This study focused on understanding the termite traveling behavior. Artificial tunnels with different curvatures and base surface roughness were constructed. Each tunnel was 50 mm in length, with widths of W (W = 2, 3, or 4 mm). The distance between the two ends of the tunnel was D (D = 20, 30, 40, or 50 mm). A higher value of D means a lower curvature. The roughness, R (R = 60, 120, 240 and ∞), was generated by uniformly sanding the substrate with a sanding machine. A higher R value means a finer base surface. The symbol ∞ represents a smooth surface. Time (τ) taken by a termite to pass through the tunnel was measured. τ was longer in tunnels with a smooth surface compared with the tunnels with a rough surface. When W = 2, there was no effect of the roughness on speed. This is because the narrow tunnel width diluted the effects of the smoothness of the surface. When W = 3, τ was statistically shorter for R = 240, than for R = 60 and 120. This suggests that an appropriate surface roughness could positively contribute to the traveling speed.  相似文献

BackgroundEpidemiological studies on anthropometric features and cutaneous melanoma risk in women yielded inconsistent results, with few analyses involving prospective cohort data. Our objective was to explore several anthropometric characteristics in relation to the risk of melanoma in women.MethodsWe prospectively analysed data from E3N, a French cohort involving 98,995 women born in 1925–1950. Participants completed self-administered questionnaires sent biennially over 1990–2008. Relative risks (RRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were computed using Cox proportional hazards regression models, adjusted for age, number of naevi, freckling, skin and hair colour, skin sensitivity to sun exposure, residential sun exposure, and physical activity.ResultsHeight was positively associated with melanoma in age-adjusted models only (RR = 1.27, 95% CI = 1.05–1.55 for ≥164 cm vs. <160 cm; P for trend = 0.02). After full adjustment, there was a significantly positive relationship between sitting-to-standing height ratio and melanoma risk (RR = 1.40, 95% CI = 1.06–1.86 for ≥0.533 vs. <0.518; P for trend = 0.02). A large body shape at menarche was inversely associated with the risk of melanoma (RR = 0.78, 95% CI = 0.62–0.98; compared with lean). However, weight, body mass index, body surface area, waist or hip circumference, sitting height or leg length were not significantly associated with risk.ConclusionThese results suggest that height, sitting-to-standing height ratio and body shape at menarche may be associated with melanoma risk. Further research is required to confirm these relationships and better understand the underlying mechanisms.  相似文献

Tidal salt marshes in the San Francisco Estuary region display heterogeneous vegetation patterns that influence wetland function and provide adequate habitat for native or endangered wildlife. In addition to analyzing the extent of vegetation, monitoring the dynamics of vegetation pattern within restoring wetlands can offer valuable information about the restoration process. Pattern metrics, derived from classified remotely sensed imagery, have been used to measure composition and configuration of patches and landscapes, but they can be unpredictable across scales, and inconsistent across time. We sought to identify pattern metrics that are consistent across spatial scale and time – and thus robust measures of vegetation and habitat configuration – for a restored tidal marsh in the San Francisco Bay, CA, USA. We used high-resolution (20 cm) remotely sensed color infrared imagery to map vegetation pattern over 2 years, and performed a multi-scale analysis of derived vegetation pattern metrics. We looked at the influence on metrics of changes in grain size through resampling and changes in minimum mapping unit (MMU) through smoothing. We examined composition, complexity, connectivity and heterogeneity metrics, focusing on perennial pickleweed (Sarcocornia pacifica), a dominant marsh plant. At our site, pickleweed patches grew larger, more irregularly shaped, and closely spaced over time, while the overall landscape became more diverse. Of the two scale factors examined, grain size was more consistent than MMU in terms of identifying relative change in composition and configuration of wetland marsh vegetation over time. Most metrics exhibited unstable behavior with larger MMUs. With small MMUs, most metrics were consistent across grain sizes, from fine (e.g. 0.16 m2) to relatively large (e.g. 16 m2) pixel sizes. Scale relationships were more variable at the landcover class level than at the landscape level (across all classes). This information may be useful to applied restoration practitioners, and adds to our general understanding of vegetation change in a restoring marsh.  相似文献

Tetranychus urticae populations were collected from ten commercial apple orchards and their susceptibilities to 12 acaricides were tested using a leaf disc bioassay. The resistance of each T. urticae population was reported as the LC50 value, the resistance ratio (RR) and the slope of the probit–concentration regression. Cross resistances of T. urticae populations were estimated using the Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. Most local populations showed low resistance levels (RR  10). Development of resistance to METI and pyrethroid acaricides differed among local populations. The highest RR value (154.6) was found in the Uiseong population to tebufenpyrad. The Geochang population was highly resistant, especially to METI and pyrethroid acaricides. T. urticae populations collected from Suwon, Chungju, Yeongju and Geochang showed moderate resistance (10 < RR  40) to more than two acaricides. Resistance ratios to abamectin, chlorfenapyr, fenbutatin-oxide and milbemectin were low (RR  10) in all populations. The LC50 values of abamectin, chlorfenapyr, fenbutatin-oxide and milbemectin ranged from 0.06 to 0.2 mg/l, from 0.67 to 3.38 mg/l, from 10.12 to 40.85 mg/l and from 0.47 to 3.01 mg/l, respectively. We discuss possible cross-resistance to acaricides using Spearman's rank correlation coefficient.  相似文献

The partitioning of latent heat flux (QE) to vascular plant and moss surface components was assessed for a Sphagnum-dominated bog with a hummock–hollow surface having a sparse canopy of low shrubs. Results from porometry and eddy covariance measurements of QE showed evaporation from the moss surface ranged from greater than 50% of total QE early in the growing season to less than 20% after a dry period toward the end of the growing season. Both soil moisture and vapour pressure deficit (Da) affected this partitioning with drier moss and peat, lower water table, and smaller Da all reducing moss QE. Daily maximum moss QE ranged from greater than 200 W m−2 early in the growing season to less than 100 W m−2 during a dry period. In contrast, vascular contribution to total QE increased over the season from a daily maximum of about 150 W m−2 to 250 W m−2 due to increase in leaf area by leaf replacement and emergence and to drying of the moss surface. Porometry results showed average daily maximum conductance from bog shrubs was near 8 mm s−1. These conductance values were smaller than those reported for vascular plants from more nutrient-rich wetlands. The effect of increases in Da on vascular QE were moderated by decreases in stomatal conductance. At constant available energy, vascular leaf conductance was reduced by as much as 2 mm s−1 and moss surface conductance was enhanced by up to 3 mm s−1 by large Da. Considering vascular and non-vascular water transport characteristics and frequency of water table position and given the observed variations of QE partitioning with water table location and moss and peat water content, it is suggested that modelling efforts focus on how dry hummocks and wet hollows each contribute to QE, especially as related to Da and soil moisture dynamics.  相似文献

Background and aimsThe inflammatory process is related to oxidative stress and inflammation was proven to be a strong determinant of the aging process and to ultimately lead to death. The aim of the present study was to assess if, in a population of older adults, the effect of antioxidant genes GSTM1 and GSTT1 genotypes on mortality may differ depending on levels of inflammation.MethodsData are from 353 older persons aged ?80 years enrolled in the ilSIRENTE study. Study population was divided into two groups computed based on the median value of serum IL-6 (low IL-6, n = 177 and high IL-6, n = 176). All participants were followed up for 48 months.ResultsMean age of study participants was 85.8 years (Standard Deviation 4.8), 235 (66.6%) were women. Overall 48/177 participant (27.1%) in the low IL-6 group died during the study period, compared with 97/176 (55.1%) in the high IL-6 group (p < 0.001). After adjusting for potential confounders, GSTM1 wildtype had no effect on mortality in the low IL-6 group (RR = 1.07; 95% CI 0.46–2.47), but it was associated with a significant lower mortality rate in the high IL-6 level (RR = 0.33; 95% CI 0.15–0.69). Testing the interaction between IL-6 and GSTM1 genotype, we found a significant result (p = 0.02). No significant effect of GSTT1 genotype on mortality was shown in participants with low and high IL-6 level.ConclusionGSTM1 wildtype is associated with reduced mortality among older adults with high levels of inflammation, but not among those with low levels of inflammation.  相似文献

PurposeTo evaluate a formalism for transit dosimetry using a phantom study and prospectively evaluate the protocol on a patient population undergoing 3D conformal radiotherapy.MethodsAmorphous silicon EPIDs were calibrated for dose and used to acquire images of delivered fields. The measured EPID dose map was back-projected using the planning CT images to calculate dose at pre-specified points within the patient using commercially available software, EPIgray (DOSIsoft, France). This software compared computed back-projected dose with treatment planning system dose. A series of tests were performed on solid water phantoms (linearity, field size effects, off-axis effects). 37 patients were enrolled in the prospective study.ResultsThe EPID dose response was stable and linear with dose. For all tested field sizes the agreement was good between EPID-derived and treatment planning system dose in the central axis, with performance stability up to a measured depth of 18 cm (agreement within −0.5% at 10 cm depth on the central axis and within −1.4% at 2 cm off-axis). 126 transit images were analysed of 37 3D-conformal patients. Patient results demonstrated the potential of EPIgray with 91% of all delivered fields achieved the initial set tolerance level of ΔD of 0 ± 5-cGy or %ΔD of 0 ± 5%.ConclusionsThe in vivo dose verification method was simple to implement, with very few commissioning measurements needed. The system required no extra dose to the patient, and importantly was able to detect patient position errors that impacted on dose delivery in two of cases.  相似文献

Water consumption affects milk production of dairy cows. In a previous study, we found that dairy cows preferred to drink from larger than from smaller troughs and that intake was higher when water was offered in the larger, preferred troughs. In this study, we investigated some of the trough's characteristics that may underlie such preference. The volume of water consumed, time spent drinking and number of sips taken by cows (n = 18) were compared when water was offered in two troughs differing in surface area (1.13 m2 or 0.28 m2; experiment 1), height (30 cm or 60 cm; experiment 2) or depth (30 cm or 60 cm; experiment 3). In each experiment, each cow was tested individually for six consecutive days with the troughs randomly placed in each side. In experiment 1, cows took more sips (P < 0.01), spent more time drinking (P < 0.01) and drank more water (P < 0.01) from the trough with larger surface area. In experiment 2, cows took more sips from the higher than from the lower trough (P < 0.02) and showed a tendency to consume more water (P = 0.08) and to spend more time drinking (P = 0.08) from the higher than from the lower trough. Trough depth did not influence any of the variables recorded.  相似文献

Optimization of intravascular shear stress assessment in vivo   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The advent of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) sensors has enabled real-time wall shear stress (WSS) measurements with high spatial and temporal resolution in a 3-D bifurcation model. To optimize intravascular shear stress assessment, we evaluated the feasibility of catheter/coaxial wire-based MEMS sensors in the abdominal aorta of the New Zealand white (NZW) rabbits. Theoretical and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analyses were performed. Fluoroscope and angiogram provided the geometry of aorta, and the Doppler ultrasound system provided the pulsatile flow velocity for the boundary conditions. The physical parameters governing the shear stress assessment in NZW rabbits included (1) the position and distance from which the MEMS sensors were mounted to the terminal end of coaxial wire or the entrance length, (Le), (2) diameter ratios of aorta to the coaxial wire (Daorta /Dcoaxial wire=1.5–9.5), and (3) the range of Reynolds numbers (116–1550). At an aortic diameter of 2.4 mm and a maximum Reynolds number of 212 (a mean Reynolds number of 64.2), the time-averaged shear stress (τave) was computed to be 10.06 dyn cm?2 with a systolic peak at 33.18 dyn cm?2. In the presence of a coaxial wire (Daorta /Dcoaxial wire=6 and Le=1.18 cm), the τave value increased to 15.54 dyn cm?2 with a systolic peak at 51.25 dyn cm?2. Real-time intravascular shear stress assessment by the MEMS sensor revealed an τave value of 11.92 dyn cm?2 with a systolic peak at 47.04 dyn cm?2. The difference between CFD and experimental τave was 18.5%. These findings provided important insights into packaging the MEMS sensors to optimize in vivo shear stress assessment.  相似文献

The distribution and size fractions of chlorophyll a (Chl a) concentration in the eastern equatorial Pacific Ocean in boreal autumn were investigated during October and November, 2011. Environmental factors, including hydrology and nutrients, that might affect the distribution and size composition were analyzed. A total of 18 stations including 11 CTD stations and 7 navigation stations were selected which stretch from the northwest coast of South America to the area of the central Pacific Ocean south of the Hawaiian Islands (2.77°S–13.02°N, 84.11–154.02°W). The studied area can be divided into two transects: the 6°N transect (124–148°W) and the154°W transect (10–13°N). Results showed that the surface Chl a concentration was higher in the east near the northwest coast of South America (>0.200 mg/m3) and lower in the west (0.100–0.200 mg/m3), and it presented a highly significant negative correlation with sea surface temperature (p < 0.001). There were some differences between the sectional distribution of Chl a concentration between the 6°N and 154°W transects. The high values of Chl a concentration occurred near the surface along the 6°N transect (0–75 m), while they were relatively deeper along the 154°W transect (50–100 m). Iron might be the factor that limited the growth of phytoplankton in the eastern equatorial Pacific Ocean. Picophytoplankton (Pico) was the dominant taxa in the surveyed area, particularly in the waters along the two transects (>70% of total Chl a). The Pico to total Chl a ratio was higher in the upper layer (>70%) than in the deeper layer.  相似文献

Diatoms are widely used in the biological monitoring of streams because they are strong responders to environmental change, but dispersal and spatial factors can play important and potentially confounding roles in the presence, absence, and abundance of species along with characterizing species–environment relationships. To examine how spatial factors affect diatom community structure and biomonitoring, multiple scales were sampled including the Western Allegheny Plateau (n = 58), Leading Creek watershed (n = 18), and the adjacent Shade River watershed (n = 21) in southeast Ohio. Partitioning of spatial, environmental, and spatially-structured environmental variation was conducted on diatom assemblages and on diatom metrics used in biomonitoring. At the regional scale, diatom assemblages and metrics had strong relationships with agricultural (e.g., significant correlations with nutrients, conductivity, and pasture/row crops in the watershed) and alkalinity gradients. Diatom assemblages and metrics in both watersheds were strongly associated with acid mine drainage (AMD) impacts, and when spatial factors were set as covariables in CCAs, relationships with AMD gradients became even stronger, indicating the need to consider how spatial factors could reduce the strength of diatom-environment relationships. Metrics calculated at all scales had very little variation explained exclusively by spatial factors, likely because multiple species are combined into a simplified metric that reduces the effects of species dispersal. Local environmental variables accounted for 57, 42, and 42% of the total variation explained (TVE), and spatial variables accounted for 28, 31, and 37% of the TVE in the regional, Leading Creek, and Shade River datasets, respectively. The amounts of variation in diatom assemblages explained solely by spatial factors at these scales were substantial and similar to what has been reported at continental, national, and large regional (Level I Omernik ecoregions) scales (approximately 1/3 of TVE). Although amounts of variation explained are similar across scales, processes underlying the spatial structure likely differ. In addition to describing ecological patterns, recognizing the potential influence of spatial factors could improve the identification and management of environmental problems at a range of scales, as well as aid in the development of new research questions and hypotheses aimed at exploring factors that could explain portions of the spatially explicit variation.  相似文献

The conventional view of the environment – consisting of discrete patches that repeat themselves across the landscape – has seldom been tested. Across a wide spatial scope in southern Ontario, Canada, we investigated the spatial structure of physical and biological features of the environment: vegetation communities, moisture, pH, and organic content of soil at local scales (10–1250 m), and mammalian communities, mean annual temperature and precipitation at regional scales (10–650 km). Spatial structure was quantified using log–log regression of variance (V) with distance (D), according to the power formula, V = aDz. All these ecosystem components exhibited gradients. Slopes (z) of log–log regressions were positive (0.065 < z < 0.703) and were significantly steeper at the regional scale than the local scale. Variance appeared to increase without bound as distance between sampling locations increased. The results support the view of landscapes as continua and gradients. These patterns represent a challenge to the conventional view of how the natural environment is organised.  相似文献

Winter grazing of semi-domesticated reindeer (Rangifer t. tarandus) was investigated at the woodland lichen pasture (lichen approximately 550 kg DM ha−1) in Kaamanen, northern Finland during the winter 1996–1997. Nine female reindeer mainly dug their food in the snow for 122 days (3 December–4 April) in a fenced area of 36.3 ha. Over half of the fenced area was lichen dominated dry pine forest. The amount of lichens in lichen forest inside the fence was estimated before and after grazing. Area of grazed and condition of reindeer as well as snow conditions were monitored. Reindeer grazed over the whole area of lichen forest in early winter but from mid-winter they tended to graze on the areas with the greatest lichen abundancy. The amount of lichens measured decreased in the latter areas by 40% and in the other part of the lichen pasture by 17%, respectively. In both of these areas the residual amounts of lichens left after grazing were similar. Of the dominant lichens, the amount of C. stellaris decreased the most and the amount of Cl. uncialis the least. During the study, the estimated average daily area grazed varied from 4 to 87 m2 per reindeer. It was calculated that individual reindeer obtained 2.6 kg of lichen DM per day during the most intensive digging period when the body condition score and weight of reindeer increased. Otherwise, the body condition score and weight decreased. Reindeer finished foraging for ground lichens and started to search for arboreal lichens in mid-March when the snow layer was 70–80 cm thick and contained some hard snow layers which lifted reindeer. Both the amount of lichens in the pasture and the snow conditions essentially affect the nutritional status of reindeer in the woodland region during winter. Assuming that a reindeer is able to graze around 30 m2 per day in the snow during mid and late winter, there should be, on the basis of energy demand and grazing behaviour of reindeer as well as the nutritive value of lichen, an estimated 1000 kg lichen DM ha−1 available in a good condition woodland lichen pasture.  相似文献

The xanthophyll carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin constitute the major carotenoids of the macular pigment in the human retina where they are thought to act in part to prevent light induced oxidative damage associated with age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The highly selective uptake of these pigments is mediated by specific carotenoid-binding proteins (GSTP1 and StARD3) recently identified in our laboratory. Carotenoids are hydrophobic in nature, so we first systematically optimized carotenoid preparations that are nano-dispersed in aqueous buffers, and then we used a new-generation surface plasmon resonance (SPR) protocol called FastStep?, which is significantly faster than conventional SPR assays. We have explored carotenoid-binding interactions of five proteins: human serum albumin (HSA), β-lactoglobulin (LG), steroidogenic acute regulatory domain proteins (StARD1, StARD3) and glutathione S- transferase Pi isoform (GSTP1). HSA and LG showed relatively weak interaction with carotenoids (KD > 1 μM). GSTP1 evidenced high affinity and specificity towards zeaxanthin and meso-zeaxanthin with KD values 0.14 ± 0.02 μM and 0.17 ± 0.02 μM, respectively. StARD3 expressed a relative high specificity towards lutein with a KD value of 0.59 ± 0.03 μM, whereas StARD1 exhibited a relatively low selectivity and affinity (KD > 1 μM) towards the various carotenoids tested.  相似文献

Objective: To conduct a systematic review, with meta-analysis, of studies assessing the association between night work and the risk of breast cancer, using available epidemiological evidence. Method: Relevant studies were identified by searching several databases and the reference lists of retrieved articles. We combined the relative risks (RR) from individual studies using a random-effects model. Subgroup analysis was carried out as the data showed statistically significant heterogeneity. Results: Thirteen studies consisting of eight case–control studies and five cohort studies were included in the analysis. In the combined analysis of all studies, night work was associated with an increased risk for breast cancer (RR = 1.20, 95%CI = 1.08–1.33). The higher-quality studies showed a similar finding with a pooled RR of 1.40 (95%CI = 1.13–1.73). Both case–control studies (RR = 1.32, 95%CI = 1.17–1.50) and cohort studies (RR = 1.08, 95%CI = 0.97–1.21) showed a positive association between night work and the risk of breast cancer. No publication bias was found either from Begg's funnel plot (P = 0.086) or the Egger's test (P = 0.107). Additional well-conducted and large-scale epidemiological studies are needed.  相似文献

This study investigates Pb isotope ratios at low concentrations (parts per billion; ppb) in tree rings and soils in the Northern Athabasca Oil Sands Region (NAOSR), western Canada, to evaluate if: (1) climatic conditions influence on tree-ring Pb assimilation; and (2) such low Pb content allows inferring the regional Pb depositional history.Our results reflect the influence of winter snow cover and the importance of minimum temperature and precipitation in spring and summer on the bioavailability of Pb and its passive assimilation by trees in sub-arctic semi-humid climatic conditions. Winter conditions can influence the state of root systems that subsequently impacts the following growth period, while spring and summer conditions likely control microbial processes and water source, and may thus impact Pb assimilation by trees. Thus, the results of tree-ring Pb concentrations show interesting correlation with cumulated snow from November of the previous year to February (ρ = 0.53; P < 0.01; n = 36). Likewise, the 206Pb/207Pb ratios inversely correlate with minimum temperature from April to September (ρ = −0.67; P < 0.01; n = 40) and precipitation from May to August (ρ = −0.42; P < 0.01; n = 36). The isotopic results also suggest that the effects of climatic variations are superimposed by regional industrial Pb deposition: Western North American Aerosols (WNAA) and fugitive dust from the oil sands mining operations appear to be the most likely sources.Importantly, this study suggests that even at low Pb concentrations, tree-ring Pb isotopes are modulated by climatic conditions and potential input of regional and long-range transport of airborne Pb. These interpretations open the possibility of using Pb isotopes as an environmental tool for inferring the pollution history in remote regions, and improving our understanding of its natural cycle through the forest environment.  相似文献

Aquatic hyphomycetes are primary colonizers and decomposers of deciduous leaves decaying in streams. Conidial attachment to new substrata is a crucial first step in their life cycle, and the dominant spore morphologies – multiradiate or sigmoid – are assumed to have been shaped by convergent evolution to increase the probability of attachment to a substratum. Another factor influencing attachment success is roughness of the leaf's surface. In SEM preparations, we estimated the three roughness parameters Ra, Rz and Rq of upper and lower surfaces of linden (Tilia cordata), maple (Acer rubrum) and elm (Ulmus americana) leaves. Generally, roughness values were highest with linden and lowest with maple leaves, but the greatest roughness was measured on the lower surface of elm. In 48 h, target leaf disks captured approx. 20 % of the conidia released from stream-exposed inoculum disks in microcosms. Capture rates of the six surfaces correlated significantly with all three roughness parameters. Estimated R2 was around 0.4, indicating surface factors other than roughness influenced conidial attachment. The sigmoid conidia of Anguillospora filiformis were captured at a greater rate than the tetraradiate conidia of Articulospora tetracladia and Clavariopsis aquatica.  相似文献

Tarsal claws, which are common attachment devices in arthropods, interlock with the surface irregularities of the substrata. Most insects have two tarsal claws, but the larvae of some aquatic insects, such as Ephemeroptera and Trichoptera, bear only one claw on their tarsi. The range of surface roughness that is sufficient for the function of the single claws of aquatic invertebrates has not yet been investigated. In the present study, we investigated the surface texture required for the function of the claws of larvae of the mayfly, Epeorus assimilis. We conducted attachment experiments using replications with defined surface roughness, white light profilometry, videotaping and scanning electron microscopy. The results demonstrate that the choice of an appropriate roughness order is very important. A setting resulting in a cut-off length of approximately thirty times the diameter of the claw tip proved most appropriate for describing the roughness order that is relevant for the functioning of the claws of E. assimilis larvae. Common technical roughness parameters such as Ra, Rq or Rz supplied sufficient differentiation between the tested substrata. E. assimilis larvae require a minimum surface roughness (Ra  6.0 μm) for their claws to grip. At lesser surface roughness, the larvae left the substratum. This was surprising because E. assimilis larvae have been observed to attach even to smooth surfaces. Based on the use of sterile substrata in this experiment, we assume that coverage with biofilm considerably influences the attachment of the larvae.  相似文献

This work is focused on the inulinase production by solid-state fermentation (SSF) in a fixed-bed reactor (34 cm diameter and 50 cm height) with working capacity of 2-kg of dry substrate operated in batch and fed-batch modes. It was investigated different strategies for feeding the inlet air in the bioreactor (saturated and unsaturated air) as alternative to remove the metabolic heat generated during the microbial growth by evaporative cooling. The kinetic evaluation of the process carried out in batch mode using unsaturated air showed that the evaporative cooling decreasing the mean temperature of the solid-bed, although the enzyme production was lower than that obtained using saturated air. Results showed that maximum enzyme activity (586 ± 63 U gds−1) was obtained in the fed-batch mode using saturated air after 24 h of fermentation. The enzymatic extract obtained by fed-batch mode was characterized and presented optimum temperature and pH in the range of 52–57 °C and 4.8–5.2, respectively. For a temperature range from 40 to 70 °C the enzyme presented decimal reduction time, D-value, ranging from 5748 to 47 h, respectively. For a pH range from 3.5 to 5.5 the enzyme showed good stability, presenting D-values higher than 2622 h. In terms of Michaelis–Mentem parameters were demonstrated that the crude inulinase activity presented higher affinity for substrate sucrose compared to inulin.  相似文献
