目的:探讨恶性胆道梗阻患者行PTBD(Percutaneous Transhepatic Biliary Drainage)术中金属支架置入成功率的影响因素。方法:回顾性搜集2010年10月-2017年1月上海市第一人民医院收治的因患有近端恶性胆道梗阻行PTBD术患者的相关临床资料。比较不同原发病因患者支架置入情况。根据患者支架置入是否成功将其分为支架组和非支架组,比较患者的一般临床特征。结果:胰腺癌、胃癌和胆囊癌为本研究中数量上前3位的肿瘤,将以上3组分别按照支架置入数行x~2检验,其中胰腺癌(n=18,支架=6)和胃癌(n=14,支架=11)有统计学意义。将50例患者分为支架组(n=28)和非支架组(n=22),组间比较差异有统计学意义的因素包括:白细胞计数(支架组=6.40±3.40×10~9/L,非支架组=10.74±6.41×10~9/L),中性粒细胞计数(支架组=4.90±3.06×10~9/L,非支架组=8.92±6.25×10~9/L),胆道感染(支架组=9,非支架组=15)。进一步将该50例患者分为6组:胰腺癌-胆道感染组、胃癌-胆道感染组、其他肿瘤-胆道感染组、胰腺癌+胆道感染组、胃癌+胆道感染组、其他肿瘤+胆道感染组。将以上6组分别按照支架置入数行x~2检验,胰腺癌+胆道感染组(n=11,支架=1,P=0.001)有统计学意义。结论:PTBD术对于恶性胆道梗阻是一种有效的姑息治疗手段。胆道感染是PTBD术中支架置入成功的不利因素,胰腺癌合并胆道感染会显著降低PTBD术中支架置入成功率。  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to evaluate frequency, clinical spectrum, and treatment of myocardial metastases in patients with histologically proven neuroendocrine tumors by analysis of our database and literature review. The literature on cardiac metastases in patients with neuroendocrine tumors published from 1973 to the present was reviewed for age, sex, primary tumor localization, metastases, symptoms, complications, treatment, diagnostic methods, and histology. Patient records from our institution were analyzed retrospectively for cardiac metastases detected by any diagnostic means and detailed patient histories are given. 4 patients with myocardial metastases could be identified in our database (n=550) while literature review identified 41 published cases. Mean age at initial diagnosis was 57.5 years (females=13, males=28), primary tumor localizations were foregut (n=7), midgut (n=28), hindgut (n=1), or unknown (n=3). Carcinoid syndrome was reported for 28 patients. Cardiac involvement was right-ventricular only (n=10), left-ventricular only (n=11), or biventricular (n=10). Diagnosis was obtained by echocardiography (n=21), CT/MRI (n=12) and other methods (n=9), or by autopsy (n=9). We describe visualization of cardiac metastases by (68)Ga-DOTATOC-PET/CT for the first time. Clinical presentation ranged from asymptomatic patients to cardiac arrest. Follow-up times ranged from <1 month up to 12 years. Clinicians treating patients with neuroendocrine tumors should be aware of the heart as a possible site of metastatic disease. Echocardiography and MRI are the methods of choice for follow-up, while PET/CT might contribute to earlier and more frequent detection. Management of cardiac metastases requires close cooperation between specialists of internal medicine, nuclear medicine, and cardiac surgery.  相似文献

Asplenic patients have a lifelong risk of overwhelming post-splenectomy infection and have been reported to have low numbers of peripheral blood IgM memory B cells. The clinical value of quantitation of memory B cells as an indicator of splenic abnormality or risk of infection has been unclear. To assess changes in B cell sub-populations after splenectomy we studied patients recruited to a spleen registry (n = 591). A subset of 209 adult asplenic or hyposplenic subjects, and normal controls (n = 140) were tested for IgM memory B cells. We also determined a) changes in IgM memory B cells with time after splenectomy using the cross-sectional data from patients on the registry and b) the kinetics of changes in haematological markers associated with splenectomy(n = 45). Total B cells in splenectomy patients did not differ from controls, but memory B cells, IgM memory B cells and switched B cells were significantly (p<0.001) reduced. The reduction was similar for different indications for splenectomy. Changes of asplenia in routine blood films including presence of Howell-Jolly bodies (HJB), occurred early (median 25 days) and splenectomy associated thrombocytosis and lymphocytosis peaked by 50 days. There was a more gradual decrease in IgM memory B cells reaching a stable level within 6 months after splenectomy. IgM memory B cells as proportion of B cells was the best discriminator between splenectomized patients and normal controls and at the optimal cut-off of 4.53, showed a true positive rate of 95% and false positive rate of 20%. In a survey of 152 registry patients stratified by IgM memory B cells around this cut-off there was no association with minor infections and no registry patients experienced OPSI during the study. Despite significant changes after splenectomy, conventional measures of IgM memory cells have limited clinical utility in this population.  相似文献

目的:评估二种心脏停搏液不同灌注方法对心肌保护作用。方法:30例双瓣患者随机分为冷晶体停搏液间断灌注组(n=10),冷血停搏液间断灌注组(n=10),冷血停搏液持续灌注组(n=10),观察血浆心肌肌钙蛋白T(CnT)、肌酸激酶(CK)、肌酸激酶同工酶(CK—MB)。结果:体外循环后冷晶体停搏液间断灌注组血浆心肌肌钙蛋白T和肌酸激酶、肌酶激酶同工酶较其他2组明显增高;冷血停搏液间断灌注组和冷血停搏液持续灌注组血浆心肌肌钙蛋白T、肌酸激酶、肌酸激酶同工酶无明显差异。结论:冷血停搏液的心肌保护优于冷晶体停搏液,冷血停搏液间断灌注与持续灌注没有明显差异。  相似文献

A majority of cardiac surgeons manage deep sternal infection with sternal wound debridement, rewiring, and closed drainage, with or without antibiotic saline tube irrigation (the traditional approach). The authors' experience with the traditional approach was unsatisfactory; therefore, they undertook a radical change in management: an immediate plastic surgical approach. Hence, deep sternal infection was managed by immediate debridement followed by a bilateral pectoralis major myocutaneous advancement flap with greater omental transposition (PMOFR). This is the first such study reporting the effect of this strategy on the rate of eradication of deep sternal infection, intensive care unit stay, total hospital length of stay, major complications, mortality, intermediate survival, and patient satisfaction, as compared with the traditional approach used by cardiac surgeons at the authors' institution.All patients who developed a deep sternal infection from 1993 through 1998 at a tertiary teaching hospital were included. In the PMOFR group (nine patients), after a diagnosis of clinical sternal wound infection, debridement was performed immediately, either if sternal dehiscence occurred or in the absence of clinical dehiscence, if the patient or the sternotomy wound did not clinically improve with medical therapy within 48 hours from suspected diagnosis. Open irrigation and packing for 2 to 4 days was followed by treatment with a PMOFR. In the group treated using the traditional approach (12 patients), no predetermined plan was present. Thus, at the cardiac surgeon's discretion, wound debridement was undertaken, followed by closed drainage (three patients), closed tube irrigation (six patients), and open granulation with delayed plastic surgery (three patients).The incidence of major complications (PMOFR, 22 percent; traditional approach, 92 percent; p = 0.001), intensive care unit readmission (PMOFR, 0 percent; traditional approach, 58 percent; p = 0.005), total hospital length of stay (PMOFR, 32 days; traditional approach, 79 days; p = 0.001), reoperation rates (PMOFR, 0 percent; traditional approach, 100 percent; p = 0.001) and in-hospital 30-day mortality rate (PMOFR, 0 percent; traditional approach, 33 percent; p = 0.05) were superior in the PMOFR group. At a mean follow-up of 2 years, freedom from recurrence of the infection (PMOFR, 100 percent; traditional approach, 11.5 percent; p = 0.005) and overall survival rate (PMOFR, 100 percent; traditional approach, 50 percent; p = 0.005) were also superior with PMOFR. A majority of patients in the PMOFR group (90 percent) had no functional or cosmetic complaints secondary to the procedure.A predetermined plan of immediate debridement followed by treatment with PMOFR rapidly, reliably, and effectively eradicated deep sternal infection. This translated to reduced length of stay and need for additional surgery, improved survival, and excellent intermediate freedom from deep sternal infection, with minimal patient dissatisfaction. The traditional approach to managing deep sternal infection was thus abandoned.  相似文献

Use of proteomics to discover novel markers of cardiac allograft rejection   总被引:7,自引:0,他引:7  
Endomyocardial biopsy remains the most reliable method of detecting rejection following cardiac transplantation. Despite numerous attempts to detect rejection using a blood assay, none have proved reliable enough to replace the biopsy. Here, we have investigated the hypothesis that proteomics has the potential to reveal many molecules which are upregulated in the heart during rejection, some of which may serve as novel blood markers of rejection. Initially, sequential cardiac biopsies (33 in total) from 4 patients were analysed by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis according to whether they showed rejection (n = 16) or no rejection (n = 17); over 100 proteins were found to be upregulated by between 2- and 50-fold during rejection. Of these, 13 were identified and were found to be cardiac specific or heat shock proteins. Two of these (alphaB-crystallin, tropomyosin) were measured by ELISA in the sera of 17 patients followed for 3 months after their transplants. Mean levels of alphaB-crystallin and tropomyosin were significantly higher in sera associated with biopsies showing 1A (p = 0.007) or all grades of rejection (p = 0.022) compared to no rejection. These studies demonstrate that proteomics is a powerful method that can be used to identify novel serum markers of human cardiac allograft rejection.  相似文献

目的探讨院内深部真菌感染的临床表现、感染相关因素及诊断治疗措施.方法对1993年1月至2002年12月间经微生物检查证实的92例院内深部真菌感染的病例临床资料进行回顾性分析.结果在92例患者中,肺部疾病26例,糖尿病19例,血液病及肿瘤19例,外科手术后13例,消化系统疾病6例,慢性肾脏病6例,风湿性疾病3例.主要感染真菌为白色念珠菌和酵母菌.感染相关因素:长时间应用广谱抗生素病人65例,应用糖皮质激素22例,应用免疫抑制剂18例,应用气管切开或气管内插管以及中心静脉留置导管17例,进行血液净化治疗的9例.治疗痊愈59例(64.1%),好转10例(10.9%),死亡23例(25%).结论白色念珠菌是院内深部真菌感染的主要致病菌株,有逐年增加趋势,病死率高.与长时间应用广谱抗生素及免疫抑制剂等有相关性.  相似文献

Background

Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer death in Western countries, with the lowest 1-year survival rate among commonly diagnosed cancers. Reliable biomarkers for pancreatic cancer diagnosis are lacking and are urgently needed to allow for curative surgery. As microRNA (miRNA) recently emerged as candidate biomarkers for this disease, we explored in the present pilot study the differences in salivary microRNA profiles between patients with pancreatic tumors that are not eligible for surgery, precancerous lesions, inflammatory disease or cancer-free patients as a potential early diagnostic tool.

Methods

Whole saliva samples from patients with pancreatic cancer (n = 7), pancreatitis (n = 4), IPMN (n = 2), or healthy controls (n = 4) were obtained during endoscopic examination. After total RNA isolation, expression of 94 candidate miRNAs was screened by q(RT)PCR using Biomark Fluidgm. Human-derived pancreatic cancer cells were xenografted in athymic mice as an experimental model of pancreatic cancer.

Results

We identified hsa-miR-21, hsa-miR-23a, hsa-miR-23b and miR-29c as being significantly upregulated in saliva of pancreatic cancer patients compared to control, showing sensitivities of 71.4%, 85.7%, 85,7% and 57%, respectively and excellent specificity (100%). Interestingly, hsa-miR-23a and hsa-miR23b are overexpressed in the saliva of patients with pancreatic cancer precursor lesions. We found that hsa-miR-210 and let-7c are overexpressed in the saliva of patients with pancreatitis as compared to the control group, with sensitivity of 100% and 75%, and specificity of 100% and 80%, respectively. Last hsa-miR-216 was upregulated in cancer patients as compared to patients diagnosed with pancreatitis, with sensitivity of 50% and specificity of 100%. In experimental models of PDAC, salivary microRNA detection precedes systemic detection of cancer cells markers.

Conclusions

Our novel findings indicate that salivary miRNA are discriminatory in pancreatic cancer patients that are not eligible for surgery. In addition, we demonstrate in experimental models that salivary miRNA detection precedes systemic detection of cancer cells markers. This study stems for the use of salivary miRNA as biomarker for the early diagnosis of patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer.  相似文献

目的观察幽门螺杆菌(Helicobacter pylori,H.pylori)感染的慢性非萎缩性胃炎(no-atrophic gastritis,NAG)→萎缩性胃炎(chronic atrophic gastritis,CAG)→肠上皮化生(intestinal metaplasia,IM)→非典型增生(dysplasia,DYS)→胃癌(gastric cancer,GC)五个不同阶段miR-1、miR-20a、miR-34a、miR-423-5p表达变化规律及其与临床的关系。方法收集胃镜及病理证实的上述胃癌发生五个不同阶段且H.pylori感染的患者(依次为44、47、43、50、45例),胃癌无H.pylori感染者46例,胃黏膜正常(normal gastric mucose,NGM)63例的血清标本,采用Real-time PCR法检测无H.pylori感染者miR-1、miR-20a、miR-34a、miR-423-5p表达。结果 H.pylori感染NAG→GC不同阶段,miR-1、miR-20a、miR-34a、miR-423-5p表达逐渐升高(P0.05),GC阶段最高,miR-1、miR-20a CAG→GC阶段均高于NGM (P0.05),与NGM比较差异有统计学意义(P0.05);其表达程度与GC发生阶段呈正相关(P0.001);GC组H.pylori感染者较无H.pylori感染者miR-1、miR-20a、miR-34a、miR-423-5p表达升高(P0.05)。结论 H.pylori感染CAG→GC阶段miR-1、miR-20a、miR-34a、miR-423-5p表达升高,向胃癌演进中呈逐渐升高趋势,miR-1、miR-20a、miR-34a、miR-423-5p高表达可能是H.pylori感染后导致胃癌发生发展的重要机制,miR-1、miR-20a、miR-34a可作为诊断早期胃癌的标记物。  相似文献

Background

In order to provide reliable tissue material for malignant mesothelioma (MM) studies, we re-evaluated biopsies and autopsy material from 61 patients with a diagnosis of MM from the period of 1980-2002.

Methods

Basic positive (Calretinin, EMA, Podoplanin, Mesothelin) and negative (CEA, Ber-Ep4) immunohistochemical (IHC) marker reactions were determined. If needed, more markers were used. Histological diagnoses were made by three pathologists. Survival data were calculated.

Results

49 cases (80%) were considered being MM by a high degree of likelihood, five more cases possible MM. Of the remaining seven cases, three were diagnosed as adenocarcinoma, three as pleomorphic lung carcinoma, in one peritoneal case a clear entity diagnosis could not be given. One of the possible MM cases and two of the lung carcinoma cases had this already as primary diagnoses, but were registered as MM. With a sensitivity of 100%, Calretinin and CEA were the most reliable single markers. The amount of MM cells with positive immunoreactivity (IR) for Podoplanin and Mesothelin showed most reliable inverse relation to the degree of atypia. In the confirmed MM cases, there had been applied either no IHC or between one and 18 markers. The cases not confirmed by us had either lacked IHC (n = 1), non-specific markers were used (n = 4), IR was different (n = 1), or specific markers had not shown positive IR in the right part of the tumour cells (n = 3). 46 of the 49 confirmed and three of the not confirmed cases had been diagnosed by us as most likely MM before IHC was carried out.

Conclusions

In order to use archival tissue material with an earlier MM diagnosis for studies, histopathological re-evaluation is important. In possible sarcomatous MM cases without any positive IR for positive MM markers, radiology and clinical picture are essential parts of diagnostics. IHC based on a panel of two positive and two negative MM markers has to be adapted to the differential diagnostic needs in each single case. New diagnostic tools and techniques are desirable for cases where IHC and other established methods cannot provide a clear entity diagnosis, and in order to improve MM treatment.  相似文献

利用GeXP多重基因表达遗传分析系统,建立一种多重逆转录-聚合酶链反应(RT-PCR)方法,同时检测引起手足口病的9种常见的人肠道病毒—人肠道病毒71型(HEV71)、柯萨奇病毒A组(CVA)16、4、5、9、10型和柯萨奇病毒B组(CVB)1、3、5型。优化多重反应体系中针对5’UTR区的肠道病毒通用引物和11对针对9种血清型人肠道病毒VP1区的特异性引物的浓度比例,分别以病毒细胞培养物和阳性粪便标本来验证多重反应体系的特异性,以TCID50定量的细胞培养物和克隆质粒体外转录的RNA梯度稀释液来检测多重检测体系的灵敏度。结果表明,优化后的多重检测体系,可扩增出人肠道病毒共有的保守片段的和型特异性片段,HEV71和CVA16细胞培养物的检测下限为100.5TCID50/μL,并可在103copies/μL水平同时、特异地检测出9种病毒RNA。该方法灵敏度高、特异性强,可快速对大量临床样本进行高通量检测,用于手足口病的分子流行病学调查。  相似文献

The infection dynamics of the tick-transmitted organism Ehrlichia chaffeensis were investigated in white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) using different routes of inoculation. Six deer were each inoculated with 5.4 x 10(6) DH82 cells infected with E. chaffeensis (Arkansas strain) by three different routes: intravenous (n = 2), subcutaneous (n = 2), and intradermal (n = 2). Two control deer were inoculated with uninfected cells. Infections were monitored for 54 days and were continued in one deer from each E. chaffeensis inoculated group for an additional 31 days. All deer inoculated with E. chaffeensis seroconverted (> or = 1: 64) and became 16S rDNA polymerase chain reaction and/or cell culture positive by post-inoculation day 15. There was no apparent (difference in susceptibility to infection between deer inoculated by different routes for the first 50 days based on detection of E. chaffeensis infection by PCR assay of blood or culture isolation. These results demonstrate infection of (deer by intradermal and subcutaneous routes for the first time.  相似文献

Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) bearing HLA-DR in its envelope was detected in plasma from all patients with chronic HIV-1 infection (n = 16) and was present at higher levels in patients with active tuberculosis coinfection (n = 6). BackgroundThe mechanisms that control local and systemic inflammation in scrub typhus have only been partially elucidated. The wingless (Wnt) signaling pathways are emerging as important regulators of inflammation and infection, but have not been investigated in scrub typhus.Methodology/Principal findingsPlasma levels of secreted Wnt antagonists (i.e. DKK-1, sFRP-3, WIF-1 and SOST) were analyzed in patients with scrub typhus (n = 129), patients with similar febrile illness without O. tsutsugamushi infection (n = 31), febrile infectious disease controls, and in healthy controls (n = 31) from the same area of South India, and were correlated to markers of inflammation, immune and endothelial cell activation as well as for their association with organ specific dysfunction and mortality in these patients. We found i) Levels of SOST and in particular sFRP-3 and WIF-1 were markedly increased and DKK-1 decreased in scrub typhus patients at admission to the hospital compared to healthy controls. ii) In recovering scrub typhus patients, SOST, sFRP-3 and WIF-1 decreased and DKK-1 increased. iii) SOST was positively correlated with markers of monocyte/macrophage and endothelial/vascular activation as well as with renal dysfunction and poor outcome iv) Finally, regulation of Wnt pathways by O. tsutsugamushi in vitro in monocytes and ex vivo in mononuclear cells isolated from patients with scrub typhus, as evaluated by gene expression studies available in public repositories, revealed markedly attenuated canonical Wnt signaling.Conclusions/SignificanceOur findings suggest that scrub typhus is characterized by attenuated Wnt signaling possibly involving dysregulated levels of several secreted pathway antagonists. The secreted Wnt antagonist SOST was strongly associated with renal dysfunction and poor prognosis in these patients.  相似文献

Human enterovirus 71 infection causes hand, foot and mouth disease in children under 6 years of age and has caused mortalities in large-scale outbreaks in the Asia-Pacific region. No effective vaccine or antiviral drugs currently exist against enterovirus 71 in the clinic. In this study, we investigated the antiviral effect of geraniin on enterovirus 71 both in vitro and in vivo. The results showed that geraniin effectively inhibited virus replication in rhabdomyosarcoma cells with an IC(50) of 10 μg/ml. Moreover, geraniin treatment of mice that were challenged with a lethal dose of enterovirus 71 resulted in a reduction of mortality, relieved clinical symptoms, and inhibited virus replication in muscle tissues. The results suggest that geraniin may be used as a potential drug for anti-enterovirus 71.  相似文献

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from healthy donors improve cardiac function in experimental acute myocardial infarction (AMI) models. However, little is known about the therapeutic capacity of human MSCs (hMSCs) from patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD). Therefore, the behavior of hMSCs from IHD patients in an immune-compromised mouse AMI model was studied. Enhanced green fluorescent protein-labeled hMSCs from IHD patients (hMSC group: 2 x 10(5) cells in 20 microl, n = 12) or vehicle only (medium group: n = 14) were injected into infarcted myocardium of NOD/scid mice. Sham-operated mice were used as the control (n = 10). Cardiac anatomy and function were serially assessed using 9.4-T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); 2 wk after cell transplantation, immunohistological analysis was performed. At day 2, delayed-enhancement MRI showed no difference in myocardial infarction (MI) size between the hMSC and medium groups (33 +/- 2% vs. 36 +/- 2%; P = not significant). A comparable increase in left ventricular (LV) volume and decrease in ejection fraction (EF) was observed in both MI groups. However, at day 14, EF was higher in the hMSC than in the medium group (24 +/- 3% vs. 16 +/- 2%; P < 0.05). This was accompanied by increased vascularity and reduced thinning of the infarct scar. Engrafted hMSCs (4.1 +/- 0.3% of injected cells) expressed von Willebrand factor (16.9 +/- 2.7%) but no stringent cardiac or smooth muscle markers. hMSCs from patients with IHD engraft in infarcted mouse myocardium and preserve LV function 2 wk after AMI, potentially through an enhancement of scar vascularity and a reduction of wall thinning.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the significance of polyomavirus (PV) viruria and viremia by morphologic, immunohistochemical and molecular analysis (multiplex nested-polymerase chain reaction) in renal transplant patients. STUDY DESIGN: Urine (n=328), serum (n= 53) and renal biopsies (n=24) from renal transplant patients (n=106) were studied. RESULTS: Decoy cells were found in 53 samples (16%) from 19 patients (18%); viral DNA was amplified in all urinary samples and disclosed BK virus (BKV) (n=24), JC virus (JCV) (n=16), and JCV and BKV DNA (n=13). BKV was the prevailing genotype in patients with a high frequency of decoy cell excretion (p = 0.001). JCV excretion correlated with a low number (p = 0.01) and BKV with a high number of decoy cells (p=0.003). PV DNA was amplified from 30/53 serum samples (56.6%); BKV was the prevailing genotype (p = 0.04). On 24 renal biopsies (18 from the decoy cell-negative and 6 from the decoy cell-positive group) PV nephropathy (PVN) was identified and BKV DNA amplified in 4 biopsies, all from the group with a high frequency of decoy cell excretion. PVN was not identified in renal biopsies from the decoy cell-negative group. CONCLUSION: PV infection is frequent in renal transplant patients. The BKV genotype in urine and serum is significantly related to a high frequency and high number of decoy cells. PVN occurs only in patients with BKV viremia and a high number and frequency of decoy cell excretion in urine. In the absence of decoy cells, PVN can be excluded. Cytologic analysis of urine is an important diagnostic tool for screening renal transplant patients at risk of PVN.  相似文献

IFN-gamma responses to Mycobacterium tuberculosis specific antigens are used as in vitro diagnostic tests for tuberculosis infection. The tests are sensitive and specific for latent and active tuberculosis disease, but sensitivity may be reduced during immunosuppression. The objective of the study was to explore new ways to improve the diagnosis of tuberculosis infection using CXCL10 and IL-2 as alternative markers to IFN-gamma. CXCL10, IL-2, and IFN-gamma responses to stimulation with ESAT-6/CFP10/TB7.7 were assessed in 12 Quantiferon positive, 8 Quantiferon negative tuberculosis patients and 11 Quantiferon negative controls. CXCL10 and IL-2 were determined by multiplex and IFN-gamma by the Quantiferon ELISA. The median antigen specific CXCL10, IFN-gamma, and IL-2 responses in patients with tuberculosis were 870 pg/ml (range 261-1576 pg/ml), 217 pg/ml (81-1273 pg/ml), 59 pg/ml (14-276 pg/ml) respectively, and the CXCL10 responses were significantly higher than any of the other cytokines measured (p=0.001). In 4/7 individuals with a negative (n=6) or indeterminate (n=1) Quantiferon test, antigen specific CXCL10 responses were detectable at high levels ranging from 196-532 pg/ml. In conclusion CXCL10 was strongly induced after M. tuberculosis specific stimulation and sensitivity appeared superior to the Quantiferon test. Our findings suggest that CXCL10 may serve as an alternative or additional marker for the immunodiagnosis of tuberculosis.  相似文献
