The main objectives of the study were to: (1) deeply analyse the serum protein composition of Equus caballus, (2) assess the effectiveness of the high-abundant protein depletion and improve the concentration of medium- and low-abundant proteins. The analysis were performed on the blood plasma of three healthy part-Arabian mares. The implementation of two-dimensional electrophoresis and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation – time of flight mass spectrometry allowed us to establish a horse plasma proteome map. Serum proteins were resolved at pH 4 to 7, followed by 12% SDS-PAGE. As a result 136 spots were successfully identified, representing the products of 46 unique genes. Of these, 22 gene products have not been previously identified in horse serum/plasma samples using proteomic tools. Gene ontology analysis showed that almost 30% of all identified gene products belong to the coagulation and complement cascades. These results can undoubtedly serve as a useful and prospective prerequisite for the future analysis of horse plasma proteome changes in different physiological and pathophysiological conditions. The use of the medium- and low-abundant protein enrichment tool increased their abundance and allowed us to identify a higher number of protein gene products. The highest depletion efficiency was observed for the most abundant plasma proteins, that is albumin, IgG heavy chains and serotransferrin.  相似文献

This study was designed to track changes in the blood plasma proteome caused by exposure of healthy humans to dry immersion. The blood plasma specimens of five healthy volunteers aged 23–29 years obtained seven days before immersion, on day 7 of exposure in the immersion bath, and seven days after completion of the experiment were analyzed. After the extraction of major and the concentration of minor proteins, depleted blood plasma fractions were subjected to two-dimensional electrophoresis with the subsequent identification of significantly different protein spots with the method of mass-spectrometric analysis of peptide fragments. A significant change in intensity was observed for 25 protein spots with a coefficient of variation of >60%. Cluster analysis confirmed substantial changes in the blood plasma proteome in the period of readaptation of the body to the conditions of normal vital activity upon completion of immersion. On day 7 of readaptation, the apolipoprotein A-1, A-IV, and E concentrations were significantly higher compared to the baseline data and the measurements on day 7 of immersion. However, the levels of α-, β-fibrinogen, the complement C4B factor, and serum amyloid P were found to be lower.  相似文献

The present study was conducted to identify the major seminal plasma protein profile of boars and its associations with semen criteria. Semen samples were collected from 12 adult boars and subjected to evaluation of sperm parameters (motility, morphology, vitality, and percent of cells with intact acrosome). Seminal plasma was obtained by centrifugation, analyzed by two-dimensional SDS-PAGE, and proteins identified by mass spectrometry (electrospray ionization quadrupole time-of-flight). We tested regression models using spot intensities related to the same proteins as independent variables and semen parameters as dependent variables (P ≤ 0.05). One hundred twelve spots were identified in the boar seminal plasma gels, equivalent to 39 different proteins. Spermadhesin porcine seminal protein (PSP)-I and PSP-II, as well as spermadhesins AQN-1, AQN-3 and AWN-1 represented 45.2 ± 8% of the total intensity of all spots. Other proteins expressed in the boar seminal plasma included albumin, complement proteins (complement factor H precursor, complement C3 precursor and adipsin/complement factor D), immunoglobulins (IgG heavy chain precursor, IgG delta heavy chain membrane bound form, IgG gamma-chain, Ig lambda chain V-C region PLC3, and CH4 and secreted domains of swine IgM), IgG-binding proteins, epididymal-specific lipocalin 5, epididymal secretory protein E1 precursor, epididymal secretory glutathione peroxidase precursor, transferrin, lactotransferrin and fibronectin type 1 (FN1). On the basis of the regression analysis, the percentage of sperm with midpiece defects was related to the amount of CH4 and secreted domains of swine IgM and FN1 (r² = 0.58, P = 0.006), IgG-binding protein (r² = 0.41, P = 0.024), complement factor H precursor (r² = 0.61, P = 0.014) and lactadherin (r² = 0.45, P = 0.033). The percentage of sperm with tail defects was also related to CH4 and secreted domains of swine IgM and FN1 (r² = 0.40, P = 0.034), IgG-binding protein (r² = 0.35, P = 0.043) and lactadherin (r² = 0.74, P = 0.001). Sperm motility, in turn, had association with the intensities of spots identified as lactadherin (r² = 0.48, P = 0.027). In conclusion, we presently describe the major proteome of boar seminal plasma and significant associations between specific seminal plasma proteins and semen parameters. Such relationships will serve as the basis for determination of molecular markers of sperm function in the swine species.  相似文献

Evolutionary relationships among members of the regulator of complement activation (RCA) gene cluster were analyzed using neighbor-joining and parsimony methods of phylogenetic tree inference. We investigated the structural and functional similarities among short consensus repeats (SCRs) of the following human proteins: the alpha chain of the C4b-binding protein (C4bpalpha), factor H (FH), factor H-related proteins (FHR-1 through FHR-4), complement receptors type 1 (CR1) and type 2 (CR2), the CR1-like protein (CR1L), membrane cofactor protein (MCP), decay accelerating factor (DAF), and the sand bass proteins, the cofactor protein (SBP1) and its homolog, the cofactor-related protein (SBCRP-1). Also included are the beta chain of the human C4b-binding protein (C4bpbeta) and the b subunit of human blood-clotting factor XIII (FXIIIb). Our results indicate that the human plasma complement regulators, FH and C4bpalpha, fall into two distinct groups on the basis of their sequence divergence. Homology among RCA proteins is in agreement with their chromosomal location, with the exception of C4bpbeta. The evolutionary relationships among individual short consensus repeats are confirmed by the exon/intron structure of the RCA members. Structural similarities among repeats of the RCA proteins correlate with their functional activities and demonstrate the importance of the N-terminal SCRs.  相似文献

Translational control of protein synthesis depends on numerous eukaryotic initiation factors (eIFs) and we have previously shown (Am. J. Physiol. Endocrinol. Metab. 276: E721-E727, 1999) that increases in one factor, eIF2B, are associated with increases in rates of protein synthesis after resistance exercise in rats. In the present study we investigated whether the eIF4E family of initiation factors is also involved with an anabolic response to exercise. Male Sprague-Dawley rats either remained sedentary (n = 6) or performed acute resistance exercise (n = 6), and rates of protein synthesis were assessed in vivo 16 h after the last session of resistance exercise. eIF4E complexed to eIF4G (eIF4E x eIF4G), eIF4E binding protein 1 (4E-BP1) complexed to eIF4E, and phosphorylation state of eIF4E and 4E-BP1 (gamma-form) were assessed in gastrocnemius. Rates of protein synthesis were higher in exercised rats compared with sedentary rats [205 +/- 8 (SE) vs. 164 +/- 5.5 nmol phenylalanine incorporated x g muscle(-1) x h(-1), respectively; P < 0.05]. Arterial plasma insulin concentrations were not different between the two groups. A trend (P = 0.09) for an increase in eIF4E x eIF4G with exercise was noted; however, no statistically significant differences were observed in any of the components of the eIF4E family in response to resistance exercise. These new data, along with our previous report on eIF2B, suggest that the regulation of peptide chain initiation after exercise is more dependent on eIF2B than on the eIF4E system.  相似文献

The effects of low blood glucose concentration during low-intensity prolonged physical exercise on the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenocortical axis were investigated in healthy young men. In experiment 1, six subjects who had fasted for 14 h performed bicycle exercise at 50% of their maximal O2 uptake until exhaustion. At the end of the exercise, adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and cortisol increased significantly. However, this hormonal response was totally abolished when the same subjects exercised at the same intensity while blood glucose concentrations were maintained at the preexercise level. In experiment 2, in addition to ACTH and cortisol, the possible changes in plasma concentration of corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) were investigated during exercise of the same intensity performed by six subjects. As suggested by a previous study (Tabata et al. Clin. Physiol. Oxf. 4: 299-307, 1984), when the blood glucose concentrations decreased to less than 3.3 mM, plasma concentrations of CRF, ACTH, and cortisol showed a significant increase. At exhaustion, further increases were observed in plasma CRF, ACTH, and cortisol concentrations. These results demonstrate that decreases in blood glucose concentration trigger the pituitary-adrenocortical axis to enhance secretion of ACTH and cortisol during low-intensity prolonged exercise in humans. The data also might suggest that this activation is due to increased concentration of CRF, which was shown to increase when blood glucose concentration decreased to a critical level of 3.3 mM.  相似文献

2-D gel electrophoresis has been used for more than three decades to study the protein complement of organisms, tissues, and cells. Three issues are holding back large-scale proteomics studies: low-throughput, high technical variation, and study designs lacking statistical power. We identified image analysis as the central factor connecting these three issues. By developing an improved image analysis workflow we shortened project timelines, decreased technical variation, and thus enabled large-scale proteomics studies that are statistically powered. Rather than detecting protein spots on each gel image and matching spots across gel images, the improved workflow is based on aligning images first, then creating a consensus spot pattern and finally propagating the consensus spot pattern to all gel images for quantitation. This results in a data table without gaps. As an example we show here a study aimed at discovering circulating biomarkers for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Eight candidate biomarkers were identified by comparing plasma from 24 smokers with COPD and 24 smokers without COPD. Among the candidates are proteins such as plasma retinal-binding protein (RETB) and fibrinogen that had previously been linked to the disease and are frequently monitored in COPD patients, as well as other proteins such as apolipoprotein E (ApoE), inter-alpha-trypsininhibitor heavy chain H4 (ITIH4), and glutathione peroxidase.  相似文献

Benzene, a ubiquitous environmental contaminant, is an important solvent in the chemical industry and is also known as a constituent of petroleum. It has been reported that benzene is associated with hematotoxicity including leukemia in humans and cancer in laboratory animals. To study protein expression alterations in rat plasma exposed to benzene, rats were exposed to levels of 1, 10, 100 ppm benzine for 6 h/day and 5 d/week for 2 or 6 weeks. Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis of rat plasma was carried out, and approximately 1000 protein spots were detected on the gels. The 11 spots which showed significantly different expression were selected and identified with matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight-mass spectrometry. Analyzing the targeted 11 spots, there was no correlation between the 2 and 6 weeks benzene-inhaled groups on up-regulated proteins (zinc finger protein, and tristetraprolin) and on down-regulated proteins (cAMP-regulated guanine nucleotide exchange factor II, protein kinase and unknown protein). The overexpressed proteins (inhibitor of kappaB-like protein, GTP-binding protein rab14, T-cell receptor alpha chain, and somatostatin transactivating factor-1) were detected only in groups inhaling benzene for 6 weeks. Among them the expression level of T-cell receptor alpha chain was confirmed by Western blot.  相似文献

Plasma gastrin concentrations were determined in 6 Standardbreds (4 geldings and 2 mares) after 3 different meals consisting of unlimited amounts of hay (8-9 kg per horse), a restricted amount of hay (0.6 kg/100 kg body-weight) and grain (0.2 kg/100 kg body-weight) in combination or of grain alone (0.2 kg/100 kg body-weight). In another series of experiments the possible role of gastrin as a stress hormone was investigated. Plasma gastrin and Cortisol concentrations were determined during fasting and compared with concentrations during hay feeding. In addition, gastrin and Cortisol concentrations were determined before, during and after 2 kinds of physical exercise on a treadmill. Meal stimulation significantly increased the plasma gastrin concentration, irrespective of the meal composition. An immediate and large increase in plasma gastrin concentration was found when voluminous meals were given, whereas a small meal evoked a later onset of gastrin release, suggesting that gastric distention plays an important role in inducing gastrin release during a meal. Meals consisting of grain seem to evoke a slower onset and then a more prolonged gastrin response than a hay meal, possibly due to different emptying rates of the stomach. Nervous excitation may play a minor role in the activation of gastrin release in horses. No experimental support was obtained for the idea that gastrin acts as a stress hormone in the horse. kw|Keywords|k]Cortisol; k]exercise; k]feeding; k]fasting  相似文献

Human factor I is a two-chain plasma glycoprotein composed of disulfide-linked 50,000- and 38,000-dalton subunits. Analysis of its biosynthesis and postsynthetic processing demonstrated that factor I is synthesized as a single chain precursor (pro-I) that undergoes glycosylation and limited proteolysis to generate the native protein. One of three human hepatoma cell lines, HepG2 , secreted factor I predominantly (70-90%) in a single chain pro-I form. The other cell lines secrete factor I predominantly in its two chain native form. The defect in conversion of pro-I to I in HepG2 was protein specific since other multichain proteins, derived from single chain precursors, the third, fourth, and fifth components of complement were processed normally. Further analysis of the inefficient pro-I to I conversion by HepG2 revealed that Xenopus oocytes injected with HepG2 mRNA secreted factor I in a predominantly two-chain form. In addition, the apparent sizes of native factor I, transferrin, and alpha-1-antitrypsin secreted by the three hepatoma lines differed due to differences in postsynthetic processing.  相似文献

Giardia lamblia is a protozoan pathogen with distinct cytoskeletal structures, including median bodies and eight flagella. In this study, we examined components comprising G. lamblia flagella. Crude flagellar extracts were prepared from G. lamblia trophozoites, and analyzed by two-dimensional (2-D) gel electrophoresis. The 19 protein spots were analyzed by MALDI–TOF mass spectrometry, identifying ten metabolic enzymes, six distinct giardins, Giardia trophozoite antigen 1, translational initiation factor eIF-4A, and an extracellular signal-regulated kinase 2. Among the identified proteins, we studied α-11 giardin which belongs to a group of cytoskeletal proteins specific to Giardia. Western blot analysis and real-time PCR indicated that expression of α-11 giardin is not significantly increased during encystation of G. lamblia. Immunofluorescence assays using anti-α-11 giardin antibodies revealed that α-11 giardin protein mainly localized to the plasma membranes and basal bodies of the anterior flagella of G. lamblia trophozoites, suggesting that α-11 giardin is a genuine component of the G. lamblia cytoskeleton.  相似文献

ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND: Refractory anemia with excess blasts subtype 1 (RAEB-1) is a subgroup of myelodysplastic syndrome. It represents a heterogeneous group of oncohematological bone marrow diseases, which occur particularly in elderly patients. The aim of this proteomic study was to search for plasma protein alterations in RAEB-1 patients. RESULTS: A total of 24 plasma samples were depleted of fourteen high-abundant plasma proteins, analyzed with 2D SDS-PAGE, compared, and statistically processed with Progenesis SameSpots software. Proteins were identified by nanoLC-MS/MS. Retinol-binding protein 4 and leucine-rich alpha-2-glycoprotein were relatively quantified using mass spectrometry. 56 significantly differing spots were found; and in 52 spots 50 different proteins were successfully identified. Several plasma proteins that changed either in their level or modification have been described herein. The plasma level of retinol-binding protein 4 was decreased, while leucine-rich alpha-2-glycoprotein was modified in RAEB-1 patients. Changes in the inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain H4, altered protein fragmentation, or fragments modifications were observed. CONCLUSIONS: This study describes proteins, which change quantitatively or qualitatively in the plasma of RAEB-1 patients. It is the first report on qualitative changes in the leucine-rich alpha-2-glycoprotein in the RAEB-1 subgroup of myelodysplastic syndrome. Described changes in the composition or modification of inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain H4 fragments in RAEB-1 are in agreement with those changes observed in previous study of refractory cytopenia with multilineage dysplasia, and thus H4 fragments could be a marker specific for myelodysplastic syndrome.  相似文献

Peritoneal membranes can be categorized as high, high average, low average, and low transporters, based on the removal or transport rate of solutes. In this study, we used proteomic analysis to determine the differences in proteins removed by different types of peritoneal membranes. Peritoneal transport characteristics in patients who received peritoneal dialysis therapy were assessed by a peritoneal equilibration test. Two-dimensional differential gel electrophoresis technology followed by quantitative analysis was performed to study the variation in protein expression from peritoneal dialysis effluents (PDE) among different groups. Proteins were identified by MALDI-TOF-MS/MS analyses. Further validation in PDE or serum was performed utilizing ELISA analysis. Proteomics analysis revealed ten protein spots with significant differences in intensity levels among different groups, including vitamin D-binding protein, complement C3, apolipoprotein-A1, complement factor C4A, haptoglobin, alpha-1 antitrypsin, immunoglobulin kappa light chain, alpha-2-microglobulin, retinol-binding protein 4 and transthyretin. The levels of vitamin D-binding protein, complement C3, and apolipoprotein-A1 in PDE derived from different groups were greatly varied (P < 0.05). However, no significant difference was found in the serum levels of these proteins among different groups (P > 0.05 for all groups). This study provides a novel overview of the differences in PDE proteomes of four types of peritoneal membranes. Vitamin D-binding protein, complement C3, and apolipoprotein-A1 showed enhanced expression in PDE of patients with high transporter.  相似文献

There is interest to analyse newer biomarkers to identify healthy individuals at risk to develop cardiovascular disease (CVD) incidents and death. To determine in healthy individuals new circulating protein biomarkers, whose systemic levels may be associated with the risk of future development of CVD incidents and death. The study was performed in 82 individuals from the Malmö Diet and Cancer study cohort, free from CVD of whom 41 developed CVD and 41 did not. Plasma proteins related to inflammation and thrombo‐coagulating processes were analysed. α1‐antitrypsin isotype 3 plasma levels were significantly higher while apolipoprotein J plasma levels were lower in participants that developed CVD incidents than those that did not develop acute cardiovascular episode. Of 82 participants, 17 died by CVD causes. There were proteins whose expression in plasma was significantly higher in participants suffering CVD death as compared with those that did not die by CVD. These proteins included: fibrinogen β‐chain isotypes 1 and 3, fibrinogen‐γ‐chain isotype 2, vitamin D‐binding protein isotypes 1, 2 and 3, α1‐antitrypsin isotypes 3 and 6, haptoglobin isotypes 3,4,5 and 5, haemopexin isotypes 1 and 2, and Rho/Rac guanine nucleotide exchange factor 2. Moreover, apolipoprotein J plasma levels were found lower in participants that died by cardiovascular cause. Association between plasma levels of proteins and CVD death was independent of age, gender, conventional risk factors and plasma C‐reactive protein levels. Several protein plasma levels and protein isotypes related to inflammation and thrombo‐coagulating phenomena were independently associated with the risk of future CVD death.  相似文献

We tested the hypothesis that adrenergic and nonadrenergic receptor responsiveness and protein expression would be altered with advancing age. Young (n = 6; 22 ± 1 mo; mean ± SE) and old (n = 6; 118 ± 9 mo) beagles were instrumented with flow probes and an indwelling catheter for continuous measurement of external iliac blood flow and arterial blood pressure. Vascular conductance (VC) was calculated as hindlimb blood flow/mean arterial pressure. Selective agonists for α-1, α-2, neuropeptide-Y (NPY), and purinergic (P2X) receptors were infused at rest and during treadmill running at moderate (2.5 mph) and heavy (4 mph with 2.5% grade) exercise intensities. Feed arteries were dissected from gracilis muscles, and α-1D, α-1B, α-2A, P2X-4, P2X-1, and NPY-Y1 receptor protein expression was determined. Phenylephrine produced similar decreases (P > 0.05) in VC in young and old beagles at rest (young: -62 ± 5%; old: -59 ± 5%) and during moderate (young: -67 ± 5%; old: -62 ± 4%) and heavy (young: -54 ± 4%; old: -49 ± 3%) exercise. Clonidine caused similar (P > 0.05) decreases in VC in old compared with young dogs at rest (young: -59 ± 8%; old: -70 ± 6%) and during moderate (young: -52 ± 6%; old: -47 ± 5%)- and heavy (young: -42 ± 5%; old: -43 ± 5%)-intensity exercise. NPY infusion resulted in a similar decline in VC in young and old beagles at rest (young: -40 ± 7%; old: -39 ± 9%) and during moderate (young: -47 ± 6%; old: -40 ± 6%)- and heavy (young: -40 ± 3%; old: -38 ± 4%)-intensity exercise. α-β-Methylene-ATP also produced similar decreases in VC in young and old beagles at rest (young: -36 ± 6%; old: -40 ± 8%) and during exercise at moderate (young: -42 ± 5%; old: -40 ± 9%) and heavy (young: -47 ± 5%; old: -42 ± 8%) intensities. α-1B receptor protein expression was elevated (P < 0.05) in old compared with young dogs, whereas there were no age-related differences in α-1D or α-2A receptor expression and nonadrenergic P2X-4, P2X-1, and NPY-Y1 receptor expression. The present findings indicate that postsynaptic adrenergic and nonadrenergic receptor responsiveness was not altered by advancing age. Moreover, the expression of adrenergic and nonadrenergic receptors in skeletal-muscle feed arteries was largely unaffected by aging.  相似文献

We report here the isolation and partial characterization of a previously unrecognized protease-sensitive plasma protein identified during the development of a novel protocol for the purification of the second component of human complement (C2). This new protein is physicochemically similar to C2. It coprecipitates with C2 on polyethylene glycol fractionation and specifically binds, like C2, to Sepharose-bound iC4/C4b. Binding occurs both in the presence and absence of C2. The purified protein has a chain structure similar to C2 as determined by sodium dodecyl sulfate-gel electrophoresis in the presence or absence of reducing agent and has a molecular mass of 120 kDa, only somewhat greater than C2 at 95 kDa. Both proteins radioiodinate under similar conditions to the same specific activities with each of two different methods that yield 10-fold disparate results. Quantitative Mancini analysis identifies 300 micrograms/ml of the 120-kDa protein in plasma and serum. The protein is present at normal concentrations in serum from individuals genetically deficient in C2, has no C2 functional activity, and is not cleaved as is C2 when serum complement is activated. Potent monospecific polyclonal anti-serum to each do not cross-immunoprecipitate using standard gel techniques. However, these anti-sera identify epitopes in common by Western blotting. The data presented indicate that the 120-kDa protein is a distinct plasma component and suggest that the protein is not an "immature" form of C2. Initial experiments to delineate a functional role for the 120-kDa protein have demonstrated a consistent inhibition of C1 site generation on EAC4b which is dose-dependent and reversible. Thus, this protein appears to be a new complement regulatory factor.  相似文献

Islet amyloid polypeptide (IAPP) is synthesized in pancreatic β-cells and co-secreted with insulin. Aggregation and formation of IAPP-amyloid play a critical role in β-cell death in type 2 diabetic patients. Because Aβ-fibrils in Alzheimer disease activate the complement system, we have here investigated specific interactions between IAPP and complement factors. IAPP fibrils triggered limited activation of complement in vitro, involving both the classical and the alternative pathways. Direct binding assays confirmed that IAPP fibrils interact with globular head domains of complement initiator C1q. Furthermore, IAPP also bound complement inhibitors factor H and C4b-binding protein (C4BP). Recombinant C4BP mutants were used to show that complement control protein (CCP) domains 8 and 2 of the α-chain were responsible for the strong, hydrophobic binding of C4BP to IAPP. Immunostaining of pancreatic sections from type 2 diabetic patients revealed the presence of complement factors in the islets and varying degree of co-localization between IAPP fibrils and C1q, C3d, as well as C4BP and factor H but not membrane attack complex. Furthermore, C4BP enhanced formation of IAPP fibrils in vitro. We conclude that C4BP binds to IAPP thereby limiting complement activation and may be enhancing formation of IAPP fibrils from cytotoxic oligomers.  相似文献

Structural polymorphism of murine factor H protein was demonstrated by using three different methods. 1) By prolonged agarose electrophoresis and immunofixation, factor H protein was visualized in the beta region as a single, distinct protein band in freshly bled EDTA-plasmas from many laboratory and wild mice. Two variants were detected among a large number of tested strains; one, referred to as H.1, moved faster to the anodal region (type strain, BALB/c), and the other, referred to as H.2, moved more slowly to the anodal region (type strain, STR). The F1 hybrid between BALB/c and STR exhibited a combining type of factor H protein, which was observed in each parent. 2) Two-dimensional peptide mapping analysis was carried out with tryptic peptides of these two factor H allotypes. Almost all of the spots in the maps of tryptic peptides were common to both allotypes. However, three distinct spots among the 57 spots detected in the map of tryptic peptides of the H.1 allotypes were not detected in that of H.2 allotype, whereas two spots among the 56 spots in the map of H.2 allotype were unique for this allotype. The F1 hybrid between BALB/c and STR showed a combining type of the map of parent. 3) Alloantisera against each of H allotypes were successfully produced in BALB/c or BALB/c-H.2 (a congenic strain with H.2 allotype) by repeated injection of each purified factor H protein either from the BALB/c or the STR strain. These findings indicated that the observed variants of factor H represent antigenically and structurally distinguishable allotypes. The allotypes of murine factor H protein are controlled by a single codominant locus located between the Hc locus and the beta 2M locus on the second chromosome of the mouse. This was shown by phenotyping the Hc locus and H locus with backcross progenies between A/J (one of strain with H.1) and MoA (one of strain with H.2). The recombination frequency between these two loci was 0.17 +/- 0.046.  相似文献
