Three coumarins and three known mansonones were isolated from the heartwood of Mansonia gagei Drumm. The structures of the three coumarins were elucidated as 3,8-dimethyl-5-isopropyl-6-methoxycoumarin (mansonrin A) 3,8-dimethyl-5-isopropyl-6-hydroxycoumarin (mansorin B) and 2,3-dihydro-3,6,9-trimethyl naphtho[1,8-bc]pyran-7-oxa-8-one (mansorin C) by analyses of physical properties and spectroscopic data. The cytotoxicity of the isolated compounds against brine shrimp Artemia salina Linn. was also evaluated.  相似文献

A new tropone,3,8-dimethyl-5-isopropyl-2,3- dihydro(1H)azulen-6-one, named orobanone, has been isolated for the first time from a plant (Orobanche rapum-genistae, Orobanchaceae). Two new eudesmane sesquiterpenoids were isolated from the fruits of Daucus carota L. The structures were established based on the interpretation of high-resolution MS and 1D- and 2D-NMR data, the absolute configuration of compound 1 was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The new compounds were elucidated as (1βH, 3βH, 5βH, 7αH)-4α, 10α-dimethyl-7β-isopropyl-1α, 3α, 4β, 11-tetrahydroxy decahydronaphthalene (1) and (1βH, 3βH, 5βH, 7αH)-4α, 10α-dimethyl-7β-isopropyl-1α, 3α, 4β-trihydroxy decahydronaphthalene-11-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (2). The compound 1 showed significant antioxidant activity.  相似文献

Summary Bioconversion of citronellol 1 was studied with four strains of Botrytis cinerea. Using grape must predominant transformation of 1 to 2,6-dimethyl-1,8-octandiol 2 and (E)-2,6-dimethyl-2-octen-1,8-diol 3 was observed. In minor amounts 2,6-dimethyl-2,8-octandiol 4, two p-menthan-3,8-diol isomers 5a, 5b, (Z)-2,6-dimethyl-2-octen-1,8-diol 6, isopulegol 7, 2-methyl-2-hepten-6-one-1-ol 8 and 2-methyl--butyrolactone 9 were found. Using a small amount of grape must in a synthetic medium (1:700) the bioconversion products 2, 4, 5a and 5b were absent, but additionally 2-methyl-2-hepten-6-one 10, 2-methyl-2-hepten-6-ol 11 and citronellic acid 12 were detected. The results obtained were strongly dependent on the strains used; one strain did not show any metabolic activity against 1. The bioconversion products were identified by capillary gas chromatography (HRGC) and coupled HRGC techniques, i.e. on-line — mass spectrometry (HRGC-MS) and — Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (HRGC-FTIR).  相似文献

Callus cultures were established from hypocotyl explants of R. bracteosa, R. chalepensis and R. macrophylla. Calli were maintained for more than three years on MS-medium supplemented with 1 mg l-1 of each 2,4-D and kinetin. Acridone and furoquinoline alkaloids and coumarins have been isolated from four week old calli grown on a hormone containing and hormone-free medium. The induction of -amylase by exogenously supplied gibberellin A1 (GA1) and GA4 in embryoless caryopses of Hordeum vulgare (cv. Himalaya) was determined indirectly by measuring reducing sugars released from the endosperm. A study of the chemical constituents obtained from twigs of Melicope lunu-ankenda (Gaertn.) T.G. Hartley (Rutaceae) led to the isolation and structure elucidation of two new coumarins, 7-(4-hydroxy-3-methylbutanoxy) coumarin and 7-(3-methyl-4-carboxybutanoxy) coumarin methyl ester, named melilunumarin A (1) and melilunumarin B (2), respectively. A new benzaldehyde derivative, 3,4-dihydro-3,4-dihydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-2H-1-benzopyran-6-carboxaldehyde, named melilunumane (6), was also isolated and characterized, as well as five previously reported compounds, 6-deoxyhaplopinol (3), marmesin (4), umbelliferone (5), kokusaginine (7) and evolitrin (8). Among the five isolated coumarins, melilunumarin A (1), 6-deoxyhaplopinol (3) and marmesin (4) exhibited significant inhibitory activity towards Epstein-Barr virus early antigen activation induced by 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol 13-acetate in Raji cells.  相似文献

Gibberella fujikuroi (Fusarium moniliforme) is a complex group of plant pathogens. Some strains produce gibberellic acid and other gibberellins that promote growth and regulate various stages in plant development.The paper describes the research effort directed to development of genetic tools for this species. The activities of three natural coumarins, xanthotoxin and bergapten (fromAmmi majus, Umbelliferae) and psoralene (fromFicus cycomorus, Moraceae), were tested against mycelial growth and aflatoxin production of a toxigenic strain ofAspergillus flavus grown in a rice/corn steep liquor medium. Two other natural chromones, khellin and visnagin (fromAmmi visnaga) were also compared. Complete inhibition of aflatoxin release occurred with either xanthotoxin or khellin at 5 mM. The other three compounds also at 5 mM reduced aflatoxin to 12 to 16% of its original concentration. The mould growth was only slightly inhibited by all the compounds used.  相似文献

The structure of a new hydroxy terpenoid acid, 6(S)-isopropyl-3ξ-methyl-3ξ-hydroxy-9-oxo-4E-decenoic acid (1a), isolated from a solvent-extract of Turkish tobacco, was elucidated by the spectroscopic properties and chemical evidence. This compound was suggested to be derived from thunberganoid diterpenoids and be a precursor of two dienoic acids, 6(S)-sopropyl-3-methyl-9-oxo-2E,4E-decadienoic acid (3a) and 6(S)-isopropyl-3-methyl-9-oxo-2Z,4E-decadienoic acid (4a) in Turkish tobacco.  相似文献

A new isopropyl chromone ( 1 ) and a new flavanone glucoside ( 2 ) together with eleven known compounds ( 3–13 ) were isolated from the leaves of Syzygium cerasiforme (Blume) Merr. & L.M.Perry. Their structures were elucidated as 5,7-dihydroxy-2-isopropyl-6,8-dimethyl-4H-chromen-4-one ( 1 ), 5,7-dihydroxyflavanone 7-O-β-D-(6′′-O-galloylglucopyranoside) ( 2 ), strobopinin ( 3 ), demethoxymatteucinol ( 4 ), pinocembrin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside ( 5 ), (2S)-hydroxynaringenin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside ( 6 ), afzelin ( 7 ), quercetin ( 8 ), kaplanin ( 9 ), endoperoxide G3 ( 10 ), grasshopper ( 11 ), vomifoliol ( 12 ), litseagermacrane ( 13 ) by the analysis of HR-ESI-MS, NMR, and CD spectral data. Compounds 1 , 2 , 5 , 6 and 10 inhibited NO production on LPS-activated RAW264.7 cells with IC50 values of 12.28±1.15, 8.52±1.62, 7.68±0.87, 9.67±0.57, and 6.69±0.34 μM, respectively, while the IC50 values of the other compounds ranging from 33.38±0.78 to 86.51±2.98 μM, compared to that of the positive control, NG-monomethyl-L-arginine acetate (L-NMMA) with an IC50 value of 32.50±1.00 μM.  相似文献

Fusarium chlamydosporum strain T-826 isolated from corn in the USA produced chlamydosporol and two analogs which have been identified by various spectroscopic techniques as: 7,8-dihydro-5-hydroxy-4-methoxy-trans-7,8-dimethyl-2H,5H-pyrano(4,3-b)pyran-2-2-one (or isochlamydosporol) and 4-methoxy-5-hydroxymethyl-6-(3-butan-2-ol)-2H-pyran-2-one (or chlamydospordiol). Chlamydosporol (compounda+b) chlamydospordiol (compoundc) and isochlamydosporol (compoundd) were produced together (up to 6000 µg/g) by 3 out of 11 isolates ofF. chlamydosporum and by 3 out of 24 isolates ofF. tricinctum from various substrates and geographic origin. Eight polyketide compounds were isolated from the cultivation broth of Phomopsis sp. CMU-LMA. We have recently described LMA-P1, a bicyclic 10-membered macrolide, obtained as a bioconversion derivative of Sch-642305, the major compound isolated in this study. Benquinol is the ethyl ester derivative of the 13-dihydroxytetradeca-2,4,8-trienoic acid produced by Valsa ambiens. This compound is concomitantly produced with the 6,13-dihydroxytetradeca-2,4,8-trienoic acid (DHTTA) previously isolated from Mycosphaerellarubella. The absolute configuration of the new compound, (2R,3R,4S,5R)-3-hydroxy-2,4-dimethyl-5-[(S,Z)-3-methylpentenyl]-tetrahydro-pyranone LMA-P2 was confirmed by X-ray crystallography. The δ-lactone 2,3-dihydroxytetradecan-5-olide (DHTO) was previously isolated from Seiridium unicorne. This compound may form through the cyclization of the methyl-2,3,5-trihydroxytridecanoate LMA-P3, a new linear polyketide isolated in this study. Benquoine, a new 14-membered lactone generated from the cyclization of benquinol, is proposed as the key precursor for the biosynthesis of Sch-642305. Antimicrobial activity and cancer cell viability inhibition by the new compounds were investigated. Benquoine exhibits antimicrobial activity against Gram positive bacteria, and cytotoxicity against HCT-116 cancer cell line.  相似文献

Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata is the processed products of the root of Rehmannia glutinosa. It has been used as a Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years, and it has been found to possess widely pharmacological activities. In this study, three new 2,2′-difurylketone derivatives (rehmanniaeketone A–C) and two new chromones [3,8-dihydroxy-2-(2-hydroxyethyl)chromone and 3,8-dihydroxy-2-[(2-O-α-D-galactopyranosyloxy)ethyl]chromone] were isolated from the Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata. Furthermore all of the compounds were subjected to cytotoxic testing against the human lung carcinoma A549 cells. The cytotoxic results showed that rehmanniaeketone B and rehmanniaeketone C exhibited more stronger inhibition effects on the cell activity of A549 cells with the IC50 5.23 μM and 2.05 μM than other compounds. And 3,8-dihydroxy-2-(2-hydroxyethyl)chromone exhibited moderately inhibitory activity with the IC50 61 μM. Rehmanniaeketone A and 3,8-dihydroxy-2-[(2-O-α-D-galactopyranosyloxy]chromone showed no inhibitory effects.  相似文献

The germination of Amaranthus paniculatus seeds was inhibited by applying paclobutrazol, a specific inhibitor of gibberellin biosynthesis. This inhibition was markedly counteracted by gibberellin A3 (GA3), suggesting that endogenous gibberellins are required for germination in this species. The inhibitory effect of paclobutrazol was also overcome by ethephon (2-chloroethylphosphonic acid) or the precursor of ethylene biosynthesis, ACC (1-aminocyclopropane-l-carboxylic acid). Thus the physiological effect of gibberellin can be mimicked by ethylene released from ethephon or synthesised from exogenous ACC. Pseudomonas aeruginosa W51D used citronellol (3,7-dimethyl-6-octen-1-ol) as sole source of carbon and oxidized it to citronellal, citronellic acid and finally to geranic acid. A mutant derived from this strain was isolated as unable to degrade citronellol and had diminished (93%) citronellal dehydrogenase activity.  相似文献

Monoterpenes from three different members of the Anthemideae family, Artemisia tridentata ssp. vaseyana, Artemisia cana ssp. viscidula and Artemisia tridentata ssp. spiciformis were isolated and their structures determined using spectroscopic techniques. A total of 26 irregular and regular monoterpenes were identified. Among these, 20 had previously been identified in the Anthemideae family. Of the remaining six, four were known, but previously unidentified in this family. 2,2-Dimethyl-6-isopropenyl-2H-pyran, 2,3-dimethyl-6-isopropyl-4H-pyran and 2-isopropenyl-5-methylhexa-trans-3,5-diene-1-ol were isolated from both A. tridentata ssp. vaseyana and A. cana ssp. viscidula. The irregular monoterpene 2,2-dimethyl-6-isopropenyl-2H-pyran has a carbon skeleton analogous to the biologically important triterpene squalene. Two additional irregular monoterpenes, artemisia triene and trans-chrysanthemal were isolated from A. cana ssp. viscidula and lavandulol was isolated from A. tridentata ssp. spiciformis. This is the first time a compound possessing a lavandulyl-skeletal type has been found in the Anthemideae family.  相似文献
