SenwotWharton 1983, is a small braconid genus with only two previously described species. The genus is revised using morphological characters and a phylogenetic analysis of COI sequence. Senwot Wharton is reported for the first time from Thailand and two new species: Senwot yinxianggaoae Yao n. sp. and Senwot jiyuanyaoi Yao n. sp. are described and illustrated. A key to species of the genus Senwot is presented.www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:D7E79499-491E-4845-991B-0FE763A45162  相似文献

ABSTRACT

This is the first systematic treatment of the Diplommatinidae of Timor-Leste, the country that encompasses the eastern part of the island of Timor. Three diplommatinid species in two genera were recorded from the western part of the island in previous systematic literature. Based on 28 samples collected between 2010 and 2012 throughout Timor-Leste, we describe five additional species (Diplommatina atauroensis n. sp., Palaina ainaro n. sp., Palaina orelimo n. sp., Palaina tuba n. sp., and Palaina brandontrani n. sp.), raising the number of diplommatinid species on the island to eight. Two species previously described from West Timor (Diplommatina fluminis B. Rensch, 1931 and Palaina mutis Greke, 2017) were also recorded in Timor-Leste; both appear to be more widespread, the former also occurring on the neighbouring island of Sumba and possibly also on Flores, Bali and Java. However, all newly described species are known only from their type localities, all of which are on exposed limestone. They are deemed to be narrow range endemics that probably do not occur outside Timor-Leste.

The genus Bothynogria Borchmann, 1915 is reviewed, with a key to all known seven species provided in the present paper. A new species Bothynogria nigripennis sp. n., and two new record species for China, Bothynogria bicolor (Kollar et Redtenbacher, 1848) and Bothynogria meghalayana Merkl, 1990, are identified and redescribed. The habitus, male antennae and aedeagus are photographed and presented for all known species except for Bothynogria bhutanica. Ecological information and intraspecific variations are also provided for Bothynogria calcarata.www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:5D8BFBCD-73AF-4AD4-94DE-3F24ECE31C1D.  相似文献

The species Naarda postpallida de Joannis, 1929 is reported for the first time from mainland China. Naarda pectinata Sugi, 1982 is synonymised with N. postpallida on the basis of material from Vietnam. This species can immediately be recognised by its dark grey forewing, white hindwing and several genital characters. The female genitalia of N. postpallida, together with those of N. lingualis Tóth and Ronkay, 2015 are presented for the first time. Naarda macrostigma sp. n. is described. The hitherto known nine Chinese Naarda species are listed. With nineteen figures.www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:092AE905-08AA-4818-BDA8-2B9EF150793A  相似文献

Diplecogaster umutturali sp. n. is described from five specimens, ranging from 9.5 to 26.9 mm in standard length. This clingfish is known to occur only at three localities along the northern Levant coasts, eastern Mediterranean Sea and is the third known species of the genus Diplecogaster in the Mediterranean and Black Seas. The species is distinguished from all its congeners in having a small snout, short caudal peduncle, large eyes, short anal fin and upper attachment of gill membrane opposite the 7th-8th pectoral ray. Diplecogaster umutturali sp. n. shows a 5.3% genetic divergence from its close relative D. bimaculata at the cytochrome oxidase I locus (COI).

Five new scorpionfly species of the genus Dicerapanorpa Zhong and Hua, 2013 are described and illustrated from Yunnan Province, China. Dicerapanorpa macula sp. n. can be readily recognized by all branches of paramere parallel, basal and mesal branches extending well beyond basal process of gonostylus in male, and posterior arm of medigynium short and stout in female. Dicerapanorpa deqenensis sp. n. is characterized by basal branch of paramere as long as lateral branch and ventral valve of aedeagus nearly reaching apex of gonocoxite in male, and medigynium with paired auricular lateral processes in female. Dicerapanorpa tanae sp. n. is unique by genital bulb broad and spherical, basal branch of paramere short, and lateral branches curved convergently and parallel apically in male, and main plate of medigynium rounded in female. Dicerapanorpa tenuis sp. n. is distinguishable by hypovalve with largely expanded and inward curved apex and all branches of paramere reaching or exceeding apex of gonocoxite in male, and medigynium slender in female. Dicerapanorpa zhongdianensis sp. n. is characterized by basal branches of paramere parallel and mesal branches curved convergently in male, and main plate of medigynium subtriangular with a pair of auricular lateral processes in female. The species number of Dicerapanorpa is increased to thirteen.LSID: www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:A4490511-C475-4C5B-9E89-4BF4EBAA2137  相似文献

Two new black fly species, Simulium (Simulium) pothigaiense sp. n. and Simulium (Simulium) valparaiense sp. n., are described based on females, males, pupae and larvae. Simulium (Simulium) pothigaiense sp. n. is characterized by a claw simple without subbasal tooth and the base of radial vein with hair tuft in the females, maxillary palp with small sensory vesicle in the males, pupal gill with 10 short slender filaments and very short common basal stalk in the pupae and 5 hypostomal bristles per side lying parallel to lateral margin in the larvae. Simulium (Simulium) valparaiense sp. n. is characterized by hind basitarsus 6.6 times as long as its greatest width and claw with small distinct subbasal tooth in the females, gonostyle in medial view 2.3 times longer than coxite in the males, common basal stalk of pupal gill 0.31 times as long as interspiracular trunk, and larval thoracic and abdominal cuticle with pair of dorsolateral protuberances. Taxonomic notes are given to distinguish these two new species from closely related species. www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:7285F6BC-607D-4F76-B6EE-9CAC67CDE651  相似文献

The genus Bruggmanniella Tavares is newly discovered from Taiwan and Bruggmanniella brevipes sp. n. is described as new to science. This is the southernmost species of Bruggmanniella found in the Old World. Furthermore, the gall midge induces bud galls on Neolitsea parvigemma (Hayata) Kaneh (Lauraceae), an endemic species in Taiwan, and the plant genus Neolitsea is the third host genus of Lauraceae-associated Bruggmanniella in East Asia. The knowledge of its distribution and host information provide us to shed the light on evolutionary and biogeography issue of East Asian Bruggmanniella.www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:820320EC-17BC-4E00-A401-2DBDA3EEE9C4  相似文献

The species of the genus Hydraena Kugelann, 1794 of the Baroc River basin in the Philippine Island of Mindoro are studied taxonomically. Five species of Hydraena (Hydraenopsis) are recorded of which three new species, namely H. hinundungan sp. n., H. quirao sp. n., and H. sanvicentensis sp. n., are described. Their genital characters are illustrated by line drawings. Photographs of their habitus and type localities, and a map of the collection sites are provided. Their habitat requirements are briefly discussed and their potential usefulness as bioindicators is deduced. The paper is based on a student thesis and intended as a first step towards the review of the entire hydraenid beetle fauna of Mindoro.
