From 2004 to 2007, blood samples from 273 healthy wild boars (Sus scrofa), culled during the hunting season, were obtained in three areas of Catalonia (NE Spain): Pyrenees, Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac Natural Park (SLM), and Ports de Tortosa i Beseit National Hunting Reserve (PTB). We investigated the presence of antibodies against classical swine fever virus (CSFV), African swine fever virus (ASFV), porcine vesicular disease virus (PVDV), porcine respiratory and reproductive syndrome virus (PRRSV), Aujeszky’s disease virus (ADV), porcine influenza A virus (PIV), porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2), porcine parvovirus (PPV), Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Salmonella spp., and Toxoplasma gondii. Four wild boars were suspicious for CSFV, but the infection was discarded with a virus neutralization test, and infection with a border disease virus was confirmed. Negative results were obtained against ASFV and PVDV. Antibodies were detected against PRRSV (3%), ADV (0.8%), PIV (6.4%), PCV2 (64.6%), PPV (54.7%), M. hyopneumoniae (26.6%), E. rhusiopathiae (5.3%), Salmonella spp. (11.3%), and T. gondii (43.5%). In SLM, we detected a higher seroprevalence for PIV and M. hyopneumoniae and a lower seroprevalence for E. rhusiopathiae than in the other two areas. In PTB, seroprevalence was higher for PPV, Salmonella spp., and PCV2. Adult wild boar displayed higher seroprevalence for PPV, PIV, and M. hyopneumoniae, whereas presence of antibodies for Salmonella spp. was higher in juveniles compared with adults and piglets.

We established an automated screening method to characterize adhesion of Escherichia coli to intestinal porcine epithelial cells (IPEC-J2) and their probiotic activity against infection by enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC). 104 intestinal E. coli isolates from domestic pigs were tested by PCR for the occurrence of virulence-associated genes, genes coding for resistances to antimicrobial agents and metals, and for phylogenetic origin by PCR. Adhesion rates and probiotic activity were examined for correlation with the presence of these genes. Finally, data were compared with those from 93 E. coli isolates from wild boars.Isolates from domestic pigs carried a broad variety of all tested genes and showed great diversity in gene patterns. Adhesions varied with a maximum of 18.3 or 24.2 mean bacteria adherence per epithelial cell after 2 or 6 hours respectively. Most isolates from domestic pigs and wild boars showed low adherence, with no correlation between adhesion/probiotic activity and E. coli genes or gene clusters. The gene sfa/foc, encoding for a subunit of F1C fimbriae did show a positive correlative association with adherence and probiotic activity; however E. coli isolates from wild boars with the sfa/foc gene showed less adhesion and probiotic activity than E. coli with the sfa/foc gene isolated from domestic pigs after 6 hour incubation.In conclusion, screening porcine E. coli for virulence associated genes genes, adhesion to intestinal epithelial cells, and probiotic activity revealed a single important adhesion factor, several probiotic candidates, and showed important differences between E. coli of domestic pigs and wild boars.  相似文献

Our understanding of the composition of Escherichia coli populations in wild boars is very limited. In order to obtain insight into the E. coli microflora of wild boars, we studied E. coli isolates from the jejunums, ileums, and colons of 21 wild boars hunted in five geographic locations in Germany. Ten isolates per section were subjected to clonal determination using pulsed-field gel electrophoresis. One representative isolate per clone was further investigated for virulence traits, phylogenetic affiliation, and antimicrobial susceptibility. Macrorestriction analysis of 620 isolates revealed a range of clone diversity among the sections and animals, with up to 9 and 16 different clones per section and animal, respectively. Most of the clones for a given animal were shared between two adjacent intestinal sections. The overall highest clonal diversity was observed within the colon. While the astA gene was present in a large number of clones, other virulence genes and hemolytic ability were detected only sporadically. Clones of all four ECOR groups dominated the intestinal sections. Phylogenetic analysis and the occurrence of virulence genes correlated with the isolation frequencies for clones. All E. coli clones from wild boars were susceptible to all antimicrobial agents tested. In conclusion, though several parameters (including an animal-specific and highly diverse E. coli clone composition, the simultaneous occurrence of single clones in two adjacent intestinal sections of a given animal, and a higher E. coli diversity in the large intestine than in the small intestine) of E. coli populations of wild boars were similar to those of previously described E. coli populations of conventionally reared domestic pigs, our data also indicate possible differences, as seen for the E. coli diversity in the large intestine, the occurrence of certain virulence genes and phylogenetic groups, and antimicrobial susceptibilities.  相似文献

Aims: To determine the presence of antibiotic‐resistant faecal Escherichia coli in populations of wild mammals in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Methods and Results: Rectal swabs or faeces collected during 2006–2008 from wild mammals were spread on MacConkey agar and MacConkey agar containing 2 mg l?1 of cefotaxime. From plates with positive growth, one isolate was recovered and identified as E. coli. Susceptibility to 12 antibiotics was tested using the disk diffusion method. Resistance genes, class 1 and 2 integrons and gene cassettes were detected in resistant isolates by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Extended‐spectrum beta‐lactamases (ESBL) were further characterized by DNA sequencing, macrorestriction profiling and determination of plasmid sizes. Plasmid DNA was subjected to EcoRV digestion, transferability by conjugation and incompatibility grouping by multiplex PCR. The prevalence of resistant isolates was 2% in small terrestrial mammals (rodents and insectivores, nE. coli = 242), 12% in wild ruminants and foxes (nE. coli = 42), while no resistant isolates were detected in brown bears (nE. coli = 16). In wild boars (Sus scrofa) (nE. coli = 290), the prevalence of resistant isolates was 6%. Class 1 and 2 integrons with various gene cassettes were recorded in resistant isolates. From wild boars, five (2%, nrectal smears = 293) multiresistant isolates producing ESBL were recovered: one isolate with blaCTX‐M‐1 + blaTEM‐1, three with blaCTX‐M‐1 and one with blaTEM‐52b. The blaCTX‐M‐1 genes were carried on approx. 90 kb IncI1 conjugative plasmids. Conclusions: Antibiotic‐resistant E. coli occured in populations of wild mammals in various prevalences. Significance and Impact of the Study: Wild mammals are reservoirs of antibiotic‐resistant E. coli including ESBL‐producing strains which were found in wild boars.  相似文献

The vector potential of the poultry red mite, Dermanyssus gallinae De Geer (Acari: Dermanyssidae), in relation to chicken erysipelas was investigated under experimental conditions. Chickens were inoculated intramuscularly with the bacterium Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, and mites were allowed to feed on the inoculated chickens for 5 days. After 20 days of starvation, the mites were allowed to feed on healthy chickens to enable transmission of bacteria. Blood samples were collected from the birds and analysed for the presence of E. rhusiopathiae, and ELISA tests were performed for seropositivity. The internal presence of E. rhusiopathiae in the mites after feeding of inoculated birds was also investigated. It could not be demonstrated that mites take up and transmit E. rhusiopathiae under the experimental conditions described. However, since there are case reports as well as other in vitro studies indicating the potential of D. gallinae to act as a reservoir and potential vector for infections agents, we cannot exclude the possibility that the red poultry mite transmits E. rhusiopathiae between chickens under field conditions.  相似文献

Serum samples collected from 437 shot wild boars (Sus scrofa) were tested for the presence of antibodies against Leptospira interrogans sensu lato in wild boar in Slovenia. Assessment of leptospira-specific antibodies was performed by microscopic agglutination test. Antibodies against at least one of the pathogenic serovars were detected in 200 (45.8%) sera. From 200 positive samples, 100 samples (50%) had positive titre against a single serovar, while 100 (50%) samples had positive titres against two or more serovars. The most frequently detected antibodies were those against serovar Tarassovi. This investigation confirmed the presence of different pathogenic serovars in wild boar across Slovenia. It can be concluded that wild boars are natural reservoirs of at least some of the leptospiral serovars that represent a potential source of leptospirosis for other wild and domestic animals, as well as for humans.  相似文献

Spatial range expansion during population colonization is characterized by demographic events that may have significant effects on the efficiency of natural selection. Population genetics suggests that genetic drift brought by small effective population size (Ne) may undermine the efficiency of selection, leading to a faster accumulation of nonsynonymous mutations. However, it is still unknown whether this effect might be balanced or even reversed by strong selective constraints. Here, we used wild boars and local domestic pigs from tropical (Vietnam) and subarctic region (Siberia) as animal model to evaluate the effects of functional constraints and genetic drift on shaping molecular evolution. The likelihood‐ratio test revealed that Siberian clade evolved significantly different from Vietnamese clades. Different datasets consistently showed that Siberian wild boars had lower Ka/Ks ratios than Vietnamese samples. The potential role of positive selection for branches with higher Ka/Ks was evaluated using branch‐site model comparison. No signal of positive selection was found for the higher Ka/Ks in Vietnamese clades, suggesting the interclade difference was mainly due to the reduction in Ka/Ks for Siberian samples. This conclusion was further confirmed by the result from a larger sample size, among which wild boars from northern Asia (subarctic and nearby region) had lower Ka/Ks than those from southern Asia (temperate and tropical region). The lower Ka/Ks might be due to either stronger functional constraints, which prevent nonsynonymous mutations from accumulating in subarctic wild boars, or larger Ne in Siberian wild boars, which can boost the efficacy of purifying selection to remove functional mutations. The latter possibility was further ruled out by the Bayesian skyline plot analysis, which revealed that historical Ne of Siberian wild boars was smaller than that of Vietnamese wild boars. Altogether, these results suggest stronger functional constraints acting on mitogenomes of subarctic wild boars, which may provide new insights into their local adaptation of cold resistance.  相似文献

Yersiniosis is strongly associated with the consumption of pork contaminated with enteropathogenic Yersinia enterocolitica, which is harbored by domestic pigs without showing clinical signs of disease. In contrast to data on Y. enterocolitica isolated from conventionally reared swine, investigations into the occurrence of Y. enterocolitica in wild boars in Germany are rare. The objectives of the study were to get knowledge about these bacteria and their occurrence in wild boars hunted in northern Germany by isolation of the bacteria from the tonsils, identification of the bioserotypes, determination of selected virulence factors, macrorestriction analysis, multilocus sequence typing (MLST), and testing of antimicrobial susceptibility. Altogether, tonsils from 17.1% of 111 tested wild boars were positive for Y. enterocolitica by culture methods. All but two isolates belonged to biotype (BT) 1A, with the majority of isolates bearing a ystB nucleotide sequence which was revealed to have 85% identity to internal regions of Y. enterocolitica heat-stable enterotoxin type B genes. The remaining Y. enterocolitica isolates were identified to be BT 1B and did not carry the virulence plasmid. However, two BT 1A isolates carried the ail gene. Macrorestriction analysis and results from MLST showed a high degree of genetic diversity of the isolates, although the region where the samples were taken was restricted to Lower Saxony, Germany, and wild boars were shot during one hunting season. In conclusion, most Y. enterocolitica isolates from wild boars investigated in this study belonged to biotype 1A. Enteropathogenic Y. enterocolitica bioserotypes 4/O:3 and 2/O:9, usually harbored by commercially raised pigs in Europe, could not be identified.  相似文献

From December 1994 to February 1995, 131 wild boars (Sus scrofa leucomysta) living in a mountainous area in Japan were examined for yersiniosis and listeriosis. Of 131 wild boars, 76 (58%) were males and 55 (42%) were females. Four Yersinia spp. including Y. pseudotuberculosis, Y. enterocolitica, Y. frederiksenii, and Y. aldovei, were isolated from 49 (37%) of 131 wild boars. Yersinia pseudotuberculosis was isolated from five (4%) of 131 wild boars. All Y. pseudotuberculosis isolates were serotype 4b and harbored virulence plasmids. Yersinia pseudotuberculosis was isolated only from boars under 2-yr-old. No human pathogenic Y. enterocolitica was isolated. Listeria monocytogenes was isolated from two (1%) of the wild boars and both isolates were serotype 4b. These findings indicated that wild boar could be a reservoir of Y. pseudotuberculosis and L. monocytogenes in Japan.  相似文献

The ingestion of undercooked meat from wild animals can be a source of Toxoplasma gondii infection in humans and other animals. In this study, we determined the seroprevalence of T. gondii infection in 175 wild boars (Sus scrofa leucomystax) and 107 wild sika deer (Cervus nippon) hunted in 2004–2007 in Gunma Prefecture, Japan, by using a commercial latex agglutination test (LAT). Antibodies (LAT, 1:64 or higher) to T. gondii were found in 6.3% of wild boars and 1.9% of sika deer. This is the first record of T. gondii infection in wild deer in Japan, and deer and wild boar meat should be cooked well before human consumption.  相似文献

Key to the success of orangutan conservation management practices is the prevention of the introduction of infectious diseases to the remaining populations. Previous reports of Entamoeba spp. positive orangutans are of concern as Entamoeba spp. infection has been linked to morbidity and mortality in primates. It remains to be determined if the Entamoeba species infecting orangutans is the pathogenic Entamoeba histolytica. Orangutan fecal samples have been collected from orangutans from sites in Sumatra (Bukit Lawang, Ketambe, and Suaq, 241 samples from 64 individuals), and two sites in Kalimantan (Sebangau and Tuanan, 129 samples from 39 individuals). All samples were from wild orangutans except for a proportion from Sumatra which were from semi-wild (108 samples, 10 individuals). E. histolytica-specific nested PCR assays were carried out on the fecal samples. A total of 36 samples from 17 individuals tested positive for E. histolytica. When compared with published sequences using NCBI BLAST the E. histolytica positive samples showed a 98–99% concordance. The majority (76%, n = 36) of the positive isolates came from semi-wild orangutans in Bukit Lawang. This study supports the growing body of evidence that contact with humans is an important risk factor for infection of wild primates with E. histolytica.  相似文献

【目的】为深入研究红斑丹毒丝菌的免疫保护性抗原及其致病机制,采用免疫蛋白组学技术鉴定红斑丹毒丝菌的免疫原性蛋白。【方法】通过SDS-PAGE电泳分离红斑丹毒丝菌C43065株的NaOH提取抗原,用兔抗NaOH提取抗原抗血清经Western blot检测免疫原性蛋白,通过MALDI-TOF质谱技术鉴定蛋白种类,并对部分免疫原性蛋白的编码基因进行克隆和测序。【结果】通过MALDI-TOF质谱技术从C43065株NaOH提取抗原中鉴定出9个免疫原性蛋白,分别为Spa A、伴侣蛋白GroEL、烯醇化酶、ATP结合盒转运蛋白、丙酮酸脱氢酶复合物E1、甘油醛-3-磷酸脱氢酶、果糖二磷酸醛缩酶、50S核糖体蛋白L1、30S核糖体蛋白S4。其中烯醇化酶、ATP结合盒转运蛋白、甘油醛-3-磷酸脱氢酶和果糖二磷酸醛缩酶已被证实与链球菌、牙龈卟啉单胞菌、脑膜炎奈瑟菌和结核分枝杆菌的致病性相关。C43065株伴侣蛋白GroEL、烯醇化酶、ATP结合盒转运蛋白、丙酮酸脱氢酶复合物E1、甘油醛-3-磷酸脱氢酶和果糖二磷酸醛缩酶编码基因大小分别为1614、1296、1260、1005和867 bp,与已公布的红斑丹毒丝菌Fujisawa株相应基因的相似度高达98%。【结论】本文所鉴定的9个免疫原性蛋白,为进一步开展红斑丹毒丝菌保护性抗原及其致病机制研究奠定基础。  相似文献

Invasive serotype 2 (cps2+) strains of Streptococcus suis cause meningitis in pigs and humans. Four case reports of S. suis meningitis in hunters suggest transmission of S. suis through the butchering of wild boars. Therefore, the objective of this study was to investigate the prevalence of potentially human-pathogenic S. suis strains in wild boars. S. suis was isolated from 92% of all tested tonsils (n = 200) from wild boars. A total of 244 S. suis isolates were genotyped using PCR assays for the detection of serotype-specific genes, the hemolysin gene sly, and the virulence-associated genes mrp and epf. The prevalence of the cps2+ genotype among strains from wild boars was comparable to that of control strains from domestic pig carriers. Ninety-five percent of the cps2+ wild boar strains were positive for mrp, sly, and epf*, the large variant of epf. Interestingly, epf* was significantly more frequently detected in cps2+ strains from wild boars than in those from domestic pigs; epf* is also typically found in European S. suis isolates from humans, including a meningitis isolate from a German hunter. These results suggest that at least 10% of wild boars in Northwestern Germany carry S. suis strains that are potentially virulent in humans. Additional amplified fragment length polymorphism analysis supported this hypothesis, since homogeneous clustering of the epf* mrp+ sly+ cps2+ strains from wild boars with invasive human and porcine strains was observed.  相似文献

The population structure of Magnaporthe oryzae from green foxtail (Setaria viridis) in Japan was examined by DNA fingerprint analyses using the transposable elements MGR586 and MAGGY as probes. Fifteen M. oryzae isolates from green foxtail were collected from 11 Japanese prefectures so that a macrogeographic population of this pathogen is represented. All the 15 isolates were sorted into distinct haplotypes by DNA fingerprint analyses with both probes. Furthermore, similarities between the DNA fingerprint profiles of the 15 isolates were exclusively low; i.e., if lineages are arbitrarily established based on greater than 70% similarities in isolates, the 15 isolates could be categorized into 13 distinct lineages by DNA fingerprinting with both probes. We also examined the MGR586 DNA fingerprint variations of this pathogen in 9 microgeographic populations each of which contained 20 to 24 isolates collected from a 1 m2 or 50 m2 area. In all the 9 populations, more than 2 haplotypes, which shared less than 70% similarities, were identified in the DNA fingerprint profiles. These results suggested that M. oryzae isolates from the green foxtail in Japan possessed a complex lineage structure, even at the microgeographic scale.  相似文献

The presence ofGeotrichum candidum citrus race, the citrus sour rot pathogen, was examined in soils of citrus groves and non-citrus fields of Japan. Soil samples were collected from 223 sites (118 sites in citrus groves, and 105 sites in fields cultivated with 33 species of non-citrus plants and in evergreen broad-leaved forest) in 11 main citrus-growing prefectures, and Hokkaido, a non-citrus-growing area. Of 236 soil samples from citrus groves, 95.76% containedG. candidum citrus race and 0.42% contained the non-citrus race; while of 210 samples from non-citrus fields, 62.85% and 4.76% contained the citrus race and the non-citrus race respectively. All of the citrus race isolates obtained either from citrus groves or non-citrus fields were pathogenic on lemon (Citrus limon) and satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu), but some of these isolates failed to infect orange (Citrus sinensis). The non-citrus races were pathogenic on ripe tomato fruit (Lycopersicon esculentum) and ripe muskmelon fruit (Cucumis melo var.reticulatus). Results indicated that citrus sour rot pathogen is widely distributed in citrus groves and non-citrus fields of diverse plant species in Japan.  相似文献

Lawsonia intracellularis, Brachyspira hyodysenteriae, and Brachyspira pilosicoli are important pathogens in domestic pig production, responsible for porcine intestinal adenomatosis, swine dysentery, and porcine intestinal spirochetosis, respectively. They are widely distributed among pig-producing units around the world, and transmission is accomplished by relatively weak immunity, long shedding intervals, sequential shedding, and actual environmental survival. Little information is available on occurrence, prevalence, and quantity of these pathogens in free-ranging wild boars. The aim of the present study was to evaluate L. intracellularis, B. hyodysenteriae, and B. pilosicoli infections in wild boars in Germany. Tissue samples from ileocaecal mucosa of 165 wild boars from 18 hunting grounds situated in 14 of the 16 federal states of Germany were examined by conventional PCR and quantified by multiplex real-time PCR. None of the wild boars did show any gross pathological signs of enteritis. The overall prevalence for L. intracellularis, B. hyodysenteriae, and B. pilosicoli was 20.6%, 2.4%, and 12.1%, respectively. None of the three agents was detected in 68.5% of the wild boars and in 11.1% of the hunting grounds. Numbers of bacteria per sample were below the limit of quantification (100 cells/PCR reaction). This is the first study on L. intracellularis and Brachyspira spp. in free-ranging wild boars. The study revealed colonised animals without signs of disease. The meaning of these findings remains unclear, and we do not know whether and to what extent these three pathogens are exchanged between wild boars and domestic pigs. Further research is needed to get insight into the epidemiological impact of the results.  相似文献

Since 2009, erysipelas infection among pigs in Japan has been increasing. This study investigated the prevalence, and characteristics of Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae isolates in Japan from 2008 to 2010 and assessed the efficacy of current commercial erysipelas vaccines. Based on polymorphisms in a 432-bp hypervariable region in the surface protective antigen A (spaA) gene, 34 isolates were classified into three groups: (i) Group 1 with methionine at position 203 (Met-203) and isoleucine at position 257 (Ile-257) (18 isolates of serotype 1a and one untypable isolate). (ii) Group 2 with Ile-257 (12 isolates of serotypes 1a, 1b, 2, 10 and 11), and (iii) Group 3 with alanine at position 195 (Ala-195) and Ile-257 (three isolates of serotype 1a). Isolates with Met-203 were highly pathogenic in mice and pigs, causing death in the pig and LD50 values of 0.45–1.45 CFU per mouse. One live and three inactivated commercial E. rhusiopathiae vaccines were evaluated for efficacy against a Met-203 isolate. Almost all mice and pigs that received vaccine survived, while non-vaccinated controls all died within 5 days of the challenge. This indicates that swine erysipelas vaccines might be still effective in protecting animals against the recently prevalent Met-203 isolates in Japan.  相似文献

We surveyed native populations of the chestnut blight fungus, Cryphonectria parasitica, in Japan and China, and C. nitschkei, a sympatric species on chestnut trees in Japan, to learn more about the diversity of hypoviruses and other double-stranded (ds) RNA viruses. In a sample of 472 isolates of C. parasitica and 45 isolates of C. nitschkei from six prefectures in Japan, we found 27 containing one or more dsRNAs. Twelve isolates of C. parasitica and two isolates of C. nitschkei were infected with Cryphonectria hypovirus 1 (CHV-1); four of these 12 C. parasitica isolates also contained other dsRNAs that did not hybridize to CHV-1. In China, only one of 85 C. parasitica isolates was CHV-1-infected; no dsRNAs were detected in the other isolates from China. No other known hypoviruses were found in this study. However, we found two previously undescribed dsRNAs in Japan approximately 9 kb in size that did not hybridize to each other or to any known dsRNAs from C. parasitica. We also found three additional groups of dsRNAs, one of which represents the genome of a new member of the virus family Chrysoviridae and was found only in C. nitschkei; the other two dsRNAs were found previously in isolates of C. parasitica from Japan or China. The most significant result of this survey is the discovery of novel dsRNAs that can be characterized in future research.  相似文献

In 2002, postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS) was diagnosed in a European female wild boar (Sus scrofa), based on the detection of porcine circovirus 2 (PCV2) DNA in various organs, including the uterus, and on histopathologic lesions. This is the first detection of PCV2 DNA in the uterus of a wild boar. Three years later (2005), a wild boar < 6-8 mo of age was found moribund. It presented wasting and dyspnea and finally died. PCV2 DNA was detected in tissue samples, and histopathologic lesions consistent with PMWS were observed. Both wild boars were from neighboring hunting areas in central Greece. Two PCV2 strains from the wild boars were genetically characterized and compared to other reported PCV2 sequences from wild boars and domestic pigs. The PCV-2 sequences from the wild boars in this study were closely related to each other and were grouped with two isolates from wild boars from Hungary. The phylogenetic analysis revealed that the virus might be transmitted between hunting areas. In addition, PCV2 may spread from domestic pigs to wild boars and vice versa.  相似文献

The Western European population of wild boar (Sus scrofa) has increased its distribution over the past several decades, and some populations have colonized areas strongly influenced by human activity. Wild boars are known carriers of antibiotic-resistant bacteria acquired from the environment, and urban populations of wild boars may be more exposed than their rural counterparts. In this work, we compared the frequency of antibiotic resistance in indicator bacteria (Escherichia coli, Enterococcus faecalis, Enterococcus faecium) isolated from urban wild boars with that from rural wild boars in NE Spain. We further assessed whether bacterial isolates from the urban wild boars had a higher probability of showing antibiotic resistance when their host was highly associated to urban features. Seventy-two and 100 bacterial isolates from urban and rural habitat, respectively, were screened for antibiotic resistance against a set of antibiotics (13 per bacterial species). We found a significantly higher frequency of E. faecium showing resistance to tetracycline (70.0% vs 36.4%) and high-level resistance to streptomycin (30.0% vs 4.5%) in urban wild boars compared to rural wild boars (p?<?0.05). E. faecalis was more frequently resistant to trimethoprim in urban than rural wild boars (33.3% vs 0.0%, p?<?0.05). In isolates from urban origin, 55.6% of the likelihood of detecting antibiotic resistance depended only on the bacterial species, being more likely in the enterococci than in E. coli. These results suggest that urban wild boars may be more exposed to certain antibiotic-resistant bacteria or antibiotic resistance genes that they may acquire from the urban environment, although implications are uncertain.  相似文献
