Perovskite solar cells have evolved to have compatible high efficiency and stability by employing mixed cation/halide type perovskite crystals as pinhole‐free large grain absorbers. The cesium (Cs)–formamidium–methylammonium triple cation‐based perovskite device fabricated in a glove box enables reproducible high‐voltage performance. This study explores the method to reproduce stable and high power conversion efficiency (PCE) of a triple cation perovskite prepared using a one‐step solution deposition and low‐temperature annealing fully conducted in controlled ambient humidity conditions. Optimizing the perovskite grain size by Cs concentration and solution processes, a route is created to obtain highly uniform, pinhole‐free large grain perovskite films that work with reproducible PCE up to 20.8% and high preservation stability without cell encapsulation for more than 18 weeks. This study further investigates the light intensity characteristics of open‐circuit voltage (Voc) of small (5 × 5 mm2, PCE > 20%) and large (10 × 10 mm2, PCE of 18%) devices. Intensity dependence of Voc shows an ideality factor in the range of 1.7‐1.9 for both devices, implying that the triple cation perovskite involves trap‐assisted recombination loss at the hetero junction interfaces that influences Voc. Despite relatively high ideality factor, perovskite device is capable of supplying high power conversion efficiency under low light intensity (0.01 Sun) whereas maintaining Voc over 0.9 V.  相似文献

Organometal halide perovskites have powerful intrinsic potential to drive next‐generation solar technology, but their insufficient thermomechanical reliability and unproven large‐area manufacturability limit competition with incumbent silicon photovoltaics. This work addresses these limitations by leveraging large‐area processing and robust inorganic hole transport layers (HTLs). Inverted perovskite solar cells utilizing NiOx HTLs deposited by rapid aqueous spray‐coating that outperform spin‐coated NiOx and lead to a 5× improvement in the fracture energy (Gc), a primary metric of thermomechanical stability, are presented. The morphology, chemical composition, and optoelectronic properties of the NiOx films are characterized to understand and optimize compatibility with an archetypal double cation perovskite, Cs.17FA.83Pb(Br.17I.83)3. Perovskite solar cells with sprayed NiOx show higher photovoltaic performance, exhibiting up to 82% fill factor and 17.7% power conversion efficiency (PCE)—the highest PCE reported for inverted cell with scalable charge transport layers—as well as excellent stability under full illumination and after 4000 h aging in inert conditions at room temperature. By utilizing open‐air techniques and aqueous precursors, this combination of robust materials and low‐cost processing provides a platform for scaling perovskite modules with long‐term reliability.  相似文献

The performance of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) relies on the synthesis method and chemical composition of the perovskite materials. So far, PSCs that have adopted two‐step sequential deposited perovskite with the state‐of‐art composition (FAPbI3)1?x(MAPbBr3)x (x < 0.05) have achieved record power conversion efficiency (PCE), while their one‐step antisolvent dripping counterparts with typical composition Cs0.05FA0.81MA0.14Pb(I0.85Br0.15)3 with more bromine have exhibited much better long‐term operational stability. Thus, halogen engineering that aims to elevate bromine content in sequential deposited perovskite film would push operational stability of PSCs toward that of antisolvent dripping deposited perovskite materials. Here, a Br‐rich seeding growth method is devised and perovskite seed solution with high bromine content is introduced into a PbI2 precursor, leading to bromine incorporation in the resulting perovskite film. Photovoltaic devices fabricated by Br‐rich seeding growth method exhibit a PCE of 21.5%, similar to 21.6% for PSCs having lower bromine content. Whereas, the operational stability of PSCs with higher bromine content is significantly enhanced, with over 80% of initial PCE retained after 500 h tracking at maximum power point under 1‐sun illumination. This work highlights the vital importance of halogen composition for the operational stability of PSCs, and introduces an effective way to incorporate bromine into mixed‐cation‐halide perovskite film via sequential deposition method.  相似文献

An efficient perovskite photovoltaic‐thermoelectric hybrid device is demonstrated by integrating the hole‐conductor‐free perovskite solar cell based on TiO2/ZrO2/carbon structure and the thermoelectric generator. The whole solar spectrum of AM 1.5 G is fully utilized with the ≈1.55 eV band gap perovskite (5‐AVA)x(MA)1?xPbI3 absorbing the visible light and the carbon back contact absorbing the infrared light. The added thermoelectric generator improves the device performance by converting the thermal energy into electricity via the Seebeck effect. An optimized hybrid device is obtained with a maximum point power output of 20.3% and open‐circuit voltage of 1.29 V under the irradiation of 100 mW cm?2.  相似文献

High‐quality charge carrier transport materials are of key importance for stable and efficient perovskite‐based photovoltaics. This work reports on electron‐beam‐evaporated nickel oxide (NiOx) layers, resulting in stable power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of up to 18.5% when integrated into solar cells employing inkjet‐printed perovskite absorbers. By adding oxygen as a process gas and optimizing the layer thickness, transparent and efficient NiOx hole transport layers (HTLs) are fabricated, exhibiting an average absorptance of only 1%. The versatility of the material is demonstrated for different absorber compositions and deposition techniques. As another highlight of this work, all‐evaporated perovskite solar cells employing an inorganic NiOx HTL are presented, achieving stable PCEs of up to 15.4%. Along with good PCEs, devices with electron‐beam‐evaporated NiOx show improved stability under realistic operating conditions with negligible degradation after 40 h of maximum power point tracking at 75 °C. Additionally, a strong improvement in device stability under ultraviolet radiation is found if compared to conventional perovskite solar cell architectures employing other metal oxide charge transport layers (e.g., titanium dioxide). Finally, an all‐evaporated perovskite solar mini‐module with a NiOx HTL is presented, reaching a PCE of 12.4% on an active device area of 2.3 cm2.  相似文献

Judicious choice of transport layer in organic–inorganic halide perovskite solar cells can be one of the essential parameters in photovoltaic design and fabrication techniques. This article reports the effect of optically generated dipoles in transport layer on the photovoltaic actions in active layer in perovskite solar cells with the architecture of indium tin oxide (ITO)/TiO x /CH3NH3PbI3–x Cl x /hole transport layer (HTL)/Au. Here, PTB7‐thieno[3,4‐b]thiophene‐alt‐benzodithiophene and P3HT‐poly(3‐hexylthiophene) are separately used as the HTL with significant and negligible photoinduced dipoles, respectively. Electric field‐induced photoluminescence quenching provides the first‐hand evidence to indicate that the photoinduced dipoles are partially aligned in the amorphous PTB7 layer under the influence of device built‐in field. By monitoring the recombination process through magneto‐photocurrent measurements under device operation condition, it is shown that the photoinduced dipoles in PTB7 layer can decrease the recombination of photogenerated carriers in the active layer in perovskite solar cells. Furthermore, the capacitance measurements suggest that the photoinduced dipoles in PTB7 can decrease charge accumulation at the electrode interface. Therefore, the studies indicate the important role of photoinduced dipoles in the HTL on charge recombination dynamics and provide a fundamental insight on how the polarization in transport layer can influence the device performance in perovskite solar cells.  相似文献

Efficient sunlight‐driven water splitting devices can be achieved by pairing two absorbers of different optimized bandgaps in an optical tandem design. With tunable absorption ranges and cell voltages, organic–inorganic metal halide perovskite solar cells provide new opportunities for tailoring top absorbers for such devices. In this work, semitransparent perovskite solar cells are developed for use as the top cell in tandem with a smaller bandgap photocathode to enable panchromatic harvesting of the solar spectrum. A new CuInxGa1‐xSe2 multilayer photocathode is designed, exhibiting excellent performance for photoelectrochemical water reduction and representing a near‐ideal bottom absorber. When pairing it below a semitransparent CH3NH3PbBr3‐based solar cell, a solar‐to‐hydrogen efficiency exceeding 6% is achieved, the highest value yet reported for a photovoltaic–photoelectrochemical device utilizing a single‐junction solar cell as the bias source under one sun illumination. The analysis shows that the efficiency can reach more than 20% through further optimization of the perovskite top absorber.  相似文献

Indoor photovoltaics are promising to enable self‐powered electronic devices for the Internet of Things. Here, reported is a triple‐anion CH3NH3PbI2?xBrClx perovskite film, of which the bandgap is specially designed for indoor light harvesting to achieve a record high efficiency of 36.2% with distinctive high open circuit voltage (Voc) of 1.028 V under standard 1000 lux fluorescent light. The involvement of both bromide and chloride suppresses the trap‐states and nonradiative recombination loss, exhibiting a remarkable ideality factor of 1.097. The introduction of chloride successfully restrains the halide segregation of iodide and bromide, stabilizing the triple‐anion perovskite film. The devices show an excellent long‐term performance, sustaining over 95% of original efficiency under continuous light soaking over 2000 h. These findings show the importance and potential of I/Br/Cl triple‐anion perovskite with tailored bandgap and suppressed trap‐states in stable and efficient indoor light recycling.  相似文献

Semitransparent perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are of interest for application in tandem solar cells and building‐integrated photovoltaics. Unfortunately, several perovskites decompose when exposed to moisture or elevated temperatures. Concomitantly, metal electrodes can be degraded by the corrosive decomposition products of the perovskite. This is even the more problematic for semitransparent PSCs, in which the semitransparent top electrode is based on ultrathin metal films. Here, we demonstrate outstandingly robust PSCs with semitransparent top electrodes, where an ultrathin Ag layer is sandwiched between SnOx grown by low‐temperature atomic layer deposition. The SnOx forms an electrically conductive permeation barrier, which protects both the perovskite and the ultrathin silver electrode against the detrimental impact of moisture. At the same time, the SnOx cladding layer underneath the ultra‐thin Ag layer shields the metal against corrosive halide compounds leaking out of the perovskite. Our semitransparent PSCs show an efficiency higher than 11% along with about 70% average transmittance in the near‐infrared region (λ > 800 nm) and an average transmittance of 29% for λ = 400–900 nm. The devices reveal an astonishing stability over more than 4500 hours regardless if they are exposed to ambient atmosphere or to elevated temperatures.  相似文献

Perovskite‐organic tandem solar cells are attracting more attention due to their potential for highly efficient and flexible photovoltaic device. In this work, efficient perovskite‐organic monolithic tandem solar cells integrating the wide bandgap perovskite (1.74 eV) and low bandgap organic active PBDB‐T:SN6IC‐4F (1.30 eV) layer, which serve as the top and bottom subcell, respectively, are developed. The resulting perovskite‐organic tandem solar cells with passivated wide‐bandgap perovskite show a remarkable power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 15.13%, with an open‐circuit voltage (Voc) of 1.85 V, a short‐circuit photocurrent (Jsc) of 11.52 mA cm?2, and a fill factor (FF) of 70.98%. Thanks to the advantages of low temperature fabrication processes and the flexibility properties of the device, a flexible tandem solar cell which obtain a PCE of 13.61%, with Voc of 1.80 V, Jsc of 11.07 mA cm?2, and FF of 68.31% is fabricated. Moreover, to demonstrate the achieved high Voc in the tandem solar cells for potential applications, a photovoltaic (PV)‐driven electrolysis system combing the tandem solar cell and water splitting electrocatalysis is assembled. The integrated device demonstrates a solar‐to‐hydrogen efficiency of 12.30% and 11.21% for rigid, and flexible perovskite‐organic tandem solar cell based PV‐driven electrolysis systems, respectively.  相似文献

Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) is added in the [6,6]‐Phenyl‐C61‐butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) electron transport layer (ETL) of planar inverted perovskite solar cells (PSCs), resulting in a power conversion efficiency (PCE) improvement of ≈12%, with a hysteresis‐free PCE of 14.5%, compared to 12.9% for the pristine PCBM based device. The universality of the method is demonstrated in PSCs based on CH3NH3PbI3?x Clx and CH3NH3PbI3 perovskites, deposited through one step and two step spin coating process, respectively. After a comprehensive spectroscopic characterization of both devices, it is clear that the introduction of rGO in PCBM ETL results in an important increase of the ETL conductivity, together with reduced series resistance and surface roughness. As a result, a significant photoluminescence quenching of such perovskite/ETL is observed, confirming the increased measured short circuit current density. Transient absorption measurements reveal that in the rGO‐based device, the relaxation process of the excited electrons is significantly faster compared to the reference, which implies that the charge injection rate is significantly faster for the first. Furthermore, the light soaking effect is significantly reduced. Finally, aging measurements reveal that the rGO stabilizes the ELT/perovskite interface, which results in the stabilization of perovskite crystal structure after prolonged illumination.  相似文献

Poly‐dimethylsiloxane (PDMS) films with 2D periodic inverted moth‐eye nanopatterns on one surface are implemented as antireflection (AR) layers on a glass substrate for efficient light capture in encapsulated organic solar cells (OSCs). The inverted moth‐eye nanopatterned PDMS (IMN PDMS) films are fabricated by a soft imprint lithographic method using conical subwavelength grating patterns formed by laser interference lithography/dry etching. Their optical characteristics, together with theoretical analysis using rigorous coupled‐wave analysis simulation, and wetting behaviors are investigated. For a period of 380 nm, IMN PDMS films laminated on glass substrates exhibit a hydrophobic surface with a water contact angle (θCA) of ≈120° and solar weighted transmittance (SWT) of ≈94.2%, both significantly higher than those (θCA≈ 36° and SWT ≈ 90.3%) of bare glass substrates. By employing IMN PDMS films with a period of 380 nm on glass substrates for OSCs, an enhanced power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 6.19% is obtained mainly due to the increased short‐circuit current density (Jsc) of 19.74 mA cm‐2 compared to the OSCs with the bare glass substrates (PCE = 5.16% and Jsc = 17.25 mA cm‐2). For the OSCs, the device stability is also studied.  相似文献

Minimizing carrier recombination at contact regions by using carrier‐selective contact materials, instead of heavily doping the silicon, has attracted considerable attention for high‐efficiency, low‐cost crystalline silicon (c‐Si) solar cells. A novel electron‐selective, passivating contact for c‐Si solar cells is presented. Tantalum nitride (TaN x ) thin films deposited by atomic layer deposition are demonstrated to provide excellent electron‐transporting and hole‐blocking properties to the silicon surface, due to their small conduction band offset and large valence band offset. Thin TaNx interlayers provide moderate passivation of the silicon surfaces while simultaneously allowing a low contact resistivity to n‐type silicon. A power conversion efficiency (PCE) of over 20% is demonstrated with c‐Si solar cells featuring a simple full‐area electron‐selective TaNx contact, which significantly improves the fill factor and the open circuit voltage (Voc) and hence provides the higher PCE. The work opens up the possibility of using metal nitrides, instead of metal oxides, as carrier‐selective contacts or electron transport layers for photovoltaic devices.  相似文献

All‐inorganic cesium lead halide (CsPbX3) perovskites have emerged as promising photovoltaic materials owing to their superior thermal stability compared to traditional organic–inorganic hybrid counterparts. However, the CsPbX3 perovskites generally need to be prepared at high‐temperature, which restricts their application in multilayer or flexible solar cells. Herein, the formation of CsPbX3 perovskites at room‐temperature (RT) induced by dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO) coordination is reported. It is further found that a RT solvent (DMSO) annealing (RTSA) treatment is valid to control the perovskite crystallization dynamics, leading to uniform and void‐free films, and consequently a maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 6.4% in the device indium tin oxide (ITO)/NiO x /RT‐CsPbI2Br/C60/Bathocuproine (BCP)/Ag, which is, as far as it is known, the first report of RT solution‐processed CsPbX3‐based perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Moreover, the efficiency can be boosted up to 10.4% by postannealing the RTSA‐treated perovskite film at an optimal temperature of 120 °C. Profiting from the moderate temperature, flexible PSCs are also demonstrated with a maximum PCE of 7.3% for the first time. These results may stimulate further development of all‐inorganic CsPbX3 perovskites and their application in flexible electronics.  相似文献

The mixed perovskite (FAPbI3)1?x (MAPbBr3)x , prepared by directly mixing different perovskite components, suffers from phase competition and a low‐crystallinity character, resulting in instability, despite the high efficiency. In this study, a dual ion exchange (DIE) method is developed by treating as‐prepared FAPbI3 with methylammonium brodide (MABr)/tert‐butanol solution. The converted perovskite thin film shows an optimized absorption edge at 800 nm after reaction time control, and the high crystallinity can be preserved after MABr incorporation. More importantly, it is found that the threshold electrical field to initiate ion migration is greatly increased in DIE perovskite thin film because excess MABr on the surface can effectively heal structural defects located on grain boundaries during the ion exchange process. It contributes to the over‐one‐month moisture stability under ≈65% room humidity (RH) and greatly enhanced light stability for the bare perovskite film. As a result of preserved high crystallinity and simultaneous grain boundary passivation, the perovskite solar cells fabricated by the DIE method demonstrate reliable reproducibility with an average power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 17% and a maximum PCE of 18.1%, with negligible hysteresis.  相似文献

Perovskite photovoltaics (PVs) have attracted attention because of their excellent power conversion efficiency (PCE). Critical issues related to large‐area PV performance, reliability, and lifetime need to be addressed. Here, it is shown that doped metal oxides can provide ideal electron selectivity, improved reliability, and stability for perovskite PVs. This study reports p‐i‐n perovskite PVs with device areas ranging from 0.09 cm2 to 0.5 cm2 incorporating a thick aluminum‐doped zinc oxide (AZO) electron selective contact with hysteresis‐free PCE of over 13% and high fill factor values in the range of 80%. AZO provides suitable energy levels for carrier selectivity, neutralizes the presence of pinholes, and provides intimate interfaces. Devices using AZO exhibit an average PCE increase of over 20% compared with the devices without AZO and maintain the high PCE for the larger area devices reported. Furthermore, the device stability of p‐i‐n perovskite solar cells under the ISOS‐D‐1 is enhanced when AZO is used, and maintains 100% of the initial PCE for over 1000 h of exposure when AZO/Au is used as the top electrode. The results indicate the importance of doped metal oxides as carrier selective contacts to achieve reliable and high‐performance long‐lived large‐area perovskite solar cells.  相似文献

In this work, the authors realize stable and highly efficient wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells that promise high power conversion efficiencies (PCE) and are likely to play a key role in next generation multi‐junction photovoltaics (PV). This work reports on wide‐bandgap (≈1.72 eV) perovskite solar cells exhibiting stable PCEs of up to 19.4% and a remarkably high open‐circuit voltage (VOC) of 1.31 V. The VOC‐to‐bandgap ratio is the highest reported for wide‐bandgap organic?inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells and the VOC also exceeds 90% of the theoretical maximum, defined by the Shockley–Queisser limit. This advance is based on creating a hybrid 2D/3D perovskite heterostructure. By spin coating n‐butylammonium bromide on the double‐cation perovskite absorber layer, a thin 2D Ruddlesden–Popper perovskite layer of intermediate phases is formed, which mitigates nonradiative recombination in the perovskite absorber layer. As a result, VOC is enhanced by 80 mV.  相似文献

Two chemically tailored new conjugated copolymers, HSL1 and HSL2, were developed and applied as hole selective layers to improve the anode interface of fullerene/perovskite planar heterojunction solar cells. The introduction of polar functional groups on the polymer side chains increases the surface energy of the hole selective layers (HSLs), which promote better wetting with the perovskite films and lead to better films with full coverage and high crystallinity. The deep highest occupied molecular orbital levels of the HSLs align well with the valence band of the perovskite semiconductors, resulted in increase photovoltage. The high lying lowest unoccupied molecule orbital level provides sufficient electron blocking ability to prevent electrons from reaching the anode and reduces the interfacial trap‐assisted recombination at the poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate)/perovskite interface, resulting in a longer charge‐recombination lifetime and shorter charge‐extraction time. In the presence of the HSLs, high‐performance CH3NH3PbI x Cl3? x perovskite solar cells with a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 16.6% (V oc: 1.07 V) and CH3NH3Pb(I0.3Br0.7) x Cl3? x cells with a PCE of 10.3% (V oc: 1.34 V) can be realized.  相似文献

Over the past five years, a rapid progress in organometal‐halide perovskite solar cells has greatly influenced emerging solar energy science and technology. In perovksite solar cells, the overlying hole transporting material (HTM) is critical for achieving high power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) and for protecting the air‐sensitive perovskite active layer. This study reports the synthesis and implementation of a new polymeric HTM series based on semiconducting 4,8‐dithien‐2‐yl‐benzo[1,2‐d;4,5‐d′]bistriazole‐alt‐benzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b′]dithiophenes (pBBTa‐BDTs), yielding high PCEs and environmentally‐stable perovskite cells. These intrinsic (dopant‐free) HTMs achieve a stabilized PCE of 12.3% in simple planar heterojunction cells—the highest value to date for a polymeric intrinsic HTM. This high performance is attributed to efficient hole extraction/collection (the most efficient pBBTa‐BDT is highly ordered and orients π‐face‐down on the perovskite surface) and balanced electron/hole transport. The smooth, conformal polymer coatings suppress aerobic perovskite film degradation, significantly enhancing the solar cell 85 °C/65% RH PCE stability versus typical molecular HTMs.  相似文献

The presence of bulk and surface defects in perovskite light harvesting materials limits the overall efficiency of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The formation of such defects is suppressed by adding methylammonium chloride (MACl) as a crystallization aid to the precursor solution to realize high‐quality, large‐grain triple A‐cation perovskite films and that are combined with judicious engineering of the perovskite interface with the electron and hole selective contact materials. A planar SnO2/TiO2 double layer oxide is introduced to ascertain fast electron extraction and the surface of the perovskite facing the hole conductor is treated with iodine dissolved in isopropanol to passivate surface trap states resulting in a retardation of radiationless carrier recombination. A maximum solar to electric power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 21.65% and open circuit photovoltage (Voc) of ≈1.24 V with only ≈370 mV loss in potential with respect to the band gap are achieved, by applying these modifications. Additionally, the defect healing enhances the operational stability of the devices that retain 96%, 90%, and 85% of their initial PCE values after 500 h under continuously light illumination at 20, 50, and 65 °C, respectively, demonstrating one of the most stable planar PSCs reported so far.  相似文献
