厦门凤林红树林湿地大型底栖动物群落   总被引:8,自引:0,他引:8  
为摸清厦门集美凤林红树林湿地的大型底栖动物群落结构及其多样性现状,2002年1、4、7和10月在厦门集美凤林红树林区进行大型底栖动物调查,4个季度共获得大型底栖动物42种。生物量优势种是软体动物门的珠带拟蟹守螺(Cerithideacingulata)和节肢动物门的弧边招潮(Ucaarcuata)。密度优势种是软体动物门的短拟沼螺(Assimineabrevicula)和环节动物门的沼蚓(Limnodriloidessp.)。集美凤林红树林区大型底栖动物年平均密度和年平均生物量分别为1,990ind./m2和139.0g/m2。密度的季节变化是:1月>4月>10月>7月,生物量的季节变化是1月>10月>4月>7月。聚类分析和数量分布表明,优势种珠带拟蟹守螺、短拟沼螺、弧边招潮和沼蚓的季节变化各不相同。与2002年10月深圳湾福田红树林区大型底栖动物群落的物种多样性指数平均值(0.56)比较,厦门凤林红树林区的平均值较高(2.66)。文中分析了影响大型底栖动物多样性的环境因素。  相似文献

Clarification of the role of the physical structure of mangrove for benthic faunal communities was sought by investigating the impacts of canopy shade and root structure on (1) the physical environment, including temperature, moisture and grain size of the substrate sediment, (2) benthic faunal distribution, and (3) food resource availability, using a field manipulated experiment at an intertidal mangrove forest around Sikao Creek, Trang Province, Thailand. Five treatments were established, including artificial shade cover, root simulated structure, mix (shade and structure) and control of the canopy gap (which had no mangrove vegetation), in addition to forest control under the mangrove canopy. Following 18 months of observation, species' richness and abundance of epifauna were found to have increased in shaded treatments, which had low temperature and high moisture substrate. Food resource conditions had also altered from abundant microphytobenthos (relatively high nutritional values) to enriched mangrove detritus due to shading. These results indicated that the physical structure of mangrove vegetation facilitates the habitation of intertidal epifauna, canopy shade having an important function in providing cooler wetter surface substrate, despite also inducing a reduction of favorable food resources (i.e. microphytobenthos).  相似文献

The Western Trough of the Lough Hyne Marine Reserve in southern Ireland features annual episodes of profound hypoxia beneath an oxy-thermocline that develops each summer. Previous work had indicated that the hypoxia caused mass mortality of the sessile benthic fauna, but information about the winter fauna, or about mobile species was lacking. Here we report on a combined remote-operated vehicle, SCUBA and baited trap study, backed by regular oxygen-temperature-depth monitoring of the Trough. Our results show that there is community of resident benthic and mobile species during the oxic winter months that disappears in the summer. Mobile fish and crustaceans avoid the hypoxic areas of the Trough, though the prawn Palaemon serratus will venture into the hypoxic zone to scavenge on baits. At the oxy-thermocline itself, burrows of benthic fauna remain evident in summer, but their inhabitants show much reduced activity or death. Regular hypoxic episodes clearly structure the benthic community of the Trough, but this is not a simple matter of alternating mass mortality and recolonization; mobile species are clearly capable of avoiding the hypoxic zone in summer, but benefit from its productivity in winter and spring.  相似文献

2017年以来,广东省惠州市在考洲洋潮间带开展了大规模人工种植红树林生态修复工程,但考洲洋人工种植红树林湿地大型底栖动物群落的环境响应未见报道。根据2018-2019年四个季节在考洲洋盐洲大桥附近红树种植1-2年(X断面)和5-6年(Y断面)的两处湿地的大型底栖动物定量取样数据,分析了人工红树林湿地大型底栖动物的时空格局及其环境响应。方差分析表明,Y断面冬季的大型底栖动物群落的物种数、栖息密度、生物量、多样性指数(H'')和丰富度指数(d),以及夏季的栖息密度均随潮高(海平面高程)降低而增加;而Y断面冬季的均匀度指数(J)、夏季的H''J则是随潮高降低而减少。聚类(Cluster)和非度量多维尺度(nMDS)分析表明冬季和夏季X断面和Y断面大型底栖动物群落相似性较低,而春季和秋季X断面和Y断面大型底栖动物群落相似性较高。冬季和夏季最大潮高、潮差、大型底栖动物物种数、栖息密度、H''d较春季和秋季的高。红树种植1-2年的X断面大型底栖动物物种数、H''J低于种植5-6年的Y断面。上述结果证实潮汐和红树种植年限影响考洲洋红树林湿地大型底栖动物的群落结构,研究结果可为大型底栖动物多样性保护和生态修复提供基础资料。  相似文献

廉州湾滨海湿地潮间带大型底栖动物群落次级生产力   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
于2011年1月、4月、7月和10月开展广西廉州湾的裸滩、红树林和茳芏(Cyperus malaccensis)盐沼3种湿地生境类型的潮间带大型底栖动物群落季节动态调查,采用Brey 经验公式估算各生境次级生产力.结果表明:共采集到潮间带大型底栖动物8门156种,其中裸滩生境有136种,红树林生境85种,盐沼生境29种;站位平均种数为裸滩9.5±4.8种,红树林9.5±3.9种,盐沼5.9±1.9种,同时,各类群占总种数比例大小规律一致,为软体动物门>节肢动物门>环节动物门>脊索动物门>其他;盐沼生境大型底栖动物群落结构变化较小,宁波泥蟹(Ilyoplax ningpoensis)优势很明显,随着水体盐度上升,红树林和裸滩优势种由适应低盐环境向适应高盐环境的种类变化;廉州湾潮间带大型底栖动物群落的次级生产力平均为15.88 g·m-2·a-1,裸滩、红树林和盐沼生境分别为16.16、9.97、3.88g·m-2 ·a-1;P/B值平均为0.70,3种生境分别为盐沼1.02,裸滩0.70,红树林0.65;廉州湾潮间带大型底栖动物年湿质量生产量为14623 t.水体盐度和植被类型是影响廉州湾潮间带大型底栖动物群落结构的优势种群以致次级生产力的空间分布变化的主要因素.  相似文献

Local communities have preferences and expectations regarding mangrove ecosystems that are typically underrepresented in valuation studies. Therefore, this study identifies how the local community of Mahahual (Mexico) perceives the ecosystem services provided by the mangrove forest and how these preferences differ between households. A survey was designed by one of the authors and local stakeholders building on previous knowledge and experts (local environmental research centre and non-governmental organisation Takata and its experts in biology and coastal conservation, ecotourism businesses’ owners, and the mayor of the village). The survey is used to cover a wide range of ecosystem services such as carbon sequestration, recreation and cultural activities as well as improved connectivity with local seagrass beds and coral reefs. Ecosystem services were specifically chosen by biologists and ecologists of the local NGO to perfectly reflect the local mangroves ecosystem. The small land area of the village, its low population and its rapid expansion offer a unique context, aiming at preserving the natural environment while keeping in mind that the main economy is based on tourism. While mangroves are greatly appreciated for the local protective services they provide such as coastal protection, local inhabitants also care about services that have a wider impact such as biodiversity and carbon sequestration. We find that the educational background of local inhabitants plays an important role in determining the importance of local ecosystem services and that information provision can help to counterbalance this effect. We also observe that preferences for specific ecosystem services differ based on how close residents live to the mangroves and to the coast, which accentuates the different needs and ideas of the households based on their local neighbourhood.  相似文献

底栖动物是红树林生态系统的重要组成部分。本文总结了近年来国内外红树林底栖动物的生物多样性、分布模式及其影响因素的研究进展,并从以下5个方面阐述了底栖动物(尤其是相手蟹)对红树林生态系统的影响:1)维持系统初级生产;2)丰富系统有机物生产;3)影响红树植物生长;4)降低幼苗竞争压力;5)改变沉积物性质。除传统的群落结构、生物多样性和个体生物学研究外,目前红树林底栖动物生态学的研究正逐步向红树林沙蟹等其他海洋无脊椎动物的种间关系、底栖生物区系与栖息地间相互关系研究发展。有必要重新认识蟹类的生物扰动对红树林更新和红树林生态系统能量流动的积极意义。  相似文献

We demonstrated the effect of an aquatic herbivore on the spatial arrangement of benthic algal biomass within artificial stream channels. Transects of ceramic tiles were exposed to a gradient of snail (Physella) densities in a 30 d experiment. We observed positive effects of snails on the mean abundance of overstory algae (the filamentous chlorophyte Cladophora and associated epiphytes), an important benthic microhabitat in streams. Snails altered several aspects of the spatial arrangement of overstory algae. Snails reduced the strength of downstream gradients in overstory biomass, as well as residual variability around these gradients. Geostatistical analysis revealed that snails also reduced the strength of spatial dependence, and so reduced spatial heterogeneity of the overstory, at small scales (<40 cm). As a result, organisms inhabiting the overstory might experience a more fragmented habitat landscape at high snail densities. In addition, snails increased the scale of spatial dependence in understory algal biomass (algae remaining on tiles after overstory was removed) from 10 cm to 40 cm. Consumer effects on the spatial arrangement of a microhabitat argue for the inclusion of feedbacks between the biota and the environment in spatially-explicit models.  相似文献

人类对次生林生态系统的长期扰动必然会对地下生态过程产生深刻影响,而土壤动物群落结构和功能多样性对地下生态过程的演变有重要的指示意义.本文以小陇山林区恢复近30年的次生林和栽植近30年的油松、日本落叶松、欧洲云杉和粗枝云杉林为对象,通过对5种林型土壤动物群落密度调查,采用PCA排序和方差分析等方法,探讨了不同林型土壤动物群落结构特征和营养结构.结果表明:油松林和日本落叶松林土壤动物群落密度是次生林的3.0和2.1倍;油松和日本落叶松人工林土壤动物群落中消费者/分解者比值明显高于次生林,油松林和日本落叶松林消费者/分解者的比值显著高于欧洲云杉林和粗枝云杉林;不同人工林土壤动物群落结构存在明显差异,油松林和日本落叶松林土壤动物群落密度是粗枝云杉林的4.5和3.1倍,而油松林土壤动物群落类群丰富度是欧洲云杉林和粗枝云杉林的1.5倍.  相似文献

In this study, we aim at investigating the role of physical disturbance in effects of water-based drill cuttings on benthic ecosystems. Today, most of the cuttings discharged from oil and gas installations contain water-based drilling muds, rather than oil-based or synthetic muds. Drill cuttings with water-based muds are assumed to cause only marginal effects on the benthos, mainly resulting from sedimentation. However, this statement has not been experimentally tested, which is the purpose of the present work. Natural sediment particles and water-based drill cuttings were added to benthic communities in layer thicknesses of 3-24 mm in a mesocosm set-up. During the following 6 months, changes in benthic community structure and fluxes of oxygen and nutrients across the sediment water interface were studied. There was a significant reduction in number of taxa, abundance, biomass and diversity of macrofauna with increasing thickness of drill cuttings, which was not observed for the natural sediment particles. The drill cuttings also influenced oxygen consumption and oxygen penetration depth in the sediment, and it was concluded that an organic compound in the drill cuttings initiated a typical eutrophication response. Fluxes of phosphate and silicate were, however, similarly affected by the two types of particles, and maximum fluxes occurred in sediments treated with thin layers (3-6 mm) of particles. As the response of water-based drill cuttings in the present study was a result of factors other than physical disturbance, we recommend a reconsideration of the assumption that water-based drill cuttings only cause sedimentation (burial) effects.  相似文献

Variation in the wood and bark anatomy of the dominant species of a mangrove forest community in Mexico was evaluated in relation to some environmental factors, and their physiological adaptations to salinity and flooding period are discussed. The forest is characterized by three zones according to the presence of dominant tree species and flooding periodicity. Vessel arrangement and wood and bark ray height are strongly associated with flooding zones where trees are growing. Variance analyses revealed significant differences among zones for these anatomical characteristics. Soil texture and water salinity were the most useful parameters for the prediction of values of anatomical characteristics. More abundant vessels in radial multiples in a shorter flooding period suggest a functional advantage of multiple vessel groups. Taller wood and bark rays in response to prolonged flooding period can be attributed to anoxic conditions. Among zones, significant differences in the vulnerability index of the species were detected, but not with respect to relative conductivity. Significant differences among zones exist for wood and bark characteristics involved in vertical and horizontal water transport, photosynthates and gas exchange.  相似文献

Parasites were observed in medium- and small-sized fish taken from the discards of a commercial shrimper during seven different cruises in the tidal channels of the North Frisian Wadden Sea (Süderaue, North Sea) from April to September 1991. In total, 442 fish comprising four species (Sprattus sprattus, Hyperoplus lanceolatus, Ammodytes tobianus, Pomatoschistus minutus) were investigated. The parasite fauna consisted of 22 species. The parasite community structure of the 4 hosts was compared. The diet of the hosts seemed to be the main factor determining the structure of the parasite community. Other factors could not be assessed. Eight species of parasites occurred as larval stages. This indicated that fish were intermediate or paratenic hosts in their life cycle. The nematodeHysterothylacium sp. (Anisakidae) and the digeneanCryptocotyle lingua (Heterophyidea) were the dominant parasites, reaching their highest prevalence and density in sprat and sand eel. Sprat and sand eel play a very important role in parasite transmission to predacious fish and seabirds.  相似文献

Time of day is usually not considered an important factor underlying the structure of forest passerine communities. However, this study shows that the positions exploited in trees by some members of a community change during the day in a cyclic pattern. Coal Tit Pants ater, Crested Tit Parus cristatus and Goldcrest Regulus regulus foraged lower and nearer to the trunk at midday than in the first and last hours of the day. Simultanously, there were diurnal changes in the niche breadth (degree of uniformity in the exploitation of the different parts of the trees). The Coal Tit reached the maximum niche breadth values during the central part of the day, with the minimum being recorded at that time for the Crested Tit and the Goldcrest. On the other hand, Treecreepers Certhia sp. did not show significant diurnal variation. These results, together with the changes in activity levels during the day for each species, suggest that time of day plays an important role in the structure of the community, allowing a more uniform use of the habitat and addressing a new interpretation of the interspeciic relationships inside the community, with competitive relationships not showing the same intensity throughout the day.  相似文献

The decomposition of mangrove litter in a subtropical mangrove forest   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:1  
Decomposition of Avicennia marina (Forsk.) Vierh. leaf and woody litter (twigs) was studied using litter bag experiments in a subtropical mangrove forest at two tidal levels (high and low) with different inundation regimes and during two seasons (summer and winter). Losses in dry weight were best described by a single exponential model which showed loss rates of both leaves and twigs were significantly higher low down on the shoreline (greater inundation) and in summer. The time (days) required for the loss of half of the initial dry weight (t 50) was summer: high 59, low 44; winter: high 98, low 78. For twigs the values (days) were summer: high 383, low 179; winter; high 1327, low 1207. There is an exponential relationship between leaf litter t 50's and latitude which indicates the importance of temperature and therefore season, to the dynamics of organic cycling and export in mangrove systems.  相似文献

Benthic oxygen consumption and primary production were measured using the bell jar technique in deltaic and fringing mangrove forests of tropical northeastern Australia. In a deltaic forest, rates of sediment respiration ranged from 197 to 1645 mol O2 m–2 h–1 (mean=836), but did not vary significantly with season or intertidal zone. Gross primary production varied among intertidal zones and seasons, ranging from –281 to 1413 mol O2 m–2 h–1 (mean=258). Upon tidal exposure, rates of gross primary production increased, but respiration rates did not change significantly. In a fringing mangrove forest, benthic respiration and gross primary production exhibited strong seasonality. In both forests, rates of oxygen consumption and production were low compared to salt marshes, but equivalent to rates in other mangrove forests. The production:respiration (P/R) ratio varied greatly over space and time (range:–0.61 to 1.76), but most values were «1 with a mean of 0.15, indicating net heterotrophy. On a bare creek bank and a sandflat, rates of gross primary production and P/R ratios were generally higher than in the adjacent mangroves. Low microalgal standing stocks, low light intensity under the canopy, and differences in gross primary production between mangroves and tidal flats, and with tidal status, indicate that benthic microalgae are light-limited and a minor contributor to primary productivity in these tropical mangrove forests.  相似文献

The macroalgal communities associated with pneumatophores, basal area of tree trunks and sediment surface in the mangrove forest at Sementa, Selangor consisted of nine main species. Biomass, frequency of occurrence and relative cover of the species along a belt transect, showed two major trends, a decrease in these parameters in the landward direction for Colpomenia sp. Gracilaria blodgettii and Gracilaria crassa and an increase in the landward direction for Dictyota dichotoma, Catenella nipae, Rhizoclonium sp. and Bostrichia radicans. Algal dominance varied with substratum. Pneumatophores were dominated by Caloglossa lepreurii and sediment surface by D. dichotoma. The 40 cm zone at the base of tree trunks was dominated by two algal species. The 0–20 cm region above the sediment surface was colonized by C. nipae, while the 20–40 cm region was dominated by Rhizoclonium sp. The study identified the importance of substrate in macroalgal colonization.  相似文献

The behavior of groundwater and physical properties of bottom sediment in a riverine-type mangrove forest which is composed of a tidal creek and fringing mangrove swamps were investigated through field observations at Iriomote Island, Japan. After the tidal water ebbed from the swamp surface to the creek, groundwater levels at swamp sites near the creek fell by up to 15 cm by the next flood tide, although the fall was negligible at sites far from the creek and at the open coast outside the mangrove forest. The amount of groundwater discharged to the creek from the swamp depended strongly both on the tidal range and the presence of the steep bank which separates the tidal creek from the fringing mangrove swamp. Based on the fall of groundwater level, the bulk hydraulic conductivity of the swamp was estimated to be 1.5×10−2 cm/s. This value is two to three orders of magnitude larger than that measured in a laboratory using small scale sediment core samples collected in the swamp. These results suggest that the presence of crowded, intricate and large animal burrows as well as sediment layers rich in mangrove humus increases permeability in the mangrove swamp. Further, it is suggested that the mangrove topography with the steep bank of the tidal creek plays an important role which enhances material exchanges through groundwater between the mangrove swamp and the adjacent offshore waters.  相似文献

The cyanobacterial community colonizing phyllosphere in a well-preserved Brazilian mangrove ecosystem was assessed using cultivation-independent molecular approaches. Leaves of trees that occupy this environment (Rhizophora mangle,Avicennia schaueriana and Laguncularia racemosa) were collected along a transect beginning at the margin of the bay and extending upland. The results demonstrated that the phyllosphere of R. mangle and L. racemosa harbor similar assemblages of cyanobacteria at each point along the transect. A. schaueriana, found only in the coastal portions of the transect, was colonized by assemblages with lower richness than the other trees. However, the results indicated that spatial location was a stronger driver of cyanobacterial community composition than plant species. Distinct cyanobacterial communities were observed at each location along the coast-to-upland transect. Clone library analysis allowed identification of 19 genera of cyanobacteria and demonstrated the presence of several uncultivated taxa. A predominance of sequences affiliated with the orders Nostocales and Oscillatoriales was observed, with a remarkable number of sequences similar to genera Symphyonemopsis/Brasilonema (order Nostocales). The results demonstrated that phyllosphere cyanobacteria in this mangrove forest ecosystem are influenced by environmental conditions as the primary driver at the ecosystem scale, with tree species exerting some effect on community structure at the local scale.  相似文献

Summary The ecomorphological model which attempts to identify important variation in the total morphology of groups of animals has been used with some success in communities of fishes. The applicability of the model to subsets of the community, such as guilds of ecologically similar species, is uncertain, and the effects of the possible changes in correlations among morphological variables caused by demographic changes across seasons is unknown. An ecomorphological model is applied to a guild of benthic stream fishes from the Tombigbee River, Mississippi. The model is found to describe structuring in the guild based on aspects of the trophic morphology and the length of the body. Morphologically distinct groups of species are described by the model. The effect of indeterminate growth seems not to be of sufficient magnitude to change groupings across seasons. However, species associations within morphological groups change seasonally. I conclude that ecomorphological models may be properly applied to community subsets, but the interpretation of the model must consider the nature of the data set with respect of seasonality.  相似文献

1. The aphids Dysaphis plantaginea Passerini, Aphis spp. (Aphis pomi De Geer and Aphis spiraecola Patch), and Eriosoma lanigerum Hausmann are commonly found together in apple orchards. Ants establish a mutualistic relationship with the myrmecophilous aphids D. plantaginea and Aphis spp. but not with E. lanigerum. 2. Field surveys and one experiment manipulating the presence of ants and the aphid species were conducted to test the hypothesis that ants play a role in structuring the community of these aphids on apple. 3. Ants tended D. plantaginea and Aphis spp. but not E. lanigerum colonies. In the field, D. plantaginea performed better in the presence of ants while no effect was observed in Aphis spp. Contrarily, populations of Aphis spp. in the manipulative experiment performed better in the presence of ants while no differences were observed for D. plantaginea. Such differences between field and manipulative conditions could be related to thermal tolerance, phenology, and life cycles. In contrast, populations of E. lanigerum were reduced in the presence of ants. 4. Ants also had a significant negative effect on the abundance of natural enemies, which could partially explain the benefits to the tended aphids. However, while ants did not provide a benefit to Aphis spp. when it was reared alone, in the presence of other species ant attendance increased Aphis abundance by 256% and simultaneously reduced E. lanigerum abundance by 63%. Therefore, ants benefited Aphis by reducing competition with other aphid species, which involves a different mechanism, explaining the benefit of ant attendance. Considering all the aphid species together, ants had a net positive effect on aphid abundance, which was consequently considered harmful for the plant. 5. Our results highlighted the role that ants play in structuring apple aphid communities and give support to the observed pattern that ants can benefit tended aphids while simultaneously reducing the abundance of untended herbivores.  相似文献
