利用电镜扫描技术,观察东北桤木叶片表面,发现其远轴面表皮上具有盾状腺毛。其由2个基细胞、4个柄细胞和20~25个头部细胞组成,随着分泌物质的积累,细胞逐渐破裂。幼叶远轴面表皮无盾状腺毛,仅有气孔分布。观察东北桤木叶片横切面,发现其为异面叶,远轴面表皮上的盾状腺毛细胞与叶脉维管组织相连。外文资料显示用于表述桤木属表皮上的盾状腺毛的名词较多,该毛状体应为“Peltate glandular hairs”。同时建议对“Glandular scales”、“Peltate gland”、“Peltate scale”、“Peltate glandular hairs”等名词进行规范统一。另外有关东北桤木叶表皮上毛状体从原表皮细胞的发生过程及其分泌物的成份,需进一步研究。  相似文献

Mangrove taxa, apart from their morphological characters, have some unique leaf anatomical features which are very much related to their adaptation as the plants grow in unstable, variable and saline environments with regular tidal influence. Special stomatal structures with extended cuticles render the transpiration rate in many taxa. The presence of glandular and non-glandular hairs on the abaxial and/or adaxial leaf surfaces in some taxa are related to salt secretion of these plants. Comparatively large amounts of water storage tissues occur in the hypodermal or mesophyll tissue of the leaves, reflecting the adaptive nature of mangroves in their stressful habitat. The occurrence of terminal tracheids helps with capillary water storage within the leaf. The coriaceous nature of the leaves in some taxa is due to the presence of sclereids within the mesophyll region. It is noted thatHeritiera is unsuitable to the highly saline habitat of the Sundarbans forest region because of some anatomical peculiarities.  相似文献

Low-magnification photographs of glabrous upper surfaces using white light show that no matter whether the visual appearance is shiny or matte, the outer cuticles are specularly reflective. In all cases, the individual epidermal cells are seen as bright spots of reflected light, due to their convex outer surfaces. This shows that at least some of the apparently diffuse reflection from leaves is specularly reflected from the outer surface. Quantitative data were obtained for both upper and lower surfaces of a variety of leaves, using light of 632.8 nm incident at 60° from the normal. Light departing the leaf was detected in two directions: normal to the leaf (“diffuse”), and at 60° (“specular”), and compared with the reflection from a standard white block. By this criterion, some leaves were quite shiny, confirming the visual impression, but others were not. In only two cases did the “diffuse” reflection exceed the “specular” (as would be expected from a true diffuse reflector); these were leaves with thick coatings of hairs. Less than 10% of the incident light is reflected by the cuticle of a glabrous leaf.  相似文献

对取自不同季节的榉树(Zelkova schneideriana hand.-Mazz.)叶的解剖构造和叶肉细胞超微结构进行了观察。榉树叶表面被密集锥状单细胞毛,幼叶则还有头状腺毛。气孔多分布在叶下表面,为不规则型。上表皮细胞外壁具有明显的角质层加厚,局部上表皮由2层细胞组成。叶肉细胞分化为栅栏组织和海绵组织;栅栏组织1—2层细胞;海绵组织发达,常与气孔相连。叶肉有含晶细胞存在。叶脉的维管束鞘明显,是厚壁细胞。成熟叶肉细胞细胞器丰富,有8-9个周壁叶绿体,为巨大的长椭圆形,基粒片层清晰,有淀粉粒,少量脂滴。叶片开始转变颜色时,叶绿体由长椭圆形变得趋于圆形;基粒片层逐渐变得杂乱至模糊不清;脂滴数目增多。秋季叶色不同的榉树叶片解剖构造存在一定差异。  相似文献

Aims Mangrove species are classified as true mangroves and mangrove associates. However, as for some fringe species found mainly on the landward transitional zones of mangroves, no consensus among scientists could be reached in favor of this classification and much debate arises. We hypothesized that true mangroves differ from mangrove associates physiologically and ecologically in their ability to survive in mangrove environment.Methods To test this hypothesis, leaf structural traits and osmotic properties were used to describe variation in 33 mangrove species (17 true mangroves, 6 mangrove associates and 10 controversial species).Important findings Specific leaf area (SLA) of true mangroves as well as leaf nitrogen concentration on a leaf mass (Nmass) were lower than that of mangrove associates; leaf succulence was, in general, twice as high in true mangroves compared to mangrove associates; true mangroves accumulated 8–9 times more Na and Cl than mangrove associates and the former had K/Na ratios <0.5, but the latter had K/Na ratios>0.5. These results indicated that true mangroves differed reliably from mangrove associates in leaf traits and osmotic properties. True mangroves are true halophytes and mangrove associates are glycophytes with certain salt tolerance. Combining distribution pattern information, the 10 controversial species were reclassified.  相似文献

The leaf of C. dioneaefolia is composed of two pairs of lobes, each pair resembling a trap of the carnivorous plant Dionaea. The anatomy of the leaf was studied to examine the possibility that this species, like Dionaea , is carnivorous. Neither glandular structures, nor trigger hairs could be found, and it was concluded that C. dioneaefolia is non-carnivorous. The leaf of C. dioneaefolia is dorsiventral. The inner surface of each leaf lobe is covered with a thick cuticle with numerous anomocytic stomata. The stomata seem to be functional, not occluded. The outer surface of each leaf lobe is covered with a thin cuticle and has no stomata. The mesophyll is of the conjugate type, with papillae both in the pallisade and in the spongy mesophyll cells. The conductive system is developed to only a limited extent.  相似文献

Ficus carica L., a typical plant of the Mediterranean environment, presents leaves covered by an extensive indumentum, and a mesophyll full of solid inclusions. The morphology and ultrastructure of the trichomes, calcium carbonate cystoliths and silicified structures of leaves of F. carica cv Dottato were investigated with light, confocal, scanning electron microscopy, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. At the same time, histochemical reactions were also employed to analyse the indumentum composed by glandular and non-glandular trichomes by applying chemical reagents and fluorescence microscopy. Non-glandular and glandular trichomes, capitate, are described. Non-glandular trichomes are unicellular simple, spine-like and present different morphology and sizes. The capitate glandular trichomes are present on leaf adaxial and abaxial surface and consist of one-celled stalk and 3/4 cells spherical head. Histochemical characterisation of leaf hairs revealed the presence of flavonoids, while glandular trichome head cells showed a complex mixture of alkaloids, essential oil and flavonoids. Cu and Al were found in the constitutive structures, spike and dome, of the cystoliths. Several epidermal cells and non-glandular trichomes were silicified. Leaf hairs, trichomes secretions, solid inclusions and silicification of F. carica leaf have significant roles to play in relation to leaf protection from external factors, including high-intensity radiation, herbivores or pathogens.  相似文献

本文研究了我国荒漠15种不同类型植物的解剖结构。结果表明,超旱生和旱生植物具有典型的旱生结构,尤以超旱生植物明显,例如沙冬青、梭梭。 旱生结构的基本特征是:叶片及角质层厚,具表皮毛、腺毛、瘤状或乳状突起,气孔下陷,栅栏组织及贮水组织发达,构成等面叶及肉质叶,具含晶细胞和粘液细胞;维管束鞘、维管束帽及纤维细胞的存在,增强了植株的坚固性。中生植物叶片及角质层较薄:气孔平置或拱起,栅栏组织及海绵组织同等发育,胞间隙大,为背腹叶,这是典型的中生结构。  相似文献

Four-year-old seedlings ofQuercus petraea (Matt.) Liebl. andNothofagus procera (Poepp. et Endl.) Querst were grown outdoors in pots while subjected to full, medium and low irradiances. Shading and decrease in height of leaf attachment generally increased specific leaf area, the diameters of chloroplasts and of palisade and spongy mesophyll cells, but decreased leaf thickness, number of palisade cell layers, length of palisade and spongy mesophyll cells, number of chloroplasts per mesophyll cell and epidermal cell and cuticle thickness, stomata and hair densities per unit leaf area, hair length, maximum hair breath and cell wall thickness in the two species. However, inN. procera grown under full irradiance, leaves at the upper and middle positions had hairs on both upper and lower epidermes, whereas those in other treatments and all leaves in all treatments inQ. petraea, had theirs only on the upper epidermis.  相似文献

Comparative leaf anatomy of Salix species and hybrids   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Epidermal features, mesophyll differentiation and calcium oxalate characteristics of 19 species and 12 hybrids of Salix are described. The species and hybrids can be distinguished by the presence or absence of the following epidermal features: striated cuticle; stomata; covering trichomes; beaded anticlinal walls, and diosmin-like njstals. In or near marginal teeth, glandular trichomes are present in all cases. The leaf veins of all specimens examined have calcium oxalate prism sheaths and, with the exception of S. herbacea , cluster crystals in some cells of the mesophyll. Most sprcies studied in the subgenus Salix show: both adaxial and abaxial stomata; striated cuticle metopllyll of palisade cells, with little or no spongy mesophyll, but with a well-defined hypodermis, and absence of thick-walled, sinuous trichomes. Characteristic features of the subgenus Caprisalix are: abaxial stomata only; epidermal crystals; smooth cuticle; mesophyll diflerentiated into palisade cells and spongy mesophyll and without a hypodermis, and trichomes more numerous and varied than those of the subgenus Salix . Leaves of the two species of the subgenus Chaemelia examined and those of S. lapponum , have predominantly anomocytic stomata, whereas all the other leaves studied have predominantly paracytic stomata. The anatomical features described, in conjunction with the morphologiral characters, enable the species and hybrids of Salix studied to be autheenticated.  相似文献

Background and Aims: Recent studies have shown that small structures on plant surfacesserve ecological functions such as resistance against herbivores.The morphology, distribution, chemical composition and changesduring shoot and leaf development of such small structures wereexamined on Paulownia tomentosa. Methods: The morphology and distribution of the structures were studiedunder light microscopy, and their chemical composition was analysedusing thin-layer chromatography and high-performance liquidchromatography. To further investigate the function of thesestructures, several simple field experiments and observationswere also conducted. Key Results: Three types of small structures on P. tomentosa were investigated:bowl-shaped organs, glandular hairs and dendritic trichomes.The bowl-shaped organs were densely aggregated on the leavesnear flower buds and were determined to be extrafloral nectarines(EFNs) that secrete sugar and attract ants. Nectar productionof these organs was increased by artificial damage to the leaves,suggesting an anti-herbivore function through symbiosis withants. Glandular hairs were found on the surfaces of young and/orreproductive organs. Glandular hairs on leaves, stems and flowerssecreted mucilage containing glycerides and trapped small insects.Secretions from glandular hairs on flowers and immature fruitscontained flavonoids, which may provide protection against someherbivores. Yellow dendritic trichomes on the adaxial side ofleaves also contained flavonoids identical to those secretedby the glandular hairs on fruits and flowers. Three specialtypes of leaves, which differed from the standard leaves inshape, size and identity of small structures, developed nearyoung shoot tips or young flower buds. The density of smallstructures on these leaf types was higher than on standard leaves,suggesting that these leaf types may be specialized to protectyoung leaves or reproductive organs. Changes in the small structuresduring leaf development suggested that leaves of P. tomentosaare primarily protected by glandular hairs and dendritic trichomesat young stages and by the EFNs at mature stages. Conclusions: The results indicate that P. tomentosa protects young and/orreproductive organs from herbivores through the distributionand allocation of small structures, the nature of which dependson the developmental stage of leaves and shoots.  相似文献

The course of development of the glandular and non-glandular hairs of Avicennia marina was found to be the same up to the three-celled stage. The further cell divisions of the two types of developing hairs differed in their orientation. In the non-glandular hair the cells continued to divide transversely, whereas in the glandular hair the uppermost of the three cells divided longitudinally.
In the mature hairs of both types, the peripheral wall of the cell just above the basal cell was heavily cutinized. The existence of narrow canals in the cuticle of the secretory cells of the glandular hairs was confirmed. The homology of the glandular and non-glandular hairs is discussed and it is concluded that the two types are phylogenetically related.  相似文献

利用光学显微镜和扫描电子显微镜技术,对臭椿(Ailanthus altissima(Mill.)Swingle)叶片从叶芽到成熟叶4个发育阶段(叶芽、幼叶、近成熟叶和成熟叶)的4种叶表面结构(表皮毛、气孔器、角质层、腺体)进行了详细地观察和比较。结果显示:叶片上、下表面具单细胞非腺毛和头状腺毛两种表皮毛,其密度在叶芽阶段最大,之后随着叶片的生长和展开表皮毛密度逐渐降低;气孔器主要分布于下表面,叶片近成熟时气孔器密度最大;角质层具有条纹状结构,其隆起程度在近成熟叶阶段达到最大;叶片基部两侧具锯齿状突起,每个突起上有一个腺体,腺体发育成熟后可分泌透明黏液。说明叶片表面各结构特征是臭椿对环境长期适应的结果。  相似文献

Mangrove species are broadly classified as ‘true mangroves’ and ‘mangrove associates’. We hypothesized that the leaf litter decomposition rates of true mangroves differ significantly from the mangrove associates under the same ecological and bio-climatic conditions. In order to test this hypothesis, the leaf litter decay rates of 24 true mangrove species and 10 mangrove associates along with the concomitant carbon and nitrogen dynamics of the litters were studied in the tropical mangrove forest of Sundarban by means of litter bags. The decomposition was monitored for six consecutive weeks in the pre-monsoon, monsoon and post-monsoon season. All the species in general went through a rapid decay phase in the first 2 weeks, however, the rate substantially decreased in the following 4 weeks. Most of the species studied had significant seasonal variability (p < 0.05) in the decay rate. Species-specific decay was highest throughout the monsoon and least during the post-monsoon season. The mean dry weight composition (i.e. percentage of dry weight of the leaf litters remaining at the end of weekly intervals) of the true mangroves was 10–12 % higher than the mangrove associates throughout the sampling period. The mean decay constants (K in week?1) of the true mangroves were 0.15 ± 0.05, 0.20 ± 0.06 and 0.16 ± 0.05 in the pre-monsoon, monsoon and post-monsoon season respectively. The mangrove associates had significantly higher decay constants in the respective seasons that followed the order 0.23 ± 0.09, 0.25 ± 0.06 and 0.24 ± 0.09. As a consequence, the computed mean half-life period of the true mangrove litters (32 ± 11 days) was much higher than the mangrove associates (23 ± 11 days). This showed that collectively the leaf litters of mangrove associates degraded at a much faster rate than the true mangroves throughout the annual cycle and thus our hypothesis was justified.  相似文献

Vegetative anatomical features are poorly known in the South American genus Chrysolaena. In this study, leaves and stems of six Chrysolaena species were described and compared morphologically and anatomically using diaphanization, microtome serial sectioning and scanning electron microscopy. The species differed in leaf epidermis, type of stomata, shape of anticlinal walls of epidermal cells, trichome density, and presence or absence in stems of small air spaces in the cortical parenchyma and of druse‐shaped oxalate crystals. Furthermore, glandular trichomes and three types of non‐glandular trichomes with different number of basal cells were identified on leaves and stems. Collectively, these features proved instrumental to discriminate among the six studied species, suggesting that leaves and stems of Chrysolaena can represent a source for taxonomically useful characters. We also discuss anatomical features in relation to the environmental conditions in the species’ habitats.  相似文献

采用石蜡切片法对分布于祁连山海拔5 000 m左右流石滩上菊科风毛菊属水母雪兔子(Saussurea medusa Maxim)、鼠曲雪兔子(Saussurea gnaphalodes (Royle) Sch.)、红叶雪兔子(Saussurea paxiana Diels.)3种植物叶片的解剖结构进行了比较研究,结果表明:叶片表皮细胞均为单层,上下表皮都有气孔分布,气孔不下陷;角质层较厚,叶表面均被单列细胞的表皮毛。3种植物均为异面叶;叶肉栅栏组织较发达,通常由2~3层细胞组成,但栅栏组织细胞排列较疏松;海绵组织存在大量的细胞间隙;叶肉中通气组织发达,且均有不规则裂生性气腔。叶脉维管束中韧皮部都具有异细胞存在。这些共同特征是3种植物对高山地区缺氧、低温、强辐射等自然条件长期适应的结果。但是,3种植物在叶片的外部形态特征、叶肉栅栏组织细胞的特点、维管束发育程度、内分泌结构、不规则裂生气腔等方面又存在明显的不同,表现出3种植物对环境的适应也是存在差异的。  相似文献

When a pepper cultivar (Capsicum chinense cv. Seychelles-2, Sy-2) native to the Seychelles was grown in Japan, all seedlings showed seasonal developmental abnormalities such as development of abnormally shaped leaves. Other pepper cultivars grew well in all seasons while the growth of cv. Sy-2 was stunted. In this study, we first examined the effects of various changes in temperature and photoperiod on the cv. Sy-2 phenotype. The results showed that temperatures lower than 24°C led to the formation of abnormal leaves. Second, morphological and anatomical analyses of cotyledons and true leaves developed at 28 and 20°C were conducted. The narrower and thicker cotyledons developed at 20°C had fewer palisade cells in the leaf-length direction, and more cells in the leaf-thickness direction. True leaves developed at 20°C were irregularly shaped, thicker and had smaller leaf area. In addition, true leaves developed at 20°C had fewer palisade cells in the leaf-length and leaf-width directions and had more cells in the leaf-thickness direction. Furthermore, abnormal periclinal cell divisions in the mesophyll and/or epidermal cell layers were observed during leaf blade development at 20°C. These results suggest that the observed changes in cell proliferation and abnormal periclinal cell divisions were related, at least in part, to abnormal leaf development of cv. Sy-2 at temperatures below 24°C.  相似文献

采用常规石蜡切片法及扫描电镜技术对木香薷(Elsholtzia stauntoni Benth)腺毛发生发育及其规律进行了研究。结果表明:木香薷表皮上主要有两种表皮毛:无分泌细胞的表皮毛与有分泌细胞的腺毛。前者包括单细胞乳头状毛、2~3细胞管状毛、分枝状毛及多细胞管状毛;后者包括头状腺毛与盾状腺毛。成熟头状腺毛头部由1、2或4个分泌细胞构成,头部呈圆球形或半圆球形;成熟盾状腺毛头部由8~12个分泌细胞构成,分泌细胞横向扩展形成盾状头部。木香薷腺毛主要在茎端幼叶处大量发生,从茎端第一对幼叶处开始产生;从幼叶期到成熟期均有腺毛发生,大部分腺毛在幼叶期发生发育,只有极少部分在叶的成熟期进行发生发育。  相似文献

Mangrove forests are ecosystems made up of several woody plants living in saline coastal sedimentary habitats. In order to deal with the high salinity of the substrate, mangrove trees possess a number of different mechanisms to exclude, sequestrate or excrete the excess of salt. The black mangrove (Avicennia germinans L.), one of the dominant species in Central America, is characterized by high levels of salt excretion through epidermal glands. In this study, our aim was to examine whether, apart from its obvious role in salt tolerance, the formation of salt crystals on the upper leaf surface of black mangrove might represent an unusual and dynamic photoprotection mechanism. For this purpose, the reflection of light and a number of physiological parameters were studied during the dry and rainy seasons in black mangroves growing in the Juan Venado Island Nature Reserve (Nicaragua). Excreted salt increased the reflectance of the leaf surface mainly in the blue and red regions of the spectrum. By removing salt crust from the leaf surface, we demonstrated that during the most stressful periods (dry season at noon), this feature allowed leaves to maintain a higher photochemical efficiency and a lower leaf temperature as compared to uncovered leaves. Furthermore, this mechanism is fully reversible when conditions become more favorable, as salt crystals dissolve, forming drops. Thus, while being a detoxification mechanism developed mainly to avoid osmotic imbalance in the tissues, the excretion of salt through the leaves in black mangroves is an example of “exaptation”, as it has positive collateral effects on the photosynthetic performance of the plant, protecting A. germinans from overheating and photodamage during the harsher periods.  相似文献

对羽叶薰衣草(LavandulapinnataL.)茎和叶上两种表皮毛(腺毛和非腺毛)发育的解剖学观察表明,两者的发生都源于茎或叶的原表皮细胞,但外部形态、发育过程及功能明显不同。腺毛有头状腺毛和盾状腺毛两种类型,均由1个基细胞、1个柄细胞和头部细胞构成。头状腺毛的头部只有1个或2个分泌细胞,盾状腺毛由8个分泌细胞构成头部。非腺毛由3-20个细胞组成,可分为三种类型:单列不分枝、二叉分枝和三叉及三叉以上多分枝的树状分枝。非腺毛的顶部细胞由基部到顶部逐渐变细,先端成尖形。腺毛发育由原表皮细胞经两次平周分裂形成,由于柄细胞和头部细胞所处的分化状态不同而发育成两类腺毛。非腺毛由非腺毛原始细胞经二次或多次平周分裂和不均等分裂,再发育成数个至二十多个子细胞。  相似文献
