The effects of low/high light intensities and day length on ear emergence time in climatic chambers were studied in 12 common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars of different ecogeographical origin. Low light intensity (LI) affected the time to ear emergence in all the wheat cultivars of both the photoperiod sensitive and insensitive genotypes, increasing the number of days to ear emergence (DEE). Based on the increase in DEE, we chose samples with different light intensity responses among the cultivars and analyzed their F2 hybrids to see if they were segregating. Taken together, the data for the F2 plants and test cross showed that the strong response to light intensity is a recessive trait and that the parental cultivars differ by the two genes controlling the LI response in common wheat. Besides heading time, low LI increased the number of days to tillering in all the cultivars except Pitic 62, but short day affected the period to tillering less than low LI. The symbol Rli (the response to light intensity) is suggested to designate the genetic control of the response to LI in wheat. Thus, the response to LI may influence the adaptability to changing environmental conditions and yield of wheat cultivars.  相似文献

Duration of the period up to heading of 107 winter wheat cultivars of different origin has been studied. The most contrast for analyzed character cultivars, as well as F2 Omskaya ozimaya/Numbu Komugi individual plants were investigated with SSR-PCR methods to reveal DNA-markers for QTL of heading temps. Two loci Xgwm512 and Xgwm429 have been revealed to explain 19.3% (part of influence of the first locus--8.9%, of the second 10.4%) differences induration of the period up to heading of the F2 individuals in field conditions.  相似文献

The duration of periods to heading has been investigated for 107 winter wheat cultivars of different origins. To reveal the DNA markers to QTL associated with the heading rate, the cultivars and individual plants of the F2 progeny from a cross between the Omskaya Ozimaya and Numbu Komugi cultivars, which contrasted most in respect of the analyzed trait, have been analyzed by SSR-PCR. Two revealed loci—Xgwm512 and Xgwm429—explain 19.3% (8.9% and 10.4%, respectively) of all differences in the duration of periods to heading, which were observed in individual F2 plants under field conditions.  相似文献

The comparative research of antipodal cell number and their karyometrical parameters in three two-rowed barley cultivars and their reciprocal F1 hybrids has been performed under different growing conditions. It was shown that the number of antipodes varied in different cultivars and depended on growing conditions. The essential level of antipodal complex functional activity is reached by definite combination of cell quantities and their dimensions. At greenhouse conditions the traits "number of antipodal cells" and "total volumes of nuclei and nucleoli" are inherited maternally.  相似文献

The effect of low light intensity (LI) on the period from sprouting to earing was studied in 12 cultivars of the spring common wheat under controlled conditions. Differences between cultivars with respect to their responses to LI (RLIs) were found both for those that were photoperiod-sensitive and those that were almost photoperiod-neutral. Specifically, a prolonged photoperiod and a low LI differently increased the period from sprouting to earling in different cultivars. Genetic analysis of the RLI demonstrated, for the first time, that the weak response was incompletely dominant in F1. The results of genetic analysis agree with the hypothesis that the cultivars Pitic 62 and Novosibirskaya 22 differ in alleles of two loci controlling the RLI in wheat.  相似文献

Fourteen cultivars of north temperate, Australian, Mexican and Rhodesian origins, were grown in eight treatments: 2-day-lengths (10 h and 14h) × two temperature regimes (18/13 °C and 25/20 °C) × two seed vernalization treatments (unvernalized and 28 days at 1–2 °C). Numbers of days to 50 % ear emergence, leaf numbers and spikelet numbers of the main shoots were recorded. The north temperate cultivars were the most sensitive to daylength: in long days their mean spikelet number was 15 and they headed in 40–50 days, while in short days they had a mean of 24 spikelets and failed to head in 100 days. The Rhodesian cultivars were the least sensitive, but nevertheless headed 20–30 days earlier and had three to five fewer spikelets per ear in long days. The effects of vernalization on the tropical cultivars were related to maturity class: they ranged from negligible in early cultivars such as Sonora 64 and Devuli to decreases of 20 days to heading and seven spikelets in late cultivars such as Mexico 120 and Cajeme 71 in long days. The effects of temperature varied with cultivar and with vernalization treatment. Early cultivars and vernalized late cultivars headed earlier and had fewer spikelets in the warmer regimes while unvernalized late cultivars tended to have more spikelets and headed later. It is suggested that some vernalization of these late cultivars took place in the cooler regime. The significance of the results for the understanding of the physiological basis of the adaptation of wheat cultivars to different climatic zones is discussed.  相似文献

The delayed response from frog retinal ganglion cells is preceded by a long silent period which has been shown to depend upon (i) intensity of the stimulus light flash, (ii) background illumination, and (iii) instantaneous level of adaptation. Also the duration of the delayed response and the total number of spikes elicited are functions of these three parameters. A linear relationship has been found between the silent period and both delayed response duration and total number of spikes. Double-flash experiments indicate that the ganglion cell output is strongly inhibited during the silent period. Experiments using an inhomogenous stimulus field have led to the conclusion that parts of the receptive field contribute independently to the delayed response.Supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.S. Comparing of vernalization requirement and photoperiodic sensitivity in various winter genotypes and F4 lines was carried out. The results of genetic analysis of Ppd genotypes in the crosses of winter wheat cultivars differing in photosensitivity and duration of vernalization requirement are described. It has been shown that differences in duration of vernalization requirement are under control of independent genetic system, distinctive from Ppd gene system regulating level of photosensitivity. This independence does not deny the opposite possibility of Ppd genes to modify duration of vernalization requirement in winter wheat.  相似文献

在引进抗虫陆地棉品种的基础上,对5个品种二年生及其一年生栽培的主要经济性状进行了比较研究。结果显示,二年生棉平均皮棉产量1510.56kg·hm-2,比其一年生棉平均增产14.57%;二年生棉的棉纤维品质性状与其一年生棉的基本一致,部分性状优于其一年生棉。在供试品种中,中928 F1和湘杂棉3号的二年生棉皮棉产量分别为1845.42kg·hm-2,1689.63kg·hm-2,棉纤维品质优良,产量构成因素匹配好,可在冬季无霜或轻霜地区进行二年生栽培并应用于生产。  相似文献

Four low-latitude cultivars (two Mexican and two Rhodesian) and a Canadian cultivar were grown in controlled environments in four photo-periods, 16, 13, 10 and 7 h, respectively. Plants of two of the low-latitude cultivars were also transferred between long and short photoperiods during ear differentiation. The intervals from sowing to successive stages of ear development up to the formation of the terminal spikelet, and to ear emergence, and the number of leaves, all increased as photoperiod decreased. The Canadian cultivar responded most and one of the Rhodesian cultivars least to changes of photoperiod in these respects. However, with all the low-latitude cultivars, the interval between formation of the terminal spikelet and emergence of the ear responded similarly and relatively little to decreasing photoperiod except when photoperiod was reduced from 10 to 7 h. The mean rate of spikelet production decreased as the duration of the period of spikelet production (DSP) increased, i.e. as ear development slowed down with decrease in photoperiod. Accordingly number of spikelets per ear increased curvilinearly as DSP increased, suggesting a maximal number of spikelets of about thirty. Rate of spikelet production apparently differed between cultivars. Development of the ear slowed down when plants were moved to a shorter photoperiod and accelerated when they were moved to a longer photoperiod, both at the time at which the shoot apex began to elongate and at the double ridge stage. Final number of spikelets per ear increased when ear development was slowed down and decreased when it was accelerated.  相似文献

根据1983—1985年“高原水稻高产栽培的生理生态规律研究”中低热的元江(海拔400米左右)、温凉的昆明(约1900米)和冷凉的丽江(约2400米)的资料,以六个处理、十八个小区、三年总平均值,比较了不同海拔地区种植的水稻中地上部干物质生产和分配的总趋势。主要结果如下: 1.全生育期总的干物质生产量以温凉地区最高,低热地区居中,冷凉地区最低。 2.抽穗前干物质生产速率和齐穗期干物重占黄熟期干物重的比例随海拔降低而增加;抽穗期至黄熟期干物质生产速率,以温凉地区最高,低热地区居中,冷凉地区最低,但低热地区低于前期,高海拔地区高于前期,不过冷凉的丽江增加的更多。 3.抽穗前(旗叶完全展开后)叶干重占当时植株总干重的比例,随海拔升高而降低。 4.抽穗期至黄熟期的次库(茎 叶鞘)干重的改变,不同海拔地区种植的水稻表现不同:低热地区减重,温凉地区稍增,冷凉地区明显增加。 5.与高海拔地区种植的水稻相比,在黄熟期低海拔地区的有较高的穗重/总重和穗增重/总增重的比例。另外低海拔地区的穗增重超过总增重。结实率和谷/草比例均随海拔增高而减低。  相似文献

改变小黑麦细胞质有可能增加减数分裂的稳定性,提高小黑麦的结实率与籽粒饱满度。作者以不同细胞质的“中国春”小麦与黑麦杂交,F_1幼苗用秋水仙素加倍获得双二倍体、或以八倍体小黑麦为父本与F_1杂交,获得异细胞质八倍体小黑麦(Triticale 8x)8个品系。实验结果表明:细胞质不同的“中国春”小麦与黑麦杂交结实率差异显著,出苗率亦不同,F_1株型多为两亲的中间型,花药不开裂,个别组合出现雄蕊雌化现象,有的组合表现生长弱性,减数分裂中期Ⅰ常出现1至数个末端交叉的棒状二价体,其数量在不同组合间差异显著,表明异细胞质对染色体配对有影响。D类细胞质对改进八倍体小黑麦的结实率可能有一定的作用。  相似文献

采用两个氮高效玉米杂交组合的P1、P2、F1、F2、B1、B2世代,随机区组试验设计,对氮高效玉米主要性状的遗传力进行了研究。研究结果表明,不同氮水平下氮高效玉米各性状的遗传力是不同的。低氮处理中,广义遗传力介于0.78~0.46之间,狭义遗传力介于0.68~0.23之间;高氮处理中,广义遗传力介于0.76~0.49之间,狭义遗传力介于0.67~0.25之间。低氮条件下,氮高效玉米主要性状中抽丝期穗位叶叶绿素含量、氮效率、穗重和穗位叶叶面积,高氮条件下,抽丝期生物量、穗重、抽丝期穗位叶叶绿素含量和成熟期生物量等性状的遗传力较高,可分别在低氮、高氮条件下,对其进行早代选择。  相似文献

It has been demonstrated that photoperiod plays the dominantrole in bringing about the reduction in leaf size and in thenumber of cells in the shortening days of autumn. Strawberryplants in various physiological conditions all respond similarlyby prolonging the period of cell division in expanding leavesin response to long-day treatment, and by curtailing the periodof cell division in short days. At the lowest temperatures withinthe normal range for active growth there is a reduction in leafsize and in cell size, and a less marked reduction in cell number.The effect of artificial illumination is shown to depend onthe duration of the daily light period, and not on the totaldaily dose of light Light intensity has no effect on leaf growthover the ranges used, either from fluorescent lamps or fromhigh pressure mercury vapour lamps. 在福建不同生态区对陕西咸阳大穗麦84(加)7931进行了3年引种研究。结果表明,该品种为春性,其幼穗分化发育进程及生育期与福建品种类似,可以正常抽穗成熟;矮秆大穗,株高80~88cm,穗长18~20cm,每穗22~23个小穗46~48粒,千粒重50~60g,小穗排列稀疏,顶部小穗较易退化,分蘖力较弱,单株成穗数少;较耐肥,在高肥条件下产量可达6000kg·hm-2,比对照增产20%左右;耐旱性和耐湿性较差,抗锈病,中抗白粉病,重感赤霉病;在福建沿海高产区可搭配种植,并可作为大穗亲本在育种上应用.  相似文献

A doubled haploid population constructed from a cross between the South Australian wheat cultivars ‘Trident’ and ‘Molineux’ was grown under winter field conditions, under field conditions over summer and under artificial light both with and without vernalisation. The duration from planting to ear-emergence was recorded and QTL associated with heading date were detected using a previously constructed genetic linkage map. Associations were shown with chromosomal regions syntenous to previously identified photoperiod (Ppd-B1) and vernalisation (Vrn-A1) sensitive loci. Additional QTL associated with time to heading were also identified on chromosomes 1A, 2A, 2B, 6D, 7A and 7B. Comparisons between the genetic associations observed under the different growing conditions allowed the majority of these loci to be classified as having either photoperiod-sensitive, vernalisation-sensitive or earliness per se actions. The identification of a photoperiod-sensitive QTL on chromosome 1A provides evidence for a wheat gene possibly homoeologous to Ppd-H2 previously identified on chromosome 1H of barley. The occurrence of a putative major gene for photoperiod sensitivity observed on chromosome 7A is presented. The combined additive effects at these loci accounted for more than half the phenotypic variance in the duration from planting to ear-emergence in this population. The possible role of these loci on the adaptation of wheat in Australia is discussed.  相似文献

【目的】明确苜蓿斑蚜Therioaphis trifolii对不同品种苜蓿Medicago sativa的取食行为,探明抗蚜因子和抗虫位点,筛选抗蚜苜蓿品种。【方法】利用刺吸电位技术(electrical penetration graph, EPG)记录苜蓿斑蚜成蚜在10个苜蓿品种上的取食行为,并基于聚类分析方法筛选合适的EPG参数进行抗蚜性评价。【结果】苜蓿斑蚜成蚜在取食苜蓿过程中呈现np波、pd波、A波、B波、C波、E波、F波和G波8种波形,其中E波、F波和G波的总时间在不同品种间表现出显著差异。在5 h测试期间,E波持续时间在敖汉上最长,金皇后和中苜3号上次之,草原2号和阿尔冈金上最短;F波总时间以准格尔、阿尔冈金和金皇后上最长,敖汉、德宝和草原2号上最短,说明前者具有较强的机械抗性而后者机械抗性较弱。以第1次刺探持续时间、总刺探时间、F波总时间、C波总时间、E波总时间作为聚类分析的指标,10个苜蓿品种被聚成3类:阿尔冈金、草原2号、WL168HQ、德宝、中苜2号和新牧2号为第Ⅰ类,金皇后、中苜3号和准格尔为第Ⅱ类,敖汉为第Ⅲ类。【结论】苜蓿斑蚜成蚜在不同苜蓿品种上的取食行为存在差异,草原2号、阿尔冈金和WL168HQ在叶表皮、叶肉和韧皮部层次对苜蓿斑蚜成蚜存在抗性,金皇后在叶表皮和叶肉部位表现出抗性;苜蓿斑蚜成蚜在敖汉上能够长时间刺吸取食,因此敖汉抗性最弱。本研究为深入探讨苜蓿抗虫机理和蚜虫综合治理提供了理论参考。  相似文献

The rice japonica cultivars Nipponbare and Koshihikari differ in heading date and response of heading to photoperiod (photoperiod sensitivity). Using simple sequence repeat (SSR) and single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers, we conducted quantitative trait locus (QTL) analyses for heading date in a set of reciprocal backcross inbred lines (BILs) from crosses between Nipponbare and Koshihikari. Under natural-day conditions, transgressive segregation in days to heading (DTH) toward both early and late heading was observed in both BIL populations. QTL analyses revealed that two QTLs-on chromosomes 3 and 6-were involved in the difference in heading date between the parental cultivars. The Nipponbare allele at the QTLs on chromosomes 3 and 6 showed, respectively, increasing and decreasing effects on DTH in both BIL populations. The transgressive segregation observed in the BILs could be accounted for mainly by the complementary action of a set of alleles with opposing effects. Both QTLs were finely mapped as single Mendelian factors in secondary mapping populations (BC(2)F(2) plants/BC(2)F(3) lines). The QTL on chromosome 3 was mapped in the 1,140-kb interval between 94O03-4 (SSR) and OJ21G19-4 (SNP) and was designated Hd16. The QTL on chromosome 6 was mapped in the 328-kb interval between P548D347 (SSR) and 0007O20 (SSR) and was designated Hd17. Both Hd16 and Hd17 were involved in photoperiod sensitivity, as revealed by observation of the DTH of nearly isogenic lines of Nipponbare under short- and long-day conditions, suggesting that allelic differences in both Hd16 and Hd17 account for most of the difference in photoperiod sensitivity between the parental cultivars.  相似文献

Background and Aims

Although the apical development of wheat has been widely described, studies analysing how genetic breeding over the 20th century influenced the developmental phases and its consequences on yield generation are lacking, especially for durum wheat under field conditions in Mediterranean environments. The aims of this study were to analyse the effects of breeding in Spain and Italy on crop development during the last century, to determine whether or not breeding significantly altered the developmental phases between sowing and maturity, and to evaluate the importance of each phase in determining the number of grains per spike of durum wheat (Triticum durum) cultivars representing the germplasm grown throughout the 20th century in Spain and Italy.

Methods

Eight field experiments were carried out during 4 years in two contrasting latitudes (Lleida and Granada, Spain). Plant material consisted of 24 durum wheat cultivars (12 Italian and 12 Spanish) grown throughout the 20th century in Spain and Italy.

Key Results

In Spanish materials, breeding reduced the duration of the period from sowing to anthesis, placing the grain-filling period in better conditions. In those cultivars, the sub-phase sowing–terminal spikelet formation was reduced while the duration of the period from booting to anthesis was increased. The number of grains per spike increased by 23 % from old to modern cultivars, by changes in the number of grains per spikelet in both Spanish and Italian cultivars. Floral abortion from booting to anthesis diminished by 24 % from old to modern cultivars, and grain setting increased by 13 %.

Conclusions

The results suggest that breeding reduced not only plant height, but also the time to anthesis. By extending the duration of the phase from booting to anthesis, which was associated with an increase in spike dry weight and grains per spike, it suggests that future increases in spike fertility could be achieved by enlarging that phase.  相似文献
