DNA barcoding involves the use of one or more short, standardized DNA fragments for the rapid identification of species. A 648‐bp segment near the 5′ terminus of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene has been adopted as the universal DNA barcode for members of the animal kingdom, but its utility in mushrooms is complicated by the frequent occurrence of large introns. As a consequence, ITS has been adopted as the standard DNA barcode marker for mushrooms despite several shortcomings. This study employed newly designed primers coupled with cDNA analysis to examine COI sequence diversity in six species of Pleurotus and compared these results with those for ITS. The ability of the COI gene to discriminate six species of Pleurotus, the commonly cultivated oyster mushroom, was examined by analysis of cDNA. The amplification success, sequence variation within and among species, and the ability to design effective primers was tested. We compared ITS sequences to their COI cDNA counterparts for all isolates. ITS discriminated between all six species, but some sequence results were uninterpretable, because of length variation among ITS copies. By comparison, a complete COI sequences were recovered from all but three individuals of Pleurotus giganteus where only the 5′ region was obtained. The COI sequences permitted the resolution of all species when partial data was excluded for P. giganteus. Our results suggest that COI can be a useful barcode marker for mushrooms when cDNA analysis is adopted, permitting identifications in cases where ITS cannot be recovered or where it offers higher resolution when fresh tissue is. The suitability of this approach remains to be confirmed for other mushrooms.  相似文献

We investigated the taxonomic status of two sympatric morphospecies of squat lobsters from southern South America (Beagle Channel, Strait of Magellan, and Burdwood Bank), Munida gregaria and Munida subrugosa , by DNA sequence analysis of three mitochondrial (mt)DNA gene fragments [416 bp of 16S rDNA(165), 566 bp of cytochrome c oxidase subunit I(COI) and 418 bp of NADH dehydrogenase subunit 1 (ND1)]; and the nuclear rDNA internal transcribed spacer (ITS) 1 (883–952 bp). We obtained a total of 79 sequences from 32 individuals. The 16S sequences of all M. gregaria and M. subrugosa were invariant and identical, whereas COI and ND1 showed 12 and 15 variable sites, respectively. These polymorphisms were shared between morphospecies. Interspecific Tamura–Nei distances for COI and ND1 sequences were 0.0024 and 0.0032, respectively, and were not significantly different from intraspecific distances (Kruskal–Wallis tests: P  = 0.58 and P  = 0.69, for COI and ND1, respectively). Similar to the results obtained from the mtDNA sequences, no relationship was found between the ITS1 maximum parsimony tree topology and the morphologic classification of specimens in M. gregaria and M. subrugosa . We conclude that M. gregaria and M. subrugosa from southern South America may either represent a case of a dimorphic species, or a case of incomplete lineage sorting. DNA barcoding is a molecular method that rapidly identifies an individual to a known taxon or its closest relative based on a 650-bp fragment of the cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI). In this study, DNA barcodes of members of the family Accipitridae, including Haliastur indus (brahminy kite), Haliaeetus leucogaster (white-bellied sea eagle), Ichthyophaga ichthyaetus (grey-headed fish eagle), Spilornis holospilus (crested serpent-eagle), Spizaetus philippensis (Philippine hawk-eagle), and Pithecophaga jefferyi (Philippine eagle), are reported for the first time. All individuals sampled are kept at the Philippine Eagle Center in Davao City, Philippines. Basic local alignment search tool results demonstrated that the COI sequences for these species were unique. The COI gene trees constructed using the maximum-likelihood and neighbour-joining (NJ) methods supported the monophyly of the booted eagles of the Aquilinae and the sea eagles of the Haliaeetinae but not the kites of the Milvinae.  相似文献

Unlike distinct species, closely related species offer a great challenge for phylogeny reconstruction and species identification with DNA barcoding due to their often overlapping genetic variation. We tested a sibling species group of pine moth pests in China with a standard cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene and two alternative internal transcribed spacer (ITS) genes (ITS1 and ITS2). Five different phylogenetic/DNA barcoding analysis methods (Maximum likelihood (ML)/Neighbor-joining (NJ), "best close match" (BCM), Minimum distance (MD), and BP-based method (BP)), representing commonly used methodology (tree-based and non-tree based) in the field, were applied to both single-gene and multiple-gene analyses. Our results demonstrated clear reciprocal species monophyly for three relatively distant related species, Dendrolimus superans, D. houi, D. kikuchii, as recovered by both single and multiple genes while the phylogenetic relationship of three closely related species, D. punctatus, D. tabulaeformis, D. spectabilis, could not be resolved with the traditional tree-building methods. Additionally, we find the standard COI barcode outperforms two nuclear ITS genes, whatever the methods used. On average, the COI barcode achieved a success rate of 94.10-97.40%, while ITS1 and ITS2 obtained a success rate of 64.70-81.60%, indicating ITS genes are less suitable for species identification in this case. We propose the use of an overall success rate of species identification that takes both sequencing success and assignation success into account, since species identification success rates with multiple-gene barcoding system were generally overestimated, especially by tree-based methods, where only successfully sequenced DNA sequences were used to construct a phylogenetic tree. Non-tree based methods, such as MD, BCM, and BP approaches, presented advantages over tree-based methods by reporting the overall success rates with statistical significance. In addition, our results indicate that the most closely related species D. punctatus, D. tabulaeformis, and D. spectabilis, may be still in the process of incomplete lineage sorting, with occasional hybridizations occurring among them.  相似文献

DNA barcoding is an approach to rapidly identify species using short, standard genetic markers. The mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I gene (COI) has been proposed as the universal barcode locus, but its utility for barcoding in mushrooms (ca. 20,000 species) has not been established. We succeeded in generating 167 partial COI sequences (~450 bp) representing ~100 morphospecies from ~650 collections of Agaricomycotina using several sets of new primers. Large introns (~1500 bp) at variable locations were detected in ~5% of the sequences we obtained. We suspect that widespread presence of large introns is responsible for our low PCR success (~30%) with this locus. We also sequenced the nuclear internal transcribed spacer rDNA regions (ITS) to compare with COI. Among the small proportion of taxa for which COI could be sequenced, COI and ITS perform similarly as a barcode. However, in a densely sampled set of closely related taxa, COI was less divergent than ITS and failed to distinguish all terminal clades. Given our results and the wealth of ITS data already available in public databases, we recommend that COI be abandoned in favor of ITS as the primary DNA barcode locus in mushrooms.  相似文献

Sixty‐one Hawaiian algal specimens corresponding to members of the tribe Amansieae (Amansia and Osmundaria) were compared through DNA sequence analysis. Short DNA barcode‐like sequences of mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) and universal plastid amplicon (UPA) markers were obtained for as many of the specimens as possible, and a subset of specimens was also used for amplification and sequencing of the nuclear small‐subunit rRNA (SSU) gene for phylogenetic inference in a broader taxonomic context. Statistical parsimony analysis of the COI and UPA markers for A. glomerata produced relationships among the samples that were largely congruent with each other, although the UPA marker was more conserved. The COI marker yielded three lineages, and nucleotide divergences for these three lineages were intermediate to those typically reported for intraspecific and interspecific comparisons, suggesting that they represent either incipient species or a complex of closely related species. The COI and UPA sequences demonstrated little to no divergence for Osmundaria obtusiloba and the taxon referred to as Amansia fimbrifolia. In contrast, specimens identified as A. daemelii were identical in sequence to lineage 3 sequences of A. glomerata, and it is recommended that this taxon no longer be included in species lists for the Hawaiian flora. Phylogenetic reconstruction based on the SSU gene was largely unresolved, indicating that this marker may be of limited utility for this purpose in this group of algae, but a small amount of nucleotide variation was found for samples of A. glomerata.  相似文献

Intraspecific diversity in Cassava Green Mite Mononychellus progresivus Doreste was examined using individuals collected in Benin and the Congo and in Columbia and Brazil. Comparisons were based on mitochondrial and ribosomal DNA sequences and the results of several cross-breeding experiments. Sequence variation was examined in a total of 1139 base pairs (bp) constituting the ITS2 ribosomal DNA (805 bp) and a fragment of the Cytochrome Oxidase I (COI) gene (334 bp). Sequence divergence is low, ranging from 0% to 2.1% for COI and from 0% to 0.4% for ITS2. Inter-strain comparisons have shown that the two African populations appear to be identical. They were similar to the Colombian population while the Brazilian population was clearly different. The data support the hypothesis of a single introduction of the species in the two African populations. Crossing experiments have shown partial hybrid sterility, suggesting a genetic incompatibility consistent with differences detected by sequence data. The results show the usefulness of molecular markers as a tool for determining taxonomic status and dispersion paths in spider mites.  相似文献

To infer the differentiation of Japanese Davidius dragonflies, we investigated the genealogies of the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I gene (COI) and the nuclear ribosomal RNA gene region encompassing 18S, ITS1, 5.8S, and ITS2 sequences for three species endemic to Japan--Davidius nanus, D. fujiama, and D. moiwanus--as well as D. lunatus from the Korean Peninsula. According to the mitochondrial and nuclear gene genealogies, D. nanus and D. moiwanus are closely related and are sister to the continental species D. lunatus, whereas D. fujiama differentiated from an ancestor of the other three species. Although the mitochondrial DNA data did not resolve the relationships between D. nanus and three D. moiwanus subspecies, the nuclear DNA data indicate the monophyly of D. moiwanus and its subspecies. The nuclear gene genealogy suggests that isolated wetlands used by larval D. moiwanus derive from the ancestral riverine habitats of D. nanus and other Davidius species. The COI sequence divergence among local populations was much greater in D. moiwanus than in D. nanus, which may be the result of differences in the dispersal ranges associated with the habitat types of these species.  相似文献

The current study examined rDNA (internal transcribed spacer regions, ITS1 and ITS2) and cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (CO1) sequence data of Apatemon annuligerum (originating from two geographical locations) and A. gracilis metacercariae (originating from four natural piscine hosts) to determine the systematic status of these two strigeid digeneans. With the exception of short repeat motifs, the ITS1 regions sequenced demonstrated no intra- or inter-specific sequence variation. ITS2 sequences were 292 bp and CO1 sequences 366 bp in length and identical for both nominal Apatemon species. These sequence data provide strong evidence that the two species are con-specific and that A. annuligerum should be regarded as a junior synonym of A. gracilis.  相似文献

DNA barcodes are widely used in taxonomy, systematics, species identification, food safety, and forensic science. Most of the conventional DNA barcode sequences contain the whole information of a given barcoding gene. Most of the sequence information does not vary and is uninformative for a given group of taxa within a monophylum. We suggest here a method that reduces the amount of noninformative nucleotides in a given barcoding sequence of a major taxon, like the prokaryotes, or eukaryotic animals, plants, or fungi. The actual differences in genetic sequences, called single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping, provide a tool for developing a rapid, reliable, and high‐throughput assay for the discrimination between known species. Here, we investigated SNPs as robust markers of genetic variation for identifying different pigeon species based on available cytochrome c oxidase I (COI) data. We propose here a decision tree‐based SNP barcoding (DTSB) algorithm where SNP patterns are selected from the DNA barcoding sequence of several evolutionarily related species in order to identify a single species with pigeons as an example. This approach can make use of any established barcoding system. We here firstly used as an example the mitochondrial gene COI information of 17 pigeon species (Columbidae, Aves) using DTSB after sequence trimming and alignment. SNPs were chosen which followed the rule of decision tree and species‐specific SNP barcodes. The shortest barcode of about 11 bp was then generated for discriminating 17 pigeon species using the DTSB method. This method provides a sequence alignment and tree decision approach to parsimoniously assign a unique and shortest SNP barcode for any known species of a chosen monophyletic taxon where a barcoding sequence is available.  相似文献

根据18SrDNA、5.8SrDNA和28SrDNA保守序列设计引物,应用聚合酶链式反应(PCR)扩增了文蛤(Meretrix meretrix L.)、青蛤(Cyclina sinensis G)、硬壳蛤(Mercenaria mercenaria L.)和江户布目蛤(Protothaca jedoensis L.)4种帘蛤科贝类的第一内转录间隔区(ITS1)和第二内转录间隔区(ITS2)序列,并进行了测序。结果表明,文蛤、青蛤、硬壳蛤和江户布目蛤的ITS1扩增产物大小分别为978bp、663bp、757bp和942bp,GC含量分别为61.55%、60.78%、62.48%和64.86%~64.97%,其中ITS1序列长度分别为900bp、585bp、679bp和864bp,是迄今已报道双壳贝类中变化范围最大的,GC含量分别为61.67%、61.03%、63.03%和65.51%~65.62%,江户布目蛤种内ITS1序列有个体差异;ITS2扩增产物大小分别为644bp、618~620bp、593bp和513~514bp,GC含量分别为61.18%、61.29%~61.81%、62.73%和61.48%61.60%,其中ITS2序列长度分别为412bp、386~388bp、361bp和281~282bp,GC含量分别为65.29%、65.21%~66.06%、67.87%和67.38%~67.62%,青蛤和江户布目蛤种内ITS2序列有个体差异。4种蛤ITS1和ITS2序列种间差异很大,有明显的长度多态性,ITS2种间序列相似度73.0%~89.1%,与ITS1的种间序列相似度48.7%~81.5%相比略高。此外,在4种蛤ITS1和ITS2序列中各发现2个与rRNA加工有关的保守区。通过对ITS1和ITS2序列的组装获得了4种蛤5.8SrRNA基因完整序列,序列长度都是157bp,GC含量57.96%~58.60%,4种蛤5.8SrRNA基因相对保守,种间序列差异度0-6.0%,共有10个变异位点,其中转换4处,颠换6处,硬壳蛤和江户布目蛤5.8SrRNA基因序列完全相同。以ITS2序列(包含5.8SrRNA和28SrRNA基因部分序列)为标记,调用北极蛤科的Arctica islandica相应序列数据作外群,构建了帘蛤科贝类的系统发育树,其拓扑结构显示江户布目蛤与硬壳蛤亲缘关系最近,青蛤与其他3物种的亲缘关系最远。  相似文献

he first internal transcribed spacer (ITS1) of nuclear ribosomal DNA of three wild rice species and two subspecies of cultivated rice, which are distributed in China, was amplified using PCR technique and sequenced with automated fluorescent sequencing. The sequences of ITS1 ranged from 193 bp to 218 bp in size and G/C content varied from 69.3%to 72.7%. In pairwise comparison among the five taxa, sequence site divergence ranged from 1.5 % to 10.6%. Phylogenetic analysis of ITS1 sequences using Wagner parsimony generated a single well-resolved tree, which revealed that Oryza rufipogon was much more closely related to cultivated rice species than to the other two wild species. Oryza granulata was less closely related to either cultivated rice species or the other two wild species, and might be a unique and isolated taxon in the genus Oryza. The phylogenetic relationships of the three wild rice species and two cultivated rice subspecies inferred from ITS1 sequences is highly concordant with those based on the molecular evidence from isozyme, chloroplast DNA (cpDNA), mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) and nuclear DNA (nDNA) of the genus Oryza.  相似文献

Eighteen isolates representing six Fusarium species from diverse hosts and geographical origins were evaluated to determine ribosomal DNA variation using polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphisms. No length variation was observed for amplified 18S and 28S regions. However, amplification of the ITS region showed one isolate, a F. oxysporum, to be about 120 bp larger than the remaining 17. Restriction digestions in the 18S region revealed polymorphisms within species of F. oxysporum and F. solani. An amplified variable stretch of the 28S gene showed restriction site differences between F. avenecum, F. sambucinum and F. sporotrichioides. A large degree of polymorphism was observed both between and within species in the ITS region. Therefore, entire sequences of the ITS and the 5.8S subunit were obtained for 17 of the 18 isolates. These sequences, along with those from eight additional isolates, were analysed using PAUP to assess the occurrence of DNA sequence divergence within the ITS region. The lack of correlation between molecular-based relationships and species affinities inferred from morphology for some isolates indicates that species designation can be unreliable using morphological data alone. In this paper we examine the phylogenetic relationships of the Octopoda utilizing molecular sequence data from the cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene and compare results from analyses of molecular data with classifications and phylogenies based on previous morphological studies. Partial COI sequences (657 bp, excluding primers) were obtained from 28 species representing most of the diversity in the Order Octopoda, along with a sequence from the established sister taxon to the Octopoda, Vampyroteuthis infernalis. Our results exhibit a number of basic differences from inferences based on standard morphological data. We attempt to resolve these differences based on our confidence in various morphological features. An important finding is the failure of the molecular data to support the monophyly of the Octopodidae. This family contains over 90% of the species in the Suborder Incirrata and has always been difficult to define. Statistical tests constraining Octopodidae monophyly by use of parsimony and maximum-likelihood techniques suggest that all incirrates may be derived from octopodids.  相似文献

用 PCR技术从产于我国的 3种野生稻和亚洲栽培稻的 2个亚种中特异地扩增和测序了 r DNA的第一转录间隔区。普通野生稻 (Oryza rufipogon)、药用野生稻 (O.officinalis)、疣粒野生稻 (O.granu-lata)和栽培稻的两个亚种 (O.sativa ssp.indica,O.sativa ssp.japonica)的 ITS1序列为 1 93bp、1 94bp、2 1 8bp、1 94bp和 1 94bp,它们的 G/ C含量为 69.3%~ 72 .7% ,序列中位点趋异率为 1 .5%~ 1 0 .6%。序列的相似性比较和简约性分支分析的结果表明 ,普通野生稻与栽培稻的两个亚种之间的亲缘关系最为密切 ;药用野生稻与普通野生稻和与栽培稻的两个亚种的相似性都为 82 % ,说明它与 AA基因组有一定的亲缘关系 ;疣粒野生稻与普通野生稻、药用野生稻和栽培稻两个亚种的亲缘关系相对较远 ,它在稻属中可能是一个系统地位较独特的类群。以 ITS1序列构建的 3种野生稻和 2个栽培稻亚种的系统发育关系与前人用同工酶、叶绿体 DNA、线粒体 DNA和核 DNA资料重建的稻属的系统发育关系基本一致  相似文献

A phylogeny was reconstructed for four species belonging to the Neotropical Anopheles (Nyssorhynchus) albitarsis complex using partial sequences from the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I (COI) and NADH dehydrogenase 4 (ND4) genes and the ribosomal DNA ITS2 and D2 expansion region of the 28S subunit. The basis for initial characterization of each member of the complex was by correlated random amplification of polymorphic DNA-polymerase chain reaction (RAPD-PCR) markers. Analyses were carried out with and without an outgroup (An.(Nys.) argyritarsis Robineau-Desvoidy) by using maximum parsimony, maximum likelihood, and Bayesian methods. A total evidence approach without the outgroup, using separate models for "fast" (COI and ND4 position 3) and "slow" (rDNA ITS2 and D2, and COI and ND4 position 1) partitions, gave the best supported topology, showing close relationships of An. albitarsis Lynch-Arribálzaga to An. albitarsis B and An. marajoara Galv?o & Damasceno to An. deaneorum Rosa-Freitas. Analyses with the outgroup included showed poorer support, possibly because of a long branch attraction effect caused by a divergent outgroup, which caused one of the An. marajoara specimens to cluster with An. deaneorum in some analyses. The relationship of the above-mentioned result to a separately proposed hypothesis suggesting a fifth species in the complex is discussed.  相似文献

DNA sequences of an 847 bp fragment of mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) gene and a 514 bp fragment of 16s rRNA gene were determined to examine the phylogenetic relationships of 12 Penaeoidea shrimp species (Penaeus chinensis, Penaeus japonicus, Penaeus penicillatus, Penaeus vannamei, Penaeus canaliculatus, Trachypenaeus curvirostris, Metapenaeus affinis, Metapenaeus ensis, Metapenaeopsis barbata, Parapenaeus fissuroides, Parapenaeopsis hardiwickii, Solenocera crassicomis). Both fragments of the swimming crab Portunus trituberculaus chosen as the outgroup were also sequenced. Intraspecific sequence divergence of 0.24-1.2% in the COI gene was found in 5 species, while no intraspecific variation was observed in the 16s rRNA gene. Three phylogenetic trees based on the 1361 bp combined sequences of COI and 16s rRNA were concordant in indicating the following suggestions: (1) phylogenetic relationship of the 11 Penaeidae species based on our result support the opinion of Burkenroad (Burkenroad, M.D. (1983). Crustacean Issues 3:279-290) on the basis of morphological features; (2) it seems more reasonable to class Solenocera crassicorni in the family Penaeidae; (3) the fragment of the COI gene chosen here appears to be a good marker for speciation studies and population analysis in Crustaceans, while the 16s rRNA gene fragment here seems suitable for examining phylogenetic relationships at the species or genus levels in Crustaceans. Our time estimates suggest that Penaeus and Metapenaeus might have separated about 6.38 x 10(6)-7.98 x 10(6) years BP in the post-Miocene, and the species separation within Metapenaeus and Penaeus might occur 0.08 x 10(6)-0.4 x 10(6) years BP in the late Pleistocene.  相似文献

以柿属植物(Diospyros spp.)中与柿近缘的8种共30个基因型为试材,进行核糖体DNA(nrDNA)内转录间隔区(ITS)和叶绿体DNA ndhA序列变异分析,并通过软件计算两个序列及合并后的进化模型,依据进化模型采用ML法(maximum likelihood method)分析进化关系。为进一步弄清柿属植物种间亲缘关系和供试柿(Diospyros kaki Thunb.)种内分子差异提供了理论依据。结果表明:(1)ndhA序列长度变异范围在1 492~1 511,14个信息位点;ITS序列长度变异范围在660~761,56个信息位点。ITS、ndhA和ndhA+ITS(ndhA和ITS合并)最适碱基进化模型分别为(TrN+I+G)、(F81+I)和(GTR+I+G)。综合ITS和ndhA序列分析表明:柿与油柿和云南野毛柿亲缘关系最近,与美洲柿和乌柿最远。(2)21份柿品种材料的ITS长度均为730,包括4个变异位点,据此4个变异位点对供试柿种内21个品种进行聚类分析。研究认为,ndhA和ITS能较清楚解释了柿与其近缘种间的亲缘关系,并通过柿品种ITS的差异位点分析鉴别出栽培柿种内的差异。  相似文献

Nucleotide sequence variation of mitochondrial DNA COI and nuclear rRNA gene regions was used to reconstruct phylogenetic relationships for the red-snow-crab species complex, including the red snow crab, Chionoecetes japonicus, its nominal subspecies, C. japonicus pacificus, and the triangle tanner crab, C. angulatus. The topologies of the Bayesian and neighbor-joining (NJ) trees of the COI and of NJ trees of rRNA sequences placed C. japonicus and C. angulatus in a single clade. The net sequence divergence between these taxa was d(net) = 0.000 in COI, and strongly suggests that these taxa represent a single species. In contrast, haplotypes in C. j. pacificus clustered separately from the C. japonicus - C. angulatus clade. Net sequence divergence from C. japonicus - C. angulatus to C. j. pacificus was d(net) = 0.026 in COI, indicating that C. j. pacificus should be elevated to a separate species, C. pacificus. A 165 bp insert appeared in the rRNA gene of C. j. pacificus, but was absent in the remaining species of Chionoecetes. This autapomorphic condition in C. j. pacificus adds support for an independent evolution of this taxon. Sequence variation of the complete second internal transcribed spacer (ITS2, 445 bp) of nuclear ribosomal DNA and part of the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I gene (COI, 350 bp) was examined in Amphitetranychus viennensis (Zacher) mites (Acari:Tetranychidae) from four French and four Japanese locations. Sequence analysis consistently revealed the separation of the samples in two major groups: French mites differed from Japanese by 3.8–4.1% of the nucleotide divergence in COI sequences. These two groups also displayed distinct ITS2 consensus sequences (2.1% nucleotide divergence). A few variations, not affecting the diagnostic sites around the consensus sequence, were revealed among cloned copies of the same individual. Reciprocal crosses and backcrosses between one French and two Japanese populations disclosed strong reproductive incompatibility. However, fertile hybrid females were obtained, indicating the conspecificity of the tested mites. Despite the presence of Wolbachia in the French strain, but not in the Japanese ones, our crosses did not display the unidirectional incompatibility typically produced by this microorganism, but rather a bidirectional – although asymmetrical – incompatibility pattern. The post-zygotic incompatibilities in A. viennensis cannot be explained by the presence of Wolbachia but to some extent by mite genome divergence resulting from limited gene exchange between allopatric populations. Experiments of Wolbachia elimination by antibiotic treatment and subsequent crosses with cured strains are still needed to fully understand the reproductive incompatibility patterns in this mite species.  相似文献
