This report describes synthesis, X-ray crystallographic characterization, and photoluminescence of copper(I) 2,6-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzoate, [Cu(O2C(2,6-CF3)2C6H3)] (1). Complex 1 has a polymeric structure comprised of axially bound dinuclear [Cu2(O2C(2,6-CF3)2C6H3)2] units that is reminiscent of the well-known structure of copper(I) acetate, [Cu2(O2CMe)2] (2). However, a close comparison of two analogues revealed a non-planarity of 1D chains and their orthogonal disposition in the crystal structure of 1 versus parallel alignment of planar chains in 2. Complex 1 exhibits green photoluminescence at ca. 560 nm upon UV-radiation (λex = 350 nm) in the solid state.  相似文献

Two complexes of the formula [MH3L](ClO4)2 [M = Cu(II) (1), Ni(II) (2)] have been prepared by the reaction of M(ClO4)2 · 6H2O with the ligand (H3L) formed by the Schiff base condensation of tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (tren) with three molar equivalents of 4-methyl-5-imidazolecarboxaldehyde and structurally and magnetically characterized. The structures of 1 and 2 are isomorphous with each other and with the iron(II) complex of H3L which has been reported previously. The ligand, while potentially heptadentate, forms six coordinate complexes with both metal centers forming three M-Nimine and three M-Nimidazole bonds. The tren central N atom is at a nonbonded distance from M of 3.261 Å for 1 and 3.329 Å for 2. The neutral complex CuHL 3 was prepared by reaction of H3L with Cu(OCH3)2 and the ionic complex Na[NiL] 4 was prepared by deprotonation of 2 with aqueous sodium hydroxide. Magnetic measurements of 1-3 are consistent with the spin-only values expected for S = 1/2 (d9, Cu(II)) and S = 1 (d8, Ni (II)) systems.  相似文献

Treatment of the ligands 3,5-tBu2-2-(OH)C6H2CHNR [R = 2-(CO2H)C6H4 (1a) and 2-(CO2H)C10H6 (1b)] with trimethylborate, B(OMe)3, in toluene yields, after work-up, the yellow crystalline complexes {[3,5-tBu2-2-(O)C6H2CHNR]B(OMe)} [R = 2-(CO2)C6H4 (2a) and 2-(CO2)C10H6 (2b)], respectively. Further treatment of these complexes with trifluoromethanesulfonic (triflic) acid, CF3SO3H, followed by recrystallisation from tetrahydrofuran (thf) afforded the triflate salts [{3,5-tBu2-2-(O)C6H2CHNR}B(thf)][CF3SO3] [R = 2-(CO2)C6H4 (3a) and 2-(CO2)C10H6 (3b)]. An electroluminescent device was constructed using 2a, which produced orange-green light with broad emission spectra (maximum brightness of 5 cd/m2 being observed at 13 V). Compounds 1a and 2b·2MeCN have been characterised by single crystal X-ray structure determinations.  相似文献

The nuclearity, bonding and H-bonded networks of copper(I) halide complexes with thiophene-2-carbaldehyde thiosemicarbazones {(C4H3S)HC2N3-N(H)-C1(S)N1HR} are influenced by R substituents at N1 atom. Thiophene-2-carbaldehyde-N1-methyl thiosemicarbazone (HttscMe) or thiophene-2-carbaldehyde-N1-ethyl thiosemicarbazone (HttscEt) have yielded halogen-bridged dinuclear complexes, [Cu2(μ-X)21-S-Htsc)2(Ph3P)2] (Htsc, X: HttscMe, I, 1; Br, 2; Cl, 3; HttscEt, I, 4; Br, 5; Cl, 6), while thiophene-2-carbaldehyde-N1-phenyl thiosemicarbazone (HttscPh) has yielded mononuclear complexes, [CuX(η1-S-HttscPh)2] (X, I, 7a; Br 8; Cl, 9) and a sulfur bridged dinuclear complex, [Cu2(μ-S-HttscPh)21-S-HttscPh)2I2] 7b co-existing with 7a in the same unit cell. These results are in contrast to S-bridged dimers [Cu2(μ-S-Httsc)21-Br)2(Ph3P)2] · 2H2O and [Cu2(μ-S-Httsc)21-Cl)2(Ph3P)2] · 2CH3CN obtained for R = H and X = Cl, Br (Httsc = thiophene-2-carbaldehyde thiosemicarbazone) as reported earlier. The intermolecular CHPh?π interaction in 1-3 (2.797 Å, 1; 3.264 Å, 2; 3.257 Å, 3) have formed linear polymers, whereas the CHPh?X and N3?HCH interactions in 4-6 (2.791, 2.69 Å, 5; 2.776, 2.745 Å, 6, respectively) have led to the formation of H-bonded 2D polymer. The PhN1H?π, interactions (2.547 Å, 8, 2.599 Å, 9) have formed H-bonded dimers only. The Cu?Cu separations are 3.221-3.404 Å (1-6).  相似文献

Schiff bases of 2-hydroxybenzophenone (HBP) (C6H5)(2-HOC6H4)CN(CH2)nEAr (L1/L2: E = S, Ar = Ph, n = 2/3; L3/L4: E = Se, Ar = Ph, n = 2/3; L5/L6: E = Te, Ar = 4-MeOC6H4, n = 2/3) and their complexes [PdCl(L-H)] (L = L1L6; 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11), [PtCl(L3-H/L5-H)] (4/8), [PtCl2(L4/L6)2] (6/12), [(p-cymene)RuCl(L5/L6)]Cl (9/13) and [HgBr2(L5/L6)2] (10/14) have been synthesized and characterized by proton, carbon-13, selenium-77 and tellurium-125 NMR, IR and mass spectra. Single crystal structures of L1, 1, 3, 4, 5 and 7 were solved. The Pd-E bond distances (Å): 2.2563(6) (E = S), 2.3575(6)−2.392(2) (E = Se); 2.5117(5)−2.5198(5) (E = Te) are near the lower end of the bond length range known for them. The Pt-Se bond length, 2.3470(8) Å, is also closer to the short values reported so far. The Heck and Suzuki reaction were carried out using complexes 1, 3, 5 and 7 as catalysts under aerobic condition. The percentage yields for trans product in Heck reaction were found upto 85%.  相似文献

A series of diorganotin (IV) complexes of the types of R2SnCl(SSCC3H3N2) (R = CH31, nBu 2, C6H53 and C6H5CH24), R2Sn(SSCC3H3N2)2 (R = CH35, nBu 6, C6H57 and C6H5CH28) and R2Sn(SSCC3H2N2) (R = CH39, nBu 10, C6H511 and C6H5CH212) have been obtained by reactions of 4(5)-imidazoledithiocarboxylic acid with diorganotin (IV) dichlorides in the presence of sodium ethoxide. All complexes are characterized by elemental, IR, 1H, 13C and 119Sn NMR spectra analyses. Also, the complexes 1, 7 and 9 are characterized by X-ray crystallography diffraction analyses, which reveal that the complex 1 is monomeric structure with five-coordinate tin (IV) atom, the complex 7 is monomeric structure with six-coordinate tin (IV) atom and the complex 9 is one-dimensional chain with five-coordinate tin (IV) atom.  相似文献

The interaction of diethyl 2-pyridylmethylphosphonate (2-pmpe) ligand with CuX2 salts unexpectedly leads to the formation of compounds of the formula Cu(2-pca)2 [X=Cl (1), CH3COO (3)], and Cu(2-pca)Cl [X=Cl (2)] (2-pca=pyridine-2-carboxylate ion). The diethyl 2-quinolylmethylphosphonate ligand (2-qmpe) reacts with CuX2 salts to similarly yield compounds of stoichiometry Cu(2-qca)2 · H2O (X=ClO4 − (4)], and for X=Cl Cu(2-qca)2 · H2O (5) and Cu(2-qca)Cl (6), (2-qca=quinoline-2-carboxylate ion). These compounds are products of a novel oxidative P-dealkylation reaction, which takes place on 2-pmpe and 2-qmpe ligands under the used conditions. The compounds were characterized by infrared, ligand field, EPR spectroscopy and magnetic studies. Cu(2-pca)2 exists in two crystalline forms, a blue form (1) and a violet form (3). For 3 the single-crystal structure was determined. The copper atom is four-coordinated in a square-planar geometry. The stack between related (and hence parallel) pca moieties involves interatomic distances of 3.27 Å. Cu(2-qca)2 · H2O also exists in two forms, a green (4) and a blue-green (5). Both these complexes are five coordinated, involve the same CuN2O3 chromophore and are examples of the distortion isomers. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements (1.9-300 K) have shown that the antiferromagnetic coupling observed is much stronger in 6 than in 1, 3, 4 and 5. For 2 a ferromagnetic exchange occurs.  相似文献

Herein, we describe the synthesis of N,N′,S donor ligands 2-(1-(3,5-diisopropyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-3-(methythio)propyl)-4-methoxy-3,5-dimethylpyridine (L1) and 2-(1-(3,5-diisopropyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-2-(methythio)ethyl)-4-methoxy-3,5-dimethylpyridine (L2). Cu(I) complexes were prepared by reacting L1 or L2 with [Cu(CH3CN)4]BF4 or CuCl. The coordination behavior of the thioether arm of the ligands was found to determine the nuclearity of the resulting complexes, in which [Cu(L1)PPh3]BF4 (1) is polynuclear, [Cu(L2)PPh3]BF4 (2) is mononuclear, while [Cu(L1)]2(BF4)2 (3), [Cu(L2)CH3CN]2(BF4)2 (4), and [Cu(L1)Cl]2 (5) are dinuclear. In the dimeric complex [Cu(L2)Cl]2 (6), the sulfur atoms are not metal-bound. Rather, the two bridging chloride ions link the two copper centers. Compounds 4-6 are luminescent in the solid state, and exhibit emission bands centered at 490 nm (4), 544 nm (5), and 562 nm (6), respectively. Their excitation spectra display bands at 280 nm and 380 nm. According to DFT calculations, the HOMO is distributed partially over the metal centers and partially over the chloride anions (5 and 6) or the sulfur atoms (4) of the ligands, while the LUMO is a π∗ antibonding pyridine orbital. This suggests that the emission properties are derived from metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (MLCT), halide-to-ligand charge-transfer (XLCT), and ligand-to-ligand charge-transfer (LLCT) excited states.  相似文献

Two novel bolaamphiphile based dicarboxylic ligands L1H2 and L2H2 are synthesized by desymmetrizing aromatic anhydrides. The corresponding Cu(II) complexes [Cu(L1) · EtOH]2 (1), [Cu(L2) · (CH3CN)]2 (2) are synthesized and characterized. The crystal structure obtained for (1) and (2) indicates that they are new class of tetralactone type macrocyclic Cu(II) chelate complexes with paddle wheel Cu2-acetate cage structure. The 1:1, Cu(II) and ligand ratio leads into formation of a novel binuclear Cu(II) tetracarboxylate complexes. The macrocyclic chelate ring size in compounds 1 and 2 was altered from [15] membered to [19] membered by introducing phthalyl and diphenyl head groups as discussed in detail. The single crystal X-ray structure shows the Cu(II)?Cu(II) distance 2.613(13) Å for 1 and 2.626(13) Å for 2, the corresponding room temperature EPR spectra recorded for powdered polycrystalline samples indicate the existence of Cu(II)?Cu(II) dimeric system.  相似文献

The reaction of Zn(κ2O,O′-OAc)2·2H2O with two equiv of 3,5-lutidine in methanol at room temperature for 12 h afforded [Zn(OAc)2(3,5-lutidine)2]· H2O (1) in 91% yield. The acetate exchange reaction of 1 with two equiv of aryl carboxylic acids in methanol at room temperature for 12 h afforded [Zn(μ2-κ1O:κ1O′-O2CAr)2(3,5-lutidine)]2 [Ar = C6H5 (2) and C6H4Me-3 (3)], [Zn(OC(O)C6H4Me-2)2(3,5-lutidine)2] (4) and [Zn(κ2O,O′−O2CC6H4Me-4)2(3,5-lutidine)2] (5) in ?90% yield. Complexes 1-5 were characterized by microanalytical, IR, solution (1H and 13C) and solid-state cross-polarization magic angle spinning 13C NMR and X-ray diffraction data. The zinc atom in 1 is surrounded by nitrogen atom of two 3,5-lutidine and oxygen atom of two monodentate acetate moiety and thus attains a tetrahedral geometry. One of the acetate moieties is hydrogen bonded with a water molecule in the crystal lattice. Complexes 2 and 3 possess a dinuclear paddlewheel framework with a square pyramidal geometry around the zinc atom whereas 4 and 5 are mononuclear species with the zinc atom in tetrahedral and an octahedral geometry, respectively. Thermogravimetric analyses of 2-5 suggested ZnO as the decomposed product followed by the confirmation from the powder X-ray diffraction patterns. Enormous gas evolution resulting in porous ZnO during thermal decomposition was evidenced from scanning electron microscopic images.  相似文献

Using the ligand 1,4,5-triazanaphthalene (abbreviated as tan) in combination with Cu(II) salts, three mononuclear compounds, Cu(tan)2Cl2 (1), Cu(tan)2Br2 (3), Cu(tan)2(NO3)2 (5) and three polynuclear compounds, [Cu(tan)Cl2]n (2), [Cu(tan)Br2]n (4), [Cu(tan)(NO3)2]n (6) have been synthesized and characterized by UV-Vis, EPR, FTIR and Far-FTIR spectroscopies. The crystal structures of compounds 1, 3, 5 and 6 are reported, as well as that of the dioxane adduct of compound 4, [Cu(tan)Br2(C4H8O2)](C4H8O2) (4A).The structure of (2) was solved by X-ray powder diffraction. The coordination geometry around the Cu(II) atoms is tetrahedral for (1) and (3), square-pyramidal for (4A) and distorted octahedral for (5) and (6). Magnetic susceptibility measurements on the polynuclear compounds revealed weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the Cu(II) atoms with interaction constants (J) of J = −9.1 and −10.5 cm−1, for 4 and 6, respectively. For compound 2 two options for possible interactions were considered, with interaction constants which vary for Jrung −22.0 to −13.5 cm−1 and Jrail −19.6 to −17.0 cm−1. These figures are discussed in the light of relevant structural parameters and literature.  相似文献

Four phenyl-substituted pyrazolylimine ligands 2-(C3HN2Me2-3,5)(C(Ph)N(4-R2C6H2(R1)2-2,6)) (L1: R1 = iPr, R2 = H; L2: R1 = H, R2 = NO2; L3: R1 = R2 = H; L4: R1 = H, R2 = OCH3) were synthesized. The influences of steric bulk and electronic effect of pyrazolylimine ligands on the structures of their corresponding nickel complexes were investigated. Ligands with more bulky and electron withdrawing substituents on N-phenyl ring produced four-coordinate nickel complexes (2-(C3HN2Me2-3,5))(C(Ph)(4-R2C6H2(R1)2-2,6)NiBr2 (1, R1 = iPr, R2 = H; 2, R1 = H, R2 = NO2)), whereas the ligands with less bulky and electron donating substituents on N-phenyl ring formed bis-pyrazolylimine dinickel tetrahalides (bis-2-(C3HN2Me2-3,5))(C(Ph)N(4-R2C6H2 (R1)2-2,6)Ni2Br4 (3, R1 = R2 = H; 4, R1 = H, R2 = OCH3)) and six-coordinate nickel dihalides (bis-2-(C3HN2Me2-3,5))(C(Ph)N(4-R2C6H2(R1)2-2,6) NiBr2 (5, R1 = R2 = H;6, R1 = H, R2 = OCH3)). The solid-state structures of complexes 1, 4 and 5 have been confirmed by X-ray single-crystal analyses. Activated by methylaluminoxane (MAO), complexes 1, 2, 5 and 6 showed moderate to high activity for ethylene oligomerization, and complex 5 revealed the highest activity up to 8.96 × 105 g oligomer/(mol Ni · h). The proportions of resultant oligomers were mainly C4-C8 and a little C10-C14 determined by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry.  相似文献

The First examples of (Te, N, S) type ligands, 2-CH3SC6H4CHNCH2CH2TeC6H4-4-OCH3 (L1) and 2- CH3SC6H4CHNHCH2CH2TeC6H4-4-OCH3 (L2), and their metal complexes, [PdCl(L1)]PF6 · CHCl3 · 0.5H2O (4), [PtCl(L1)]PF6 (5), [PdCl(L2)]ClO4.CHCl3 (6), [PtCl(L2)]ClO4 (7), and [Ru(p-cymene)(L2)](PF6)2 · CHCl3 (8), have been synthesized and characterized. The single crystal structures of 4, 6 and 8 have revealed that both the ligands coordinate in them in a tridentate (Te, N, S) mode. The geometry around Pd in both the complexes has been found to be square planar, whereas for Ru in a half sandwich complex 8, it is found to be octahedral. Between two molecules of 4 there are intra and inter molecular weak Te?Cl [3.334(3) and 3.500(3) Å, respectively] interactions along with weak intermolecular Pd?Te [3.621(2) Å] interactions. The Pd-Te bond lengths are between 2.517(6) and 2.541(25) Å and the Ru-Te bond length is 2.630(6) Å. The crystal structure of [PdCl2(4-MeO-C6H4- TeCH2CH2NH2)] (9) is also determined. It is formed when KPF6 is not added in the synthesis of 4 and Pd-complex of L1 is recrystallized. Apart from Te?Cl secondary interactions, C-H?π interactions also exist in the crystal of 9.  相似文献

A new series of biscyclometalated dinuclear rhodium (II) compounds with the general formula Rh2(O2CR)2(PC)2 · 2H2O, being PC = (C6H4)P(C6H5)2, R = CH3 (1 · 2H2O), PC = [(p-CH3 OC6H3)P(p-CH3 OC6H4)2], R = CF3 (2 · 2H2O), PC = (C6H4)P[CH(CH3)2]2, R = CH3 (3 · 2H2O) and PC = (C6H4)P(C6H5)2, R = C6F5 (4 · 2H2O) has been obtained. The crystal structures for these compounds have been determined by X-ray diffraction and the main structural trends, bond lengths, bond angles and torsion angles have been analyzed, and have also been compared with the structural parameters for different analogous complexes described previously in the literature.  相似文献

A series of mononuclear organotin(IV) complexes of the types, R3SnL {R = C4H9 (1), C6H11 (2), CH3 (3) and C6H5 (4)}, R2SnClL {R = C4H9 (5), C2H5 (7) and CH3 (9)} and R2SnL2 {R = C4H9 (6), C2H5 (8) and CH3 (10)}, have been synthesized, where L = 4-(4-methoxyphenyl)piperazine-1-carbodithioate. The ligand-salt and the complexes have been characterized by Raman, FT-IR and multinuclear NMR (1H, 13C and 119Sn) spectroscopy and elemental microanalysis (CHNS). The spectroscopic data substantiate coordination of the ligands to the organotin moieties. The structures of complexes 4 and 6 have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and illustrate the asymmetric bidentate bonding of the ligand. The packing diagrams indicate O···H and π···H intermolecular interactions in complex 4 and intermolecular S2C···H interactions in complex 6, resulting in layer structures for both complexes. A subsequent antimicrobial study indicates that the compounds are active biologically and may well be the basis for a new class of fungicides.  相似文献

A series of nickel(II) salen complexes containing 4-substituted alkoxy chains of aromatic rings, [Ni((4-CnH2n + 1O)2salen)] (n = 3 (1), 4 (2), 6 (3), 8 (4), 10 (5), 12 (6), 14 (7), 16 (8), 18 (9), and 20 (10)), and their parent complex, [Ni((4-HO)2salen)] (11) (salen = N,N′-ethylenebis(salicylideneiminato)), have been prepared and mesomorphic properties have been investigated. An X-ray crystallographic analysis revealed that complex 11 · 2DMF has one-dimensional stacking structure supported by the π-π interaction between the six-membered chelate and aromatic rings with the NiNi distances of alternatively 3.3957 and 3.7224 Å and that complex 3 is formed by one-dimensional stacking by weak CH?O type hydrogen bonded interaction between the five-membered chelate ring and phenoxo atoms of the dramatically distorted salen moieties with the NiNi distance of 5.994 Å. Complexes 1-6 did not exhibit any mesophases. On the other hand, complexes 7-10 with longer alkoxy chains of n = 14-20 showed an unusual metallomesogen of a lamello-columnar mesophase within the smectic layers with an interlamellar distance of 31.1 Å (7), 33.6 Å (8), 37.1 Å (9), and 39.5 Å (10) and nearly constant stacking distance of 6.19-6.24 Å between the inter-dimers, irrespective of the variation of the alkoxy chain lengths by the X-ray diffraction measurements of the liquid crystal. The relationship between molecular assemblies and mesomorphic properties is discussed.  相似文献

One monomeric neutral Cu(II) complex [(pmtpm)CuCl2] (1) is reported by Lindoy and Livingstone [8]. Two new complexes namely, μ-Cl bridged binuclear Cu(II) complex [{(pmtpm)Cu(Cl)}2 μ-Cl](ClO4) (2) and a bis μ-Cl bridged binuclear Cu(II) complex [{(pmtpm)Cu}2(μ-Cl)2](ClO4)2 (3) derived from a tridentate Schiff base ligand, 2-pyridyl-N-(2′-methylthiophenyl)methyleneimine (pmtpm) were synthesized and characterized by various spectroscopic methods and by X-ray crystallography. (N2S)CuCl2 chromophore(s) of distorted square pyramidal coordination geometries around Cu(II) ion(s) have been observed for all the complexes 1-3. The equatorial sites of the square plane comprise two N and a thioether S donor atoms of the pmtpm ligand as well as one Cl ion (terminal in 1 and 2, and bridging in 3) while the remaining axial site is occupied by a terminal Cl ion (for 1) or a bridging Cl ion (for 2 and 3). The equatorial Cu-Cl distances are much shorter [1: 2.2511(4) Å, 2: 2.2307(12) Å, 3: 2.2513(12) Å] than the axial Cu-Cl distances [1: 2.4394(4) Å, 2: 2.5597(9) Å, 3: 2.7037(12) Å]. The correlation of an axial Cu-Cl bond elongation with a lower g|| value in the solid state EPR spectrum and a blue shifted ligand field transition in the solid and solution phase absorption spectrum has been observed.  相似文献

The silver(I) salts [AgOR] (3a, R = C9H6N; 3b, R = C6H4-2-CHO, 3c, R = C6H4-2-Cl; 3d, R = C6H4-2-CN; 3e, R = C6H4-2-NO2) are accessible by the stoichiometric reaction of [AgNO3] (1) with HOR (2a, R = C9H6N; 2b, R = C6H4-2-CHO; 2c, R = C6H4-2-Cl; 2d, R = C6H4-2-CN; 2e, R = C6H4-2-NO2) in presence of NEt3. Based on TGA, temperature-programmed and in situ molecular beam mass spectrometry metal-organic 7e was applied as CVD precursor in the deposition of silver onto glass substrates. The resulting silver films were characterized by XRD. The SEM image of a film grown from 7e at 350 °C showed a homogeneous surface with grain sizes of 40 nm. The molecular structures of 8b and 10 in the solid state were determined. They are isostructural and are cubane-like structured. Low-temperature 31P{1H} NMR studies showed that the title complexes are dynamic in solution and exchange at room temperature their ligands.  相似文献

Compounds of general formula [(Bn2Cyclam)ZrCl2] (Bn = 4-tBuC6H4CH2, (4) and 4-CF3C6H4CH2, (5)) were synthesised using Zr(CH2SiMe3)2Cl2(Et2O)2 and the corresponding ligand precursors 1,8-(4-tbutylbenzyl)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane (H2(4-tBuBn)2Cyclam), (4a), and 1,8-(4-trifluoromethylbenzyl)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane (H2(4-CF3Bn)2Cyclam), (5a). Complexes 4 and 5, in addition to other [(Bn2Cyclam)ZrCl2] compounds previously described by some of us (Bn = PhCH2, (1), 3,5-Me2C6H3CH2, (2) and 3,5-tBu2C6H3CH2, (3)) were tested in the polymerization of ethylene in the presence of MAO. System 4/MAO presents the highest activity (2790 g PE molZr−1 h−1 atm−1). The polymers formed are slight to moderately branched polyethylenes with a percentage of branching ranging between 1.2% and 3.3%. The melting points obtained by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) ranging from 128 to 140 °C, are consistent with rather high average molecular weight polymers with crystallinity close to 50%.  相似文献

The preparation, crystal structure and variable temperature-magnetic investigation of three 2-(2′-pyridyl)imidazole-containing chromium(III) complexes of formula PPh4[Cr(pyim)(C2O4)2]·H2O (1), AsPh4[Cr(pyim)(C2O4)2]·H2O (2) and [Cr2(pyim)2(C2O4)2(OH2)2]·2pyim · 6H2O (3) [pyim = 2-(2′-pyridyl)imidazole, , and ] are reported herein. The isomorphous compounds are made up of discrete [Cr(pyim)(C2O4)2] anions, cations [X = P (1) and As (2)] and uncoordinated water molecules. The chromium environment in 1 and 2 is distorted octahedral with Cr-N and Cr-O bond distances varying in the ranges 2.040(3)-2.101(3) and 1.941(3)-1.959(3) Å, respectively. The angle subtended by the chromium(III) ion by the two didentate oxalate ligands cover the range 82.49(12)-82.95(12)°, values which are somewhat greater than those concerning the chelating pyim molecule [77.94(13) (1) and 78.50(13)° (2)]. Complex 3 contains discrete centrosymmetric [Cr2(pyim)2(C2O4)2(OH)2] neutral units where the two chromium(III) ions are joined by a di-μ-hydroxo bridge, the oxalate and pyim groups acting as peripheral didentate ligands. Uncoordinated water and pyim molecules are also present in 3 and they contribute to the stabilization of its structure by extensive hydrogen bonding and π-π type interactions. The values of the intramolecular chromium-chromium separation and angle at the hydroxo bridge in 3 are 2.9908(12) Å and 99.60(16)°, respectively. Magnetic susceptibility measurements of 1-3 in the temperature range 1.9-300 K show the occurrence of weak inter- (1 and 2) and intramolecular (3) antiferromagnetic couplings. The magnetic properties of 3 have been interpreted in terms of a temperature-dependent exchange integral, small changes of the angle at the hydroxo bridge upon cooling being most likely responsible for this peculiar magnetic behavior.  相似文献
