The chromatographic analysis of the volatile leaf oil of Pinus pinaster Ait. showed 42% of monoterpene hydrocarbons (α-pinene, camphene, β-pinene, myrcene, 3-carene, limonene, cis-ocimene, terpinolene, para-cymene, 35% of sesquiterpene hydrocarbons (cubebene, copaene, caryophyllene, humulene, germacrene D, α- and γ-muurolenes, δ- and γ-cadinenes) and 23% of oxygenated compounds including esters (linalyl, bornyl, geranyl, neryl and farnesyl acetates), alcohols (cis-hexenol, linalool, α-fenchol, trans-pinocarveol, terpinen-4-ol, α-terpineol, dihydrocarveol, guaiol, junenol and α-cadinol), one aldehyde (hexenal) and one ketone (piperitone). Three non terpenoid phenylethyl esters were also identified: phenylethyl isovalerate, methyl-2 burtyate and 3-3 dimethylacrylate. Some alcohols and mainly α-terpineol and linalool seemed to be formed during the steam distillation process, they were absent when the leaf oil was obtained by maceration of small portions of leaves in the usual solvents of terpenes.  相似文献

Callus cultures of Pinus radiata that synthesized monoterpenes de novo and which were stable for at least 1 year have been established. The products differed from those of parent plants in that α-pinene (87–100%) rather than β-pinene was the main component. The best lines accumulated monoterpenes (ca 2 × 10?3% wt/wet wt)in yields 40–20% of that in the parent stem and needles. The composition of the extractable oil depended on the light regime. After culture in total darkness toluene and acetone accumulated. These compounds also occurred (at low levels) in dark-grown seedlings and in seeds of P. radiata and a route for their formation from α-pinene is suggested. Cell-free extracts of the culture lines converted [14C] IPP into geraniol, nerol and α- and β-pinenes in up to 46% total yield. These are the most active crude extracts for monoterpene biosynthesis that have been reported from either tissue cultures or higher plants.  相似文献

The biosynthesis of monoterpene hydrocarbons was studied in maritime pine needles by incorporation of 14CO2. It was shown that the acyclic terpenes β-myrcene and trans-β-ocimene, act as transitory compounds before the biosynthesis of cyclic monoterpenes such as α- and β-pinene. Monoterpene composition of cortical oleoresin was determined in a number of 9-yr-old grafts of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris), growing in a clone trial at two different levels of mineral nutrient supply. Variation between clones was considerable for some of the monoterpene constituents, indicating genetic control. In one of the clones, δ3-carene, α-terpinene and terpinolene were totally absent. The monoterpene composition was not significantly affected by the annual application of macro-nutrients.  相似文献

The total lipids of Pinus halepensis pollen were separated into individual classes of neutral and polar lipids and the components of each class were identified and determined quantitatively. Free fatty acids, waxes and triacylglycerols were found as the main constituents of neutral lipids and phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine of polar lipids. Glycerylether derivatives were detected in neutral and polar lipid fractions. Free and esterified volatile fatty acids were also found in pollen and its neutral lipid fraction.  相似文献

The dominant gene Lm that causes 60–90% limonene/cineole was substituted into M. aquatica by four convergent backcrosses. The natural strain of M. aquatica has 7·7% cineole, 4·9% limonene, traces of terpinolene and pulegone, 0·1% menthone, 0.2% menthol, and 66·4% menthofuran. The two modified hybrid strains with dominant gene Lm have 53·8 and 78·7% limonene/cineole and a total of only 1·0-3·8% 3-oxygenated compounds in contrast to a total of 66·7% found in the natural strain. The postulate is made that the Lm gene largely prevents either the conversion of a-terpineol → terpinolene or of limonene → isopiperitenone and that in these strains the recessive cc genotype largely but not completely prevents the conversion of limonene → carvone resulting in limonene accumulation. Mentha species almost invariably have either 2-oxygenated or 3-oxygenated compounds, not both. Close coupling phase linkage of the genes Lm and C explains why the self-pollinated progeny of M. spicata or M. crispa C-Lm/c-lm have a ratio of 3 carvone/dihydrocarvone: 1 pulegone/menthone rather than a ratio of 9 carvone : 3 limonene : 3 carvone and menthone: 1 menthone which would be expected if the genes Lm and C were independently inherited  相似文献

The principal resin acids in the needles of Pinus resinosa are the labdane diterpenes, the new 8,13-epoxy-14-labden-19-oic acid (epimanoyl oxide acid), 8,13β-epoxy-14-labden-19-oic acid (manoyl oxide acid), 8(17),E-12,14-labdatrien-19-oic acid (communic acid) and 15-oxo-8(17)-labden-19-oic acid (imbricataloic acid). A survey of needles from representative populations of P. resinosa showed a limited variability in resin acid composition consistent with the uniformity of other traits. The composition of needle resin acids for putative P. nigra x resinosa hybrids strongly suggests the improbability of P. resinosa as the pollen parent.  相似文献

Protein, together with polysaccharide, was identified among components of foliage leachates of Pinus radiata. The protein separated into two main fractions on Sephadex G-75 when eluted with Tris buffer or with sodium dodecyl sulphate. Electrophoresis of the mixture in polyacrylamide gel revealed seven protein-staining bands, while cellulose chromatography using acidic and basic solvents separated the protein into ten ninhydrin- reactive compounds. Acid-catalysed hydrolysis released fourteen amino acids, together with galactose, mannose, fucose, and galacturonic acid as the main monosaccharides.  相似文献

Ribosomes isolated from seeds of the sugar pine, Pinus lambertiana, have been characterized: The ribosome has a sedimentation coefficient (s20,w0) of 78·2 S and contains 41 % RNA and 58 % protein. On dialysis against buffer containing 0·5-1 mM MgCl2, the ribosome was reversibly transformed into an intermediate form (60 S). Further removal of Mg2+ causes the intermediate ribosome to dissociate into subunits (30 S and 40 S). Treatment of the intermediate ribosome with p-chloromercuribenzoic acid caused the dissociation of the particle into subunits. Incubating the 80 S ribosome with the sulfhydryl reagent caused a rapid transformation of the particle into an intermediate type particle. These results suggest that sulfhydryl groups are involved not only in associating the subunits but also in maintaining the compact structure of the ribosomes. The ribosome contains three ribosomal RNA components of 28 S, 18 S and 5 S. The base compositions of the three ribosomal RNA components are different.  相似文献

Monoterpenoids and sesquiterpenoid hydrocarbons of Pinus edulis wood oleoresin were analyzed by chromatographic and spectroscopic methods. Monoterpenoid hydrocarbons (20·3%) were composed mainly of α-pinene, with camphene, β-pinene, 3-carene, sabinene, myrcene, limonene, β-phellandrene, trans-ocimene and terpinolene in secondary to trace amounts. Oxygenated terpenoids (0.28%) contained bornyl acetate and verbenone as major constituents, and linalool, camphor, terpinene-4-ol, citronellyl acetate, borneol, neral, α-terpineol, citronellol, nerol, and geraniol in smaller amounts. Oleoresin contained 1·1% of acetogenins, composed mainly of ethyl caprylate. Sesquiterpenoid hydrocarbons were high (5·7%) in oleoresin) and were composed of germacrene D as a major constituent (36·6%), of γ-amorphene, α-copaene, and longifolene as secondary constituents (5–20%), and β-farnesene, α- and γ-murolenes, β1-, γ-, δ-, and ε-cadinenes, α-amorphene, δ-guaiene, sibirene, α-cubebene, β-copaene, β-ylangene, sativene, cyclosativene, β-bourbonene, α- and γ-humulenes, caryophyllene, α-longipinene and longicyclene in smaller amounts. Composition of P. edulis and of P. monophylla turpentines was found to be similar, with percentage of ethyl caprylate being the best distinguishing criterion.  相似文献

The total fatty constituents of slash pine (Pinus elliottii) tissue cultures, seeds and seedlings were examined by GLC and MS. Qualitatively, the fatty acid composition of these tissues was very similar to that reported for other pine species. The fatty acid contents of the tissue cultures resembled that of the seedling tissues. In addition to the fatty acids common to botanical materials, Δ5-C18 and -C20 nonmethy lene-interrupted polyunsaturated acids were present in low relative abundances. The branched-chain C17 acid reported for several other Pinus species was confirmed as the anteiso isomer.  相似文献

The potential of Univariate and Multivariate Analysis and specifically Principal Components Analysis (PCA), has been employed to assess the performance of pine needles as bioindicators of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and particularly emphasize the crucial importance of making a distinction between different pine species if more than one is sampled. Four sampling sessions were done in 29 sites and needles of two common pine species (Pinus pinaster Ait. in 19 sites and Pinus pinea L. in 12) were collected and analysed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and PCA. The results obtained indicated significant differences between species, attributed to their different morphology. The mean total PAH concentration of the P. pinaster needles are over two times higher than P. pinea's. This difference is lower when the results are presented in lipid weight, but still statistically significant. Samples from the two sites with adjacent trees reinforce these conclusions, showing significant differences in terms of PAH mean concentration and aromatic ring patterns.  相似文献

Labdane diterpene acids were found to be the major resin acid components in Pinus nigra needles of various seed sources. The major constituents have been identified as 4-epiimbricataloic acid, manoyl oxide 19-oic acid, 4-epicommunic acid, and 15-monomethyl pinifolate. A GC method was developed to analytically differentiate pinifolic acid from its monomethyl ester in an admixture of both compounds. A minor resin acid was identified as 18-acetoxy-8(17)-labden-15-oic acid. 10-Nonacosanol and isoabienol were identified as major constituents of the needle and cortex extractives, respectively.  相似文献

Pinus pinaster is one of the most popular conifers used for reforestation in Morocco and represents an economically and ecologically important species for the region. In this study, nuclear microsatellites (ncSSRs) are used to compare genetic structure and diversity estimates of natural populations of Moroccan maritime pine. Samples were collected among 10 natural populations distributed in three biogeographically different regions, the Rif Mountain, the Middle and the High Atlas. Forty-five nuclear alleles at seven variable loci were found with a mean of 6.4 alleles per locus. A number of private alleles (17.1%) were shown in populations from Rif and Middle Atlas. Moreover, in Morocco, P. pinaster showed a lower genetic diversity than in other parts of its geographic range. Significant departures from Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium with excess homozygosity are observed indicating a high level of mating inside populations. Genetic diversity was structured with high variability among populations (Fst = 12%). Results show a correlation between genetic and geographic distances with an R-squared of 0.436. Two clusters were found using STRUCTURE, whereas three main clusters can be distinguished based on genetic distances of phylogenetic tree. Genetic relationships among maritime pine populations in Morocco appear to be related to historical, ecological as well as anthropogenic factors, suggesting the need for conservation strategies at the population level.  相似文献

The essential oil content of Hungarian samples of Tanacetum vulgare varies from 0.02 to 0.66% and exhibits a heterogeneous distribution indicating genetic variation. The rotatory power of the essential oil is also widely divergent and plants containing laevo-rotatory essential oils mainly occur in large numbers in the region east of the Tisza. The essential oil composition of wild plants remained constant during their cultivation. 26 different chemoforms have been found so far in Hungary. Individuals and populations containing artemisia ketone and umbellulone as their main components are the most frequent.  相似文献
