Two novel strains of the Cytophaga-Flexibacter-Bacteroides (CFB) group, designated Gsoil 219" and Gsoil 2381, were isolated from soil of a ginseng field of Pocheon Province in Korea. Both strains were Gram-negative, aerobic, nonmotile, nonspore-forming, and rod-shaped. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that both isolates belong to the genus Chitinophaga but were clearly separated from established species of this genus. The sequence similarities between strain Gsoil 219T and type strains of the established species and between strain Gsoil 238T and type strains of the established species ranged from 91.4 to 94.7% and 91.6 to 94.2%, respectively. Phenotypic and chemotaxonomic data (major menaquinone, MK-7; major fatty acids, iso-C15:0 and C(16:1) omega5c; major hydroxy fatty acid, iso-C(17:0) 3-OH; major polyamine, homospermidine) supported the affiliation of both strains Gsoil 219T and Gsoil 238T to the genus Chitinophaga. Furthermore, the results of physiological and biochemical tests allowed genotypic and phenotypic differentiation of both strains from the other validated Chitinophaga species. Therefore, the two isolates represent two novel species, for which the name Chitinophaga soli sp. nov. (type strain, Gsoil 219T=KCTC 12650T=DSM 18093T) and Chitinophaga terrae sp. nov. (type strain, Gsoil 238T=KCTC 12651T=DSM 18078T) are proposed.  相似文献

A Gram-staining-positive, catalase-positive, oxidase-negative, non-motile, non-flagellate and rod-shaped bacterium, was designated as DCY81T, and isolated from soil of a ginseng field in Pocheon province, Republic of Korea. The 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis revealed that strain DCY81T belonged to the genus Arthrobacter. Major fatty acid was anteiso-C15:0, while major polar lipids were diphosphatidyglycerol, phatidyglycerol, phosphatidylinositol, monogalactosyldiacylglycerol (GL1), and dimannosyldiacylglycerol (GL2). The dominant quinone was MK-9(H2). The peptidoglycan type was A3α with an l-Lys–l-Ala–l-Thr–l-Ala interpeptide bridge. The DNA–DNA hybridization relatedness between strain DCY81T and Arthrobacter siccitolerans LMG 27359T (98.2 %), Arthrobacter sulfonivorans JCM 13520T (97.81 %), Arthrobacter scleromae DSM 17756T (97.59 %), Arthrobacter oxydans KCTC 3383T (97.3 %) was 39.1 ± 0.2, 62.2 ± 1.6, 36.8 ± 1.1 and 48.3 ± 1.6 %, respectively which show that the genotypic separation of strain DCY81T from the closest reference strain of the genus Arthrobacter. The DNA G+C content was 65.2 mol%. The genotypic analysis, physiological, and chemotaxonomic results indicate that strain DCY81T represents a novel species of the genus Arthrobacter. Therefore, Arthrobacter ginsengisoli sp. nov., is proposed as the type strain (=KCTC 29225T = JCM 19357T).  相似文献

Two novel Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterial strains BT702T and BT704T were isolated from soil collected in Jeongseon (37° 22′ 45″ N, 128° 39′ 53″ E), Gangwon province, South Korea. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strains BT702T and BT704T belong to distinct lineage within the genus Spirosoma (family Cytophagaceae, order Cytophagales, class Cytophagia and phylum Bacteroidetes). The strain BT702T was closely related to Spirosoma flavus 15J11-2T (96.7% 16S rRNA gene similarity) and Spirosoma metallilatum TX0405T (93.3%). The strain BT704T was closely related to Spirosoma koreense 15J8-5T (94.6%), Spirosoma endophyticum DSM 26130T (93.8%) and Spirosoma humi S7-4-1T (93.8%). The genome sizes of type strains BT702T and BT704T are 8,731,341 bp and 8,221,062 bp, respectively. The major cellular fatty acids of strains BT702T and BT704T were C16:1 ω5c and summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω6c/C16:1 ω7c). The strains were found to have the same quinone system, with MK-7 as the major respiratory quinone. The major polar lipids of strain BT702T was identified to be phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), aminophospholipid (APL) and aminolipid (AL), while that of strain BT704T consisted of phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) and aminophospholipid (APL). Based on the polyphasic analysis (phylogenetic, chemotaxonomic and biochemical), strains BT702T and BT704T can be suggested as two new bacterial species within the genus Spirosoma and the proposed names are Spirosoma profusum and Spirosoma validum, respectively. The type strain of Spirosoma profusum is BT702T (=?KACC 22028T?=?NBRC 114859T) and type strain of Spirosoma validum is BT704T (=?KACC 22030T?=?NBRC 114966T).

A Gram-negative and aerobic bacterium, designated YIM 77875T, was isolated from a geothermal soil sample collected at Rehai National Park, Tengchong, Yunnan Province, south-west China. Bacterial growth occurred from 37 to 65 °C (optimum 50 °C), pH 6.0–8.0 (optimum pH 7.0) and 0–1 % NaCl (w/v). Cells were rod-shaped and colonies were convex, circular, smooth, yellow and non-transparent. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence indicated that strain YIM 77875T belongs to the genus Lysobacter. The 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity values between strain YIM 77875T and other species of the genus Lysobacter were all below 94.7 %. The polar lipids of strain YIM 77875T were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine and five unknown phospholipids. The predominant respiratory quinone was Q-8 and the G+C content was 68.8 mol%. Major fatty acids were iso-C16:0, iso-C15:0 and iso-C11:0. On the basis of the morphological and chemotaxonomic characteristics, as well as genotypic data, strain YIM 77875T represents a novel species, Lysobacter thermophilus sp. nov., in the genus Lysobacter. The type strain is YIM 77875T (CCTCC AB 2012064T = KCTC 32020T).  相似文献

Two novel Gram-negative bacterial strains BT442T and BT584 were isolated from dry soil collected in mountains Busan and Guri, Korea during wintertime. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strains BT442T and BT584 both belong to a distinct lineage within the genus Hymenobacter (family Hymenobacteraceae, order Cytophagales, class Cytophagia). Strain BT442T was closely related to Hymenobacter soli PB17T (98.0% 16S rRNA gene similarity) and Hymenobacter terrae POA9T (97.6%). No other recognized bacterial species showed more than 97% 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity to strains BT442T. The genome size of strain BT442T was 5,143,362 bp. Bacterial growth was observed at 10–30 °C (optimum 25 °C), pH 6.0–8.0 (optimum pH 6.0) in R2A agar and in the presence up to 1% NaCl. The major cellular fatty acids of strains BT442T and BT584 were iso-C15:0, anteiso-C15:0 and summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω6c / C16:1 ω7c). In addition, their predominant respiratory quinone was MK-7. The major polar lipids of strains BT442T and BT584 were identified to be phosphatidylethanolamine, aminophospholipid, and aminolipid. Based on the biochemical, chemotaxonomic, and phylogenetic analyses, strains BT442T and BT584 are novel bacterial species within the genus Hymenobacter, and the proposed name is Hymenobacter negativus. The strain type of Hymenobacter negativus is BT442T (=?KCTC 72902T?=?NBRC XXXXT).

A Gram-positive, facultatively aerobic, rod-shaped, non-motile, terminal spore-forming bacterium, designated strain G20T, was isolated from soil collected in a mountain region of Suwon, South Korea. On the basis of 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity, this strain was shown to be related to Rummeliibacillus pycnus NBRC 101231T (97.4%) and Rummeliibacillus stabekisii KSC-SF6gT (95.7%). DNA-DNA hybridization studies showed 42% and 50% similarity of strain G20T with R. pycnus NBRC 101231T and R. stabekisii KSC-SF6gT, respectively. The DNA G content of G20T was 37.8 mol%, the major cellular fatty acids were iso-C15:0 and anteiso-C15:0, and the predominant menaquinones were MK-7 and MK-8. On the basis of phylogenetic, chemotaxonomic, and phenotypic characteristics, we propose this strain to be a novel species and the third member of genus Rummeliibacillus. We suggest the name Rummeliibacillus suwonensis sp. nov. The type strain is G20T (KACC 17316T =KEMB 9005-003T =JCM 19065T).  相似文献
