A new species of Ptilomymar (Hymenoptera,Mymaridae) and a key to the described species

Ptilomymar dianensis sp. n. (Hymenoptera, Mymaridae) from southwest China is described and illustrated. A key to the six described species is given. The type specimens are deposited in the insect collections of Northeast Forestry University, China.     

Two new species and one new record species of Rhopus (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae) from China,with a key to Chinese species

Rhopus antennalis sp. nov. and R. qingdaoensis sp. nov. are described as new to science and R. nigroclavatus (Ashmead, 1902) is first recorded from China. A key to all the known Chinese species of the genus also presented.     

Some British species of Anagrus (Hymenoptera: Mymaridae)

Five species of Anagrus , egg parasites of various leafhopper species (Delphacidae and Cicadellidae, Honioptera), were bred for 3–13 generations in laboratory conditions. Biological and niorphological characteristics as well as attempts at crossbreeding were used to recognise the species Anagrus ensijer Debauche and four new. species. A. ensifer occurred in two varieties. The four new species and the two varieties of A. ensifer are described, and a key is given to both sexes.     

The genus Dicopus Enock (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Mymaridae) in India with description of two new species

The Indian species of Dicopus Enock are reviewed and illustrated. Two species are described as new: D. kamrani sp. nov., D. obesus sp. nov. Dicopus noyesi Manickavasagam is recorded from Karnataka. A key to Indian species is provided.

对中国翠金小蜂属Tritneptis Girault,1908进行了分类研究,共记述3种,包括1新种:类乌齐翠金小蜂Tritneptis riwoqensis JiaoXiao sp.nov.。提供了形态描述、分布和形态特征图,以及该属中国纪录种的分种检索表。研究标本保存于中国科学院动物研究所动物标本馆。     

First record of Eubroncus (Hymenoptera,Mymaridae) from China,with description of three new species

The genus Eubroncus Yoshimoto, Kozlov & Trjapitzin is first recorded from China, and three species, E. hani sp. n., E. tibetanus sp. n. and E. vertexus sp. n. are described as new. A key to the six described species is given, with photomicrographs to illustrate morphological characters.     

A new genus of praying mantis,Chlorocalis n. gen., with two new species from the Greater Mekong region (Mantodea: Mantidae)

A new genus of praying mantis is described, Chlorocalis n. gen., with two species, C. maternaschulzei n. sp. and C. prasina n. sp. from the Greater Mekong Region. Chlorocalis is placed in Mantidae and can be immediately recognized by the presence of dark brown (male) or yellow-whitish (female) oblique stripes on the forewings, a large conical bulge on the clypeus, two large conical bulges on either side of the inferior margin of the lower frons, and the male genitalia with two distal processes on the ventral phallomere. Chlorocalis maternaschulzei is a widespread lowland species with records as west as Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand, and as east as mount Núi Chúa in southern Central Vietnam. We consider this species to be of Least Concern. In contrast, C. prasina is a narrow-range mountain endemic of the Vietnamese Central Highlands in the Annamite range and is assessed by us to be Vulnerable. The new findings demonstrate the still very poor knowledge on praying mantis species diversity in South-East Asia and the urgency to resolve this taxonomic deficiency in the face of biodiversity loss.     

玉米叶蝉缨翅缨小蜂Anagrus dmitrievi(膜翅目,缨小蜂科)DNA条形码研究

[目的]玉米叶蝉缨翅缨小蜂Anagrus dmitrievi Triapitsyn&Hu是玉米三点斑叶蝉Zyginidia eremita Zachvatkin卵期的重要寄生性天敌,在玉米三点斑叶蝉生物防治中具有广阔的应用前景.由于该寄生蜂个体微小,通过传统昆虫分类方法难以将其与同类卵寄生蜂准确分类.因此,本研究旨在为玉米叶蝉缨翅缨小蜂的快速准确鉴定提供技术支持.[方法]在室内,采集玉米三点斑叶蝉卯饲养玉米叶蝉缨翅缨小蜂至成虫.根据玉米叶蝉缨翅缨小蜂成虫的体色、触角、翅等形态特征对标本进行鉴定,并利用无损伤法提取样本基因组DNA,通过PCR扩增和测序对COⅠ和ITS2基因进行DNA条形码分子标记试验.[结果]形态学鉴定结果表明饲养获得的寄生蜂标本为玉米叶蝉缨翅缨小蜂.获得了该寄生蜂COⅠ和ITS2的部分序列,相似比对、遗传距离和分子进化树结果表明,玉米叶蝉缨翅缨小蜂COⅠ和ITS2序列分别与NCBI数据库中的同属其他种的相关基因有较高相似性,但存在一定遗传差异,可明显区分.[结论]获得的玉米缨翅缨小蜂的COⅠ和ITS2基因序列可作为玉米叶蝉缨翅缨小蜂的DNA条形码,为后续该寄生蜂的快速准确鉴定提供了分子数据.     

Egg parasitoids (Hymenoptera: Mymaridae and Trichogrammatidae) of okra leafhopper,Amrasca biguttula (Ishida) (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae), in southern Japan

The okra leafhopper, Amrasca (Sundapteryx) biguttula (Ishida) (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae), is an economically important pest of okra, Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench (Malvaceae), in Japan. During 2019 and 2022 surveys for its egg parasitoids (Hymenoptera) were conducted on Kyushu and Ryukyu islands in southern Japan. Five species of Mymaridae, Anagrus (Anagrus)?atomus (L.), A. (A.) japonicus Sahad, A. (A.) turpanicus Triapitsyn and Hu, Arescon enocki (Subba Rao and Kaur), and Stethynium empoascae Subba Rao, as well as one of Trichogrammatidae, Pseudoligosita nephotetticum (Mani), were recorded from eggs of A. biguttula on okra in Japan. Of these, A. (A.) turpanicus, identified using a combination of molecular and morphological methods, is newly recorded from Japan; A. (A.)?atomus, A. (A.) turpanicus and P. nephotetticum are for the first time reported from eggs of okra leafhopper.     

An illustrated key to Neotropical species of the genus Meteorus Haliday (Hymenoptera,Braconidae, Euphorinae)

A comprehensive key for 75 species of Meteorus distributed across 15 Neotropical countries is presented. Eleven new species from Bolivia, Costa Rica and Ecuador are described: Meteorus albistigma, Meteorus carolae, Meteorus eurysaccavorus, Meteorus fallacavus, Meteorus flavistigma, Meteorus haimowitzi, Meteorus magnoculus, Meteorus martinezi, Meteorus microcavus, Meteorus noctuivorus and Meteorus orion. Expanded range distributions are recorded for Meteorus andreae, Meteorus farallonensis, Meteorus guineverae, Meteorus jerodi, Meteorus kraussi, Meteorus papiliovorus and Meteorus quimbayensis. The host of Meteorus jerodi is reported for the first time: a noctuid larva feeding on Asteraceae. Meteorus papiliovorus is recorded attacking Papilionidae larvae in Ecuador, therefore displaying a similar host family preference as formerly documented from Costa Rica and Colombia.     

Two new species of Myrmecolacidae (Strepsiptera) with first record of the genus Stichotrema Hofeneder from India

Two new species of the family Myrmecolacidae, Myrmecolax comparilis n. sp. and Stichotrema sagax n. sp., are described from West Bengal, India. Myrmecolax comparilis is the third species of that genus described from India while Stichotrema sagax is the first record of that genus for this country.     

Notes on the genus Ismarus Haliday (Hymenoptera, Diapriidae) from China

The Chinese species of the genus Ismarus Haliday, 1835, are revised for the first time. Three new species from the Oriental region of China and belonging to Ismarus halidayi-group are described and illustrated: Ismarus longussp. n., Ismarus nigritrochantersp. n. and Ismarus parvicellussp. n. Two species are newly reported for the Chinese fauna: Ismarus dorsiger (Haliday, 1831) and Ismarus halidayi Foerster, 1850. A key to the Chinese species of the genus is provided. The type specimens are deposited in the Hymenopteran Collection of South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou (SCAU).     

Description of Ortheziolamameti tranfagliai new species (Hemiptera,Coccoidea, Ortheziidae) from India

This paper describes a new Ortheziolamameti species from the Oriental region (India), namely Ortheziolamameti tranfagliai Konczné Benedicty, sp. n. The examined material was extracted from forest litter from India, using Berlese funnels. With this new species the genus Ortheziolamameti now includes six species. An identification key and distribution map are provided.     

The genus Arhaconotus Belokobylskij (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Doryctinae) from China, with description of a new species

The genus Arhaconotus Belokobylskij (Hymenoptera: Braconidae, Doryctinae) is recorded for the first time from China. A new species of this genus, Arhaconotus hainanensis Tang & Chen, sp. n., is described and illustrated. A key to the species of this genus is updated to include the new species.
