Effects of enhanced ultraviolet-B radiation on plant nutrients and decomposition of spring wheat under field conditions 总被引:17,自引:0,他引:17
Spring wheat (Triticum aestivum) was grown in the field under ambient and supplemental levels of ultraviolet-B (UV-B, 280–315 nm) radiation to determine the potential for alteration in plant nutrients, decomposition, leaf quality and dry matter yield. Supplemental UV-B radiation simulating a 12, 20 and 25% stratospheric ozone depletion significantly decreased dry matter yield, but had no significant impact on harvest index. UV-B radiation resulted in an increase of the concentrations of N and K in all plant parts; changes of the concentrations of P, Mg, Fe and Zn varied in a tissue-dependent manner, as the decrease of P in leaves and stems, and its increase in spikes and grains. The mass of N, P, K, Mg, Fe and Zn in various plant parts and whole plant was generally decreased except leaf N mass was increased by enhanced UV-B radiation. Enhanced UV-B radiation decreased the concentrations of soluble carbohydrates in leaves and increased that of holocellulose and soluble proteins. After 60 and 100 days of decomposition of leaves and stems in the field, enhanced UV-B radiation stimulated the loss of organic C. As a consequence, the nutrient content of soils might be less diminished under enhanced UV-B radiation. 相似文献

运用RAPD (randomamplifiedpolymorphicDNA)技术对云南灯盏花 (Erigeronbrevis capus) 6个居群进行分析 ,研究其遗传变异及遗传结构 ,用外类群紫菀对比分析其亲缘关系。随机挑选 16个引物在 6个居群中共产生 2 33条DNA片段 ,其中 192条带具有遗传多态性 ,约占 82 4 0 %。多态位点百分比PPB、等位基因数A、有效等位基因数Ae、Nei’s基因多样性指数H和Shannon多样性指数I在物种水平分别为 82 4 0 %、 1 82 4 0、 1 30 0 5、0 1896、 0 30 2 1;居群的平均值分别为 5 4 2 3%、 1 5 40 1、 1 2 6 91、 0 16 0 7、 0 2 4 6 0。灯盏花的遗传多样性较丰富 ,基因分化系数Gst值为 0 346 0 ,有 6 5 4 0 %的变异来自居群内 ,6个居群的遗传一致度较高 ,在 0 90 37~ 0 972 3之间 ,平均为 0 94 10。利用UPGMA对 6居群聚类分析 ,结果表明 :丘北居群 (YB)和文山居群 (YX)亲缘关系最近 ,小哨居群 (Y )和新平居群 (YA)次之 ,丘北居群 (YB)和腾冲居群 (ZA)亲缘关系最远。遗传关系与各居群地理分布区间的距离大致成正相关 相似文献

Changes in growth characteristics and photochemical activities inVigna unguiculata L. Walp seedlings maintained at constant temperature of 10, 20, 30 and 40 ‡C under control and ultraviolet-B enhanced radiation
(UV-B) were investigated. UV-B retarded the shoot elongation and also leaf expansion to a great extent at 30 ‡C but produced
only marginal changes at 20 and 40 ‡C. Similar response was also observed with respect to changes in leaf fresh and dry masses
and total chlorophyll (Chl) content under these temperatures. At 10 ‡C the total Chl content was 3-fold higher under the treatment
than under control conditions. In seedlings growing at 20 and 30 ‡C the overall photosynthetic electron transport (H2O -> methyl viologen) showed a significant enhancement during the 36-h UV-B treatment and thereafter a gradual reduction.
Although a similar trend was found in photosystem 1 (PS1), the inhibition even after 60 h of UV-B treatment was not statistically
significant. Photosystem 2 (PS2) activity was inhibited in seedlings treated for 60 h by UV-B at 20 and 30 ‡C. However, no
inhibition was observed at 40 ‡C. No detectable photochemical activity was found in seedlings grown at 10 ‡C under either
control or UV-B enhanced irradiation although the chloroplasts contained Chl.

分别采用5 mW/mm2 He-Ne激光辐照、10.08 kJ/m2·d 增强UV-B辐射及二者组合对"临优2018"小麦幼苗进行处理,通过紫外吸收法测定各处理组幼苗中微管结合蛋白MAP65s的含量,并且采用SDS-聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳对MAP65s蛋白进行鉴定,进一步分析He-Ne激光对增强UV-B辐射引起的小麦幼苗微管骨架损伤的修复效应.结果显示:经UV-B处理(B)后,小麦幼苗中的MAP65s蛋白含量低于对照组(CK)(P<0.01);单独激光(L)处理,MAP65s蛋白含量高于对照组(CK)(P<0.05);经He-Ne激光和UV-B复合处理(BL)后,MAP65s蛋白含量高于UV-B处理组,低于CK组.该结果表明:一定剂量的He-Ne激光辐照能够促进小麦幼苗微管结合蛋白MAP65s的合成,并且可能在一定程度上修复增强UV-B辐射对小麦幼苗微管骨架系统造成的损伤. 相似文献

The change in optimal quantum efficiency (F v/F m) of the Arctic species Laminaria saccharina and Palmaria palmata was investigated in a long-term experiment in situ under different radiation levels during the summer of 1997 in the Kongsfjord (Ny-Ålesund, Spitsbergen, Norway, 78°55.5′N, 11°56.0′E). Whole plants were incubated in an open box system made of UV-transparent Perspex and exposed to solar radiation (λ>295?nm), solar radiation excluding UVB (λ?>?320?nm) and solar radiation excluding UVA?+ UVB (λ?>?400?nm). Increasing radiation levels were simulated by transplantation of the pre-adapted algae from their growth depth at 2?m to a water depth of 1?m. Sensitivity to artificially increased UV radiation was determined by exposure of algae from the three treatments to 6?h of strong UV radiation. P. palmata was relatively insensitive to increasing UV radiation and recovered very fast and almost completely in 2?h. Even plants pre-cultured in ambient radiation levels excluding UVA?+?UVB or UVB only showed no photoinhibition after exposure to extra UV radiation in the laboratory. L. saccharina was, in comparison to P. palmata, more sensitive and showed photoinhibition under solar radiation and solar minus UVB radiation after transplantation from 2 to 1?m water depth. However, after 3?weeks at 1?m depth, F v/F m of L. saccharina was equal in all treatments and restored to the original values at the start of the experiment. Sensitivity to extra UV radiation in the laboratory increased in time, although recovery was also fast and occurred within 20?h. 相似文献

On the basis of erythrocyte and serum protein polymorphisms, we investigated the level of genetic differentiation among 3 Argentinian native populations sharing ethnic and morphological characteristics but inhabiting different altitudes in the Andes. Of the 15 loci studied, 8 are monomorphic. Phenotype distribution of the polymorphic systems are in agreement with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, except for malic enzyme (MOD), where a silent allele was found. The 2 highland populations exhibit a close genetic similarity, probably as a result of intense gene flow. The lowland population shows reduced genetic diversity, which suggests the influence of stochastic phenomena such as the founder effect. 相似文献

以小麦(Triticum aestivum)幼苗叶片为材料,利用提取原生质体方法在小麦幼苗叶肉细胞中成功地装载了钙离子荧光指示剂fluo-3/AM,采用激光共聚焦显微技术检测了增强UV-B辐射后小麦幼苗叶肉细胞内游离钙离子荧光强度的分布,并对[Ca2+];进行了测定.结果显示,对照组细胞内钙离子荧光分布较均匀,主要分布于紧贴质膜处和核周围,UV-B辐射组钙离子荧光与对照组分布相似,但其原生质体表面不如对照组平滑;同时发现增强UV-B辐射组细胞内钙离子荧光强度值较对照组高,说明增强UV-B辐射组小麦幼苗叶肉细胞维持较高浓度的钙离子水平.这些变化表明Ca2+信号有可能以一定的方式参与了小麦响应UV-B辐射胁迫的过程. 相似文献

Intensified ultraviolet-B radiation or UV-B (wavelengths between 280 and 320 nm) can delay flowering and diminish lifetime flower production in a few plants. Here we studied the effects of enhanced UV-B on floral traits crucial to pollination and pollinator reproduction. We observed simultaneous flowering responses of a new crop plant, Limnanthes alba (Limnathaceae), and a wildflower, Phacelia campanularia (Hydrophyllaceae), to five lifetime UV-B dosages ranging between 2.74 and 15.93 kJ·m·d. Floral traits known to link plant pollination with bee host preference, host fidelity and larval development were measured. Intensified UV-B had no overall effect on nectar and pollen production of L. alba and P. campanularia flowers. A quadratic relationship between UV-B and nectar sugar production occurred in P. campanularia and showed that even subambient UV-B dosages can be deleterious for a floral trait. Other floral responses to UV-B were more dramatic and idiosyncratic. As UV-B dosage increased, L. alba plants were less likely to flower, but suffered no delays in flowering or reductions to lifetime flower production for those that did flower. Conversely, an equal proportion of P. campanularia plants flowered under all UV-B treatments, but these same plants experienced delayed onset to bloom and produced fewer flowers at greater UV-B intensities. Therefore, intensified UV-B elicits idiosyncratic responses in flowering phenology and flower production from these two annual plants. Diurnal patterns in nectar and pollen production strongly coincided with fluctuating humidity and only weakly with UV-B dosage. Overall, our results indicated that intensified UV-B can alter some flowering traits that impinge upon plant competition for pollinator services, as well as plant and pollinator reproductive success. 相似文献

在盆载条件下,研究UV-B辐射(280-320nm)增强对3个不同类型水稻品种(组合)的生长发育及其产量构成的影响。结果表明,UV-B辐射增强明显抑制水稻生长,使株高变矮、分蘖数减少、叶面积和干物质量下降,但其抑制程度依品种、水稻所处的生长阶段的不同而不同;株高在苗期下降幅度最大,为9.4%-12.2%,干物质量在分蘖期下降幅度最大,地下部和地上部干物质量分别下降45.3%-59.8%、54.9%-59.0%,增强的UV-B辐射使水稻主茎不同叶位的出叶时间延迟,生育期延长,汕优63、南川、IR65600-85的抽穗时间分别比对照延迟2d、3d和7d,成熟期分别推迟3d、4d和9d,UV-B辐射增强明显降低水稻叶片的叶绿素和类胡萝卜素含量,叶片叶绿素a荧光诱导动力学参数Fv、Fv/Fm、Fv/Fo下降,与对照相比,汕优6.3、南川、IR65600-85叶片的净光合速率分别下降了11.9%、12.8%、29.7%,UV-B辐射增强使水稻每株有效穗、每穗总粒数、结实率、千粒重下降,最终导致水稻籽粒产量下降25.2%-31.1%。 相似文献

We measured ingested energy (E(i)) and apparent digestibility efficiency (ADE) in two populations of Bufo bankorensis from different altitudes at three temperatures and during two seasons to test the hypothesis that the optimal temperature range (T(opt)) for E(i) and ADE has shifted to the lower range in highland toads and winter toads. The T(opt) for E(i) was 22 degrees C for the lowland and highland toads and did not vary between seasons, thus falsifying the hypothesis. ADE of the toads was 96%-99% at 15 degrees -30 degrees C, and there was no difference between populations or seasons. Furthermore, when fed with fast-moving prey, the toads from both altitudes had similarly low E(i) at 15 degrees C; when fed with slow-moving prey, the highland toads increased E(i) at 15 degrees C, but the lowland toads did not. These results suggest that the toads from different altitudes had different appetites, even though their feeding locomotion was hampered in both populations at low temperatures. 相似文献

1. The effects of ultraviolet-B (UVB-enhanced) radiation on the production of photosynthates (lipid, protein, polysaccharide and low molecular weight compounds) was examined for three species of algae. Cryptomonas sp., Nitzschia palea and Synechococcus elongatus were selected as representatives of the Cryptophyceae, Bacilliarophyceae and Cyanobacteria, respectively.
2. Laboratory experiments were performed at several UVBweighted dose rates ranging from 0.018 to 0.391 mW cm–2. These dose rates span the range of dose rates used in other studies.
3. Effects on the overall photosynthetic rate were observed, even at relatively low UVBweighted dose rates (0.047 mW cm–2 ).
4. The effect of UVB radiation on the fixation of carbon into the main macromolecular pools differed, depending not only on the dosage but on the species examined. However, the observed inhibitory effects were generally non-stochastic. In addition, within each species there were differences in the apparent sensitivity of the various fractions to inhibition by UVB radiation.

Mesembryanthemum crystallinum L. (Aizoaceae) is a drought‐ and salt‐tolerant halophyte that is able to endure harsh environmental conditions. Upon irradiation with high light irradiance (1200–1500 µmol m?2 s?1) it displays a rapid cell‐specific accumulation of plant secondary metabolites in the upper leaf epidermis; a phenomenon that is not detectable with salt or drought treatment. The accumulation of these compounds, the betacyanins and acylated flavonol glycosides, increases if the plants are exposed to polychromatic radiation with a progressively decreasing short‐wave cut‐off in the ultraviolet range. The response is localized in the epidermal bladder cells on the tips of young leaves and epidermal layers of fully expanded leaves. It is demonstrated that the accumulation of flavonols and betacyanins can be described by a weakly sigmoid dose function in combination with an exponential decrease of the response function of the plant with increasing wavelength. 相似文献

The combined effects of ultraviolet-B (UV-B, 280–320 nm) radiation and water stress were investigated on the water relations of greenhouse grown soybean [ Glycine max (L.) Merr. cv. Essex]. On a weighted (Caldwell 1971), total daily dose basis, plants received either 0 or 3 000 effective J m2 UV-BBE supplied by filtered FS-40 sunlamps. The latter dose simulated the solar UV-B radiation anticipated at College Park, Maryland, U.S.A. (39°N latitude) in the event that the global stratospheric ozone column is reduced by 25%. Plants were either well-watered or preconditioned by drought stress cycles. Diurnal measurements of water potential and stomatal conductance were made on the youngest fully expanded leaf. Various internal water relations parameters were determined for detached leaves. Plants were monitored before, during and after water stress. There were no significant differences in leaf water potential or stomatal conductance between treatments before plants were preconditioned to water stress. However, drought stress resulted in significantly lower midday and afternoon leaf water potentials and lower leaf conductances as compared to well-watered plants. UV-B radiation had no additional effect on leaf water potential; however, UV did result in lower leaf conductances in plants preconditioned to water stress. Turgid weight:dry weight ratio, elastic modulus, bound water and relative water content were unaffected by UV-B radiation. Osmotic potentials at full and zero turgor were significantly lower in the drought stressed treatments as compared to well-watered plants. 相似文献

研究了不同浓度铜处理下2种来源海洲香薷(矿区:湖北赤马山铜矿;正常土壤:湖北红安)膜脂过氧化水平和抗氧化能力的情况。结果表明,在相同浓度的铜处理下,非矿区种的丙二醛(MDA)含量明显高于矿区种,显示非矿区种体内膜脂过氧化水平较高,受到较严重的过氧化伤害;非矿区种体内抗坏血酸(AsA)和还原型谷胱甘肽(GSH)含量以及总抗氧化能力(T-AOC)均低于矿区种。矿区海洲香薷更能耐受铜胁迫,已经形成了抗性生态型,且小分子抗氧化物质在抗性水平提高上起重要作用。 相似文献

The effect of ultraviolet-B (UV-B) enhanced fluorescent radiation on protein profile and protein synthesis has been investigated in Vigna sinensis L. cv. Walp seedlings growing at various temperatures. In seedlings growing at 30°C, UV-B radiation decreased the level of several proteins as seen in Coomassie brilliant blue stained gel. However, fluorography of the same gel indicates induction of three sets of proteins in the range of 70. 53 and 16 k Da. Such induction under UV-B enhanced radiation resembled that found after heat shock treatments. In seedlings at 10 and 20°C, induction of such proteins varied both qualitatively and quantitatively. At 40°C. UV-B enhanced radiation caused a cumulative effect with temperature. Strong induction of specific proteins by UV-B radiation in seedlings growing under normal temperature indicates a possible protective role. 相似文献

Seventeen herb, shrub and tree species of commercial and ecological importance in southern Africa were exposed at one location to ultraviolet-B (UV-B, 280-315 nm) radiation approx. 35 % above clear-sky background (control). The aims were to assess how UV-B affects canopy area, dry mass, and some biochemical and morphological properties of leaves, and to investigate whether differences between species are related to growth form of the plants. There was no pattern of response to UV-B related to growth form. Leaves of trees had altered chlorophyll a and b, carotenoid and flavonoid concentrations, but those of shrubs or herbs did not. Non-structural carbohydrates were unaffected. Smaller canopy areas and dry masses were observed under enhanced UV-B, but these were not statistically different among growth forms. There was a general insensitivity of species to elevated UV-B. Only five species had significantly altered leaf biochemical and morphological properties, canopy area and dry mass, the changes differing in magnitude. There was no consistent pattern of change in leaf thickness or biochemical composition with increased UV-B. Correlation analyses did not support the view that growth is less negatively affected in species with thick leaves or in those where leaf thickness increases, or in species with naturally high leaf flavonoid contents or that are able to synthesize additional flavonoids in response to UV-B enhancement. The analyses did not support the hypothesis that growth was inhibited by starch accumulation in leaves under elevated UV-B. However, changes in leaf shape did correlate with canopy area and dry mass, showing the importance of photomorphogenetic changes caused by UV-B which affect species' performance. We conclude that generalizations on plant sensitivity to UV-B based on growth form and functional type could be misleading, and that the great majority of economically important species of the region are likely to be insensitive to future UV-B increases. Notable exceptions include the Colophospermum mopane tree ecotypes chota and leslie and the arable annual Vigna unguiculata, both of which are traditional sources of livelihood to rural African populations and of importance to African industry and agriculture. 相似文献

Field studies were conducted to determine the potential for alterations in ion leakage and the intraspecific variation in
ion leakage sensitivity of 20 wild sugarcane clones (Saccharum spontaneum L.) to enhanced ultraviolet-B (UV-B, 280–315nm) radiation in two consecutive years. The clones were collected from original
sites with different altitude (from 0 to 1650 m) and latitude (from 18–37 °N). The supplemental UV-B radiation was 5.00 kJ
m−2, simulating a depletion of 20 % stratospheric ozone. Across all clones tested in the present study, a significant change
(P<0.01 or 0.05) in ion leakage for 11 in tillering, 14 in elongation and 15 in flowering in 2003, and for 9 in tillering,
5 in elongation and 5 in floweing in 2004 were observed. In general, intraspecific responses of ion leakage of wild sugarcane
clones to enhanced UV-B radiation existed under field conditions for two consecutive years, although intraspecific difference
in 2003 was more obvious than that in 2004. Wild sugarcane clones originating from lower latitude or high elevation were not
