The aim of this study was to determine the surface doses using GafChromic EBT films and compare them with plane-parallel ionization chamber measurements for 6 and 18 MV high energy photon beams. The measurements were made in a water equivalent solid phantom in the build-up region of the 6 and 18 MV photon beams at 100 cm SSD for various field sizes. Markus type plane-parallel ion chamber with fixed-separation between collecting electrodes was used to measure the percent depth doses. GafChromic EBT film measurements were performed both on the phantom surface and maximum dose depth at the same geometry with ion chamber measurements. The surface doses found using GafChromic EBT film were 15%, 20%, 29%and 39% ± 2% (1SD) for 6 MV photons, 6%, 11%, 23% and 32% ± 2% (1SD) for 18 MV photons at 5, 10, 20 and 30 cm2 field sizes, respectively. GafChromic EBT film provides precise measurements for surface dose in the high energy photons. Agreement between film and plane-parallel chamber measurements was found to be within ±3% for 18 MV photon beams. There was 5% overestimate on the surface doses when compared with the plane-parallel chamber measurements for all field sizes in the 6 MV photon beams.  相似文献

Simultaneous carbon and nitrogen removal using loop configuration microbial fuel cell (MFC) with relatively large size of 5 L was investigated in this study. Four MFC reactors were constructed with a loop configuration to eliminate the pH gradient, and the reactor performance was examined with different separators and cathode materials. The performance of the reactors in terms of electricity generation and contaminant removal rate was examined. Results showed that a maximum power density of 1415.6 mW/m3 (The empty bed volume of anode chamber) was obtained at a current density of 3258.5 mA/m3 with cation exchange membrane as separator and graphite felt (Pt coated) as cathode using the piggery wastewater as feed, and the organic removal rate obtained was approximately 0.523 kg COD/m3/d (total anode chamber) with nitrogen removal rate of 0.194 kg N/m3/d (total cathode chamber).  相似文献

IntroductionNanochambers present some advantages in terms of energy independence and absolute dose measurement for small field dosimetry in the SBRT scenario. Characterization of a micro-chamber prototype was carried out both under flattened and flattening-filter-free (FFF) beams with particular focus on stem effect.MethodsThe study included characterization of leakage and stem effects, dose rate and dose per pulse dependence, measurement of profiles, and percentage depth doses (PDDs). Ion collection efficiency and polarity effects were measured and evaluated against field size and dose per pulse. The 6_MV, 6_MV_FFF and 10_MV FFF beams of a Varian EDGE were used. Output factors were measured for field sizes ranging from 0.8 × 0.8 cm2 to 20 × 20 cm2 and were compared with other detectors.ResultsThe 2 mm diameter of this chamber guarantees a high spatial resolution with low penumbra values. In orthogonal configuration a strong stem (and cable) effect was observed for small fields. Dose rate and dose per pulse dependence were <0.3% and 0.6% respectively for the whole range of considered values. The Nanochamber exhibits a field size (FS) dependence of the polarity correction >2%. The OF values were compared with other small field detectors showing a good agreement for field sizes >2 × 2 cm2. The large field over-response was corrected applying kpol(FS).ConclusionsNanochamber is an interesting option for small field measurements. The spherical shape of the active volume is an advantage in terms of reduced angular dependence. An interesting feature of the Nanochamber is its beam quality independence and, as a future development, the possibility to use it for small field absolute dosimetry.  相似文献

Biological control is a promising approach to protecting plants from disease. Bacillus subtilis has been widely used in agriculture for promoting plant growth and biocontrol. However, their short shelf life limits the application of biological pesticides. The objectives of this study were to develop a microencapsulation procedure of B. subtilis B99-2 using maltodextrin and gum arabic as wall materials to determine the optimum conditions of spray-drying in microencapsulation, evaluate storage stability of microcapsules, and assess their biocontrol efficiency against Rhizoctonia solani in tomato under field conditions. We microencapsulated the Bacillus thallus by spray-drying with various concentrations of the wall material. Maltodextrin was found to be an efficient wall material, especially at concentrations higher than 80%, while gum arabic did not affect the bacterial survival rate. The mean survival rate of B. subtilis was more than 90%, when spray drying was performed at 145 °C, with a feed flow rate of 550 mL h−1, and a spray pressure of 0.15 MPa. B. subtilis microcapsule survival rate was 87.53% after 540 d of storage, which was a longer shelf life than that of wettable powders. Moreover, its biocontrol efficacy reached 79.91% when a dosage of 300 g hm−2 was used, the microcapsule showed higher control efficacy than Thiram wettable powder against R. solani in tomato under field conditions. All these characteristics indicated that B. subtilis microcapsules have the potential to become a successful biocontrol product.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to evaluate and compare broadleaved cattail (Typha latifolia L.) biomass production and the nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) content in phytomass in three treatment wetland systems and to propose suitable areas for treatment wetlands in Estonia for raw material production. The biomass samples (roots/rhizomes, shoots with leaves and spadixes) and litter were collected from 1 m × 1 m plots—15 plots in the Tänassilma semi-natural wetland, 15 plots in the Põltsamaa free water surface (FWS) constructed wetland (CW), and 10 plots in the Häädemeeste FWS CW. The average aboveground biomass of T. latifolia varied from 0.37 to 1.76 kg DW m?2 in autumn and from 0.33 to 1.38 kg DW m?2 in winter. The greatest average nitrogen (22,950 mg N kg?1) concentration was found in spadixes in 2002, and the phosphorus (6500 mg P kg?1) concentration was measured in roots–rhizomes in 2003. Average standing stock of nitrogen and phosphorus was higher in aboveground than belowground phytomass. In FWS CWs with high hydraulic and nutrient loadings, however, the harvesting of aboveground biomass is not an effective means for the removal of nutrients. Cattail biomass is a valuable insulation material, whereas the fibre from spadixes mixed with clay gives elasticity to clay plasters. According to our estimates, about 5412 km2 could be used for Typha cultivation in Estonia.  相似文献

Voluntary moderate deep inspiration breath hold (vmDIBH) in left-sided breast cancer radiotherapy reduces cardiac dose. The aim of this study was to investigate heart position variability in vmDIBH using CBCT and to compare this variability with differences in heart position between vmDIBH and free breathing (FB).For 50 patients initial heart position with respect to the field edge (HP-FE) was measured on a vmDIBH planning CT scan. Breath-hold was monitored using an in-house developed vertical plastic stick. On pre-treatment CBCT scans, heart position variability with respect to the field edge (ΔHP-FE) was measured, reflecting heart position variability when using an offline correction protocol. After registering the CBCT scan to the planning CT, heart position variability with respect to the chest wall (ΔHP-CW) was measured, reflecting heart position variability when using an online correction protocol. As a control group, vmDIBH and FB computed tomography (CT) scans were acquired for 30 patients and registering both scans on the chest wall. For 34 out of 50 patients, the average HP-FE and HP-CW increased over the treatment course in comparison to the planning CT. Averaged over all patients and all treatment fractions, the ΔHP-FE and the ΔHP-CW was 0.8 ± 4.2 mm (range −9.4–+10.6 mm) and 1.0 ± 4.4 mm (range −8.3–+10.4 mm) respectively. The average gain in heart to chest wall distance was 11.8 ± 4.6 mm when using vmDIBH instead of FB. In conclusion, substantial variability in heart position using vmDIBH was observed during the treatment course.  相似文献

Two experiments were conducted to investigate the degradation of cell-wall sugars from soya bean meal (in situ), and soya bean endosperm and hulls (in vitro). Soya bean meal, soya bean endosperm, and soya bean hulls were extracted with different chemicals to obtain the cell-wall fraction. Soya bean meal cell walls were incubated in the rumen of a fistulated cow. The individual cell-wall sugars were degraded at different rates: galactose (13.6% h−1), arabinose (7.8% h−1), uronic acids (5.1% h−1), xylose (3.5% h−1) and glucose (3.2% h−1). Microscopic evaluation of the cell walls and degraded material revealed the presence of two cell wall types, with distinctly different degradation characteristics: one originating from the hull (thick, slowly degraded) and one from the endosperm (thin, rapidly degraded). Furthermore, the cell-wall sugar composition of endosperm and hull cell walls was different, most markedly for galactose (281 vs. 12 g kg−1) and glucose (132 vs. 508 g kg−1). The degradation of endosperm and hull cell walls was measured in vitro by use of in vitro cumulative gas production. Degradation rates of the individual cell-wall sugars for hull cell walls were similar (ranging from 2.4% to 4.6% h−1). For endosperm cell walls, the degradation rates of the individual sugars were different but with the same ranking as in the in situ experiment (ranging from 20.9% to 7.0% h−1). It was concluded that for soya bean meal cell walls, the cell-wall sugar degradation pattern is influenced by the presence of two cell-wall types (hull and endosperm cell-wall), which differ in their rate of degradation and sugar composition. The difference in cell-wall sugar degradation pattern between hull and endosperm cell walls is likely to be caused by a combined effect of particle size and cell-wall thickness.  相似文献

Water status and diffusion transport were studied in the roots of yellow lupine (Lupinus luteus L., cv. Juno) treated for 48 h with two selected concentrations of Pb(NO3)2: 150 mg l−1, which inhibited root growth by about 50% (medium stress intensity), as well as 350 mg l−1, which almost entirely suppressed root elongation (severe stress intensity). Relative water content (RWC), which characterizes the degree of root water saturation, slightly increased at the lower lead concentration and remained unchanged at the higher lead dose. Ultrastructure analyses under a transmission electron microscope revealed that plasmolysis was not evoked by lead in the apical part of the meristem. Moreover, direct observation of meristem cells using Nomarsky optics indicated enhanced vacuolization in the presence of both lead concentrations. These data suggest that the water status of the roots was not affected by the metal. Due to the fact that proline is involved in the maintenance of turgor in the cells, the metabolism of this amino acid was investigated. In the roots, the activity of enzymes involved in proline synthesis, such as pyrroline-5-carboxylate synthetase (P5CS) and ornithine aminotransferase (OAT), increased at 150 mg l−1 Pb2+; nevertheless, proline content was diminished at the lower lead concentration. This effect is likely the result of proline degradation by proline dehydrogenase (PDH), since the activity of this enzyme increased at the lower lead dose. On the other hand, in the presence of 350 mg l−1 Pb2+, a low level of proline was correlated with a decrease in the activity of P5CS and OAT, as well as unchanged PDH activity in lupine roots. These data may imply that enzymatic synthesis of proline was strongly damaged by the metal ions. The low level of proline in both experimental variants suggests that proline accumulation is inessential to maintaining the osmotic uptake of water into root cells. NMR spectroscopy showed that exposition of lupine seedlings to lead caused a deceleration in water transport in the roots due to a reduction in the water transfer rate across the membranes (transmembrane transfer) and vacuoles continuum, as well as water diffusion along the root apoplast. Fluorescence staining and immunogold labeling showed the presence of callose strands in cell walls and/or in the vicinity of them. In lead-treated lupine roots, callose was mainly localized in the parenchyma cortex placed lengthwise to the vascular cylinder. Callose deposits in the cell walls may reduce vacuolar transport, as well as increase cell wall resistance to water flow. Deceleration of diffusional water movement to the vascular system, may in turn, influence the rate of long-distance water transport to aerial parts of the plant.  相似文献

In the event of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) rupture, the outcome is often death. This paper aims to experimentally identify the rupture locations of in vitro AAA models and validate these rupture sites using finite element analysis (FEA). Silicone rubber AAA models were manufactured using two different materials (Sylgard 160 and Sylgard 170, Dow Corning) and imaged using computed tomography (CT). Experimental models were inflated until rupture with high speed photography used to capture the site of rupture. 3D reconstructions from CT scans and subsequent FEA of these models enabled the wall stress and wall thickness to be determined for each of the geometries. Experimental models ruptured at regions of inflection, not at regions of maximum diameter. Rupture pressures (mean±SD) for the Sylgard 160 and Sylgard 170 models were 650.6±195.1 mmHg and 410.7±159.9 mmHg, respectively. Computational models accurately predicted the locations of rupture. Peak wall stress for the Sylgard 160 and Sylgard 170 models was 2.15±0.26 MPa at an internal pressure of 650 mmHg and 1.69±0.38 MPa at an internal pressure of 410 mmHg, respectively. Mean wall thickness of all models was 2.19±0.40 mm, with a mean wall thickness at the location of rupture of 1.85±0.33 and 1.71±0.29 mm for the Sylgard 160 and Sylgard 170 materials, respectively. Rupture occurred at the location of peak stress in 80% (16/20) of cases and at high stress regions but not peak stress in 10% (2/20) of cases. 10% (2/20) of models had defects in the AAA wall which moved the rupture location away from regions of elevated stress. The results presented may further contribute to the understanding of AAA biomechanics and ultimately AAA rupture prediction.  相似文献

The range of vertebrates that serve as intermediate hosts for parasites in the genus Sarcocystis remains incompletely defined. Here, we provide the first report of infections in treeshrews, describe the morphology of encysted parasites using light and transmission electron microscopy, and place this agent within a phylogenetic context by sequencing and comparing its 18 S ribosomal DNA to that of related parasites. Muscle infections were diagnosed in four of 45 wild treeshrews captured in the vicinity of Kunming, Yunnan Province, Mainland China. Thread-like cysts (10.773 ± 2.411 mm in length, 0.106 ± 0.009 mm in width) had walls (0.538–0.746 µm thick) that lacked perpendicular protrusions. The interior of the cyst was packed full with cyst merozoites, the shape of which was typical of Sarcocystis. The primary cyst wall consisted of a thin membrane supported by osmiophilic material, 31–60 nm in thickness. The ground substance was about 105–526 nm thickness. Cysts conformed to typical of ‘type 1’ sarcocysts. Freshly examined and frozen specimens did not differ in their cyst wall structure, however, the appearance of bradyzoites did differ: the conoid, rhoptries and micronemes were all visible in fresh bradyzoites; in stored bradyzoites, by contrast, the rhoptries appeared smaller, and although the conoid was visible, the micronemes were not. 18 S rRNA gene was distinct from any previously reported sequence in GenBank. Their genetic and morphological uniformity suggest that these parasites, derived from treeshrews, represent a single biological species, Sarcocystis tupaia, sp. nov.  相似文献

Even though the spermatozoa of several strepsipteran species were described earlier, no data were available for the basal family Mengenillidae. Well-fixed material of the recently described Tunisian species Mengenilla moldrzyki was used for a detailed examination of the sperm ultrastructure. The total length is c. 30 μm. The head region contains a conical acrosome vesicle (0.3-0.35 μm) and an elongated nucleus (7.3 μm) with dense chromatin. Some granular material along with a uniformely dense centriole adjunct and two mitochondrial derivatives are visible at the posterior end of the nucleus. The material of the centriole adjunct does not extend along the flagellum and accessory bodies are absent. The mitochondrial derivatives are elongated structures crossed by a longitudinal crista but lacking parallel transverse cristae and paracrystalline material in the dense matrix. The mitochondrial derivatives gradually reduce their size and end at the most posterior tail region. The flagellar axoneme has a 9 + 9 + 2 pattern and originates beneath the nucleus. In the terminal tail region the axoneme gradually disintegrates. Despite the extreme specialization of the endoparasitc group, strepsipteran spermatozoa are mostly characterized by plesiomorphies. The pattern within the order is largely uniform, but Mengenilla displays several apomorphic features compared to the presumptive strepsipteran groundplan (e.g., absence of crystallizations and cristae in the mitochondrial derivatives). The subdivision of the intertubular material into two compartments with a dense beak-like structure adhering to the tubular wall supports a clade Coleopterida (=Strepsiptera + Coleoptera) + Neuropterida.  相似文献

The cellular compartmentation of heavy metals was analyzed using mulberry leaves, in which CaCO3-forming idioblasts are situated in the epidermal layer. Germinated mulberry seedlings were grown on hydroponic culture medium containing strontium (Sr), zinc (Zn), and cadmium (Cd) with and without supplemental calcium (Ca). After ten weeks of growth, toxic effects of these metals were assessed by measuring shoot length and chlorophyll content of leaves. Sr and Cd treatment at a higher dose (4 mM for Sr, 25 μM for Cd) resulted in signs of toxicity, whereas no distinct phytotoxicity was observed at 500 μM Zn. Elemental mapping of leaves using an energy-dispersive X-ray microanalysis system fitted to variable-pressure scanning electron microscope showed that Sr and Zn were preferentially accumulated in the idioblasts and Cd was not detected in any type of leaf cell. The deposition site of Sr was confined to cell wall sacs developing in idioblasts. The Sr sink capacity in leaves was more than 30 mg/g dry weight, which equaled the Ca sink capacity. Exposure of Sr + Ca led to the co-localization of Sr and Ca in the same cell wall sac, in which Ca and Sr deposition were each estimated to be 60–80 ng. The localization site of Zn was cell walls of a dome-shaped protrusion (cap) of idioblasts, together with silicon (Si) originating as a contaminant in tap water used for culturing. Mulberry idioblasts were unique in showing metal-dependent distribution to two subcellular sites (cell wall sac and cap region) of idioblasts. In conclusion, mulberry plant is a candidate for phytoremediation of radiostrontium because of their Sr-hyperaccumulating capacity with sufficient leaf biomass production.  相似文献

Thinning removes a fraction of trees within a stand and as a result, forest fungi faces threats, such as habitat loss and fragmentation. After thinning, a reduction in sporocarp production of small and isolated fungal populations may be particularly worrisome from a conservation perspective. A clavarioid fungus, Scytinopogon sp., was sensitive to thinning and provided an ideal model to investigate how the fungus reproduces in nature and how the population copes with constantly changing environments. Here, we investigated its genetic variations by RAPD and monitored its population dynamics for 7 year. Results of DNA fingerprinting shows that Scytinopogon sp. population consists of numerous small and short-lived genets, which suggested that sexual reproduction and recombination are common and important for Scytinopogon sp. population. The Scytinopogon sp. population was declined after thinning and started to increase and recover in the third year after thinning. Genetic differentiation in Scytinopogon sp. was observed after thinning. The recovered subpopulation in thinned plots showed similar RAPD patterns as the subpopulations from nearby plots of other treatments in the same year. That suggested recovery of the basidiomata is established by the basidiospores recruited from the adjacent un-thinned area and 25% thinned plots, while the original subpopulations went locally extinct in heavily thinned plots. To conserve rare fungal species, reduction of disturbance, conservation of habitat and protection of the minimum viable population have to be considered during forest management.  相似文献

Irradiating a tumor bed with boost dose after whole breast irradiation helps reducing the probability of local recurrence. However, the success of electron beam treatment with a small area aiming to cover a superficial lesion is a dual challenge as it requires an adequate dosimetry beside a double check for dose coverage with an estimation of various combined uncertainty of tumor location and losing lateral electron equilibrium within small field dimensions.Aim of workthis work aims to measure the electron beam fluence within different field dimensions and the deviation from measurement performed in standard square electron applicator beam flatness and symmetry, then to calculate the average range of the correction factor required to overcome the loss of lateral electron equilibrium.Material and methodthe electron beam used in this work generated from the linear accelerator model ELEKTA Precise and dosimetry system used were a pair of PTW Pin Point ion chambers for electron beam dosimetry at standard conditions and assessment of beam quality at a reference depth of measurement, with an automatic water phantom, then a Roos ion chamber was used for absolute dose measurement, and PTW 2Darray to investigate the beam fluence of four applicators 6, 10, 14 and 20 cm2 and 4 rectangular cutouts 6 × 14, 8 × 14, 6 × 17 and 8 × 17 cm2, the second part was clinical application which was performed in a precise treatment planning system and examined boost dose after whole breast irradiation.Resultsrevealed that lower energy (6MeV and 8MeV) showed the loss of lateral electron equilibrium and deviation from measurements of a standard applicator more than the high energy (15 MeV) which indicated that the treatment of superficial dose with 6MeV required higher monitor unit to allow for the loss of lateral electron equilibrium and higher margin as well.  相似文献

The fundamental dosimetric characteristics of commercially available metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor (MOSFET) detectors were studied for clinical electron beam irradiations. MOSFET showed excellent linearity against doses measured using an ion chamber in the dose range of 20–630 cGy. MOSFET reproducibility is better at high doses compared to low doses. The output factors measured with the MOSFET were within ±3% when compared with those measured with a parallel plate chamber. From 4 to 12 MeV, MOSFETs showed a large angular dependence in the tilt directions and less in the axial directions. MOSFETs do not show any dose-rate dependence between 100 and 600 MU/min. However, MOSFETs have shown under-response when the dose per pulse of the beam is decreased. No measurable effect in MOSFET response was observed in the temperature range of 23–40 °C. The energy dependence of a MOSFET dosimeter was within ±3.0% for 6–18 MeV electron beams and 5.5% for 4 MeV ones. This study shows that MOSFET detectors are suitable for dosimetry of electron beams in the energy range of 4–18 MeV.  相似文献

Changes occurring to plant cell walls were examined following inoculation of Arabidopsis leaves with pathogenic and non-pathogenic (hrpA mutant) strains of Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato. We have targeted low molecular weight, cross-linked phenolic and indolic compounds that were released from wall preparations by alkaline hydrolysis at 70 °C and in a microwave bomb. Significantly higher concentrations of syringaldehyde, p hydroxybenzaldehyde and indole carboxylic acid were recovered from cell walls isolated from leaves 24 h after challenge with the hrpA mutant compared with wild-type DC3000. Time course experiments showed that the accumulation of indole carboxylic acid and the other group of differentiating metabolites had occurred within 12 h of inoculation. The callose synthase deficient mutant pmr4-1 was more resistant than wild-type Columbia plants to P. syringae pv. tomato. Restricted bacterial multiplication was associated with increased accumulation of indole carboxylic acid on the plant cell wall. In the absence of callose deposition in the pmr 4-1 mutant, indolic derivatives may serve as a structural scaffold for wall modifications following bacterial challenge.  相似文献

Mould-colonized water damaged building materials are frequently co-colonized by actinomycetes. Here, we report the results of the analyses of Actinobacteria on different wall materials from water damaged buildings obtained by both cultivation-dependent and cultivation-independent methods. Actinobacteria were detected in all but one of the investigated materials by both methods. The detected concentrations of Actinobacteria ranged between 1.8 × 104 and 7.6 × 107 CFU g?1 of investigated material. A total of 265 isolates from 17 materials could be assigned to 31 different genera of the class Actinobacteria on the basis of 16S rRNA gene sequence analyses. On the basis of the cultivation-independent approach, 16S rRNA gene inserts of 800 clones (50%) were assigned to 47 different genera. Representatives of the genera Streptomyces, Amycolatopsis, Nocardiopsis, Saccharopolyspora, Promicromonospora, and Pseudonocardia were found most frequently. The results derived from both methods indicated a high abundance and variety of Actinobacteria in water damaged buildings. Four bioaerosol samples were investigated by the cultivation-based approach in order to compare the communities of Actinobacteria in building material and associated air samples. A comparison of the detected genera of bioaerosol samples with those directly obtained from material samples resulted in a congruent finding of 9 of the overall 35 detected genera (25%), whereas four genera were only detected in bioaerosol samples.  相似文献

Most fungal growth is localized to the tips of hyphae, however, early stages of spore germination and the growth of certain morphological mutant strains exhibit non-polarized expansion. We used atomic force microscopy (AFM) to document changes in Aspergillus nidulans wall surfaces during non-polarized growth: spore germination, and growth in a strain containing the hypA1 temperature sensitive morphogenesis defect. We compared wall surface structures of both wild-type and mutant A. nidulans following growth at 28 ° and 42 °C, the latter being the restrictive temperature for hypA1. There was no appreciable difference in surface ultrastructure between wild-type and hypA1 spores, or hyphal walls grown at 28 °C. When dry mature A. nidulans conidia were wetted they lost their hydrophobin coat, indicating an intermediate stage between dormancy and swelling. The surface structure of hypA1 germlings grown at 42 °C was less organized than wild-type hyphae grown under the same conditions, and had a larger range of subunit sizes. AFM images of hyphal wall surface changes following a shift in growth temperature from restrictive (42 °C) to permissive (28 °C), showed a gradient of sizes for wall surface features similar to the trend observed for wild-type cells at branch points. Changes associated with the hyphal wall structure for A. nidulans hypA1 offer insight into the events associated with fungal germination, and wall remodelling.  相似文献

This work assesses the impact of the use of chicken manure and irrigation water on the toxicological quality of Solanum macrocarpon, a highly appreciated vegetable. A control site in Glo-Djigbé, gardeners’ sites at Houéyiho, Fidjrossè, and Agongbomey were included in the study. Lead has been sought in the environment of S. macrocarpon culture by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). Regarding the content of lead in the droppings, the averages in mg/kg varied between 0.696 and 3.618. The soil of Houéyiho (46.320 ± 0.651 mg/kg) was more contaminated with lead than that of the other sites. The irrigation water used in the study sites was slightly contaminated with lead with values ranging between 0.038 and 0.017 mg/L. Leaves taken from the control site, Glo-Djigbé were contaminated with lead with a value of 0.936 ± 0.070 mg/kg compared to those of Agongbomey, Houéyiho and Fidjrossè. The leaves of S. macrocarpon were contaminated with lead at significantly values higher than those imposed by the FAO (0.1 mg/kg). Consumption without precautions could expose people to diseases related to the accumulation of this metal.  相似文献
