Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and Fourier transform Raman (FT-Raman) spectra of 3,4-dihydroxy-l-phenylalanine (3,4-DPA) in solid phase were recorded and analysed in this research. Along with this, the IR spectra in CHCl3 and the use of acetone as solvents of 3,4-DPA were also recorded. The equilibrium geometry, bonding features and harmonic vibrational frequencies were investigated with the help of density functional theory (DFT) method. The 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance chemical shifts of the molecule were calculated using the gauge including atomic orbital method and compared with experimental results. Stability of the molecule arising from hyperconjugative interactions and charge delocalisation was analysed using natural bond orbital analysis. The results show that charge in electron density (E D) in the σ* and π* antibonding orbitals and second-order delocalisation energies E(2) confirms the occurrence of intramolecular charge transfer within the molecule. UV–vis spectrum of the compound was recorded and the electronic properties, such as HOMO and LUMO energies, were analysed using the time-dependent (TD)-DFT approach. Finally, the calculation results were applied to simulate infrared and Raman spectra of the title compound, which showed good agreement with the observed spectra.  相似文献

Density functional theory (DFT) (B3LYP and B3PW91) calculations have been carried out for 2,6-dimethyl-2,5-heptadien-4-one (DMHD4O) using 6–311++ G** basis set. Complete vibrational assignment and analysis of the fundamental modes of the compound were carried out from the FTIR and FT-Raman spectral data. The theoretical electronic absorption has been calculated by using time-dependent DFT (TD-DFT) methods and compared with the experimental spectra. The theoretically computed Frontier energy gaps and TD-DFT calculations are in good agreement with the experimental UV–vis spectral absorption. The chemical hardness measured from the Frontier molecular orbital energies of DMHD4O is 0.0693 eV. Electronic stability of the compound arising from hyperconjugative interactions and charge delocalisation were also investigated based on the natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis. Effective stabilisation energy E (2) associated with the interactions of the π and the lone pair of electrons was determined by the NBO analysis. 13C and 1H NMR chemical shifts of the compound have been calculated by means of Gauge-Invariant Atomic Orbital using B3LYP/6–311++ G** method. The partial ionic character of the carbonyl group due to resonance render a partially positive charge to the carbonyl carbon, and thus C4 chemical shift lie in the very downfield 191.6 ppm. Comparison between the experimental and the theoretical results indicates that B3LYP method is able to provide satisfactory results for predicting vibrational, electronic and NMR properties.  相似文献

A systematic quantum mechanical study of the possible conformations and vibrational spectra of 2-amino 6-bromo 3-formylchromone has been reported. The equilibrium geometry, harmonic vibrational frequencies, infrared intensities and activities of Raman scattering were calculated by Hartree–Fock and density functional theory employing Becke's three-parameter (local, non-local and HF) hybrid exchange functionals with Lee–Yang–Parr co-relational (B3LYP) functionals using 6-311++G(d,p) basis set with complete relaxation in the potential energy surface. The calculated wavenumbers after proper scaling show a very good agreement with the observed values. The electrostatic potential mapped onto isodensity surface has been obtained. The natural bond orbital analysis has been carried out in order to study the intra-molecular bonding, interactions among bonds and delocalisation of unpaired electrons. The highest occupied molecular orbital–lowest unoccupied molecular orbital studies have been conducted in order to determine the way the molecule interacts with other species.  相似文献

Fourier transform infrared and Raman spectra of nebivolol have been recorded. The structure, conformational stability, geometry optimisation, and vibrational wave numbers have been investigated. Satisfactory vibrational assignments were made for the stable conformer of the molecule using Restricted Hartree–Fock (RHF) and density functional theory (DFT) calculation (B3LYP) with the 6-31G(d,p) basis set. Comparison of the observed fundamental vibrational wave numbers of the molecule and calculated results by RHF and DFT methods indicates that B3LYP is superior for molecular vibrational problems. Comparison of the simulated spectra with the experimental spectra provides important information about the ability of the computational method to describe the vibrational modes. The RHF and DFT-based NMR calculation procedure was also done. It was used to assign the 13C NMR chemical shift of nebivolol.  相似文献

CLTOAB is an ammonium-based ionic liquid composed of ε-Caprolactam (CL) C6H11NO and tetraoctylammonium bromide (TOAB) (C32H68BrN). In this study, experimental IR and Raman spectra of CLTOAB ionic liquid together with the computational results of the compound have been reported. The optimized geometry, vibrational frequencies, IR intensities and Raman activities of the CLTOAB were calculated using the wb97xd and B3LYP density functional methods combined with the 6-31G(d,p) basis set using Gaussian 03 program. The complete assignment of the bands was performed based on the potential energy distributions (PED%). The HOMO and LUMO analysis is used to determine the charge transfer within the molecule. The Gauge-including atomic orbital 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR chemical shifts calculations were carried out and compared with the experimental data. Furthermore to evaluate interaction between CLTOAB and DNA, molecular docking study was carried out.

Vibrational frequencies and geometrical parameters of 4-piperidone (4-PID) in the ground state have been calculated by using the Hartree–Fock (HF) and density functional methods (B3LYP) with 6-311++G(d,p) and 6-311+G(3df,2p) basis sets. These methods are proposed as a tool to be applied in the structural characterisation of 4-PID (C5H9NO). The title molecule has C s point group symmetry, thus providing useful support in the interpretation of experimental IR and Raman data. The DFT-B3LYP/6-311+G(3df,2p) calculations have been found more reliable than the ab initio HF/6-311++G(d,p) calculations for the vibrational study of 4-PID. The calculated highest occupied molecular orbital and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energies show that charge transfer occurs within the molecule. The theoretical spectrograms for FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of the title molecule have been constructed.  相似文献

This study is an attempt to gain a better understanding of the physicochemical interaction between novel anticancer drugs and DNA bases. We have employed quantum chemical tools to explore the interaction of a few anticancer drugs [namely procarbazine (PR), dacarbazine (DC) and triethylenemelamine (TR)] with isolated normal (GC and AT) and mismatch (AA, CC, GG and TT) base pairs. The molecular geometries, electronic structural stability, vibrational energies, chemical reactivity and other electronic properties were studied using MP2/6-311+G**, B3LYP/6-311+G** and M05-2X/6-311+G** methods. The optimised geometries of the usual and mismatch base pairs are almost planar whereas the geometries of drug-interacting complexes deviate from planarity. The presence of steric hindrance and π-bond overlaps between C–C bonds in the complexes has distorted the planarity of the four- and five-member rings in the base pairs. Among the three drugs chosen, DC and PR bond well with normal and mismatch base pairs with large interaction energy. The electron density (ED) difference maps of the most stable GG–DC, GG–PR and GG–TR drug-interacting complexes show the information about sharing of ED and gain or loss of ED within the interacting molecules. The stabilisation energy of the charge transfer interaction between the relevant donor–acceptor orbital of GG–DC and GC–DC complexes has been found to be around 16 kcal/mol and GG–PR and GC–PR complexes has been found to be around 12 kcal/mol. But, for the GG–TR and GC–TR complexes, the stabilisation energy is found to be less than 6 kcal/mol. Moreover, the topological analysis of hydrogen bond network of DC and PR drug-interacting complexes have high electron and Laplacian density with structural stability at the bond critical points (BCPs), while compared TR drug-interacting complexes by atoms in molecules and natural bond orbital analysis. Finally, we may conclude that the drugs DC and PR are highly efficient drugs to target normal and mismatch base pair for control and inhibition of DNA replication.  相似文献

The FTIR and Laser-Raman spectra of paraldehyde have been recorded in the regions 4000–400 cm−1 and 3500–250 cm−1 respectively. Molecular electronic energy, geometrical structure, harmonic vibrational spectra, infrared intensities and Raman scattering activities have been computed at the HF/6-31G(d,p) and B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) levels of theory. The results were compared with experimental values with the help of scaling procedures. The observed wave numbers in FTIR and Laser-Raman spectra were analyzed and assigned to different normal modes of the molecule. Most of the modes have wave numbers in the expected range and are in good agreement with computed values.  相似文献

The Fourier transform Raman (FTR) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra of 2-bis (2-chloroethyl) aminoperhydro-1,3,2-oxazaphosphorinane-2-oxide were recorded in the regions 4000–100 cm? 1 and 4000–400 cm1, respectively, in the solid phase. Molecular electronic energy, geometrical structure, harmonic vibrational spectra, infrared intensities and Raman scattering activities, highest occupied molecular orbital, lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy, energy gaps and thermodynamical properties such as zero-point vibrational energies, rotational constants, entropies and dipole moment were computed at the Hartree–Fock/6-31G(d,p) and three parameter hybrid functional Lee–Yang–Parr/6-31G(d,p) levels of theory. The vibrational studies were interpreted in terms of potential energy distribution. The results were compared with experimental values with the help of scaling procedures. The observed wave number in FTIR and FTR spectra was analysed and assigned to different normal modes of the molecule. Most of the modes have wave numbers in the expected range and are in good agreement with computed values.  相似文献

The study on the conformational and vibrational behaviors of sulpiride molecule which is known as a neuroleptic or antipsychotic drug that is widely used clinically in the treatment of schizophrenic or depressive disorders is an important scientific and practical task. In here, a careful enough study of monomer and dimeric forms of sulpiridine {5-(aminosulfonyl)-N-[(1-ethyl-2-pyrrolidinyl) ethyl]-2-methoxy-benzamide (C15H23N3O4S)} is undertaken by density functional theory (DFTB3LYP) method with the B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) basis set. The conformations of free molecule were searched by means of torsion potential energy surfaces scan studies through dihedral angles D1 (8?N, 18C, 20C, 23?N), D2 (18C, 20C, 23?N, 25C) and D3 (28C, 30C, 41S, 44?N) in electronically ground state, employing 6-31G basic set. The final geometrical parameters for the obtained stable conformers were determined by means of geometry optimization, carried out at DFT/B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) theory level. Afterwards, the possible dimer forms of the molecule were formed and their energetically preferred conformations were investigated. Moreover, the effect of basis set superposition error on the structure and energy of the three energetically favourable sulpiride dimers has been determined. The optimized structural parameters of the most stable monomer and three low energy dimer forms were used in the vibrational wavenumber calculations. Raman and IR (4000–400?cm?1) spectra of sulpiride have been recorded in the solid state. The assignment of the bands was performed based on the potential energy distribution data. The natural bond orbital analysis has been performed on both monomer and dimer geometries in order to elucidate delocalization of electron density within the molecule. The predicted frontier molecular orbital energies at DFT/B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) theory level show that charge transfer occurs within the molecule. The first-order hyperpolarizability (β0) and related properties (μ and α) of the title molecule were also calculated.  相似文献

The Fourier transform Raman and infrared (IR) spectra of the Ceramide 3 (CER3) have been recorded in the regions 200–3500 cm? 1 and 680–4000 cm? 1, respectively. We have calculated the equilibrium geometry, harmonic vibrational wavenumbers, electrostatic potential surfaces, absolute Raman scattering activities and IR absorption intensities by the density functional theory with B3LYP functionals having extended basis set 6-311G. This work is undertaken to study the vibrational spectra of CER3 completely and to identify the various normal modes with better wavenumber accuracy. Good consistency is found between the calculated results and experimental data for the IR and Raman spectra.  相似文献

The title molecule 1,5-diphenylpenta-2,4-dien-1-one (cinnamylideneacetophenone, CA) has been synthesised and characterised by FTIR, FT-Raman, NMR and UV–vis spectral analyses. The possible stable conformers of the CA molecule were searched by potential energy surface scan at B3LYP level of theory. The molecular geometry from X-ray determination of the CA molecule in the ground state has been compared using the density functional theory (DFT) with 6-31G(d,p) basis set. The harmonic vibrational modes, the corresponding wavenumbers and IR and Raman intensities of most stable conformer were calculated by the DFT method. The assignments of the fundamentals were proposed on the basis of total energy distribution calculations. The calculated 13C and 1H NMR chemical shifts using gauge including atomic orbitals approach are in good agreement with the observed chemical shifts. The molecular stability and bond strength have been investigated by applying natural bond orbital analysis. Using the time-dependent DFT method, the electronic absorption spectrum of the title compound has been predicted and the electronic transitions within the molecule have been interpreted. The molecular electrostatic potential map was used for predicting possible hydrogen and oxygen bonding sites in the CA molecule.  相似文献

The structure, electron density distribution, energetic and electrostatic properties of simple nitramine based energetic TMA, DMNA, MDA and TNA molecules were determined using density functional theory (B3LYP) with the 6-311G** and aug-cc-pVDZ basis sets coupled with Bader's theory of atoms in molecules. In the NO2 group substituted molecules, the N–N bond distance increases with the increase of NO2 groups, whereas in C–N bonds, this effect is relatively less, and the distances are almost equal. The topological analysis of electron density reveals that the electron density ρbcp(r) of C–N and N–N bonds are significantly decreasing with the increase of NO2 groups in the nitramine molecules. The Laplacian of electron density ▽2ρbcp(r) of N–NO2 bonds [DMNA: ? 16.7 eÅ? 5, MDA: ? 12.8 eÅ? 5 and TNA: ? 7.9 eÅ? 5] of the molecules are relatively less negative, and the values also decrease with the increase of NO2 groups; this implies that the charge concentration decreases with the increase of NO2 groups, which leads to weakening the N–N bonds of the molecules. The isosurface of molecular electrostatic potential displays high electronegative regions around the NO2 groups. The oxygen balance OB100 of the molecules increases as the number of NO2 group increases in the molecules, in which, the TNA molecule having maximum OB100 value [+7.89]. The band gap, heat of detonation, bond dissociation energy and charge imbalance are predominantly depends on the number of NO2 group present in the molecule. The charge imbalance parameter (ν) has been calculated for all molecules, which reveals that TNA is a highly sensitive molecule, the corresponding ν value is 0.047.  相似文献

3-Benzoyl-5-chlorouracil (3B5CU), a biologically active synthetic molecule, has been analysed at DFT/6-311+ + G(d,p) level and reported for the first time as a potential candidate for nonlinear optical (NLO) applications. The optimised skeleton of 3B5CU molecule is non-planar. The frontier orbital energy gap, dipole moment, polarisability and first static hyperpolarisability have been calculated. The first static hyperpolarisability is found to be almost 15 times higher than that of urea. The high value of first static hyperpolarisability (2.930 × 10? 30 e.s.u.) due to the intra-molecular charge transfer in 3B5CU has been discussed using first principles. A complete vibrational analysis of the molecule has been performed by combining the experimental Raman, FT-IR spectral data and the quantum chemical calculations. In general, a good agreement of calculated modes with the experimental ones has been obtained. The strong vibrational modes contributing towards NLO activity, involving the whole charge transfer path, have been identified and analysed.  相似文献

The absolute configurations of three synthesized anthracycline analogues have been determined using vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectroscopy and the density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The experimental VCD spectra of the three compounds have been measured for the first time in the film state, prepared from their CDCl3 solutions. Conformational searches for the monomers and some dimers of the three compounds have been performed at the DFT level using the B3LYP functional and the 6‐311G** and 6‐311++G** basis sets. The corresponding vibrational absorption and VCD spectra have been calculated. The good agreement between the experimental and the calculated spectra allows one to assign the absolute configurations of the three compounds with high confidence. In addition, the dominant conformers of the three compounds have also been identified. Chirality, 2010. © 2010 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.  相似文献

The experimental and theoretical studies on the molecular structure and vibrational spectra of bis(thiourea)zinc(II) chloride (BTZC) crystals were investigated. The Fourier transform infrared, Fourier transform Raman and UV–vis spectra of BTZC were recorded. The molecular geometry and vibrational frequencies of BTZC in the ground state were calculated by using B3LYP with LANL2DZ as basis set. Comparison of the observed structural parameters of BTZC with single-crystal X-ray studies yields a good agreement. Vibrational analysis of the simultaneous IR and Raman activation of the Zn–Cl stretching mode in the molecule provides the evidence for the charge transfer interaction taking place within the molecule. The energy and oscillator strength are calculated by time-dependent density functional theory. The simulated spectra satisfactorily coincide with the experimental spectra.  相似文献
