The archaic lithic industries of Barranco León and Fuente Nueva sites in Orce in Andalusia and the stone tools of the Vallonnet french site was studied by petroarcheological analyses and reveal the sources exploited by the hominids. The localisation of these sources give data to define the territory exploited. These three examples provide the opportunity to assess the raw material selectivity, the behaviour and the territory occupation system of the first inhabitants of Europe. These lithic industries are composed by local raw material collected very close to the site or even on the site. These sources were probably an important argument on choosing the occupation site.  相似文献

Das internationale “Consortium for the Barcode of Life” will ein standardisiertes DNA‐Fragment aller Organismenarten der Welt sequenzieren. Dieser “Barcode” soll dazu dienen, Arten schnell und eindeutig zu bestimmen. Ziel ist neben der Katalogisierung des Lebens auf unserem Planeten auch die Entwicklung eines handlichen Geräts, das in der Lage ist, kostengünstig kleine Proben eines Organismus einer Art zuzuordnen. Profitieren können von diesem Ansatz nicht nur die Grundlagenforschung, sondern auch gesellschaftliche und politische Institutionen. Zudem stellt DNA‐Barcoding einen sehr wichtigen Beitrag zur Beschreibung der Artenvielfalt dar, da es diesen Prozess stark beschleunigen kann.  相似文献

The thermal stabilization and the configurational changes of DNA were studied during the binding process of silver ion. Melting curves of silver–DNA complexes were analyzed according to the method of Felsenfeld. An increase of Tm occurred during the formation of the first complex with a preferential stabilization of G–C pairs. In the case of DNA from H. influenzae, the transforming power was maintained after heating in presence of silver at a temperature where AT pairs were dissociated but G-C pairs were not. Shape modifications of the molecule were followed by light scattering, both with native and ultrasonic degraded DNA. In the case of native DNA, the binding of positive ions modified the electrostatic potential and increased the flexibility of the molecule. In the case of rod shaped fragments of DNA, the progressive formation of a kind of polyampholyte was accompanied by aggregation phenomena. The formation of the second complex, with proton release, induced changes of secondary structure and possibly a tilt of the plane of the base.  相似文献

Analysis of the setal system was conducted on the maxillipeds of Gonodactyloidea, which includes the smashers, a functional group of stomatopods. Generally, the homogeneity of the setal system is demonstrated in stomatopods. However, examination of maxillipeds of Gonodactyloidea reveals that some setal types are systematic characters at levels of families or species. The smashers group has a very homogeneous setal system in three families: Gonodactylidae, Odontodactylidae and Protosquillidae. The setal analysis of maxillipeds confirms the functional role of these appendages. Like other morphological characters, the setal system of stomatopods has co-evolved with behavioral patterns in both groups: spearers and smashers.  相似文献

SYNOPSIS. Six species of astomatous Infusoria, 4 new, are described from the alimentary tract of Oligochaeta from Ochrida Lake. Two belong to Ochridanus , characterized by a cytoskeleton whose "V"-shaped basal piece bears on its branches two articulated hooks brought together by a skeletal blade. This genus found in Ochridanous Tubificidae represents the counterpart of Anthonyella in the Lumbriculidae of Lake Baïkal. The presence of Ochridanus in these worms concurs with the almost complete absence of representatives of Radiophrya of which we have found but one species. A species of Metaradiophrya , a genus unknown to date from the Lumbricidae, was noticed in Glossoscolecidae. The different species of Ochridanus, Anthonyella, Metaradiophrya , and Radiophrya compose a very homogeneous group of Radiophryinae. The study of the ciliary rows and the cytoskeleton of 2 species of Juxtaradiophrya , parasitic in the Lumbriculidae of Ochrida, shows that, in the morphology of these ciliates, as well as in the same forms from Lake Baïkal, many transition characteristics exist between the Radiophryinae and Hoplitophryinae or Mesnilellinae. These 3 sub-families, with their undeniable genetic kinship give coherence to the family Hoplitophryidae.  相似文献

The Precambrian is the cradle of life. With a time span of about 4 Billion years it represents the largest part of earth history. Life changed the planet during the Precambrian by a lot of interactions with plate tectonics and raised into better qualities. A special milestone was the release of free oxygen by the stromatolithes at about 2.5 Billion years. An extreme bottleneck for the evolution of life was the Snowball Earth representing the freezing of the entire earth surface and the covering by an ice sheet. Plate tectonic processes were responsible for the melting of the ice sheet. In the aftermath of that glaciation the rapid radiation of the first complex higher life forms begun. These were represented by the so‐called Ediacara Biota, which occurred in the time span of about 630 and 543 Million years before today. The Ediacara Biota are unique in the evolution of life and existed in a close interaction with a leather‐like biomat at the sea‐floor which provided stability, hide and food. Among the Ediacara Biota the first primitive arthropods, the molluscs and the anthozoans occurred. In addition, in the fossil record are reported a lot of mystic life forms without a good or any classification. The Ediacara Biota represent the critical evolutionary step to pave the way for the explosion‐like radiation of life during the Cambrian that started at 542 Million years before present.  相似文献
