The obtained results show that secretory elements of the tongue integuments submerged to the depth of the organ. It was accompanied by a formation and complication of terminal portions of the glands and their secretory pathways. In the process of evolution there occurred a divergence in the development of glandular cells from mucous ones in fishes through mucoserous and seromucous cells of amphibia and reptiles to mucous, seromucous and protein cells in the tongue glands of higher mammals. In mucous glands of terranian vertebrates, especially in mammals, the number of components in the composition of the produced secretion was found to increase.  相似文献

In the present study, the parotoid region, dorsal and ventral integuments of Lyciasalamandra billae and Lyciasalamandra luschani basoglui were investigated in terms of localization of hyaluronic acid (HA) and histochemical characteristics. HA immunoreactivity was carried out using biotinylated hyaluronic acid binding protein (B-HABP) labelled with streptavidin-fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC). HA was mainly localized in the stratum spongiosum of L. billae and L. luschani basoglui for water homeostasis and skin functionality. Light microscopic observations revealed that the dorsal and ventral integuments of L. billae and L. luschani basoglui exhibited basic morphological characteristics of other amphibians: the epidermis was composed of a stratified squamous epithelium and the dermis subdivided into stratum spongiosum and stratum compactum. Two different types of dermal glands (mucous and granular glands) were identified in the spongious dermis of the dorsal and ventral integuments whereas in the parotoid region, three different types of glands (mucous, granular and parotoid glands) were examined.  相似文献

Samples of muscle from 120 black bears (Ursus americanus), 11 grizzly bears (Ursus arctos), and 27 wolves (Canis lupus) collected in the Dehcho Region of the Northwest Territories from 2001 to 2010 were examined for the presence of Trichinella spp. larvae using a pepsin-HCl digestion assay. Trichinella spp. larvae were found in eight of 11 (73%) grizzly bears, 14 of 27 (52%) wolves, and seven of 120 (5.8%) black bears. The average age of positive grizzly bears, black bears, and wolves was 13.5, 9.9, and approximately 4 yr, respectively. Larvae from 11 wolves, six black bears, and seven grizzly bears were genotyped. Six wolves were infected with T. nativa and five with Trichinella T6, four black bears were infected with T. nativa and two with Trichinella T6, and all seven grizzly bears were infected with Trichinella T6 and one of them had a coinfection with T. nativa. This is the first report of T. nativa in a grizzly bear from Canada. Bears have been linked to trichinellosis outbreaks in humans in Canada, and black bears are a subsistence food source for residents of the Dehcho region. In order to assess food safety risk it is important to monitor the prevalence of Trichinella spp. in both species of bear and their cohabiting mammalian food sources.  相似文献

With light and electron microscopy structure and composition of the small intestine parietal mucous layer of rat, chicken, and man were studied. It has been shown that parietal layer is complicated and multicomponent system includes mucous glycoproteins, vesicular and membrane structures, epithelial cells fragments, food substrates particles and bacteria. It is assumed that subepithelial mucous layer components may be of significance in premembrane digestion and absorption.  相似文献

The intraorganic lymphatic bed of the canine tongue mucous membrane is presented by the superficial and deep capillary networks and by the plexuses of the intraorganic lymphatic vessels. The capillaries of the superficial network in the thickness of the mucous membrane of the dorsal surface of the lingual tip, body and root form the lymphatic bed of the mechanical and gustatory papillas. The diameter of the capillaries in the both networks and in the intraorganic lymphatic vessels is greater in the mucous membrane of the ventral surface of the tip and of the lateral surfaces of the lingual body, and density of their arrangement is higher in the mucous membrane on the dorsal surface of the lingual tip, body and root. The capillaries of the superficial network in all areas of the lingual mucous membrane are thinner than those of the deep network, and the loops formed by the capillaries of the superficial network are less than the loops of the deep network.  相似文献

In 55 men and 60 women who had had not any pathology in their biliary-pancreato-duodenal system during life, microrelief of the mucous membrane in the major duodenal papilla has been studied by means of light and scanning electron microscopy. It is defined by variants of fusion of the common bile duct and the pancreatic duct in the papilla. Three main variants of the ducts fusion are defined and, respectively, three main varieties of the structure of the mucous membrane folds. When the ducts flow into the same orifice separately, the mucous membrane relief is even, parvigranular and there are no fold-valves. In the common major duodenal papilla, the architectonics of the mucous membrane resembles the valve that acts as a block-outlet mechanism.  相似文献

The intraorganic venous bed of the gastric cardial part has been studied in 27 organs, obtained from children corpses of both sex beginning from birth up to three years of life. They died from causes that were not connected with gastric or vascular system pathology. The results of the investigation prove the presence of mucous, submucous, muscular and serous-subserous venous plexuses in the wall of the gastric cardial part in children of the first three years of life. Every membrane of the stomach wall has its specific structure of the venous link in the microcirculatory bed. In the stomach mucous membrane already in a newborn there are complexly built microcirculatory pathways. Age changes are mostly expressed in the venous link of the gastric mucous membrane; this is probably connected with functional activity of the given layer of the organ. The largest venous vessels are situated in the gastric submucous base. By the end of the newborn period and, especially fully, during the successive age periods immune protection of the gastric wall is formed as an accumulation of lymphoid tissue to an antigenic effect of food. In these age groups certain structural mechanisms of blood outflow from the gastric wall appear.  相似文献

The study of the adhesion of Shigella flexneri to intestinal mucosal explants from human postabortion fetuses, used as an experimental model, has revealed that the process of interaction between the infective agent and the epithelium develops in accordance with Langmuir's equation of the adsorption isotherm. The specific biological feature of the adhesive interaction between bacteria and the mucous membrane is the fact that the effective adhesion of microbes is possible only in case of their high concentration on the surface of the mucous membrane. In case of their low concentration in the parietal layer no microbial adhesion is observed, whereas epithelial villi infected with shigellae and fixed to the mucous membrane of the explant produce a high parietal concentration of the infective agents, which leads to the increase of adhesion by more than two orders.  相似文献

By means of macro-microscopical methods 80 stomachs from persons of various age have been studied. In the mucous membrane of the human stomach during all age periods of postnatal development the lymphoid tissue is present as diffusely scattered lymphocytes, their microaccumulations and lymphoid noduli. Maximal amount of the lymphoid noduli is observed during the second mature age. The greatest number of the lymphoid noduli per 1 cm2 of the mucous membrane surface is revealed in the area of the lesser curvature and in the pyloric part of the stomach. Most often the lymphoid noduli are situated in the depth of the lumen proper of the mucous membrane, somewhat more seldom--in its more superficial parts, in the muscular lamina and in the submucous tela. The lymphoid noduli with germinative centers are met beginning from the first childhood up to old age. The greatest amount of diffusively scattered lymphocytes is situated near the lymphoid noduli and in the deep layer of the lamina proper of the mucous membrane.  相似文献

By means of the transmissive and scanning electron microscopy methods and radioautography, structure of mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum has been studied under experimentally induced duodenal ulcers before and after vagotomy during various time. The vagotomy results in accelerated healing of the ulcer defect. This is connected with an increased proliferative activity in the crypta cells, however, this is accompanied with deceleration of their differentiation. Under the duodenal ulcers the amount of chief and parietal cells increases in the gastric mucous membrane, this depends on gastrostasis produced by stenosis of the pylorus. At vagotomy the amount of the chief and parietal cells in the fundal glands of the mucous membrane decreases; this is accompanied with a lowered secretory activity.  相似文献

Morphological state of connective tissue (stromal) cells of the stomach mucous membrane has been studied in healthy persons, having a habitual regime of feeding. During digestive period in the stomach mucous membrane, certain changes develop, which are considered as a digestive reaction. Three stages of the digestive reaction, having strict morphological signs are determined, their connections being stated by means of morphometry and mathematical analysis. I stage (preparatory) is characterized with a moderate vascular reaction, degranulation of mast cells under the superficial++ epithelium of the mucous membrane, with a moderate neutrophilic leukopedesis and a moderate lymphocytic infiltration; II stage (developed) is distinguished as a definitely demonstrated reaction of the microcirculatory bed, intensive degranulation of mast cells at all levels of the mucous membrane, massive discharge of neutrophilic granulocytes and lymphocytes into stroma; III stage (restorative) is characterized with a predominance of fibroblasts and fibrocytes, with reparation of mast cells, with decreasing saturation of stroma with neutrophilic granulocytes, lymphocytes, an increased number of eosinophilic granulocytes takes place. The data obtained widen our knowledge on functional morphology of the stomach mucous membrane, normal and at gastroduodenal pathology.  相似文献

The analysis of histological changes in epithelium layer of mucous membrane and its microcirculatory channel of human oesophagus show that development and formation of epithelium and its capillary channel are interwoven processes. Dynamics of their morphological changes strictly correspond to a definite age stage of organ individual development. Changing each other determined four types of capillaries of mucous membrane epithelium layer and determined the degree of its functional development.  相似文献

Leeches Hirudo medicinalis were exposed to either artificial pond water (APW; 1 mM NaCl) or to high-salinity conditions (HS; 200 mM NaCl) for several days. The aim of the study was to assess whether transepithelial ion conductances in their dorsal integuments were affected by this long-term acclimation. In voltage-clamp experiments using Ussing-type chambers, the transepithelial potential V(T) was clamped to 0 mV, and amiloride-sensitive currents (I(ami)) and total Na(+) transport (I(Na)) were determined. Apical Ca(2+)-free conditions strongly increased I(ami) to a similar magnitude in both differently acclimated integuments. Apical application of the lanthanide gadolinium <0.1 mM decreased the short-circuit current (I(sc)). In contrast, higher concentrations up to 10 mM Gd(3+) upregulated I(sc) by an additional 90% in APW integuments and by an additional 300% in HS integuments. This Gd(3+) effect was due to a doubling of I(Na) in APW and a more than sixfold increase of I(Na) in HS integuments. In summary, the macroscopic electrophysiological variables, including I(Na), were generally not affected by long-term exposure to high salinity. However, the presence of Gd(3+)-sensitive Na(+) conductances or regulating structures were greatly upregulated during HS acclimation.  相似文献

Overall quantity of microorganisms and their relative prevalence on nasal mucous membrane in patients with allergic rhinosinusitis are determined. Microbial flora in studied group was characterized qualitatively and quantitatively. Obtained results showed that there were changes of microbiocenosis of nasal mucous membrane during allergic rhinosinusitis and in characteristics of species in Staphylococcus genus.  相似文献

Slipper limpets use different ciliary feeding mechanisms as larvae and adults. Veliger larvae of Crepidula fornicata developed part of the adult feeding apparatus, including ctenidial filaments, neck lobe, and radula, before metamorphosis, but ctenidial feeding did not begin until well after loss of the larval feeding apparatus (velum) at metamorphosis. Earlier initiation of ctenidial feeding by individuals that were older larvae when metamorphosis occurred suggests continued development toward ctenidial feeding during delay of metamorphosis. Early juveniles produced a ciliary current through the mantle cavity and moved the radula in a grasping action before they began to capture algal cells on mucous strands or form a food cord. Either early juveniles could not yet form mucous strands or they delayed their production until development of other necessary structures. The neck canal for transporting food from ctenidium to mouth cannot develop before velar loss. In their first feeding, juveniles fed much like the adults except that the neck canal was less developed and the path of the food cord toward the mouth sometimes varied. As suspension feeders, calyptraeids lack the elaborations of foregut that complicate transition to juvenile feeding for many caenogastropods, but a path for the food cord must develop after velar loss. Why individuals can initiate ctenidial feeding sooner when they are older at metamorphosis is not yet known. The juveniles became sedentary soon after metamorphosis and were not observed to feed by scraping the substratum with the radula, in contrast to the first feeding by juveniles of another calyptraeid species, observed by Montiel et al. From 1998 to 2000, 184 animals (82 wolves, 29 red foxes, 55 mustelids, 5 raccoon dogs, and 13 domestic dogs), mainly shot by hunters in the Tvier and Smoliensk regions of northwest European Russia, were tested for Trichinella larvae; 98 animals (53.3%) were found to be positive. The highest prevalence was detected in wolf (97.5%). Trichinella nativa was the most common species detected (98%). The diet of wolves was investigated by examining the stomach contents of 62 animals (75.6% of the total number of wolves examined for Trichinella). It consisted mainly of dog (36.4% of the total number of occurrences of all food items, PFO) and moose (31.2 PFO); however, during the hunting seasons of 1998-1999 and 1999-2000, skinned wolf carcasses were left in the forest as bait (567 carcasses, about 18,000 kg). This very high prevalence of Trichinella infection, the highest ever detected in a natural population of carnivores, could be explained by carnivore-carnivore transmission, influenced by the hunting practices adopted in the study area.  相似文献

The recurrent laryngeal nerve divides in the most cases outside of the larynx into 2 twigs. The thicker ventral branch has a posterior and an anterior twig. From the posterior one, we counted 6.22 (1 to 12) branches to the posterior cricoarytenoid muscle and 1.48 (1 to 3) to the arytenoid muscle. From the anterior branch 3.54 (1 to 6) twigs run to the lateral cricoarytenoid muscle and 2.06 (1 to 5) to the thyreo-arytenoid muscle. An Ansa GALENI was found in 66%. Its diameter was cranial greater than caudal, its length was measured with 73.6 (56 to 96) mm. A single anastomose was found in 54%, and in 12% numerous variations. We found 8.5 (3 to 13) thicker twigs, which divided themselves in 17 thinner twigs. To the mucous membrane we found 78.5% and to muscles 21.5%. In cases without anastomoses, 3.5 (2 to 5) twigs were running to muscles and 13.4 (1 to 25) to the mucous membrane. The diameter and length of the twigs and their course to muscles and mucous membrane have been estimated. The results are discussed with those of earlier authors.  相似文献

The integument of ribbon worms in the order Heteronemertea is distinct from the integuments in the other taxa of nemerteans due to the presence of a special subepidermal glandular layer, the cutis. Among heteronemerteans, the ultrastructure of the cutis has been studied only in the Lineus ruber species complex. In the current study, ultrastructural (transmission electron microscopy) and histochemical studies of the epidermis and the cutis of Micrura bella from the basal Lineage A of the family Lineidae were performed. The epidermis consisted of ciliated and serous gland cells and is separated from the cutis by a layer of the subepidermal extracellular matrix; the basal lamina was not detected. The cutis comprised musculature, two types of mucous and four types of granular gland cells, and pigment cells with four types of granules. In the cutis of juvenile worms, type II granular gland cells and type II mucous cells were not observed. The integument of the caudal cirrus consisted of ciliated and serous gland cells and two intraepidermal lateral nerve cords; the cutis was absent. The compositions of the integument glands of M. bella and the L. ruber species complex are similar, except for the presence of type IV granular gland cells with narrow rod-shaped and lamellated granules exhibiting an alternating dark and light transverse layers and type II mucous cells found only in M. bella.  相似文献

The flow of nutrients through the digestive tract of Gryllus bimaculatus is regulated by the proventriculus, which effectively triturates the partially digested food coming from the crop and shoves the mushy nutrient mass into the space between the paired caeca. The many folds at the base of the caeca form a sieve, and only fine food particles (4-10 microm) and fluids in the mush are filtered under pressure (produced by proventricular peristalsis) into the caeca. Combined with the release of enzymes in the caeca and the influx of water, the caeca are rapidly inflated on day 1 after the terminal molt. The remaining, mostly undigested food is shoved into a tube formed by the peritrophic membrane, which is first formed at the anterior end of the ventriculus. A mucous membrane (peritrophic gel) covers the caecal epithelium, and seems to merge with the true peritrophic membrane at the beginning of the ventriculus. The Type I peritrophic membrane is dragged posteriorly through the entire ventriculus and ileum by the posterior movement of the food bolus, which is shoved posteriorly at a rate of 6 mm/h by proventricular pressure. The growth rate of the peritrophic membrane is about 3 mm/h. Peristalsis does not occur in the midgut or ileum; the muscles in these regions function solely to counteract the internal pressure produced by the proventriculus. The exo- and endoperitrophic space in newly molted animals is open and fluids can flow in both directions. The endoperitrophic space becomes filled on day 1, and leads to a great reduction of the exoperitrophic space. In the ileal pouch (exoperitrophic space) the peritrophic membrane separates the mass of bacteria from the waste bolus within the endoperitrophic space. Feathery bristles arising from the cuticular covering of the finger-like invaginations of the ileal wall hold most of the bacterial mass in place. The crop weight decreases from day 1 to day 3 as the weight of caeca, ventriculus, and ileum increases. After day 3, food uptake and the weight of the entire gut system decrease in female crickets, partly in response to space restrictions in the abdomen caused by rapid ovarial growth.  相似文献

The release of mucus from acinar cells of the cat submandibular gland was examined by electron microscopy. The limiting membrane of mucous droplets fuses with the luminal plasma membrane to form a five-layered contact. This is converted to a three-layered membrane (unit membrane) by avulsion of the plasmalemma. Attenuation and rupture of this membranous barrier permits the contents of the mucous droplets to flow into the lumen.  相似文献
