Two new glucosides and two known ester glucosides have been isolated from Geum japonicum. The two new glucosides were isolated by formation of their acetates and were identified as glucosides of 2-isopropyl-5-methylhydroquinone by chemical and spectral studies. The two known ester glucosides were identified as niga-ichigoside F1 and suavissimoside F1 by direct comparison with authentic samples. 2α,19α-Dihydroxyursolic acid and the known glycoside, gein, were also isolated from the same plant, in addition to a mixture of 2α-hydroxyursolic acid and 2α-hydroxyoleanolic acid.  相似文献

Iridoid glucosides from roots of Vietnamese Paederia scandens   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5  
Four iridoid glucosides, three of which are dimeric were isolated from the methanol extract of roots of Vietnamese Paederia scandens (Lour) Merrill together with the five known glucosides, paederoside, asperuloside, paederosidic acid, asperulosidic acid and geniposide. Seven sulfur-containing iridoid glucosides were also isolated. The structures of the iridoid glucosides were determined by a combination of high-resolution NMR, MS, IR and UV spectra, and chemical reaction such as acetylation.  相似文献

Satureja vulgaris was shown to contain two new iridoid glucosides, 5-deoxylamiol and 4-methylantirrhinoside, as well as the known iridoid glucosides lamiol and 5-deoxylamioside. The structures of the new glucosides were established by spectroscopic studies and chemical evidence.  相似文献

Two new lignan glucosides, compounds 2 and 3, two new 1H-indole-alkaloid glucosides, 5 and 6, as well as two new phenolic glucosides, 7 and 10, were isolated from the roots of Capparis tenera, together with five known compounds. Their structures were characterized by chemical and spectroscopic methods. Most of these isolates were obtained for the first time from Capparidaceae. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of the new compounds were investigated.  相似文献

Three quercetin glucosides were isolated from flower buds of Japanese butterbur (Petasites japonicus subsp. gigantea Kitam.) together with caffeic acid as the ingredients that had DPPH radical scavenging activity, using the DPPH-HPLC method for measuring the radical scavenging activity. These quercetin glucosides were identified as quercetin 3-O-beta-D-glucoside, quercetin 3-O-beta-D-6'-O-acetylglucoside, and rutin, and the amounts of the glucosides in flower buds were also examined by HPLC. The flower buds were harvested from four different sites, the total amount of quercetin glucosides in each site was 100-170 mg/100 g fr. wt., and there were no great differences of the amounts between growing fields.  相似文献

Several citrus limonoid glycosides have proved to be particularly difficult to purify using conventional techniques. A reversed-phase flash chromatographic technique has been developed for the separation and isolation of the closely related limonoid glucosides, nomilin 17-beta-D-glucopyranoside and nomilinic acid 17-beta-D-glucopyranoside, with confirmation of their identities by electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry. Furthermore, the semi-purification of the mixture of glucosides enriched with flavanone glucosides such as naringin, narirutin and other limonoid glucosides was obtained. The closely eluting glucosides were successfully separated to achieve a good yield and purity of 93%.  相似文献

Two iridoid glucosides namely; 6-acetylantirrinoside (1), 6'-O-p-hydroxybenzoylantirrinoside (2) were isolated from the aerial parts of Kickxia abhaica. Beside that, three known iridoid glucosides, antirrinoside (3), antirride (4) and mussaenosidic acid (5), one flavone glycoside (6) and a hexitol, d-mannitol (7) were isolated. The structures of the iridoid glucosides 1-2 were established by 1D and 2D NMR spectral data, including COSY, HMQC and HMBC experiments, as well as HRMS.  相似文献

From the leaves of Helicia cochinchinensis, collected on Okinawa Island, seven phenolic glucosides and two terpenic glucosides were isolated. Five of the phenolic glucosides were previously known, being identified with p-coumaric and ferulic acids glucosyl esters, rhodioloside, helicidiol, and naringenin 5-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside. The structures of two other phenolic glucosides, named heliciosides A and B, were elucidated to be 5-O-beta-D-glucosides of 3-hydroxyflavanone, namely aromadendrin and taxifolin, by means of spectroscopic analyses. Barley (Hordeum vulgare) seedlings contain five cyano glucosides derived from the amino acid L-leucine (Leu). The chemical structure and the relative abundance of the cyano glucosides were investigated by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance analyses using spring barley cultivars with high, medium, and low cyanide potential. The barley cultivars showed a 10-fold difference in their cyano glucoside content, but the relative content of the individual cyano glucosides remained constant. Epiheterodendrin, the only cyanogenic glucoside present, comprised 12% to 18% of the total content of cyano glucosides. It is proposed that the aglycones of all five cyano glucosides are formed by the initial action of a cytochrome P450 enzyme of the CYP79 family converting L-Leu into Z-3-methylbutanal oxime and subsequent action of a less specific CYP71E enzyme converting the oxime into 3-methylbutyro nitrile and mediating subsequent hydroxylations at the alpha-, as well as beta- and gamma-, carbon atoms. Presence of cyano glucosides in the barley seedlings was restricted to leaf tissue, with 99% confined to the epidermis cell layers of the leaf blade. Microsomal preparations from epidermal cells were not able to convert L-[(14)C]Leu into the biosynthetic intermediate, Z-3-methylbutanal-oxime. This was only achieved using microsomal preparations from other cell types in the basal leaf segment, demonstrating translocation of the cyano glucosides to the epidermal cell layers after biosynthesis. A beta-glucosidase able to degrade epiheterodendrin was detected exclusively in yet a third compartment, the endosperm of the germinating seed. Therefore, in barley, a putative function of cyano glucosides in plant defense is not linked to cyanide release.  相似文献

From Calendula officinalis leaves three cellular subtractions (mitochondrial, Golgi membranes and microsomal) were obtained and enzymatically characterized. The contents of Δ0, Δ5, Δ7, Δ5, 22 sterols, as well as those of 24-methylenecholesterol and clerosterol, in the free and bound in the form of esters, glucosides and acylated glucosides were determined in these fractions. The results revealed the predominance of free sterols in the microsomal fraction, of esters in the mitochondrial fraction and of steryl glucosides and acylated glucosides in the Golgi fraction.  相似文献

Plant-derived phase II metabolites of T-2 toxin (T2) and HT-2 toxin (HT2) were first described in 2011 and further characterized in the following years. Since then, some efforts have been made to understand their biosynthesis, occurrence, toxicity, toxicokinetics, and finally relevance for consumers. Thus, the probably most important question is whether and how these metabolites contribute to toxicity upon hydrolysis either during food processing or the gastrointestinal passage. To answer this question, firstly, knowledge on the correct stereochemistry of T2 and HT2 glucosides is important as this affects hydrolysis and chemical behavior. So far, contradictory results have been published concerning the number and anomericity of occurring glucosides. For this reason, we set up different strategies for the synthesis of mg-amounts of T2, HT2, and T2 triol glucosides in both α and ß configuration. All synthesized glucosides were fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy as well as mass spectrometry and used as references for the analysis of naturally contaminated food samples to validate or invalidate their natural occurrence. Generally, 3-O-glucosylation was observed with two anomers of HT2 glucoside being present in contaminated oats. In contrast, only one anomer of T2 glucoside was found. The second aspect of this study addresses the stability of the glucosides during thermal food processing. Oat flour was artificially contaminated with T2 and HT2 glucosides individually and extruded at varying initial moisture content and temperature. All four glucosides appear to be more stable during food extrusion than the parent compounds with the glucosidic bond not being hydrolyzed.  相似文献

A chloroform-methanol-extracted lipid of Helicobacter pylori was studied. Three kinds of glycolipids, accounting for about 25% (wt/wt) of the total lipid, were detected and identified to be cholesteryl glucosides. The structures of two of them were determined to be cholesteryl-alpha-D-glucopyranoside and cholesteryl-6-O-tetrade-canoyl-alpha-D-glucopyranoside, and the plausible structure of the third one was identified as cholesteryl-6-O-phosphatidyl-alpha-D-glucopyranoside. Cholesteryl glucosides are very rare in animals and bacteria. Furthermore, those in H. pylori had an alpha-glycosidic linkage, which is rather unusual for natural glycosides, and a phosphate-linked cholesteryl glycoside like the cholesteryl-6-O-phosphatidyl-alpha-D-glucopyranoside has not been reported previously. As the cholesterol glucosides were detected in strains obtained from diverse geographical locations, the presence of cholesteryl glucosides in H. pylori is a very unique and a characteristic feature of the species. These findings add a new facet to the physiology and biochemistry, especially the cholesterol and glucose metabolism, of H. pylori. Furthermore, the cholesteryl glucosides of H. pylori showed hemolytic activities.  相似文献

The growth and sweet diterpene glucosides of Stevia plants propagated by stem-tip cultures were compared with those of the control plants propagated by seeds. There was no significant difference between the two groups both in growth and in chemical composition. As for the contents of sweet diterpene glucosides, however, the clonal plants showed significantly smaller variations than the sexually propagated plants; they were almost as homogeneous as the plants propagated by cuttings. These results suggest that the clonal propagation by stem-tip culture is an effective method of obtaining a population of uniform plants for the production of sweet diterpene glucosides.  相似文献

Cyanogenic glucosides are phytoanticipins known to be present in more than 2500 plant species. They are regarded as having an important role in plant defense against herbivores due to bitter taste and release of toxic hydrogen cyanide upon tissue disruption, but recent investigations demonstrate additional roles as storage compounds of reduced nitrogen and sugar that may be mobilized when demanded for use in primary metabolism. Some specialized herbivores, especially insects, preferentially feed on cyanogenic plants. Such herbivores have acquired the ability to metabolize cyanogenic glucosides or to sequester them for use in their own defense against predators. A few species of arthropods (within diplopods, chilopods and insects) are able to de novo biosynthesize cyanogenic glucosides and some are able to sequester cyanogenic glucosides from their food plant as well. This applies to larvae of Zygaena (Zygaenidae). The ratio and content of cyanogenic glucosides is tightly regulated in Zygaena filipendulae, and these compounds play several important roles in addition to defense in the life cycle of Zygaena. The transfer of a nuptial gift of cyanogenic glucosides during mating of Zygaena has been demonstrated as well as the involvement of hydrogen cyanide in male attraction and nitrogen metabolism. As more plant and arthropod species are examined, it is likely that cyanogenic glucosides are found to be more widespread than formerly thought and that cyanogenic glucosides are intricately involved in many key processes in the life cycle of plants and arthropods.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of three toxic β‐glucosides, phlorizin, santonin, and amygdalin, on carbohydrate metabolism in the cotton bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner), when diets mixed with β‐glucosides were fed to third‐instar larvae. The growth of the larvae was significantly inhibited by exposure to santonin after 96 hr but not obviously affected by phlorizin and amygdalin. The midgut trehalase activities were only 51.7%, 32%, and 42.5% of that of the control after treatment with phlorizin, santonin and amygdalin at 2 mg/ml, respectively. In the hemolymph and fat body, the amount of trehalose decreased in all cases. However, the effects of santonin on the alteration of the glycogen and glucose levels as well as the activities of glycogen phosphorylase, were different than those of the other two β‐glucosides. It appears that the three β‐glucosides have different influences on the carbohydrate metabolism of cotton bollworm.  相似文献

Zygaena larvae sequester the cyanogenic glucosides linamarin and lotaustralin from their food plants (Fabaceae) as well as carry out de novo biosynthesis of these compounds. In this study, Zygaena filipendulae were reared on wild-type Lotus corniculatus and wild-type and transgenic L. japonicus plants with differing content and ratios of the cyanogenic glucosides linamarin and lotaustralin and of the cyanoalkenyl glucosides rhodiocyanoside A and D. LC-MS analyses, free choice feeding experiments and developmental studies were used to examine the effect of varying content and ratios of these secondary metabolites on the feeding preferences, growth and development of Z. filipendulae. Larvae reared on cyanogenic L. corniculatus developed faster compared to larvae reared on L. japonicus although free choice feeding trials demonstrated that the latter plant source was the preferred food plant. Larvae reared on acyanogenic L. corniculatus showed decelerated development. Analysis of different life stages and tissues demonstrate that Z. filipendulae strive to maintain certain threshold content and ratios of cyanogenic glucosides regardless of the composition of the food plants. Despite this, the ratios of cyanogenic glucosides in Z. filipendulae remain partly affected by the ratio of the food plant due to the high proportion of sequestering that takes place.  相似文献

The distribution of the glucosides of trans- and cis-2-hydroxy cinnamic acid and of the β-glucosidase which hydrolyzes the latter glucoside was examined in preparations of epidermal and mesophyll tissue obtained from leaves of sweet clover (Melilotus alba Desr.). The concentrations of glucosides in the two tissues were about equal when compared on the basis of fresh or dry weight. Inasmuch as the epidermal layers account for no more than 10% of the leaf volume, the mesophyll tissue contains 90% or more of the glucosides. Vacuoles isolated from mesophyll protoplasts contained all of the glucosides present initially in the protoplasts.  相似文献

The Arabidopsis sucrose transporter AtSUC2 is expressed in the companion cells of the phloem (specialized vascular tissue) and is essential for the long distance transport of carbohydrates within the plant. A variety of glucosides are known to inhibit sucrose uptake into yeast expressing AtSUC2; however, it remains unknown whether glucosides other than sucrose could serve as transported substrates. By expression of AtSUC2 in Xenopus oocytes and two-electrode voltage clamping, we have tested the ability of AtSUC2 to transport a range of physiological and synthetic glucosides. Sucrose induced inward currents with a K0.5 of 1.44 mM at pH 5 and a membrane potential of -137 mV. Of the 24 additional sugars tested, 8 glucosides induced large inward currents allowing kinetic analysis. These glucosides were maltose, arbutin (hydroquinone-beta-D-glucoside), salicin (2-(hydroxymethyl)phenyl-beta-D-glucoside), alpha-phenylglucoside, beta-phenylglucoside, alpha-paranitrophenylglucoside, beta-paranitrophenylglucoside, and paranitrophenyl-beta-thioglucoside. In addition, turanose and alpha-methylglucoside induced small but significant inward currents indicating that they were transported by At-SUC2. The results indicate that AtSUC2 is not highly selective for alpha-over beta-glucosides and may function in transporting glucosides besides sucrose into the phloem, and the results provide insight into the structural requirements for transport by AtSUC2.  相似文献
