膜形成的影响与细菌耐药性、超广谱β-内酰胺酶(ESBLs)产生及ESBLs基因分型的相关性,为临床生物膜感染的治疗和抗生素的合理使用提供理论依据。方法:大肠埃希菌最低抑菌浓度(MIC)检测采用琼脂平板倍比稀释法,超广谱β-内酰胺酶(ESBLS)表型确证实验采用双纸片协同法,大肠埃希菌ESBLs基因检测采用PCR扩增,生物膜形成能力检测采用96孔板结晶紫染色法。结果:50株大肠埃希菌临床株对青霉素类、氟喹诺酮类、头孢哌酮及复方新诺明具有较高的耐药性,而对阿米卡星、哌拉西林/他唑巴坦敏感性较高。所有菌株均对碳青霉烯类抗菌药物敏感。31株大肠埃希菌为ESBLs阳性菌株。CTX-M、TEM、OXA、SHV和VEB基因阳性率分别为93.5%、83.9%、19.4%、16.1%和3.2%。亚-MIC头孢他啶对9株(18.0%)大肠埃希菌生物膜形成具有抑制作用。亚-MIC头孢他啶对大肠埃希菌生物膜形成的影响与细菌耐药性和ESBLs均无相关性(P0.05)。结论:亚-MIC头孢他啶对大肠埃希菌生物膜形成的调控作用与细菌耐药性、产ESBLs及ESBLs基因分型均无相关性。  相似文献

Exometabolites of 22 strains of the genus Penicillium, section Chrysogena isolated from low-temperature ecotopes of various geographical regions were analyzed. The ecotopes included permafrost deposits, frozen volcanic ash, a fossil horse, cryopeg, and water from an Antarctic lake. The studied strains were found to contain exometabolites belonging to the groups of penicillins (penicillin G), chrysogines (chrysogine, 3-acetyl-quinazolin-4(3H)-one, 2-pyruvoylaminobenzamide, 2-(2-hydroxypropionylamino)-benzamide, and questiomycin A), roquefortines (3,12-dihydroroquefortine, roquefortine, glandicolines A and B, and meleagrine), xanthocillins (xanthocillin X), and simple tryptophan derivatives (N-acetyltriptamine and indoleacetic acid). In five P. chrysogenum strains and three P. nalgiovense strains, a correlation was found between exometabolite spectra and morphological characteristics of the cultures isolated from modern ecotopes. For other strains species, identification was based on morphological features due to the absence of biosynthesis of penicillin G on the major chemotaxonomic markers for these species.  相似文献

Using 20 clinical isolates of S. aureus (all bacteriophage 80/81 type), we found that lysostaphin inhibits the growth of all cultures at concentrations significantly lower than those observed with any of eight penicillins, a penicillin-like compound (cephalothin), or fusidic acid (a steroid antibiotic). All test cultures were shown to be resistant to penicillin G, ampicillin, and propicillin. Of the remaining penicillins (all penicillinase-insensitive), oxacillin, nafcillin, cloxacillin, and cephalothin were approximately equal in antimicrobial activity. Ancillin was slightly less active, and methicillin was even lower in potency. Cultures varied more widely in susceptibility to fusidic acid. None of the clinical isolates tested was found to be resistant to lysostaphin.  相似文献

The penicillin acylase activity of Penicillium chrysogenum was studied. Washed mycelial suspensions of a high penicillin-producing and a nonproducing strain were found to be similar in respect to relative acylase activity on benzylpenicillin, 2-pentenylpenicillin, heptylpenicillin, and phenoxymethylpenicillin. The relative rates for both strains, as determined by 6-aminopenicillanic acid formation, were approximately 1.0, 2.5, 3.5, and 6.0 on the penicillins in the order given. The high producing strain formed both 6-aminopenicillanic acid and "natural" penicillins in fermentations to which no side-chain precursor had been added. Therefore, its demonstrated ability to cleave the natural penicillins, 2-pentenylpenicillin and heptylpenicillin, suggests that at least some of the 6-aminopenicillanic acid produced during such fermentations arises from the hydrolysis of the natural penicillins. At pH 8.5, the mycelial acylase activity of the nonproducing strain was about three times that at pH 6.0; at 35 C, it was about 1.5 times as active as it was at 30 C. When tested on penicillin G or V, no differences in either total or specific penicillin acylase activity were observed among mycelia harvested from cultures of the nonproducer to which penicillin G, penicillin V, or no penicillin had been added. Acetone-dried mycelium from both strains displayed acylase activity, but considerably less than that shown by viable mycelium. Culture filtrates were essentially inactive, although a very low order of activity was detected when culture filtrate from the nonproducer was treated with acetone and the acetone-precipitated material was assayed in a minimal amount of buffer.  相似文献

Twenty one strains of bifidobacteria belonging to various species were studied with respect to their sensitivity to antibacterial drugs most widely used in medical practice. The strains were isolated from practically healthy persons and from persons in contact with antibiotics in their production. It was found that sensitivity of the strains was the highest with respect to penicillins and tetracyclines. With respect to kanamycin, monomycin and levomycetin the strains were resistant. Strain differences in resistance to separate antibacterial drugs were observed. Increased streptomycin and tetracycline resistance of the strains isolated from the persons being for a prolonged period in contact with these antibiotics in their production, was stated.  相似文献

Glucosamine (G), often combined with chondroitin sulfate (CS), is a popular natural supplement used widely to treat osteoarthritis. However, use of glucosamine has been linked to development of insulin resistance. To assess the association between glucosamine and insulin resistance more closely, we challenged two rat strains highly sensitive to sugar-induced insulin resistance-Sprague-Dawley (SD) and Spontaneously Hypertensive (SHR) rats. Since elevations of systolic blood pressure (SBP) have been found to be an early and highly sensitive sign of insulin resistance in these two rat strains, we used this parameter as our primary endpoint. Four groups of both rat strains received either no agent (control), G, CS, or a combination of both for 9 weeks. The intake of each agent was calculated to be approximately 3-7 times comparable to human dose. Throughout the study, SBP of both strains consuming the two ingredients alone and in combination were not elevated. Rather, they were significantly lower than control, contrary to what is found in glucose-induced insulin resistance in rats. Over the study period, body weights of the four groups of SD and SHR did not vary significantly. Furthermore, no consistent trends in circulating glucose concentrations were found among the four different groups in the two strains after oral challenge with glucose. Finally, no significant histological differences were found in hearts, kidneys, and livers among the various groups of SHR and SD. From the above result, we conclude that glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate given alone or together do not produce insulin resistance or other related perturbations in two rat strains highly sensitive to sugar-induced insulin resistance.  相似文献

This study was performed to determine the susceptibility of the clinical strains of Gram-negative strictly anaerobic rods to newer beta-lactam antibiotics. Also, the trial was undertaken to detect strains producing extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBLs) and inducible beta-lactamases (IBLs) among Bacteroides spp. and Prevotella spp. rods isolated from hospitalized patients. One hundred strains of Gram-negative, obligatory anaerobic rods were applied in the study. The strains were identified in automatic ATB system using API 20 A strips. beta-lactamase-positive strains were determined with disc nitrocefin test. ESBL-producing strains were detected with double disc test according to Jarlier et al. (1988). Clavulanate was applied as the inhibitor of these beta-lactamases (AMO/CLAV disc). ESBL-positive strains were confirmed with the use of E test (TZ/TZL strip). Inducible beta-lactamases were determined by double disc method according to Sanders and Sanders (1979). Cefoxitin was the inducer of these beta-lactamases (FOX disc). Among 93 Bacteroides spp. strains and 7 Prevotella spp. strains, 91 strains (91%) produced beta-lactamases. Two ESBL-producing strains (2%) were detected. Strains producing inducible beta-lactamases (IBL) were not found. A high activity of the examined beta-lactam antibiotics against strains of Gram-negative anaerobes was found. The majority of strains were susceptible to piperacillin (95%), piperacillin combined with tazobactam (99%), ticarcillin combined with clavulanic acid (99%), meropenem (97%) and imipenem (99%). The obtained results indicate the necessity of ESBL determination among strains of the genus Bacteroides, isolated from clinical specimens. Newer beta-lactam antibiotics, especially penicillins in combination with beta-lactamase inhibitors and carbapenems, are useful in empiric therapy of infections caused by Bacteroides spp. and Prevotella spp. anaerobic rods.  相似文献

Examination of 278 newborn infants, parturients, and medical personnel in two maternity hospitals revealed a high level of Klebsiella colonization of all examined biotopes of infants (the nasal cavity in up to 36.5% of cases) and the skin of the mammary glands of nursing mothers (in 36.2% of cases). In the intestine and the nasal cavity of parturient women and medical personnel Klebsiella could be detected 3-10 times more often than in the same biotopes of nonhospitalized pregnant women. From 254 objects of the hospital environment Klebsiella were isolated in 9.05% of cases. The possibility of the transmission of Klebsiella in hospitals by patients with inflammatory processes in their genitals were established. The diversity of the serological picture of strains of most K-serovars and a short period of their isolation were shown. In one hospital serovar K10 with some features of a "hospital" strain was isolated. The strains under study were sensitive to aminoglycosides, cephamesine, chlorhexidine, but resistant to semisynthetic penicillins and chloramine.  相似文献

摘要:目的 回顾分析本院2型糖尿病伴尿路感染患者的病原菌分布特点及其耐药性,为指导临床用药提供参考。方法 收集2013年1月至2014年1月2型糖尿病合并尿路感染患者186例,留取中段尿分离培养病原菌,用VITEK-2细菌鉴定仪鉴定,纸片扩散法(K-B)测定药物敏感性。结果 186例患者中段尿共培养出病原菌137株,其中革兰阴性菌102株(74.45%),革兰阳性菌21株(15.33%),真菌14株(10.22%)。革兰阴性菌以大肠埃希菌为主,检出79株占57.66%,对青霉素类,头孢菌素类,喹诺酮类抗菌药耐药率较高均>50.00%,对头霉素类药物如头孢替坦、含酶抑制剂复合物如哌拉西林/他唑巴坦以及碳青霉烯类药物敏感率均达100.00%;革兰阳性球菌以无乳链球菌为主,检出10株占7.30%,对克林霉素及红霉素耐药率较高,耐药率>50.00%,而对氯霉素、呋喃妥因、利奈唑烷、替加环素、万古霉素敏感率均达100.00%。除1株光滑假丝酵母菌对氟康唑和伊曲康唑中介,其余13株真菌对两性霉素B、5-氟胞嘧啶、伏立康唑、氟康唑、伊曲康唑这5种抗真菌药物均敏感。结论 2型糖尿病患者发生尿路感染的病原菌以大肠埃希菌为主,且有较高的耐药率。  相似文献

The effects of penicillins and several other antibiotics (vancomycin, ristocetin, bacitracin, novobiocin, and d-cycloserine), all known as inhibitors of bacterial cell wall synthesis, were tested on the growth of Anabaena variabilis, a strain of blue-green alga.

All the antibiotics tested inhibited the growth of Anabaena variabilis at concentrations ranging from 10 µg to 1 mg per ml. However, penicillins and the other antibiotics tested did not inhibit growth of strains of green algae.  相似文献
