Sideritis congesta, an endemic plant to Turkey, is extensively consumed as energizing herbal tea and used as a remedy in folk medicine. This study was designed to comparatively evaluate the phytochemical composition and antioxidant potentials of different extracts (methanol, infusion) and fractions (chloroform, ethyl acetate, and remaining water) of S. congesta. Antioxidant potentials of the samples were evaluated by DPPH radical scavenging, FRAP, CUPRAC, and total antioxidant capacity tests. Total phenolic, phenolic acid, and flavonoid contents were also evaluated spectrophotometrically. Moreover, presence of twenty-two phenolic metabolites were affirmed by using LC-MS/MS in MRM scan mode and then the quantification of verbascoside, martynoside, and leucoseptoside A was performed by using HPTLC densitometry. EtOAc fraction contained the highest phenolic content and the antioxidant activity, as well as the highest verbascoside and martynoside contents followed by R-H2O fraction. Phytochemical studies on R-H2O fraction, yielded seven compounds, including a phenylethanoid glycoside, verbascoside (1), two flavonoids, stachyspinoside (2), isoscutellarein 7-O-(6‴-O-acetyl)-β-allopyranosyl-(1 → 2)-β-glucopyranoside (3), a phenolic acid chlorogenic acid (4), an iridoid glycoside ajugoside (5), and a monoterpenoid glucoside mixture betulalbuside A (6) and 1-hydroxylinaloyl 6-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (7). The molecular structures of the isolated compounds were determined by NMR and MS experiments. This is the first phytochemical study on the polar constituent of S. congesta and the first report of the isolation of compounds 2, 6 and 7 from the genus Sideritis L.  相似文献

Phytochemical investigation of the ethanolic extract from the leaves of Cinnamomum parthenoxylon (Jack) Meisn. led to the isolation of (3R, 4R, 3′R, 4′R)-6,6′-dimethoxy-3, 4, 3′, 4′-tetrahydro-2H, 2′H-[3, 3′]bichromenyl-4, 4′-diol (1), 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde (2), 1,2,4-trihydroxybenzene (3), kaempferol-3-O-α-l-rhamnoside (4), herbacetin (5), quercetin-3-O-α-l-rhamnoside (6), daucosterol (7), and β-sitosterol (8). The structures were established by extensive analysis of their MS and NMR spectroscopic data and comparison with literature data. In the present research, all of the isolated compounds 18 are reported for the first time in the species C. parthenoxylon. Compounds 16 were firstly isolated from genus Cinnamomum. Compounds 1, 3, 5 and 6 have not been reported from any species in Lauraceae family. The chemotaxonomic significance of the isolated compounds is discussed.  相似文献

Three new neolignan glucosides (13), together with four known analogs (47), have been isolated from the stems of Dendrobium aurantiacum var. denneanum. Structures of the new compounds including the absolute configurations were determined by spectroscopic and chemical methods as (−)-(8R,7′E)-4-hydroxy-3,3′,5,5′-tetramethoxy-8,4′-oxyneolign-7′-ene-9,9′-diol 4,9-bis-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (1), (−)-(8S,7′E)-4-hydroxy-3,3′,5,5′-tetramethoxy-8,4′-oxyneolign-7′-ene-9,9′-diol 4,9-bis-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (2), and (−)-(8R,7′E)-4-hydroxy-3,3′,5,5′,9′-pentamethoxy-8,4′-oxyneolign-7′-ene-9-ol 4,9-bis-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (3), respectively.  相似文献

Six new compounds including two oleanane-type triterpenoid saponins (1, 2) and four C-glycosyl flavones (36), along with a known saponin (7), three di-C-glycosyl flavones (810) and a glycosyl auronol (11), were isolated from the stem bark of Erythrina abyssinica Lam. The structures of the new compounds, identified as 3-O-[α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1  2)-β-d-galactopyranosyl-(1  2)-β-d-glucuronopyranosyl]-22-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl sophoradiol (1), 3-O-[α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1  2)-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1  2)-β-d-glucuronopyranosyl]-22-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl sophoradiol (2), 6-C-β-glucopyranosyl-8-C-β-quinovopyranosyl apigenin (3), 6-C-β-quinovopyranosyl-8-C-β-glucopyranosyl apigenin (4), 8-C-[6″-O-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1‴  6″)]-β-glucopyranosyl 7,4′-dihydroxyflavone (5) and 8-C-[6″-O-β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1‴  6″)]-β-glucopyranosyl 7,4′-dihydroxyflavone (6), were determined by comprehensive spectroscopic analysis, including 1D and 2D NMR techniques, mass spectrometry and acid hydrolysis. These new compounds together with the known saponins 7 were evaluated for their cytotoxic activity against MCF-7 (estrogen dependent) and MDA-MB-231 (estrogen independent) cell lines. The new saponin 2 exhibited the highest cytotoxic activity among tested compounds, exerting a selective inhibitory effect against the proliferation of MCF-7 cells, with lower IC50 value (12.90 μM) than that of the positive control, resveratrol (13.91 μM). Structure–activity relationship of these compounds is also discussed.  相似文献

A comprehensive phytochemical investigation of the stems and leaves of Schisandra chinensis (Turcz.) Baill. resulted in isolation of seventeen compounds, including five lignans: meso-dihydroguaiaretic acid (1), licarin-A (2), pregomisin (3), gomisin A (4), acutissimanide (5), three phenylpropanoids: 2-[4-(3-hydroxypropyl)-2-methoxyphenoxy]-propane-1,3-diol (6), 2-methoxy-4-(2-propenyl) phenyl β-D-glucopyranoside (7), erigeside 2 (8), six sesquiterpenoids: 7′-hydroxy-abscisic acid (9), burmannic acid (10), (3S,5R,6R,7E)-3,5,6-trihydroxy-7-megastigmen-9-one (11), 3-Cyclohexene-1,2-diol, 4-(3-hydroxybutyl)- 3, 5, 5-trimethyl- (12), (−)-loliolide (13), (3Z,5R,8R,11R)-Caryophyll-3-ene-5,8,15-triol (14), one monoterpenoid: (6R,3Z)-6,7-dihydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2-octenoic acid (15) and two other compounds: methyl shikimate (16), 4-Hydroxydodec-2-enedioic acid (17). Their chemical structures were confirmed through NMR, HRESIMS and comparison with the data in the literature. This is the first report of compounds 5, 6, 815, 17 from the family Schisandraceae and compounds 2, 16 from the genus Schisandra. Furthermore, we performed a chemotaxonomic study of the separated compounds.  相似文献

The phytochemical study of Piper pleiocarpum Chang ex Tseng led to the isolation of eighteen compounds (118), including ten lignanoids, galbelgin (1), (+) sesamin (2), denudatin A (3), hancinone (4), (7S,8S, 3′R)-Δ8'-3,3′,4-trimethoxy-3′,6′-dihydro-6′-oxo-7.0.4′,8.3′-lignan[(2S,3S,3aR)-2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-3,3a-dihydro-3a-methoxy-3-methyl-5-(2-propenyl)-6(2H))-benzofuranone] (5), (−)-(7R,8R)-machilin D (6), (1R,2R)-2-[2-methoxy-4-((E)-prop-1-enyl)phenoxy]-1-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)propyl acetate (7), piperbonin A (8), machilin D (9), 4-methoxymachilin D (10), one amide alkaloid, Δα,β-dihydropiperine (11), six polyoxygenated cyclohexenes, ent-curcuminol F (12), uvaribonol E (13), ellipeiopsol A (14), 1S,2R,3R,4S-1-ethoxy-2-[(benzoyloxy)methyl]cyclohex-5-ene-2,3,4-triol, 3-acetate (15), (+)-crotepoxide (16), (+)-senediol (17), and one benzoate derivative, 2-acetoxybenzyl benzoate (18). Their structures were established by spectroscopic data and by comparison with the literature. All the compounds were firstly isolated from P. pleiocarpum, while ten compounds 67, 910, 1215, 1718 were isolated from the genus Piper and the family Piperaceae for the first time. The chemotaxonomic significance of these compounds was also discussed. The isolation of compounds 67, 910 may be used as chemotaxonomic markers for the genus of Piper.  相似文献

Phytochemical investigation of the rhizomes of Smilax trinervula led to isolation and structure elucidation of eight lignan glycosides, including five new lignans, namely, (7S, 8R, 8′R)-4, 4′, 9-trihydroxy-3, 3′, 5, 5′-tetramethoxy-7, 9′-epoxylignan-7′-one 4′-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (1), (7S, 8R, 8′R)-4, 4′, 9-trihydroxy-3, 3′, 5, 5′-tetramethoxy-7, 9′-epoxylignan-7′-one 4-O-β-d- glucopyranoside (2) (7S, 8R)-4, 9, 9′-trihydroxy-3, 3′, 5-trimethoxy-4′, 7-epoxy-8, 5′-neolignan 9′-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (3), (7R, 8R)-4, 9, 9′-trihydroxy-3, 5-dimethoxy-7.O.4′, 8.O.3′- neolignan 9′-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (4), and (7S, 8R)-4, 9, 9′-trihydroxy-3, 3′, 5-trimethoxy-8, 4′-oxy-neolignan 4-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (5), along with three known compounds (6-8). Their structures were established mainly on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR spectral data, ESI–MS and comparison with the literature. Compounds 1-8 were tested in vitro for their cytotoxic activity against four human tumor cell lines (SH-SY5Y, SGC-7901, HCT-116, Lovo). Compounds 3 and 5 exhibited cytotoxic activity against Lovo cells, with IC50 value of 10.4 μM and 8.5 μM, respectively.  相似文献

A new coumarin, (?)-cis-(3′R,4′R)-4′-O-angeloylkhellactone-3′-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (1) and two new chalcones, 3′-[(2E)-5-carboxy-3-methyl-2-pentenyl]-4,2′,4′-trihydroxychalcone (4) and (±)-4,2′,4′-trihydroxy-3′-{2-hydroxy-2-[tetrahydro-2-methyl-5-(1-methylethenyl)-2-furanyl]ethyl}chalcone (5) were isolated from the aerial parts of Angelica keiskei (Umbelliferae), together with six known compounds: (R)-O-isobutyroyllomatin (2), 3′-O-methylvaginol (3), (?)-jejuchalcone F (6), isoliquiritigenin (7), davidigenin (8), and (±)-liquiritigenin (9). The structures of the new compounds were determined by interpretation of their spectroscopic data including 1D and 2D NMR data. All known compounds (2, 3, and 69) were isolated as constituents of A. keiskei for the first time. To identify novel hepatocyte proliferation inducer for liver regeneration, 19 were evaluated for their cell proliferative effects using a Hep3B human hepatoma cell line. All isolates exhibited cell proliferative effects compared to untreated control (DMSO). Cytoprotective effects against oxidative stress induced by glucose oxidase were also examined on Hep3B cells and mouse fibroblast NIH3T3 cells and all compounds showed significant dose-dependent protection against oxidative stress.  相似文献

The phytochemical investigation on Tanacetum sinaicum (Fresen.) Delile ex Bremer & Humphries led to the isolation of eight flavonoid aglycones (apigenin 1, acacetin 2, luteolin 3, chrysoeriol 4, cirsilineol 5, jaceidin 6, chrysosplenetin 7 and vitexicarpin; casticin 8), four flavonoid glycosides (apigenin 7-O-β-glucopyranoside 9, apigenin 7-O-β-glucuronide 10, luteolin 7-O-β-glucopyranoside 11 and luteolin 7-O-β-glucuronide 12) and three phenolics (4-hydroxy-3-methoxy benzoic acid 13, 3,4-dimethoxy benzoic acid 14 and 4-hydroxy acetophenone 15). Their structures were determined by chemical and spectroscopic analysis. Among them, compounds 1–3, 9, 11, 13 and 14 were reported for the first time from T. sinaicum. The present phytochemical investigations of Stauntonia brachyanthera Hand–Mazz resulted in the isolation of a triterpenoid glucoside (3-O-α-l-arabinopyranosyl-Akebonic acid, 1), four phenylpropanoids (staunoside C, cyclo-olivil-9-O-β-d-glucopyranoside, ficuscarpanoside B, ficuscarpanoside A, 25), three phenylethanoid glycosides (2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)ethyl-β-d-glucopyranoside, 1′-O-phenethyl-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 → 6)-β-d-glucopyranoside, calceolarioside B, 68), a phenolic glycoside (seguinoside K, 9) and a chlorogenic acid analogue (methyl chlorogenate, 10). Among them, compounds 1, 2 are isolated for the first time from this plant, compound 8 is firstly reported from genus Stauntonia and compounds 47, 9 and 10 are new for the family of Lardizabalacea. Sixteen known lignans were isolated from the 95% alcohol extract of the whole plant of Serissa japonica (Thunb.) Thunb., including nine furofurans (19), three tetrahydrofurans (1012) and four arylnaphthalenes (1316). In the present report, compounds (+)-epipinoresinol (1), (+)-1-hydroxy-6-epipinoresinol 4,4″-di-O-methyl ether (3), (−)-pinoresinol (4), (+)-8-hydroxypinoresinol (6), pseuderesinol (7), (+)-1-hydroxysyringaresinol (8), (−)-(7′S,8S,8′R)-4,4′-dihydroxy-3,3′,5,5′-tetramethoxy-7′,9-epoxylignan-9′-ol-7-one (10), wikstrone (11), 7'-(+)-oxomatairesinol (12), (+)-cycloolivil (13), (+)-isolariciresinol (14), 5-methoxy-(+)-isolariciresinol (15) and cyclolignans (16) were reported from the Serissa genus for the first time, and compounds (+)-lirioresinol A (2) and (−)-lirioresinol B (5) were firstly isolated from the plant. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic and chemical analyses. Moreover, the chemotaxonomic significance of the isolated compounds is discussed.  相似文献

The first phytochemical investigation on the vine stems of Millettia dorwardi Coll. et Hemsl led to the isolation of ten flavonoids (isoafrormosin 1, formononetin 2, afrormosin 3, padmakastein 4, liquiritigenin 5, 4H-1-Benzopyran-4-one,7-hydroxy-5,8-dimethoxy-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-isoflavone 6, 4H-1-Benzopyran-4-one,7-hydroxy-3-(3-hydroxy-5-methoxyphenyl)-6-methoxy 8, 4H-1-Benzopyran-4-one,6-methoxy-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-6,4′-dimethoxyisoflavone 9, irisolidone 10, prunetin 11), one heterocycle (5-5′-dibuthoxy-2-2′-bifuran 7) and one new isoflavone glycoside (4H-1-Benzopyran-4-one,5-hydroxymethyl-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-6-β-d-glucopyranoside-isoflavone 12). Their structures were determined by extensive analysis of their spectroscopic data. Among them, compounds 4, 610, 12 were for the first time isolated from this genus. Chemical investigation of an acidic methanol extract of the whole plants of Datura metel resulted in the isolation of two new guainane sesquiterpenes, 1β,5α,7β-guaiane-4β,10α,11-triol (1) and 1α,5α,7α-11-guaiene-2α,3β,4α,10α,13-pentaol (2), along with eight known compounds: pterodontriol B (3), disciferitriol (4), scopolamine (5), kaempferol 3-O-β-d-glucosyl(1  2)-β-d-galactoside 7-O-β-d-glucoside (6), kaempferol 3-O-β-glucopyranosyl(1  2)-β-glucopyranoside-7-O-α-rhamnopyranoside (7), pinoresinol 4′′-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (8), (7R,8S,7′S,8′R)-4,9,4′,7′-tetrahydroxy-3,3′-dimethoxy-7,9′-epoxy-lignan-4-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (9), and (7S,8R,7′S,8′S)-4,9,4′,7′-tetrahydroxy-3,3′-dimethoxy-7,9′-epoxylignan-4-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (10). Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods, including 1D and 2D NMR and MS spectra. Compounds 2-4 and 6-10 were shown to have modest anti-inflammatory effects through inhibition of NO production in LPS-stimulated BV cells.  相似文献

Seven new triterpenoids (17), together with two known ones (89), were isolated from the aerial parts ofIlex cornuta. The leaves of I. cornuta are the major source of “Kudingcha”, a popular herbal tea consumed in China and other countries. The structures of compounds 17 were determined as 20-epi-urs-12,18-dien-28-oic acid 3β-O-α-l-arabinopyranoside (1), 20-epi-urs-12,18-dien-28-oic acid 2′-O-acetyl-3β-O-α-l-arabinopyranoside (2), 20-epi-urs-12,18-dien-28-oic acid 3β-O-β-d-glucuronopyranoside-6-O-methyl ester (3), 3β,23-dihydroxy-20-epi-urs-12,18-dien-28-oic acid (4), 23-hydroxy-20-epi-urs-12,18-dien-28-oic acid 3β-O-α-l-arabinopyranoside (5), 23-hydroxy-20-epi-urs-12,18-dien-28-oic acid 3β-O-β-d-glucuronic acid (6), 23-hydroxy-20-epi-urs-12,18-dien-28-oic acid 3β-O-β-d-glucuronopyranoside-6-O-methyl ester (7), on the basis of spectroscopic analyses (IR, ESI–MS, HR-ESI–MS, 1D and 2D NMR) and chemical reactions. Protective effects against H2O2-induced H9c2 cardiomyocyte injury were tested in vitro for compounds 19, and the data showed that compound 4 had significant cell-protective effect. Compounds 1-9 did not show significant DPPH radical scavenging activity.  相似文献

Nineteen compounds were isolated from Ajania potaninii, including one sulfur paraffin (1), one monoterpene (6), one lactone (3), one aliphatic acid (15), two sterols (8 and 10), one triterpenes (13), one alkaloid (18), eleven flavonoids (2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16 and 17) and one cyclic amide (19). All of these compounds were obtained from A. potaninii for the first time. This is the first report of N-nonanemercaptan (1), 3-hydroxy-5-decanolide (3), cirsiliol (5), 1,2,4-trihydroxy-p-mentane (6), 6-methoxytricin (7), eriodictyol (11), pectolinarigenin (12), 3,3′-di-O-methylquercetin (14), tetradecanoic acid (15), lappaconitine (18) and 1,1′,1″,1‴,1‴'-tricontane lactam (19) from the genus Ajania. The occurrence of compounds 18 and 19 in A. potaninii warrants further study.  相似文献

Phytochemical investigation of the stems and leaves of Lonicera hypoglauca Miq. led to the isolation of one novel methoxylated flavone, acunminatin (7,2′,4′-trihydroxyl-5,5′- methoxyflavone) (1), and fourteen known compounds (215), including six flavonoids (mearnsetin 2, kaempferol 3, acacetin 4, 5,7,3′,4′-tetramethoxyflavone 5, tricin 6, and 5,7,3′,4′,5′-pentamethoxyflavone 7), two coumarins (umbelliferone 8 and scopoletin 9), two phenylpropanoids (trans-ferulic acid 10 and chlorogenic acid 11), two iridoid glycosides (loganin 12 and sweroside 13), and two triterpenoids (uvaol 14 and ursolic acid 15). The structures of the compounds were identified by spectroscopic analysis and by comparing their spectral data with those reported in the literature. Five of these compounds (1, 2, 4, 5, and 7) were isolated from the L. genus for the first time, and compounds 68 and 1415 were isolated for the first time from L. hypoglauca. The chemotaxonomic significance of the isolated compounds in the L. genus and the Caprifoliaceae family are discussed herein.  相似文献

Their structures were established by analysis of the spectroscopic data. The isolated compounds 19 were tested for activities against dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-IV), compound 7 showed significant antihyperglycemic activities by inhibitory effects on DPP-IV in human plasma in vitro, with IC50 value of 0.51 μM. Compounds 1024 were tested in vitro against NF-κB-luc 293 cell line induced by LPS. Compounds 12, 15, 16, 19, 21, and 23 exhibited moderate anti-inflammatory activities.  相似文献

A phytochemical investigation of the roots extract of Cichorium glandulosum led to the isolation and characterization of fourteen compounds, including five sesquiterpene lactones (15), five flavonoids (610), and four lignans (1114). Their structures were determined by spectroscopic data analysis and comparison with the literatures. This is the first report of the crystal data of lactucopicrin (1). This is the first time to report the isolation of 6,8,11-epi-desacetylmatricarin (2), desacetylmatricarin (3), ixerisoslde C (4), magnodelavin (5), 2ʹ,4-dihydroxy-4ʹ-methoxy-6ʹ-O-β-glucopyranoside dihydrochalcone (6), (−)-evofolin B (7), isoquercitrin (8), myricetin 7-methyl-ether-3-O-glucoside (9), (+)-medioresinol (12), 4-O-methylcedrusin [2-(3ʹ,4ʹ-dimethoxyphenyl)-3-hydroxymethyl-2,3-dihydro-7-hydroxybenzofuran-5-propan-1-ol] (13), and (2R,3S)-samwirin A (14) from C. glandulosum. Among them, compounds 5, 9, 13, and 14 were obtained from Asteraceae family for the first time. The chemotaxonomic significance of all the isolates 114 was discussed.  相似文献

One new β-hydroxychalcone, 4-acetoxy-5,2′,4′,6′,β-pentahydroxy-3-methoxychalcone (1), one new flavanone, 7,3′-dihydroxy-5,4′-dimethoxyflavanone (2) and seven known compounds, 2R, 3R-trans-aromadendrin (3), naringenin-7-O-methylether (4), myricetin (5), quercetin-3-O-rutinoside (6), ursolic acid (7), gallic acid (8) and d-glucose (9) were isolated from the methanolic fruit extract of Cornus mas L. (=Cornus mascula L.), Cornaceae. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic methods, including 2D NMR experiments and of known compounds by comparison of physical and spectral data with literature.  相似文献

Chemical investigation of the aerial parts of Oncocalyx glabratus resulted in the isolation of three new flavan derivatives, 5,3′,4′-trihydroxyflavan 7-O-gallate (1), 5,4′-dihydroxyflavan 7-3′-O-digallate (2) and 5,3′-dihydroxyflavan 7-4′-O-digallate (3), named oncoglabrinol A, B and C, respectively, together with four known flavonols, (+)-catechin (4), (+)-catechin-7-O-gallate (5), catechin-7-4′-O-digallate (6A) and catechin-7-3′-O-digallate (6B). The structures of the compounds were established by 1D, 2D NMR and ESI-HRMS spectral analyses. The biological activity of the compounds was tested through a series of in vitro assays designed for determining cytotoxicity, antiviral activity against hepatitis B virus, and antidiabetic activity. All compounds were found non-toxic and showed moderate anti-HBV activity. Compounds 3 and 6 showed dual PPAR agonistic activity while others were not effective.  相似文献
