The karyotypes of 13 greater long-tailed hamsters (Tscherskia triton de Winton, 1899) (eight males and five females) from Primorskii krai (Russia), including six males and one female from the vicinity of the city of Ussuriisk and two males and four females from the vicinity of the village of Pogranichnyi, have been studied. The karyotypes of five males (four from the vicinity of Ussuriisk and one from the vicinity of Pogranichnyi) have been found to contain one or two small acrocentric B chromosomes each. In males with B chromosomes, each germline cell contains one or two B chromosomes. The proportion of somatic cells carrying B chromosomes varies from 34.9 to 55.9% in these males. Karyological study of a total of 45 Tscherskia triton (30 males and 15 females) from Primorskii krai has been performed, B chromosomes being found in only five males (11.1%). In T. triton populations of Korea and China, also only a few animals have been found to carry one or two B chromosomes. The greater long-tailed hamster belongs to the monotypic genus Tscherskia; the animals described earlier under the names T. (Cricettilus) triton albipes Ognev, 1914 and T. (Cricettilus) triton nestor Thomas, 1907 belong to the only species in the genus, T. triton de Winton, 1899.  相似文献

Karyotypes of 47 individuals of the wood mice Apodemus peninsulae from two reserves in Primorskii krai (Kedrovaya Pad' and Ussuriiskii) were studied during spring, summer, and autumn. In each population, variation in the number of B-chromosomes (2n = 48 + 0-5B) as well as the intratissue mosaicism determined by variation of the number, size and morphology of supernumerary chromosomes were described. Animals that have one dotlike B-chromosome were first described in both populations as rare variants. Individuals that have bone-marrow cell clones with two or three B-chromosomes were found to be predominant in the populations of Primorskii krai. The number of clones varied from one to three per animal. The frequency of mosaics showed seasonal variation. In the population of the Ussuriiskii reserve, a sharp increase in the frequency of animals with a stable karyotype was detected in autumn, at the phase of increased numbers. The variation for mosaicism was suggested to correlate with the population numbers in mice and to indicate the genetic differences between generations of the population.  相似文献

The population structuring and low genetic diversity of the Manchurian zokor Myospalax psilurus Milne-Edwards, 1874, an East Asian endemic included in the Red List of Russia, were demonstrated. Two separate geographical groups differing in the level of their genetic diversity were found on the territory of the Primorskii krai. The subpopulation located closest to the main area of this species was determined as ancestral. A subspecies differentiation of the Primorskii krai and Transbaikal M. psilurus populations was shown, as was the monophyletic origin of M. psilurus and its high divergence from M. aspalax. The animals from northern localities are recommended for reintroduction in nature under species recovery programs in Primorskii krai.  相似文献

Dynamics of the reservoir potential (RP) and its index (IRP) in rodents inhabiting Primorskii krai and carriers of hantaviruses have been studied. The long-term annual average IRP in the genus Apodemus equals 0.83. In A. peninsulae, the IRP has turned out to be two times higher than that in A. agrarius (t = 2.636; n = 18; p = 0.017). The prognostic markers of a possible outbreak of epidemic disease caused by hantaviruses in Primorskii krai are discussed.  相似文献

We studied the variability of a fragment of the cytochrome b gene and the corresponding amino acid sequence of the field mouse Apodemus agrarius (Pallas, 1771) in the South of Primorskii krai (Far East of Russia). A significant polymorphism of these traits was detected. High indices of molecular diversity were obtained. The topology of the phylogenetic tree and the median networks suggest that the population of field mice in the south of Primorskii krai originated from three maternal lines. It was noted that clustering of haplotypes on a territorial basis is absent, and the field mouse population in southern Primorskii krai can be considered as one of the key points in maintaining a high genetic diversity of the species.  相似文献

The Japanese fringed sculpin Porocottus japonicus Schmidt has been found in the Rynda (44°48′03″ N, 136°23′24″ E) and Vladimira (43°52′36″ N, 135°29′30″ E) (Sea of Japan, Primorskii krai) bays for the first time. This species was formerly known only from the northern Tatar Strait and Aniva Bay. In Primorskii krai, P. japonicus inhabits macrophyte beds in shallow sublittoral waters. It reaches a length of 112 mm during its lifespan of approximately 4 years. Spawning occurs in the winter. The species preys predominantly on polychaetes (82.3% of the food weight).  相似文献

The genetic structure of eight Mus musculus L. populations in Primorskii krai was studied with the use of taxon-specific markers of different inheritance systems: nDNA (RAPD), mtDNA (D-loop), and chromosomes. The results obtained demonstrate that although the compared nuclear marker characteristics (nDNA and chromosomes) have the same basis they are not linke with each other and, moreover, are often mutually inconsistent. Discordance in the inheritance of the marker characteristics in most of the animals studied is a result of extensive hybridization involving two to four house mouse subspecies. To identify taxonspecific nuclear markers revealed by RAPD, some RAPD PCR products were cloned, and their localization on chromosomes was determined. It was found that some fragments similar in size consist of two different comigrating sequences that are localized on different chromosomes and belong to different subspecies. All sequenced anonymous markers are localized in protein-coding genes. The functions of genes containing the marker sequences have been established. Differences in the taxon-specific RAPD fragments are associated with changes in the structure of important functional genes, and this can be considered as a significant genetic marker.  相似文献

The data are presented on genetic population structure of wild soybean growing in natural and anthropogenically disturbed landscapes of Primorskii krai of the Russian Federation. Comparative analysis showed that wild soybean populations exposed to anthropogenic influence exhibited lower genetic diversity than natural populations. Chromosome sets of 114 Apodemus agrarius mice from 29 localities in Moldova, Ukraine, Siberia, and Far East were studied by means of G-, C-, and NOR-banding. In all populations studied, the Y chromosome was shown to be a medium-size acrocentric chromosome consisting of heterochromatin. Chromosome polymorphism observed in populations from Primorskii krai concerned (1) the morphology of the first two autosome pairs (variants A/A, A/ST, and ST/ST), (2) the number of metacentric chromosomes (from 6 to 8), and (3) heterochromatin localization in the pericentromeric regions of two metacentric chromosome pairs. A karyotype with an additional heterochromatic microchromosome found in all the metaphases studied was described in one mouse from a locality of western Primorye that has not been studied previously. In the karyotype of 15 mice from four populations of Primorye, the pool of nucleolus organizer regions is distributed over three autosome pairs rather than over four, as is the case A. agrarius from Europe. Based on the analysis of literature sources and our own data, the problem of chromosome polymorphism in the field mouse is discussed.  相似文献

Many bird molting characteristics are not only species-but also population-related. A study of postjuvenile molting in black-faced buntings has revealed substantial differences in the degree of molting in young birds from southern Primorskii krai in comparison with those from more northern populations (Khingan-Bureya upland). In Primor’e partial replacement of primaries is observed in young birds from the first broods. Measurements of feathers before and after molting have revealed a difference in the length of juvenile primaries between this and the next generation. On the basis of this difference, a procedure has been developed that allows us to differentiate a major part of black-faced buntings in Primor’e in the fall season.  相似文献

Karyological study of larch population members from different parts of the Larix olgensis L. Henry areal in the Primorskii krai has been carried out. The main amount of chromosomes for larch as n = 12 (2n = 24) has been confirmed. Mixoploidy was observed in all studied populations. The difference of individuals from the larch areal based on the cell amount with a different level of ploidity has been found in the population of L. olgensis locus classicus and both L. sibirica and L. gmelinii, which is probably a consequence of their hybrid nature.  相似文献

The diversity of monogenic hereditary diseases (HDs) (autosomal dominant (AD), autosomal recessive (AR), and X-linked diseases) has been studied in five districts of Bashkortostan Republic: Burzyanskii, Abzelilovskii, Baimak, Salavatskii, and Arkhangel’skoe raions. The spectrum of HDs comprised 144 diseases, including 83, 48, and 13 AD, AR, and X-linked diseases. Most of them were found earlier during studies in ten other regions of Russia (Kirov, Kostroma, Tver’, Bryansk, and Rostov oblasts, and Krasnodar krai, and the republics of Adygea, Marii El, Udmurtia, and Chuvashia). Foci of local accumulation of some AD, AR, and X-linked diseases have been found in individual districts. Data on the gene frequencies for the HDs have been used for cluster analysis, which has shown the gene geographic position of Bashkirs among nine ethnic populations of Russia: Russians (Kostroma, Kirov, and Rostov oblasts and Krasnodar krai), Chuvashes (Chuvashia), Adygeans (Adygea), Maris (Marii El), Udmurts (Udmurtia), and Bashkirs (Bashkortostan).  相似文献

Until the present moment, only a scarce number of Latin American domestic cat populations have been studied from a population genetic standpoint. For this reason, the cat populations of La Havana (Cuba), San José (Costa Rica), Bogota and Ibagué (Colombia), Asuncion (Paraguay), Santiago (Chile) and Buenos Aires (Argentina) were sampled for several coat genes. The results obtained were as follows: (1) there was a strong genetic resemblance between several Hispanic American cat populations (especially, those of Buenos Aires, San José and the two Colombian populations studied) and those from South Western United States (California, Texas and Colorado), which adds support to the suspicion that these populations probably have a common origin; (2) The cat population of Santiago (Chile), contrarily to the other Hispanic American populations studied, showed a strong genetic resemblance with some Anglo North American populations; and (3) The l (long hair) and d (dilution) alleles showed systematic higher frequencies in the Hispanic American populations than those observed in Spain. Although the Hispanic American populations were not identical to the current Spanish populations (with the exception of Asuncion), this historic genetic experiment was very different to that found for the British populations and their overseas colonies.  相似文献

The allelic frequencies of nine Mendelizing genetic characteristics that control coat colour, tabby and length and some skeletal abnormalities have been studied in four feral domestic cat populations, two in the north of Catalonia (Girona and Roses & L’Estartit, northeastern Spain) and two Adriatic Italian populations (Rimini and Venice). Using different genetic and multivariate analyses (Nei’s and Cavalli-Sforza and Edwards’s genetic distances, phenograms and cladograms using different algorithms, strict consensus trees, canonical population, principal coordinates and nonmetric multidimensional scaling analyses), I show the genetic relationships between these populations and other Western European cat populations previously studied. In the Western European area comprising Catalonia, Italy, France and Great Britain, I found significant spatial structure for thet b, l andW alleles and for the average correlogram for the seven alleles studied as a whole using a spatial autocorrelation analysis. The genetic distance matrices between these European cat populations also showed a significant correlation with the geographical distance between these populations using Mantel’s test. These analyses showed that in each of these countries, local cat populations have characteristic genetic profiles which were different to neighbouring populations in nearby countries. At least in this area of Western Europe, the geographical distances between cat populations (although the gene flow can be relatively high) is an important factor which can explain differences in allele frequencies between these populations.  相似文献

The biomass of the walleye pollock (Theragra chalcogramma) stock in waters of Primorskii krai, Sea of Japan, during the 1976–2015 observation period ranged from 48000 to 373000 tons; their number ranged from 99 to 1115 million fish. Four very strong year-classes born in 1975, 1981, 1997, and 2006 have been identified. It has been shown that the duration of the sexual-maturity period is determined by the periodicity of the dynamics of the year-class strength close to the 9-year cycle. According to the results of numerical modeling, an increase in the walleye pollock stock in Primorye is expected from 2017 to 2020.  相似文献
