Abstract The extracts from 7 species of bamboo were tested for larvicidal activity against Culex pipiens pallens . At the tested concentration, the extracts of selected bamboo had different degree of toxic effects on the fourth instar larvae of Culex pipiens pallens . Among them, the extracts of Pleioblastus juxianensis, Brachystachyum albostriatum, Phyllostachys platyglossa and Pleioblastus amarus were found to be effective with LC50values at 24 h of 30.65 mg/L, 53.94 mg/L, 41.21 mg/L and 54.49 mg/L respectively, against Culex pipiens pallens larvae. The extract of Pleioblastus juxianensis by Soxhlet method showed stronger activity than the extract obtained by interval-shaking, the LC50 of which were 30.65 mg/L and 48.34 mg/L, respectively. The diethyl ether extract of Pleioblastus juxianensis exhibited better larvicidal activity than the methanol extract and the petroleum ether extract. The results would help to provide the basis for the study of environment acceptable pesticide for mosquito control, and also help to comprehensively utilize the source of bamboo.  相似文献

报道了竹提取物对淡色库蚊Culex pipiens pallens幼虫的毒杀作用。研究结果表明,巨县苦竹(Pleioblastus juxianensis)、白纹短穗竹(Brachystachyum albostriatum)、灰水竹(Phyllostachysplatyglossa)和苦竹(Pleioblastus amarus)提取物对淡色库蚊幼虫的24h致死中浓度(LC50)分别为30.65mg/L、53.94 mg/L、41.21mg/L、54.49mg/L。巨县苦竹索氏抽提物对淡色库蚊幼虫的毒杀作用明显强于间歇振荡提取物,前者对淡色库蚊幼虫的LC50为30.65 mg/L,95%置信限27.12~34.63 mg/L;后者的LC50为48.34 mg/L,95%置信限为40.37~59.62 mg/L。巨县苦竹乙醚浸提物对淡色库蚊幼虫的毒杀作用效果显著,125mg/L浓度时12h校正死亡率为56.67%,24h后达92.90%;石油醚浸提物及甲醇浸提物对淡色库蚊幼虫的毒杀作用则不明显, 24h校正死亡率均不超过40%。研究结果将有助于综合利用竹类资源,开发新型环境友好农药。  相似文献

To identify larvicidal compounds from the ethanolic extracts of Curcuma longa root, the active compounds were isolated using activity‐guided fractionation with column chromatography and identified based on nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and mass spectrometry (MS) data. The dipping method was used to determine the larvicidal activities of each compound against 4th‐instar larvae of Culex pipiens pallens. Two compounds were isolated and identified, ar‐turmerone and 8‐hydroxyl‐ar‐turmerone. The two compounds exhibited larvicidal activities against the 4th‐instar larvae of C. pipiens pallens after 24 hr of treatment with LC50 values of 138.86 and 257.68 ppm, respectively. The larvicidal activities of ar‐turmerone and 8‐hydroxyl‐ar‐turmerone against C. pipiens pallens are reported herein for the first time. The elucidation of the structure of these phytochemicals and their insecticidal activities are important for assessing the potential of this plant as a botanical insecticide.  相似文献

Larvicidal potency of three primary powders based on Bacillus sphaericus strains 1593 and 1881 was studied on mosquito larvae. Two acetone powders, P 1593 and P 1881, were very toxic for Anopheles stephensi larvae. The potency of a third lyophilized powder RB 80 made from 1593 strain compared even better when tested against Anopheles stephensi and Culex pipiens pipiens larvae. LC50's after 48 hr were 0.15 and 0.003 mg/ml, respectively. After storage of RB 80 aqueous suspensions over 2 years or after heat exposure of RB 80 powder, larvicidal potency was still high, indicating an excellent stability. The use of RB 80, because of all its qualities, is suggested as a first experimental standard for titration of B. sphaericus preparations.  相似文献

The sensitivity of the second, third (L3), and fourth (L4) instars of Culex pipiens L. and Ochlerotatus sticticus (Meigen) to two larvicides, temephos and Bacillus thuringiensis variety israelensis (Bti) was tested with and without molting occurring in the experiments. In the first experiment for both tested mosquito species, LC50 values increased from the second to the fourth instar when tested against temephos, whereas for Bti the opposite trend was observed. The highest LC50 value was found for fourth instars of Cx. pipens (0.00405 mg/liter) against temephos and for second instars of Oc. sticticus (0.267 mg/liter) against Bti. The determined LC50 values for the second and third instars of both species decreased with an increased number of molted larvae in the experiments with temephos. For the experiments with Bti molting did not have any significant influence on LC50 values, except a small increase in toxicity during the L3/L4 molt of Oc. sticticus. These findings could help assess and define larviciding, as well as influence the quantity of larvicides needed for an efficient treatment.  相似文献

Immediate (24 hours exposure) and long-term (until the emergence of the adults) effects of different doses of a primary powder of Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis (B.t.i.) against first and second instar Aedes aegypti larvae were monitored. The long-term effect was dose-dependent and was materialized by a prolongation of the preimaginal development and continuous cumulative mortality until the emergence of the adults. Mortality values were higher during the fourth larval instar and the pupal stage. Some of the larvae reaching the fourth instar were smaller in size and remained in this state a 2-4 times longer period than in the control and finally died as larvae or very small pupae. The long-term effect was more intense as the treatment was applied earlier during the larval development. The correlation of the immediate lethal effect with the late effect allows the evaluation of the total impact of a larvicidal treatment.  相似文献

单宁酸是一种植物次生代谢物, 为探索其用于蚊幼虫防治的可能性,在室内测定了其对淡色库蚊Culex pipiens pallens抗氰戊菊酯品系和敏感品系1~4龄幼虫的毒性,并观察了其对存活幼虫生长发育的影响。结果表明,淡色库蚊敏感品系幼虫对单宁酸的敏感性比抗氰戊菊酯品系的要高,1~4龄幼虫分别高6.4、4.9、4.7和2.0倍。4个龄期幼虫中,无论是敏感品系还是抗氰戊菊酯品系,均是1龄幼虫对单宁酸的敏感性最高,3龄幼虫最低。在1 000 mg/L单宁酸持续作用下,敏感品系和抗氰戊菊酯品系各龄幼虫的存活率,均随处理时间延长而降低。与对照相比,饲养在100 mg/L~500 mg/L单宁酸溶液中的存活幼虫发育历期延长,敏感品系和抗氰戊菊酯品系发育历期分别延长了34.5~38.3 h和59.2~93.4 h。其中,125 mg/L浓度处理的敏感品系1~4龄幼虫,其发育历期与对照的差异达到了显著水平(P<0.05);抗性品系则在250 mg/L作用下也达到了差异显著水平(P<0.05)。但100~250 mg/L单宁酸处理淡色库蚊抗氰戊菊酯品系和敏感品系1龄幼虫,对其存活幼虫的化蛹率、羽化率和成虫性比均无显著影响。表明单宁酸对淡色库蚊幼虫的影响主要是延迟其生长发育,且影响程度与蚊虫对氰戊菊酯的敏感性有关。  相似文献

为获取对草地贪夜蛾Spodoptera frugiperda具有高致病力的生防真菌,从福建省不同地区分离得到8株寄主为鳞翅目和半翅目幼虫僵虫的绿僵菌Metarhizium,采用浸渍法测定了其对草地贪夜蛾2龄幼虫和蛹的致病力,并根据形态学和分子生物学方法对高致病力菌株进行种类鉴定。结果表明,8株绿僵菌菌株对草地贪夜蛾2龄幼虫和蛹均表现出不同程度的致病力,其中菌株FJMR2和FJXY7表现出较强的致病力。在5×107个/mL孢子浓度下,FJMR2和FJXY7对草地贪夜蛾2龄幼虫的致死率分别为88.76%和82.13%,对蛹的致死率分别为86.57%和84.00%;对草地贪夜蛾2龄幼虫的LT50分别为4.81 d和4.93 d,对蛹的LT50分别为4.94 d和4.83 d。经鉴定菌株FJMR2和FJXY7均为莱氏绿僵菌Metarhizium rileyi。本研究获得2株对草地贪夜蛾2龄幼虫和蛹具有高致病力的莱氏绿僵菌菌株,在草地贪夜蛾的生物防治中具有较大应用潜力。  相似文献

用国产泛影葡胺介质对苏云金杆菌以色列变种的晶体和芽孢混合物进行密度梯度离心分离,可分别获得纯度98%的晶体和芽孢。经过对致乏库蚊3龄幼虫的毒性测定,结果表明毒杀蚊幼虫主要是晶体,芽孢也有些作用。电镜观察结果表明晶体有球形、卵形、五角形、菱形、长方形、长圆形等多种形态。致乏库蚁和骚扰阿蚊(第2天)取食苏云金杆菌以色列变种菌粉后经过不同时间测定,中肠的胰蛋白酶和胰凝乳蛋白酶的活性降低。  相似文献

为进一步明确冬青油(wintergreen oil)与肉桂油(cinnamon oil)对蚊虫的生物活性, 本研究采用浸液法、 “Y”型嗅觉仪法和密闭三角瓶熏蒸法, 分别测定了两种精油对淡色库蚊Culex pipiens pallens幼虫的毒杀作用以及对成虫的驱避和熏杀活性。结果显示: 肉桂油和冬青油对淡色库蚊幼虫均具有较强的毒杀作用, 处理24 h的LC50分别为71.87 mg/L和 102.83 mg/L。在0.5 μL的供试剂量下, 冬青油与肉桂油在20 min内对淡色库蚊的驱避率均在80%以上, 显示了较好的驱蚊活性。冬青油对淡色库蚊具有明显的熏蒸击倒作用, 12 μL/L浓度下的KT50为3.97 min; 而肉桂油则具有较好的熏蒸致死活性, 熏蒸5 h的LC50 为0.31 μL/L。冬青油与肉桂油按1∶1体积比混配后对淡色库蚊表现出较好的击倒和致死效果。冬青油和肉桂油既对淡色库蚊幼虫具有较强的毒杀作用, 又对淡色库蚊雌成虫表现出较好的驱避和熏杀活性, 具有开发成为植物源蚊虫防控剂的潜力。  相似文献

The chromosome of the Bacillus thuringiensis strain S184 that was toxic against the third instar larvae of Spodoptera litura with the LC50 of 9.74 μg/ml was successfully integrated into two genes of cyt1Aa and cry11Aa using the transposon Tn917, yielding the primary engineered strain TnX. The strain TnX was highly toxic to the third instar larvae of Culex pipiens fatigans with the LC50 of 5.12 ng/ml which was 1.82-fold higher than that of B. thuringiensis subsp. israelensis, but lowly toxic to lepidopterous larvae. By the protoplast fusion of the strain TnX and the strain S184-Tetr (resistance to tetracycline), the target engineered strain TnY was obtained. Against the third instar larvae of S. litura, the strain TnY LC50 was of 4.68 μ g/ml and increased by 2.08-fold in comparison with the parent strain S184. Against the third instar larvae of C. pipiens fatigans, the strain TnY LC50 was of 103.20 ng/ml. The two target genes of cyt1Aa and cry11Aa integrated into the chromosome were extremely stable and had little possibility of a second transposition. Twenty 3,5-disubstituted isoxazoles have been synthesized and tested against fourth instar Aedes aegypti larvae. In the synthesis of title compounds, modifications have been made in the C-5 side-chain with a view to test their larvicidal activity. These isoxazoles have been obtained by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of arylnitrile oxides to terminal alkynes which furnished the desired products in 20% to 79% yields. A comparative study of the larvicidal activity between 3-(3-aryl-isoxazol-5-yl)-propan-1-ols and 3-(3-aryl-isoxazol-5-yl)-propionic acids clearly demonstrated that the latter compounds possess much better larvicidal activity than the former. We also tested two esters, viz., methyl 3-[3-(phenyl)-isoxazole-5-yl] propionate and methyl 3-[3-(4-chlorophenyl)-isoxazole-5-yl] propionate, where the latter presented an excellent larvicidal profile.  相似文献

Screening of Aspergillus funiculosus for bioactive secondary metabolites produced kojic acid, which is know to have wide range of biological properties. It is very active against Gram-negative bacteria, such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli, but moderately active against yeasts and Gram-positive bacteria except Staphylococcus epidermidis. Filamentous Fungi are more sensitive to kojic acid. When it exposed to larvicidal activity on Aedes aegypti third instar larvae are more sensitive than early fourth instar larvae.  相似文献

Persistence of biological control agents against mosquito larvae was tested under simulated field conditions. Mosquito larvicidal activity of transgenic Anabaena PCC 7120 expressing cry4Aa, cry11Aa and p20 from Bacillus thuringiensis ssp. israelensis was greater than B. thuringiensis ssp. israelensis primary powder (fun 89C06D) or wettable powder (WP) (Bactimos products) when either mixed with silt or exposed to sunlight outdoors. Reduction of Bactimos primary powder toxicity was at least 10-fold higher than Anabaena's after mixing with silt. In outdoors experiments, Bactimos WP remained toxic (over 30% mortality of 3rd instar Aedes aegypti larvae) for 2-4 days only, while transgenic Anabaena's toxicity endured 8-21 days.  相似文献

Cry11A from Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis and Cry11Ba from Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. jegathesan were introduced, separately and in combination, into the chromosome of Bacillus sphaericus 2297 by in vivo recombination. Two loci on the B. sphaericus chromosome were chosen as target sites for recombination: the binary toxin locus and the gene encoding the 36-kDa protease that may be responsible for the cleavage of the Mtx protein. Disruption of the protease gene did not increase the larvicidal activity of the recombinant strain against Aedes aegypti and Culex pipiens. Synthesis of the Cry11A and Cry11Ba toxins made the recombinant strains toxic to A. aegypti larvae to which the parental strain was not toxic. The strain containing Cry11Ba was more toxic than strains containing the added Cry11A or both Cry11A and Cry11Ba. The production of the two toxins together with the binary toxin did not significantly increase the toxicity of the recombinant strain to susceptible C. pipiens larvae. However, the production of Cry11A and/or Cry11Ba partially overcame the resistance of C. pipiens SPHAE and Culex quinquefasciatus GeoR to B. sphaericus strain 2297.  相似文献

Aqueous extracts of nine medicinal plants were bioassayed against larvae of Culex quinquefasciatus Say and Aedes aegypt (L.). Among these plants, the long pepper, Piper retrofractum Vahl (Piperaceae), showed the highest level of activity against mosquito larvae. To gain more information on larvicidal activity of P. retrofractum, fresh fruits of this plant were extracted in water and the extracts made into powder and bioassayed against 3rd and 4th instar larvae of Cx. quinquefasciatus and Ae. aegypti in the laboratory. Extracts of unripe (001/3) and ripe (002/3 and 001/4) fruits showed different levels of activity against Cx. quinquefasciatus larvae. Extracts 001/3 and 002/3 were equi-toxic to a Bacillus sphaericus resistant and susceptible strains, both from Thailand. The ripe fruit extract 002/3 was somewhat more active against Ae. aegypti than Cx. quinquefasciatus. Another ripe fruit extract (001/4) was much more toxic to both mosquito species. Diluted solutions of the solid extract (002/3) in distilled water lost their larvicidal activity upon aging. Loss of activity at 25 degrees C was greater than that stored at 4 degrees C, and greater in water than in acetone solution.  相似文献

Locally available raw materials were used as fermentation media for the preparation of an effective bacterial insecticide of Bacillus sphaericus in Ghana. The choice of materials for media production was based on their availability, their cost and how well they supported growth and sporulation of the bacterium. The materials used were anchovy (Engraulis encrasicolus), spent grain from breweries, bambara beans (Vigna subterranea), sprout maize (Zea mays) and B. sphaericus strain IAB 881. The larvicidal activities of each final whole culture of the insecticides prepared were evaluated against third and fourth instar larvae of the mosquito species Culex quinquefasciatus. The levels of larvicidal activity exhibited by preparations using the raw materials were similar to those where the bacterium was cultured in a synthetic medium, with median lethal concentrations ranging from 0.30 10- 5 to 0.68 10-6. Cell counts were in the range 11 108 - 36 108 colony-forming units ml-1, and spore counts were between 29 107 and 61 107 ml-1.  相似文献

A preliminary study was conducted to investigate the effects of the extracts of 112 medicinal plant species, collected from the southern part of Thailand, on Aedes aegypti. Studies on larvicidal properties of plant extracts against the fourth instar larvae revealed that extracts of 14 species showed evidence of larvicidal activity. Eight out of the 14 plant species showed 100% mosquito larvae mortality. The LC50 values were less than 100μg/mL (4.1μg/ mL-89.4μg/mL). Six plant species were comparatively more effective against the fourth instar larvae at very low concentrations. These extracts demonstrated no or very low toxicity to guppy fish (Poecilia reticulata), which was selected to represent most common non-target organism found in habitats ofAe. aegypti, at concentrations active to mosquito larvae. Three medicinal plants with promising larvicidal activity, having LC50 and LC50 values being 4.1 and 16.4 μg/mL for Mammea siamensis, 20.2 and 34.7 μg/mL forAnethum graveolens and 67.4 and 110.3μg/mL forAnnona muricata, respectively, were used to study the impact of the extracts on the life cycle ofAe. aegypti. These plants affected pupal and adult mortality and also affected the reproductive potential of surviving adults by reducing the number of eggs laid and the percentage of egg hatchability. When each larval stage was treated with successive extracts at the LC50 value, the first instar larvae were found to be very susceptible to A. muricata and the second instar larvae were found to be susceptible to A. graveolens, while the third and fourth instar larvae were found to be susceptible to M. siamensis. These extracts delayed larval development and inhibited adult emergence and had no adverse effects on P. reticulata at LC50 and LC50 values, except for the M. siamensis extract at its LC50 value.  相似文献

The second instar larvae of the malaria vector mosquito,Anopheles arabiensis,were more susceptible to Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis (IPS-82) and B. sphaericus (SPH-88) than the third instar larvae. The LC 50 values were 1.0 ΜgI-1 and 1.8 ΜgI-1 for IPS-82 against second and third instar larvae respectively, after 48 h of exposure. The LC50 values for SPH-88 were 3.6 Μg {siI-1} against the second instar larvae and 7.6 ΜgI-1 against the third instar larvae of An. arabiensis. The larvicidal efficacy of SPH-88 was significantly less than IPS-82. The potential of IPS-82 for the control of An. arabiensis in malaria endemic areas is promising.  相似文献

Carcasses of mosquito larvae killed by Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis allow its complete growth cycle (germination, vegetative growth, and sporulation), thus becoming toxic themselves to scavenging larvae. In this study, we demonstrate that the bacterium is capable of inducing death of Aedes aegypti pupae and of recycling in the resulting carcasses. B. thuringiensis var. israelensis-killed pupae were obtained by treating 40-hr-old synchronized fourth instar larvae with a low dose of spores (8000/ml). The fraction of dead pupae was reduced by higher or lower spore concentrations as well as by treating younger or older larval populations (both fourth instar): Increased proportions of dead larvae were obtained at higher concentration or by earlier treatment, whereas lower concentrations or later treatment resulted in more living pupae. Multiplication of B. thuringiensis var. israelensis is shown to occur in the carcasses of dead pupae. The number of spores in each pupal carcass followed a similar kinetic as in larval carcasses, but the final yield was about 10-fold higher, apparently reflecting the difference in dry weight between the two mosquito developmental stages (426 micrograms vs 83 micrograms, respectively). The specific larvicidal activity in a homogenized dead pupa was similar to that of B. thuringiensis var. israelensis powder, LC50 of about 600 spores/ml.  相似文献
