干旱胁迫下白刺花种子大小与萌发对策   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
种子大小与种子萌发及其与环境因子的关系是植物种子萌发对策研究中的重要科学问题之一。采用PEG模拟干旱法研究不同干旱胁迫强度(0,5%,10%,15%,20%)下,白刺花(Sophora davidii)种子萌发进程、种子大小与种子萌发及种子命运的关系。结果表明:不同干旱胁迫下,白刺花种子具有相似的萌发进程,但中度干旱处理(10%PEG)萌发率显著高于零干旱(0%PEG)和重度干旱处理(P0.05),重度干旱处理(20%PEG)种子萌发开始时间晚于零干旱和中度干旱处理;种子大小与种子萌发开始时间的关系表现为零干旱处理下呈极显著负线性关系,中度干旱处理(5%PEG,10%PEG)下无相关关系,重度干旱处理(15%PEG,20%PEG)下呈负二次曲线关系;种子大小对种子命运的影响表现为零干旱处理有利于大、小种子萌发和小种子休眠,中度干旱处理(10%PEG)增加中等种子萌发、大种子休眠和小种子死亡风险,重度干旱处理(15%PEG,20%PEG)增加大种子死亡风险、中等种子和小种子休眠。综合分析表明,白刺花种子大小与萌发行为及种子命运的关系具有较强的环境依赖性,即种子萌发行为表现为顺境下种子越大萌发越快,逆境下小种子和大种子较中等种子萌发更快;种子命运表现为顺境增加种子死亡的风险,中度干扰有利于种子萌发,逆境则有利于种子休眠。  相似文献

再生水资源可浇灌农田,但水中含有的阴离子可使土壤产生盐胁迫。为研究盐胁迫对藜麦(Chenopodium quinoa)种子萌发特性及胚根、胚芽生长的影响,该研究以6个藜麦品种(红藜麦、国红藜麦、台红藜麦、台紫红藜麦、黄藜麦、台黄红藜麦)为材料,分别以NaCl、Na2SO4、NaHCO3和对照(CK)处理6个藜麦品种种子,测定其发芽率、胚根、胚芽抑制率等指标,运用均方差决策法对不同藜麦品种耐盐性进行综合评价,初步筛选出不同盐胁迫下耐盐性较强的品种。结果表明:(1)三种盐胁迫中,Na2SO4对种子萌发指标抑制作用最明显,6个藜麦品种的发芽率均相对较低,一直保持在5%以下,除黄藜麦、台黄红藜麦,其余4个品种的活力指数和生长速率均为0,除黄藜麦外,Na2SO4 对其余5个藜麦品种的胚根、胚芽抑制率均达到100%;NaCl对种子萌发和生长的抑制作用较小,甚至可促进胚根和胚芽生长,国红藜麦和台黄红藜麦的生长速率在NaCl处理下始终高于对照,在9 ...  相似文献

Effects of osmotic tension, salinity and alkalinity were studied on seed germination of three grasses of Karnal-Kurukshetra region with a view to evaluating their capacity to establish through seeds in saline and alkaline environments. Experiments were conducted under controlled conditions in petri dishes lined with blotting papers that were wetted with non-ionic osmotic solutions of mannitol (–2.5 to –15 bars); salinized solutions of NaCl, Na2SO4, MgCl2 and CaSO4 (Electrical conductivity, EC, ranging from 4 to 16 dS/m), alkaline solutions of Na2CO3 (pH 9 to 10) and also in dishes filled with alkali soil grades of the same pH range. Seed germination of all the three grasses was observed to be delayed and finally suppressed by the stress conditions, magnitude of reduction being related to the kind and level of stress as well as to the species. WhileSorghum halepense showed a strikingly superior stress-resistance,Panicum miliare did not appear to be suited to establishment through seeds.Diplachne fusca, on the other hand, was found to be remarkably adapted to alkalinity.  相似文献

为探究Zn、Cu与盐复合胁迫对翅碱蓬(Suaeda salsa)萌发生长的影响机理及其调控措施,以翅碱蓬为研究对象,采用水培试验方法,测定Zn、Cu和盐复合胁迫条件下翅碱蓬种子发芽率、萌发速率和幼苗渗透调节物质含量等指标,分析1.5 mg/L吲哚乙酸(IAA)、100 mg/L赤霉素(GA)和0.3%硝酸钾(KNO3)处理对Zn、Cu与盐复合胁迫条件下翅碱蓬萌发与生长的影响。结果表明:(1) Zn、Cu与高盐复合胁迫极显著降低翅碱蓬种子的发芽率,中高浓度的Zn、Cu与盐复合胁迫极显著降低翅碱蓬种子的萌发速率,Zn、Cu和盐复合胁迫对翅碱蓬种子的萌发生长影响表现为低促高抑效应,影响因子间存在明显的协同效应;(2)Zn、Cu和盐复合胁迫条件下,随着盐浓度的升高,翅碱蓬幼苗体内过氧化氢酶(CAT)、过氧化物酶(POD)和超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)3种抗氧化酶活性呈先升高后降低的变化趋势,Zn、Cu和高盐复合胁迫使翅碱蓬幼苗体内丙二醛(MDA)含量增加近2.5倍;(3)1.5 mg/L IAA溶液浸种12 h可显著提高Zn、Cu与高盐复合胁迫条件下翅碱蓬种子的发芽率和萌发速...  相似文献

We used a double germination phenology or “move-along” experiment (sensu Baskin and Baskin, 2003) to characterize seed dormancy in two medicinal woodland herbs, Collinsonia canadensis L. (Lamiaceae) and Dioscorea villosa L. (Dioscoreaceae). Imbibed seeds of both species were moved through the following two sequences of simulated thermoperiods: (a) 30/15 °C→20/10 °C→15/6 °C→5 °C→15/6 °C→20/10 °C→30/15 °C, and (b) 5 °C→15/6 °C→20/10 °C→30/15 °C→20/10 °C→15/6 °C→5 °C. In each sequence, seeds of both species germinated to high rates (>85%) at cool temperatures (15/6 and 20/10 °C) only if seeds were previously exposed to cold temperatures (5 °C). Seeds kept at four control thermoperiods (5, 15/6, 20/10, 30/15 °C) for 30 d showed little or no germination. Seeds of both species, therefore, have physiological dormancy that is broken by 12 weeks of cold (5 °C) stratification. Morphological studies indicated that embryos of C. canadensis have “investing” embryos at maturity (morphological dormancy absent), whereas embryos of D. villosa are undeveloped at maturity (morphological dormancy present). Because warm temperatures are required for embryo growth and cold stratification breaks physiological dormancy, D. villosa seeds have non-deep simple morphophysiological dormancy (MPD). Neither species afterripened in a 6-month dry storage treatment. Cold stratification treatments of 4 and 8 weeks alleviated dormancy in both species but C. canadensis seeds germinated at slower speeds and lower rates compared to seeds given 12 weeks of cold stratification. In their natural habitat, both species disperse seeds in mid- to late autumn and germinate in the spring after cold winter temperatures alleviate endogenous dormancy.  相似文献

外源cGMP调控盐胁迫下黑麦草种子萌发机制   总被引:4,自引:2,他引:4  
c GMP(cyclic guanosine-3',5'-monophosphate)是一类环化核苷酸,能响应植物非生物胁迫的信号分子。以c GMP的膜透性类似物8-Br-cGMP为供体,研究c GMP对盐胁迫下黑麦草种子萌发及生理指标的影响。通过计算萌发指标、测定种子萌发过程中各项生理指标,探讨c GMP对黑麦草种子萌发时耐盐机制的作用。结果表明:低浓度(50 mmol/L)盐胁迫能促进黑麦草种子的萌发,随着盐浓度(100、150、200、250 mmol/L)的增加黑麦草种子的萌发率逐渐降低甚至抑制其萌发。而加入20μmol/L c GMP能缓解100 mmol/L Na Cl胁迫对黑麦草种子造成的伤害,使黑麦草种子的发芽率、发芽势、发芽指数、活力指数分别提高了7.4%、133.3%、52.1%、104.2%。此外,研究发现加入20μmol/Lc GMP能够促进100 mmol/L Na Cl盐胁迫下黑麦草萌发期根的生长,比单独100 mmol/L Na Cl盐胁迫处理下的黑麦草植株全长、根长、叶长分别提高了2.5、2.8倍和2.6倍,种子在萌发过程中可溶性糖、可溶性蛋白含量、淀粉酶活性,脯氨酸含量分别提高了47.9%、15.7%、94.3%、117.4%,而淀粉含量、MDA含量、电导率,O_2~-产生速率分别降低了40.9%、128.7%、88.6%、211.9%。说明20μmol/Lc GMP通过提高可溶性糖,可溶性蛋白含量及脯氨酸含量,同时减少MDA、O_2~-的产生,以此缓解盐胁迫对黑麦草种子的伤害、同时促进淀粉水解,从而加速种子萌发。  相似文献

Methods for production of containerized seedlings ofAlnus species were developed which permit nitrogen-fixing nodules to form on the root systems prior to outplanting, in order to provide an early nitrogen input during seedling establishment. The methods are based on procedures for inoculating root systems with suspensions ofFrankia (Actinomycetales), applied either directly in the container cell as a soil drench at the time of seeding, or as a root dip for seedlings transplanted into the containers. Germination of dried, stored seed was enhanced by light and by presoaking for 16 h in water. Pretreatments to overcome seed dormancy or to eliminate fungal pathogens did not further enhance germination. Some loss of seedlings was recorded in the early stages of growth shortly after germination, which is a factor in calculating projected seedling yield. Nodulation and seedling growth were evaluated in terms of growth media characteristics. Seedlings performed well in peat-vermiculite, at soil pH between 5.5 and 8.0.  相似文献

The authors examined altitudinal variations in the thermal responses of seed germination and seedling growth inReynoutria japonica (=Polygonum cuspidatum) under controlled environmental conditions. Seed populations were collected from different altitudes on Mt Fuji in Japan. The mean seed weight of the upland populations (above 1500 m) was significantly (1.5-fold) heavier than that of the lowland populations (below 1400 m). Under the lowest temperature regime of 15/10°C (day/night) the upland populations showed a significantly higher percentage and speed of germination than the lowland populations; this was not significant under higher temperature regimes. These results indicate that the germination traits of the upland populations on Mt Fuji are favorable for colonization in their cold habitats (low temperature and short growing season). Growth and shoot development were compared between the seedlings grown from seeds collected at altitudes of 700 and 2420 m. The upland seedlings showed a significantly larger biomass and leaf area than the lowland seedlings at 15°C, but there was no difference at 25°C. The difference in biomass at 15°C was attributed to the difference in seed weight. The upland seedlings produced a significantly larger number of branches with smaller and more numerous leaves at both 15°C and 25°C. these developmental traits of the upland seedlings were considered to represent the adaptation of the life form to upland environments. It was concluded that theR. japonica populations along an altitudinal gradient on Mt Fuji can be classified into two ecotypes, whose distribution border lies at an altitude of about 1400–1500m. In this study, the seed weight and germination traits of twoR. japonica seed populations collected in Chiba Prefecture were briefly compared with those of the lowland populations on Mt Fuji.  相似文献

岩黄连是一种多年生草本植物,主要分布于我国西南部岩溶地区,具有重要的生态及医药价值,开发利用前景广阔。由于生存环境脆弱和人为采挖的影响使得野生岩黄连资源面临枯竭,因此被列入2021年国家重点保护野生植物名录。为探索该物种濒危的原因,该文研究了种子保存方法、化学试剂前处理、温度、光照、干旱、pH以及混沙保湿冷藏处理对种子萌发的影响。结果表明:(1)低温保存能够延长岩黄连种子的活性,保存2 a的种子萌发率仍能达到30%。(2)化学试剂HCl及NaClO对种子的前处理使其发芽率提升50%~60%;种子在20℃时萌发率能达到50%,而30℃时基本不能萌发;黑暗条件下的萌发率显著高于周期性光照条件;萌发率随着干旱程度加深不断下降;萌发率在pH值3.0~8.0的条件下无显著变化。(3)混沙保湿冷藏使种子发芽势和萌发率显著提高,萌发率达到对照的2倍。综上认为,岩黄连种子在室温条件下易失活且不能在30℃以上高温萌发的特性与其濒危有较大关系;高效的种子萌发方法可以为岩黄连保护与产业化应用提供有效途径。该研究结果为野生岩黄连的保育提供了理论和技术保障,为其大田栽培和产业化推广提供了技术支持。  相似文献

Maize caryopses sown in water germinate equally well either in darkness or under any light regime. However, when they are imbibed in mannitol solutions, continuous far-red light proves to be strongly inhibitory on the final germination as compared to darkness. Similar but less pronounced inhibition is also exhibited by continuous red or blue light. Intermittent far-red light can partially substitute for continuous far-red light in inhibiting maize caryopsis germination, and its effect is reversed to the intermittent red light level when red light is given immediately after each far-red illumination. 恶劣环境下,人工海防林因面临养分胁迫而经营困难。为探讨盐、磷胁迫对主要海防林树种木麻黄和台湾相思种子萌发及生长的影响,该研究分别用不同浓度的NaCl(盐)和KH2PO4(磷)溶液处理种子和浇灌幼苗,测定种子萌发和幼苗生长指标。结果表明:(1)高盐胁迫显著抑制种子萌发,对幼苗生长有一定影响,但两种植物影响程度不同;台湾相思种子萌发耐盐性高于木麻黄,前者相对盐害率最大值为23.03%,后者为89.15%;随着盐浓度增加,木麻黄和台湾相思种子的发芽率、发芽势、发芽指数和活力指数均降低,对应最大值分别为38.70%、34.67%、18.70、0.055和76.67%、62.22%、48.46、6.11。(2)两种植物的株高和根长随盐浓度增加而降低,木麻黄和台湾相思株高分别为12.29~6.01 mm和48.27~17.33 mm,根长分别为8.57~1.45 mm和33.41~5.88 mm;台湾相思根、茎、叶生物量及根冠比均随盐浓度的增加逐渐减小,木麻黄各处理差异较小。(3)台湾相思的种子和幼苗较木麻黄更耐低磷环境,二者最适磷浓度存在差异;木麻黄种...  相似文献

为探究重金属复合胁迫对金川镍铜矿区广布植物碱蓬Suaeda salsa(L.)Pall.的影响,根据当地环境条件及预实验结果设置胁迫梯度,测定分析重金属胁迫下碱蓬种子萌发和芽期生理指标,并从野外站台取样研究碱蓬重金属富集能力。结果表明:无论是单一胁迫还是低浓度复合胁迫(Cu20和Ni20复合),发芽期碱蓬的生长均呈现"低促高抑"的趋势,即低浓度(≤40 mg/L)时促进碱蓬生长,高浓度(≥80 mg/L)时抑制碱蓬生长;高浓度复合胁迫(Cu320和Ni320复合)下均抑制碱蓬的生长。MDA(丙二醛)的含量随胁迫浓度的增加而增加;胁迫组可溶性蛋白和游离脯氨酸含量整体上高于对照组;单一胁迫下POD(过氧化物酶)活性随胁迫浓度增加而增加;复合胁迫下低浓度提高POD活性,高浓度抑制POD活性;碱蓬叶片的平均转移系数(TF)大于茎部,且平均转移系数大于1.00;碱蓬叶片的富集系数(BCF)大于根部大于茎部。碱蓬对Cu和Ni均具有很高的耐受性,但对于Cu的耐性强于Ni;低浓度时Cu、Ni复合胁迫对碱蓬生长的促进作用强于Cu、Ni单一胁迫,高浓度时则相反;碱蓬具有较高的重金属富集和转移能力;在当前矿区土壤环境背景下,碱蓬可以作为矿区生态恢复和重金属污染修复的备选植物。  相似文献

A short period (15–30 min) at 30° C promotes germination of seeds of Lactuca sativa L. cv. Repolhuda in darkness. Far-red light reverses this stimulation, and the escape curves for phytochrome and high-temperature action are quite similar, indicating that the two factors act at a common point in the chain of events leading to germination. Summary The salt-tolerant cultivated tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) accession, PI174263, and a sensitive cv, UCT5, were crossed to develop reciprocal F1, F2 and BC1 populations for genetic analysis of salt tolerance in tomatoes during seed germination. Variation was partitioned into embryo, endosperm and maternal (testa and cytoplasmic) components. Generation means analysis indicated that there were no significant embryo (additive, dominance or epistatic) effects on germination performance under salt stress. Highly significant endosperm additive and testa dominance effects were detected. The proportion of the total variance explained by the model containing these two components was R2=98.2%. Variance component analysis indicated a large genetic variance with additive gene action as the predominant component. Furhter inspection indicated that this variance was attributable to endosperm additive effects on germinability under salt stress. Narrow-sense heritability was estimated as moderately high. Implications for breeding procedures are discussed.  相似文献

Improving salt tolerance of economically important plants is imperative to cope with the increasing soil salinity in many parts of the world. Mutation breeding has been widely used to improve plant performance under salinity stress. In this study, we have mutagenized Echinochloa crusgalli L. with sodium azide and three selected mutants (designated fows A) with salt tolerant germination. Their vegetative growth was compared to that of the wild type after short-term and long-term salt stress. The germination of the three fows A mutants in the presence of inhibitory concentrations of NaCl, KCL, and mannitol was better than that of the wild type. Early growth of the mutants in the presence of 200 mM NaCl was also better than that of the wild type perhaps due to improved K+ uptake and enhanced accumulation of sugars particularly sucrose at least in two mutants. But the three mutants and the wild type responded similarly to long-term salt stress. The tolerance mechanisms during short-term and long-term salt stress are discussed.  相似文献

One of the annual species of the genus Salicornia from the Mediterranean coast, Salicornia patula presents a seed dimorphism. This morphological seed dimorphism is linked with a physiological ‘dimorphism’ with regard to some requirements for germination. Central seeds, in the inflorescence, are larger, are dispersed attached to the perianth, have no light requirement for germination and seem to have a low germination response to salinity. The lateral seeds, which are free from perianth envelopes, require light and cold pretreatment and seem to have a high sensitivity to salinity. Salicornia patula colonizes unstable transition zones between permanently flooded muds and perennial vegetation. These zones have a winter flooding period. The beginning of the flooding period and of the dry period may vary from year to year, depending on the erratic distribution of autumn and winter rains on the Mediterranean coast. So, in some years, a seedling population may be destroyed before reaching the stage of seed production. Seed dimorphism might cause germination to the more distributed in time, thus reducing the chances of extinction of a complete generation. In the present paper salinity and temperature response are described more precisely, are investigated, some aspects of the longevity of the two types of seed, and the adaptative significance of the corresponding dispersal and germination syndromes are discussed in more detail.  相似文献

A relationship between the antioxidant defense system and salt tolerance in two types of sunflower calli differing in salt sensitivity was studied. No reduction in growth occurred in the NaCl-salt-adapted cell line (T) when grown on 175 mM NaCl but growth of the salt-stressed cell line (S) was reduced by 83%. Lipid peroxidation and protein oxidation increased during acute stress of salt stressed cells at 14 and 28 d of the experiment, while salt-adapted calli (T) remained similar to non-shocked (C) values. The antioxidant defense system of callus adapted to growth under NaCl responded differently to 175 mM of salt compared with the corresponding controls under shock treatment. Salt-adapted and salt-stressed calli showed a similar pattern in GSH content at day 14 but at day 28 in S calli, GSH content was increased 100% over the non-shocked calli, while T calli returned to the initial values. In the salt-stressed calli, a general decrease in all the antioxidant enzymes studied (except for glutathione reductase and dehydroascorbate reductase activities) was observed at day 28. Except for catalase, the antioxidant enzymes were elevated constitutively in adapted calli as compared to stressed cells, when both were grown in the absence of NaCl (time 0), and remained unaltered until 28 d after the beginning of the experiment. These results suggest the involvement of an enzymatic antioxidant defense system in the adaptive response to salt stress in Helianthus annuus L. cells.  相似文献
